5 Star Rating The Danforth & Jones location is solid. Great staff, super helpful, and management is tight + very responsive. We order from this location fairly regularly, single pies and larger orders. Always fresh and great value. Extremely rare to experience any issues, but when it has happened the manager quickly makes it right. We mostly order pickup, though delivery is pretty quick too. Def recommend for great pizza and service.

5 Star Rating We have never in my life received such AMAZING customer service as we have at this Dominoes location. They have a permanent customer in me and we won’t order pizza from anywhere else. I made a big mistake and they went above and beyond to fix it for me. Loved the food they delivered as well. 6 thumbs up/5 stars!!

4 Star Rating Pizza here beats the ones in Europe! The crust is, like, totally awesome, loaded with more toppings, and the service is way friendlier. 😁🍕 And, most importantly, you're eating pizza, not just flour with some dough dip, you know. 👌 They don't skimp on ingredients, and every time I check, they've got some sweet deals going on. Definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite! 😜

5 Star Rating A great Hakka experience. I've eaten here a few times and have always found the service great and the food well made with generous portions. For me, the spice edges on mild, but I also have a pallet for spice that tends towards hot so I can't speak for everyone. The atmosphere is casual without being too cheap.

5 Star Rating Was craving some good Indian-Chinese (Hakka here in Canada) & this place was absolutely amazing. Loved the meal & the service was even better. Quick. And courteous. The host was warm & felt like I wasn’t in Toronto for a bit (as the city and customer service don’t do well). If you’re in the food service business, the experience is worth just as much as how good the food is. Highly recommend the pork bbq fried rice. Fluffy and soft. Seasoned well. Chicken Pokara had the spices in them & were not bland (or just batter fried). Chilli chicken was good but may have been a little over cooked with the crunch or been out for a short while. Still flavourful nonetheless. Come to Greek town for some good Hakka! Really? Really!

Will definitely order from this restaurant again. 4 Star Rating Danforth Pizza House is a charming, family-owned restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner’s sons, who run the place, are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I tried their special, and while the pizza was fresh and well-made, I found it a bit lacking in flavor. The sauce and dough could use a bit more seasoning or salt to bring out the flavors. That being said, it’s still a great spot for a casual meal. Keep in mind, they only accept cash, so be sure to come prepared!💵

5 Star Rating Don’t go to the city often, but went for the auto show. Went out of the way to visit this pizza place being one of the oldest in the city to have lunch. Not only were the staff (which seemed like a nice authentic family) amazing, talking about making dough, letting us watch them make the dough, and telling us about the history of the place, but they seemed genuinely happy to chat & be there which is nice. They were down to earth & love what they do. The place is cozy, & had memorabilia. Great atmosphere. Priced reasonably. Lots to choose from. Now for the pizza ….. MMMMM. Best pizza I’ve ever had. Best ingredients, best ratios. The crust is delicious. I usually like a fluffier, chewier (deeper dish) pizza but for a crispier slice… hands down my favourite. I won’t go out of my way to get a slice anywhere, but deffs would come an hour to have a slice here again. Perfect, intimate amount of seating where you feel at home. Definitely recommend if you’re a pizza lover. Also, their cola was delish.

5 Star Rating Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised it was the best pizza I've had in at least 20 years. One of those hidden gems per se in the East end of Toronto. Reasonable expectations of cash only. I don't blame them. Why pay the fees? 😂 Multi-Generational family run and all of them had huge smiles and were eager to serve the steadily increasing line of customers. This place will now be a weekly staple in my diet. Thanks again for the great service and the even better pizza. In an overly saturated Toronto Pizza market, this place stands above and beyond the competition.

5 Star Rating Steak lover? You have got to try Bihari/Behari kebab. The flavors in Bihari kebab are often described as rich, aromatic, and savory, with a blend of spices that enhance the tenderness of the meat. The spices used are typically warm and aromatic rather than hot, creating a depth of flavor that's both comforting and satisfying. It's a dish that can leave you feeling like you've had a truly delightful culinary experience! Usually served with Naan which i found theirs to be soft and perfectly made. I am coming back for more and trying out other dishes for sure.

