4 Star Rating Consistently good food and service. It's a bit loud for my liking but it is meant to be more of a bar/drinks place. The roast chicken dish is expensive but definitely worth it. It comes with the best potatoes I have ever tasted. Super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

4 Star Rating Came here for summerlicious dinner. Appetizers were fantastic. We got the chorizo dish and the salmon poke. Although the poke wasn't completely too my palette, the burst of flavour and uniqueness made me enjoy it. Chorizo was great too. I also got the calamari. The tomato aioli was phenomenal with it. The calamari itself was extremely tender and well battered. Main were good. I felt that the steak was cooked almost perfectly. Salmon could've been cooked a bit better but to be fair it's hard when you have to pan sear it.

5 Star Rating Great deals on wine!! 1/2 price bottles Monday to Wednesday!! Plus the food is pretty great also. Definitely a from scratch place. The flavours are not “out of the park” unique or flavourful, but decent. Almost here is great and always a busy, lively place. Try it out!!

5 Star Rating What an amazing dinner!! It was fantastic from beginning to end. Service was attentive and friendly, made great suggestions. Cocktails and wine selection were great. We had a blast playing while waiting for the food. We went big and chose the tasting menu, of course we couldn’t finish it but no regrets!! (We had a wonderful breakfast next day)

3 Star Rating Prices are too high even for downtown area. The variety of options is large, so I expected some incredible dining experience from steaks. The NY steak was great and it was actually too much for me, so I shared that one. The "Fillet" steak was too small, but both of them were spicy. I loved that, but there is no sign of warning about spices in menu and my friend has some problems with stomach, so she didn't eat much of those. "Finest veggies" that come with steaks were just roasted peas and carrots(no signs of that in menu as well). The staff is friendly and quick. There is no view at all and the design isn't original. So I can't see any excuses about high costs.

5 Star Rating This is the best breakfast I've ever ordered. Seriously. I've tried so many breakfast places over the years and they always mess up the home fries (dry) or the bacon (burnt). However the ones I got at Fran's were crispy and delicious and the bacon was well cooked but still soft and yummy. I ordered the big breakfast and bottomless coffee. It was very filling and the pancakes that came with it (not pictured because I vacuumed them rapidly) were huge and very fluffy and moist. The eggs, sausage, and bread that came with it were also perfection. Coffee was delicious too. The waitress that served me was kind and well mannered, definitely deserves a raise. Overall a great 1950's diner experience with great atmosphere and endless breakfast options. If you haven't tried this place yet you need to. It's an experience you can't miss!

5 Star Rating This is without a doubt the best or one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The pancakes are very fluffy and when paired with the incredible syrup they serve you they’re to die for. The rest of the breakfast from the sausage to the eggs also tastes great especially the home fries. Service is also quick and the atmosphere gives off the right vibes for a classic diner. The meal prices are also great especially when you consider the location and how good the food is. All in all I can’t recommend Frans more.

But somehow in busy time or friday night they might rush you and somehow your order is delayed. Another problem is when you ask your order they cannot tell how is it going. by the way the price is affordable. Also, Nachos is very good.I really recommend Beer PBR pitcher. it's so good and cheap. you cannot find any bar in this area with this price.

4 Star Rating Food - The menu features your typical pub fare, and our choice of Blt sliders and loaded potato skins didn't disappoint. While not reaching the heights of culinary greatness, both dishes were satisfyingly good. Service - The servers were pleasant and amiable, going the extra mile to correct my order when it was initially wrong. Their responsiveness and willingness to make things right were commendable. Ambiance - Situated near College Station, the establishment offered ample seating, including a patio area. The atmosphere was clean, adorned with the classic bar decor—lots of wood, sports streaming on TV, and a dimly lit ambiance, creating the quintessential pub experience.

2 Star Rating The pricing, ambiance, and service were commendable. However, I regret to report that the food fell short of expectations; the bun was burnt, the fries had an oil odor, and the beer and shot tasted diluted, akin to water. Additionally, our experience was marred by dirty glasses and a broken pitcher. These issues require attention and improvement for a more satisfying dining experience.

