Pretty good Mexican food in a really fun environment. Stopped by for lunch and got the tacos aguilenos, tacos adobados, and guacamole. Both tacos had a fair amount of meat and the mole was tasty and earthy. The guacamole meanwhile was rich and smooth. Food was a bit pricey for the portion sizes but everything is expensive these days.
The star of the show though was the place and the people. Decor and music were so colorfully vibrant, and the people were so welcoming and kind. This place definitely has a great vibe!

Came to visit right after the restaurant opened, skipped all the rush hours. The entire restaurant had a very homely atmosphere. Food was tasty and the portions were so great!!
Food was amazing, we ordered guacamole to start and a veggie platter for two shared among the three of us and it was more than sufficient amount of food. The owner/server was so friendly and got everything very quick. Food was fresh and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to try authentic mexican food. It’s close to the subway and you will not be disappointed!

Food is excellent, but if they are busy, may be long wait for food. To avoid that, we usually get here by 6:30 pm. The chicken tamale very tasty. Sangria was okay. The meat platter for 2 very good, more than enough food. Friendly service, Thank you!

Entering El Sol was like going into a museum of Mexico's Mayan and Aztec past. The walls are beautifully decorated with various artifacts that I wish I had more to inspect closely. I had the Carne Asada which was well seasoned and delicious. The potatoes complemented the dish wonderfully. The manager/owner? provided some pickled peppers on the side which kicked it up a notch. Overall, terrific food, service and atmosphere. A genuine authentic Mexican culinary experience. It was like eating at a Mexican home not just a restaurant.

The pork katsu was really good. The lovely lady showed us a card board written with their email for interac since we didn’t bring any cash. Me and my wife did not even finish the whole meal since it was so massive. Not bad for its price which is $12. Highly recommended for cheap eats.

Hi! Today I went to a Model UN conference and needed takeout in a hurry. Yanagi Sushi was amazing, the chefs made everything freshly and the waitress sat me down at a table to wait and relax. They were also clear and exact on wait times, and were very kind. Their lunch comes with delicious miso soup and a fresh salad. I had the 6pc spicy salmon and 6pc spicy tuna lunch meal. 10/10! Would reccomend, especially for people with more sensitive stomachs who still love sushi. Did not upset my stomach at all and I love Yanagi Sushi! 🩷

We visited Yangi Sushi on the Danforth as a group of six. At first the server looked surprised and mentioned she didn’t have a table for that many people, but when we asked if we could split between two booths she kindly agreed. A moment later a man picking up takeout mentioned she was the only server working and very busy — despite that, she did a fantastic job and kept up really well throughout our meal!
All the food was extremely fresh and tasty. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality was there. We ordered the Yangi Boat for 3 ($94), plus Kimchi, Vegetable Tempura, and two orders of Salmon Roe. It ended up being far more food than we expected — the sushi boat alone would have been plenty for three people. We even needed takeout containers for the leftovers.
Our bill came to $183 for three people, which reflects both the generous portions and the quality. Overall, a delicious meal with great service under pressure — we’ll be back, but next time we’ll order a little less!

I have ordered 4 take outs from Yanagi Sushi and I have found the food to be overall very fresh and tasty. It is packaged well and as described on the website, wasabi is placed in the sushi so if you are feeding kids, remember to ask to put it to the side. Overall good take out experience and will continue to purchase.

The best sushi place ever! Me and my partner order our favourite rolls from here almost every week. We also went there a few times to dine-in over the last couple years and it's been always clean and welcoming, service is super professional and friendly. Food is fresh and absolutely delicious! If I had to choose 1 meal I would have to eat for the rest of my life I would go for salmon-avocado-mango hand roll. Seriously. The green and golden dragon are must-try's too. Every time we come in we get complimentary ice cream or appetizer from their owner. Great proffesional staff that serve great food. Thank you!

Disappointed with this visit. The restaurant didn’t feel clean, and the service was quite slow from start to finish. The food itself was just okay, but the hollandaise sauce was really off. When I pointed it out to the server, it was met with dismissal instead of concern. Between the lack of cleanliness, slow service, and poor attitude, the experience fell well below expectations.

