5 Star Rating We went to The Office trivia night and it was alot of fun. Great atmosphere and a good selection of food. We got the nachos and mini donuts to share, both were really good. The trivia was a great activity to do with a group of friends, they host all sorts of genres during the week so you'll definitely find something you'll enjoy. The trivia night is held on the second floor, so there isn't interference from guest in the main restaurant.

4 Star Rating The food was really good. Service was mixed though - there seemed to be a lot of servers but if not designated to your table, it was difficult to get someone's attention. Once the food and drinks were ready though, very attentive and we had a nice mix of dishes. Good cocktails too. Overall would recommend - we perhaps just caught them at an awkward time.

3 Star Rating Went to the Pilot to catch up with a few friends and ate on the rooftop patio, which had a really solid vibe. Unfortunately some construction is being done on the building next door so not much of a view but the patio has a nice breeze and open sky, and some TVs around as well so you can watch sports. Food was okay. Decided to try the special jambalaya for $22 which had chicken and shrimp. It was a bit bland but the portion was pretty decent. Service was okay. Not bad by any stretch and the staff here are pretty friendly, but would just suggest as a teaching point that when tables are running low on water that you proactively refill it. Especially when minimum suggested tip is 18% 😬. Decent spot though if you're looking for a rooftop patio where you can get some sun or watch some sports!

5 Star Rating Easily the best rooftop patio tavern in Yorkville comprising the main floor, stealth lounge, and flight deck!!! They got live music, amazing food, and all types of shows. Personally, I love the cajun chicken sandwich and yet to try the rest. A perfect venue for friends gatherings, birthday parties, and live hockey games!

5 Star Rating If you’re in Yorkville and want a slightly old-school Japanese teppanyaki experience, I highly recommend this place. The food isn’t especially remarkable, but given today’s prices, it’s very fair for the service, and watching the teppanyaki show is fun. The staff are friendly, and the chef at the teppanyaki grill is both kind and entertaining. It’s a great experience—especially if you have kids, they’ll absolutely love it.

4 Star Rating Good place for Japanese cuisine Have. Wide choice available the only thing being it is difficult for vegetarians as there is only one veg dish available in the large menu for vegetarians The salmon sushi as well as the main dish was good. Chicken lunch was nice as well. The veg selection Yaki Udon though specifically made keeping in mind the veg requirements was not very tasty could have been better

3 Star Rating The teppanyaki sirloin steak was good—tender, and juicy. The live cooking show was entertaining, with the chef’s skills adding a fun element to the meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Areas for Improvement: - The lobster was overcooked and overly salty, making it less enjoyable than expected. - The vegetables also leaned too salty. If you prefer lighter seasoning, consider requesting less salt when ordering. - The Dragon Roll was a bit overly sweet, and the eel portion was surprisingly small, which was a letdown. Two people $170 including tax. I would want higher quality food. Need a few tweaks in seasoning and cooking precision.

5 Star Rating This teppanyaki restaurant has a elegant Japanese interior style, and the staffs were all warm and friendly. Our chef was super entertaining- he did knife tricks, wrote “I ❤️ U” with egg white, and even teased us by pretending to serve the rice but pulling it away at the last second like a Turkish ice cream vendor!! He also made an onion ring volcano 🌋. It was definitely a memorable experience. That said, the food itself was just average. The fried rice was a bit too oily (the chef put too much butter), the tempura batter was too thick, and while our steak was fresh, the portions were really small. Considering the high price, we felt it wasn’t good value. Overall tho it was a fun and enjoyable experience, perfect for a family or friends gathering.

5 Star Rating Went here last month during Christmas week with a friend she recommended it! The atmosphere was really nice. It looks small from the outside, but the inside is actually much bigger than expected. Super chill vibes. The servers were friendly, the food was pretty good, and the drinks were great too. It was a bit late for a coffee taste test at night, but totally worth trying! The pizza was so cheesy, crispy, and deliciousssss perfect for cheese lovers like us :> Definitely coming back to try other foods!

5 Star Rating 7 West Cafe, Toronto 7:00 a.m. I was on my way to the ROM and had already looked this place up ahead of time. The reviews were strong enough that I built my morning around it. When I arrived, the cafe was open, calm, and already moving at an easy pace. A few tables were filled, coffee was flowing, and the room had that quiet early morning energy where no one is in a rush yet. The staff was kind from the start. Not overly chatty, just present and welcoming. I ordered breakfast and it was genuinely excellent. I love breakfast food and have eaten a lot of it, but this was one of those meals that makes you pause and actually appreciate what is in front of you. Everything tasted thoughtful and well done. At one point I asked to use the bathroom, which ended up being unintentionally funny. The bathroom was very small. Small enough that when I shifted even slightly, the hand dryer turned on and blasted air directly at my head while I was doing my business. It caught me off guard and I could not help but laugh. It was one of those moments that only happens when you are traveling alone. Afterward, I walked around the second floor just to take in the space. One of the staff members noticed and asked if I needed help. I asked if it was okay to walk around since the restaurant had multiple levels. He said absolutely and let me explore. The place is beautiful. Dark wood, warm lighting, staircases and rooms that feel quietly tucked away. It felt like a space meant to be lingered in, not rushed through. 7 West serves excellent food, but what stood out just as much was the staff and the atmosphere. Comfortable, welcoming, and unintentionally memorable. And yes, I will probably always remember that bathroom.

