Decent place to grab brunch. Unfortunately i had to rate it 2/4 on food just because the chicken and waffles were fairly disappointing. The look of the chicken was suspicious and frankly the dish should be renamed to chicken tenders and waffles since that’s what was given to us. I asked how many pieces of chicken would be served when i placed my order and when the waitress said 2 i expected to see two pieces of chicken thighs like nearly all other restaurants, but i was very disappointed when this arrived. Definitely not worth $19.99. The triple decker reuben was probably the best out of all 3 dishes we ordered. The sausage that came with the big breakfast platter was 1 sausage split to make it look like 2. The restaurant can also improve in their jam options, and butter should always be served alongside pancakes, which was not given. The server was very nice and attentive, frequently refilling our coffee and water. Might come back here to check out their lunch sometime.

I have seen this restaurant for many years.I have just never been in it. This victoria long weekend , my friends and I finally went in and had lunch.
The place was pretty packed. We were seated to I suppose fast.
When the waiter finally came, I was starting to say what I would like to order and when I was in the middle of my sentence all of a sudden He ran off to a different table and left me hanging.
After about 3 or 5 minutes, he returned.
He did apologize and then finally took my order and my friends as well. He brought the cutlery , which was not really clean it had a lot of water stains.
When one of my friends was looking for a water refill , it took a while to get the waiter's attention.
The food was really good.I'll be honest.
I ordered the dessert, which was the seven layer chocolate cake.
I'm sorry to say that the cake was a little dry, and the icing tasted weird.
So the cake itself gets a zero.
When it comes to chocolate cake which I have at every restaurant that I visit if they have it on the menu Of course, I always expect it to be moist and delicious.Unfortunately that was not the case this time.
I will not be returning anytime soon to this establishment.

My family and I have always wanted to try the American style breakfast, and this place just hits the spot. The location was convenient for us as it is nearby our hotel. We had breakfast here for two days in a row.
Absolutely love the retro diner vibe, and the food is delicious too. Big portions and very flavorful, we especially love their maple syrup! The server was attentive and really lovely, making sure that we are enjoying our meal as well as refilling our drinks.
Would love to eat here again next time we visit Toronto.

Really enjoyed this place. Breakfast all day (I came at noon), great service and lovely environment.
You can tell a lot of people really enjoy this bustling place, so be aware of other reviewers that whine about their petty little expectations that don’t get met…
A really cool little diner. Try it out! Be great!

Really enjoyed my visit to Fran's. Great menu, everything tasted amazing and we had a great server. I'll definitely be back!
The big breakfast is good, so is the chorizo hash! Pancakes are fab too!

Here’s your review:
It had probably been over 15 years since I last visited W Burger Bar, so I was curious to see how it held up. I went for dinner first, then returned later for a birthday celebration.
For dinner, I had the brisket burger on a lettuce bun, along with calamari and a Caesar salad. The burger was solid, and the lettuce bun was surprisingly sturdy—more like an actual bun than the usual limp lettuce wrap you’d get at Wendy’s. The Caesar salad was also better than expected, but the calamari was a definite miss. Wouldn’t recommend it.
The place hasn’t changed much, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s cozy, and the service was decent. Later in the night, we came back with a larger group, and our server (who also served us earlier) was incredibly patient. They even brought out a surprise dessert for the birthday boy, which was a nice touch!
Overall, W Burger Bar is a fun spot with interesting burger options. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a casual, no-frills place to grab a bite with friends.

Pretty good dinner experience. We went on a Friday night. Place was packed wall to wall. Making a reservation is always the smart way to do. The service was great and fast. Food was very tasty and good portions. The only flaw I found was the music was pretty loud, me and my companions were almost shouting at each other.

2.50 for a beer and Thursday nights have incredible deals like half price wings or nachos. Can't beat these prices.
The suicide wings are genuinely my favorite wings in the city at the moment - better than St. Louis and Duff's. They're meaty, crispy, and saucy. Suicide and WBB are both incredibly tasty.
I've had the nachos a few times and they're great and a huge portion size for their price. My friends really enjoyed the burgers too. I personally always go for the wings.
Had a lot of good times here with my international friends. The service has always been great. This place is popular for a good reason.
One small criticism is that when there's a big line, it can be awkward walking in and finding a staff member who isn't super busy to let them know about a new group to put on the waiting list. Would be nice to have an organized system such as getting a form near the entrance, filling it out, and waiting for our number to be called.
But that's not a big deal. Easy 5 stars for this place. Recommended!

