The staff here are super sweet and nice. We even asked for a special order and they kindly made it for us. The sashimi here tastes very fresh and the customer service is also amazing. Prices are cheap as well. Would recommend!

This was my first time dining in at Casa Sushi, and I absolutely loved it! The place is super cute inside, and I was warmly welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. My food came out quickly after ordering, and the waitress was so kind and attentive throughout my visit. Great service, great atmosphere

Despite coming with only 5 pieces, the Black Dragon roll makes up for it in its girth and price point that's perfect for a casual solo diner wanting to scratch that sushi itch.

The food was amazing, me and my friend ordered chicken katsu and it was so crispy. The curry tasted amazing and savoury and it had little delicate carrots and it was delicious. The service was nice and the server was so friendly and the atmosphere was so comfortable. Overall I loved everything!!

I can’t begin to describe how amazing the service was. We stayed past closing because some of my guests arrived late due to poor road conditions, and not once were we rushed to order, eat, leave, or settle up. The waiter remained completely friendly with us until the end.
The food came out quickly, and everyone at my table agreed it was some of the best Greek food they’ve ever tasted. The pricing was unbelievable as well—$106 (before tip) for all four of us to eat until we were stuffed.
As for the atmosphere, it was a unique and cozy setting. I ate here a lot as a child, but coming back as an adult made me realize why my father was so fond of this place.
I highly recommend it. This is easily the best dining experience I’ve had in Greektown—or any Greek restaurant, for that matter.

The food was amazing, with great portion. Service was impeccable, the waitress was very nice.
My highlight was definitely the Saganaki, it was delicious! It came with pita bread that was still warm so it paired well with the cheese.
I'd definitely return to try other items from their menu.

We visited Astoria on February 8, 2026. There were 17 of us (2 babies)! We arrived in small groups. Our server, Dina, was amazing. She was patient and very accommodating. She made sure the children were comfortable, one sat right on the table in her chair so that sh could enjoy watching everyone. Dina was wonderful and kept on top of everything. I enjoyed my favourite, which is Mousaka. Our group ordered many different plates. Sorry no photos of the food. Everything was amazing. Dina even brought pitchers of water and pop so that we did not have to wait. Thank you Dina and the kitchen staff for making our visit and our family member's birthday memorable and very enjoyable.

Ordered the skewer chicken with potatoes and salad.
Food was very bland and the presentation is uninspired. The chicken specifically was cooked fine but didn't have any seasoning or flavour. The salad was okay, but I would have liked more olives on a Greek Salad. More than two.
They also sat us beside the garbage/cleaning supplies area. We were swarmed with wasps the entire time and since they are understaffed (waiters cleaning and serving) there was no one to help out.

Family Day lunch with my brother at Pathon on the Danforth and it delivered exactly what you hope for when you walk into a proper Greek dining room — white linens, a busy hum of conversation, and those authentic Danforth Greek gentlemen who somehow run the floor with equal parts efficiency and old-school charm. If you’ve been to the Danforth, you know the vibe. It’s not curated. It just is.
I stuck with the classic chicken souvlaki dinner (small size — and trust me, it’s not small). Started with a Greek salad that was bright and balanced, then the main plate rolled in: tender, fluffy boiled potatoes kissed with oregano, simple rice, perfectly marinated and juicy chicken souvlaki, and tzatziki.
Now, the only note — and I say this with love — the plate deserved about three times the tzatziki. I don’t think asking for more than a tablespoon is greedy. It’s respectful to the chicken. That marinade was clearly done right, and it wants to swim a little.
Finished with a proper espresso, strong and smooth. My brother generously picked up the bill, so I can’t comment on value — but judging by the size of the plate and the quality, it felt right in line with an expert-level Danforth experience.
The small was more than enough for lunch (and I’m not exactly ordering off the kids menu).
Five stars for food; slightly understaffed for the busy business experienced on Family Day.
Classic. Authentic. No nonsense.

The food here is really delicious. Everything tasted super great. Only the salad wasn’t as flavourful or salty as I would have enjoyed, but it was still good and a nice in between dish between appetiser and main meal and was refreshing. Their grilled squid and fried calamari is my favourite thing they have. I enjoy their sausage and biftekia almost as much. Rice and potatoes are well seasoned and have a good texture. The dips are all great and are better than many other places, especially the taramosalata which I find I don’t eat very much of at the other places - here it was the dip I ate the most of. Really tasty and satisfying food that left me feeling good and not too full or heavy. The amount was plenty and I had leftovers for the next day. It’s a great place to go with your family, taking time to enjoy a nice dinner. I really like this place a lot, it’s familiar and is straight up what a Greek restaurant in Toronto is, but done really really well.

