Went for my 50th birthday! Place looks nice, low lighting and there was live music and a dancer. There was a serve yourself salad bar which was really good and had a nice assortment of salads, cheese and meats. Meat service was a bit slow but did pick up. Issue with meal was all the meat was VERY VERY salty!. Was able to take pictures with the dancer. Was very disappointed for the price we paid ($80 pp, $40 birthday)

Winterlicious AYCE menu is $65 or so plus $15 if you wanted access to all the meats. Some of the meats were pretty good while others were just dry or too salty. Meats came out inconsistenly, maybe once every 3-15 minutes but our waiter was nice enough. The pineapple was probably the best dish there. Nice atmosphere and salad bar though.

This is a well-deserved 5 stars! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. There are plenty of options to choose from, which makes the experience even better. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but you truly get what you pay for—definitely worth it!

Hands down the best meat I’ve ever ate. The staff were incredible, very fast and friendly. Once you eat here you’ll never want to eat anywhere else. I don’t know how the chef can cook such amazing meat I’ve never had anything that good and I’ve ate at many nice steak houses. The pineapple is a must have it is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be back soon!

Love this place. The meats are truly so delicious. The salad bar is yummy but dont get too full on that as the meats is what you are there for. The staff are kind and friendly and caring. Wouldnt mind having more desserts to choose from but we do love the grilled pineapple.

Steak Festival is something I look forward to every year, and I’m so happy it’s finally February again! We ordered the 42 oz porterhouse for $122, and the value is absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, great quality, and more than enough to share. Even the kids loved it, which says a lot. Such a satisfying steak experience — can’t wait for next year’s festival already!

A neighbourhood institution with its extensive selection and stunning indoor patio. Went here for the steak festival and they had steaks from all over the place. Got the sirloin and ahi tuna, with sides of double baked potato and brussel sprouts. Cuts were thick and cooked ok. Standout was definitely the potato with its milky cheesy mix. Prices are gastropub level. Service is friendly and efficient. Vibe is casual lively. Great for families and friends. While I found the food overall just ok, the experience was a good one.

From the moment we walked in Maude our delightful server took excellent care of us. Even after we finished she never made us feel rushed to get up and leave, like it was necessary to ‘turn over’ our table. Allen’s has a great reputation for consistency of food, beverages and service for good reason. I had to try the acclaimed lamb shank, and it was a hit!! On the lighter fare was salmon, chicken pot pie and a juicy burger ( although the trimmings on it - for the price- did look very sparse!. ) We enjoyed the mussels to begin , which were very tiny, ( might have been a supply issue / uncontrollable) but the broth with their rye bread was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. If you want to have a quiet conversation, or get bothered by crowded small spaces- go on an off hour. It gets quite noisy and crowded. Clearly you need to budget for eating here but worth it. I guess every place has gone radically up in price since 2020, and now most likely will again in March 2026.

Came here for Feburary Steak Festival and it didn't disappoint. My friend booked a reso for 9 and there was a bit of a wait for our 8pm reso. This place was packed and I could see why. We did family style and ordered a striploin, ribeye, porterhouse and few sides. Their onion rings are one of the BEST I've ever had: super crispy and airy. The only dish that I wouldn't recommend was the duck fat potatoes which were too hard and not was I expected. The other star was their caesar salad which was delicious. Steaks were all really good and nicely cooked. I think this place is underrated. Highly recommend and would come back for their normal menu or for steak fest again.

What a fantastic spot for an easy, quiet dinner on a Sunday evening! While we probably would have enjoyed the patio, it was very relaxed and quiet inside. The staff were quite friendly, and extremely considerate with respect to our food allergies and restrictions. The calf liver and onions were wonderful, and the portions were very generous, while the flank steak salad was very satisfying and savoury. Do yourself a favour, and drop by Allen's... (We just might see you there!) Came back for the tart, which they don't have on the menu anymore... However, the Guinness Cake was fantastic!

Had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. The French toast with strawberries and whipped cream was delicious and beautifully prepared. The server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and made for a great dining experience.

Had the Francesca pizza. Absolutely amazing, it's a must have. The portions are large and the food is great. Service is amazing as well. Atmosphere was great for a Thursday evening, didn't get the chance to experience it on a weekend night, sure its great. Seems like there's a lot of regulars which says something about the quality.

I visited in the early afternoon, so the place was fairly quiet, but I heard it gets quite busy in the evening. The atmosphere inside is wonderful and very comfortable to spend time in. Both the counter and booth seating areas are lovely — perfect for relaxing and having a good chat. I’ve been here before for brunch on the back patio, but I actually prefer the cozy indoor vibe.

