We came upon this place by chance and had a very enjoyable dinner and entertainment. Prices are reasonable for Toronto, but definitely transported us to Spain for a nice evening. We enjoyed the tapas, drinks, and desert and had a wonderful time.
Steve Mulholland - 3 weeks ago
The interior design of the restaurant successfully created a cozy Spanish atmosphere. However, the food took a long time to arrive and the service was quite slow, possibly due to limited staffing. Our water glasses weren’t refilled promptly, and finished dishes remained on the table. Once the paella arrived, the table felt overcrowded, and we had to eat very carefully. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations! The mussels weren’t fresh, and the portion was small. Given the price, I was hoping for a better experience overall.

This one was yum! We ordered a bunch of tapas to share and they were all delicious ranging from good to great! Highlights for us were the bacon-wrapped dates and steak. Hope to catch the flamenco next time!
Koren Chou - 6 months ago
Great tapas place - enjoyed the charcuterie, shrimps, meted goat cheese and the wine. Also really good bread. The octopus was a bit overdone though. And we were surprised by an amazing show of flamenco dancing and singing! Very nice restaurant which I’m looking forward to retuning to!

We tried their winterlicious menu and it did not disappoint. For our apps, we got the bacon wrapped dates and scallops, both were ourstanding. The service was a tad slow for the entrees but they were amazing too- the confit ribs were fall of the bone and the paella was so flavorful. For dessert, the flan was out of stock but we got the almond lemon cake and the fried goat cheese - impeccable. The ambience was authentic but the cherry on the cake was the live entertainment. This is a hidden gem!

Love this place. The meats are truly so delicious. The salad bar is yummy but dont get too full on that as the meats is what you are there for. The staff are kind and friendly and caring. Wouldnt mind having more desserts to choose from but we do love the grilled pineapple.

We had an incredible experience at this Brazilian espadas restaurant on a quiet weekday evening in Toronto. The food was absolutely delicious and the constant, plentiful flow of high-quality meat (especially the Picanha!) meant we certainly didn't leave hungry.
Despite the calm atmosphere, the service was truly world-class and exceptionally attentive. A huge shoutout to Lucas and Tin—their friendly, proactive attitude and attention to detail elevated our dinner and made the evening feel intimate and memorable.
We highly recommend visiting for both the delicious food and the stellar team. Five stars!

Good selection and pretty good quality of meats and appetizers, with the standouts being the filet mignon, juicy chicken, and coconut banana. Love how the meats keep on coming, so you get to try everything multiple times versus having to fight for a taste.
Bonus points for the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. While other Brazilian steakhouses have a hot vibe, this place is full of warmth. Servers periodically check-in to not just offer you meat but ask if there's anything in particular you want. This place gives off a family-owned feel, and even their samba was wholesome as the dancer invited young and old alike to join in.
Overall, a fun night out.

It was our first time here and we enjoyed it immensely. My family liked the meat and the servers were all attentive to our needs. There was a live band and a samba show. A family member also celebrated her birthday. They sang her a Happy Birthday and gave her a slice of cake.

We were looking for a quick dinner before seeing a concert on Oct 2nd. On this early evening, it wasn’t busy yet. We were asked if we had reservations, which we didn’t. Luckily, he was able to give us a table that was reserved for a bit later.
Allen’s has the feeling of a local pub where neighbours meet up after a hard day. It got very busy, very quickly shortly after we got there.
We began with the Calamari, it was pretty good. We then had the Lager Halibut & Chips and the Tamworth Pork Rib Chop. Our dinner was completed with their own Banana Cream Pie.
The pork was cooked to perfection, it was absolutely delicious as was the orzo. The Halibut was more doughy than we prefer but once we took the dough off, there was a yummy piece of Halibut under there.
Our waitress Deb was fun and attentive!

Allen’s on the Danforth has one of the best patios in the city. perfect for a sunny afternoon or a chill evening. The food is definitely a step above your typical pub fare. The burger was fantastic, fish and chips hit the spot, and the polenta fries were a standout. The lobster roll was tasty but could’ve used a bit more lobster, and the Guinness cake was a great way to finish off the meal. Service was friendly, though a bit slow at times, but overall it’s an excellent spot for great food and atmosphere.