The food here was so delicious. I went with one other person and we split the full meal. We had the chicken and the eggplant dip and they were both delicious. The highlight of the meal was the waiters suggestion. He said we should get the grilled calamari and he was 100% right. I will becoming back just for that!

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Pantheon. It has such a cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. The food tasted truly homemade, we ordered the octopus, calamari, and saganaki, and everything was perfectly cooked and full of authentic Greek flavor. You can really feel the tradition and care in every dish.
The new owner has kept the restaurant exactly as it was, preserving its home-style charm and comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they even surprised us with a delicious cake, which made the evening feel extra special.
Such a memorable birthday dinner. We can’t wait to go back!

I have been there few days ago and they are very good!! Really worth to go!!
1. Foods are fantastic! Each of the dishes are so fresh!
2. Good services! They want you to tell them if foods are good or not, they want to keep improvements! They will keep you provide water for you! Also they are very considerate!
3. The boss is very generous! I was asking for packing the rest of the food, he gives me extra box of roasted potatoes! Also give me a cake after knowing I am the first time travel here!
Feels like you are one of the member in their family. Fantastic food, good people, fancy dining environments! Thumbs up!

Impromptu Friday evening dinner at Messini was a great idea.
A 15 minute waiting time till we got a table. The server took the order and it took a bit of time till out food arrived.
The Greek fries are way too good and were highly recommended. We tuckedin readily. The chicken and beef dishes were delicious and perfectly done. Loved the crispy bits the most. The Greek salad was the perfect side. The servings were rather large, although we ate with relish but ended up packing the left overs. We had coffee & ayran after the food which was great.
Definitely going again to try out more on my next visit to Toronto.

We dined and enjoyed as family. Staffs were courteous, professional, and very pleasant. Decor and atmosphere were within theme. Dining areas were plentiful and clean. No wait times and were directed to our window table. We ordered several dishes from the menu. We got Pork / chicken skewers that come with choice of salads & potatoes. Food arrived quick. We selected greek salad. It had generous amount of feta cheese. Potato fries are ordered with feta cheese or plain. Skewers arrived after. All are in great portions, delicious, very filling, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Staffs checks frequently for anything needed. In the end, we were provided with sturdy take-out containers and paper bags. Overall service, meals, and experience were beyond expectation. We will definitely return again.

I went into Messini’s for the first time in 10 years. It’s the same as when I was there last. Friendly, quick service. Good food. If I am being critical I would note the gyro was slightly dry and the price is on the premium side. Overall, it’s good and I’ll be back.

We tried a selection of mezze to start — very good overall, though nothing completely out of this world. The standout for me was definitely the taramosalata, which was creamy and well balanced, especially paired with the warm, fresh pita. That combination was excellent.
We also had the saganaki flambéed with brandy, which was a fun and classic touch. Always nice to see a bit of theatre in the dining room.
For the main, we ordered the moussaka. The portion was huge and very satisfying, served with potatoes, delicious rice, and a fresh Greek salad. A very generous and comforting plate.
Service was great — our server was super nice and helpful, guiding us toward some of their favorite dishes, which we appreciated.
Overall, a solid Greek spot with generous portions and warm hospitality.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Mezes, visiting often when they were still at their old location, so returning to their new space was something I’d been looking forward to- and it did not disappoint. The expanded restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with a warm, lively atmosphere and plenty of room to host gatherings. It’s a fantastic venue if you’re planning an event; the layout feels open, inviting, and perfect for sharing a meal with a larger group.
As for the food, it’s exactly as I remembered- exceptional. The Greek fries are still one of the best around, perfectly seasoned and addictive. The chicken souvlaki remains a favourite: tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The moussaka is rich, comforting, and absolutely to die for. Pairing it all with a cold Greek beer just completes the experience.
Mezes continues to deliver the same quality, hospitality, and delicious dishes that made me fall in love with it years ago. The new space only elevates an already well-loved restaurant. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Beautiful restaurant, newly renovated, we went there for my husbands birthday. Let's just say we were really satisfied with our meals - everything was delicious. We ordered the kalamari (lightly dusted and fried) meal, chicken souvlaki and lamb souvlaki meal. I wanted to order the Saganaki (cheese they put on fire) but we were too full - I did see someone have it and they had to put it on fire near the kitchen, because the folks that ordered it (table next to us) were close to a fire detector - so they had to do it by the kitchen door and everyone turned around to look.

Lovely Greek restaurant. Very busy place. We arrived at about 5:00 p.m. without any reservations the hostess was very accommodating to us I found this at the seat promptly. Are waiter was very friendly and explain to us our dinner options. The food arrived arrived very quickly considering the restaurant I was very busy. Everything was very delicious and the lamb souvlaki what's cooked to perfection very tender. We ended up going on a Friday night and then again on a Sunday night. When in the area definitely a restaurant you must visit. Friendly friendly customer service and excellent dinner. See you soon.