I’ve ordered the southwest chicken wrap multiple times from this location and they NEVER disappoint me. Packaged perfectly for pick up, sauce on the side, cutlery, condiments etc. Worth the $18. Great portion, presentation and tasty.

Sunset Grill - if you want a decent, good breakfast with a throwback, cozy environment, then this is where you want to go. Located steps away from Coxwell subway station, this Sunset Grill is a local favourite spot.
Like many similar places, Sunset Grill serves your standard breakfast fare. You get your eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, choice of bread - you get the idea. What we go to Sunset Grill for though, are their home fries. These home fries are not the kind that come pre-made in a bag from your freezer. NOPE. These home fries come from real potatoes, cut, and done right on the stove. Bite into them and you can taste actual potato with that chew. I've been to a few other breakfast restaurants where the home fries taste more like that powdery stuff that comes out of the freezer - not my fave so Sunset Grill is the way to go for me.
There are lots of different breakfast combinations to choose from. Show up before 10am and they even have morning specials so if you're an early bird, give that a go as well.
Now, a few more comments about the food that we had. Overall, taste is what you'd expect - a good hearty breakfast. If you ask for over easy eggs, they will come to you over easy. Scrambled is scrambled. The breakfast sausages taste good - what you'd expect. Perhaps the only thing to mention is that the bacon is on the saltier side but definitely crispy. Bread - you get your choice of white, brown, or rye. Featured in the images is the brown bread.
The restaurant itself is actually bigger than you'd think given the storefront. There are 2 levels and plenty of seating. At the time I went, customers could choose where they wanted to sit.
Before ending this off, I have to give a shout out to the staff that work at this Sunset Grill. I've been a few times now and seen the same faces and they are a lovely bunch. Smiles for all the customers and you can tell they know who the regulars are.
I have to say, I appreciate the atmosphere of this Sunset Grill. It's just easy, it's chill, and there's a bit of a throwback to times now past which I find nostalgic and homey. It may not be the most modern joint in the area but I appreciate its charm with good people and good food. They also serve omelettes and burgers which I plan to try next time I go. Give it a go if you're in the area.

This place is amazing! We came in here by chance and Mary immediately greeted us and asked us our names. She’s fantastic. The bar is super clean and the beer is cold and the lines are clean.
I would’ve paid for the conversation with her alone 🙏

So as the add-ons part of the menu says $3.50 for three sausage links and $3.50 for three pieces of bacon. I’ve been coming to this location for like over six years because I live right next-door to it. So sometimes I’ll come and just get Extras for what I’m cooking at home. The lady this morning was super rude, impatient, and I get it it’s cold and the economy sucks but the least thing we can all be as personable. It costs nothing. So I just gave her kindness and left, but she tried to charge me An extra dollar so I canceled the sausage links and just got bacon, but my receipt says small coffee?

I don’t know what the staff here has been taught in their training, but the prices what’s displayed isn’t what they charge to the customers. $6 for Nanak burger + combo($5.60) which includes fries & drink should be $11.60 plus tax, but the staff here says, it’s $6 for the burger, $5.60 for the combo plus $1.41 for the drink because the drink doesn’t come in the combo & there was another customer who ordered the same & was asked to pay. Even though on display it says, combo includes fries & drink, shows same on app & website but it’s different in-person.
Weird service & information..!
I had to just take a burger instead of $15 for what they were asking.

Went to this location. The service was good staff is friendly. I was there at night only 2 people working for a 24hr location but the store itself was dirty food on the floor tables not cleaned and the most disgusting thing is the sinks they have next to the service counter. More staff would be recommended to help clean the location I did notice the manager constantly washing her hands after cooking and serving people 👍 but wearing gloves would be better.

