3 Star Rating This was my go to Domino's spot, but as I told their evening manager- I won't be ordering any more pizzas from your location. And no, I don't want your free pizza. What's the point of a free pizza when I already wasted my money twice and time once taking instructions, your company refused to follow. After receiving a burnt pizza the first time, the day time manager told me to come in and request a lightly done, but cooked pizza so the cheese wouldn't be burned so much. So, that's exactly what I did. I ordered the pizza, even shown them based on their photos what I mean and the manager said "Don't worry, I completely understand and know what you want." Got home opened my box to receive the same exact thing I requested against. 🫣 What was the point of telling me "you have to let them know before ordering that you don't want the cheese to be burned like that" if you're still going to do it anyways. The wings as always were delicious. Juicy, fatty, and absolutely delicious 😋. The evening manager found my receipt and informed me that I verbally told them, but they didn't record it down. I was unaware of an alternative method to ordering a walk-in. How else was I supposed to make an order 😞. Wings are my favorite, pizza I will never order again. If anyone has any recommendations... please 🙏🏽 send them my way.

5 Star Rating Always quick delivery and quality food. I've never been into the store but imagine it would be solid based on my good interactions. In one standout case, someone from the store called me to let me know deliveries were running behind and made sure I was okay with that.

5 Star Rating This is a good location. Fast and friendly. Parking is tricky if you need it. With all the deals and discounts and a pretty good customer loyalty program, this is our go to cheap school night pizza choice. We usually get half sauce, because the sauce is peppery, and we are big fans of their sausage.

4 Star Rating Pizza here beats the ones in Europe! The crust is, like, totally awesome, loaded with more toppings, and the service is way friendlier. 😁🍕 And, most importantly, you're eating pizza, not just flour with some dough dip, you know. 👌 They don't skimp on ingredients, and every time I check, they've got some sweet deals going on. Definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite! 😜

5 Star Rating I think most folks have tried Domino's Pizza at least once but not every store is created equal. In particular, I'm a big fan of this location, near Donlands station on the Danforth. Atmosphere gets a 4 star - it's a small store, enough for a counter and a few chairs for customers to pick up their pizzas. No frills but where they excel is in their pizza prep and general customer service. Each time I've gone in to order pizza, the staff always wash their hands before making the pizzas (I know this should be standard but let's face it, I've seen places where gloves are reused and handwashing just doesn't happen). Staff are also consistently polite and professional with customers and there is a notable rapport among coworkers which I appreciate. Delivery staff are also pleasant and polite. Pizza always comes hot and well made. No issues ever. For folks who have never had a Domino's Pizza, their standard pizza has a thick soft crust. It's easy to chew for folks who may struggle with a harder crust. The standard pizza sauce is a tomato based sauce and some might find it a bit zesty/spicy. You can always change it up for a marinara sauce base (extra cost) which is milder and a bit sweeter. Generally speaking, toppings are quite generous. Images feature a pepperoni and bacon pizza and a pepperoni and pineapple pizza with standard sauce on both. There are several toppings to choose from, both meat and veggie, and is pretty much what you'd expect from a pizza place. Note: those who like steak/beef on their pizza - this is probably the one topping that I find inconsistent. Sometimes, I get it and there is a reasonable amount of beef. Other times, it's barely noticeable. Given that there is an extra cost for this topping, I now no longer get this - not worth it for the inconsistency here. Main reason for choosing this Domino's location - good service and good handling of the pizza prep. Pizzas are also consistently good especially if you want some easy comfort food and don't feel like cooking.

The chef gave great suggestions. Food was fresh and delicious. Platters were priced fairly and the portions were huge. We highly recommend for your next party or just want great Hakka food.

4 Star Rating Tried a walk in slice from Danforth Pizza House and went with their $6 walking special pepperoni. The slice was pretty solid. The crust wasn’t too thick and had a nice crunch, which I appreciated. The sauce, pepperoni, and cheese were all good and balanced. Nothing overly greasy and it held together well. Is it the best slice in the city? Personally, I’d say no there are definitely better walk in pizza slices around Toronto. But is it decent? Absolutely. For $6, it’s a good value for what you get, and that’s always nice to have when you just want a quick slice. At the end of the day, it already beats Pizza Pizza, so that’s a win in my books. One thing to note this spot is cash only. I’ll probably come back another time to try a made to order pie and see how it compares.

