3 Star Rating This was my go to Domino's spot, but as I told their evening manager- I won't be ordering any more pizzas from your location. And no, I don't want your free pizza. What's the point of a free pizza when I already wasted my money twice and time once taking instructions, your company refused to follow. After receiving a burnt pizza the first time, the day time manager told me to come in and request a lightly done, but cooked pizza so the cheese wouldn't be burned so much. So, that's exactly what I did. I ordered the pizza, even shown them based on their photos what I mean and the manager said "Don't worry, I completely understand and know what you want." Got home opened my box to receive the same exact thing I requested against. 🫣 What was the point of telling me "you have to let them know before ordering that you don't want the cheese to be burned like that" if you're still going to do it anyways. The wings as always were delicious. Juicy, fatty, and absolutely delicious 😋. The evening manager found my receipt and informed me that I verbally told them, but they didn't record it down. I was unaware of an alternative method to ordering a walk-in. How else was I supposed to make an order 😞. Wings are my favorite, pizza I will never order again. If anyone has any recommendations... please 🙏🏽 send them my way.

5 Star Rating This is a good location. Fast and friendly. Parking is tricky if you need it. With all the deals and discounts and a pretty good customer loyalty program, this is our go to cheap school night pizza choice. We usually get half sauce, because the sauce is peppery, and we are big fans of their sausage.

5 Star Rating It had been years since I had a Domino’s pizza and I was very happy with the reintroduction. My pizza was well cooked and the toppings flavourful. This isn’t a gourmet pizza, but it was a brilliant pizza for the price.

5 Star Rating I am disabled so I do not have money to spend on takeout but I can eat four meals on a medium pizza. I only had $30 cash and I tried all the streaming sites. Totally unaffordable. I had a seizure around 5 am and I am hurting. I am barely making it through.I finally called dominos pizza on the Danforth. A fellow named Billy was so gracious and professional and very understanding. It took a while for me to make up my mind and he never made me feel bad . He took the time and patience with me to order within my amount. I'm very pleased and I will definitely order from them again and I am going to tell all my friends and family about my positive experience.

5 Star Rating We just threw a party for about 30 people and got Danforth Dragon to cater. We ordered based on their good reviews since we’ve never tried their food before and they didn’t disappoint! The chef gave great suggestions. Food was fresh and delicious. Platters were priced fairly and the portions were huge. We highly recommend for your next party or just want great Hakka food.

5 Star Rating Danforth Dragon is one of our favourite Hakka restaurants. My partner and I have been coming for the two tofu lunch specials for quite some time now. Always great. We recently reached out and asked Danforth Dragon to do a catered event for about 30 people. The food was tasty (everyone asked where the food was from), reasonably priced and exactly what we negotiated down to delivery time and portions. Thank you and see you soon.

5 Star Rating After all these years, Danforth Dragon remains truly legendary. The crispy ginger beef is still one of the best in the city, with a sweet-savoury crispy coating over tender beef. The shrimp fried rice is generous with the protein and tasty with the rice. The portion sizes can feed a flight of dragons. The prices remain reasonable, and the service remains quick. Overall, still a great spot to chow down. --- Original Review: Holy Hakka, the crispy ginger beef is amazing!!! I've tried hakka a few times and the crispy ginger beef is my go-to test of how good it is. Gotta say, Danforth Dragon did not disappoint. The beef was crispy without being hard and jerky-like in texture, the garlic flavour really came through, and the overall taste was sweet/spicy-but-leaning-towards-sweet. Basically, checked all the things I look for in my crispy ginger beef. Got also a few other things: - Shrimp pakora: Pretty good! The coating wasn't too thick, shrimp-to-fillong ratio was fine, and while it was chewier than what I'm used to, that was actually a good thing. - Singaporean noodles: A miss for me. I opened up the takeout container and smelled the curry and got so excited. Too bad the dish didn't live up to that initial smell. It wasn't bad, just a bit dry and would have wanted a slightly stronger curry taste. - Mango lassi: Thick, yogurty, strong mango flavour. I really enjoyed Danforth Dragon. And needless to say, if you do stop by, make sure to try the crispy ginger beef.

5 Star Rating Why is this place not on any of the big "best pizza in Toronto" lists? Why has the city made me work so hard to finally find a pizza worth ordering again and again and again? I've spent 20+ years looking for a good, old fashioned, tasty pizza in Toronto—a place that cares about the quality of the cheese used, makes a damn good sauce and has just the right level of toasted crust. I finally found it all with my very first order from this long-time establishment, and that order was the House Special. Thank you Danforth Pizza House, you've become my first go-to pizza joint in the city.

