The staff here are super sweet and nice. We even asked for a special order and they kindly made it for us. The sashimi here tastes very fresh and the customer service is also amazing. Prices are cheap as well. Would recommend!

The food was amazing, me and my friend ordered chicken katsu and it was so crispy. The curry tasted amazing and savoury and it had little delicate carrots and it was delicious. The service was nice and the server was so friendly and the atmosphere was so comfortable. Overall I loved everything!!

I can’t begin to describe how amazing the service was. We stayed past closing because some of my guests arrived late due to poor road conditions, and not once were we rushed to order, eat, leave, or settle up. The waiter remained completely friendly with us until the end. The food came out quickly, and everyone at my table agreed it was some of the best Greek food they’ve ever tasted. The pricing was unbelievable as well—$106 (before tip) for all four of us to eat until we were stuffed. As for the atmosphere, it was a unique and cozy setting. I ate here a lot as a child, but coming back as an adult made me realize why my father was so fond of this place. I highly recommend it. This is easily the best dining experience I’ve had in Greektown—or any Greek restaurant, for that matter.

I’ve been to Astoria several times for their delicious moussaka. (I have tried the moussaka at another very good Greek restaurant in the same area and Astoria’s is FAR superior.) Today I met a couple of friends there for lunch and the food was delicious (again!). We shared an order of the saganaki (fried cheese that is set on fire right before serving) and it was out of this world. This Astoria has a spacious patio next to the building. There are awnings to keep the sun from beating down on you, and no sides/walls so the ventilation is excellent (for those who are concerned about airborne illnesses like the flu, measles, and COVID). The service is always excellent and super-friendly. For those with certain accessibility needs, there is an all-gender washroom on the main floor with grab bars. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, but still with class. 10/10 would heartily recommend this place.

First time I came to Greektown on Donforth Ave. to eat Greek food with friends after a relaxed walk around Riverdale Park West and East. The restaurant had home-style charm and comfort, and wasn’t busy. A friend who came here before kindly ordered the food for six of us. We had chewy pita and creamy tzatzik, fresh Greek salad(though I’m still not used to feta cheese), saganaki, mousaka dinner, and a hot combo for two. The owner brought us saganaki - flaming cheese. He poured a shot of liquor over the cheese, set it on fire, and called out loundly ‘Opa’. it’s phenomenal! The cheese was a bit hard outside but gooey inside, and was rich and flavorful. Mousaka looked like lasagna layered with soft eggplants and topped with my favorite béchamel sauce. The highlight in combo for me was the delicious octopus/calamari, but the spinach pastry esp. the dolmades were too salty. Haha I solved this problem by eating dolmades with pita! The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed the authentic Greek food, except only an all-day menu was provided and it was a bit pricey for lunch.

Dining area could use more cleaning on decor but otherwise good vibe. Enjoyed watching flaming cheese delivered to other tables. Souvlaki was excellent if not enough tzatziki sauce on side. For mobility challenged the basement washroom could be challenging. Just a heads up. Many restaurants downtown have these in Toronto so not unexpected. Otherwise nice homey neighbourhood spot.

From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, the staff—including the owner himself—attended to our every need. I ordered a wonderful lavraki (sea bass), cooked to perfection and served with potatoes, green beans, and carrots. Appetizers? Absolutely: spinach pie, Greek salad, and melitzanosalata (eggplant spread). For dessert, I enjoyed a delicious almond pie, karidopita. Sitting on the patio on a gorgeous Labour Day in Toronto with my mother and a friend made the experience even more delightful. Don’t miss out—head to Pantheon to enjoy genuine Greek cuisine. I would say this is one of the best Greek restaurants I had so far. When you go in it feels very authentic. The flaming cheese was delicious and the salad was delicious. Some broken plates but you can’t get perfect. The flaming cheese was delicious with the bread excellent. The lamb was amazing, with the rice phenomenal, so tender melts in your mouth. One of the best Greek food I had in Toronto.

I came here today for a birthday party based on a friend’s recommendation. The server was attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing and did not live up to the restaurant’s reputation. I ordered two dishes: the lamb chop entrée for $49 and the octopus light option for $32. The lamb chops were decent, but they were fattier than what I’ve had at other Greek restaurants. The biggest disappointment was the octopus. For $32, the dish came with only two small pieces of tentacle served on top of a salad, and the octopus itself was very soggy. I’ve had octopus many times before, and the better versions are usually lightly crispy on the outside while still tender on the inside. This dish was neither, and the portion size made it feel even more underwhelming. When I shared my concern with the server and asked whether I could switch the octopus for something else, he declined and said he was unable to do that. I understand restaurants have policies, but given the price of the dish, I was surprised that no adjustment or alternative was offered, especially at a restaurant so highly rated for both food and service from some of the past reviews. I also noticed that similar concerns have appeared in past reviews, with responses from the owner saying they would work on the feedback. Based on my experience today, it was disappointing to say that nothing much changed as I encountered some of the same issues today. The total bill came to $89 after tax. For that amount, I have definitely had much better meals elsewhere. While the service was good, the food did not justify the price, and unfortunately, based on this experience, I personally would not recommend this restaurant.