Food 8/10 - had the pork chop, calamari, wine, spicy margarita.
Service 8/10 - attentive for the most part!
Ambiance 8/10 - we could occasionally smell some sort of back up from the washrooms… 🤢 was quite disturbing. I get that it might be out of the restaurants hands… but you gottta fix that asap!!! Outside of the washroom smell issue ambiance was amazing. Love the cozy feel!
One thing I will say… when the bill came and the terminal was passed to me, the lowest tip option is 20% …. And that just really rubs me the wrong way. You’re assuming so much! Left a bad taste in my mouth TBH. Of course I would have left 18% as I always do for this type of service. But Why do you assume everyone will be 20% satisfied with their visit? The fact that’s it’s pre-populated is tacky.

Fun service. We had Vito. The food was delicious. They free pour the wine at your table which is nice. A shot of vodka was $12 a bit pricey. The martini was ok. There’s a nice patio as well. I’ll go back for sure.

A relaxed atmosphere that almost feels like you've stepped into Italy, reinforced by the seemingly authentic flavours in each dish. To begin our journey were two plump, tender meatballs stuffed with some cheesy mozzarella and topped with grated parmesan. It has an overall smoother mouthfeel, like a comforting home-cooked meatloaf and is served with a tangy tomato sauce that balances each bite. The seafood medley is brought together in a sea of tangy tomato-based sauce and linguine, creating a heterogenous bite of bay scallops, mussels and shrimp.

First time at Demetres. We ordered the Splitsonian French Crepe and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Each dessert was pretty big and shareable. I really enjoyed the Splitsonian the most. The crepe was well made and there was a lot of fruit outside and within. The cake was good as well but a little on the dense side. The restaurant is also really nicely decorated and I enjoyed the vibes. The servers were attentive and welcoming!

No doubt this location has high ratings and impressive reviews because they deliver. Their biscoff crepe and chocolate cheesecake ice cream are delicious. Rich in flavour and not overly sweet; yet tasty and satisfying!
In addition to their desserts, service is extraordinary and friendly. Their customer service is excellent.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

We stopped by Demetres on the Danforth for dessert, and while the place was surprisingly empty at the time, the experience was still very positive thanks to the excellent service. The server was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond by helping us carry a stroller up the stairs, which was genuinely appreciated and set a great tone for the visit.
For dessert, we shared two items and both were standouts.
The Pecanchu on a crepe was absolutely delicious. It came with honey vanilla ice cream, oven-baked apple crisp, cardamom crème anglaise, and candied pecans. The combination worked really well — the apples and cinnamon were warm and comforting, the cardamom added a subtle depth, and the candied pecans gave a nice crunch. Everything balanced nicely without being overly sweet.
We also ordered the Cherry Godmother on a waffle, which featured chocolate cashmere ice cream that was rich but not too sweet. The fudge brownies paired beautifully with the black cherry compote, and the slight tartness of the cherries helped balance the sweetness of the Belgian white chocolate. It felt indulgent without being overwhelming.
Overall, Demetres delivered exactly what you want from a dessert spot: well-executed, comforting desserts and genuinely kind service. Even though it was quiet when we visited, the quality of both the food and the hospitality made it a place we’d happily return to for a sweet treat.

The staff were very attentive and created a welcoming environment. I thought the ambiance was quite pleasant, making for a comfortable visit. My only suggestion would be that the drinks could be improved in terms of their quality or selection. Overall, it was still a good experience, and I would consider returning.

The Best 👌 value for your money 💰 on the Danforth in terms of Greek 🇬🇷 Cuisine. Try the Chicken 🐔 or Pork Souvlaki Dinners 🍽 😋 with Rice 🍚 & Roast Potato 🥔 a Greek Salad 🥗 is included. I like 👍 the large dinner 🍽.
Gyros Dinners 🍽 are also extremely popular 👌 you can also get them served on a Pita. The wait Staff are friendly & very accommodating. Order a take out order to go 🚶♂️ 🙌 & it's ready in about 15 to 20 minutes for pickup.

A nice restaurant on Danforth with a very rustic feel. The food here was very tasty and well portioned and prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly quick and efficient. Unlike most Greek restaurants that serve warm pita, we were served a lightly buttered toasted sesame seed bread and it was delicious.

