Pretty interesting! Super hungry at 4pm without a proper meal. Decided my first stop would be here. Not bad. They loaded up on caramelized onions and sauces with their #1 Kubota Dog. They also made cuts into the sausage for the flavor to better be seeped in, then topped it off with seaweed strips. Buns were toasted really nice too. Their chicken was interesting. Most tender chicken I've had, but the breading isn't like a panko-crust bread that goes *crunch* in your mouth. It was surprisingly soft. If it had been crispier, it'd be ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Most importantly, I love the Bruno Mars mix blaring throughout! I stayed extra to post this review, but also to listen to them beats🎶!

They have a great variety of flavors to choose from. There are almost infinitely many ways to have you hotdogs done. The ones we tried were all very tasty, nothing wrong or too unusual. The place can get crowded pretty quick, though. There isn't that much space nor seating.

The dogs were fantastic and the shaker fries. We had the Wagyu Terimayo and the Yakisoba. Both great tasting! 1 less star because it was cold outside and they had the door propped open, so it was cold inside while trying to eat and food got cold fast.

Wasn't really impressed by the food at japadog. It's difficult to eat as the toppings do fall off as you take a bite. Never get the hotdog and toppings in one bite. There is both indoor and outdoor seating but the store is small and the seating isn't comfortable.

Both vegan and regular meat hotdogs are offered, in addition to pretty decent garlic fries. Convenient location on Robson Street close to the theatres, stadium & shopping. My Little Bro and I had a superb lunch at Gotham Steakhouse with the dinner menu. We were greeted by friendly and helpful hostesses while Ann Marie our server provided excellent table service. We both had the 20 oz bone-in rib steak done to our liking and we savoured every bite. The steak was tender, juicy and salted to perfection for taste. Our sharable sides were the mushrooms, asparagus and mashed potatoes. We had a Caesar salad as an appetizer. The meal was topped off with key lime pie. All was delicious. Would easily recommend Gotham for your steak fine dining.

First Class all around. Has an old-worldy , classic restaurant feel, with the right amount of upgrades. It doesn't "try to hard." And we had two Vegetarians with us who loved it. The service beginning from the greeting at the door and throughout the meal was excellent. Attentive but not overbearing. Fun yet professional. Thank you Ann Marie. The food prep was spot on. The Beef Thai salad was beautiful and perfectly seasoned. The cheese toast lived up to its excellent reputation. Fish of the day on Risotto was another excellent choice. Mediterranean pasta was very well received. If you like a spicier version make sure you ask for it as it pumped the dish up nicely. Extensive wine list to top it off.

We went to Gotham steakhouse for the first time for my birthday dinner and it definitely won’t be our last! Beau was our server and made the whole experience incredible and fun. The food and wine recommendations were spot on and we loved everything! We dine out a lot to find good steaks and this was by far the best steak and service we have ever had! We had an absolutely amazing time! Thank you Beau and the team!!

The server was overwhelmed, I had my best birthday celebration over and the steak we ordered was super tasty. The fillet was unexpected tender , bone in rib was juicy and a bit fatty part adding more flavor def my favorite , new work was tasty as well. We definitely will come back for another celebration.

We enjoyed a family dinner at the Hawksworth. Organized team handling the reservation, questions, slight changes, checking in, coat checks. While two sommeliers were available to recommend wines, it was nice that there was a choice of alcohol free drinks for our party. Gratuity was determined by the guest which was a nice surprise.

Opting to dine at this establishment within our hotel was a delightful choice. The service was top-notch, with the dedicated staff ensuring an exceptional dining experience. We indulged in the seasonal tasting menu accompanied by a wine pairing, which proved to be a superb combination. While the wagyu dish left room for improvement with its lackluster sear and plain taste, the other dishes were delectable. Tasting menu Feb 19 + paring wine. The sommelier was really knowledgeable, server was attentive and caring. Their dishes are delicious, especially the Sable fish dish, dessert was just fine. All and all we had a good dinner & worth the price.

Yesterday I visited Hawkswort for lunch with my friends. They gave us really nice table. Price for the food was very affordable for this type of the restaurant, it was the set menu lunch for Dine out Vancouver for 36$. I enjoyed the lunch, it is very nice ambience, and good food quality. They have my favorite wine Moscato, so it was great experience for me. I will definitely visit again for dinner. At the evening the ambient looks beautiful.

