The menu has a good selection of Taiwanese/Chinese cuisine. The food is delicious and in big servings. The price is very reasonable for the food value. The small dining place and ambiance are below average. Service is fast and excellent.
Reservation is not required. They accept cash, debit and credit cards.

Food came pretty fast and tasted amazing! The side dishes were quite good too. I strongly recommend the tomato hotpot as it was really rich and flavourful.
It’s been awhile since I last visited but the food seems even better than before.

Good place to grab Taiwanese set meals. Taste-wise, they are a solid 4/5. Prices are a tad on the high side, but the portions are bigger than average.

My girlfriend and I went to the mother ship Dinesty off Gilbert road but there was a line up out the door at around 630 pm. After some back and forth we decided to try the relatively new opened Dinesty lite.
Big free parking lot, so no issues there. On entry, it's a modern spacious place. Bright and clean. It was also only a third full. We were wisked in immediately and seated.
The menu has a few cross over items from the big Dinesty but the dishes here are more for single serving versus family style. Menu is smaller and has different dishes and appetizers.
We didn't try it but it has bubble tea and a huge asian desert menu which looked really good.
We had the fried squid tentacles which were probably some of the best we have had. We had the Xiao long bao which were good, they come it baskets of 4. We had a kimchi fried rice which was excellent and good portion size, as well as seasonal vegetables, and soup dumplings with beef.
All together with tip about $80. Would go back to try other dishes and their desert.

This was my first time here. We came here around 1pm. It was pretty empty. We were seated right away. My sister and brother ordered the bbq pork with rice set. It was more like beef sukiyaki. My dad and I ordered the crispy deep fried squid which was tender on the inside. Paired well with the Chilli sauce that it came with. I also ordered the deep fried crispy tofu with garlic sauce. Quite food overall. Service could use some improvement. It was not often we got to see the server to ask for water. All good though. He was very friendly when we did get a hold of him. Food came in relatively good time. Pricing was fair for the amount of food. Good value for money. I'd like to come back and try other things. Thank you.

The best food in town.. it’s fresh and cleaned. It might not the fancy restaurant you will experience but who cares if you are in food but restaurant are cleaned.. very friendly staff and approachable too. Definitely coming back with my friends

This place has gone downhill in recent years. They upped their prices where it’s not great quality for money. Ordered the volcano roll, it’s 16 dollars and it’s a glorified California roll with spicy tuna on top. They also skimp out on the spicy tuna, used to give you healthy portion sizes. The other roll, crazy roll, is fine but it’s now almost 10 bucks when it used to be 7.50.

The fish was very fresh and the sushi rice was just the right consistency. It's my first time at Tokyo Joe's but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and friendly service. I will definitely return again to sample more dishes.

I normally order pickup to save the restaurant the delivery fees, but when I bought 2 large take out trays for pickup I was quite disappointed. It was a $110 order, I even gave a tip on a takeout. I was therefore quite surprised that when I picked up the order, the server was very unfriendly. The sushi was good quality, creative and generous servings. Not worth giving a tip for takeout. It's not appreciated at all. Just order delivery and stick them with a delivery fee and no tip. I probably will go to Ebisu instead.

I tried their all-you-can-eat option for the first time and it was a great experience. The ambiance of the room was pleasant, and they served fresh and delicious seafood sashimi that was truly satisfying. The variety of food and drinks they offer are definitely worth trying, whether you're dining with friends or family. Additionally, they have three VIP rooms, each equipped with a private washroom for added convenience and privacy.

