The finger food was really good, fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing while hanging out. Everything came out nicely prepared, and it paired really well with the overall atmosphere of the place. Definitely the type of menu that works well for groups or casual nights out.
We watched Eurovision Song Contest there, which made the experience even more fun. The energy in the place during the show was great, and it honestly felt like a fun community atmosphere with everyone enjoying the performances together. The environment added a lot to the experience, and you could tell people were genuinely having a good

I absolutely loved this venue. They have a karaoke/live music space on the second floor and I gotta say: it rocks! Food and drinks are a bit on the $$ end, but the atmosphere makes up for it!

The food was really good. Service was mixed though - there seemed to be a lot of servers but if not designated to your table, it was difficult to get someone's attention. Once the food and drinks were ready though, very attentive and we had a nice mix of dishes. Good cocktails too. Overall would recommend - we perhaps just caught them at an awkward time.

We went to The Office trivia night and it was alot of fun. Great atmosphere and a good selection of food. We got the nachos and mini donuts to share, both were really good. The trivia was a great activity to do with a group of friends, they host all sorts of genres during the week so you'll definitely find something you'll enjoy. The trivia night is held on the second floor, so there isn't interference from guest in the main restaurant.

Top tier service, especially for large groups. They accommodated our group of 12 with zero issues. Excellent place to watch World Cup.

Good place for Japanese cuisine
Have. Wide choice available the only thing being it is difficult for vegetarians as there is only one veg dish available in the large menu for vegetarians
The salmon sushi as well as the main dish was good. Chicken lunch was nice as well.
The veg selection Yaki Udon though specifically made keeping in mind the veg requirements was not very tasty could have been better

The service was decent, but the lobster and steak were both overcooked. Unfortunately, most of the dishes were overly salty, which took away from the overall experience.
JJ Kim - a month ago
The teppanyaki sirloin steak was good—tender, and juicy. The live cooking show was entertaining, with the chef’s skills adding a fun element to the meal. Service was friendly and attentive.
Areas for Improvement:
- The lobster was overcooked and overly salty, making it less enjoyable than expected.
- The vegetables also leaned too salty. If you prefer lighter seasoning, consider requesting less salt when ordering.
- The Dragon Roll was a bit overly sweet, and the eel portion was surprisingly small, which was a letdown. Two people $170 including tax. I would want higher quality food. Need a few tweaks in seasoning and cooking precision.

If you’re in Yorkville and want a slightly old-school Japanese teppanyaki experience, I highly recommend this place. The food isn’t especially remarkable, but given today’s prices, it’s very fair for the service, and watching the teppanyaki show is fun.
The staff are friendly, and the chef at the teppanyaki grill is both kind and entertaining. It’s a great experience—especially if you have kids, they’ll absolutely love it.

I recommend experiencing it at least once, especially the live barbecue station where the chef prepares the food in front of you—it’s both entertaining and enjoyable!

Went here last month during Christmas week with a friend she recommended it! The atmosphere was really nice. It looks small from the outside, but the inside is actually much bigger than expected. Super chill vibes.
The servers were friendly, the food was pretty good, and the drinks were great too. It was a bit late for a coffee taste test at night, but totally worth trying! The pizza was so cheesy, crispy, and deliciousssss perfect for cheese lovers like us :> the cakes were really yummy too!! Definitely coming back to try other foods!

The overnight staff and kitchen staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Overnight staff really do not get enough credit, and as someone who works in the restaurant industry, I truly appreciate when service is done right. They went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. The vodka pasta was so amazing, the drinks were just as good, and I also want to thank the manager for being so hospitable and attentive. This place is definitely a 10/10, and I highly recommend it. THANK YOU! I will be coming back :)

Such a charming atmosphere, the entire vibe suspended me. Good music, lighting, and lived-in setup. The food was just ok but not bad. The prosciutto sandwich wasn't vibrant and lacked coherence. Just average. I'd still come back with company though, this is an excellent spot to sit, lay back and chat over a meal. The menu offers a good selection of breakfast foods, sandwiches, pizzas, some other things and drinks, so there's a whole lot to choose from. The service was very friendly but so so so slow. Horrifically slow. Finally I found the the overall cost to be expensive for what we ordered. Again, this wouldn't detract me from coming back, it's a sweet place. But it's worth noting.

Got the breakfast special and it was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and fries were nice and crispy. My friend and I came here because it was one of the few places opened for an early breakfast before work. Overall the place had a cozy vibe, good food and great staff. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend.

