Such a charming atmosphere, the entire vibe suspended me. Good music, lighting, and lived-in setup. The food was just ok but not bad. The prosciutto sandwich wasn't vibrant and lacked coherence. Just average. I'd still come back with company though, this is an excellent spot to sit, lay back and chat over a meal. The menu offers a good selection of breakfast foods, sandwiches, pizzas, some other things and drinks, so there's a whole lot to choose from. The service was very friendly but so so so slow. Horrifically slow. Finally I found the the overall cost to be expensive for what we ordered. Again, this wouldn't detract me from coming back, it's a sweet place. But it's worth noting.

I had a great time here. The food was absolutely delicious and came in super generous portions. The vibe and interior was super cozy and I loved the music playing. However the bill did take a whole to come but other than that, perfect experience!

Always love dining here, there’s lots of great options on the menu and a great place for small to large groups spread across different floors.
The best thing, however, is the fact that it’s open 24 x 7, which makes for the perfect spot to visit after a late night out! In fact, the atmosphere is probably the best late at night.
On this occasion, I tried their house omelettes per their brunch menu (I substituted the salad for fries, which reminded me of chips from back home in England - delish!).
One of my favourite spots in the city - worth a try!

I’ve been here a few times now, and the brunch menu never disappoints. It’s impressively large and caters to both savory and sweet cravings. This time, I tried the vegetarian burger, and it was moist, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The house salad on the side was fresh and vibrant—an excellent pairing with the burger. We always save room for dessert, and the Belgian dark chocolate cake was the perfect way to end the meal—rich, decadent, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed and delicious brunch experience!

The top floor has such a good vibe.
Great for a group meeting or a casual date. I like the interior I think it’s got personality. The mini bar upstairs is a nice touch. Food’s good, no complaints.

Went to the Pilot to catch up with a few friends and ate on the rooftop patio, which had a really solid vibe. Unfortunately some construction is being done on the building next door so not much of a view but the patio has a nice breeze and open sky, and some TVs around as well so you can watch sports.
Food was okay. Decided to try the special jambalaya for $22 which had chicken and shrimp. It was a bit bland but the portion was pretty decent.
Service was okay. Not bad by any stretch and the staff here are pretty friendly, but would just suggest as a teaching point that when tables are running low on water that you proactively refill it. Especially when minimum suggested tip is 18% 😬.
Decent spot though if you're looking for a rooftop patio where you can get some sun or watch some sports!

Easily the best rooftop patio tavern in Yorkville comprising the main floor, stealth lounge, and flight deck!!! They got live music, amazing food, and all types of shows. Personally, I love the cajun chicken sandwich and yet to try the rest.
A perfect venue for friends gatherings, birthday parties, and live hockey games!

We sat at the rooftop patio, which was nice. The reviews praise the mac and cheese but i was hungry so i got the lamb souvlaki. It tasted good but a bit inconsistent in texture. Some bites were dry, some were okay. Serviceable.
Our food took a while to arrive but service was fine otherwise.

We went there with our friends and we enjoyed it so much ,,, our server were very nice and we had AYCE and it was very nice ... they were fast enough and serving us , all the meats and etc... were fresh and good , also they were super friendly,,, and I read in lots of reviews they're charging you for tips or service on your bill but our server told us when he gave us our receipts so no complains on that :)
We really enjoyed it and for sure we will go back there again especially it's super close to our places
Highly recommended 👌

Went to there with my kids when I traveled Toronto. Price okay but quality bad. 13% is already included in the price.
That can be Korea Style but never be Korean BBQ.

Absolutely loved this Korean grill! The service was excellent—staff were super friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome esp the owner! The food was fresh and flavourful, and the seafood was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time! Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. And to top it all off, we got free ice cream at the end of our meal—such a sweet touch! Highly recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back!

Unpleasant experience.
We went for the all you can eat dinner and got seated right away, no wait which is great, we orderes our first round, the order came pretty quick but it was missing half the order, we ordered beef, beef ribs, lamb, shrimp,
mushrooms, onion, salads, and sauce.
All the meats came but not a single item of the veggies came, I thought it would come later but it never came and I had to order it again.
We asked for you grill to be changed since it started smoking up, the server never brought it until I asked again.
The food was mediocre, the beef slices were good, some of the ribs were mostly fat, the lamb was not good at all, it tasted like a live animal, the shrimp was good!
we ended with pineapples, again had to order them twice to get them, and I wish they never did, it was canned pineapple, we got 1 scoop of ice cream each (cookie monster, banana) both flavors were delicious.
On top of all of that there's a mandatory %13 gratuity on all tables, we're literally cooking our own food and had to beg for service, even the bill I had to ask for twice.
we paid around 34 per person including everything (tip+tax) it's 27.99 before tax.
overall would not come again, there are better options out there.

