Elegant. Chic. Tasty food.
Lovely place in Duke of York Square where I hosted a small group of two after a business meeting.
Staff were very attentive and friendly. They catered for my allergy requirements and vegetarian food request. The wine was extraordinary and we had a very nice meal.
Do try the courgette fries on the side. Rare to find these days but they are one of my favourites.
Perfect setting for a romantic meal, with friends or business contacts. Would definitely come again soon.

Some of the most delicious pasta I’ve had in London. Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, really fine dining Italian. Good size portions even though it is expensive no doubt. I’m not one to splash on pasta but having tried Manicomio now, I may change my mind about this. Very unique pasta in my opinion. Location is beautiful on Duke of York Square, nicer than the one in The City I reckon.

Unfortunately not what I expected. Service was great, atmosphere beautiful and the restaurant in general is gorgeous. However, the food especially the pasta was dreadful to say at least. We ordered the carbonara dish and it was so overcooked, barely any pancetta, the sauce was unseasoned and just bland. Very disappointing for an Italian place, how can’t you not cook pasta properly? And for the price you are paying it’s just unacceptable, 26£ it’s insane. I wanted to return the dish but my friends stopped me cause I was so mad and didn’t want to escalate things.
We also had the yellow tuna fish carpaccio, which was great, and the chicken milanesa which was ok nothing special.
Honest we are not talking about an authentic Italian restaurant, but an overpriced restaurant that’s just cute on the paper. Definitely not visiting again.

I really enjoyed a Sunday lunch sitting outside, it reminded me home, having lunch in Italy sitting outside in a local square!
We ordered some prosciutto and burrata which was great.
I ordered lobster pasta which was delicious and very generous with the lobster, but way too much parsley which actually ruined the taste. It won’t stop me going back though- next time I’ll just ask for no parsley!

Lovely place for dinner. We’re tourists walking around the block and decided to pop in after looking at their menu. Pity the lamb shoulder wasn’t available. Had the cod and roast chicken instead. Fresh flavourful ingredients. Cocktails were yummy too.

We booked a table at the bar for 4 for a 2 hours slot. We really enjoyed their signature cocktails i really recommend the Taj Mahal and the pyramids of Ghizza.
I'm not giving them 5 stars for the reason that although we had a 2 hour slot we were informed, not asked, that the table was reserved again half an hour earlier than what we had booked. I didn't say anything at that time. Then they started pestering us to order more when we only had 15 minutes left which made us leave almost 45 minutes before our reservation was over.

Went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we were a big group. We opted for the bottomless brunch with two courses. The drinks came quickly and the food was good. But the service, particularly Andrea, was ❤️🔥❤️ We all left happy and satisfied☺️

I can't say enough about Angelina's outstanding service at the restaurant. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcomed and valued as customers. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience truly made a difference. Thank you, Angelina, for making our evening memorable!

A group of us came for the bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent from Andrea and the team. Good selection of drinks for the bottomless option. The cafe is nicely decorated inside and overall the atmosphere was great. The only let down was the food. Strange selection of appetisers. The red pepper tapenade was ok but was more suitable as a sharer rather than a starter as part of bottomless package. The main (salmon) didn’t taste good and the portion was small. The hash that went with it was oily, burnt and bad tasting. A really strange dish.

Be warned - the wine they serve by the glass is from a keg. My friend complained about the odd taste. The bartender shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer a replacement. I felt obliged to buy our group a bottle... which turned out to be overpriced. This didn't feel good enough for an established theatre bar.
Clare Bloomer - 4 months ago
Nice bar and kitchen below the Royal Court theatre. It was very busy before a show so definitely book ahead. There's a really decent drinks range for every taste at usual London prices. The food, considering the limited time the kitchen is open is good, mostly plant based. I went for a few small plates (3 for £13 or so) which were a perfect pre-theatre snack between two.
The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Even if you're not visiting the theatre here it's well worth a visit as it has a great atmosphere...just check the limited opening times.
Adam - a year ago
I ordered a margarita and it was very sour and tasted quite synthetic. I returned to the bar and there was not an apology nor an offer to remake it. Poor customer service and low quality of drinks.
(The manager commented on my review straight away, encouraging me to be in touch and I did indeed, and haven't heard anything from them for a week. This attitude can be considered as another evidence of poor customer service!).

A Belgravia, corner house pub with. Good, large square room with a statement central octagonal bar commanding the space with a great beer selection on tap. Other good statements coming from studded, leather armchairs, bench seats, artwork & cool window topped washroom doors with painted lettering. Some identity issues from the faux wood panel paper, checked carpet & an expectation of more historic heritage vibe. Large screen with great all round views of sport, good vibe of groups of friends.

A delightful, simple and friendly pub offering a fine selection of beers both keg and cask. Service is bright and cheerful. The eponymous Duke is celebrated here with pictures adorning the walls and a fireplace, perhaps similar to the one whence his violin was consigned. The rest, as they say is history. A lovely pub to Pop into for a drink or two.