We found ourselves downtown after some shopping at Eaton Centre and decided to try out this 24/7 7 West Cafe.
Upon entering they offered ground floor or second floor seating; we opted for the second floor and found ourselves in a cute dimly lit area with a bar.
We arrived during happy hour so we ordered some of their signature cocktails for half off. For dinner, we got the tomato prosciutto, Caesar salad, bolognese and ravioli.
We weren’t expecting the portions to come out so big! We had to share our appetizers and take it slow on the entrees because we were so full already!
Nonetheless, the bites of pasta that we had with flavourful and delicious. Honestly, one of the few good bologneses I’ve ever had in restaurants.
It’s cute how they’re able to open all day and night, offering breakfast, brunch, cocktails, lunch, and dinner around the clock. If I ever find myself downtown again, will definitely drop by if I’m hungry for good pasta.

Super friendly staff and accommodating! Halal beef and lamb was a win. Highly recommend the steak and eggs. The potatoes and lamb was good too. The pancakes were def to share, not sweet and has hints of nutmeg. The entrance was not accessible sadly. We had to carry the stroller up and down the stairs. Totally worth it.

Sassafraz is a lovely spot with genuinely good customer service and delicious food. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and made the experience feel smooth and well looked after.
One detail I was especially pleasantly surprised by was the tea: it is served as loose-leaf tea rather than a tea bag. That may sound small, but it is actually quite rare—even at many of Toronto’s more expensive restaurants—and I really feel they deserve credit for that thoughtful touch.
The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that I did not feel a particularly memorable atmosphere or special “vibe” during my visit. It is a nice place, but not necessarily somewhere I felt excited to return to.

I recently came back to this Yorkville landmark after decades, and it felt both nostalgic and refreshing at the same time. It’s one of those places that has stood the test of time, and I can see why - it’s approachable, consistent, and still delivers a solid dining experience in one of Toronto’s most upscale neighbourhoods.
I visited for a casual lunch with a close friend, and we decided to keep things light. I ordered the fish taco, and I have to say - it really exceeded my expectations. What sets it apart is that they use salmon instead of the typical basa (which many restaurants use), and it’s not deep fried. That alone made a huge difference for me. The taco was fresh, flavourful, and well-balanced - light but still satisfying, and you could actually taste the quality of the fish.
At $22, it’s also quite reasonable for Yorkville, especially considering the quality and location. It’s not trying to be overly trendy or reinvent the wheel - it just focuses on doing simple things well.
Overall, it was a lovely lunch experience. Great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and the perfect setting to catch up with a friend. I’d definitely come back again, especially when I’m in the mood for something lighter but still satisfying. Shout out to Yen who was so wonderful and made our lunch date even extra special.

My friend and I visited Sassafraz for coffee, and we absolutely loved it!
The atmosphere was nice, warm and cozy, making it a great spot to enjoy good food and coffee. We’ll definitely be coming back!
The lavender tea and cappuccino were both excellent, great flavour. We also ordered the tomato bruschetta, and the New York cheesecake was absolutely delicious, taking the experience to the next level.
On top of that, the service was outstanding and made the whole experience even better.

Loved our dinner today! We removed one star because Winterlicious was supposed to include ribeye, but when we ordered, we were told they had run out and were only offering striploin steak. We were really excited for the ribeye, so that was a bit disappointing.
That said, the striploin steak was still good, some parts tasted slightly burnt from the grill, but overall it was still delicious. We were also given complimentary sparkling water (a San Pellegrino bottle), which was a nice touch.
The desserts were great, the pudding and cheesecake both tasted lovely. For appetizers, we really enjoyed the tuna shrimp ceviche and the cauliflower soup. Overall, a nice dining experience despite the ribeye issue.

If you’re looking for genuine Japanese cuisine in Toronto, you definitely need to check this place out. 🇯🇵🇯🇵The food tastes incredibly authentic, and the entire restaurant is spotlessly clean—it really gives off those immaculate Japan vibes.
On top of that, the staff here are so polite and welcoming. It truly elevates the whole dining experience.
My only tiny critique? I wish they’d play Japanese music in the background instead of English pop songs to fully lock in the immersion! 😂🎵 But honestly, the food and service are top-notch. Highly recommended!