Celebrated our anniversary here! Since this was a special occasion, I knew I had to get their Prime Bone-In Rib Steak! Best steak I've had so far!! Really enjoyed every bite. We also ordered their Slow-Roasted Half Free-Range Chicken and as well as their Caesar Salad. The ambiance was very nice and our server was really accommodating. I think I can say that the price is definitely worth it!

Best cheese bread I have tasted. Crispy and gooey. The stake is smokey, rich and tender. But the best part is definitely the service. The server had an unique charm. The price is not cheap but it's definitely an experience I wouldn't forget. Glad I was here with friends.

The BEST Steakhouse I've had EVER been to. I've love steak, and this place was just another level for food and SERVICE. My server, Andrew, was so knowledgeable about everything else on the menu we asked about, from wines to mocktails, he was AMAZING to have as our table server. I had the porterhouse steak with mashed potatoes, but group I was with had the Beef Wellington and it looked fantastic, although it would have killed me due to my allergy. Friend I brought had steak and lobster, which was masterfully made and displayed. The mashed potatoes were devine, very soft and beautifully mashed, quite tasty with gravy. I'd like to say I'm a connoisseur of mashed potatoes as I have them almost everywhere I go - these are in the top 10 of mashed potatoes of places I've had. Thank you very much Hy's, I will return for another meal as this was a highlight of my year eating here.

I personally enjoyed the lobster, but the rib steak tasted a bit like a meat cooking for stew so juicy and muscular tast, and the sirloin steak was overcooked. I did like the sides and the baked potatoes and also butter served with the lobster was tasty. Overall, the service and food were good, but not quite up to par with higher-rated restaurants. I've noticed some complaints about the quality of ingredients, which I tend to agree with, especially considering the price point, close to $60 for a steak. It should definitely be of the highest quality.

I visited for dine out festival course. It was a good experience. I had an iceberg wedge for an appetizer, had prim rip for entrees and had Billy Miner pie for dessert. The server was nice. The food was good. It was quite a big portion for a girl.

Came here for my dad’s 74th birthday, it’s an annual thing. This is our first time going to this location and we won’t be going back. Service is very poor here, our server always took so long, never gave us the full menu, refilled our water (had to ask several times), didn’t give us bread. I understand that it was during dine out season, but we go to the keg every year for his birthday and it always happens to land during dine out and the other locations never had a problem with that. The only highlight of the night was the classic Billy miner cake.

We celebrated birthday at The Keg Dunsmuir, amazing. Kazuki was excellent, very attentive and polite. Food is great. Ambience is perfect for a dinner date. We went around 4pm, so it was quiet and felt like the entire area was exclusive lol but 2 hrs later it became a bit busier. We had the Kansas City Striploin and Rib Steak, great value of money, so worth it. Overall, first time in this branch and it was excellent experience 😊 Plus, free Billy Miner Pie for the celebrant.

We ordered steak and frites, good price during happy hour. One thing not that satisfied is when we saw lots of empty tables and willing to sit in one of the couch area, but had told the tables were all reserved. But literally two sides of the tables were all empty till we finished our food and got paid, no bodies coming. Not sure what is this service about from blocking customers to sit where they want that will be empty for couple hours. Food is good, we loved the truffle fries and worth to pay extra more for substitute.

Our server Francesca was very sweet and accommodating to all our needs! Much love to her. I ordered my usual, the steak tataki with the pressed salmon sushi. Food is always great as usual. Tried their sangria for the first time, on the sweeter side but it came in a much larger drinking vessel than expected! Reserved with a group of 13 on a Friday night at 6:30. My friend made the reservation via email, as we usually hang out here every other month. We also recieved complementary champagne for the first time! Thank you so much.

I went with friends for watch sports, and inmediatly love it. Good service from the waiters. The prices are very well on Happy Hour, and they offer a lot of variety in dishes and drinks. Nice place for see an event on television.

Stopped in for happy hour while staying at the Met. We couldn't believe it wasn't more crowded! Excellent local beer and cider. We had the truffle fries and the humbolt squid (came like traditional calamari) coated with a sweet chili sauce and a side of the house hot sauce. Definitely recommend if you are nearby!

