5 Star Rating Adega has been in the Toronto scene serving delicious Portuguese cuisine for eternity and there is a reason for that, this place is just that great. Impecable white linen service and fresh delicious food that will delight anyone. We came here for lunch and that was an awesome decision. I highly recommend this restaurant nestled on Elm Street.

4 Star Rating Great service, and we had some great dishes but some dishes had similar ingredients and were not of consistent quality/cooking. We would highly reccomend the shrimp bisque, octopus and pork belly and whole red snapper, however there should be some consideration into calling an item a signature dish and then serving an overcooked octopus for a main signature dish, which we had to send back. Also the mashed potatoes on the lamb could be improved and were average. Overall the atmosphere was great and we loved the booth cubby holes that gave you an intimate setting.

4 Star Rating Food here was tasty, but not extraordinary. I feel like for what you pay, the dishes were a bit on the blander/simpler side - there was nothing that really stood out to me. The restaurant itself was nice and the service was great, though! It’s a nice place to have dinner with friends or go on a date.

5 Star Rating A really fabulous seafood restaurant really great service our server Dimitri was outstanding. He gave us time to select our drinks, order our appetizers, main courses etc. The seafood was so fresh and tasty. I usually go to their other restaurants Chiado and Salt all highly recommended. Perfect for a date night, with friends or a special celebration.

2 Star Rating I loved the vibe and ambiance of the place, unfortunately, I didn't quite enjoy the food. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere and the service was prompt and friendly. However, the breakfast options didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor and quality. Despite this, I appreciate the effort put into creating a welcoming environment.

3 Star Rating My experience here was good. Standard breakfast food. Good service, good food and a good atmosphere. The senator is priced at a higher tier than other neighboring breakfast places. Doesn't offer much for the price. The menu is really confusing as it doesn't allow you to get separate items. Maybe if you ask ? Good place to try... Maybe just for tourists and not locals. Cute booths :)

5 Star Rating #TheSenator Review from March 2023…#SundayBrunch at #Torontos oldest, continuously run restaurant, in the same place. Luckily they’ve survived the pandemic, unfortunately they still haven’t returned to full menus and full daily meals. However Brunch today was fabulous. $5 #mimosas made with fresh juice and Prosecco was a wonderful beginning to our meal. #coffee #tea and #warmAppleCider accompanied our dishes. My husband ordered the #buttermilkPancakes with fresh #AppleCompote and #mapleSyrup he really enjoyed them. He also enjoyed a lovely side of #Bacon. I went with their brunch special. While not a full English breakfast, which I had hoped to order, It did have #bakedBeans #eggsOverEasy wonderfully cooked #homeFries #ChallahToast and to make it Canadian I had luscious #peaMealBacon I was fortunate to eat it with some #HPSauce which made it English. The server said they discontinued the Full English Breakfast due to people not eating the Blood Pudding, Heathens!! Overall a wonderful yummy brunch, in a cool place, with an old jazz vibe. My husband talked about eating at The Senator back in his University days or eating lunch while working down the street. I love hearing and seeing Toronto history, I’m glad I had the opportunity to eat here, I’d visit again #eatLocal #LocallySourced #TorontoHistory #TheSenatorRestaurant

5 Star Rating My husband and I stopped in after a day-long bus tour of Toranto. We were needing a warm drink before getting on the road for the 2 hour return to Niagara Falls, Ontario. They were very busy with reservations but happily welcomed us at the bar for delicious coffee. The server even gave us a refill to go. The bar tender and the manager both took time to answer a couple of questions about the restaurant. Loved the vintage vibe! Would definitely reserve a table if we're back in Toronto!

4 Star Rating Always a great choice for a good Thai meal in the downtown core. The food is always fresh and delicious. Be careful of the spicy rating, for most people 2 or 3 chilli's is a reasonable spice level 😂, go higher at your own responsibility 😜. The place is wheelchair accessible and being on the second floor there could be a reasonable view, depending where you sit. Recommend the sticky rice mango desert. Overall a positive experience. Two thumbs up 👍👍.