5 Star Rating Still going strong, this place broke open the izakaya scene in Toronto, and doesn't disappoint. The food is the standout, but the Japanese inspired cocktails are excellent, and service is attentive and cheerful, it's all wrapped up in a spectacular dining room that's cosy and casual, like dining in an upscale barn. Order the miso black cod, tuna and salmon tataki, shrimp tempura, chicken karaage, beef short ribs, and one of the bibimbap options for a full tour dinner. Can always sit at the bar as walk in. Value for money:  4/5 - relatively on the value side for a downtown restaurant. They often have specials. Recommendation:   4/5 - This izakaya deserves a visit if you are in the area. Try the oshizushi and the giant Sapporo mug. The dishes are meant to be shared with others. 3 Star Rating Standard pub with classic pub fare but food comes out quite slow. Joey is a great server, especially when the place is understaffed. Food is not bad in terms of flavour but is never quite hot enough, maybe because of their timing issues and it's just sitting on the pass (telltale sign being the plate is hot but the food is not).

4 Star Rating We made our Sick kids trip into a mini vacation. This place popped up as the first chose place for burgers and pizza. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Hottest greeted us and found us an excellent spot where we could watch the Toronto/Detroit game. Waiter was great. Interactive with the kids. Food was amazing. Kids had a burger with fries, kids were not willing to share a bite of their burger but their fries were excellent. I had a chicken kale pot pie with pub salad. Highly recommend. My husband had a pizza, and the dough is made with a Polish recipe. This brought memories of the last time I was in Poland, and the pizza was excellent. What we really liked is that on Wednesdays they give discount for first responders. Me being a nurse and my husband a firefighter, we both were very impressed seeing this. Marked this spot in our Google maps as a place to return to the next time we are down.

4 Star Rating This was a fun experience, but it was overpriced and I’ve been to much better productions. The actors were very animated and did a good job, the interaction with the audience was cute. Too much with the puns, it got exhausting. The murder mystery seemed very disorganized not really well written, there was not enough interaction with the characters because they talked so much and dragged the plot out way too long. The food was ok but the desserts/fruit were terrible! They basically bought cupcakes and brownies from Walmart which the hotel ought to be embarrassed. The Buffett was nice but again way overpriced for what they served. Also I felt really rushed through the dinner . I think it’s ridiculous that you had to pay for pop. We had fun, but I would not book this again for the price I paid.

5 Star Rating We (couple) opted out of the buffet dinner, we caught a glimpse of it on the way in, looked like your basics pasta, potatoes, chicken and salmon covered in cream sauce. Instead we popped into the Old Spaghetto Factory and walked the 25 mins or so up Younge St. We sat at a round table with 8 others who also opted out of the dinner. The seats are very close together and the water glasses were dirty (lipstick stains) but there was a ballot with your characters on it, pens and paper on the tables for us. There was a mini bar you could buy drink tickets and cocktails etc around $10/$12 each. Bartender was rude and didn't smile. Then out come these 6 characters, dressed up in costume and 100% in character the entire time. They were FANTASTIC and made us all feel welcome and even asked a lot of us to say a line or play a part. At the end of the 2ish hours you make your guess as to "whodunnit" and if you guess the right character and motive you could win a little prize. The show was awesome, lots of puns. There were some children who seemed a tad bored. They recognized everyone for their special events which was nice (our anniversary of dating). Overall the actors rocked the show and I'm glad we saved some $$ opting out of the buffet.

We had to get the wait staffs attention in order to get drinks. The show was entertaining and the acting was good. It’s a very unique and intimate experience, the actors come around and sit at each table in character and interact with the guest. Some guest get asked to participate by contributing a line or two.

5 Star Rating (Please note some sushi was eaten before picture was taken!) This was honestly some of the best tasting sushi that I could find at such an affordable price! During the time I went (i.e., weekday evening, around 6 PM), Sushi On The Run had a BOGO Free promo. So I was able to buy two sets for ~$14! The sushi is very clean tasting, and the fish is nice and fresh. The ratio of rice to fish and other ingredients is really nice, unlike some supermarket sushi that gives too much rice. I would definitely recommend this as a great pick if you want sushi for a budget, especially if the BOGO free offer is on!

My first time having freshii in years and I have mixed feelings. It's about as decent as j remember, but maybe it's just this location that definitely didn't do the protein right. Also the daily deals are a bit misleading, as the 7.99 price tag doesn't include protein (around 3 extra bucks).

We also ordered the Spicy Habanero Karage which was alright if you have a craving, but certainly not the best we've had.