One of the best Gyros in the city. Highly recommend giving it a try. ​The Pork Gyro is their signature—cooked on a vertical rotisserie with crispy edges. It’s super delicious, though I found it a bit too salty for my taste. The Chicken Gyro was not salty at all, and I loved it. Both wraps come loaded with fries inside, which is a great touch! ​Just a heads-up: the portions are huge and packed with ingredients, so one wrap can easily be heavy or enough for one person. ​For sides, we ordered their Greek Potatoes—oven-roasted to perfection with olive oil, lemon, and oregano. Absolute 10 out of 10. ​Don't forget to order Ayran (which is exact Persian Doogh) to flush it all down! ​I'll definitely be back.

We recently visited Messini Authentic Gyros for lunch and had a great experience overall. We tried both the lamb & beef mix gyro meal and the chicken gyro meal, which were around $17 each. The standout was definitely the lamb & beef mix gyro. It was flavorful, well-seasoned, and noticeably better than the chicken gyro. The fries that came with it were absolutely delicious—crispy, fresh, and some of the best we’ve had with a gyro meal. I would definitely order them again. The chicken gyro was still enjoyable, though it came with cooked potatoes instead of fries. The potatoes were alright, but they didn’t stand out the way the fries did. One thing that impressed us was the portion size. The meals are very generous and offer great value for the price. We also loved the outdoor seating area, which made for a perfect summer lunch date. On top of that, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Overall, good food, large portions, reasonable prices, and a great patio atmosphere. We’d happily come back, especially for the lamb & beef gyro and those amazing fries.

I have been to this location at least twice and Everytime the food here has been amazing. Their Gyro platter is more than enough for 2 people and the quantity of their Greek salad is just too good. Everytime I had to get rest of the food as takeout. I would definitely recommend everyone to at least try this Greek Restaurant once

I’ve been going to Messini for years, and the quality of the food never disappoints. Excellent service, fast and the food is very warm when they serve you. The quantity of the food is also impressive. Definitely worth the price I recommend the platters because I like to eat a lot, and if you want the Greek fries I would order them as an extra to your platter, it is cheaper and the quantity is still good to share between 3 to 4 people. I also love their salad! Always fresh and the feta they use is simply the best. I consider this the best Greek Restaurant in the city.

One of my favorite Greek Restaurants in Toronto. Delicious authentic Greek food, great vibe and atmosphere. The best service and friendliest staff, I have had dinner here multiple times and I have brought my family & friends here to share in my happy moments. Had a great experience at Mezes! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous. We were served a fresh salad before our meals, which was a really nice touch. The “Mezes of Rodos” seafood platter was absolutely amazing — huge portion, super fresh, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted delicious and the quality was so good. We also tried the “Small Kria Poikilia” and the appetizers were incredible. The famous cheese show was such a fun touch and tasted great too. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was classy with a beautiful location. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had lately.

Mezes is a wonderful Greek restaurant with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for a meal with family and friends. It can get busy, so there may be a wait for a table during peak hours, but most of the time it's easy to get seated. They don't take reservations and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, which I didn't mind at all. The food was excellent! I especially loved the chicken souvlaki and lamb souvlaki—both were flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The saganaki was absolutely delicious and a must-try. The portion sizes are generous, so you'll definitely leave feeling full and satisfied. Overall, I had a great experience at Mezes. The delicious Greek food, warm atmosphere, and generous portions make it a place I'll happily return to again and again.

What a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming. The restaurant is spacious, spread across two and a half floors, creating the perfect setting for friends and family. The overall vibe of the place was amazing, making it easy to enjoy both the food and the company. The food was excellent from start to finish. After placing your order, you’re welcomed with a fresh Greek-style salad. The grilled halloumi was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our main dishes were generous, delicious, and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. One of my favorite Italian restaurants around! The focaccia is by far my favorite one in downtown and it’s on the house. The menu is seasonal and changes based on the ingredients on hand. Some of my favorites are the arancini, sexy duck leg (anatra), and the mushroom ravioli. Service is great and the vibes are immaculate. Love love love!

