The interior design of the restaurant successfully created a cozy Spanish atmosphere. However, the food took a long time to arrive and the service was quite slow, possibly due to limited staffing. Our water glasses weren’t refilled promptly, and finished dishes remained on the table. Once the paella arrived, the table felt overcrowded, and we had to eat very carefully. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations! The mussels weren’t fresh, and the portion was small. Given the price, I was hoping for a better experience overall.

This one was yum! We ordered a bunch of tapas to share and they were all delicious ranging from good to great! Highlights for us were the bacon-wrapped dates and steak. Hope to catch the flamenco next time!

Excellent for special occasions. The food was delicious and lots of Tappas selections. Service is top-notch. Parking is on the street or paid parking lots.
Wine selection and Flamenco show were fantastic. Highly recommend. *****

We tried their winterlicious menu and it did not disappoint. For our apps, we got the bacon wrapped dates and scallops, both were ourstanding. The service was a tad slow for the entrees but they were amazing too- the confit ribs were fall of the bone and the paella was so flavorful. For dessert, the flan was out of stock but we got the almond lemon cake and the fried goat cheese - impeccable. The ambience was authentic but the cherry on the cake was the live entertainment. This is a hidden gem!

We came to Tapas during their summerlicious promotion and it was great. They had live music on Friday which they do charge for in your bill. The food was great, we had a salad and soup to start then our two mains which were spare ribs and beef tenderloin. Both were extremely tender and very good. Dessert was also delicious. I'd recommend paying them a visit and trying some authentic Spanish cuisine.

Good selection and pretty good quality of meats and appetizers, with the standouts being the filet mignon, juicy chicken, and coconut banana. Love how the meats keep on coming, so you get to try everything multiple times versus having to fight for a taste.
Bonus points for the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. While other Brazilian steakhouses have a hot vibe, this place is full of warmth. Servers periodically check-in to not just offer you meat but ask if there's anything in particular you want. This place gives off a family-owned feel, and even their samba was wholesome as the dancer invited young and old alike to join in.
Overall, a fun night out.

It was our first time here and we enjoyed it immensely. My family liked the meat and the servers were all attentive to our needs. There was a live band and a samba show. A family member also celebrated her birthday. They sang her a Happy Birthday and gave her a slice of cake.
Lot Escobido - 2 months ago
Great food and atmosphere. The chef is an actual Brazilian, so it is in fact authentic. This place is the first and probably the only true churrascaria in Toronto, where you can experience real rodizio.
Highly recommend and really hope this place will stay there for many years.

I visited Allen’s last night for dinner and had a really lovely experience. We were seated on the back patio, which is fully shaded by the branches of a gorgeous giant tree—offering a cozy escape from the bustle of the Danforth. It’s a refreshing outdoor dining option compared to the typical sidewalk patios in the area.
We ordered the calf’s liver, served in a balsamic glaze with grilled onions and green beans. I’m not usually a fan of liver, but I appreciated how the balsamic and onions complemented the dish. My dining companions raved about it so if you like liver, this is a good choice.
The lamb shank was a standout. It was tender, flavourful, and came with a big helping of champ (mashed potatoes). It’s one of those comforting, well-executed dishes worth coming back for.
We also ordered the open-faced smoked salmon sandwich on soda bread with dill cream cheese and onions. It was fresh and satisfying, though I found myself wishing for a few briny notes — maybe some capers or a bit of fresh dill to brighten it up.
Drinks-wise, the beer list is solid, with a nice mix of local options and classics.
All around, a great spot with welcoming service, good food, and a backyard-style patio that makes you want to linger. I’m sure I’ll be back.

What a fantastic spot for an easy, quiet dinner on a Sunday evening! While we probably would have enjoyed the patio, it was very relaxed and quiet inside.
The staff were quite friendly, and extremely considerate with respect to our food allergies and restrictions.
The calf liver and onions were wonderful, and the portions were very generous, while the flank steak salad was very satisfying and savoury.
Do yourself a favour, and drop by Allen's...
(We just might see you there!)