Waiters and waitresses are okay but we had a pretty bad experience with the manager. We had the ayce hotpot which included 3 types of meat. One of the servers I guess gave us a wrong meat that wasn’t meant for us which is maybe pricier and we didn’t know. Half way through our meal, the manager came and just grabbed the half eaten plate of meat from us without saying a word. That plate of meat only had 3 slices to begin with, and there was 1 left when he took it away. I understand that if he realized it was the wrong order and not included in our ayce price, he could take it back. But he could have at least said something like “I’m sorry this was a mistake and we have to take it back” instead of grabbing it from us and said NOTHING to us. I found that purely rude honestly…. What are you gonna do? Take the meat and bring it back to serve it to other customers? Or just was stingy and didn’t want us to have it because it was not included in the ayce? Very bad customer service imo. The meat wasn’t even good too. Average priced hotpot beef I buy at home was better than that. Didn’t have nice flavour of beef and the meat texture口感 was way too soft. They also gave us 3 plates of meat at first and later on another one. So at first we just thought those were the 3 types for us. For the price, I think the all you can eat hotpot is a pretty good deal. Meats weren’t super good, but I liked the variety of noodles as a noodle and carbs lover. They also have a nice assortment of other items. If you’re a simple hotpot person and no need very yummy tasting meats, this could be for you. The beef had way too much fat lol.

We ordered the deluxe sashimi - the sashimi are mediocre - hamachi was fresh, amaebi was really small, takowasa was not authentic, tuna was not fresh. For the meat - lamb beef and pork are passable. Black cod slices was good. The buffet bar’s selection was limited, and choices were nothing special. Vegetable choices were disappointing. We ordered drinks - plum sour juice was extremely sweet. All in all, I don’t think I would recommend this buffet especially for this price.

My friend and I decided to drop by for their November lunch specials. Lobster tails are still $8.95 and an order of waygu beef is still $3.95. One can order as many as one desires. The food and sauce bar is delicious. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back again.

First time visit for the wagyu beef at the price of $3.95 for 150g. The shrimp balls taste the best among the meatball trios. They gave us shrimp balls instead as the pork meatballs supplies were not fresh enough to serve. Appreciate their commitment to maintain the high quality standard. Like their free flow appetizers, although there aren't many choices but they keep refilling the dishes. Chile scallops are fresh but the size is smaller than what we expect. The waiters and waitress are very attentive and sincere.

I have seen this food truck for a while and finally caught it when it's opened. Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.
The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.
Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.
A must try in richmond.

This spot is great for a nighttime snack, the skewers here cost less than the ones at the Richmond Night Market which is nice. 🍢👍🏻
Although they have an order online page on their website, it didn't work for me so I just called them to order.
When I arrived I was able to pick up quite quickly and they tasted great too. 😋

One of the best hot pot restaurants I’ve been to. Very high quality ingredients and delicious broth options. The hand pulled noodles are fresh and very tasty

The hot pot here is fantastic. The choices are great and the overall individual hot pot is done well in induction style cook tops. Food is outstanding. Reserve early to avoid the long waits.

It was our first time here to try the Dolar Shop HotPot to celebrate my husband’s birthday. First we got a beef pancake which is so good and a set menu. All the ingridients are fresh and the service from Peter was excellent!!

This place is awesome, I love the personal hot pot, you can cook whatever you want and choose different soup base for your own pot. Everything is fresh and delicious, and you get free ice cream with cone. Also I love it sauce bars which you can make your own sauce just the way you like it. Overall it’s excellent, but is a bit pricey. Wagyu beef just way too yummy but I can’t see myself paying that price, good thing was company lunch. Seafood is also good as well as their special noodles.
Jason Tribbiani - 6 months ago
This hotpot restaurant is a bit pricy if you go there during regular hours. However they offer 20% discount on most items (except live seafood) as well as reasonably priced set menus during “Happy Hours” ( after 9:00 PM or before 5:00 PM. ). We took advantage of the latter and were delighted with the dining experience. All the items in our set menus were of top quality and fresh, including the fruits at the self-serve bar. We especially like the many choices for soup base and the dipping sauce. The servers were all very attentive and deserve high marks. One thing worth mentioning is that this restaurant charges 2% extra if you pay by credit card. However, it will be waived if you are willing to do a short survey for them using your phone.
In conclusion, we are impressed by this place would visit again in the near future

Literally some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. If you are in the area you MUST go.
My wife and I went twice while on our vacation and absolutely loved it. Had to get some for the road on our way out lol. The owner was awesome and helped us pick some amazing dishes and made us feel super welcome. This place deserves every bit of success and we cannot wait to come back!

