5 Star Rating This is my first afternoon tea experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of it. The staff are so welcoming, friendly, and fun to chat with (huge shout-out to Yolanda, Ying, and Jules!). The foods are top-notch: the sandwiches are traditionally flavors beautifully executed, the scone warm & fluffy, the cakes balanced & incredibly creative, and the tea selection is just heaven to me.

2 Star Rating Mixed emotions. Had potential to be a good stay but service was lacking. So at check in confirmed our stay but said breakfast wasn't included. I then provided my travel documents which stated breakfast was included. Staff member took a picture and was going to check in to it. But no one ever really did. She did give us a voucher for what we believed was to be a complimentery breakfast. However at check out had to pay 45 £ for an English Breakfast??? So confusing. Meant to be a stay for a special occasion but turned out to be disappointing. Location is not great for exploring. Have to take the tube 20-30 min to get to most sights. Just overall a let down. Probably best to choose a different hotel and location if you want a better stay in London. For sure go else where for your food.

5 Star Rating The vegan afternoon tea was amazing. Great selection of food, refined tasty sandwiches, flavourful scones and delicate patisseries. The vegan cream for the scones was great, and the green chestnut tea was fantastic. Buddhika's service was wonderful, very helpful and friendly, thanks again. Mario's cocktails were perfect too. Completely recommend!!

5 Star Rating Excellent boutique hotel, perfect location, clean and friendly staff! Me and my wife stayed 3 nights in April 2024, in a double superior room on the 3rd floor towards the inner yard, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. Very friendly staff, nice check in process. We got a room that was large, with a double bed, desk, drawer, Nespresso machine and a spacious bathroom with all possible amenities. We got a refill of coffee capsules and a water bottle free every day. The bed with pillows and blanket were very comfortable. Location is perfect; 1 block from Paddington station, Hyde Park and Lancaster gate subway station. It is difficult to find good hotels with normal-sized rooms in London at a reasonable price, this was definitely the best we have stayed in!

5 Star Rating Great hotel, albeit with comically bumbling service during breakfast (although the food itself was superb). I'd definitely come back though. Perfect location for Paddington station. Booked a standard room and was given a super mini suite with a balcony. Can't complain at all, given the price was cheaper than most Premier Inns and Travelodges for the same night.

4 Star Rating Had dinner here yesterday! They were awesome at accommodating our table request and we had quick service. The food was pretty good but the pomodoro sauce was a little bland. A little odd that there wasn't salt/pepper on the table, but it was still delicious without. Highlight of the meal was the dessert! The blood orange and chocolate tart was super delicious and came with raspberry sorbet. The salted caramel gelato sundae was also delicious.

5 Star Rating Amazing experience here at Ask Italian. The 3 course Christmas lunch was only £27.50, which is quite a good deal when compared to other restaurants. We didn’t expect the starters to come in large portions too and were already full by the time we got to the mains. The mains themselves were also extremely tasty and the service was amazing. Everyone was really attentive to our table. Would definitely recommend.

3 Star Rating Honest review, the service was slow and the staff were unfriendly almost coldish. I enjoyed the meatball and sage appetizer It was more flavorful than the bolognese pasta. I did ask for extra sauce and they actually made it perfectly. I wish it was just a bit more flavored. The pasta was perfectly cooked. My friend got the beef brisket papardele that was actually delicious. We got the desserts the tiramisu was very tasty and hit the spot.

The impeccable combination of exquisite food, top-notch quality, and attentive service effortlessly hits all the right marks, creating a memorable dining experience. 5 Star Rating Incredible place, that I imagine for most of us, would seldom be a treat! Amazing front of house, very helpful with any needs and suggestions for meals and what might compliment it. We ended up chatting to our waiter after the meal as she was so engaging. Food was amazing as you would expect for the price. Melding jewish cuisine with fine dining in a way that you couldn't tell of any limitations. I was also surprised by how filling the food was, given connotations as to portion sizes for nicer restaurants in general. I had the chicken soup which had an amazing balance of flavours, as well as the duck in orange sauce, which was so delicate but packed so much taste. My favourite was the dessert, which was an Eton mess, generally no idea how they made it as good as it was, with the meringue having an unreal chewy texture and the overall dish feeling refreshing after the meal. If you can afford to go or as a celebration I could not recommend Tony Page any higher.