Came here for a nice dinner during the Winterlicious event, where you pay a specific price for a 3-course meal from a specific Winterlicious menu that has a few options per course to choose from. I am just going to review this based on the dishes I personally ordered and from what I thought of the taste(s). Upon entering, where we were slightly early for our reservation, we noticed that the restaurant was rather busy and nobody acknowledged us for a couple minutes. Finally, a gentleman came over and took our names, and we were seated. As I have been to 7 Numbers twice before, I was very familiar with the atmosphere and what to expect ambiance-wise. The walls are nicely decorated, there is ample heating during the cold winter months, and the restaurant dining room is very dark, mostly lit by live candles - this gives a very comfortably intimate vibe, but be advised that since it is quite dark, it would be slightly difficult to see some things and you have to be careful not to knock over things in the shadows. Regarding the service... I found the staff to be friendly enough when interacting with you, but the overall feeling was that everyone and everything was a little rushed - not to the point where you feel dismissed, but it was definitely not the slow, attentive and personalized service that you may come to expect from a restaurant of this caliber. That was most clearly highlighted by the fact that they began taking away our candles even before we fully got dressed and left our table at the end of the night. Okay, onto the food! Probably what you guys care about the most anyways. For my appetizer, I ordered the "Piccole Polpette al Cuore di Mozzarella" - mini beef meatballs with cheese and a delicious tomato based sauce. The portion size looked rather small at first, but there was a decent amount of substance in the dish. The meatballs were well-cooked, and contained molten cheese on the inside as a filling. The flavours really complimented each other nicely, and the meat and cheese were elegantly balanced by the sauce. I would give this dish a solid 8/10. For the main, I ordered the "Branzino alla Pugliese" - pan-seared sea bass with a tomato–olive–caper relish, served over lemon-scented farro and finished with fresh herbs. The sea bass had crispy skin, and was thoroughly cooked. The meat was not extremely moist but contained plenty of flavour. I will admit, some bites were slightly "fishy", not terribly distracting but it is a fair warning to anyone who is very queasy when it gets to seafood taste, that the fish will taste like, well, fish!? The tomato and olive caper relish was a great pairing to the fish, as the sweetness of the tomatoes and the saltiness of the olives truly elevated the star up a notch. There were two side compliments, one a parmesan cheese, the other a roasted (jalapeno?) pepper side, which can be used to top off your mains. The roasted peppers had a bit of a kick to it and tasted really good - highly recommended. The parmesan, well, you can never have too much parmesan! Anyways, the sea bass main was solid - I'll give it a nice 8.2/10. Finally, it was time for my dessert. I ordered the "Nutella Tiramisu" - espresso-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone, and a swirl of Nutella, all packed into a 125ml mason jar. It was nice, which is a decent compliment in my books. Smooth, creamy, and decadent, a nice ending to a solid meal. 8/10. A disclaimer, the POS machine is set up so that the default min tip percentage (%) is 20%, which is what I went with, but if you are used to 12%, 15%, or 18% (or something else), you will need to manually enter a $ value or your own % value. All in all, this was a good dining experience, and I expected nothing less as I knew the food here to be really good anyways. 7 Numbers Danforth serves quality Italian cuisine with a cozy quaint atmosphere. Although I didn't have drinks this time, I have during my previous experiences here and yes their drinks are great as well. It was a pleasant evening. Food 8/10 - had the pork chop, calamari, wine, spicy margarita. Service 8/10 - attentive for the most part! Ambiance 8/10 - we could occasionally smell some sort of back up from the washrooms… 🤢 was quite disturbing. I get that it might be out of the restaurants hands… but you gottta fix that asap!!! Outside of the washroom smell issue ambiance was amazing. Love the cozy feel! One thing I will say… when the bill came and the terminal was passed to me, the lowest tip option is 20% …. And that just really rubs me the wrong way. You’re assuming so much! Left a bad taste in my mouth TBH. Of course I would have left 18% as I always do for this type of service. But Why do you assume everyone will be 20% satisfied with their visit? The fact that’s it’s pre-populated is tacky.

The burrata salad was amazing with roasted tomatoes in a pesto sauce....just so very good. The toasted bread it came with was just okay. All in all definitely many return visits!

Fun service. We had Vito. The food was delicious. They free pour the wine at your table which is nice. A shot of vodka was $12 a bit pricey. The martini was ok. There’s a nice patio as well. I’ll go back for sure.

Awesome place for dessert! The Cocoa Couture ice cream and French Dark chocolate sauce in anything is fantastic. Try the Summertime Fatness sundae, or just the ice cream with rhe sauce by itself. The serving staff were pleasant and helpful. Plenty of seating when we went on a Saturday evening. Washrooms are in the basement.

First time at Demetres. We ordered the Splitsonian French Crepe and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Each dessert was pretty big and shareable. I really enjoyed the Splitsonian the most. The crepe was well made and there was a lot of fruit outside and within. The cake was good as well but a little on the dense side. The restaurant is also really nicely decorated and I enjoyed the vibes. The servers were attentive and welcoming!