AMAZING FOOD!! There were two staffs and both of them were super nice, helpful, and kind. I ordered meat curry rice & naan combo for $11.99 (w/o taxes and tip), which was also great. TASTY! Not too spicy, not too greasy, and right temperature. I sincerely recommend you all to visit this restaurant at least twice. The amount seemed like a little too much for me cause I've got a small stomach, but I managed to finish it all. 😎✌️
** japanese green tea was not included, I got it from somewhere else

Kebab platter was pretty good for food court standards. Meat was tender and flavourful, but the rice lacked the aromatics you would typically find in other donair shops.
Curry was a major disappointment. All the sauces looked and tasted watered-down.
Pongo - 3 weeks ago
If you have the opportunity and the ability to wait for some fresh naan do NOT let it slip by. The fresh naan is so, so good. The portions are generous - I always think I'm going to be able to take half home, but then I inevitably eat all of it and have to roll myself out of the mall. The curries are comforting and homey and delicious. Strong recommend!

Still one of the best places to get a fast taco salad. Toppings are great and that deep and crisp shell really stands out. Miss the days when you could pour the salsa on top by yourself but I guess covid changes things. Crisp tater tots complete the meal.
Update: March 2024... glad to see their taco salad are still good.

Get extra salsa sauce! It's amazing with the potato gems
Been coming here for more than 10 years, but have only returned after 6 years of going without. Still tastes amazing. Super sad that the oakridge location closed

I've been going to Taco Luis since the early 2000's and they have been consistent in their food- reliably tasty, affordable and fast service. My go-to is the 10 inch burrito special and this is always my number one food court choice when I visit Lansdowne. The owner and his family work hard and are friendly!
Leanne Chew - a week ago
We were hoping to try out a 5 star Mexican restaurant in Vancouver for Cinco de Mayo Day but heavy traffic thwarted our plans. Ended up at the food court in Lansdowne Centre and got our Mexican fix at Taco Luis. I usually just order their tater tots for a snack; as I wanted a full meal this time, I decided to try the Tater Tots Deluxe combo meal. They put rice, beans, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, cheese, sour cream and salsa on top. I had the option of putting guacamole on top as well but I decided to pass on it as I was quite happy with the mound of food piled on top of my tater tots already.
I really don't care whether it's authentic Mexican food, I only care that it tastes good. I've always loved the tater tots at Taco Luis, and now that I've tried their Tater Tots Deluxe I think I've just found my new "go to" meal at that food court!
There are plenty of other options as well if you're in the mood for something other than tater tots. Burritos, Tacos, Soft Tacos, Taco Salads...etc. My husband ordered a 12 " beef burrito combo and my daughter ordered a 10 " chicken burrito combo. (Didn't get any photos of their meals. Was too impatient to start eating the Deluxe meal sitting in front of me!)
Service: Good
Parking: Plentiful and free
Location: Inside the food court at Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

Pretty good but I dislike some of the toppings for veggies and the taco itself becomes a huge mess if you order all the sauces.
The white salad dressing they add is a bit strange. Not something you usually have on tacos.
Overall it’s not bad just be careful of what toppings you order on your tacos.

Another one of those super delicious asian food places in a Richmond food court! They have some phenomenal katsu curry, especially the shrimp. This is a great stop if you ever want some great food at Lansdown :)

Chicken katsu is extremely well done. The curry's flavor isn't as complex as Marulilu's or Mr. Japanese Curry but Katte is a better bang for buck. An easy recommend

I didn't expect much but the pork Katsu was pretty decent. Big portion, juicy, and very flavourful! Curry was pretty basic but goes so well together! The rice itself was pretty good too! For $13, can't complain!

Pork Katsu is crispy on the outside, tender and moist in the inside. chicken katsu is also crispy but a bit dry in the inside. I had their seafood bowls before and they were delicious! Would recommend a try👍