It's the best nachos restaurant!!! 🤩🌟🌟🌟👍 The nachos I ordered instead of burgers at the recommendation of my friend was really fantastic. Not only did they give me a lot of meat, it was satisfying just to dip it in fresh guacamole and chips. Add guacamole!!! 🥑🥑🥑💪
Unfortunately, wine was not my cup of tea. If I had ordered beer, I would have been more satisfied.

A pitcher for $11 something is all I need. I visited during happy hour and they had some nice deals for $6.50, like sliders or potato skins. 100% worth the visit.

I had an amazing experience at Kinka sushiba. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, with a great variety of options. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. I highly recommend trying Big Prawn Tempura and Spicy Nasu+Tofu! Can't wait to go back!

Very pretty Izakaya style restaurant. Loads of options made super fresh! We ordered multiple plates for 2 people. The portion sizes are quite small so i would recommend at least 5/6 plates for 2 people.
The highlight for me was the Salmon Carpaccio. Highly recommend!

The best Japanese restaurant I have been to! The service was amazing from the second we stepped into the door. The staff created a warm atmosphere and we're very knowledgeable.
The restaurant is very clean. The walls and furniture are very modern and beautiful to view as well!
The food was delicious, we had the calamari and edemomi, the calamari is the best ice have ever had! For dinner we had the assorted sushi and salmon bibimbap! 10/10 all around!

The food was a 10/10 and the drinks were also unique and tasted great. A very fun vibe to this place. Atmosphere lost a star only because it was very loud. But honestly the interior was so cool and welcoming, a definite must-see. The service was top tier too, they made sure to celebrate my husband's birthday in a way that was more comfortable for introverts (without all the crowd singing) and then took a Polaroid picture of us together as a memento for our night 🩷

Tasty Pizza, But Needs Improvement in Service and Hygiene
I recently visited Pizza Pizza and would give them 4 stars. The pizza was tasty, with a good balance of flavors and a nice, crispy crust. It's clear they know how to make a great pizza.
However, there's room for improvement in customer service and hygiene. The staff could be more attentive and friendly, as the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Additionally, the cleanliness of the dining area could be better maintained.
Overall, the pizza is worth the visit, but I hope they work on enhancing the customer experience and cleanliness in the future.

Love coming to this restaurant. My friend and I enjoyed the most phenomenal special for the month of February. I had their coconut shrimp with a curry sauce which was so tasty, that it needs to be on the menu. Please put it on. We had our special waiter, Carl who is knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and so attentive. Whenever we go there the atmosphere is wonderful and everyone is helpful

Fun evening out. Actors did a great job!
Christy H - a month ago
The show was a lot of fun, the actors did a pretty great job. They were funny and engaging. I was really disappointed with the food, I honestly just didn’t think it was worth the value. Also ran into a bit of a mishap regarding a dietary restriction where only some of the ingredients were listed on the dish, and I was told after I had already served myself that a dish I put on my plate had an item I was allergic too. Considering that they asked for my name when I first came in, as well as being notified of my allergy, it probably would’ve been best for them to tell me about this before I served myself. The drinks were really overpriced too, I was pretty surprised that not even soft drinks were included considering the price. The desserts were two bite store bought brownies and cupcakes… If you’re going, just go for the show. The food was just not worth the value. I also went with my partner, he had a fun time.

Quick sushi takeout spot. Standard foodcourt offerings, with slightly better quality, higher prices, and quicker service.

Two stars is me being generous. Tried Sushi on the Run today — not sure if the ingredients were poor, but something was definitely off. The rice was way too heavy and sticky, like swallowing a brick. Nothing really matched in taste or texture. Just barely edible, and definitely not worth the price.

Still the best sushi on the budget in Toronto. I got 2 for $10 because of their end of the day deal! I have been coming back here since 2016!