5 Star Rating I’m not sure why but I really love this place, has a home cooked feel to it. I have ordered from here a few times and I like the rice and chicken from the biriyani, could be more spicy-i might just be numb to it tho. I also tried the chicken samosa and chicken roll. Got the Samosa fresh and hot and was great!!! Enjoyed the sauce that came with it. The roll was cold and I feel like I’ve had better take your chance with it tho because normally their food is great. Also had butter chicken and it was very sweet and lots of chicken, personally I would have preferred more sauce. I enjoyed the veggies it came with wish there was more!!! Yummy meal

2 Star Rating Not worth your money. Almost $6 per dim sum and just mediocre. The siu my were not even wrapped with yellow wraps. Never have I been to a restaurant where they hand you packages of sauce. Why couldn't the server put it in a dish? The deep fried wonton was not crispy and with a dime size shrimp. The only good thing from this restaurant was the green tea.

I liked rice noodles were very lightly seasoned but noodles were all stuck together. Eggplant was flavourful, not too spicy. Went well with my own rice. 5 Star Rating Bonus points to Ha Gow for being the only dimsum and dumpling spot in the area... and they make it fresh and by hand! Stopped by for lunch and got a bunch of stuff. My favourites were the har gow (plump shrimp, tasty coating), scallop dumpling (great texture and conteasts in taste), bbq pork bun (hefty bun, tender pork, generous sauce), and for dessert the sesame balls (sticky bean paste, good fry). Place is simple yet clean and spacious. Pruces are reasonable. Service is quick and pleasant. Between all those things and the authentic tasting dim sum and dumpling, I get why this place has been around for over a decade.

5 Star Rating We had such a wonderful experience getting dim sum from Ha Gow dim sum house last week! I have a food allergy to onion and garlic and they really went out of their way to make sure the food would be safe for me to enjoy. Everything was so fresh and delicious, and when I picked up the food, they even had another menu for me with notes on it showing the things I could safely order the next time. That is some wonderful customer service! Thank you so much guys, everything was delicious and I will be back again soon, and tell all my friends about you!

5 Star Rating Residents and dim sum fans living in this area of the Danforth should consider themselves fortunate to have this small family run dim sum place as an option. I always try to make a point to have some lunch here. I unfortunately live too far away. This is a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Chinatown to get some authentic dim sum dishes. It’s great that they offer dim sum all day, not just in the morning / lunch. It’s small, only 6 tables and an eating counter, so they don’t offer the trolleys. You order off an order sheet. They do offer a great selection of other menu options from stir fry dishes to bowls of noodle soup that you can order off. You might wind up waiting for a table if you’re unfortunate enough to be there when the 6 tables are full. The place is tight and small. But what that also means is that you get your order quicker, you don’t have to wait around for a long time hoping to get something you want waiting for a little old lady pushing a cart. As a result it comes to you fresh and steaming, straight out of the steamer pot. A wait staff confirms they make everything in house. They do not take credit cards, cash only, so make sure you have some green. Waitress was friendly, spoke perfect English, enjoyed my lunch there. Will Come again. 4 selections of dim sum and a soda with tax and tip was about $23.00 as of Jan 2020. If you found my review, photos and video helpful in your decision, please click the like button.

4 Star Rating Stepping Back in Time for a Burger Delight! Square boy a original retro burger joint that perfectly fits the Danforth areas vibe and has been there for decades, it hit all the right notes for a fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the retro vibe was charming, but it was the genuinely warm and welcoming customer service that really set the stage. The staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. I got the Double Cheeseburger and a side of Gravy Fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger was a hefty, satisfying. The patties were juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the toppings were fresh. It was a classic burger done right, and it definitely hit the spot. The Gravy Fries. These were a standout! The fries themselves were wonderfully crispy, just the way I like them, and packed a great flavor on their own. Doused in a savory, rich gravy, they were an absolutely addictive side. The whole meal came in at around $13, which I felt was excellent value, especially considering the generous portion size of the burger and the quality of the food. If you're looking for a delicious, unpretentious burger experience with top-notch service and a cool retro atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a gem!

4 Star Rating An institution along Danforth, this old-school spot serves burgers, gyros and freshly grilled souvlaki. Don't overlook the value that you get for these prices, because the food quality is high and the prices are low. The chicken takes on an aromatic char from the grill, that adds a smoky depth of flavour to the moist chunks of chicken meat that's embellished with simple, yet tasty seasonings. Inside the pita includes a generous smear of a creamy and tangy yogurt sauce, sweet white onions for crunch, and tomatoes for juiciness too.

