This was my first time dining in at Casa Sushi, and I absolutely loved it! The place is super cute inside, and I was warmly welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. My food came out quickly after ordering, and the waitress was so kind and attentive throughout my visit. Great service, great atmosphere

The food was amazing, me and my friend ordered chicken katsu and it was so crispy. The curry tasted amazing and savoury and it had little delicate carrots and it was delicious. The service was nice and the server was so friendly and the atmosphere was so comfortable. Overall I loved everything!!

I always end up coming here because not a lot of places offer salmon maki rolls (nori outside) like Casa Sushi does. (Thank you!)
Regardless, something I notice every time is that the rolls are continuously falling apart. Perhaps the chef does not roll the sushi firmly enough, or does not apply some wet rice on the perimeter to help it adhere.
The gyoza looked very good but after biting into it I was a bit disappointed because the flavour was just okay. Maybe needed a bit more seasoning.

Ordered the skewer chicken with potatoes and salad.
Food was very bland and the presentation is uninspired. The chicken specifically was cooked fine but didn't have any seasoning or flavour. The salad was okay, but I would have liked more olives on a Greek Salad. More than two.
They also sat us beside the garbage/cleaning supplies area. We were swarmed with wasps the entire time and since they are understaffed (waiters cleaning and serving) there was no one to help out.

We were greeted and seated pretty quickly this afternoon. The food came out fresh, delicious, and cooked well. Service was friendly and no frills. My family and I enjoyed our lunch experience very much and will always be a customer to Astoria, no matter the location! We all got different meat (pork, beef, and chicken) souvlaki and they were all cooked to perfection!

Some issues with the food & prices.
Dined here on August 18, 2025 for lunch.
I ordered 1 chicken kebab and Greek salad. Astronomical price of $25.
Plus the taziqui sauce was hot and spicy and our waitress said that's all it had. I can not imagine giving this condiment to any child. It ruined my meal.
A pork souvaki in a pita was filled with fat. My spouse said it was terrible plus he received all the end pieces of French fries. $16.
What is one to do when you have a lovely motherly waitress who stops by your table at your first bite and you tell her your food is good. Usually its at the second and third bite when you realize your food is crap.
Ps. When we walked in a tall, male was inside picking his nose, he saw us and stopped. We hoped he was a customer, sadly he was not. When we departed he was an employee working on the grill.

Came with a group of friends as they take reservations!
This place was okay. The food took a while to come and the portions did not match the price. It was yummy, but I have gotten better for a more reasonable price at other greek spots :(
The atmosphere was very lively and cozy though! We still had a good time catching up.
There are definitely better greek spots within greektown, but the other ones we wanted to go to do not take reservations*
Truthfully, I would not come again :(

Very disappointed. We drove all the way to enjoy the juicy, thick pieces of chicken souvlaki that Astoria was once famous for—but instead, we got small, dry pieces. Prices have gone up, which we understand, but at least keep the quality for God’s sake! I don’t think we’ll visit again, because we can get that kind of quality anywhere.

The food here is really delicious. Everything tasted super great. Only the salad wasn’t as flavourful or salty as I would have enjoyed, but it was still good and a nice in between dish between appetiser and main meal and was refreshing. Their grilled squid and fried calamari is my favourite thing they have. I enjoy their sausage and biftekia almost as much. Rice and potatoes are well seasoned and have a good texture. The dips are all great and are better than many other places, especially the taramosalata which I find I don’t eat very much of at the other places - here it was the dip I ate the most of. Really tasty and satisfying food that left me feeling good and not too full or heavy. The amount was plenty and I had leftovers for the next day. It’s a great place to go with your family, taking time to enjoy a nice dinner. I really like this place a lot, it’s familiar and is straight up what a Greek restaurant in Toronto is, but done really really well.

The lamb was perfectly cooked and very juicy. Potatoes were good but I wish it came with rice. I usually avoid Grilled calamari and haven't had it in years, but this is highly recommend. You won't be disappointed with the food and service. Reservation are recommend.

Came here on a weekday night and it was still very busy! I ordered the combo for two since we wanted a little taste of everything. I wasn’t disappointed. The highlights for me were the grilled octopus and calamari — both perfectly cooked, soft, and delicious. The spanakopita was also incredibly crispy, flaky, and packed with spinach and cheese. Pantheon really feels like a local jewel in the heart of Danforth, and you can see that through the service. Every staff member treats you like family, and I had a great experience with the servers. Definitely would come back again to try more dishes.

I have been there few days ago and they are very good!! Really worth to go!!
1. Foods are fantastic! Each of the dishes are so fresh!
2. Good services! They want you to tell them if foods are good or not, they want to keep improvements! They will keep you provide water for you! Also they are very considerate!
3. The boss is very generous! I was asking for packing the rest of the food, he gives me extra box of roasted potatoes! Also give me a cake after knowing I am the first time travel here!
Feels like you are one of the member in their family. Fantastic food, good people, fancy dining environments! Thumbs up!

