This was my go to Domino's spot, but as I told their evening manager- I won't be ordering any more pizzas from your location. And no, I don't want your free pizza. What's the point of a free pizza when I already wasted my money twice and time once taking instructions, your company refused to follow. After receiving a burnt pizza the first time, the day time manager told me to come in and request a lightly done, but cooked pizza so the cheese wouldn't be burned so much. So, that's exactly what I did. I ordered the pizza, even shown them based on their photos what I mean and the manager said "Don't worry, I completely understand and know what you want." Got home opened my box to receive the same exact thing I requested against. 🫣 What was the point of telling me "you have to let them know before ordering that you don't want the cheese to be burned like that" if you're still going to do it anyways. The wings as always were delicious. Juicy, fatty, and absolutely delicious 😋. The evening manager found my receipt and informed me that I verbally told them, but they didn't record it down. I was unaware of an alternative method to ordering a walk-in. How else was I supposed to make an order 😞. Wings are my favorite, pizza I will never order again. If anyone has any recommendations... please 🙏🏽 send them my way.

I am disabled so I do not have money to spend on takeout but I can eat four meals on a medium pizza. I only had $30 cash and I tried all the streaming sites. Totally unaffordable. I had a seizure around 5 am and I am hurting. I am barely making it through.I finally called dominos pizza on the Danforth. A fellow named Billy was so gracious and professional and very understanding. It took a while for me to make up my mind and he never made me feel bad . He took the time and patience with me to order within my amount. I'm very pleased and I will definitely order from them again and I am going to tell all my friends and family about my positive experience.

Domino's is consistent and timely...love ordering through their website and you can watch as your order is being made and delivered. Also our usual branch is very understanding...one time their was a bit of a delay due to a special being offered by the store & they waived the delivery charge! Thanks again and still our favorite pizza in our area.

Pizza here beats the ones in Europe! The crust is, like, totally awesome, loaded with more toppings, and the service is way friendlier. 😁🍕 And, most importantly, you're eating pizza, not just flour with some dough dip, you know. 👌 They don't skimp on ingredients, and every time I check, they've got some sweet deals going on. Definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite! 😜

I’m a loyal fan of this place and usually their pizza is the consistent stuff of melty, saucy, and always delicious enough to make you cancel your current dinner plans, But my latest order? Let’s just say… something went rogue in the kitchen. It was like the cheese and sauce went on vacation and left the onions in charge. I kept looking under the raw onions like I was on a scavenger hunt for sauce and cheese. Hate paying so much for bland bread. I’m not giving up on my go-to spot. Everyone has an off day. But I’m really hoping next time the cheese and sauce show up to work, preferably in generous amounts as previously. Still rooting for you, Dominoes pizza pals. Update - had their pizza last night and it was delicious as ever.

We got the Hakka chow mein, crispy ginger beef, and jeera green beans. All were fantastic!! The beef was tender and perfectly crisped. The beans were crisp but also blistered to perfection. The chow mein was seasoned just right. 10/10. Will come again!

We just threw a party for about 30 people and got Danforth Dragon to cater. We ordered based on their good reviews since we’ve never tried their food before and they didn’t disappoint! The chef gave great suggestions. Food was fresh and delicious. Platters were priced fairly and the portions were huge. We highly recommend for your next party or just want great Hakka food.

