Blue Water Cafe was fantastic. We were impressed with the fresh seafood and perfect execution of the dishes. The sea bream sushi was so perfect, I’ll be thinking of it for a long time. The oysters and crab were just lovely. I had the sablefish and my husband had the halibut. Both dishes were absolutely perfect in their imaginative preparation and technique. The only tiny complaint was how overheated the porch seating was but it was worth it. Would absolutely visit again.

With only 2 nights in Vancouver we wanted at least 1 great meal and Blue Water Café delivered.
It’s in a great part of town, Yale Town, a district packed with restaurants and fancy stores.
The restaurant is huge, but service never faltered.
And the food was superb. Mostly seafood, as you’d expect, but they went way beyond the standards.
There’s a dedicated raw bar, some original and interesting takes on seafood, and they had no problems coping with dietary issues.
A great meal

A true gem of a restaurant. The food was flawless, inspired and balanced for every dish. Our waitress Jennifer was incredible, attentive and has a great understanding of the menu. I highly recommend the ceviche, scallops and salmon. Every bite made my eyes roll to the back of my head. This was more than fine dining; it was an experience worth having and promoting to others. I can't wait to come back some day.

We had such an amazing time at blue water cafe! We went there for our fifth anniversary and it was such a great experience. The server was very attentive but wasn’t smothering. He took the time to explain things on the menu as well as the drink menu. The food was amazing. I got the sablefish which was incredible and my husband got the swordfish special. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We both got drinks we both enjoyed and the dessert was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Exceptional service and evident managerial prowess contribute to the restaurant's excellence. The staff strikes a perfect balance between being proactive and respectful of personal space. Overall, it's a superb dining establishment that I'll surely revisit and enthusiastically recommend to everyone

I had an amazing time doing my birthday here.
The menu here yall is a delightful fusion of flavors which really made my time here really fun and interesting. The attentive and knowledgeable bartenders Celine and Zach guided me through the menu and drinks with expert recommendations.
One standout dish that I must mention is the signature Cactus Club burger. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, it showed off the chef's skill and expertise. Paired with a side of truffle fries, it was a match made in foodie heaven.
To top off the meal, I indulged in a decadent dessert that left me craving more. The cheesecake was the perfect sweet ending to an exquisite dining experience.
Overall, Cactus Club exceeded my expectations in every way. From the delectable dishes to the amazing service, it is a culinary gem that should not be missed. Whether you are a food connoisseur or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Cactus Club is the place to be.
Thanks for the GREAT Birthday and see you all soon!

It took 20 minutes for our Server to come and ask if we like to order something, she wasn't interested, we had to call the Hostess to order food.
When the food came, our Server came one's to check and didn't offer for refills on our drinks.
Another Server was more attentive than the Short Asian Server we had, the Tall Blonde Server was more helpful and at the end when we were finished we had to get the Manager for the Bill because the Short Asian Server never came back to see we were finished.
At the time the restaurant wasn't busy, was 80% occupied.
Felt like since didn't had any alcohol drinks 🍷 our Server didn't attend to us as we so her twice and last time was to take payment after Manager had it printed... WEAK.
We spend over $150.00 but it seems like we didn't worth to be attentive.
Very disappointed 😔

I love cactus restaurants. Great food and atmosphere. This branch is very nice and cozy. The service was good. However, the waitress was nice but she came too many times to check our table and it was a bit oppressive. The avocado dip is a great dish. It is highly recommended to eat here.

My friend and I were in town for the weekend, and we were so impressed with Cactus Club the first night that we came back for the second night! The drinks are great (get the bellini!) and the late night happy hour prices are incredible. Love that the kitchen was open so late too. The prawn crunch roll, mini chicken sandwiches, med bowl, and avocado kale salad were delicious. Will definitely be back next time we visit!

Came here for the happy hour on a Sunday afternoon. Were super happy about it. The Bellini was our go-to cocktail whenever we visit cactus club either in Toronto, Edmonton or Vancouver!
We also ordered the crunchy prawn rolls and it was super delicious!
Definitely would come back again!

There was only one guy working when we went and had 2 people ahead of us. We weren't starving so it was fine to be a little slow. When it was our turn to be served, the guy was super friendly and didn't look miserable like a lot of subway workers. He had a great smile the whole time and made nice light conversation. It was refreshing to come here.

My favourite subway. I usually order the same chicken rice bowl with double meet. Parvinder is so nice, she already knows what I want to order. She helps the others to always provide us the best quality and watch them to not miss anything.

Enticing selection of food with great presentation to boot. The staff are incredibly courteous and attentive, very pleasant people to deal with.
The location itself is nice and away from any busy traffic so it’s not to bother the senses while you eat. Enjoyed the courtesy of blankets out on the patio dining if it gets a bit cooler and cannot stress how tasty the food was. Everything was made to perfection and I highly recommend you give it a try.