5 Star Rating Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!! This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

2 Star Rating Considering what we paid it was an underwhelming experience. The food was good but it felt heavily overpriced considering what we got (see photo). We paid $90 for a modest amount of sushi. Not more than a week ago we got well over double the equally tasty sushi for only $50 more from another local Japanese restaurant. They obviously don't specialize in the type of sushi that our family is looking for (we almost exclusively eat maki, sashimi and related raw fish rolls and aren't looking for other Japanese dishes, especially any non fish meat dishes) so I can't fault them for that. I do wish for them to succeed because they are a local business but the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening at 6.30 pm. That doesn't bode well for their longevity. Perhaps it's time to reevaluate the menu slightly to cater to what our unrefined Canadian palate is looking for in a sushi dish, lots of fish--maki, sashimi, etc.

5 Star Rating Nice, quiet experience. Best way to describe it is it's like Japanese comfort food. Good spot if you feel like eating Japanese food and want a wide selection, like the Izakaya name implies. 5 Star Rating We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious. The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba. It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work. We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out. It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! 4 Star Rating Comfort food at its no frills chowdown finest. Stopped by for dinner and got: - Triple Threat Mac: Ooey gooey mac and cheese with chunks of beef, chicken and shrimp. While I would have liked a bit more protein, amount was reasonable. And the cheesiness was sublime. - Bobby's Smash Burger Combo: Burger was like an elevated big mac in taste. Liked how the side could be wings or shrimp instead of just fries. Went with the shrimp and got it costed with lemon garlic, and it was crunchy tasty. Food is halal. Lots of people taking out while we were there, but there's a dine-in area and a couple of tvs where they were playing sports. Prices are ok. People are friendly. 5 Star Rating I had the pleasure of visiting City Fried Chicken today, located at the corner of Donlands and Danforth, and I must say — it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine welcome by the gentleman at the front — who I believe is the owner. His friendliness and hospitality instantly set the tone for the visit. He not only made us feel comfortable but also took the time to suggest some of the best items on the menu. It’s rare to find such personalized service these days, and it truly made the visit memorable. The ambiance of the place is simple yet exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is always a great sign when it comes to food spots. It’s clear that the team takes pride in both their food and their environment. Now, let’s talk about the food — simply outstanding. I’ve tried fried chicken from all the big-name chains, but this place honestly blew them out of the water. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It’s clear that everything is made with care and attention to detail. Not only is the quality impressive, but the prices are very reasonable, making it a perfect budget-friendly option without compromising on taste or cleanliness. Overall, this hidden gem deserves way more attention. Whether you’re a fried chicken lover or just looking for a delicious and affordable meal, City Fried Chicken is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended

I ordered the fish burger, something most restaurants can't really make so well. I was surprised with the taste and how it was made fresh right in front of me. Sauces were great and the perfect amount of spice. Fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I will visit again. Definitely recommend.

5 Star Rating This place as been around since I’ve been a kid, (2005) they know what they are doing when it comes to quality food! Love their Philly cheesesteak! It’s a must to at least grab once a week! Got their chicken and hands down biggest chicken and juicy chicken in the area! Love the staff always smiling and very good vibes!

5 Star Rating I just had lunch there and I can safely say that this is a phenomenal spot to get food especially if you are getting over a cold or you are hung over lol. Ahmad is so sweet and he is an amazing chef who provides phenomenal customer service. The food is spicy. But if you could handle it, then you will also find it very flavorful. I came on a Thursday when their steak on fries is discounted and I bought it for $16.85. I got my food for diamond and I ended up having to get a takeout container because the portions are sizable. I recommend this place to everybody.

4 Star Rating Happen to drive by and seen this gem. Right in the heart of danforth can't miss it just outside of donlands station they got a wide selection. Reasonable prices & great service. I got the 15 p chicken & large wedges total came to $53.00 CAN. I have no complaints about the food well cooked & lightly seasoned chicken very crispy, wedges were delicious nothing fancy just your typical potato wedges. Over all good experience friendly staff and clean store front. Definitely check them out if your in the area