After all these years, Danforth Dragon remains truly legendary. The crispy ginger beef is still one of the best in the city, with a sweet-savoury crispy coating over tender beef. The shrimp fried rice is generous with the protein and tasty with the rice. The portion sizes can feed a flight of dragons. The prices remain reasonable, and the service remains quick. Overall, still a great spot to chow down. --- Original Review: Holy Hakka, the crispy ginger beef is amazing!!! I've tried hakka a few times and the crispy ginger beef is my go-to test of how good it is. Gotta say, Danforth Dragon did not disappoint. The beef was crispy without being hard and jerky-like in texture, the garlic flavour really came through, and the overall taste was sweet/spicy-but-leaning-towards-sweet. Basically, checked all the things I look for in my crispy ginger beef. Got also a few other things: - Shrimp pakora: Pretty good! The coating wasn't too thick, shrimp-to-fillong ratio was fine, and while it was chewier than what I'm used to, that was actually a good thing. - Singaporean noodles: A miss for me. I opened up the takeout container and smelled the curry and got so excited. Too bad the dish didn't live up to that initial smell. It wasn't bad, just a bit dry and would have wanted a slightly stronger curry taste. - Mango lassi: Thick, yogurty, strong mango flavour. I really enjoyed Danforth Dragon. And needless to say, if you do stop by, make sure to try the crispy ginger beef.

Why is this place not on any of the big "best pizza in Toronto" lists? Why has the city made me work so hard to finally find a pizza worth ordering again and again and again? I've spent 20+ years looking for a good, old fashioned, tasty pizza in Toronto—a place that cares about the quality of the cheese used, makes a damn good sauce and has just the right level of toasted crust. I finally found it all with my very first order from this long-time establishment, and that order was the House Special. Thank you Danforth Pizza House, you've become my first go-to pizza joint in the city.

Pizza was very tasty. Sauce had a nice balance of acidity and sweetness. Crust was nicely cooked! I also got the garlic knots which were quite tough- I suspect they are old dough that is used. The garlic vinaigrette and Parmesan topping was nice tho!

The pizza was great. The pizza had a good amount of toppings and a lot of cheese. We ate the pizza there. There is only a small area to sit. The staff was very kind. Though the place is small it has a very welcoming and cozy feel.

Danforth Pizza House is a charming, family-owned restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner’s sons, who run the place, are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I tried their special, and while the pizza was fresh and well-made, I found it a bit lacking in flavor. The sauce and dough could use a bit more seasoning or salt to bring out the flavors. That being said, it’s still a great spot for a casual meal. Keep in mind, they only accept cash, so be sure to come prepared!💵

Makkah Restaurant offers a wide variety of Bangladeshi halal dishes with plenty of options to choose from. The taste is average – nothing extraordinary but decent if you’re craving deshi food. Prices are a bit on the higher side considering it’s self-service. The good part is they have enough seating space, so finding a spot to sit isn’t usually a problem. You may try if you’re nearby and want Bangladeshi food.

My brother, cousin, and I stopped at Makkah Indian Restaurant on the Danforth for lunch while exploring the area, and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and perfectly spiced. I ordered my go-to Palak Paneer, and it was spot on: creamy, rich, and just the right amount of spice. The portions were generous, prices fair, and the service was warm and welcoming. We all left saying the same thing — we’d definitely come back. Steak lover? You have got to try Bihari/Behari kebab. The flavors in Bihari kebab are often described as rich, aromatic, and savory, with a blend of spices that enhance the tenderness of the meat. The spices used are typically warm and aromatic rather than hot, creating a depth of flavor that's both comforting and satisfying. It's a dish that can leave you feeling like you've had a truly delightful culinary experience! Usually served with Naan which i found theirs to be soft and perfectly made. I am coming back for more and trying out other dishes for sure.

I’m not sure why but I really love this place, has a home cooked feel to it. I have ordered from here a few times and I like the rice and chicken from the biriyani, could be more spicy-i might just be numb to it tho. I also tried the chicken samosa and chicken roll. Got the Samosa fresh and hot and was great!!! Enjoyed the sauce that came with it. The roll was cold and I feel like I’ve had better take your chance with it tho because normally their food is great. Also had butter chicken and it was very sweet and lots of chicken, personally I would have preferred more sauce. I enjoyed the veggies it came with wish there was more!!! Yummy meal

We were visiting Toronto and recommended this spot by some locals we ran into, so we decided to go and it was totally worth it! It's got a great old school feel and vibe from the aesthetic to the staff. The burger was the best of many I had that trip, and the Greek food was also very good. I can't wait to get back to Toronto for another round at Square Boy!