This will be a long one but I hope it’s informative. An amazing experience. From start-to-finish. I can’t recall their names but our hostess immediately greeted us and brought us to the table, and asked if we were celebrating anything. It was my 5 year anniversary, but I don’t usually boast about it in an effort to get “comped” items like restaurants have accused me of in the past. Anyways, our waitress came (forget her name) but it was her first training shift and she absolutely killed it. I appreciated the communication of your staff as through the night, I had 3 staff come up and wish us a happy anniversary and the surprise bubbles. I then had a question about the cocktails as I was looking for a sweeter one, and our waitress consulted the bartender which was very professional and appreciated. The Queen of Hearts is amazing, and my partner got the wine flight which was presented well. The Prix-Fixe was a great choice and each dish was served on time with good spacing in between. They all tasted amazing. Our waitress also asked us about allergies which is amazing, as most places will not ask. The value here is amazing and you have a great staff team. Please give credit to our waitress for having a great first shift. It is such a shame we live in Ontario as I would bring everyone I know to your restaurant weekly and definitely have my wedding here. Well, hope I move to Vancouver by the time I get married.

From the moment we stepped into Brix and Mortar until the end, truly set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Each dish presented to us was a masterpiece, both in presentation and flavour. I requested to be seated at their lovely courtyard as our first time visiting to celebrate our special day. We loved not only the food but also can choose variety of drink options. Our server Laura was attentive, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We asked also about some information for the reception or small event. She was very anticipating our needs and her professionalism made us feel like valued customers throughout the entire evening. Thank you so much! Overall, our experience at Brix and Mortar exceeded all expectations. We left feeling thoroughly very satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly Recommended!! 👍

We celebrated Valentine’s Day here and had a wonderful experience. The staff are very welcoming. Zack was our server. He was attentive and friendly. We were seated at a great spot near the window on the second floor. It felt intimate and we can have a conversation without hearing what the other table was talking about. The Valentine’s menu was good as well and we will definitely be back :)

We recently took part of the first ever Elopement event to commemorate 25 years of service with 14 couples eloping. From start to finish, everything was perfect and so well organized. They took care of everything from decor and flowers to officiant and photographer. The atmosphere was so beautiful and what Pinterest dreams are made of. They made our special day so perfect and there was no stress on our end. We will definitely be back for a dinner and drinks!

My friends and I have gone here twice already post workout. We love it here because the food is so healthy yet tasty at the same time! I'm determined to keep coming back so that I can try different things on the menu!
I really like the brunch menu. The avocado toast was so good and it had a good amount of avocado spread. I also added a soft egg.
Another time I had the cilbir toast which was sooooooo good. I might like it even better than the avo toast. So many flavours! I also added some sausage links.
Each time our servers have been so nice and great. The yaletown location is small but super pretty inside. Small touches like the Persian carpets hanging from the ceiling and even the cute booth by the entrance really tie in the Nuba theme.

I'm staying in Vancouver and came Nuba in Yaletown tonight to eat Lebanese food first time. It is better to make a reservation in advance.
We arrived 30 minutes early, but the lady at the restaurant kindly showed us to our seats. Our seats were in a private booth just to the right of the entrance. Bcz my husband told them when he made the reservation that he had a date tonight.
We ordered Najib's Special:Crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon & sea salt. Served with tahini $15. Manh:Turkish style vegetarian dumplings with mushrooms & lentils filling, garlic labneh and tomato sauce $25. Add on Prawns(3pcs) $9.45 and 1 piece of Lamb kafta $8.45. Pinot Noir wine $15.
Dessert for Baklava Cheesecake $15 and Lebanese Pastries $10. Total CA $104. include tax but not tips. The price was higher than I expected.
Manh was my favorite and 3 pcs of Prawns and 1 pc of Lamb kafta was good taste but overpriced. Najib's Special was ok.
The Baklava Cheesecake for dessert was delicious. I would like to order a sampling Platter next time.

We went here on Saturday lunch and they do offer lunch menu. We had such a pleasant experience in here. Food was great and fish quality was excellent. Lunch menu is perfect for those who want to try many dishes. Atmosphere is modern and the service was friendly. We had seasonal dessert made with strawberries and it was super. However, the green tea opera dessert is better in Miku.

We went to Minami for lunch. The restaurant is huge, but the service was very personal and attentive. Food and drink came out pretty fast. We had sashimi special and the main lunch special. Both were so good with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend.

What an adorable space. Went with a group of 4 adults, a teen and a baby. There didn't seem too many vegetarian options that were actually sushi but we were able to get some cucumber and avocado Maki. The salad with the tofu was amazing though! Cocktails were delicious and the service was very good. They were very attentive and accommodating.

Food is pretty good here, but to get a full stomach would easily cost you more than $100. It is well worth it. The torched sushis are wonderful!

Very good quality food! The Oshi/Sushi/Cooked food were all very very good. This place does run on the pricier side so it is not a place we would go to regularly, but definitely would consider it a place for special occasions.
Service and atmosphere are also very good.

