4 Star Rating This establishment evokes the ambiance of a well-preserved, classic dining experience. While exhibiting its 85-year history, the restaurant maintains a clean and well-maintained environment. Their menu features traditional fare such as meatloaf and liver and onions. I sampled the ribs, which were satisfactory, although I prefer less sauce. The mashed potatoes, however, lacked sufficient heat. Pricing is competitive, and our server provided exceptional service; unfortunately, we did not obtain his name.

3 Star Rating Decent place to grab brunch. Unfortunately i had to rate it 2/4 on food just because the chicken and waffles were fairly disappointing. The look of the chicken was suspicious and frankly the dish should be renamed to chicken tenders and waffles since that’s what was given to us. I asked how many pieces of chicken would be served when i placed my order and when the waitress said 2 i expected to see two pieces of chicken thighs like nearly all other restaurants, but i was very disappointed when this arrived. Definitely not worth $19.99. The triple decker reuben was probably the best out of all 3 dishes we ordered. The sausage that came with the big breakfast platter was 1 sausage split to make it look like 2. The restaurant can also improve in their jam options, and butter should always be served alongside pancakes, which was not given. The server was very nice and attentive, frequently refilling our coffee and water. Might come back here to check out their lunch sometime.

5 Star Rating Classic mid century diner with a few contemporary style upgrades. Clean, friendly and has marvelous servers. Never had a wrong order, poor service or been unhappy with the food at Fran's. Never even heard of anybody having a bad experience at Fran's! A surviving long time Toronto landmark. The eggs Benedict section of theenu is my favourite. Yes a whole section dedicated to eggs benedict awesomeness. Gaaaah (drooling) the hollandaise sauce is on point and never stingy with it. Portions are perfectly adequate without being wasteful. The orange juice is freshly squeezed in house. Tip your wait staff well! They're on their feet all day for your service so show them some respect and appreciation for that. They never stop moving here and it's often busy. The rooftop terrace restaurant is a nice option for brunch with the crew,or someone special. An interesting view of the neighborhood from the terrace. Nice covered sidewalk patio but I side is the mid century decor and I enjoy that vibe most. Polished stainless steel and colourful bankette seating and the essential funky table top surfaces of old. Best diner in DT Toronto and one of the best I've ever found. Been coming here since I was a teenager. Hasn't changed much at all. One of those happy constants. Truly a Toronto landmark. Just mention you're in the area and hungry and friends say "no. No. Go to Fran's and have the Monte Christo." 🙂 I almost unfailingly opt for the eggs Benedict, but there's never been a bad meal served at Fran's. The burgers are wonderful too. And yes so is the Monte Christo. 😉

4 Star Rating Novel selection of proteins, and good prices for downtown! The service was great. They have a patio and the inside was clean. I think their burgers could get to the next level with a solid bun, but that's just me being super critical. This is a solid spot, and I recommend it.

4 Star Rating Here’s your review: It had probably been over 15 years since I last visited W Burger Bar, so I was curious to see how it held up. I went for dinner first, then returned later for a birthday celebration. For dinner, I had the brisket burger on a lettuce bun, along with calamari and a Caesar salad. The burger was solid, and the lettuce bun was surprisingly sturdy—more like an actual bun than the usual limp lettuce wrap you’d get at Wendy’s. The Caesar salad was also better than expected, but the calamari was a definite miss. Wouldn’t recommend it. The place hasn’t changed much, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s cozy, and the service was decent. Later in the night, we came back with a larger group, and our server (who also served us earlier) was incredibly patient. They even brought out a surprise dessert for the birthday boy, which was a nice touch! Overall, W Burger Bar is a fun spot with interesting burger options. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a casual, no-frills place to grab a bite with friends.

5 Star Rating Went there for the lunch special with my boyfriend on our day in Toronto, and all the hype and reviews you read online about a super delicious, and awesomely cheap lunch specials is are accurate. The boyfriend and I both got the smash burger lunch special, and bar none they were some of the best burgers we've ever had. To the point that months later, we're still talking about them, and we specifically stop in for lunch any time we're in Toronto for the day.

5 Star Rating Pretty good dinner experience. We went on a Friday night. Place was packed wall to wall. Making a reservation is always the smart way to do. The service was great and fast. Food was very tasty and good portions. The only flaw I found was the music was pretty loud, me and my companions were almost shouting at each other.