Stepping Back in Time for a Burger Delight! Square boy a original retro burger joint that perfectly fits the Danforth areas vibe and has been there for decades, it hit all the right notes for a fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the retro vibe was charming, but it was the genuinely warm and welcoming customer service that really set the stage. The staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. I got the Double Cheeseburger and a side of Gravy Fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger was a hefty, satisfying. The patties were juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the toppings were fresh. It was a classic burger done right, and it definitely hit the spot. The Gravy Fries. These were a standout! The fries themselves were wonderfully crispy, just the way I like them, and packed a great flavor on their own. Doused in a savory, rich gravy, they were an absolutely addictive side. The whole meal came in at around $13, which I felt was excellent value, especially considering the generous portion size of the burger and the quality of the food. If you're looking for a delicious, unpretentious burger experience with top-notch service and a cool retro atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a gem!

Passed by hundreds of times but this was a 1st visit. If you like Johnny's in Scarborough then you will definitely like Square Boy. Great food, we'll cooked even when busy. Great friendly service even when busy. Inside seating is all booths, so big guys like me either take out or sit on the covered patio in front of SB. Prices very reasonable and is worth revisiting. Chicken Souvlaki on a bun had big juicy chunks of chicken. Really tasty. CASH ONLY. They have a no-name ATM if you need it.

An old fashion burger house which was not following typical nowadays burger style in North America ;) I enjoyed their style and it tasted good for the combination, but there was something off with burger itself for me. I am not sure if it was mixed with something or it wasn’t beef burger in general. And make sure you have cash with you.

I visited back on April 22 with three friends, and how fitting that this local spot is in Greektown because they sell Greek food which I love! I recommend the chicken souvlaki on a pita, it is really good! I will definitely be back here soon!

Considering what we paid it was an underwhelming experience. The food was good but it felt heavily overpriced considering what we got (see photo). We paid $90 for a modest amount of sushi. Not more than a week ago we got well over double the equally tasty sushi for only $50 more from another local Japanese restaurant. They obviously don't specialize in the type of sushi that our family is looking for (we almost exclusively eat maki, sashimi and related raw fish rolls and aren't looking for other Japanese dishes, especially any non fish meat dishes) so I can't fault them for that. I do wish for them to succeed because they are a local business but the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening at 6.30 pm. That doesn't bode well for their longevity. Perhaps it's time to reevaluate the menu slightly to cater to what our unrefined Canadian palate is looking for in a sushi dish, lots of fish--maki, sashimi, etc.

Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!! This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious. The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba. It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work. We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out. It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

Wow I had such delicious and satisfying meal ☺️ I ordered the Karaage Ramen (karaage was put on the side, which I prefer) and it was so yummy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! And the service was excellent 👌 ahh overall I'd recommend visiting this quiet, kawaii, and cozy little spot on Danforth!! You won't regret it ❤️❤️

Madina Pizza & Wings is hands down one of the best spots in Toronto for comfort food. The pizza is always fresh, loaded with toppings, and has the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. Been coming here since 90s I can say for a Halal spot they offer more then the basic options Halal pizza spots have to offer. First time I ever tried pineapples on a pizza was here when I was a kid and ever since then I have returned for pineapples and ground beef. Love the brothers there always respectful and friendly. So I ordered the Bogo deal on UberEats for a pepperoni pizza and also added 16 pcs chicken wings and potato wedges. So apparently the restaurant handed the incorrect order to the Uber rider and my order was wrongly delivered. I called the restaurant to check if they handed two or one pizza to the rider and they owned up to their mistake in handing just one pizza. They apologised and said that the restaurant was very busy and therefore this error. They personally came to drop off the other pizza which I definitely appreciate despite the delay. They dropped off the pizza and apologised again. Now coming to the food. I quite enjoyed the wings. They were tasting delicious and the honey garlic sauce hit the right spot! The pizza was great as well. Freshly baked dough and generous portions of pepperoni . I’d probably not want to order the potato wedges the next time but definitely ordering the pizza and wings again. I like to support local businesses that go the extra mile to give their customers a better experience.