Courteous, friendly service.
Ordered the Greek salad as take out. It was fresh and tasty. I would however have the dressing on the side next time around. A bit too much for my taste.

Good ingredients, tasty sauce, but needs more protein. The chicken itself was also oddly mushy, kind of like wet paper pulp.
My first time having freshii in years and I have mixed feelings. It's about as decent as j remember, but maybe it's just this location that definitely didn't do the protein right. Also the daily deals are a bit misleading, as the 7.99 price tag doesn't include protein (around 3 extra bucks).

If you like Sushi, then you'll love their Sushi Burrito! Very fresh and the ingredients go extremely well together. Had two this week already!!!

Rolltation is a great fast food restaurant. My review applies to all chains.
While it costs a bit more than other places, the nutrition density is so much higher. The other places also make me feel bloated after eating. At Rolltation, I feel fantastic after eating a Sushi Burrito or Poke Bowl.
Beyond the health benefit, it's simply delicious. There's a good variety of fresh ingredients combined that makes it flavourful. I personally like raw Salmon with Sriracha Mayo.
Biruk Workneh - 8 months ago
We bought them during lunch and had as dinner due to the trip. We ordered 2 dishes, salmon classic poke bowl and karaage rice bowl since they ran out of udon that day. Staffs are friendly and helpful since this is our first try.
The poke bowl sauce, I changed to teriyaki mayo, my daughter loves it so much, we love the fresh taste of fruit with fresh veggies.
My Karaage chicken still good, i had sriracha mayo. Not too spicy but taste flavorful.
Will go back to try other dish when we go to Toronto again.

really yummy packed sushi burrito. they have tons of topping options and the price is reasonable. staff sometimes can be unhappy but in terms of food: really delicious and hearty. i love all the toppings and how it’s rolled so securely. a few notes: i wish the tofu was either crispy, or season better because i find it a bland but it’s protein! and i got the kale noodle salad and unfortunately there was too much seasoning. other than that, love the sushi burrito and it will always be my go to snack!

This a great place is you want to get your health on!
All good options here are reasonably healthy and they offer different things like rolls, salads and rice dishes.
My friend and I opted for build-your-own bowls and salad with salmon and tuna.
The serving size was decent, and reasonably priced.
We also ordered six takoyaki on the side. While not the best, they were definitely yummy.

Was about to go down to catch our TTC and happened to see this place. We thought hey, let's go upstairs at Fran's and have a drink. We walked in and the stairs quickly told us that this was NOT Fran's. We had found the Rooftop Bar. So glad we stopped in. They have a nice selection of drinks, great staff and a welcoming venue. Good sense of humor with some things around the bar and nice daily specials/happy hour deals.

Visited Fran’s Rooftop Bar for breakfast before starting a road trip. We arrived just as they opened, and the views were absolutely amazing. The ambiance was great, making for a pleasant morning setting.
The service was attentive; our server was quick to meet all our needs. We ordered the classic breakfast, Benedict, and chicken and waffle. While nothing particularly blew us away, everything was solid and met our expectations.
Portions were generous and the prices were reasonable, which we really appreciated. Overall, Fran’s Rooftop Bar is a fantastic breakfast spot in Toronto for a weekend meal, especially if you’re looking for a place with a homey feel, tasty food, and great decor.

Not bad but very expensive for the quality/quantity of food. The servers were nice but were quite forgetful and gratuity was mandatory. The summer passion cocktail was DELICIOUS but everything else was edible but the taste did not reflect the cost. We got seated at a table by the edge of the rooftop and the mister didn’t reach our table so we were very very hot where we were sat. I got the B Mac Sliders trio and they were quite dry which was disappointing. The waitress also suggested that I get fries with my burger which also ended up being very dry. Overall it was disappointing because my boyfriend and I wanted to go to one nice place and spend a bit of money for once and it ended up being overall not that good.

This is a good place for a happy hour as it has decent prices, such as beers for 6 50 until 8 pm, and good food (I recommend the chicken fingers and the nachos). It is very warm, which I like, but some people complain about it. It has a very nice street view and during the summer they open the windows.