Great spot for a yarn. When we were there we had a chap called Dave who cooks pork pies up the road and apparently owned many pubs in a previous life, still owned a number of boats harboured in San Francisco and other places, had a 34 year old French/Belgian wife (Dave was easily 70) and was missing many teeth. But still……

Came for girlfriends birthday, when we walked in the service was cold, the server who spoke to us at first was not really helpful, he pointed us in the direction of our table without us really knowing where we were going as the table was round the corner so was a little awkward. Sat down, ordered relatively quickly with two waiters, one waiter wasn’t really bothered, the other took a little more time and care with us. The food wasn’t too slow, starters and mains were great, French onion soup was the best dish we had, my girlfriend thought her steak and sauce was a little too salty, but can be just down to preference, I ordered the same and was happy with mine, wine was great, didn’t stay for desert but we wanted to, overall we enjoyed the vibe a lot and the food, it’s gorgeous and cozy. Not the cheapest eat, we ordered specials though so can’t expect too much. For the price you pay with service, I think it was lacking a little, which was a shame, would go again, and hope it was just a bad night as it happens to everyone.

Visited several times with a group of friends and always loved it. However, our recent visit was not as good as usual. There was no atmosphere whatsoever, the waiters barely spoke to us, apart from lovely Eric. The chips were inedible and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and when we mentioned it, it was met with total indifference. There was a lady at the counter who didn’t acknowledge us and only smiled when we paid the bill and left. We travelling a long way from Surrey to get there and were disappointed on this occasion, so much so that we even thought it had changed hands.

I reserved this venue to go over customer feedback, and I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity to celebrate my husband's birthday with a dinner here. The ambiance was wonderful, and every dish was not only delicious but also generously portioned. The entire staff was incredibly kind as well. There was just one aspect that gave us a slight pause - the wobbly table. It became especially noticeable when we needed to use a knife for the steak; we had to be cautious not to disturb the candles. The lighting was a tad dim, but it created a very pleasant atmosphere overall.

My friend and I had a lovely time at this restaurant. The duck confit was sublime and had the perfect amount of flavours to keep me enticed during every bite. At the end, the tarte tatin and crème brûlée weren’t to our taste (the latter served cold - which we were told was usual - and the former was not sweet) and we informed the staff. They took the desserts off the bill and gave us a chocolate mousse to compensate. Really nice touch as we were not expecting to be given another dessert. Would 100% return to la poule au pot and can’t wait for Maggie jones to be open once again. Perfect staff - very attentive and apologetic. Perfect ambience.

A Sunday treat. Always nice spending time at the Daylesford farm's cafe. A little oasis, located in a small quiet square that will give you a European-esque feeling. The food is simple and tasty. Coffee is nice too. I took a more recent pic of their menu but be aware it changes rather often.

Good quality foods , Rose but the staff are pretty lacklustre in their service. No real attempt to be friendly just really standoffish. I understand it’s just a grocery store to some but for these prices you’d expect better in all honesty .
In terms of food selection the cakes and drinks are great. The wines in particular are a standout

First time here while visiting London. Nice looking place with fresh organic fruit and veg for sell. Service was fine for me, staff nice and polite. It's organic and it's in a nice area of London so yeah it's expensive.

I visited today and though the ground level was really nice and colourful the upstairs cafe was so bland and boring. My wife and I only had tea and a shared muffin so I can’t comment on the other food choices but they did look nice.
We asked for a pot of tea for two but were given two separate pots. It was £9.50 for what we had, (includes one small muffin) which is expensive. When I went to pay there was the option of a ‘optional service charge’ to which I declined, this didn’t stop our server from asking that the £10 I gave was not enough. I explained that I didn’t want to pay the additional charge as it was optional.
I’ve been to other organic places before and I felt this place could have made the cafe part so much more inviting. As I said at the start it’s all bland, there’s some small plants on the tables but there isn’t any green inside growing in big pots only outside which is such a shame.

This is a great restaurant, delicious food and nice staff. With good service.
I really loved everything about Caraffini, we called before thier closing time by an hour and they told us we can walk in and we will be seated. Its very quiet and intimate spot.
We ordered, sea bass, salmon, rositio, and potato and broccoli side.
I'd evaluate the cleanness and hygiene 5/5, because I saw them how they handle plates, spoons, cups...etc

Absolutely delicious. We arrived at 9.30pm on a Thursday evening and the place was full - that says something! Each of our dishes was really amazing, and I’d 100% recommend coming here. The livers and veal medallions were stand out dishes for me, but really can’t fault any. Waiters are great, not too attentive, just right. Thank you!

This is a cozy Italian restaurant serving quality Italian cuisine. It is very popular in the area that the restaurant is filled with guests all the time. if you visit the restaurant, you will find it a beautiful, clean and decent restaurant. It seems that it is also a popular venue for proper dinner.
The food was prepared in very high quality. I like the "Scampi and Asapagus in cream sauce" that the fresh seafood is a delight to the dish. Also, Creme Brulee is cooked to perfect texture. Though the pasta is not in AL dente, the overall dining experience is great here.

