Me and my boyfriend had heard so much about this diner and we finally got a chance to try it and it did not disappoint! The food was high quality, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. We loved the Canadian Benedict and Maple Leaf as breakfast, and their amazing coffee. The cheesecake with strawberry syrup was also delicious. Lauren was our server and she was extremely attentive and nice even though they were busy we felt very taken care of regardless. The interior feels vintage and warm. Overall it was a great experience, I can see why so many people have recommended this place to us!

I visited Fran’s Restaurant and Bar on July 19, 2024, and I still remember how satisfying the meal was. The restaurant had a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and despite being busy, it felt clean, welcoming, and well organized. I ordered the whole rotisserie chicken with rice and mixed vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken came out perfectly roasted with crispy, golden skin and tender, juicy meat that was flavorful all the way through. It was one of those simple meals done right. The rice was fluffy and paired perfectly with the chicken, while the vegetables were fresh and cooked just enough to keep their texture and natural sweetness. What I appreciated most was the generous portion size and the quality of the food. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you could tell that care went into preparing the meal. It was comforting, filling, and worth every penny. I would gladly come back again whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent breakfast at Frans. I ordered the braised beef benedict, and it tasted really good. The beef was tender, the sauce was balanced, and the whole dish came together nicely. The coffee was excellent too—rich, smooth, and a perfect match for the meal. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff kept things moving even when it got busy. Lines can get long at peak times, but the staff handle it well. The prices are a little high for breakfast, but the quality, flavor, and service make it worth it. I also had a cup soup as well, but it was a little bland, so I would recommend sticking to the traditional breakfast entrees. In spite of the small issues Frans is still a great choice for a tasty, well‑made breakfast. I would have breakfast here again.

so good! we came here 3 times while on our trip to toronto since it was just a short walk from our hotel, and the food was great each time! the ambience is lovely, and it was a nice place to just eat and hang out. the breakfast tots were the best thing ever

Took the kids here on a Tuesday night and it was exactly the kind of low-key dinner we needed after a long day. The pasta special was genuinely delicious and both my children cleared their plates without complaint, which is basically a miracle. The staff were warm and patient with us, never making us feel rushed even though the little one kept dropping her fork. We will definitely be coming back, it just has that relaxed neighbourhood feel that makes a weeknight dinner actually enjoyable.

Finally a place selling good burgers for a normal price! $9 full sized pure beef burger in downtown Toronto is a find considering most are $18-25 these days. Oh and they have beer for $2.25. Sure it’s PBR, but it’s still cold beer for a couple of bucks. Nice staff, clean place and amazing prices. Definitely will be going back.

Food was awesome. I loved my burger. But holy crapy! Service was awful. Waiter was rude and condescending. Couldn’t get service until 30 minutes later. He was more interested in FLIRTING with the others, and watching the FIFA game. He needs to seriously take his job more SERIOUSLY. Did not deserve TIP. W BURGER?? more like L burger Atmosphere was fun and prices are not bad. Especially for downtown. would definitely come back 6 or 7 /10 overall

I really like the atmosphere at W Burguer Bar. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy good food. The food is delicious, the cocktails are very well made, and the beer is always ice cold. On top of that, the prices are very affordable. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it!🍔🍺✨

Kind of a small place but really good aervice and food choices. Love the wild burgers and alcohol veriety... my absolute love is the kangaroo burger. Bison tasted like a normal top-tier burger Elk tasted more earthy, like a bottom feeder seafood. Boar is more like a fatty tasty pork shawarma. Kangaroo is like spiced lamb with a taste of beef.

The place is really good. The food is great, house drinks also on point. They have a great value for happy hour hours. The carbonate truffle upon was the highlight of the day, really great and well balanced option. I also recommend trying the sake with mapple tea.

Kinka Original is one of those restaurants I genuinely want to love. The vibe is great, the energy is fun, and I’ve had good experiences there before. But as a vegetarian, the menu starts to feel pretty limiting after a couple of visits. There are like 1-2 vegetarian appetizers (1 just being sauteed rapini), but for mains, there’s really only one actual choice: the kinoko cheese bibimbap. And it’s good, but after you’ve had it once or twice, it starts to feel like the restaurant has already decided what you’re eating before you even sit down. I don’t expect every restaurant to have a huge vegetarian menu, especially at an izakaya, but having only one main option makes it hard to come back often. Part of going out is getting to choose what you’re in the mood for. Otherwise, it doesn’t really feel like much of a dining experience. I say this because I do like Kinka (I've celebrated my birthday here). It has a great atmosphere and I would happily come back more often. I just wish there were a few more vegetarian mains so it felt a little more inclusive. It really wouldn’t hurt the menu, and it would make a big difference for people who still want to enjoy the restaurant without feeling like an afterthought. Just to be clear: I don’t hate people for eating meat, and this isn’t coming from a place of judgement at all (see my friend ordering agedashi tofu while sitting across). I’ve personally never eaten meat for religious reasons, so I can only speak from my own experience as someone who still wants to enjoy places like this with friends.

