5 Star Rating I'm in London to visit friends, but had a day to myself. Because it was Sunday, I was searching for places that served a Sunday roast. So I walked a few miles to this place, through the pulsating Camden. I ended up in this nice and quiet area, at this extremely cozy place, which was neatly decorated for Christmas, and Christmas music playing, adding to the experience in a good way! At the bar, I was met by this lovely woman who showed me to my table. I need to specifically highlight her, as she showed me what great service is. It didn't take long for my roast and beer to arrive. As I dug in, I just started smiling. The food was so good, packed with flavor, some crunch from the vegetables. The carrot and potatoes were perfectly done. And the beer complimented it all really well. I LOVE doing random things like this, and everyone else going here after me, will not walk away disappointed. Thank you for having me!

5 Star Rating Went for lunch an amazing “ working lunch “ menu £10 a Main or £20 for 3 Starter of fish cakes exquisite, more akin to bistro v pub . Yet the quality of the cooking kept on coming. The cod cooked to perfection, translucent with another amazing sauce full of flavour Dessert also did not disappoint Ignore the negative feedback from muppets who turn up on a Sunday lunchtime at 1pm and can’t believe it’s rammed QED . Give them a chance the chef is amazing

4 Star Rating Above the average British pub in terms of food. Many tables outside for those fee sunny days. We chose to eat the chicken sharer and everything tasted great. Sweet ports potato fries and humus were excellent. We also had a Caesar salad with anchovies. Service was fast and everyone very polite and always responsive to our requests. I would definitely go back.

5 Star Rating 🚇 Chalk Farm 🍺 £6.30 Moretti ❤️ A relaxing Gastro in plush Primrose Hill. . The Lansdowne is located on Gloucester Avenue in the upmarket enclave of Primrose Hill. The nearest tube is Chalk Farm which is a five minute walk. . This pub was built in 1861 and was a Charringtons pub for many years. The pub is clad in beautiful tiles, if you look just below the awning you can see the original Charrington’s signage. . The decor here is traditional with some contemporary touches. The walls are off white with cobalt blue panelling which is also around the bar. Dotted around the pub are chalkboards detailing the food menu and wine list. . The beer choice was solid, 9 keg and 2 cask. I went for a Moretti which was a good pint and just north of six quid. As it’s Christmas time, there was a caldron of mulled wine on the bar for those who fancy a festive tipple. As this is a gastro, the food menu is a fair few notches above your normal pub fayre. The food was popular, most of the clientele were dining with the exception of a couple of tables. . The service was excellent, the chap who served me was personable and getting in the spirit with his Christmassy shirt. The atmosphere was buzzy, the crowd was a mixture of couples, families and a large group of French guys enjoying the fine cuisine. . The @lansdownenw1 is a handsome Gastropub in a pretty neighbourhood which makes this place an attractive proposition. If you just want to come here for a beer or a glass of wine then there are provisions for you, this place would be great for date night. If you’re exploring the area then definitely pop in for a visit. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 10/12/22

4 Star Rating Love this pub, have been coming here since I was a kid. Unfortunately the Sunday roast was a bit of a let down. I had the triple roast and ordered extra sides such cauliflower cheese and braised cabbage. The roast itself came with 3 tiny pieces of each meat - turkey, beef and pork. The roast potato’s were more lightly cooked than roasted. The stuffing was dry and the mash potato was solid. The cauliflower cheese looked like it was just normal cooked cauliflower with a sprinkle of grated cheese on top and shoved in the oven. The braised cabbage was ok - the apple was a little overpowering. Presentation of it was great and it looked like a 10/10 roast dinner, but it was a bit of a let down. The gravy on the other hand was delicious! I don’t think I would go back here for a Sunday roast

5 Star Rating We had such a lovely night out with friends. The Crab and Lobster Mac and cheese was AMAZING! 🔥 everything we tried was delicious. My boyfriend thought the portions looked too small when we looked at pictures online, but then with a started and main it was more than enough. I had a delicious vegan mutton(jackfruit) so flavoursome.