We had our wedding reception dinner at Enoteca Turi, and we are so happy with our choice! Everyone there is so friendly and the food was amazing. We went to visit a couple times before to see the space and ask questions, everyone we spoke to were more than happy to help us out and made the process a lot smoother.
On the day when we arrived after the ceremony, everything was set up already and looked amazing. it was really great to not have to worry about setting anything up and the team were really accommodating. They even recommended a florist for us so the flowers were arranged and delivered.
Gosia could not have been faulted, from responding to emails and answering questions to making sure that no glass was empty. She really made the evening relaxed and fun. All of our guests commented on how great she was.
All of the table was handled from the flowers, personalised menus and name cards. All of the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. It also visually looked incredible and was timed perfectly. We were able to bring our own wedding cake which was a lovely touch and had help from the team to cut it and serve.
We couldn’t be happier with our choice to have our wedding here, and would definitely recommend for anyone, looking for an intimate and romantic dinner with their loved ones to celebrate their big day!

This is by far the most honest Italian food I had in a while in the UK (and I am Italian). Chef Giampiero Giuliani and Mr Daniele Siro have created a true experience of traditional regional dishes with sufficient twists to make it original but keeping the honest flavors. Also, the Mazzara’s shrimps are simply the most original (and coveted shrimp) taste of Sicily. Wine wise…we got Pantelleria’s dessert wines (arguably known for dessert wines) that close a list of unmatched selection. It was like a trip to the sunshine and sea at the Mediterranean.

The restaurant itself it’s beautiful and very modern. The service was also amazing and we had a lovely waiter. We really enjoyed the wine and focaccia. However, the rest of the food was rather mediocre, especially for the price. The vitello tonnato was just the veal slices but pretty much no tuna sauce. The veal was good quality but lacked taste a little bit due to lack of seasoning. The veal ravioli were a bit too al dente and really nothing special sadly and quite bland. For mains we had the veal saltimboca and the guinea fowl. Sadly the veal was very over cooked, dry and hard to cut. The best part were the small pickled onions on the side. The Guinea fowl was ok but lacked flavour. Our sides were tasty though (cavolo nero and potatoes). After we finished we got some biscuits which was kind. All in all sadly a bit underwhelming and we expected more given a bill of £200. The bill staff was definitely great though.

Came here for a special occasion meal. Looking at the positives, the restaurant is located in a nice area of London, the place was very clean and the environment was quite nice. The staff were extremely attentive and I feel like the service was excellent. However, the food was really quite average. Probably slightly better than average, but I find it really difficult to try and justify the prices that they charge.
I Came here because of a friend recommendation, and after reading the reviews on here, however the food was really no different to any other Chinese restaurants I have been in Chinatown. There is a lot of variety of dishes, and we had a 12 course tasting menu, however, the portions are tiny, and none of the dishes particularly were stand out.
£170 for lunch for 2 with 2 drinks is really a lot of money for what you get. Plus there is an optional service charge of 15%, which is automatically added to the bill. I was expecting more food from Hunan region, but ask someone who has lived in China, this really did not live up to my expectations. What did impress me was that the staff did really try to give great service and it did feel the service was better than most other Chinese restaurants. As an everyday restaurant, Hunan is a nice alternative to what is on offer generally in London, but I do not feel like it is the sort of place for a special occasion where the focus is on high-quality food.

The tasting menu is a fabulous experience. I like it that I don't order anything off the menu and food arrives! Lots of stand out dishes in the 12 courses or so. Then you get mains! While good the mains aren't as stand out amazing as the tasting intros. Overall excellent quality.

16 starters, 1 main 1 dessert and about 3 hours. All the food was excellent and varied. We opted for the duck pancakes as the main. The dessert wasn’t too my liking but I think I’d feel that way about most Chinese deserts. Service was welcoming. Most of the courses come out more or less back to back. There was a whole we felt we were forgotten about but was made up for with an apology and complimentary glass of champagne. Would definitely recommend Hunan for a Chinese food experience!

Mixed feelings with this place, there were som great dishes that were definitely a standout: eg. the soups were amazing, the lightly battered fried beans were great,
the beef, prawns and cod were great too.
However, i didn’t enjoy some dishes like the mussels and the pig ear. While the speciality of this place is to try alot of food for a reasonable price, i did wish they focused on serving 10 great dishes instead of focusing so much on quantity. It almost reminded me of a Chinese wedding banquet. Would recommend this place if you want to try many chinese dishes all at once, they may not all be 10/10, but it’s a good variety.

An interesting dining experience. 18 small plates of very well cooked mostly classic Chinese dishes that you would find in authentic Chinese restaurants. There is no menu so each dish was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the ingredients is apparent. Except for a couple of dishes like the fried beans and the mussels in black bean sauce you pretty much only get one or two mouthfuls of each dish. The concept is great if there are only a few of you and like variety.
They were very good about substituting dishes to accommodate dietary requirements.
A couple of dishes like the chicken and the main course of fried rice and steamed sea bass were only above average.
The black cod in a reduced vinegar sauce was a highlight.
Service was good.