4 Star Rating Danforth Pizza House is a charming, family-owned restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The owner’s sons, who run the place, are very friendly and make you feel right at home. I tried their special, and while the pizza was fresh and well-made, I found it a bit lacking in flavor. The sauce and dough could use a bit more seasoning or salt to bring out the flavors. That being said, it’s still a great spot for a casual meal. Keep in mind, they only accept cash, so be sure to come prepared!💵

Don't even get me started on the cheese and homemade sauce. Recent renos to the space upgraded, but owners salvaged the 50+ years nostalgic signs, etc... Total pros.

4 Star Rating Makkah Restaurant offers a wide variety of Bangladeshi halal dishes with plenty of options to choose from. The taste is average – nothing extraordinary but decent if you’re craving deshi food. Prices are a bit on the higher side considering it’s self-service. The good part is they have enough seating space, so finding a spot to sit isn’t usually a problem. You may try if you’re nearby and want Bangladeshi food.

5 Star Rating We were visiting Toronto and recommended this spot by some locals we ran into, so we decided to go and it was totally worth it! 4 Star Rating Stepping Back in Time for a Burger Delight! Square boy a original retro burger joint that perfectly fits the Danforth areas vibe and has been there for decades, it hit all the right notes for a fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the retro vibe was charming, but it was the genuinely warm and welcoming customer service that really set the stage. The staff were attentive, friendly, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. I got the Double Cheeseburger and a side of Gravy Fries, and I was not disappointed. The burger was a hefty, satisfying. The patties were juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the toppings were fresh. It was a classic burger done right, and it definitely hit the spot. The Gravy Fries. These were a standout! The fries themselves were wonderfully crispy, just the way I like them, and packed a great flavor on their own. Doused in a savory, rich gravy, they were an absolutely addictive side. The whole meal came in at around $13, which I felt was excellent value, especially considering the generous portion size of the burger and the quality of the food. If you're looking for a delicious, unpretentious burger experience with top-notch service and a cool retro atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s a gem!

3 Star Rating It is typical in Japan to have cold noodles during the summer so I decided on cold noodles too. I had the Zaru soba this time. This is a very simple noodle dish but very tasty and also very healthy. The dish comes with a dipping sauce (mentsuyu). Noodles topped with sliced seaweed (nori) with diced green onions and some wasabi on the side. I would have preferred more green onions especially when it really adds flavour and not an expensive ingredient. One item missing I always look for is shichimi togarashi (red chilli powder mix). Zaru soba is buckwheat noodles and these were done just right. Not too soft. The mentsuyu is shoyu and fish stock based. If you are looking for something uniquely different from ramen, Zaru soba is a great option. Nakayoshi Izakaya is not just a ramen shop but a full Japanese menu restaurant. Great selection suitable for anyone looking for variety of Japanese food.

5 Star Rating Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!! This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

5 Star Rating We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious. The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba. It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work. We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out. It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

2 Star Rating Considering what we paid it was an underwhelming experience. The food was good but it felt heavily overpriced considering what we got (see photo). We paid $90 for a modest amount of sushi. Not more than a week ago we got well over double the equally tasty sushi for only $50 more from another local Japanese restaurant. They obviously don't specialize in the type of sushi that our family is looking for (we almost exclusively eat maki, sashimi and related raw fish rolls and aren't looking for other Japanese dishes, especially any non fish meat dishes) so I can't fault them for that. I do wish for them to succeed because they are a local business but the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening at 6.30 pm. That doesn't bode well for their longevity. Perhaps it's time to reevaluate the menu slightly to cater to what our unrefined Canadian palate is looking for in a sushi dish, lots of fish--maki, sashimi, etc.

5 Star Rating Wow I had such delicious and satisfying meal ☺️ I ordered the Karaage Ramen (karaage was put on the side, which I prefer) and it was so yummy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! And the service was excellent 👌 ahh overall I'd recommend visiting this quiet, kawaii, and cozy little spot on Danforth!! You won't regret it ❤️❤️

Only feedback would be if they can do a rectangle pizza “party pizza” it would be better for large groups to share and would be an incentive for corporate catering. Nice quality and taste. 5 Star Rating Winner for best all-around tacos in the hood, with the loveliest, most golden hearted folks who work here. Tacos are a standout and authentic as can be — in a variety of mouthwatering, tenderized meats (still need to get the tripe when it’s not sold out, but the tongue and pastor are excellent!), supported in a sturdy double wrap with a plethora of sauces and salsas for garnish. I am a big sauce person and their sauces are awesome and diverse and an added flavour bomb, I always save them for future meals! Bonus: first ever taco joint I’ve seen in the city that gives you a free side of limes, fried onions and mild jalapeños… could I love you anymore??? Quality and extra care is outstanding! The volcanes is like a giant tortilla chip with melted cheese, and come with about 2lbs of meat sitting on top (I’m not really exaggerating). My partner and I were blown away by the chorizo. The flan is delicious, and their other desserts look equally so. Lastly, I want to bring attention to two separate, shining examples of community stewardship: my partner had wanted to buy a meal for a homeless gentleman and the staff proceeded to cover it and even let him sit down to enjoy it, no questions asked. On a more recent excursion, someone with visible mental health issues was also treated with heartwarming hospitality and generosity. I witnessed the man in question actually kiss the hand of the staff member he was speaking with. I’m of the belief that there would be less crime if we could only keep people who are hungry, fed and nourished. It is really wonderful to see restaurants - and the individuals behind them - like this that support the community. It makes such a difference.