4 Star Rating Sunday roast but Caribbean style! 🍗 . ⭐️Overall rating: 6/10 🍽️ Recommendation: Pork belly roast 💁‍♂️Service: very friendly and welcoming 💰30pp (roast + drink) 🚇Closest station: Chalk Farm . I'm always up for mixing things up and trying different twists on traditional things. That's why I was pleased to try the new Sunday roast Caribbean style at @Cottons in Camden (they have multiple branches around London). . ➕Interior is very authentic and cute, there is also live music. I would recommend the Pork belly roast as it was cooked perfectly. The jerk chicken was so well seasoned and flavoured, much better than your usual roast chicken 😌 . ➖The downside was the portion size which was on a smaller side, especially the portion of roast potatoes and vegetables. Yorkshire pudding was a bit soggy with the gravy already poured on top and we haven't received any extra gravy (but I guess you could ask for it). Overall the meat was outstanding but the 'traditional' bits of roast were lacking a little bit. . ➕However for the price of £18 it's a very cheap roast (average roast in London is £28-32). So I'd guess money for value is pretty good and it's still something slightly different to try. . They offer pork belly, jerk chicken, lamb shank and vegan nut roast. . 🍗WE TRIED: Pork belly roast Half jerk chicken roast Guinness Punch 🍺 Rum Punch🍹

The guys bringing round the drinks were fab, literally couldn't fit anymore into the glass if they tried! Rum punch personally was quite heavy and sickly but that's just personal preference. 4 Star Rating Lovely little place with delicious food and friendly service. It drops a star for the eye watering prices… a small burger with NO chops and a beer came to £24! How about £4.99 for the slider and £9.99 for a burger? I was also confused as to why the cheaper Slider was not available when there was no mention of this on the menu? Overall, very nice food but not for those on a budget.

Owner greets and has a nice chat with all the visitors, very personable service. The burger meat is of very high quality and presentation of my truffle oil fries was good. Milkshake was pretty nice too and they serve a peculiar east London beer called E1 Brew Co IPA. Overall great vibe and very clean! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pick me up in the area! 5 Star Rating What can I say we visited Burger Bites on the 17th November 2021 after receiving the Bottomless Platter as a Birthday gift on buyagift.com. We arrived over an hour early than our booking and Andrew was easily able to accommodate us. Its been a long time since an owner was so passionate and attentive to our needs. We was fed unlimited bottles beer which was a unexpected surprise which first impressed me, however the main event was the wings and burgers. We have never been to a more unique burger stop than this and I consider myself a massive foodie. We managed 3 rounds of food and was able to sample every burger, each of them was 10/10 our favourites were the Lamb, Duck, Chicken and Jack Daniels. They were cooked and presented perfectly each having its own flavour and toppings. The wings were huge and must say the Wow coating was incredible, the Peri Peri and Korean were also excellent. The sides & sauces were also delicious even when we was leaving Andrew insisted that we had more! To which we took up his offer and he prepared two fresh lamb burgers for us to take home. I simply cannot fault my evening. Will definitely be returning to try the afternoon tea!

4 Star Rating Me and my friend arrived and ordered a little after 5pm, their opening time. The food didn’t come out till 50 past (that includes the drinks which I feel typically come out first while we wait for the food). Quality of the food was really good, very tasty. Buffalo chicken tenders were insanely good, so crispy and they weren’t entirely drenched in the sauce so it didn’t get soggy. Halloumi fries seasoned well but rosemary was too strong and I just prefer them battered. Without batter it gets very dry. Garlic parm fries could have used more sauce perhaps layered underneath but were unreal, loved the flavour. I felt the chicken burger could have used a lot more sauce too. Otherwise just tastes like a standard fried chicken burger, slightly overpriced when compared to what you can get elsewhere. Service was already slow but got even slower once it started getting busier. Perhaps they’re understaffed here. But good food all in all, especially the tenders and fries. Will probably come back just for those next time.

3 Star Rating Smash burgers were absolutely delicious! I would love to go back and try even more of them.. The biggest fault with this restaurant is the very slow and disoriented service.. it took around 20 minutes for me to get a burger as the guy at the grill was only cooking a few patties at the time while he had around 10 tickets to go through. I have see a few mistakes burgers been thrown away as well and ultimately got the wrong burger served. A shame as the product is actually really good and at a decent price!