Let me set the record straight. This is one of the best wraps in the city. Picture this if you can: after imbibing at Noonans (best pint of Guinness in the city), catching a show at the Danforth or simply getting off at Broadview following a long day, you walk into the warm embrace of Ali Baba’s. The service is efficient and polite. Your meal of choice is expertly and quickly done to specification. You sit down with your closest friends who have enjoyed a fair few beverages, (mind you this author is writing as the designated driver so these praises are not tainted with the fog of a drunken meal; a state that can often lead to exaggeration) what follows is emotional ecstasy. A perfect combination of spice, flavor and proportioned toppings. Do yourself a favor, go out with your mates or a loved one and have a wrap beforehand, during and after the night’s revelry. Life is short eat at Ali’s.

I have been one of their regulars for 7 years and counting. I go almost every Friday, for my favourites. While in queue lining for my turn to serve, they already know what I want and in every specific (like: veggies, sauces, rice, meat how it's done and chop, etc. etc). With that said, the serving is fast, efficient, welcoming, worth every $$ I spent. Special mention to Asim, who always take good care of my orders every Friday, well packed and organized. Feels like home, undeniably all my favourites are flavourful, savory, shawarma chicken and Shih Tawook meats are tender and well-marinated and so juicy. Asim last week introduced me with their latest masala fries - that was a new kick and definitely, will be one of my favourites than the regular fries. Ahmed and the mgr. (I forgot his name, sorry - peace), also served me many times awesomely. I can't wait to see Asim tomorrow for my favourites! Thank you very much Ali Baba and the team. May more years to serve the locals at Danforth consistently with your flavourful foods - we will keep on coming! Cheers!

Great slice on the Danforth! We were all on our way to watch a show at the Danforth Hall and walked by here. It looked delicious and it did not disappoint. Definitely one of the best take out slices I’ve gotten and a good price for a big slice. One “slice” is more than often for one person. The hot honey was my favourite.

I don't really know what he charged me for but I still ate all of it, food was great. I asked for a full pizza but they gave me a weird look. I said "wait, when do you close?" And they said "like 8 mins" so I said "okay just like 2 slices then please. It says $5.5 per slice but he gave me 4 slices for $14 after tax so I think they gave me a deal? Not sure, food was good but I dripped grease on my white shirt and it got a stain. My girlfriend used this laundry stick on my shirt to try and get the stain out and I'm hoping for the best. I was drunk and ate bith slices in under 4 mins, I think? Idk. Would recommend.

It was a great experience in different ways. First of all, obviously, the tasty pizza. Secondly, another place where I booked kids birthday with promising serving the food and birthday cake on site, everything was cancelled and I was in a hurry to find the suitable for 8 kids place. The goal is not easy. Pizzaiolo served us not only with great pizza, but with understandable atmoshere that allowed kids didn't feel refused or unwanted customers. We were able even eat the birthday cake. So appreciated to this place for understanding and great service.

honestly real good for 6.50 a slice. i walked in and got their cheese slice and it was really good. i think it could use a bit more sauce but thats really my only gripe. 10.50 for a medium pepperoni pizza doesnt sound bad at all if the whole pizza is as good as that slice

We’ve been enjoying this bar for several years. They recently started charging 2% extra on your bill if you use a credit card: it makes no sense!Money-grab? There are lots of other bars to enjoy if they keep this policy.

I have been visiting this bar for many years and have only good things to write about. . The staff are very friendly the food is tasty and the beers are cold. The back patio is a great addition for this buys stretch of the Danforth. This places checks all boxes , not much more anyone can ask for. Great destination with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Really nice pub with a great selection of food and drinks. Big fans of the beet salad and bangers and mash! Also found a new sour beer I like "Guava Gose". Server was super chill and the music and atmosphere was perfect. Bonus points for the kitchen being open late! Recommend 10/10

If you are trying to break into the Danforth stretch of pubs/ restaurants/ storefronts, the Edmund Burke is a good place to start. It has great pub setting , and is a lovely casual dim light interior for hanging out witj friends or meeting new people. The server I had is friendly with great vibe and energy. Really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with buttered spaetzle!! The spaetzle was very taste.. little dumplings topped with butter and fried up to have some good crisp. The chicken schnitzel was proper crispy, but not dry. It was tasty and seasoned well. There is a back patio and a front sidewalk patio-- great for people watching👀

I phoned a week prior to make a reservation for 2 at 6pm. There was no wait when we arrived a few minutes flbefore 6pm. It was our first time here. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. We ordered the Tuesday special fresh east coast oysters. The oysters were fresh & great. The halibut was very good. The batter was just right (not too much). My friend has a gluten allergy and there were plenty of options, including gluten free batter in a seperate fryer and gluten free beer available. Excellent first time and we will return with friends and family for sure.