Excellently prepared filet. They do something special to fry their wings and fries - not sure how they make it so crispy and light. It’s amazing though. Wonderful staff kept our water topped up and service for drinks flowing. 10 out of 10, will come again.

A local restaurant that is located in the center of downtown Vancouver attached to the hotel Metropolitan it is nearby the shopping center Pacific Center and the Vancouver art gallery. There are quite a number of parking in front of the restaurant also it is very nearby public transportation the SkyTrain is just a block away from the Granville station My friends and I came here for Dino Vancouver, I haven't been to this restaurant for years. the food was fine. the presentation is very appealing as usual and the taste was nice; however, the dessert was slightly disappointing. there were two selections for the menu, one is a cookie in a jar that would seem to be an incomplete cookie Inside a container. the other one is a cheesecake that doesn't look like a cake. Seems like cream cheese with some other sauce and crunchy crumbs to be eaten altogether. I tried to finish it off but at some point it just gets stuck to my throat and I had to stop since I felt like I was eating cream cheese by the spoon

One spot that I have to go more often not just to eat food but have an experience. From previous reviews I can tell that they do care about their patrons extra ordinarily. We were not only greeted instantly but seated the very next minute and the enthusiasm in the usher n server excited us even more. We got the perfect little window facing corner to sit and a very gentlemen server. Excellent customers service in not only serving them but overall handling of everything going on. Food was beyond my expectations good. The beetroot salad , prawns, bread n avocado and also the ravioli was mind blowing. We finished to last crumb n leaf of salad. Lol Desert had a perfect sweet taste to it How could I ignore music being played as it filled the air with a different energy. Imagine sitting in a Vancouver downtown restaurant but listening to Arabian, carabian n beaches inspired music so what will happen? You have a good time. Right? My Fiancé and Icame for the Valentine's special set course menu. The Diva is a restaurant attached to the Metropolitan Hotel. Entering, the lobby was very Valentines in setup, with a photobooth, red themed candy, etc. We were quickly greeted and seated in the restaurant and presented with the menu. Since we don't drink alcohol, we started with some mocktails, and the first course, fresh oysters. It normally comes with a sparkling brut, but we chose not to have that. The oysters were so good, with a horseradish vinegarette, that I tried to order more, but alas.... No avail..... We chose both options for the 2nd course to try. The was kompachi crudo, with blood Oranges and picked root veggies, and a duck consommé with tortellini and shimeji mushrooms. Both were good, but the crudo was definitely the more favoured one. For Entrée, I ordered pistachio crusted rack of lamb, and my fiancé ordered the black cod in lonster bisque. Both were delicious, not sure what else to really say! Finally for dessert, we had this choclate and fruit pastry, with chocolate mousse. It had gold flakes, and was gorgeous! We loved it. Everything was plated spectacularly. For the price of $98, it was definitely worth the experience. If you're expecting a huge filling meal out of it, go somewhere else. Finally, big shout out to our server Monika for pulling a double, then back in the morning. She was professional, friendly and funny! We would definitely come back for dinner again!

Tried their dine out breakfast, salmon croissant, and two of their hot chocolates from their hot chocolate fest. All so delicious!! The place was lovely to sit in and had large beautiful windows for natural light. I am sure it’s not typical but my waitress was entirely impossible to find. It was very slow that morning and every order or need I had to flag her down.

Bellagio is a nice spot for a quick sit down with some friends. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. Lights get dimmed around dinner as well making it a warmer overall feeling. The service was fairly quick though when we went it was also not that busy. However the staff was friendly regardless and patient with our questions and requests. The food on the other hand was not what we expected. We ordered a Margherita pizza and as you can see from the photo it was essentially a cheese pizza with 4 pieces of burnt basil. We did ask for some fresh basil which they accommodated but only brought 3 extra leaves. Not exactly what we thought we would get. Overall I would still recommend the place for a quick bite or a coffee and a treat. I'd like to try more things before passing full judgement on their overall dinner menu.