4 Star Rating Fantastic restaurant to pop into at short notice on a Friday night. We were seeing Goldfrap at the Roundhouse and had over an hour to eat somewhere. We were told that we could only stay for an hour an hour due to how busy they were, which is fair enough. We wwew rushed a little, out the leftover salad from out starters were immediately taken away although the waitress did ask if it was okay. Then the moment we finished our main courses, our plates were taken away and the bill was brought out, within 40 minutes. But overall it was fine. Most of the servers are great and the decor in the restaurant and toilets are exquisite and add to the experience.

4 Star Rating The food was delicious. However, the quantities leave more to be desired: I therefore recommend ordering a starter (e.g. spring rolls), a starch (rice/noodles) and a protein with sauce ( e.g. chicken/tofu curry). There were trains running under the restaurant every 5 minutes, which can be mildly annoying, but is out of the restaurant's control. Finally, they don't provide an itemized bill, which we calculated to be off by ~£1 using the menu + 10%. If we're paying a service charge, then I at least expect an itemized bill.

5 Star Rating Could this be one of the top entirely vegan restaurants in London based solely on taste alone?! In summary: yes! Surreptitiously exposed on a block corner facing a main road to Camden Town, Power Plant is a surprising eatery. It's a classic mix of bar and restaurant, with a little more emphasis on the former than the latter. You'll have the choice of eating al fresco in front of the aforementioned main road, or within the dive bar-like dark ambience of the interior which is punctuated by the occasional plant suited to the establishment's name. As noted with other reviewers it's difficult to know what to do when you arrive: there's no obvious 'please wait here to be seated' signage, and if you're really unlucky the few staff that are available will be busy serving existing customers. But be patient if you can because as already hinted, the food makes up for the shortcoming in experience. Sitting at the table, everything seemed clean. If you're visually sensitive, in the late afternoon and early evening of the summer, sunlight can shine very brightly through the west-facing windows. Without any blinds to block these, choosing where to sit becomes a strategic affair. Nevertheless, when you manage to get the friendly and apologetic waiter's rare attention, you can order. We chose a hummus dish with various sauces and bread to kick off our meal (a fantastic opener with a wide variety of taste experiences), followed by the Jerusalem mixed grill and skinny fries (the mince will blow you away if you're a (former) meat eater). All very well cooked and tantalising on the tastebuds! The savoury dishes were so good in fact, we wanted to see if dessert held up to the same standard - currently this is very limited to a single option: a filo pie with fruit, but it's a very worthy and unique dish that meets the exceptional standard found earlier - not overly sweet but very satisfying with a range of textures. What soon becomes clear is that Power Plant has a really talented chef - he even came out of the kitchen to gauge our opinion of the food - always a good sign of a chef that cares. We returned our opinions with big smiles. Overall, a fantastic food experience despite the minor hiccups with the earlier part of the customer journey. I'll be sure to return to try their brunch. Nevertheless, I can already see this restaurant launching into the top three vegan restaurant experiences in London thanks to its stellar fare. A credit to the culinary potential of vegan food everywhere, Power Plant comes highly recommended! ⭐

4 Star Rating Second time here for dinner. The atmosphere is great, I love the venue! There was a live DJ when we arrived. The staff are super friendly but when I got there, it was not clear where to go to get seated. Everyone at the bar was busy and not paying attention. Other people arrived and were just standing around too! I called a waiter who was running around with drinks after a few minutes of this. They were super friendly after that, it would be great if someone could keep an eye on that to make sure customers don't feel lost or get the sense that staff are rude which is not then case. We took a while to order, and sadly 2 of the 3 items they had ran out of. Telling us about the items unavailable would have been a great place to start! The food that arrived was really good! We had the Jerusalem mixed grill, best dish, the "lamb" was great, the vegetables and pitta were delicious, well seasoned 5/5. The mushroom pate was very tasty, good texture and flavours. The apricot jam was pleasant and mild, good combination as well with the pickled mushrooms on top. Could have come with more bread, we literally had to spoon the pate into our mouths (which I'm not too bothered about). The last dish, the smoked aubergine was average. Very smokey, the best were the sauces with it. It would probably taste better on some bread too! Overall, pleasant experience, there are definitely some dishes id like to come back for (hopefully they have them !)

4 Star Rating Vegan burger & chips were really nice, the beer was fine, service good. I could only find one ladies loo and I thought I was stuck in it because the lock was really odd. Also it was only 7.30 or so and the floor of the lavatory was awash with water, mostly because the taps stick out too far over tha basin. It seems a bit quibbly because the food, drink & service were fine.
