My partner and I stopped in early in the morning for breakfast at this place, 7 west cafe. Our hotel is very close so we googled restaurants that were open for breakfast and we chose this one and we were not disappointed. We both got the breakfast special which I think is the all of the time breakfast which is only $10 between 6 and 9:00 a.m. the value of what we received for the price we paid is outstanding! I actually recommend they increase the price of the special because at $10 they're only making pennies on a breakfast. Breakfast includes eggs cooked how you like, fries, toast, a choice of bacon or sausage, and coffee. I think it's supposed to come with fruit but ours came with a pancake instead. Compared to the other breakfasts available in the area, this has to be hands down the cheapest, best breakfast around. The inside of the cafe is quaint, with earth tones, wood furniture, and wood floors. Delightful french music in the dining area. Our servers were thorough and came to check on us. I have no complaints about any of the food. The only criticism I could offer is that I feel like the furniture is a little old and I think the floors could benefit from a buffing.
I will return

Dine in 7 pm reservation on Valentine's Day. The customer service was prompt to seat and serve us. The food was amazing! I loved the steak fries, the herbed chicken sandwich was tasty and plentiful. Will come back for breakfast or brunch!

I ordered nachos, and garlic bread for appetisers. Both the menu items were great and presentation was also appealing.
For dinner, I ordered Penne Arrabiata Pasta and Margarita Pizza with tomato sauce. Presentation was fine for both, but taste wise, pasta was better. Pizza was close to average in taste.
For desert, I ordered double chocolate cake and red velvet. Both the cakes were super delicious and did justice to their menu section of dessert, namely “Bit of Bliss”.
Service was great, the order was taken correctly and served accurately. Lastly, Atmosphere was 5 star, suitable for outing with a group of friends or a date night.

This resto has been around for a while now. It is a popular late night eatery ( 24 hrs. ) with the university / hip crowd.
The brunch menu only is in effect from 10AM-3PM.
The food and the portions are fabulous. The drinks can accompany many of their dishes here.
I had the steak and eggs 🥚 and it was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly. The portions were generous. The fries were fresh and delish.
The service is friendly and attentive.
The setting in a “ Edwardian “ home 🏠 from a time long since gone is nostalgic and charming.
This is not my first visit and it will not be my last 😀.
Happy Eats everyone 😎

For fans of Smith (and Wish) who miss their food, thank your lucky stars that 7 West continues to be firmly planted on Charles Street. Everything here exceeded my expectations. The decor is cozy and Victorian and they open up their little romantic balcony when the weather is warm. The service is incredibly quick even when the little restaurant is packed. And the dishes are huge. The warm french toast was a perfect comfort food dish and the avocado toast is served with a huge side salad. The best part? It’s open 24 hours. We walked in and were immediately seated at 12 noon on a Saturday.

Came here with a friend for a casual dinner and this place did not disappoint! Toughest part was walking up a flight of stairs but after that, you've found yourself on a nice spacious rooftop patio complete with a bar and ample TV screens for sports fans. Ordered the the Smoked Pork Chop grilled with maple BBQ sauce (with fries and coleslaw). My buddy got the Chicken Strips (with fries). The Pork Chop was tender and meaty while that maple BBQ sauce imparted such an addictive sweet & savoury flavour to the dish. The Chicken Strips were good too, nicely battered and crispy without being dry on the inside. Fries and salad were also good. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, highly recommend this place to all! 5/5.