The service was friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was modern and lively while still being easy to have a conversation, and the menu was interesting. I had the Karaage Udon soup, and we also shared the Beef Ribs and Salmon Tataki, along with a Choya Umeshu and Sake Apple Cider. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful and the prices are not too bad considering the location.

The food was decent, but unfortunately it didn’t feel worth the price. The portions and quality didn’t quite match the cost. However, the service was excellent—staff were very friendly, attentive, and made the overall experience pleasant. Because of the great service, I’d still consider coming back and hoping the food improves to match the price point. 🙂

I absolutely love the atmosphere here, it's live and energetic. The food is so delicious and very well presented. This place is great for date nights or any night for that fact. Prices are a touch high but well worth it for the quality and service. The kitchen staff are very friendly too. We had the Takowasabi, Salmon tataki, Veg miso, Ebimayo, Unagi bimbimbap, Marinated jelly fish, Jap pancake, Miso short rib, and the Salmon fish and chips. What a great night. I would definitely come again if I ever visit Toronto again. I’m from the West Coast. I recommend this place to anyone who loves izakya. Awsome izakaya place!

I’m a pizza expert on YT and I did a video review about the vegan pizza options here… first off there’s not many good choices around that offer consistency. As far as vegan cheese goes, it’s pretty standard and sticks to your mouth and teeth. The fake meat options though, were surprising. See more in my video review.

Excellent menu options and great value for the price! The server (I think his name was Carlos) helped us get our food quickly. The portions were so generous that one of us had trouble finishing. My only recommendation would be to make sure to heat up the food simultaneously so that it all comes out hot at the same time.

Tasty Pizza, But Needs Improvement in Service and Hygiene I recently visited Pizza Pizza and would give them 4 stars. The pizza was tasty, with a good balance of flavors and a nice, crispy crust. It's clear they know how to make a great pizza. However, there's room for improvement in customer service and hygiene. The staff could be more attentive and friendly, as the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Additionally, the cleanliness of the dining area could be better maintained. I had lunch at Pogue Mahone this past Easter Sunday on my way back from Easter Mass. My Smash Burger Platter and side salad were fresh and delicious. But it's the service I got that made it a great experience. Osher was alone serving all customers but she was amazing : cool, calme, collected. Professional and pleasant. And I must say, her smile can melt an iceberg. I know it's her work to be nice to her customers but she is genuine, the real deal. Thanks Osher, see you again soon!

We had a great experience here! The food and drinks were both excellent, and the highlight for me was the seating area along with the dim, cozy ambiance—it really added to the overall vibe. Service was a bit slow, but that was understandable since our group was quite large. Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit, and we’ll definitely be coming back soon!

A great pub for a quick bite to eat or drink after work or while enjoying your day off. Great offerings on their daily happy hour menu. Our server LiLi was amazing. She was friendly, attentive and offered many options when we couldn't make up our minds. We are looking forward to our return visit.

This was a great night with good food, a fun interactive show and lots of laughs! Mysteriously Yours did a great job of keeping the audience connected and involved, with several guests getting short lines/jokes to say as part of the show. The actors were friendly and very upbeat, keeping the show moving and interesting. We had a great night! My only complaint was the price of refreshments - ABSURD!! $8.50 for a can of ginger ale!!! Not a case of 12, ONE CAN!! A round of drinks for 6 people (one being a pop) was $115!!! That's ridiculous!!! I believe that's the venue (Chelsea Hotel), not necessarily M.Y. The show was wonderful though!!! 5* for the actors!!!

A fabulous dinner experience. You will leave satisfied not so much by the food (nothing extraordinary, though I tried just the vegetarian options in the buffet) but the joy of witnessing a Sherlock-ian mystery unfold over 2 hours. You actually get to follow the clues, guess whodunnit anf get rewarded if you're right. Make sure to let them know if you're celebrating your anniversary, birthday etc. They'll be acknowledging every such instance in a nice little way.