I visited Allen’s last night for dinner and had a really lovely experience. We were seated on the back patio, which is fully shaded by the branches of a gorgeous giant tree—offering a cozy escape from the bustle of the Danforth. It’s a refreshing outdoor dining option compared to the typical sidewalk patios in the area.
We ordered the calf’s liver, served in a balsamic glaze with grilled onions and green beans. I’m not usually a fan of liver, but I appreciated how the balsamic and onions complemented the dish. My dining companions raved about it so if you like liver, this is a good choice.
The lamb shank was a standout. It was tender, flavourful, and came with a big helping of champ (mashed potatoes). It’s one of those comforting, well-executed dishes worth coming back for.
We also ordered the open-faced smoked salmon sandwich on soda bread with dill cream cheese and onions. It was fresh and satisfying, though I found myself wishing for a few briny notes — maybe some capers or a bit of fresh dill to brighten it up.
Drinks-wise, the beer list is solid, with a nice mix of local options and classics.
All around, a great spot with welcoming service, good food, and a backyard-style patio that makes you want to linger. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Allen’s is a standout gem on the Danforth with its own special charms. Come here once or twice a year and I’m never let down. The service is always great, sometimes slow during the rush (who isn’t?), the food is always fresh and incredible, and the vibe is very New York / Chicago style. Almost feels like I’m in an episode of Sopranos or a scene in Good Fellas (but in a BEST way).
I definitely recommend this place if you want something other than Greek on the Danforth!
Picture: Fish special, polenta fries, Caesar salad, and shrimp cocktail.

What a fantastic spot for an easy, quiet dinner on a Sunday evening! While we probably would have enjoyed the patio, it was very relaxed and quiet inside.
The staff were quite friendly, and extremely considerate with respect to our food allergies and restrictions.
The calf liver and onions were wonderful, and the portions were very generous, while the flank steak salad was very satisfying and savoury.
Do yourself a favour, and drop by Allen's...
(We just might see you there!)

I visited in the early afternoon, so the place was fairly quiet, but I heard it gets quite busy in the evening.
The atmosphere inside is wonderful and very comfortable to spend time in.
Both the counter and booth seating areas are lovely — perfect for relaxing and having a good chat.
I’ve been here before for brunch on the back patio, but I actually prefer the cozy indoor vibe.

Wonderful menu. Easy to find something great to eat. We had the sirloin burger fries and a pizza. All were excellent. Best fries to team with a beer and burger! Pizza was delicious!!

First time here. Came for a concert at the Danforth music hall. Had the Nashville chicken burger with fries, a large portion of sweet potato fries and a Mediterranean salad. Everything was delicious. Also had a couple of factory girl beers and a factory girl cocktail. Our server was nice. Comparably priced to other restaurants nearby.

Great calamari and sweet potato fries, generous portions, not oily. Good selection of beers. Fun atmosphere, clean washrooms, attentive staff. Great place, would return!

We came as a small group for a light meal and drinks. There are daily cocktail specials and the margarita was decent but a bit light in flavour. The portion for the sweet potato fries was good for sharing. There was a mild odour inside that wasn't pleasant although can't say what it was. Overall, there were small things that added up that made the experience less than ideal.

I went here after a bar. The food quality is good . You can get a quick wrap with falafel , chicken, or fish . They have rice bowls as well . Staff is friendly and they let me charge my phone too . I got a falafel wrap - which was nice and had lots of veggies, feta, falafel , other sauces at a minimal price .

Love the crazy wraps and the fries drowning in the crazy sauce. Sometimes the staff is nice about the EXTRA crazy sauce sometimes stingy. Baklava also tastes amazing when fresh. Come back often to the Danforth location.

Pretty good shish tawouk platter. The feta in the salad was a nice touch. Really well made chicken.

Everything in here looks delicious, I’ve had chicken & beef shawarma from here and today I had falafel. This was made fresh on spot, the rap was toasted crispy and the sauces were top tier. Really kind people, definitely stop by here to eat!!! Had lots of snacks and drinks that you don’t see everywhere. Tables were clean and this place does get busy.

Great slice on the Danforth!
We were all on our way to watch a show at the Danforth Hall and walked by here. It looked delicious and it did not disappoint. Definitely one of the best take out slices I’ve gotten and a good price for a big slice. One “slice” is more than often for one person. The hot honey was my favourite.

I had the pleasure of visiting Pizzaiolo today, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the place welcomed me with a warm and cozy vibe. The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and had that perfect blend of modern and classic pizza-shop charm.
What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The lady at the front counter was genuinely friendly, patient, and helpful. She took her time to explain the menu and even suggested a few options based on what I was in the mood for. You can really tell when someone enjoys their job — and she absolutely elevated the whole experience.
Now let’s talk about the food: absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and the ingredients tasted fresh and well-balanced. Whether you’re a classic cheese lover or prefer bold toppings, they’ve got something for everyone. You can tell the kitchen puts care into every pizza they serve. I left with a happy stomach and an even happier mood.
Final thoughts: Great vibe, outstanding service, and top-tier food. Pizzaiolo isn’t just another pizza place — it’s an experience worth coming back for. Highly recommended! If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t regret it

The best pizzaiolo location in all of Toronto!
I went here somewhat frequently while I was in high school, and every single time I went in I was greeted with warm smiles from the workers. They pretty much all knew my order despite only coming in maybe once every other week, and would tell me when my regular choice had run out right as I would step in the door. I noticed that the pizza at this location is also of significantly higher quality than other pizzaiolo locations in the city, too. Overall, this is a fantastic location with amazing workers and a lovely atmosphere.
Cal Gailitis - 2 months ago
The workers here are so sweet and the pizza is very affordable. For the size you’re getting, two people can share “one” slice of pizza.