I don’t know how I’ve never been here before! The rooftop patio is absolutely amazing. It’s very breezy and doesn’t get too hot.
The service was also exceptional. Me and my GF ordered spicy Caesars which were amazing but very very spicy. The bartender could see it on our face that it was hot so she gave us extra tomato juice.
The famous wings were also some of the best I had. I opted for the hot and the lemon pepper.
I enjoyed my time at Pilot and would definitely return

Haven’t been here in years, it was kind of quiet for a Saturday night. We sat on the main floor, it was a little cold. Drinks came out quick and tasted ok. The flat bread we all got were burnt. Don’t know if they were having an off night. Overall had an okay time, but wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

My partner and I visited on a Wednesday for a late lunch, so it wasn’t busy at all. The server was so warm and welcoming, and helped us choose seats that weren’t under direct sun. The food is on the pricier end, which didn’t match up to the taste/quality of the chicken wings that my partner ordered. I got the jerk chicken wrap, which was a bit small, on the dry side, but still well-seasoned and at least it didn’t get too sloppy. A big problem with some outdoor patios are wasps, so we really appreciated the traps they set up to keep them occupied. Overall, we enjoyed our visit!

Looked like a great place to eat. It's a unique concept but I wasn't impressed after coming here twice to eat. Both my friend and I had hard and dry potatoes, food was bland, the atmosphere was cold (literally) and the service was terrible. We were the only ones in the restaurant but it seemed that the servers had better things to do than to serve its customers. Not impressed by the food, price, service and atmosphere.

Nice place for a barbecue time! From outside it looks small, however there is plenty of space for everyone!
We tried all you can eat option which is approximately $36 per person and you can have unlimited meat, fish, side dishes and vegetables.
You are ordering through your phone scanning QR code on the table. It is a bit confusing , however after first time we got used to it.
The service is fast and friendly! The location is perfect as it is near Bloor station.

Korean Grill House is a good spot for a last minute date. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming and attentive. If it's just for two, no booking is required. It is a perfect place for those who are tying Korean BBQ for the first time.
The staff were friendly and always accommodating. The service was fast, there was minimal wait for the food. A bonus was that the staff offered the table a limited time beef tenderloin, which was really good!
The food was delicious, we went with the all-you-can-eat menu ($36/person, holiday price). There were a variety of options including some that were vegetarian friendly. The meats that we ordered were beef, beef ribs, chicken, squid, salmon, fish fillets, pork belly, and lamb. We ordered rice as our side and also ordered mushrooms, onions, and pineapple. The chicken breast and chicken wings were part of the limited time menu but included with the all-you-can-eat. Every dish comes well seasoned and marinated, all you need to worry about is cooking it as you'd like. The meats are thin but still filling.
The drinks however.. are a little pricey. We ordered the Long Island Iced Tea and the Lemon Drop. Both drinks had an overpowering taste of alcohol which made it hard to enjoy. Which was a little disappointing as one cocktail was $10.99. Also.. the Korean Soju is $21.00 for a 369ml bottle.
However, Korean Grill House is in an excellent spot that is easily accessible with TTC. There is also a Green P parking garage located across the street and plenty of street parking.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience offered by Korean Grill House and will definitely visit once more.

*AYCE Lunch Menu*
FOOD: you get what you pay for. It's dirt cheap so the quality of the food is pretty bad and also not many options. Meat is very chewy, beef was bad and has dark color (not fresh). They sit in a bath of blood on the plate. Side dish and vegetable is limited to 2-3 options.
Big thing is the grill has huge holes on it so your meat might fall down, heat was too high and there's no control over it.
SERVICE: the lady looked annoyed and very impatient, later on I have a waiter (who look like the manager) has a better attitude.
INSIDE: feels a little greasy and sticky from the table to the floor to me.

This Korean Grill House location is my family and I’s absolute favourite. The food is consistently good, the servers treat us like family, and the experience never gets old!
The servers here quickly started to recognize my family and I, and would greet us accordingly. They always thank us for coming and say they can’t wait to see us again! We really appreciate how prompt, friendly and attentive they are!
Ordering here is very simple: each table has its own QR code which you scan and select your meal options, then select the items you want at your own pace. The service is always SUPER PROMPT (items come out almost immediately), and with the AYCE option, you can get as much as you want with no time limit!
Our favourite meat to get and cook by far is their regular beef, which always comes super tender, marbled and marinated in their delicious sauce. We also love their rice, squid and vegetable options (such as the pineapple, onions and mushrooms) for the KBBQ. Their signature sauce they have to go with the meats is also delicious. We love coming here for the All-You-Can-Eat option, and we cook until our hearts’ content!
My fiancé also loves to get their iced strawberry mojitos, which are super sweet and refreshing! For dessert, they offer a complimentary scoop of strawberry or mango ice cream, which is always cold, creamy, and refreshing after a greasy (yet tasty!) KBBQ meal.
It can get very busy here, especially on weekends, so getting a reservation may be a good option. I highly recommend coming here for some delicious KBBQ and great service!