We came in for February Steak festival and had a lovely time. We ordered the Caesar salad, frites, porterhouse steak, button mushrooms, and coconut cream pie.
The Caesar salad was simple but delicious - it was perfectly dressed and a great size to share between two people.
The frites were great - they don’t come with any sauce but we asked for ketchup and mayo on the side
The porterhouse was perfectly done. We asked for it medium rare and it was excellent
The button mushrooms were the biggest surprise for me. They were exceptional and had a really lovely sauce that we ended up using for the frites and steak as well
The coconut cream pie was very light and a good way to end the meal
Our server was amazing. He was very attentive and we were never waiting around for anything.
Overall we had a great time and would definitely return for the regular menu

This is a wonderful neighborhood pub / Gem 💎 ⭐️💎 serving great food, with a lovely patio at the back. In particular, we enjoy their “steak festival” each year. This time, we enjoyed dry aged thick cut large Tomahawk steak, dry aged USDA Prime (apologies….) rib steak, fennel slaw (delicious), oysters Rockefeller, sauted rapini, duck fat potatoes (too dry). Everything was delicious except the (dry potatos). Staff are helpful and friendly, Service was excellent, Thank you!😊

I got catfished here last night by a date so didn’t get the chance to have dinner. But the crowd, the environment and the staff were lovely. Thank you Host for helping me out! The Paloma was great! Stronger than most places would prepare it.

First time here. Came for a concert at the Danforth music hall. Had the Nashville chicken burger with fries, a large portion of sweet potato fries and a Mediterranean salad. Everything was delicious. Also had a couple of factory girl beers and a factory girl cocktail. Our server was nice. Comparably priced to other restaurants nearby.

We came as a small group for a light meal and drinks. There are daily cocktail specials and the margarita was decent but a bit light in flavour. The portion for the sweet potato fries was good for sharing. There was a mild odour inside that wasn't pleasant although can't say what it was. Overall, there were small things that added up that made the experience less than ideal.

I went here several times and they were all great experiences. Recently, I asked for substitutions for extra veggies instead of fries/bread and they were able to accommodate. The food is great although a bit pricey. It’s a nice place to watch a sports game without needing to make a reservation on a weeknight. The music isn’t too loud and the decor is really cool.

I went here for dinner on Wednesday, and overall, it was just okay. Nothing really stood out in terms of food or drinks, and I wouldn’t particularly recommend anything based on this visit. I ordered the “honey garlic wings,” but they tasted more like a mix of hot honey and BBQ sauce—not quite what I expected. They made a great Cesar though.

I went here after a bar. The food quality is good . You can get a quick wrap with falafel , chicken, or fish . They have rice bowls as well . Staff is friendly and they let me charge my phone too . I got a falafel wrap - which was nice and had lots of veggies, feta, falafel , other sauces at a minimal price .

Love the crazy wraps and the fries drowning in the crazy sauce. Sometimes the staff is nice about the EXTRA crazy sauce sometimes stingy. Baklava also tastes amazing when fresh. Come back often to the Danforth location.

Pretty good shish tawouk platter. The feta in the salad was a nice touch. Really well made chicken.

Everything in here looks delicious, I’ve had chicken & beef shawarma from here and today I had falafel. This was made fresh on spot, the rap was toasted crispy and the sauces were top tier. Really kind people, definitely stop by here to eat!!! Had lots of snacks and drinks that you don’t see everywhere. Tables were clean and this place does get busy.

I came to this location last night with my brother after leaving a house party. We both ordered a falafel, and they were absolutely the best ones I've ever had. However, customer service could have been a lot more friendly since my brother needed to use their washroom, and the guy working behind the counter said it's closed and he would need to wash it again. He even denied a woman who came with her friend, and they both ordered food.

I had the pleasure of visiting Pizzaiolo today, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the place welcomed me with a warm and cozy vibe. The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and had that perfect blend of modern and classic pizza-shop charm.
What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The lady at the front counter was genuinely friendly, patient, and helpful. She took her time to explain the menu and even suggested a few options based on what I was in the mood for. You can really tell when someone enjoys their job — and she absolutely elevated the whole experience.
Now let’s talk about the food: absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and the ingredients tasted fresh and well-balanced. Whether you’re a classic cheese lover or prefer bold toppings, they’ve got something for everyone. You can tell the kitchen puts care into every pizza they serve. I left with a happy stomach and an even happier mood.
Final thoughts: Great vibe, outstanding service, and top-tier food. Pizzaiolo isn’t just another pizza place — it’s an experience worth coming back for. Highly recommended! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t regret it

The workers here are so sweet and the pizza is very affordable. For the size you’re getting, two people can share “one” slice of pizza.

Nice staff, The Godfather is advertised as a "deep dish pizza," it is not. It's a fat crust pizza and nothing like a real deep dish. Very disappointed.
Smallest Godfather $28.07 with taxes.