5 Star Rating Excellent dinner. Thank you Giancarlo and staff. We booked the dinner through The Fork app and sent a message earlier in the day about our kids, allergies to eggs and nuts. Giancarlo responded via email to let us know what pastors and pizza did not have eggs. We were able to order, spaghetti, rigatoni, and any pizza. We really appreciated the early notice. We each ordered a pasta or a pizza, and also split lamb chops at the table. Everything was yummy. The kids ordered the spaghetti all'Amatriciana, Rigatoni alla Genovese, and the Diavola pizza. They all finished their healthy sized portions (especially the pizza) and joked with the wait staff about the amount of Parmesan that our youngest had on his pasta. My wife had the Gnocchi con Nduja e Salsicca (which was so good! And she didn’t finish and we brought some home) and I had the Margherita pizza with some of the Lamb Chops. The pizza was a little more doughy than we thought it would be, but it was unique and so flavourful! My eldest som even had a bite. The Lamb Chops smelled and tasted amazing, just the perfect amount of char grill on it. All the staff were friendly. The waitress working the desserts was prepping them right beside our table. That convinced us to get three desserts to share. We had the Gelati, the Belgium Apple Flan, and the After Dinner Mint. Our youngest licked the Mint dessert clean, loved it. The wafers in the Gelati may have had eggs so the allergy free folks in our group ate them. Everything was scrumptious. Great spot, great ambience, and really friendly staff. we reserved our table through The Fork to get extra discount as well. This place was steady, and it looked like there were a number of locals who frequent the spot. That doesn’t surprise him because everything but the spirits was just excellent. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful night.

4 Star Rating Taormina is a cozy place situated very close to the gardens. It has excellent service and a good selection of Italian food. 3 Star Rating Unfortunately, my trip to Taormina raised my expectations in visiting this potentially quaint restaurant. The music was a radio station, so the ambience was not fitting to an authentic Italian. The staff were attentive, but it was super quiet on a busy, sunny day and they were not in the mood for friendliness or conversation. All a bit matter of fact. The fried fish was average and portion and variety were pretty poor for the price (£22). Otherwise, the sides were reasonable, decor felt right, and location pleasant, it was all just very dour and disappointing.

5 Star Rating Oh. my. god. wow. This is a small Italian restaurant on a quiet street, and one hundred percent worth going to. We went when it wasn’t busy so the staff was very polite and on top of everything. Every single bite of their food exceeded every expectation I had. We started with the garlic bread (which I ate four of) then moved on to the entrees. And then I took a bite of the best pizza I had ever had in my entire life (literally). Every bite of that pizza was like ascending to another plane of existence. I couldn’t finish my meal because I was unbelievably full, but I still ordered desert. We got the gelato and the cheesecake. And the gelato was beyond any other gelato I have ever had. Absolutely wonderful experience, super nice staff and amazing food. Definitely worth checking out.

5 Star Rating This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We found this place through Google and when we arrived and noticed it was in a hotel, we were skeptical… But walking into Nipa transported me to Thailand. The decorations and big windows overlooking the Park are just lovely. The service and waiting staff was impeccable. I wish I was able to remember our server’s name, because she was so amazing. All of the staff were so accommodating and kind, and even made food preparations special for my mother who is extremely averse to coriander — and they did it happily! And finally, THE FOOD. They started us out with a complementary fried mushroom with sweet chili sauce. Amazing way to start! We tried all of our normal go-to Thai dishes as a true test — some form of rice wrap, chicken satay, and green curry chicken — as well as their Koong Pao King Prawn special. This food was truly extraordinary. So delicious and flavorful, yet so simply executed. You can tell they take their cuisine very seriously. I have no hesitation saying that this is the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. I cannot wait to come back for takeaway and dinner many, many, MANY more times! :)

3 Star Rating I remember popping over after a little trip away, so was keen on some authentic Malay food. Now bearing in mind, I’ve been there and know what the cuisine should taste like and is capable of delivering. The place had a funky smell to it and the food was quite disappointed - lacked flavours and freshness, and the icing of pain was that it was super pricey for the portions/quality provided. It was microscopic for my appetite. The staff were kind and friendly, but it’s really not an appealing spot that is inviting or has a welcoming feel. As for the food itself, I’ve made better at home. 4/10.