The food is always fresh and tasty, and the wait time is good. I love how helpful the employees are, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. 5 Star Rating We went to Salad King after many years and the food brought back so many memories. The food is amazing and we both got the Thai Islamic Noodles. Service is fast and very efficient, but we always feel rushed there. Their turnover of customers is always so quick. Mind you, it is a student spot so this makes sense. Regardless, this restaurant has the best Thai food and it is well worth it!

5 Star Rating The first time I ate at this place was in 2009. I’m glad this place still here and continues to serve tasty food. I love their curry coconut soups, it’s already a bit spicy, but if you want to add more they can do it up to 20 chilis. The portions are big and some look small but fulfilling. Salad King made me fall in love with Thai cuisine.

5 Star Rating The most wonderful place for my girls and I to celebrate a birthday! The atmosphere and the servers were all so kind and welcoming, we were recommended a wine that we LOVED and the staff could not have been more kind when we requested a special birthday tiramisu! This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way, and the food and warm starter bread was to DIE for! The lobster pasta was our favourite, it was a special of the day so try asking for it as it’s not on the menu. We’ll be back every year until we’re too old to talk!

5 Star Rating When I checked out their menu before I went in, I was not keen on their menu. Menu seemed rather boring. I was wrong. I was amazed by how cozy and comfortable it looked as soon as I walked in. I loved the atmosphere right away. I was amazed that we ordered butternut squash and crab ravioli that was off menu items( they used to have on the menu), without hesitation they would make them for us. Ravioli dough was for sure made from scratch, that means they probably added stuffing and cooked to order. How special is that they would do that when restaurant was a full house? And my ravioli was delish! Whatever they did with the sauce was like thick gravy and I wiped my plate with extra bread. I was also amazed by how generous portion size was. I was stuffed after my ravioli & friend’s salmon dish was like 1.5 portions size. And the price was very resonable. Highly recommend this place.

3 Star Rating 3 Brewers is a chain of restaurants/pubs that offer similar services across its locations. The beer is average, but it is fairly priced during happy hour time. The poutine with the special fries is very good and so are the nachos. Never order the Calamari, it is very oily and just not good. A few tables have street view, which I like.

4 Star Rating I sampled the nachos, poutine, and enjoyed a few drinks at 3 Brewers. While the food and drinks were satisfactory, I found the place a bit outdated. Navigating multiple stairs to reach the washroom was inconvenient. Additionally, some items on the menu seemed overpriced. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience was decent, and the staff was friendly. A bit of modernization and price adjustments could enhance the overall appeal.

5 Star Rating This place is great! I came here after work for my husband's friend's birthday. The environment is pretty chill and the staff are friendly and attentive. We shared a bunch of dishes as well as had several different drinks. I'm not a beer person, but my husband's friends are and they really like their beer. What stood out to me is their flammekueche. It's pretty much like a flatbread pizza but they cook it really nicely so it's crispy and flavourful. We also shared some sliders which were nice as well. Overall, I'd come here again because the atmosphere is great :)

5 Star Rating Had a wonderful time at Barberian’s to celebrate my boyfriend’s milestone birthday! The service was exceptional and he felt so special. The owner even came by to wish him a happy birthday. I called ahead to ask if they do anything special for birthdays and they had a few options including a special dessert and a really great table. Our server offered to take our photo on more than one occasion recognizing the celebration and that was appreciated. It’s definitely got that old school vibe with really interesting art on the walls that makes you feel like you’re in a piece of history! The food was incredible. We got a rib eye steak and a strip loin both cooked to perfection. Shared a salad, and got the onion rings and mushrooms as sides. The onion rings were the best I’ve ever had!! Also a shout out to the baked potato’s that get custom toppings made at your table - loved that! I’m looking forward to going back sometime soon!

4 Star Rating 1st time trying Barberian's after hearing so much about it (and living less than 10min walk from it). It was my partner's birthday so I took him there. We ordered Caesar salad, escargot, porterhouse and dry aged rib steak to share. The steaks were the highlight and we both enjoyed the rib steak the best compared to the porterhouse. Mind you, the 24oz porterhouse was still excellent but you can't beat a nicely dry aged steak. The only thing I didn't really care for was the Caesar salad because I know I could make a better dressing from scratch. And for $26, I didn't think it was worth it. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I informed the waiter we are sharing everything so all dishes were already split in half for us when they arrive. Even the side of baked potatoe for 1 steak and fries for the others were split for us. That was unexpected and much appreciated. Although a little pricey, overall it was a great meal and it's a place I'd go for special occasions.