No doubt this location has high ratings and impressive reviews because they deliver. Their biscoff crepe and chocolate cheesecake ice cream are delicious. Rich in flavour and not overly sweet; yet tasty and satisfying! In addition to their desserts, service is extraordinary and friendly. Their customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

This breaks my heart to leave a 3* review for a restaurant that has been a favourite of ours for many years but the quality and taste of the food was not anywhere near what it used to be. The Greek salad though was still amazing. Delicious dressing. The chicken souvlaki meal lacked flavour. The roasted potatoes and rice seemed like they were reheated too often and bland. Chicken was tender but also not as tasty as before. Great garlic bread. My spanakopita meal was disappointing. The spanakopita pastry was hard and not made with filo. Tasted better frozen ones. Served with the flavourless potatoes and rice. Outside patio was nice but not as busy as any other Greek restaurants in the area. It used to be so busy and popular so I guess that should have been our cue to try somewhere else. I really hope they up their quality as their Greek salad is amazing and we would miss it if they weren’t around. Would have given a 2 * but the salad was so tasty.

We visited Kalyvia on the Danforth during Taste of the Danforth and had a really good experience. The street was packed and there was a lot of activity around their outdoor food stand, but we decided to sit down and enjoy our meal on the patio instead. I ordered the Chicken Gyro dinner with rice, potatoes and salad, along with a side of Feta Fries and a cold FIX beer. The chicken was tender, flavourful and there was a generous amount. The rice and potatoes were both well prepared and the salad was fresh. The Feta Fries were also a great addition and definitely worth ordering. Having a Greek FIX beer with the meal was a nice touch and went perfectly with the food, especially on the patio. Considering how busy the Danforth was during the festival, the overall experience was very good. The patio gave us a chance to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and energy happening along the street without being right in the middle of the crowds. Good portions, tasty Greek food and a nice patio experience. I would definitely come back again when I am in the area. Overall, a very good experience. 4 out of 5 stars.

The Best 👌 value for your money 💰 on the Danforth in terms of Greek 🇬🇷 Cuisine. Try the Chicken 🐔 or Pork Souvlaki Dinners 🍽 😋 with Rice 🍚 & Roast Potato 🥔 a Greek Salad 🥗 is included. I like 👍 the large dinner 🍽. Gyros Dinners 🍽 are also extremely popular 👌 you can also get them served on a Pita. The wait Staff are friendly & very accommodating. A nice restaurant on Danforth with a very rustic feel. The food here was very tasty and well portioned and prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly quick and efficient. Unlike most Greek restaurants that serve warm pita, we were served a lightly buttered toasted sesame seed bread and it was delicious.

Great spot for ice cream lovers! La Diperie offers excellent choices in vanilla softy dips with added toppings as well as some really good hard ice cream and sorbet options. They also serve shakes and some good desserts to choose from at a very pocket friendly price. We tried their Dark chocolate vanilla softy dipped in almonds and oreo crumbs and tried a chocolate cone topped with nuts and both were delicious! Surely coming back for more. Update: I've always loved la diperie but now there's a better reason to visit them more often! They've introduced delicious Belgian waffles to their menu that tastes SO delicious. I tried their chocolate chip cookie dough waffle and the molten lava cake one and both were yummy licious!

Nice place, open late (until 1am) if you feel like snacking at night. Tried waffles, presented as Belgian, but they tasted like old bun dough. The ice cream is okay, but looks and tastes a bit like it’s artificially flavored. Chocolate lava cake didn’t have chocolate filling and didn’t “ooze out”, but tasted good though

I'd definitely recommend Sher-e-Punjab! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were really good. We ordered the sizzling plate, lamb saag, and keema naan, and everything was delicious. The sizzling plate came out hot and full of flavor, the lamb saag was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the keema naan was the perfect addition to the meal. The service was friendly and welcoming, and we never felt rushed. Overall, it was a great dining experience with tasty food, generous portions, and excellent service. We'll definitely be coming back!

Deserves way more than 4.4 stars. Been coming here for close to 30 years, and has always been fantastic. Better food here than any I had during the month I spent in India.

The greatest Indian Cuisine I have tried in town so far, with friendly service and welcoming dining environment. The butter chicken was full of flavor, rich but not over creamy, also the chicken was juicy. Lamb was a bit spicy but meat was soft and tasty. There is a wall with special decors which are very attractive. The restaurant is spacious for dining in. Services were great and they attached a lovely postcard with bills. A livery place for enjoying Indian food at Greek Town.

Great Indian restaurant right in the heart of Greek town. The food is high quality and has great flavour. The Sizzling platter is a must have and will probably be enough for two people. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.