4 Star Rating Its been over a decade since i last ate here. I feel that the food quality is about the same; its good for something away from the flagpole but nothing to write home about. They dont skimp on the flavors, but portions could be better/improved for what you pay for. There was very little meat in the daging salai masak lemak but lots of bamboo shoots. Seating is very tight. You get bumped every single time the server or guest walks behind your chair if you are seated in the aisle when there are a lot of patrons. It gets very annoying quickly. There was a guest that sat at our table when one of us vacated the seat to go to the bathroom because i guess they wanted our table and was pressuring us to leave. It may have seen like we were done eating or something, but not all of our dishes had even arrived. We were still waiting on the desserts. The servers looked like they did not care and we had to tell her off. Food took a while to get out and they came out sporadically. Drinks came out quick though. Overall, a good place to get a taste of malaysian food while in london but the dining experience is lacking.

5 Star Rating The Rendang is very delicious The udang masak (prawn) is delicious The roti canai dhal is good too The ayam goreng (chicken with egg yolk) is good but I would not order it again as it was deep fried and somewhat too greasy for my taste My friend had the noodles which she liked a lot and said was flavorful. The service is friendly and attentive, the only issue is all our food arrived at once and the fried chicken came to the table cold, when we told the server they told us they’d take it back and reheat it for us. I do not know if that is acceptable by any standard but given the price being charged, I expect my food to arrive to the table hot, so no reheating!

5 Star Rating I don't usually write reviews but this place was so lovely I had to !! I got the chicken curry with rice and it was amazing, would definitely recommend giving this place a try and for sure be coming back. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and greeting everyone with a smile (and a Salaam if they saw you were visibly muslim). If I wasn't going back for the food I'd defo be going back for them :)) The place itself is also very muslim friendly. There's a prayer room downstairs (only big enough for one person at a time, and also has a wudhu basin inside too), they don't serve alcohol at all, and the entire menu is halal, with a couple of vegetarian options. The actual dining area is quite small but it does feel really intimate and homey, it wasn't busy when we went (just before 1pm) and it was a really nice vibe/environment. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected in London. It's definitely cheaper and far more authentic than the other Malaysian restaurant down the road though. You know Tukdin is good when Malaysian people choose to regularly dine there and enjoy the food a lot. - Fried Garlic Chicken - so so crispy and full of flavour, was a little tough though but that could just be because I ate it after it sat on the table for a while - 6.5/10 - Chicken Curry with Rice - literal perfection, the curry was so creamy, with the perfect level of spice and the portions were so big. they definitely weren't stingy with the chicken as well as there was so many pieces - 10/10

4 Star Rating I am a regular visitor of their Hounslow branch, so I can make a very good comparison. This place is very centrally located near Paddington station but is much smaller than the Hounslow branch. It would be may be one fifth by size. Food is okay but not as good as compared to the Hounslow branch. May be because the chefs are different, that's why there is that difference. But the overall food was good as well. Though the preparation was totally different from Hiunslow but I can't call it bad. The place is very small and has a retro effect. The service was okay but could have been better. It is very popular among the locals, as when I was there the restaurant was totally full and the manager had to return 5-6 customers for non availability of table. Overall, it didn't disappoint me.

5 Star Rating We had a lovely starter, meal and drinks here. After a long day in Londen it was very nice to wind down and have a good meal. Would eat here again when I am back in Londen. Prices are good aswell.

5 Star Rating Just had a Chicken Jalfrezi and fries to take away and eat in work and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best Jalfrezi I have ever tasted, right amount of heat and packed with flavour. I would highly recommend this restaurant to eat in or take away. Thanks Trev