My partner and I checked out Rodney’s in Yaletown during his visit in Vancouver. If you pay attention closely to the decor, the theme reminds you of being on a ship! The food was great and the staff were so friendly!
We got the following on the menu during Low Tide (happy hour) that night:
🦪 - A dozen shucked oysters
🍔 - Mini Lobster & Shrimp Sliders
🍝 - Lobster Mac & Cheese
We loved that there were so many different house sauces available to use on the oysters. We had to try all of them! The oysters were so fresh and delicious! We really also enjoyed the Lobster & Shrimp Sliders and Lobster Mac & Cheese. They were soooo good! We could have probably ordered more of those sliders.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant.
Went in for happy hour twice; service was great - and the oysters were great. We went somewhere else to try their oysters but they were not nearly as good, so we ended up returning to this restaurant before leaving Vancouver.

This was a great place for seafood and good times. Caught it at low tide for the oysters and ALL the sauces. Unlike other oyster bars, these sailors know what their customers like with their shellfish. Cool menu "boards" Got the Oysters, Crab dip, and Calamari. Add in some great service and good atmosphere, and I know we will come back here again. Great job to the crew that day!!!

A cozy and fun place to come for a delicious bite at happy hour or a full meal. The oysters at Rodney are the stars with freshness and great quality. Simply THE BEST Oyster House in town. Awesome “happy hour” deal, the atmosphere is always amazing, AND great food qualities! My wife and I enjoyed every visit, I am pretty sure you will and can find your “oyster” here!
Oh, yeah, don’t forget their soup, mussel & clams, and drinks! And and their spicy sauce selection!
Spicy Caesar, my favorite~

We were able to get a table because of a last minute reservation. The service is good and they were helpful with the recommendations.
The calamari was crispy and light, not doughy like some other establishments. I do wish they had a dip on the side to complement the flavours. I got the pappardelle as recommended, which was cooked perfectly, but I ultimately switched plates with my partner because the lamb was absolutely delicious, and he liked the pasta more so win-win! It was more on the rare side, which I loved. The potatoes were a nice touch. The only dish that disappointed was the lava cake, but I think that was because it was gluten-free so we expected something more traditional. Nevertheless it was not bad, just not something we would get again.
When we were paying the bill, either the manager or the owner came by to say thank you for dining with them which was such a nice gesture! We would love to come back to try the other recommendations (uni pasta!).

Has old school charm. Good food. Excellent selection of wine. They knew it was our anniversary and surprised us with a little dessert. Service was very attentive. We had the lobster risotto, scallops, cannoli and aglio olio. Restaurant is a bit dimly lit so a little hard to read the menu. I asked for a recommendation for q glass of wine to go with my meal and the place was a bit dimly lit so I couldn’t really see the drink list and priced so I just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.

I went here for my birthday and the food was amazing. We had calamari to start, o had the rack of lamb and my partner had the duck. For dessert we couldn’t decide so we got the salted caramel crème brûlée and the chocolate soufflé. The server was so attentive in filling my wine, brought out a complimentary dessert and were visited by the chef to check in. Would definitely go back!

Our server definitely didn't want to be working the night we were there, or at least that was the vibe we got. The young man putting the good in the table didn't tell us what the items were. The food was very expensive and bland. Everything had "foam" on it. The halibut was very moist but tasteless. We were there for a business dinner, but we won't be back. Other places we enjoy more in the area.

First time dining in here and it was a pretty fair experience. Wanted to enjoy a cozy patio seating while it’s bright and sunny outside and it didn’t disappoint. Patio is pretty cozy with very comfortable heating. Food, they are pretty basic dishes, but really flavorful. Portions are filling for the price. Customer service is also pretty average. Overall, it wasn’t great but still a good experience. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly, pretty delicious overall and I love their bread, it was baked very well and came out warm. The best fried frog legs I’ve had thus far, I would definitely recommend that dish. However, their lamb was undercooked and the dessert was much too tart. I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and the service was good too, but it is honestly not that close to the water, so even the window seat view is not amazing. I would like to come back and try their seafood.

Made the right decision and took my wife out to dinner here during a one night stay in Vancouver. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. The flavors of the food were unique, energetic, and absolutely outstanding. What a pleasure it was to experience this eatery. The wine selection was fantastic, and I have no regrets about the bill at the end. If you're a calorie counter watch, out for the baguettes ended up going through two of them, well kinda because we got drawn into the wines they had. Our server was also outstanding.

We always have our fancy family gathering with my uncle here at province, actually brunch. This place has been here since I know beach crescent and downtown Vancouver. This place is chick and spacial, the food is fresh and abit pricey. This place has a view of false creek and it’s balcony is a place for fancy beautiful reach people when sun shine above beautiful Van city. Very nice place for date and fancy gatherings day or night.