I have never in my life ordered more food while I was eating ever, at any restaurant till now. It was so good we ordered more halfway though the meal. This is where you need to be eating authentic Mexican food. We knew it was going to be good when we walked by and there was cheerful Mexican music drawing us in and the specials were handwritten on Bristol board tapped to the window. Anyone who knows about good food, knows what the signs are of an authentic spot when they see it. This restaurant did not disappoint. The service was great and the staff were so warm and inviting. We got a variety of items and all were hot, fresh and delicious. Two things that just blew us away were the range of toppings and sauces they bring to your table for you to use as you see fit - the chilies and pineapple put that on their chicken burrito and you are welcome! I wish I had gotten a photo it was a few different hot sauces, toppings, guacamole and fixings. As well as that the burritos had no rice it’s was all meat and beautifully flavoured vegetables. They bring fresh roasted chilies and onions to your table! I have never ever had Mexican food this good in Toronto. You need to come here and yes it’s a little hole in the wall type but I promise you Anthony Bourdain would eat here, you should too.

Such a fun and bustling spot. Tried the tacos, quesadilla, and tres leches, and all of them were pretty good. Particularly enjoyed the tacos, which had a good amount of meat for the price. And especially loved all the different types of sauce they give you. If you're looking for a simple chow down meal that won't hurt your wallet and comes with a lively atmosphere, this is a spot to try.

Man food here is fire! I’ve been going to the morning side one and it’s nice to be able to inside and eat it while it’s hot! I got a 12inch Philly sub and my wife got pasta- both combos She could only eat half so I had half her pasta and half my sub. Today I warmed up other half of My Philly in my air fryer as I ate through my philly there was a hair melted in between the cheese . I had to pull it out to ensure it in fact was a hair piece! Truly disappointed at the hygiene of the place and what they were doing at the back while preparing food… another customer complained that they forgot to add the steak to his Philly Mac pasta ! The lady who took our order was super helpful and was delivering food to tables and cleaning up right away!

Comfort food at its no frills chowdown finest. Stopped by for dinner and got: - Triple Threat Mac: Ooey gooey mac and cheese with chunks of beef, chicken and shrimp. While I would have liked a bit more protein, amount was reasonable. And the cheesiness was sublime. - Bobby's Smash Burger Combo: Burger was like an elevated big mac in taste. Liked how the side could be wings or shrimp instead of just fries. Went with the shrimp and got it costed with lemon garlic, and it was crunchy tasty. Food is halal. Lots of people taking out while we were there, but there's a dine-in area and a couple of tvs where they were playing sports. Prices are ok. People are friendly. Fuego's is a fire place for a simple meal.

This place as been around since I’ve been a kid, (2005) they know what they are doing when it comes to quality food! Love their Philly cheesesteak! It’s a must to at least grab once a week! Got their chicken and hands down biggest chicken and juicy chicken in the area! Love the staff always smiling and very good vibes!

My experience at City Fried Chicken was fantastic. On separate visits, I tried the cheeseburger and the Philly cheesesteak. The cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful, and the Philly cheesesteak was perfectly cooked and delicious. I initially came to just use the washroom, but the aroma of the restaurant and empty stomach led me to grab a bite. I ordered the fish burger, something most restaurants can't really make so well. I was surprised with the taste and how it was made fresh right in front of me. Sauces were great and the perfect amount of spice. Fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I will visit again. Definitely recommend.

I just had lunch there and I can safely say that this is a phenomenal spot to get food especially if you are getting over a cold or you are hung over lol. Ahmad is so sweet and he is an amazing chef who provides phenomenal customer service. The food is spicy. But if you could handle it, then you will also find it very flavorful. I came on a Thursday when their steak on fries is discounted and I bought it for $16.85. I got my food for diamond and I ended up having to get a takeout container because the portions are sizable. I recommend this place to everybody.