5 Star Rating Why is this place not on any of the big "best pizza in Toronto" lists? Why has the city made me work so hard to finally find a pizza worth ordering again and again and again? I've spent 20+ years looking for a good, old fashioned, tasty pizza in Toronto—a place that cares about the quality of the cheese used, makes a damn good sauce and has just the right level of toasted crust. I finally found it all with my very first order from this long-time establishment, and that order was the House Special. Thank you Danforth Pizza House, you've become my first go-to pizza joint in the city.

4 Star Rating Danforth Pizza House is a charming, family-owned restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner’s sons, who run the place, are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I tried their special, and while the pizza was fresh and well-made, I found it a bit lacking in flavor. The sauce and dough could use a bit more seasoning or salt to bring out the flavors. That being said, it’s still a great spot for a casual meal. Keep in mind, they only accept cash, so be sure to come prepared!💵

4 Star Rating Makkah Restaurant offers a wide variety of Bangladeshi halal dishes with plenty of options to choose from. The taste is average – nothing extraordinary but decent if you’re craving deshi food. Prices are a bit on the higher side considering it’s self-service. The good part is they have enough seating space, so finding a spot to sit isn’t usually a problem. You may try if you’re nearby and want Bangladeshi food.

5 Star Rating My brother, cousin, and I stopped at Makkah Indian Restaurant on the Danforth for lunch while exploring the area, and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and perfectly spiced. I ordered my go-to Palak Paneer, and it was spot on: creamy, rich, and just the right amount of spice. The portions were generous, prices fair, and the service was warm and welcoming. We all left saying the same thing — we’d definitely come back. Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood and craving authentic Indian food!

5 Star Rating My family has been coming here for maybe 30+ years. It has never disappointed. The food is delicious, a great price, and with great service. And the workers are incredibly friendly too. I just want to make a note about another Makkah restaurant that appears to have an identical menu, and also be on Danforth road. I am unsure whether it is another branch of this locations but if not, it is incredibly weird to see a copycat restaurant operating. I accidentally ordered from them, and the food was not nearly as good as the food we get from here. It seemed that while they have identical menu items, their recipes are all slightly different. Please make it clear on platforms like Maps or socials whether this is another location, or entirely separate business because I do not want to support anyone profiting off of anothers name even by mistake. I feel that it can cause reputational harm to Makkah itself as especially through Uber it is not easy to tell the difference given the identical names, and menus.

5 Star Rating We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious. The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba. It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work. We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out. It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

3 Star Rating It is typical in Japan to have cold noodles during the summer so I decided on cold noodles too. I had the Zaru soba this time. This is a very simple noodle dish but very tasty and also very healthy. The dish comes with a dipping sauce (mentsuyu). Noodles topped with sliced seaweed (nori) with diced green onions and some wasabi on the side. I would have preferred more green onions especially when it really adds flavour and not an expensive ingredient. One item missing I always look for is shichimi togarashi (red chilli powder mix). Zaru soba is buckwheat noodles and these were done just right. Not too soft. The mentsuyu is shoyu and fish stock based. If you are looking for something uniquely different from ramen, Zaru soba is a great option. Nakayoshi Izakaya is not just a ramen shop but a full Japanese menu restaurant. Great selection suitable for anyone looking for variety of Japanese food.

5 Star Rating Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!! This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

5 Star Rating I stumbled upon this place while I was walking by on a cold Feb night and needed something light to eat. Ordered a pastor (pork) taco and steak volcano. I was taken back by the amount of salsas, sauces they provided. Every salsa tasted distinctly different and very tasty...they were all different levels of heat. The food tasted fresh and full of flavor. They also brought a big bowl of sauted onions and jalapenos. I definitely need to visit this place again with my wife. they priced so well...GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY AND GREAT TASTING FOOD!