5 Star Rating 2.50 for a beer and Thursday nights have incredible deals like half price wings or nachos. Can't beat these prices. The suicide wings are genuinely my favorite wings in the city at the moment - better than St. Louis and Duff's. They're meaty, crispy, and saucy. Suicide and WBB are both incredibly tasty. I've had the nachos a few times and they're great and a huge portion size for their price. My friends really enjoyed the burgers too. I personally always go for the wings. Had a lot of good times here with my international friends. The service has always been great. This place is popular for a good reason. One small criticism is that when there's a big line, it can be awkward walking in and finding a staff member who isn't super busy to let them know about a new group to put on the waiting list. Would be nice to have an organized system such as getting a form near the entrance, filling it out, and waiting for our number to be called. But that's not a big deal. Easy 5 stars for this place. Recommended!

5 Star Rating I absolutely love the atmosphere here, it's live and energetic. The food is so delicious and very well presented. This place is great for date nights or any night for that fact. Prices are a touch high but well worth it for the quality and service. The kitchen staff are very friendly too. We had the Takowasabi, Salmon tataki, Veg miso, Ebimayo, Unagi bimbimbap, Marinated jelly fish, Jap pancake, Miso short rib, and the Salmon fish and chips. What a great night. I would definitely come again if I ever visit Toronto again. I’m from the West Coast. I recommend this place to anyone who loves izakya. Awsome izakaya place!

5 Star Rating Popular izakaya in Toronto—worth making a reservation! It was my first visit, and my friend and I ordered lots of food and drinks. The happy hour menu offers great value and lets you try a variety of small plates. The sushi was tasty, especially the shrimp and eel, though the rice fell apart a bit. Truffle fries had the biggest portion, and the beef udon was super chewy and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were a surprising standout!!! So delicious! It’s a bit noisy and the table space is limited, but overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

5 Star Rating This Kinka Izakaya is the original location and my first time visiting. This restaurant blew me away with how delicious, authentic and varied their Japanese dishes were! The restaurant itself is sleek in Japanese design, with dark wood and metal furnishings. The staff and service are second-to-none! Our lovely waitress was prompt, kind, and so attentive! She would clear a plate as soon as we were done. The food here was amazing! We got a variety of dishes. I got their Assorted Sashimi plate, Takoyaki, and a Neko Damashi Mocktail. The mocktail came in the cutest cat mug! The sashimi was some of the freshest I’ve ever had, with scallops, yellowtail and salmon. The Takoyaki was flavourful and fluffy. My fiancé got their Curry Cheese Bibimbap, and the Tokyo Truffle Fries. The Bibimbap was so rich and luscious, and the truffle fries were so flavourful! They came with a teriyaki dip and were absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere here is pretty popping, with sake bombs and birthday celebrations galore. It can get very loud, so don’t be surprised if you have to yell to talk! Their outdoor patio is a quieter option if you request it. I would also recommend getting a reservation if you have a larger group. I will definitely be returning for more. The food and service were all outstanding. There’s so many more dishes I’d like to try!

4 Star Rating Tasty Pizza, But Needs Improvement in Service and Hygiene I recently visited Pizza Pizza and would give them 4 stars. The pizza was tasty, with a good balance of flavors and a nice, crispy crust. It's clear they know how to make a great pizza. However, there's room for improvement in customer service and hygiene. The staff could be more attentive and friendly, as the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Additionally, the cleanliness of the dining area could be better maintained. Overall, the pizza is worth the visit, but I hope they work on enhancing the customer experience and cleanliness in the future. THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW

Nachos were good though smaller than I’d expected for the price. Cannot go wrong with any pizza choice though. Service was excellent and the beer selection is solid!

3 Star Rating Employees were kind and polite. Due to some health issues, I haven’t eaten at a Freshii about five years, but it seems that I paid significantly more money for significantly less salad (custom-built salad). Not sure if this is an inflation thing, a Toronto thing, or a Freshii thing; regardless, I don’t feel that what I got was worth the steep price. The produce itself was fresh and satisfactory. Customers will want to note that this location does not have a bathroom available for customers.

5 Star Rating Rolltation is a great fast food restaurant. My review applies to all chains. While it costs a bit more than other places, the nutrition density is so much higher. The other places also make me feel bloated after eating. At Rolltation, I feel fantastic after eating a Sushi Burrito or Poke Bowl. Beyond the health benefit, it's simply delicious. There's a good variety of fresh ingredients combined that makes it flavourful. I personally like raw Salmon with Sriracha Mayo.
