Macy's New York is America's largest department store
Nestled in Herald Square at the intersection of Broadway, Avenue of the Americas and 34th Street, Macy's flagship New York store opened in 1902 setting trends from the beginning with the first modern day escalators in New York City. Over the years, Macy's Herald Square continued to set the standard for retail outlets in New York and evolved into America's largest department store occupying one city block with eleven levels of fashion for men, women, children and the home.
Macy's Herald Square offers visitors unique small group shopping experiences including a Breakfast Fashion Show, Cosmetics Master Class and consultations with personal shoppers. International visitors can sign up for a "Macy's International Savings Card" at the Herald Square Visitor's Center entitling them to 10% all purchases in all Macy's stores for 30 days.

Ever year, Macy's Herald Square welcomes spring with its annual Flower Show with flowering cherry trees, 10 specialty gardens, flamingo topiary centrepieces, and flowers of every colour and variety imaginable on display throughout the store. On the 4th of July, Macy's celebrates Independence Day with a breathtaking fireworks display on the Hudson or East River that is not to be missed. For more than 80 years, Thanksgiving morning has been reserved to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and its world-famous gigantic balloons.