Amazing Greek restaurant! Lots of seating and very nice place for a quiet dinner getaway. It’s in the heart of Greektown and there’s street parking but also a few GreenP lots around the area. We had the Tzatziki dip and the Feta cheese, which came with amazing, warm breads, superb to make small bites and spreads. Moreover, we had the spinach pies (Spanakopitakiya), which were very good, in shapes of mini-Samosas, we also the stuffed vine leaves (Dolmades), which were also delicious. Apart from the feta cheese, the highlight of the evening was the chicken gyros platter, which was out of the world (came with a large salad on the side). We also had their fried cod fish, which was satisfactory. Overall, a great trip and would definitely recommend especially as the prices here are extremely affordable. Thanks!

Home-cooked style, huge portion sizes, reasonable prices. Got the calamari dinner, grilled octopus appetizer, and taramosalata dip - all done well. Calamari and octopus were milky and not rubbery, and the taramosalata was smooth and tasty.
I know there are a bunch of Greek spots on the Danforth. Kalyvia gives off a homey vibe and is definitely good value for money.

January 31st 2025 at 11:30am - It was a surprise visit to this tea shop for our daughter since she’s never tried halo halo. This was a favourite dessert of mine from the Philippines and I wanted her to try for the first time. We’ve never been to this shop/resto so was pleasantly surprised that there was seating available for a Friday afternoon around lunchtime. The wait for the halo halo was long but expected (if you know you know). Since I knew it was going to take time, daughter had also never tried funnel cake so I ordered that too. Both orders did not disappoint! Very nostalgic to say the least…sigh….to be young again without a care in the world enjoying halo halo in the heat of back home. Let’s just say we didn’t have any leftovers! Lovely elderly couple behind the counter. Will be coming back to try other items on the menu. A highly recommended spot on the Danforth!

After reading the awesome reviews, I needed to experience it myself. Matcha Tea Latte was definitely delicious, creamy and made with almond milk. My friend had the chocolate cake which was delicious and enjoyed coffee with almond milk.
They had plenty of selection of sweets unfortunately they were not dairy free.

This is a great Filipino tea shop that serves a variety of Filipino drinks and desserts, as well as your standard selection of bubble teas.
Halo halo is one of my favourites, and they do it pretty well here. Generous serving of ingredients.
They have a good selection of hot foods as well which are worth coming back for and trying it.
The decor inside is also very cozy feeling, making it a great place to hangout in the evening size they open until 2am.

Been here a few times now and have always been impressed with what I've ordered and with the service received.
There really is something for everyone here. I wanted something warm, parents wanted something cold and fiance wanted something in between. The portions were more than decent! My bowl of soup was filled to the brim and my parents' halo halo was served in a big bowl for easy sharing. I couldn't believe how much ice cream came with the affogato. We were already full but demolished it cause it was so good. I plan to try their meals one day; the table next to us ordered food and the bowls looked huge.
I will always support Filipino businesses but I try to be objective too. This place deserves all the business. If given the choice for tea, dessert, etc I will hands down opt to go here, just on value for money alone.

My favorite post workout smoothie place. Staff are always nice and welcoming. My favorite smoothie is papaya and mango. Reasonable price for a fresh fruit smoothie. If available, you can have a choice of milk or Greek yogurt smoothie...yogurt gives it a tart taste but is heartier than milk. A huge selection of teas with or without bubbles and a large selection of desserts with both gluten free gluten filled cookies. Only wish the cookies were a little softer. Small amount of seating but open late. Perfect for a quick tea or treat post workout or post shift. Near the Micheal Garron Hospital.

The service was quick and friendly.
Will definitely be back if I need my cheesecake fix

Loved that they are open late! They were so kind and gave us lots of samples. You can dip your ice cream in a multitudes of chocolates, and everything looked delicious!

Delicious soft serve vanilla ice cream dipped in melted chocolate! A great variety of chocolate flavours and toppings to choose from as well. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Will visit again to try more of the flavours!

Nice place, open late (until 1am) if you feel like snacking at night. Tried waffles, presented as Belgian, but they tasted like old bun dough. The ice cream is okay, but looks and tastes a bit like it’s artificially flavored. Chocolate lava cake didn’t have chocolate filling and didn’t “ooze out”, but tasted good though

Great spot for ice cream lovers! La Diperie offers excellent choices in vanilla softy dips with added toppings as well as some really good hard ice cream and sorbet options. They also serve shakes and some good desserts to choose from at a very pocket friendly price. We tried their Dark chocolate vanilla softy dipped in almonds and oreo crumbs and tried a chocolate cone topped with nuts and both were delicious! Surely coming back for more.
Update: I've always loved la diperie but now there's a better reason to visit them more often! They've introduced delicious Belgian waffles to their menu that tastes SO delicious.
I tried their chocolate chip cookie dough waffle and the molten lava cake one and both were yummy licious!