Everything was fresh and tasted good, the staffs are so nice. We opened our own bottle for $15. Service was very good and fast but 13% service charge is unreasonable! If you are happy with everything you give tips and I really didn’t get the point of this charge. In total all was good and will be back for sure 👌

The honey garlic chicken strips were very delicious, the fries were nice and firm but soft, and the brownie was great. Only thing slightly off was that a fifth of my ice cream melted before it reached my plate. Still an amazing experience with my server Andi, the atmosphere was great, joined their rewards club for 15% off, got to play a song on their stereo. I would recommend this place highly

We had a wonderful lunch yesterday before the home show. I had the Buddha salad and my husband had the Cobb salad. Both were excellent with the honey Dijon vinaigrette- kudos to Geoff the chef! Justine was our waitress and she was awesome and very attentive and made good recommendations. The staff here are all great and very friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

I have been to many Jack Astor's in Quebec (Montreal and Laval). My experience there was better than the one on Bloor (Toronto). The service was very slow. I ordered a steak, medium. I got it really well done and couldn't enjoy it. I didn't want to return it because I was hungry, however I finally asked for a replacement. It took a while to get it. I was the last one eating. Everyone was already done with their plates. That's why I didn't really enjoy the experience.
I still gave 4 stars because, overall, the food, the location and the vibe are good.

Everything about this place was good but not amazing. The food was ok, my steak was a little bit overcooked. The servers were nice, but they forgot forks for our table. The atmosphere is nice, I do like the paper and crayons they put on your table so you can draw with whoever you're with to pass the time.

Staff was amazing but food was lacking a bit. The server we had was really great, positive attitude and did so much! Amazing service, coffee kept coming without us asking. Staff was very tentative and made sure we had everything we need. We did not feel like we were rushed and felt that we were consistently serviced without asking.
The food was a little bit lacking. Their "Light Breakfast" section was removed from the menu and some of our favourites were gone. The omelettes still looked decent and there seems to be more home fries than needed (was like half the plate). Not sure if it was this location for the compressed menu and too much home fries.. At least, we were still full and service was great!

We ordered Sunset Super and French Connection with bacon. It was a good portion for the price and the taste was good.
They gave us our check before we finish our meal and although we haven't asked for it. It was a one check for both and they didn't even ask us if we would like to split or go with one check for both.

I am pretty much a regular here for breakfast, going once or twice a week for quite a while. My timing is random, anything from 715 am to 12 noon. The staff are almost always polite, speedy and diligent.
The food is good, and usually delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. They do on occasion run say pancake specials which slow down the kitchen. I very much like the 3 eggs with bacon and toast. ($13.5 for 3 eggs n bacon) The eggs benny is also good. I find the coffee hit and miss, some of my friends love it, I score it as 3/10 and on par with coffee time. A big reason why I give them 4 stars instead of 5.
If you get there before 11 they even have a few specials.

Update July 2019:
Seriously hungry for breakfast, I order the crab cakes with soft poached eggs.
When an item on a menu includes the word “cake,” the last thing that should come to mind when the dish is served are terms like: pie, thin or flat.
Served by a well organized and attentive Carlos, his only failure was to not steer me clear of the soft mush I was about to scoop up without the need for the steak knife it came with. The darn things weren’t even crispy. My gentle Mother would have smacked the cook in the back of the head for she knew what crab cakes were all about. The spoon was of better use than the fork.
As for said crab, well that would need a paragraph all its own so I’ll spare you and just say this: Stay clear of the crab cakes. For 15 dollars, you will NOT be impressed and still be hungry. Luckily, they are only available for a limited time.