5 Star Rating I have never in my life ordered more food while I was eating ever, at any restaurant till now. It was so good we ordered more halfway though the meal. This is where you need to be eating authentic Mexican food. We knew it was going to be good when we walked by and there was cheerful Mexican music drawing us in and the specials were handwritten on Bristol board tapped to the window. Anyone who knows about good food, knows what the signs are of an authentic spot when they see it. This restaurant did not disappoint. The service was great and the staff were so warm and inviting. We got a variety of items and all were hot, fresh and delicious. Two things that just blew us away were the range of toppings and sauces they bring to your table for you to use as you see fit - the chilies and pineapple put that on their chicken burrito and you are welcome! I wish I had gotten a photo it was a few different hot sauces, toppings, guacamole and fixings. As well as that the burritos had no rice it’s was all meat and beautifully flavoured vegetables. They bring fresh roasted chilies and onions to your table! I have never ever had Mexican food this good in Toronto. You need to come here and yes it’s a little hole in the wall type but I promise you Anthony Bourdain would eat here, you should too.

2 Star Rating Man food here is fire! I’ve been going to the morning side one and it’s nice to be able to inside and eat it while it’s hot! I got a 12inch Philly sub and my wife got pasta- both combos She could only eat half so I had half her pasta and half my sub. Today I warmed up other half of My Philly in my air fryer as I ate through my philly there was a hair melted in between the cheese . I had to pull it out to ensure it in fact was a hair piece! Truly disappointed at the hygiene of the place and what they were doing at the back while preparing food… another customer complained that they forgot to add the steak to his Philly Mac pasta ! The lady who took our order was super helpful and was delivering food to tables and cleaning up right away!

2 Star Rating Came here this evening with my wife and young kids. We initially planned to dine in and even moved tables to accommodate our family. While waiting, a group of young men nearby were extremely loud, using excessive profanity, and behaving aggressively, with no regard for the fact that small children were present (there was another father also with his young child too). At one point, it even felt like a fight might break out. The dining space is quite small (roughly 15 people), so it was impossible to avoid the situation. Because we didn’t feel comfortable exposing our kids to that environment, we decided to switch to takeout. When I raised the concern with staff, it was acknowledged, but no action was taken. There really needs to be a basic code of conduct and zero tolerance for this kind of behavior—especially for a restaurant that has “halal” in its name and is located a block away from Madinah Masjid. Our community spaces should feel safe and welcoming for families. We ended up driving 20 minutes back home to eat cold food. The burgers were delicious, and the pasta tasted good, but the pasta had very little meat, which was disappointing. We spent about $90 tonight, and unfortunately, given the overall experience, we likely won’t be returning unless the restaurant makes it family friendly at all times.

I ordered a large which is basically 2 , 6 inch sub sized sandwiches. Individually wrapped. The portion was HUGE ! Alfredo was super saucy and good. Highly recommend this place 👌

5 Star Rating I had the pleasure of visiting City Fried Chicken today, located at the corner of Donlands and Danforth, and I must say — it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine welcome by the gentleman at the front — who I believe is the owner. His friendliness and hospitality instantly set the tone for the visit. He not only made us feel comfortable but also took the time to suggest some of the best items on the menu. It’s rare to find such personalized service these days, and it truly made the visit memorable. The ambiance of the place is simple yet exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is always a great sign when it comes to food spots. It’s clear that the team takes pride in both their food and their environment. Now, let’s talk about the food — simply outstanding. I’ve tried fried chicken from all the big-name chains, but this place honestly blew them out of the water. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It’s clear that everything is made with care and attention to detail. Not only is the quality impressive, but the prices are very reasonable, making it a perfect budget-friendly option without compromising on taste or cleanliness. Overall, this hidden gem deserves way more attention. Whether you’re a fried chicken lover or just looking for a delicious and affordable meal, City Fried Chicken is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended

It’s a must to at least grab once a week! Got their chicken and hands down biggest chicken and juicy chicken in the area! Love the staff always smiling and very good vibes!