I have been coming to this Tim Hortons all throughout my undergrad at U of T since I lived nearby, and now that I commute I still pass through Holt Renfrew Centre almost every day. This has always been one of my go-to spots because the staff are friendly and hardworking.
That being said, the location is small and often feels understaffed, which slows things down during the morning rush. It also constantly smells burnt inside, which makes waiting less pleasant. Today I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte at 10:09 a.m. and it took over 15 minutes. When I politely asked about it, another customer rudely cut me off. To make things worse, my drink was not called out and was just placed on the counter without informing me. I almost left thinking it was not coming, and I ended up wasting time waiting for no reason. By the time I realized, I was already late for class while people who ordered after me had already been served.
The latte itself tasted great once I finally got it, and that is why I am still giving 4 stars. This location has been my favourite for years, but I hope they address the burnt smell and improve communication during busy times so customers do not feel overlooked.

Every dish we ordered was spot-on, the Thai bowls were packed with flavor, the mushroom truffle burger was rich and perfectly cooked, and the beef tacos were juicy and well-seasoned. The portions were generous, and the presentation was great. The vibe was energetic but still comfortable, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

Had an amazing experience! The bacon cheeseburger was absolutely fantastic – the patty was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, served with crispy fries that paired so well. The portion size was spot-on for one person. The steak was also impressive – great quality and a generous portion for a restaurant like this. Definitely coming back!

Great location. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great decor. Patio seatings available. Food was quite basic - home fries were chunky and lacked flavour, omelette lacked substance (like eggs were watered down / made from instant) and toasts were barely toasted. For sure there was room for improvement on the food front but servers kinna offset for the dining experience.

Great little breakfast spot with a cozy, family-friendly vibe. We ordered a mix of dishes — scrambled eggs, an omelette with potatoes, turkey bacon, toast, and fresh orange juice. Everything tasted fresh and hearty, and the portions were generous.
My only disappointment was that they didn’t have chai latte at this location (😭), so I settled for English breakfast tea instead. Still, the food made up for it. The kids loved the coloring activity while we waited, which kept them entertained. Would definitely come back for another classic breakfast!

Lovely breakfast spot with a warm, welcoming vibe and solid portions. We had scrambled eggs, an omelette with potatoes, turkey bacon, toast, fresh orange juice, and a side of salsa and guacamole — everything was flavorful and filling. The kids enjoyed coloring while waiting, which was a nice touch.
Only letdown was that they didn’t have chai latte at this location 😭, so I had English breakfast tea instead. Overall, a satisfying brunch experience with classic diner-style comfort food.

I recently visited Sunset Grill in Toronto, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! We ordered the Mediterranean and Veggie omelettes, and both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also tried their pancakes, which were light, fluffy, and delicious.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the facility was well-maintained. Our server was excellent (Suman) —super friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable.
The only small suggestion I have is that they didn’t offer oat or almond milk as a non-dairy option for coffee. It would be great to see that added to the menu in the future.
Overall, I highly recommend Sunset Grill! The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch, and I will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic breakfast at the newly reopened Sunset Grill. The food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. My kid especially loved the cute decorations on his French Toast Cheesecake. The new management has done a wonderful job. We can’t wait to come back every weekend!

Lee Chen at Yonge & Bloor delivers a polished yet comforting Chinese dining experience with genuine attention to flavor and detail. The space is warm and modern—wood tones, soft lighting, and thoughtful seating create an inviting atmosphere in midtown Toronto.
I started with their renowned xiao long bao—delicate wrappers filled with savory broth that bursts perfectly with each bite. Redditors even call it “the best xiao long bao in the downtown area” . I also had the Dong Po Rou (crystal pork belly), which was unctuously tender without being greasy—again, praised widely online .
Other standouts included salt & pepper chicken (crispy and juicy), scallion pancake (flaky layers), and hot & sour soup (well-balanced tang and spice) .
Service was friendly and attentive—even at off-peak hours, staff greeted us warmly and guided menu choices . Portions strike that sweet spot: generous but not overwhelming—great for sharing a variety of dishes.
If you want flavorful, meticulously prepared Chinese dishes—especially soup dumplings and pork belly—Lee Chen Yonge is a top-tier choice in Toronto’s midtown.