5 Star Rating Very cute place. Went for breakfast on New Year' Eve. Got the breakfast special which was loaded with food and only $14! Definitely get the sausage, they are thick pork links. Coffee was robust and tasty. And the pancake with fresh fruit was also a nice treat. Their desserts looked amazing, may have to go back just for those! My server was warm and friendly, and attentive. The wood inside the restaurant is beautiful. You can tell they pay attention to detail in everything, including an eclectic set of water pitchers for tables. Highly recommended, will return next time in Toronto for sure.

5 Star Rating We found ourselves downtown after some shopping at Eaton Centre and decided to try out this 24/7 7 West Cafe. Upon entering they offered ground floor or second floor seating; we opted for the second floor and found ourselves in a cute dimly lit area with a bar. We arrived during happy hour so we ordered some of their signature cocktails for half off. For dinner, we got the tomato prosciutto, Caesar salad, bolognese and ravioli. We weren’t expecting the portions to come out so big! We had to share our appetizers and take it slow on the entrees because we were so full already! Nonetheless, the bites of pasta that we had with flavourful and delicious. Honestly, one of the few good bologneses I’ve ever had in restaurants. It’s cute how they’re able to open all day and night, offering breakfast, brunch, cocktails, lunch, and dinner around the clock. If I ever find myself downtown again, will definitely drop by if I’m hungry for good pasta.

4 Star Rating Went to this restaurant for Winterlicious. Pricing was pretty good but for the rib-eye, it was a little small for 2 people. The value for the visit was very good. It would be close to double if we ordered the exact amount of food that night. We had a reservation so it wasn't a long wait. When we went in, the atmosphere was pretty good. No loud noise and we could hear each other talk without a problem. If you go, I highly recommend the steak. The fish was ok, but the steak was the best. Nothing really to write home about except the steak.

4 Star Rating We came for winterlicious and the service was impeccable. However, the food didn’t blow us away. We started off with the gnocchi and tuna ceviche, they tasted good and the flavor was just right. The 16oz ribeye was the main course and we finished with the cheese cake and pudding. The pudding was the highlight for us. That was delicious! It was a great place to try out but with so many options in the city, I’m not sure if we’ll come back.

5 Star Rating From a wedding photographer’s perspective, Sassafraz is one of those venues that feels effortlessly elegant. It has a warm, inviting atmosphere that doesn’t rely on heavy decor - the space already has character. Soft lighting, rich tones, and clean lines make it easy to create timeless, intimate images. And the food is always a highlight. Guests genuinely enjoy the experience, which naturally translates into relaxed, joyful moments on camera. The Yorkville location is another big plus. You’re steps away from beautiful streets, classic architecture, and upscale city backdrops - perfect for quick portraits without leaving the area. It’s a great choice for couples who want a refined, cozy celebration right in the heart of Toronto.

4 Star Rating Loved our dinner today! We removed one star because Winterlicious was supposed to include ribeye, but when we ordered, we were told they had run out and were only offering striploin steak. We were really excited for the ribeye, so that was a bit disappointing. That said, the striploin steak was still good, some parts tasted slightly burnt from the grill, but overall it was still delicious. We were also given complimentary sparkling water (a San Pellegrino bottle), which was a nice touch. The desserts were great, the pudding and cheesecake both tasted lovely. For appetizers, we really enjoyed the tuna shrimp ceviche and the cauliflower soup. Overall, a nice dining experience despite the ribeye issue.

5 Star Rating A fantastic Winterlicious lunch! The menu selections were spot on—the gnocchi and salmon were delicious, complemented perfectly by their cocktails. The ambiance is stunning; sitting by the waterfall under the glass roof felt like being in a sun-drenched oasis, even with the winter chill visible outside. A huge thank you to our waitress, whose 24 years of expertise made us feel so welcome. We could have stayed forever. Highly recommended!

5 Star Rating I found a bone in a piece of salmon sashimi, but in their defense, I did order a lot. Aside from that hiccup, everything else was fantastic. The food, the atmosphere, the deals. They are tucked in a somewhat expensive area so the price was a pleasant surprise. I would have given this place a 4 star review, but looking at their overall rating, I think the average should be higher, 4.5 at least.