Jan/2018.
Steak & eggs done to perfection? Nice piece of meat, medium rare and well seasoned. So why doesn't it taste like anything? I scraped the seasoning off the steak and it was as bland as can be. A real shame.
Well greeted by attentive Staff who follow through after the meal is served.
Restaurant misses:
A/ Main glass door entrance lacks power to be fully accessible for those in wheel/power chairs.
B/ Mobility scooters, park 'em outside as the tight interior will leave you frustrated.
C/ The aroma of grease from the kitchen invades your clothing and follows you around for hours after your meal. Note to office workers. Two hours doing errands in the morning air and it was still with me...my cat was never so happy to see me.
The meal:
Corned beef hash with eggs. Perfectly cooked eggs properly laid over the hash. Fine roasted potatoes and thick, Texas style toast with two jams so you don't have to bother the waiter for the constantly illusive second one.
The hash was full of flavour but a tad on the gritty side.
The restaurant is clean with good views of Bloor Street.
All in all a fair meal for a fair price.

My days, the food was sooo good and was ready quickly. I got the spicy beef noodle and the beef was so soft and well made 🥹We also got these delicious sesame balls as complimentary dessert. We placed our orders easily with an iPad that was given to our table. It was quiet upstairs and had a calm, dark ambience. My friends and I had an amazing time.

Mamma’s Pizza on Yonge Street just north of Bloor is my go to pizzeria for a pizza that tastes like home. Growing up in Sault Ste. Marie you become accustomed to good Italian food and homemade pizza. My favourite Mamma’s Pizza is a thin crust large pizza with a tasty tomato sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni. 🍕🍕🍕
Pizza isn’t the only item on their menu - they have lasagna, chicken parmesan, side pastas and salads. My friends and I have gone here for years and they never disappoint - this is the closest I get to the homemade pizza I grew up on. You can grab a slice of pizza, they usually have a few varieties ready and on display. You can eat in, pick-up for takeout and they also have delivery. Their wings are a perfect addition to pizza nigh - turn it into pizza and wings. I’ve had their party size pizza and it makes the party even more delicious!

I was in the mood for a good veal sandwich and considering what I've had from other places over the past six months, Mamma wins hands down. Had mine with onions, mushrooms & cheese. Everything from the bread on in was on point. Maybe with peppers next time.
Unfortunately I found the pizza bland. Ordered a medium pepperoni with mushrooms & onions. Nothing seriously wrong with it. Just nothing to write home about either.
Delivery was quick but...On a 37 dollar bill I handed the guy a 50 and told him to keep it. That's a 13 dollar tip so maybe the polite thing to say would have been "thanks?"

Alright food but be careful they might do scams here? They added 2 goyza dumplings to my dish even though those don’t come included by default I don’t think and I didn’t ask for them and that bumped up my order I’m pretty sure, not sure if it was a misunderstanding or a sneaky tactic (my price seemed a bit high but I didn’t ask for receipt and didn’t bother to clarify with them)

I ordered the chicken & shrimp combo and paid at the register. I watched as the chef prepared me meal and noticed the cashier whisper something to the chef.
She must've charged me the incorrect amount because when I turned my back the chef intentionally hid the shrimp from view and then lied to me saying that they didn't know I wanted the chicken and shimp combo and only served me chicken.
I accepted the order and pretended I didn't see him cook and then hide the shrimp. I used to go there all the time but now I see they are not trustworthy and operate in bad faith. I would not recommend anybody eat here. There are better options in the area

Honestly the food was great...I decided to just have a surprise menu all across the starters, main and dessert. Loved all three dishes ; flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked! My only fault with food is some parts of my dish were served cold (mashed potatoes) but a very small aspect when the meat dish was the star on the plate. Service was good.. but we went on a very quiet night by the sounds of it based on the weather we had. So, my date and I had only two other tables of two (by the sounds of it) near us. My date also complimented on the food & stated the food has drastically improved since the first time they came & the dishes aren't the same (always a plus to know). The atmosphere got three out of five stars, because I'm neutral. I went on an unusually quiet night for them, so I don't know what the normal / average night is like.