5 Star Rating Winner for best all-around tacos in the hood, with the loveliest, most golden hearted folks who work here. Tacos are a standout and authentic as can be — in a variety of mouthwatering, tenderized meats (still need to get the tripe when it’s not sold out, but the tongue and pastor are excellent!), supported in a sturdy double wrap with a plethora of sauces and salsas for garnish. I am a big sauce person and their sauces are awesome and diverse and an added flavour bomb, I always save them for future meals! Bonus: first ever taco joint I’ve seen in the city that gives you a free side of limes, fried onions and mild jalapeños… could I love you anymore??? Quality and extra care is outstanding! The volcanes is like a giant tortilla chip with melted cheese, and come with about 2lbs of meat sitting on top (I’m not really exaggerating). My partner and I were blown away by the chorizo. The flan is delicious, and their other desserts look equally so. Lastly, I want to bring attention to two separate, shining examples of community stewardship: my partner had wanted to buy a meal for a homeless gentleman and the staff proceeded to cover it and even let him sit down to enjoy it, no questions asked. On a more recent excursion, someone with visible mental health issues was also treated with heartwarming hospitality and generosity. I witnessed the man in question actually kiss the hand of the staff member he was speaking with. I’m of the belief that there would be less crime if we could only keep people who are hungry, fed and nourished. It is really wonderful to see restaurants - and the individuals behind them - like this that support the community. It makes such a difference.

4 Star Rating The vibe at this restaurant isn’t great, but once you start talking to the person behind the cash register, you start to feel better. We got the chicken Alfredo penne and the basic Mac & Cheese with wings (bbq + hot) The wings were meh as they were cold and bear in mind. We were dine in. (5-6 => could’ve been better => too much hot sauce) The Mac and cheese looked and tasted good but once you’re done with the top layer of cheese, the macaroni wasn’t really coated with the sauce. You could kinda see the macaroni. (Overall 7-7.5) The Alfredo chicken however was solid. The sauce was great, good seasoning on the chicken (Solid 9)

2 Star Rating Man food here is fire! I’ve been going to the morning side one and it’s nice to be able to inside and eat it while it’s hot! I got a 12inch Philly sub and my wife got pasta- both combos She could only eat half so I had half her pasta and half my sub. Today I warmed up other half of My Philly in my air fryer as I ate through my philly there was a hair melted in between the cheese . I had to pull it out to ensure it in fact was a hair piece! Truly disappointed at the hygiene of the place and what they were doing at the back while preparing food… another customer complained that they forgot to add the steak to his Philly Mac pasta ! 5 Star Rating Second time ordering from them. The staff are very lovely. The food amazing and, worth it every-time. My favourite are the Cajun shrimp I can’t explain how good the taste of the seasoning is you just have to come in and try it haha! And the pastas are amazing I’ve tried their Mac and cheese and penne. Will definitely be coming in again and trying the rest of the menu.

5 Star Rating I had the pleasure of visiting City Fried Chicken today, located at the corner of Donlands and Danforth, and I must say — it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine welcome by the gentleman at the front — who I believe is the owner. His friendliness and hospitality instantly set the tone for the visit. He not only made us feel comfortable but also took the time to suggest some of the best items on the menu. It’s rare to find such personalized service these days, and it truly made the visit memorable. The ambiance of the place is simple yet exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is always a great sign when it comes to food spots. It’s clear that the team takes pride in both their food and their environment. Now, let’s talk about the food — simply outstanding. I’ve tried fried chicken from all the big-name chains, but this place honestly blew them out of the water. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It’s clear that everything is made with care and attention to detail. Not only is the quality impressive, but the prices are very reasonable, making it a perfect budget-friendly option without compromising on taste or cleanliness. Overall, this hidden gem deserves way more attention. Whether you’re a fried chicken lover or just looking for a delicious and affordable meal, City Fried Chicken is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended

5 Star Rating This place as been around since I’ve been a kid, (2005) they know what they are doing when it comes to quality food! Love their Philly cheesesteak! It’s a must to at least grab once a week! Got their chicken and hands down biggest chicken and juicy chicken in the area! Love the staff always smiling and very good vibes!