Stopped by Lee Chen for a weekend meal a couple weeks ago and had a lovely experience.
We ordered a few dishes including chow mein, Szechuan fish and garlic fried Bok Choy. We got steamed rice on the side.
My favorite dish was the chow mein. The fried thin noodles are lovely and well stir fried. There's a good flavor here that's great comfort food. The only issue I had is that the quantity is a little on the low side for the price. $15 for stir fried noodles could have been a little more on quantity, especially without any protein added.
The fish is a bit on the spicy side and it was a little powdery for my liking. The coating here is also a bit soggy for this type of dish. I didn't mind it but I don't think I would order it again.
The greens were excellent. Simple and delicious flavours here with garlic. Really enjoyed this dish too.
The service here was nice. The hostess is lovely and friendly making us feel comfortable and welcomed.
Overall this is a lovely spot for a nice meal. I think I would try some of the meat dishes and dumplings that are more popular.
Recommend supporting this local Toronto spot.
Keefe Valladares - 8 months ago
I am confused as to why this particular location has received such low ratings. My experience there was very positive and the service was quick and efficient. The salt and pepper chicken I ordered was cooked to perfection - it was crispy on the outside and still moist inside. Also, the black pepper beef was cooked perfectly, medium well and very juicy. I particularly enjoyed the Lee Chen Fried Rice, which was delicious. Lastly, the dumplings were just as good as the best dumpling restaurant “Juicy Dumplings”.
Now where Lee Chen suffers is the portion. The quantity doesn't reflect the price. But overall great place to dine.

We ordered 3 pizzas from Mamma’s Pizza: combination , Hawaiian, and chicken. The crust was baked perfectly, which I really appreciated. However, I didn’t enjoy the pepperoni pizza as much because it had too many bell peppers, and their flavor was a bit overpowering. On the other hand, the chicken pizza was absolutely amazing!

Reasonable price for downtown area.
Bright and nicely decor dinning room. Could have clean the dinning area better, saw stain on the wall.
Washroom is clean.
Complimentary bread and butter.
Food came quickly and hot.
Cocktails are ok, the white sangria is way too sweet and off balanced.
Burger is decent and definitely filling.
Server did check on us regularly but sometimes making jokes that we find it a bit awkward.

We tried out Holts Cafe (on Bloor) for their afternoon tea over the weekend. My friend and I love to try out the various spots around the city and so I don't mean this lightly when I say: this is by far the worst tasting afternoon tea we've ever been to, which is such a shame because it was on the relatively affordable side. We're foodies so we were disappointed in how everything tasted; the savoury items could be described as a combination of mayo, raisins, weird bursts of acid and onion with no other outstanding flavours; the scones were tough and burnt; as for the desserts - the posset was delightful - but the cakes were dry and underwhelming and the worst of them (like quite literally, offensive to the senses) was the mead wine jelly popsicle, which overwhelmed your senses with the boozy tones and was so tough to bite into. Perhaps in the future I'd come here for a coffee or a meal but the afternoon tea was an experience I don't want to have again.

The food was honestly quite underwhelming, in flavour, but was very fairly priced. Everything was presented beautifully and the interior of the cafe was pretty. Would not go again for a full meal, but maybe for a coffee or cocktail in between shopping. Service was okay, nothing to rave about, yet staff were nice.

Came here for happy hour with my family and the service and food was amazing! Their happy hour menu items range from $5 to $20 so we ordered their entire happy hour menu! We especially loved the korean fired chicken, shishito peppers and prime rib sliders. We also love that they have a kids menu and were very accommodating and patient with my little nephews. Overall, a great lunch experience at Holt's Cafe :)

A great spot for a quick bite to eat in Yorkville. We had the avocado toast (with poached egg), the ahi tuna poke bowl, the chicken sandwich and a burger. Additionally, an iced matcha and a iced americano. The food is always fresh and deliscious and the service staff are quite helpful.
A very fun spot to grab a bit to eat during a day out in the area.

ONoir was an absolutely amazing and unique experience. It’s very humbling at the same time. We learned to experience the reality of others who are visually impaired and for this, I am very grateful. The service was excellent, and the food was very good and I would highly recommend this place if you are in the city and want toexperience something new. Parking is a bit challenging, however, there is paid parking within a few minutes of the restaurant. Rates are about five dollars per 30 minutes or $10 flat rate after 6 PM. Definitely worth visiting this restaurant.

This place was decent. The food was good. Our server Elias was kind. He would just appear and disappear not really announcing for us.
The food was good. I see many complaints of colder food. However it is served this way so we dont get burned with finger eating or feeling around with our fingers. The air was very still and stale. The place smells like old cardboard. No visible exit signs. It was a unique experience. I would personally not come back to this particular location due to the environment. But I would recommend the experience.