We visited ONoir last weekend, and the experience was truly unique. I recommend it to anyone looking for something different – it provides a fresh perspective on sight, taste, and daily activities. The food was enjoyable, though the portions were typical of a French restaurant. Opting for the three-course surprise meal added an extra layer of excitement. However, the food arrived slightly cold, possibly due to the server's pace, which was still acceptable.
My main concern was the temperature at our table in salon number 3, table 14. It was extremely cold, making it uncomfortable to remove our jackets. Despite notifying the server, the heating didn't seem to improve. I suspect the use of curtains to block light between tables might affect the heating system. Aside from this, if I were to rate my overall experience, considering the positive aspects, I'd give it a 1 out of 5 for coziness due to the temperature. Additionally, there was a tiny hole in the salon, around up-right of where we entered, that allowed some light in, affecting my girlfriend's experience. Although I might revisit in the summer, I would suggest addressing these issues for a better overall experience.

Such a cool and unique experience! We decided to go with the 3 course meal with each dish being a surprise and were quite satisfied with the taste and portions of each plate. The surprise meals along with the pitch blackness just made the experience a whole lot more fun. I definitely would recommend giving this a try!

the most unique and incredible experience. the server was very nice and patient with our questions and explaining the surroundings for us. the food was probably the best meal I've ever had, and it was interesting hearing that what I thought it was, was not what it actually was (I ordered the surprise meal). would highly recommend to anyone interested in eating blind! they do have a regular menu as well, if you do not want to order a surprise. they also ask about any allergies in advance.

Loved the experience! It was our first time dining in the dark. Our server, Elias, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The concept does a brilliant job of helping you accentuate other senses, while also allowing you to empathize with the daily reality of those who are visually impaired. The food was also very homely with large servings. Service was super quick. Overall, would definitely recommend and visit again.

The girl at the front "Ara" is by far the worst person to be handling any costomer. I was in line and i saw her scratch her head then continue to hand another customer their order. After witnessing such un hygienic practices i over heard the some rude comments. This "Ara" told a costomer that their smell was strong humiliating the costomer infront of other customers.
Thankfully another server assisted me and she was by far the friendliest person i have met. After recieving my order i was very satisfied with the food quality knowing my food was not handled by the other employee.
Its ridiculous to see such unprofessionalism from an employee that you ecpect to handle your food and orders with care. We just came out of a pandemic and her hygine and customer service is horrible.

Went there for lunch today and had a horrible experience. First the lady serving me punched in the wrong order, then only after paying I realized she only charged me for the burger but I had wanted the combo. She then proceeds to charge me separately for the fries and drink which makes it more than the combo price. Then after waiting for my food she then pulls me aside to tell me she punched in the wrong item so I ended up getting something else that I didn't order. I didn't have time to argue or complain as I was on my lunch break and had to rush back to work.

Could not enjoy toast because it was buttered despite asking for peanut butter. However, the bacon, egg, and hash brown were all delicious. Pop was good too.

Update: today I tried A&W's breakfast sandwich combo and was not disappointed! The hash brown is better than McDonald's and the English Muffin Bacon & Egger is comparable to the McMuffin!
I often go to this A&W for lunch and have always enjoyed the efficient service. My A&W staple is the Teen Burger combo, but today I decided to try the new Beyond Burger. I have to say, it was actually the best veggie burger I've ever had! Flavor and texture of the patty were very similar to real ground beef. The only noticable difference between this and their beef patty was that the Beyond Burger patty was less salty!