This place has a lot of fans so I'm likely the outlier here, but found it just ok. Stopped by and got: - Fish and Chips: Pretty good portion size, batter wasn't overly thick, and liked how you could choose type of coleslaw. The fish meat itself though was dry. - Seafood Linguine: Tasty tomato-basil sauce, nice aldente noodles, pretty good amount of seafood. - Oysters: On the smaller side but pretty fresh. - Maple Fried Brussels Sprouts: A bit heavy handed on the sauce. But if you like maple glaze, you'll love this. - Flourless Chocolate Cake: Dense and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Place is decorated in a fun way, and while narrow is well laid out. Service is friendly. Kitchen is quick. Prices are fair. So overall, an ok spot to visit if you're in the mood for seafood.

🐟🐟🐟 We haven’t been to off the hook in many years (not for any specific reason) but we’re super glad we stopped by again :) the chowder was super yum! 😋 quite possibly even the star of the show. the fish and chips and seafood pasta were delicious as well ❣️ but honestly i could have had like 4 bowls of the chowder and been satisfied 🥣 highly recommended 🙏 hope to be back soon!!!

Had an incredible meal here recently! We ordered the fish and chips, tuna steak, and the chowder—everything was delicious and the portions were surprisingly big. I stopped in here with my parents before catching a show at the Danforth Music Hall, which is right next door. It has a very authentic Irish Pub feel to it, with the accompanying beers on tap. We had some food, and it was very good indeed. I had the salmon burger, and my parents had fish and chips, and crab cakes, along with a sharable of blackened potato salad. Glad we stopped in!

The Guinness was nice and cold, and the live music was great, especially the traditional Irish tunes. The servers were friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. I tried the fried calamari, but the portion was small, and it seemed undercooked, likely due to a low-temperature fryer.

Best Irish pub in Toronto and by a long shot. A traditional style pub with a cozy, old Ireland feel serving, in my not so humble opinion, the best poured and best tasting pints of Guinness in the city. They also have Kilkenny and Magners on tap, with a moderate selection of other international and local beers and ciders. While their Guinness is second to none, it would be nice to have at least one other stout on offer as an alternative such as Murphy's or O'Hara's, or a local Canadian stout. I also really appreciate that there is not a single television to be found in the place, encouraging you to talk to your neighbours and other patrons. Live music is a big feature at Noonan's and also hosts traditional Irish folk music sessions twice a week. On these nights that I've attended the experience has been fantastic. The food menu is decent but somewhat limited and a little pricey but given that this pub is a drinking pub and not a gastro pub, and that the food actually comes from the kitchen of the neighboring restaurant it could be forgiven, though I would like to see more traditional Irish staples on offer. If dining at Noonan's, I'd recommend the smoked salmon plate with potato cakes as I find it pairs very well with Guinness. Overall, this place is an absolute gem. Hats off to the staff and the owner (who you can also often find working diligently behind the bar) for making Noonan's such a great place.

First time to try this Pizza Nova location. We were rush so just eating at the counter. We have tried a few different pizza stores and this pizza store tastes pretty good. Pizza was hot & fresh and very cheesy. Restaurant was neat & clean. Convenient location! Will definitely visit again !

Danforth and playter is an excellent location of pizza nova. The staff always make up the quality of any business, and this store delivers great quality pizza with great service. Crispy, airy and proper amount of sauce as requested.

My friend and I were having such an amazing time while dining at this place. We've been trying different locations, but this place really stands out from the rest. Good food, good service, and a nice, cozy atmosphere. The staff was very attentive in explaining to us how to customize the bowls. And the vegetables were so fresh and healthy. I would recommend my friends come back and have a bowl again.

Tried this place for the first time by ordering on Skip. I selected the miso lemongrass tofu bowl with an add on of charred broccoli, and a seasonal mushroom warm bowl. There was a nice variety of veggies and toppings in both bowls. The portions are quite generous - I wasn't able to finish the tofu bowl. The cucumber dressing was yummy and flavourful. I only tried a bit of the mushrooms from the warm bowl but it was tasty. Unfortunately I do have two complaints: 1. The carrot ginger sauce that came with the mushroom bowl had gone bad - the plastic container it came in was bulging when it arrived. I tried a bit of the sauce and it was fizzy so I put the lid back onto the container loosely with the intent of throwing it out after dinner. When I came back to the counter a bit later, a whole bunch of the sauce had oozed out of the container. 2. They forgot to add the charred broccoli to the tofu bowl. The forgotten broccoli isn't a big deal but I'm more worried about the carrot sauce potentially making people sick.

I've always wanted to try ImPerfect and finally did and OMG was it delicious! So colorful, fresh and great portions. I also tried their new Ube tiramisu and it was so authentic and creamy! I'll definitely be coming back. They make eating healthy enjoyable!

By far my favourite place/location to get my imperfect bowl. They get my bowl right every single time, and one time I forgot to order the right dressing (I’m very picky about my dressing) and they STILL got it right. The food is always so yummy and well prepared. I recommend 100000%.
