The EdgeWalk at the CN Tower holds the Guinness World Record for the highest walk on the exterior of any building.
By its very nature , the EdgeWalk experience is thrilling and participants must be at least 13 years of age and in good physical condition. To participate in this exhilerating adventure you will put on a special jumpsuit and wear a harness attached to a track that allows you to not only walk around the ledge on the exterior of the tower, but to also lean out over the edge.
The complete experience lasts for 1.5 hours which includes between 20 and 30 minutes walking and hanging out on the outside ledge. Visitors are accompanied by expert guides and each receives a video, a printed photo of themself on the walk and a commemorative certificate. While not inexpensive, the EdgeWalk at the CN Tower will give you the memory of a lifetime and also includes a Tower Experience Ticket which gives you admission to the Himalamazon Motion Theatre Ride, the Legends of Flight 3D movie, the SkyPod, the Glass Floor and the Lookout. When you put it all together it's an amazing package.
The EdgeWalk is a seasonal attraction and is only available by advance booking. It is very popular so you should book well ahead of your vacation.

I attempted the EdgeWalk at CN Tower in December 2017. As it is winter, I recommend wearing your winter coats and boots. They will provide a beanie and gloves and if your shoes/boots are not appropriate, they will also provide one. It was an incredible experience and SO much fun! If you are afraid of height, you should not attempt this. But if you love being high up and adventurous (like me :p), I highly recommend this! I was very nervous when getting ready for the Walk but once up there, I am feeling great! I think the incredible view distracted my nervousness. It is extremely safe – the guides checked all harnesses many many times. I am so thankful that it was such a clear and sunny day. It was still cold but there was no wind, making the whole walk so much easier. The view was stunning at the top! Our EdgeWalk guide, Jen, is extremely helpful, patience, fun and entertaining. She made sure we all had a great time up there, participating in all the activities and just enjoy the whole experience. The ticket admission include videos of the Walk, 2 printed photos and a certificate. We can purchase the remaining photos that they took for ~$20 CAD (Optional). We are also allowed to explore CN Tower and SkyDeck with your admission. I really love the videos – the qualities were great! Definitely worth the money! I did a little bit of editing and combined all four videos. If you'd like to see what EdgeWalk is like, head over to my YouTube Channel (see profile). Overall, this is an amazing experience. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Toronto!

Deathly afraid of heights but this was so awesome. City looks beautiful from up there. Not as scary as I thought. Once in a lifetime experience and worth trying.

When I first saw the price I thought it was a little expensive, but after the whole experience I would say it’s totally worth it. The added perks of getting back up the tower for free and the photo/video package you get are really nice. The experience itself is pretty amazing and lasted longer than I thought it would. We went in the day, but I will probably go again some time in the future at dusk.

Absolutely amazing experience!!! I can't recommend this enough. It's INCREDIBLY safe, for those of you that are worried! The cables that you're attached to can hold something like 7 tonnes. You're not going anywhere. It's such an incredible thrill, being so high outside at the edge! You do all sorts of activities like "Toes over Toronto", leaning backwards off the edge, leaning forwards off the edge, etc. It's a TON of fun!!! You go all the way around the entire CN Tower. The whole experience is about an hour and a half. The first hour for safety and preparation, (getting in the suits and harnesses and such) and then it's about a half hour outside. It was just an incredible experience that I highly recommend to anyone.