I stopped by Tim Hortons this morning and had a really pleasant experience. My coffee was perfectly made and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and tasty. I have been coming to this Tim Hortons all throughout my undergrad at U of T since I lived nearby, and now that I commute I still pass through Holt Renfrew Centre almost every day. This has always been one of my go-to spots because the staff are friendly and hardworking.
That being said, the location is small and often feels understaffed, which slows things down during the morning rush. It also constantly smells burnt inside, which makes waiting less pleasant. Today I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte at 10:09 a.m. and it took over 15 minutes. When I politely asked about it, another customer rudely cut me off. To make things worse, my drink was not called out and was just placed on the counter without informing me. I almost left thinking it was not coming, and I ended up wasting time waiting for no reason. By the time I realized, I was already late for class while people who ordered after me had already been served.
The latte itself tasted great once I finally got it, and that is why I am still giving 4 stars. This location has been my favourite for years, but I hope they address the burnt smell and improve communication during busy times so customers do not feel overlooked.

The food and ambience here was delightful, we chose the food options. We asked the server for the best recommendation for the drinks, and we weren't disappointed at all. They have a wide variety of deserts, and we went for what they recommend and were really satisfied. Five stars for the service and value of the food.

I went here with my girlfriend for some dessert. The location of the cafe was very nice too in a cute neighborhood in Toronto. The interior was very nice as well and the server was nice. We ordered one slice of their caramel cheesecake. The cake tasted great and was super good. You can tell without before even eating the cake the it was made in house and was not store bought or ordered from a third party. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to grab a bite of cake in a cozy place.

I just had the classic strawberry swirl and dulce de leche cheesecake! So tasty, so creamy, so good. Staff is friendly. The place is not too big, so it gets crowded easily, but you can sit at the bar. They also do salads, milkshakes, sandwiches. If you like cheesecakes, definitely go to this place. Also, the place is located in Yorkville which is a very nice neighbourhood.

We got seated immediately and waiter was very friendly! The bar was busy at 9:30pm but the food came in less than 10 minutes.
We ordered curried lamb with the mango chutney. The food was phenomenal; the curried lamb had a little kick to it from the spice, but it was done at a perfect amount. The lamb itself was very tender and the veggies mixed with the chutney delivered a unique experience.
The order came to just over $30 per person. Overall 10/10 experience! I would recommend anyone coming here to try to the curried lamb.

As a fellow Kiwi man married to a Canadian with Canadian kids. We love this restaurant. A touch of kiwi class. Food that transports me back to my roots. But most of all the family loves the Pavlova desert. Love me a good ole hearty lamb shanks 🤤😁

We had NZ lamb chops. The meat was succulent and well seasoned. It goes well with the mashed potato and the veggies. The calamari was so-so. I was just surprised that they used tzatziki as sauce. I liked how hot they serve the food. The first floor is the bar. They also have an ATM in the mezzanine /second floor and the dining area is on the third floor/rooftop. We had a pretty good view and there was tv in there to watch any sports games.

This is hands down the most delicious Italian restaurant I’ve had in Toronto so far. I used to work in Malta, Europe, years ago and had plenty of chances to visit Italy, so I’ve always had a soft spot for Italian cuisine. That also means I’m pretty picky when it comes to the flavors, but this place truly nails the most classic Italian dishes. If you’re a fan of Italian food, this spot is an absolute must-try.
On top of the great food, our server Vanessa was incredibly attentive and made the whole dining experience feel so warm and welcoming.
If you’re visiting Toronto, don’t miss out on this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!

Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Pizza was great. Kale salad was great. Cacio e pepe, bruschetta, and cannoli were average.
Staff were kind and friendly. Food came out quickly.
Came for the winterlicious lunch menu at $34 which came with an appetizer, main, and dessert. For $34 that is a great deal.

Our family of 4 sat upstairs in a nicely decorated, cozy room. We had the burrata, bread basket and kale salad to start. All excellent! The mushroom Mafalda was super creamy and luxurious. Generous portion size. My Arctic Char was perfect cooked. Tiramisu was delicious. Excellent service.

Great food and service. I went with my partner for a late lunch and the food did not disappoint. We got the burrata as appetizer and it was so good and fresh. The lasagna was tastier than I imagined and the presentation was so pretty. My partner got the pasta mafalde, which was the right amount of creamy and tasty. The atmosphere was a little loud to talk with the music and background noise, but it was still an enjoyable lunch.

We came from Montreal to Toronto specifically to try this restaurant, and it absolutely delivered. The food was authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service from the staff, especially Chris the manager, who made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such attentive hospitality. Definitely worth the trip, and we’ll be coming back next time we’re in Toronto.
