Hudson River Park Walking Tour

Enjoy a walking tour along all or a portion of the Hudson River Park

This walking tour follows the east bank of the Hudson River through the newly created Hudson River Park. This park, which is reclaimed from the once very industrial riverfront, stretches for miles along the Hudson River on the western edge of Manhattan. The Hudson River Park Walking Tour will take you through the western edges of many Lower Manhattan neighbourhoods including Battery Park City, Tribeca, Greenwich Village, West Village, The Meatpacking District, Chelsea, Hells Kitchen and Midtown giving you many additional places to explore along the way.

You can walk just a portion or enjoy walking the entire length of this 550 acre park which stretches for over 5 miles. You will enjoy great views of the river along with ever changing perspectives of the New York Skyline. If you plan to walk the entire length of Hudson River Park, you should allow at least 3 hours in order to have some time to stop and absorb the sights along the way.

The Hudson River Park walk also provides a great opportunity to visit Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, as it passes right by it and, if you begin your walk in the south, you can visit Battery Park

You can begin the walk around 59th Street at the north end or at Battery Park in the southern end. See below for directions to the starting points.