We dined and enjoyed as family. Staffs were courteous, professional, and very pleasant. Decor and atmosphere were within theme. Dining areas were plentiful and clean. No wait times and were directed to our window table. We ordered several dishes from the menu. We got Pork / chicken skewers that come with choice of salads & potatoes. Food arrived quick. We selected greek salad. It had generous amount of feta cheese. Potato fries are ordered with feta cheese or plain. Skewers arrived after. All are in great portions, delicious, very filling, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Staffs checks frequently for anything needed. In the end, we were provided with sturdy take-out containers and paper bags. Overall service, meals, and experience were beyond expectation. We will definitely return again.

I went into Messini’s for the first time in 10 years. It’s the same as when I was there last. Friendly, quick service. Good food. If I am being critical I would note the gyro was slightly dry and the price is on the premium side. Overall, it’s good and I’ll be back.

Had Sunday late lunch there with my friends. We had to wait to get a table for 20 min. Because this place is quite popular, also service is a lit bit slow. Food is delicious and prices are affordable, big portions. Greek salad was amazing, pork gyro - highly recommended !

Such a pleasure dining solo in the patio. The servers were all friendly, helpful and kind. The chicken souvlaki dinner was tender, moist and flavourful. The portions were huge and the potatoes melted in my mouth. Don’t miss the Greek salad! Fantastic.

Lovely Greek restaurant. Very busy place. We arrived at about 5:00 p.m. without any reservations the hostess was very accommodating to us I found this at the seat promptly. Are waiter was very friendly and explain to us our dinner options. The food arrived arrived very quickly considering the restaurant I was very busy. Everything was very delicious and the lamb souvlaki what's cooked to perfection very tender. We ended up going on a Friday night and then again on a Sunday night. When in the area definitely a restaurant you must visit. Friendly friendly customer service and excellent dinner. See you soon.

Have always loved this place. This is my first time at the new location. Beautiful modern vibe. At first I missed the old Greek style vibe but then the servers came by and they are still the same vibe so that felt happy. The food was delicious. Portions were great. Really enjoyed everything.

Great vibe, busy spot. No reservations, but the host was super helpful and got us a table when we needed it. Food took a while, but it was worth the wait. Lamb chops were the standout. The small dip platter with garlic pita was a nice start, and the calamari was fresh. Cocktails were refreshing, and prices were fair. Only downside was the noise—it gets really loud inside—and the waiter didn’t check on us much. Still, overall a solid experience.

Very decent Greek place on Danforth. I’d go back but not ideal for anyone on a tight budget. Very pleasant atmosphere, solid, polite but not overly obsequious wait staff. Fresh ingredients.

Fun service. We had Vito. The food was delicious. They free pour the wine at your table which is nice. A shot of vodka was $12 a bit pricey. The martini was ok. There’s a nice patio as well. I’ll go back for sure.

Delicious appetizers (calamari and arancini), lasagna and pasta were very good, and a nice wine pairing. Wasn’t too busy on a Wednesday night. Sat indoors but plenty of outdoor seating.

First time here, although very familiar with the Danforth and it's many other restaurant options. After being seated, and ordering drinjs, our party waited for about 30 minutes before the server took our food order. The food finally arrived about another 30 minutes later, albeit one dish luke warm. The only other time we saw our server was to collect our dishes and hand us the bill. Any good restaurant would be making extra visits for condiment requests, more drinks, etc. In short, the service was shocking. Saturday night is peak time. A good establishment responds accordingly. Definitely will not be going back.

A relaxed atmosphere that almost feels like you've stepped into Italy, reinforced by the seemingly authentic flavours in each dish. To begin our journey were two plump, tender meatballs stuffed with some cheesy mozzarella and topped with grated parmesan. It has an overall smoother mouthfeel, like a comforting home-cooked meatloaf and is served with a tangy tomato sauce that balances each bite. The seafood medley is brought together in a sea of tangy tomato-based sauce and linguine, creating a heterogenous bite of bay scallops, mussels and shrimp.

We’ve been coming here for over 8 years if not longer and I’m not sure what’s going on but things have been going downhill recently. The portions got smaller and smaller (fine, the cost of food went up), the pastas have become more dry and flavourless and oily, and the service is just bad. If you get there on a busy night you can wait well over an hour for your food which is ridiculous. The servers can’t remember your order, they go
Unfortunately I can’t say that we’ll be back anymore.

No doubt this location has high ratings and impressive reviews because they deliver. Their biscoff crepe and chocolate cheesecake ice cream are delicious. Rich in flavour and not overly sweet; yet tasty and satisfying!
In addition to their desserts, service is extraordinary and friendly. Their customer service is excellent.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

The staff were very attentive and created a welcoming environment. I thought the ambiance was quite pleasant, making for a comfortable visit. My only suggestion would be that the drinks could be improved in terms of their quality or selection. Overall, it was still a good experience, and I would consider returning.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service. As a food reviewer, I usually give normal ratings to restaurants with good food also but here, not only they were super sweet from entry, they ensured, we got nice seats, a cozy environment and enough time to order. Yalda was our service provider and she was simply an angel, from making us feel friendly to suggesting a great dessert. She stopped between a busy day on table to do small talk as well. As a person going to this place for the first time, I can assure you, it wont be the last.
Cant wait to try other recommendations by Yalda in future visits.