Nice staff, The Godfather is advertised as a "deep dish pizza," it is not. It's a fat crust pizza and nothing like a real deep dish. Very disappointed.
Smallest Godfather $28.07 with taxes.

Really nice pub with a great selection of food and drinks. Big fans of the beet salad and bangers and mash! Also found a new sour beer I like "Guava Gose". Server was super chill and the music and atmosphere was perfect. Bonus points for the kitchen being open late! Recommend 10/10

If you are trying to break into the Danforth stretch of pubs/ restaurants/ storefronts, the Edmund Burke is a good place to start. It has great pub setting , and is a lovely casual dim light interior for hanging out witj friends or meeting new people. The server I had is friendly with great vibe and energy.
Really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel with buttered spaetzle!! The spaetzle was very taste.. little dumplings topped with butter and fried up to have some good crisp. The chicken schnitzel was proper crispy, but not dry. It was tasty and seasoned well. There is a back patio and a front sidewalk patio-- great for people watching👀

How have I not been here before? I have been missing out on this cute little pub on the Danforth. We enjoyed cocktails made beautifully and had a delicious meal - including bangers and mash, beef dip and chicken schnitzel.
Food was delicious and well priced and the service was efficient and friendly. It is in such a great location, I can see why they are busy.

Excellent vibe! Schnitzel deal was great, perfectly cooked meat, plus the sauce and spaetzle were both great. Not my favouritest selection of beers but the hazy IPA was decent. Great place to grab a bit before a show at the Danforth Music Hall

Really great food and atmosphere! We got the fish tacos to start and they were incredible. I definitely recommend. For entree I had the seafood risotto, it was a little too oily for me but still really enjoyed it.

Absolutely LOVE this spot, have eaten in-restaurant twice over the last year, and ordered delivery multiple times, with someone Celiac at home we have NEVER had any issues with gluten!
Food is delicious and fresh, service is spectacular, honestly absolutely love this place!
We’ve had oysters, fish & chips, tacos, poutine (also a fan of their vegan options for poutine, garlic aioli and tartar sauce!), their deep fried Oreos are to die for, and the selections for beers and drinks are always nice!
(Ps, sorry for the almost demolished food pic, have tried and failed to take a picture before digging in for almost a year now)

Delicious gluten-free and dairy-free options! The fried fish and onion rings were great. And we got to try poutine for the first time despite our dietary restrictions!
Josh Justice - 5 months ago
Appreciate the clearly marked vegan options! The banana blossom “fish” is good, especially with the vegan tartar sauce. I would say it needs a little more flavour on its own, maybe longer marinating times? But if you add vinegar and the vegan tartar, it’s good! They also carry vegan poutine with cashew cheese! The service is always very attentive and timely and the space is very cozy.

Fish and chips, 10/10. Also got the curry, super flavorful.
Love the atmosphere and the place was clean. Bathrooms too.
So happy we chose this place to satisfy our cravings. Will definitely be back when we visit Toronto!

The Guinness was nice and cold, and the live music was great, especially the traditional Irish tunes. The servers were friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. I tried the fried calamari, but the portion was small, and it seemed undercooked, likely due to a low-temperature fryer.

Hi Everyone
I went to 240 Danforth Pizza Nova. Milad is a kind and nice person I met at the cashier. He is from Afghanestan. The store decoration is very good and I like the red motorcycle in this picture. I eat Pizza and Coca Cola. Pizza was very delicious and the store has a good vibe and nice music.
I recommend to everyone to go this Pizza Nova. He charged my phone before even I buy pizza. I appreciate his kindness.
Thanks

First time to try this Pizza Nova location. We were rush so just eating at the counter. We have tried a few different pizza stores and this pizza store tastes pretty good. Pizza was hot & fresh and very cheesy. Restaurant was neat & clean. Convenient location! Will definitely visit again !
Shirley Cheng - 3 years ago
I’m not sure if each Pizza Nova owner makes their own Pizza but it would be better if there was consistency. At this particular location the workers look tired, and the pizza always has not the best presentation. I’m writing this because I recently visited another pizza nova further east on Danforth and the selection was not only different but they had much more delectable choices. Another bonus; they gave me a free slice as they were about to close, on their offering. Not only was that generous but the pizza slice was a very tasty potato and cheese. I wish I lived closer to that location.