I had such a pleasure finding this beautiful gem in the middle of downtown. Not only it’s located in the heart of Vancouver downtown but it’s one of those places that will give you an European cozy vibe. The customer service was quite warm and welcoming. We were greeted right away and sat by the window (highly recommend that spot). The menu was well design and provided with a lot of options to choose from. I have picked salmon croissant (10/10) and my friend went with Bellaggio breakfast. Overall, my entire experience was amazing, would definitely be back. Ohh, and just so you know not only they serve breakfast but also lunch and dinner. And if u decide to go ask for Lesya (a server) who we had pleasure getting to know, who were absolutely amazing and so welcoming. Without her the experience would have been different indeed. At the end it’s not only the place that makes your experience great but also people that elevates that experience by half.

Me and my wife went to the Bellaggio Cafe in Hornby Street on a Friday evening. They have happy hour from 3 to 6 PM every day. We tried their Hugo and Lavender Lemon cocktails. The taste was excellent. We also had their truffle fries. The quantity was good enough, and the taste was delicious. Even though most of the restaurant was empty, we were seated alongside the other patrons. Overall, it was a good experience .

Great little cafe in downtown Vancouver. I got one of the hot chocolate festival drinks called the Peter rabbit hot chocolate. Also got an order of the liege waffles. Both were good but a little too sweet for me personally. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

We had brunch at this place! The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a great brunch in the middle of downtown. The service was excellent. We started with truffle Parmesan and then I ordered the sourdough avocado toast with a poached egg/egg whites. Also tried the Turkey Club House with a side of Caesar Salad. We’re definitely going back to explore their dinner menu. Although the bill came to $90, which is a bit pricey for a brunch spot, we truly enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe.

Wonderful experience! All the food was delicious. We started with a little complementary smoked tuna appetizer that was yummy. We then had the duck liver parfait, which came with two pieces of toasted brioche bread; it was very flavorful. We continued with the wild mushroom and truffle risotto, which was delicious and surprisingly abundant. For main courses, we had the lamb shank and the dry aged duck; the lamb was very tender and the duck was perfectly cooked. We shared a delightful deconstructed cheesecake for dessert, and we finished the evening with some complimentary chocolate treats. The restaurant offers a comprehensive wine selection; we paired our dinner with a French Château Tour Bayard and an Italian San Felice Il Grigio, both very pleasant red wines. The service was very attentive and professional. They brought us complimentary bread and butter all throughout our dinner. They also let us try the wines before ordering. Our main courses arrived while one of us was in the washroom, so they brought two dome lids to keep them warm. They took our coat when we sat down, and they opened our Uber door when we left. The ambiance is classic and sophisticated. There was live music from a pianist, which was pretty pleasant. We spent $256.50 for two people (not including tip), and it was totally worth it.

Tried the #DineOutVanFest 3-course dinner for $65 and was treated to a delightful experience. The restaurant boasts luxurious Venetian decor, creating a truly elegant ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience. The must-try dishes include the rich and velvety Duck Liver Parfait and the creamy Potato Sage Ravioli Trio. The main courses, Pan Seared Steelhead Trout and Red Wine Braised Pork Bourguignon, were flavorful, although I would have preferred a crisper fish skin and more tender pork with a richer sauce. The desserts, Nougatine Dome and Sticky Coffee Toffee, were heavenly, albeit leaning towards the sweeter side. The wine pairing, available for an additional $45, is decent, with the Riesling being a particular highlight when enjoyed alongside the Duck Liver Parfait. However, the service did not fully live up to the 5-star hotel and Michelin recommendation. There were issues with the reception, as well as some mistakes with dish and wine pairing orders. Traditional dark wood decor and pianist provides a luxurious ambience. Duck breast was made so well - the skin was perfectly crisp, not too oily/fatty, meat was very tender and the sauce was so flavourful. Appreciated the complimentary warm bread (nothing special but it was soft) and mushroom amuse-bouche was tasty. Service was professional and friendlier to some other tables, but they were fine. Pricey as I only ordered one main and tea, and it totalled about $80, but really enjoyed the meal. Overall, I’d recommend this place.

My son and I went to Bacchus to try the DOV menu, it was amazing and we both loved it. Whitney and Izuki both were very attentive and friendly. My favorite dish is the duck liver parfait, highly recommended!! 👍🏼