Every time I'm craving an indulgent dessert that's as pretty as it is delicious, you'll find me here. The eggy crepe is perfectly thin, with a subtly fluffy, chewy texture that has a springy quality shining with each of the toppings. It serves as a brilliant base for the creamy strawberry ice cream and fresh strawberries, providing a creamy and tart contrast to cut through the richness. As a thoughtful finish, the milky white chocolate sauce adds hints of buttery vanilla while the golden waferettes add a crunchy texture with a mild caramel taste.

The Best 👌 value for your money 💰 on the Danforth in terms of Greek 🇬🇷 Cuisine. Try the Chicken 🐔 or Pork Souvlaki Dinners 🍽 😋 with Rice 🍚 & Roast Potato 🥔 a Greek Salad 🥗 is included. I like 👍 the large dinner 🍽.
Gyros Dinners 🍽 are also extremely popular 👌 you can also get them served on a Pita. The wait Staff are friendly & very accommodating. Order a take out order to go 🚶♂️ 🙌 & it's ready in about 15 to 20 minutes for pickup.
I been coming here for over 25 years.

Our family has been coming here for years! My favourite Greek restaurant on the Danforth. We drive from the Georgian Bay Area to eat here. Incredible salad and souvlaki!!

A nice restaurant on Danforth with a very rustic feel. The food here was very tasty and well portioned and prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly quick and efficient. Unlike most Greek restaurants that serve warm pita, we were served a lightly buttered toasted sesame seed bread and it was delicious.

Kalyvia is my favourite Greek restaurant!
Food:
Fried Calamari appetizer is amazing and my favorite dish to order! Kalyvia has the best calamari I’ve ever had in my opinion! It’s a bit pricey at $25 though.
Large Greek Salad is also tasty and amazing. Large size is great for sharing between two people. I love their Greek Salad dressing and would also buy a bottle of it to take home.
Double Pork Souvlaki Sticks and Double Lamb Souvlaki Sticks are amazing as well! Comes with at least 5 or 6 pieces per stick.
Complimentary Garlic Bread was also very tasty and the best garlic bread I’ve ever had!
I would also recommend their Saganako which is kinda like their Flaming Cheese.
Service:
We arrived at around 5pm and we were the only ones there, but it slowly picked up during our visit. Our server was very friendly and offered their Specials of the Day. Not a huge deal but I was expecting to start off with our salad first but we got our calamari first instead.

Was good 10 years ago. Chicken was below average flavour, while rice was boring and the potatoes were decent. Quality has went down with the decor at the same rate looks like. Won’t be back but service was good

January 31st 2025 at 11:30am - It was a surprise visit to this tea shop for our daughter since she’s never tried halo halo. This was a favourite dessert of mine from the Philippines and I wanted her to try for the first time. We’ve never been to this shop/resto so was pleasantly surprised that there was seating available for a Friday afternoon around lunchtime. The wait for the halo halo was long but expected (if you know you know). Since I knew it was going to take time, daughter had also never tried funnel cake so I ordered that too. Both orders did not disappoint! Very nostalgic to say the least…sigh….to be young again without a care in the world enjoying halo halo in the heat of back home. Let’s just say we didn’t have any leftovers! Lovely elderly couple behind the counter. Will be coming back to try other items on the menu. A highly recommended spot on the Danforth!

After reading the awesome reviews, I needed to experience it myself. Matcha Tea Latte was definitely delicious, creamy and made with almond milk. My friend had the chocolate cake which was delicious and enjoyed coffee with almond milk.
They had plenty of selection of sweets unfortunately they were not dairy free.

This is a great Filipino tea shop that serves a variety of Filipino drinks and desserts, as well as your standard selection of bubble teas.
Halo halo is one of my favourites, and they do it pretty well here. Generous serving of ingredients.
They have a good selection of hot foods as well which are worth coming back for and trying it.
The decor inside is also very cozy feeling, making it a great place to hangout in the evening size they open until 2am.

Been here a few times now and have always been impressed with what I've ordered and with the service received.
There really is something for everyone here. I wanted something warm, parents wanted something cold and fiance wanted something in between. The portions were more than decent! My bowl of soup was filled to the brim and my parents' halo halo was served in a big bowl for easy sharing. I couldn't believe how much ice cream came with the affogato. We were already full but demolished it cause it was so good. I plan to try their meals one day; the table next to us ordered food and the bowls looked huge.
I will always support Filipino businesses but I try to be objective too. This place deserves all the business. If given the choice for tea, dessert, etc I will hands down opt to go here, just on value for money alone.

Nice place, open late (until 1am) if you feel like snacking at night. Tried waffles, presented as Belgian, but they tasted like old bun dough. The ice cream is okay, but looks and tastes a bit like it’s artificially flavored. Chocolate lava cake didn’t have chocolate filling and didn’t “ooze out”, but tasted good though
