Biodome Montreal

Fun with or without kids! We saw most of the animals. I love the different sections you get to experience. My favorite is the jungle. It is hot and humid with animals on the trees, the ground, and flying above. The monkeys were adorable. There were so many varieties of animals that were awesome to see. In the artic section, you walk into an ice dome. You can literally feel the ice walls. There are penguins (it's a little sad that area, as they mainly just stand around. I felt bad for those little ones). The other areas were better.

Must visit place if with kids. Very well laid out and staff is very helpful. Accessible via metro. Station is right outside the biodome. There is a cafeteria but on the expensive side. Kids will have lot of fun watching different animals in there natural habitat.

My family visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. The traffic was so bad in some areas, but it’s super nice watching people also enjoying the experience. The Tropical region is hot and humid and other region of the dome is relatively cold so be prepared to dress up accordingly. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Penguins as they ate fish handed by the keeper. There are other interesting animals to see/watch too. Another plus about it is that there are plenty of sitting space/waiting area scattered in each floor of the dome, a nice place where parents can rest a little especially if they have kids-in-tow. Parking area was quite a walk from the dome itself, paid around $15 for more than 3 hours. Overall a great experience.

A great place to spend a day for adults and kids alike. The environments are well creative and the interactive displays were very cool. I wish the app was a little easier to use, though, as trying to navigate it while standing amongst a crowd of people was difficult and I felt I was always standing in the way. Maybe signs with qr codes that brought you to the animal info page would be more helpful. Otherwise, it was a really fun way to spend a very cold winters day.

A unique experience. So cool that you can walk through each biome instead of just looking through glass. Wasn’t busy on a weekday. A variety of animals, fish and birds. We spent about 2 hours and took our time. Highly recommend!