I came in first thing in the morning and was happy to see they were open. The gentleman serving me was so polite with the right amount of small talk. The veggies were fresh, the bread was fresh and the service was amazing.
The restaurant was clean, tables, floors, machines and best of all no crumbs.
I got a 6" BLT and it was absolutely delicious 😋, that I almost regretted not getting a 12" (but that was just the foodie in me). Hands down, my best and favorite Subway shop ever. Thank you to the kind gentleman that served me that morning

Love this place. The vibes are impeccable. What the owners have created here is something truly special. It’s everything you want in a local spot — welcoming and filled with heart. You can genuinely feel the care and effort that’s gone into making it more than just a bar.
The drink selection is excellent, and the wings and fries absolutely hit the spot.
We were there to watch Heated Rivalry and the atmosphere was perfect. They even let us stay to watch one more episode.
This is a rare gem in Toronto, and we’ll definitely be back.

Fun lil gay-friendly bar I went to today to catch the NBA finals. I was in East York (where I rarely ever am) and needed to find somewhere nearby to watch the game - stumbled into this cute little location run by Indigenous 2S individuals, Natasha and CC, and it was awesome.
They offer great food and programming, centering the community in a really interesting and fun way. Will be back in a flash if I get a chance!
The smoked lime tequila wings were really fun!

I recently bought a bowl, the flavours and taste was nice and it was fairly filling. The only downside was the packaging which really needs improvement. My cover fell out (it's a very loose for on the bowl) and some of the sauce spilled out. In addition the paper bowl gets soggy really quick so be aware.

I ordered off of skip. I got the 3 ground beef tacos with a side of chips & salsa. The tacos were not good at all the groundbeef didn't look like groundbeef & the flavors were to much. The taco shells were not cooked at all almost as if they just grabbed right out of the bag and used them. The veggies were fresh but overall not good tacos for the price. The chips and salsa on the other had were very delicious I got all there different salsas just to try and they were all pretty good. Maybe there other menu items are better taste wise but I know I did not enjoy my tacos. In total I spent $31 dollars with delivery fee+ tip

Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely come back again.

Have been a regular for past 3 years and its an absolute heart warming experience every time! Every dish is simple, comforting and super flavourful. The beef and chicken are my favourites.Even a humble green gram curry tastes delicious….
The service is so homely and the Coffee is my absolute favourite. And love the fact that they’re open late, but make sure to give a call and check if they have injera , on weekend-nights/late nights.
Always going back here!!!

We walked in with friends almost by chance — and it turned into a truly unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of soul. You can feel the authenticity and heart of Ethiopian culture here.
The food was absolutely delicious, but the highlight was the coffee. I thought I knew what good coffee was… but honestly, before this moment, I had never really tasted coffee.
They performed a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony for us. The beans were roasted right in front of us — fragrant smoke rising from the pan, filling the air with the most rich, earthy aroma. It was mesmerizing. Then they brewed this magical elixir from the freshly roasted beans and served it in a beautiful clay pot. The coffee was poured into tiny cups — deep, smooth, incredibly flavorful. It almost makes you lose your words.
The ceremony was accompanied by burning incense, which made the whole experience feel sacred and special.
This is not just a restaurant — it’s an experience. We will absolutely be back.

This is the fourth Ethiopian restaurant I’ve tried in the area. I liked them all to some degree but Lucy is my new favourite. I’ve dined-in at least twice and ordered takeout at least once. Every experience was pleasant: food always tasted great, atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was always polite and accommodating. There is a patio in the back which I’d like to try some day. A high rating is well-deserved: good job.

Went here on a cold winter night - this was our first time having Ethiopian at a restaurant, and it did not disappoint!
We ordered the meat and veggie platter for two. It was the perfect size, and came with a ton of variety (meats, salad, lentils, veggies, etc.) and was delicious.
The ambiance was warm and homey, and the service was very friendly. We will be back!

Lucy is a quaint little place to enjoy some heartwarming Ethiopian food, the meat and veggie platter is a good way to enjoy all the flavours with Injera. Also their chicken witb injeta is also delicious! They have limited staff so there might be a small delay, but a little consideration will get you a homely meal and homely warm service