5 Star Rating Barberian’s Steakhouse is an absolute gem in the heart of Toronto, and it has rightfully earned its place as my favorite steakhouse in the city. With a rich history dating back to 1959, this classic old school establishment has been delighting the palates of Toronto residents for generations. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with an ambiance that exudes elegance and warmth. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the steak. Each bite of their mouthwatering steak is a culinary delight, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Whether you prefer it rare, medium, or well-done, Barberian’s knows how to satisfy even the most discerning steak connoisseur. But it's not just the food that keeps me coming back; it's the impeccable service that truly sets Barberian’s apart. From the moment you're seated to the moment you leave, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They're attentive, friendly, and always ready to cater to your every need. My wife and I have made it a tradition to treat ourselves to Barberian’s every Valentine's Day, and it's a decision we never regret. If you're looking for the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a top-notch dining experience, look no further than Barberian’s Steakhouse. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Treat yourself and your loved ones to Barberian’s – you deserve it.

3 Star Rating Nice cozy place in downtown Toronto. Comparing to the other food scenes in Toronto, it’s subpar. Good steak but may not have cooked consistently. My friend ordered a medium steak but it was bleeding more than my medium rear steak. The onion rings were heavily battered but pretty good. 5 Star Rating My recent visit to Bangkok Garden was nothing short of amazing! Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the beautiful ambiance, reminiscent of a quaint Thai setting. It felt like a mini getaway to the heart of Thailand right in the heart of Toronto. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We decided to try the curry bowls and the Beef wok, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The curry, in particular, stood out to me. It had just the right balance of flavors and was mildly spicy, with a delightful crunch from the crushed cashews. If you're feeling extra hungry, I recommend adding a side of rice to complement the curry perfectly. The Beef wok was also delicious, with tender meat and a delectable sauce that left us wanting more. Overall, Bangkok Garden offers a truly romantic dining experience with exceptional food and service. I can't wait to return for more unforgettable meals!

2 Star Rating Honestly, I was really hoping to enjoy my visit here, but I didn’t. I very regularly visit different Thai food places around Toronto (at least 2-3x per month). I love trying new food. I went in a group of 4 to try Bangkok Garden for Winterlicious. None of us have really heard of the restaurant before, but we wanted to try something new. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but it’s a large location with a nice little fish pond. We were hopeful. The food came out quick, but the servers were inattentive. The food, frankly, was awful. We finished our appetizers, but not one person at the table finished our mains or desserts. They claim to be authentic Thai, but we found our food to be incredibly bland and incredibly westernized (the entire Pad Thai reeked of ketchup…) Quite frankly, we immediately took an Uber to a different Thai restaurant in the East End. The price was sort of expensive, especially for the quality of the food. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend it someone else.

4 Star Rating Beautiful restaurant - the atmosphere is stylish and comfortable. Food is nicely presented and very tasty. Although not on their current website menu, the in-house menu had a few more choices, so I enjoyed the Emerald Curry (green curry) with small rice noodles and shrimp. Lovely flavour and very mild. Service was polite, attentive and efficient.

5 Star Rating I had the best date ever with my boyfriend here! The waitress named Kala was the sweetest and most wholesome person we’ve met and she recommended all of the best dishes to us! The flavour, the taste and the atmosphere really made us fall in love with this Thai restaurant! We definitely recommend going here for Thai food!

5 Star Rating Loved the Hard Rock Café!!!. The food was excellent. The service was amazing and the beer was cold. Cannot wait to make my way back to the Café. A must, if you are hitting up T-dot.

3 Star Rating This is a Hard Rock Cafe and you will find, feel and eat whatever you expect from a Hard Rock Cafe. They have nice burgers, sandwiches, several appetizers, etc., various drinks and tasty lemonades (my basil lemonade was soooo good and refreshing, I would drink 20 of those one after the other :) ). It is true that, if you focus only on the food, it is a bit overpriced. Thing is, I love rock music, I love burgers and sandwiches, aaaand this is a great combination of both.