5 Star Rating I have been coming to this Tim Hortons all throughout my undergrad at U of T since I lived nearby, and now that I commute I still pass through Holt Renfrew Centre almost every day. This has always been one of my go-to spots because the staff are friendly and hardworking. That being said, the location is small and often feels understaffed, which slows things down during the morning rush. It also constantly smells burnt inside, which makes waiting less pleasant. Today I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte at 10:09 a.m. and it took over 15 minutes. When I politely asked about it, another customer rudely cut me off. To make things worse, my drink was not called out and was just placed on the counter without informing me. I almost left thinking it was not coming, and I ended up wasting time waiting for no reason. By the time I realized, I was already late for class while people who ordered after me had already been served. The latte itself tasted great once I finally got it, and that is why I am still giving 4 stars. This location has been my favourite for years, but I hope they address the burnt smell and improve communication during busy times so customers do not feel overlooked.

3 Star Rating We had NZ lamb chops. The meat was succulent and well seasoned. It goes well with the mashed potato and the veggies. The calamari was so-so. I was just surprised that they used tzatziki as sauce. I liked how hot they serve the food. The first floor is the bar. They also have an ATM in the mezzanine /second floor and the dining area is on the third floor/rooftop. We had a pretty good view and there was tv in there to watch any sports games.

4 Star Rating We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Though it’s a spacious bar with 3 floors, they ended up giving people smaller tables and asking them to squeeze, even though some people were seated on the patio, where it was -18 and cold. I guess the problem was a lack of servers; they were so rushed and confused. It made the vibe a bit tense and felt disorganized. For food, we had Jambalaya and a Fiesta bowl. The Jambalaya was delicious, a bit undersalted, but overall delicious. The Fiesta Bowl was very tasty.

3 Star Rating It's a bar with rooftop and outdoor patios. You could sit at the bar, watch sports, and have local and imported beer, including Australian, as well as wine, cocktails, liquors, although the selection is rather narrow. The noise level is tolerable at least during Sunday lunch. The service is pretty quick and friendly. Out of Bounds Chicken Salad It's a very nice and well balanced salad with fresh leafy greens, soft mildly salty feta, crunchy pecans, and sweet dry cranberries, and pleasantly sour-sweet raspberry vinaigrette - so you have a good mixture of different flavors and textures. Jerky chicken breast (or you can have a grilled chicken breast) was tender, but the portion was quite small. This was the only downside of this otherwise nice dish. Pavlova It was terrible - extremely sweet, boring and aesthetically unappealing - a large piece of meringue sprinkled with not-so-whipped cream and even small fresh and sour notes from a few slices of strawberry and kiwi were unable to save that gastronomic disaster. Overall it's rather not recommended than overwise. Although, the salad was not bad, but the protein part was too small, and the Pavlova was a pure shame.

2 Star Rating I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of their food after ordering delivery, especially as someone who has visited in person and enjoyed their dishes when properly made. I ordered the Capellini and tiramisu - the capellini came without any goat cheese (which is the selling point of the dish) and the tiramisu was smaller than the size of my hand. The tiramisu when ordered at the restaurant is enough for two people, but the delivery one would barely feed one person. I’d expected significantly better quality regardless if I order in person or delivery, especially at the price point they’re charging.

4 Star Rating I’ve been coming here for years and the food has always been great. The kale salad and burrata are beautifully done and the mains are solid as well. It’s a good downtown spot and worth visiting. The only thing is that the prices have gone up quite a bit, around $30 for an appetizer feels a bit overpriced. I also wasn’t a fan of the automatic 18% gratuity, even at lunch, especially since the service was fairly standard (water was brought initially but not refilled etc.). Still a good restaurant.

She was attentive, very personable and recommended a vegan option for myself which I highly enjoyed. We would definitely return because the food was delicious and hope for Justine to be our server. Thank you!

4 Star Rating Kunal was our server for the evening and from the moment we sat down in our Christmas booth it was fantastic. Gathered with friends to celebrate the Season with some festive cocktails and seasonal foods! Sadly I had left my leftovers after packing it up as I had too many packages from all the gift exchanges that happened at the table after our meal. Kunal was able to separate our bills with ease and even gave us some coupons to return in the New Year! Atmosphere in the restaurant was very festive and put you right in the mood along with the music.

5 Star Rating We were welcome by the manager and later greeted by our server Haley. Came in for a quick bite and also use one of the coupon we got during Christmas for free app. Food tasted great and our server was very attentive.

4 Star Rating I went to Jack Astor’s on New Year’s Eve with my friend, and overall it was a really good experience. The place was lively and fun. The food was excellent very tasty and well prepared. The only downside was the drinks; they didn’t feel very fresh and the taste wasn’t as good as we expected. Other than that, everything was great, and we’d be happy to come back again.

5 Star Rating This is the best Jack Astors. I love the pan bread and holiday special menus! So fun, so delicious!! Kunal was great server and we had help from Celia and Karla and Caity bringing us our food promptly and sharing the great vibes! Definitely recommending this Jack’s to my friends. Great service!