Good experience, food is okay at best. Since it’s called dinner and theatre, I would expect a little more. Drink service was very slow. We had to get the wait staffs attention in order to get drinks. The show was entertaining and the acting was good. It’s a very unique and intimate experience, the actors come around and sit at each table in character and interact with the guest. Some guest get asked to participate by contributing a line or two.

Sushi place on your way into and out of college station. Pretty thick sashimi slices and rice to meat ratio is really good, also large portion of miso soup that was pretty good. A semi-large selection of take-out types and perfect for quick lunch.

This sushi restaurant delivered an excellent experience from start to finish, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented rolls that tasted just as good as they looked. The fish was incredibly fresh and very high quailty. The prices were also very fair and good. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and very welcoming. The staff here also are very friendly, patient, and kind! Their services are truly amazing, making this place a must-visit for anyone who loves sushi! Truly a 5 star place.

If you’re looking for some cheap sushi, this is for sure a go to. The rolls were decent but the nigiris doesn’t taste too fresh. But for 11.99 buy one get one free, what can you expect? The food at the price is very good in my opinion. In conclusion, go for the rolls, skip the nigiris.

Fresh and delicious! The chicken was incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned, probably the best chicken I had at a fast food salad place in a while, also the tortilla crisps were so good and the combination of ingredients was just right. Love the nice look of the place and there is good tables to sit nearby if meeting friends. Will be back for sure.

Fantastic location - very convenient once entering the building on the ground floor. Food is super healthy and service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend for the chicken bowl and smoothie! There are also seating places both in the shop and the lobby.

So fresh and flavourful! The avocado toast was simple but done right, and the smoothies tasted like summer in a cup. Loved the Tropic one with coconut and mango! Super quick, clean space, and perfect for a healthy grab-and-go lunch. Definitely coming back.

Really great restaurant inside of the Holiday Inn Downtown!! Food was delicious, great service & really nice dinning!! Had the lobster & shrimp ravioli, which was amazing!! And my grandmother really enjoyed her club sandwich!! Highly recommend the Bailey's Coffee as well!!

We were staying at the hotel at this location and decided to try Thirty Restaurant and Lounge. We were pleasantly surprised!! Dinner was absolutely delicious. My husband's steak was tender and cooked to perfection. My Lobster and Shrimp Rigatoni was flavourful and delightful. Highly recommend. Prices are also fair and portions are large.

Got invited to one of my friend’s wedding reception yesterday and I was already so excited for them but the food made the night even more special! We started with a variety of appetizers, salads, and snacks. The salad was well seasoned and surprisingly delicious. The wings were super juicy and paired perfectly with the creamy white dipping sauce. We also had some pizza, and the crust was perfectly crispy with lots of gooey cheese. My favourite was definitely the mushroom pizza it was so rich and flavorful! One of the standout dishes was the creamy mushroom chicken (I can’t remember the exact name). The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy. We were each supposed to get one piece, but there were extras, so I grabbed a second one cuzzzz it was just that good. The sauce made it even better! We also had two different types of pasta. Both were cooked perfectly not overdone at all with a nice chewy texture. My favourite was the green pasta, which I believe is their signature dish, and now I totally understand why. It was packed with flavor! Everything we had was delicious, and I’d definitely come back for the mushroom pizza and signature pasta while trying more of their menu. It was such a wonderful evening celebrating with amazing people, delicious food, and lots of love. ❤️

The food is absolutely delicious, and the owners were incredibly friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. I think I've walked by this place before and it was always empty inside so I never felt tempted to try it. But this past weekend, a friend mentioned that she's been here twice in the last two days and it's actually really good, so we went here as a big group of 7 to have lunch after the TCS marathon. My bf and I shared the meal for two, and it was actually so filling and really delicious. It didn't seem like a lot of food but the pasta (bolognese) was quite substantial due to the size and length of the noodles. The pizza (mushroom) was my favourite of the meal, with an unbelievably crispy bottom crust but the top is fluffy and bready. They call it Romano pizza which I've never heard of, but it's really good I guess! The Caesar salad was what you'd expect (i.e. good). For $38, I think this was a great deal, especially considering how full we were and we didn't feel the need to order more food later. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for pasta or pizza, and I'd even be down to try their paninis if they're as good as the pizza. The food somehow came out super quick (that's one of their slogans lol) so we honestly only waited maybe 5 minutes for all our food, and you order and pay at the register so it's a bit more casual than a typical pasta place.

My first time here and it was fantastic. Shocking for a downtown place to actually have great service and delicious food. The pasta and pizza options are solid, carbonara and the braised beef were spot on. I often travel to NY for work and they can easily Compete with Italian places in New York.