Really nice pub with a great selection of food and drinks. Big fans of the beet salad and bangers and mash! Also found a new sour beer I like "Guava Gose". Server was super chill and the music and atmosphere was perfect. Bonus points for the kitchen being open late! Recommend 10/10

If you are trying to break into the Danforth stretch of pubs/ restaurants/ storefronts, the Edmund Burke is a good place to start. It has great pub setting , and is a lovely casual dim light interior for hanging out witj friends or meeting new people. The server I had is friendly with great vibe and energy.
Really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with buttered spaetzle!! The spaetzle was very taste.. little dumplings topped with butter and fried up to have some good crisp. The chicken schnitzel was proper crispy, but not dry. It was tasty and seasoned well. There is a back patio and a front sidewalk patio-- great for people watching👀

This is a fantastic local. Great conversation. Great service. And you got to try the hamburger especially the The one called Jack Blue... Great beef great blue cheese. Do have the fries they're fresh cut. I love the tone of this place. I love that they're locals there that obviously been going there for a long time. I love the guy who was reading a book by the light of his laptop. He was probably riding a book. I love the guys talking about cars and bikes. And they're watching the baseball game. There Art all over the walls to distract and intrigue the curious and if you're a stranger and you don't want to be, you'll be a friend soon of the Edmund Burke.

Absolutely LOVE this spot, have eaten in-restaurant twice over the last year, and ordered delivery multiple times, with someone Celiac at home we have NEVER had any issues with gluten!
Food is delicious and fresh, service is spectacular, honestly absolutely love this place!
We’ve had oysters, fish & chips, tacos, poutine (also a fan of their vegan options for poutine, garlic aioli and tartar sauce!), their deep fried Oreos are to die for, and the selections for beers and drinks are always nice!
(Ps, sorry for the almost demolished food pic, have tried and failed to take a picture before digging in for almost a year now)

Appreciate the clearly marked vegan options! The banana blossom “fish” is good, especially with the vegan tartar sauce. I would say it needs a little more flavour on its own, maybe longer marinating times? But if you add vinegar and the vegan tartar, it’s good! They also carry vegan poutine with cashew cheese! The service is always very attentive and timely and the space is very cozy.

Fish and chips, 10/10. Also got the curry, super flavorful.

We arrived just as they opened and were greeted by the friendliest lady who gave us a run down of the menu and sorted us out with drinks. The food was delicious and we tried a good assortment of what was on the menu. Fish tacos excellent, brussel sprouts awesome, fish and chips delish!

Really good vibes in a very nice neighborhood if you want to talk there's private rooms and the live music was really good as well I love it

This is my favourite neighbourhood pub. Staple classics, and great service. The vibe of the rooms at the front always makes me think of “Peeky Blinders”. Back yard patio is a great place to escape and gather with friends. What really stand out about this place is the regular live music and dancing. The crowds are friendly and unpretentious.
Petio Ivanov - a month ago
The Guinness was nice and cold, and the live music was great, especially the traditional Irish tunes. The servers were friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. I tried the fried calamari, but the portion was small, and it seemed undercooked, likely due to a low-temperature fryer.
Peter Shin - a year ago
I stopped in here with my parents before catching a show at the Danforth Music Hall, which is right next door. It has a very authentic Irish Pub feel to it, with the accompanying beers on tap. We had some food, and it was very good indeed. I had the salmon burger, and my parents had fish and chips, and crab cakes, along with a sharable of blackened potato salad. Glad we stopped in!
Farley Hadley - a year ago
The Irish shanty tunes that were going on when I was there Friday night were gone about in an uninterested blasé way. They didn't seem to really like what they were doing, would sing 2 or 3 songs, and then wait 10 minutes until they did anything else. I don't know what this was supposed to be all about, but it was certainly not the fun energized performance and sing-along that it could have been...Just very very boring. Perhaps they were coerced into this gig. That's the only way I can explain it for myself

Hi Everyone
I went to 240 Danforth Pizza Nova. Milad is a kind and nice person I met at the cashier. He is from Afghanestan. The store decoration is very good and I like the red motorcycle in this picture. I eat Pizza and Coca Cola. Pizza was very delicious and the store has a good vibe and nice music.
I recommend to everyone to go this Pizza Nova. He charged my phone before even I buy pizza. I appreciate his kindness.
Thanks

I’m not sure if each Pizza Nova owner makes their own Pizza but it would be better if there was consistency. At this particular location the workers look tired, and the pizza always has not the best presentation. I’m writing this because I recently visited another pizza nova further east on Danforth and the selection was not only different but they had much more delectable choices. Another bonus; they gave me a free slice as they were about to close, on their offering. Not only was that generous but the pizza slice was a very tasty potato and cheese. I wish I lived closer to that location.

When my local pizza place is closed, this is my go-to for a delivery pizza. Ingredients are tasty and many options along with specials. Delivery is on time, hot and handled properly to avoid toppings shifting during delivery. Probably because they have their own delivery staff and not a third party.
