Octopus was very soft. Tasty. However, everything else was very salty. Be prepared to drink a lot of water.. atmosphere was great. Service, alright, they had our food written down wrong, they were quick about it. That's it. Octopus can be prepared in 10mins.. so... cool.

2025 February 3.5★
Located in the busy downtown center, steps away from the square, this street is a bit quieter with various exquisite restaurants, this being one of them.
Being two floors with a private basement room, there's seating for about 25 tables + 4 patio tables in the summer.
Each table is well spaced, so your table is personable.
Tuna Tartare 21
Not bad. Lemon Vinegarette. As expected.
Squid App Dinner 23
Grilled squid with artichokes, pineapple, yellow bell peppers and lemon. Very good. Tender, soft and flavorful with a smokey flavor. Would recommend.
Robalo Dinner 65
GRILLED WHOLE MEDITERRANEAN SEABASS mediterranean salsa. This was ok. Though a bit drier than I expected.
Steak Lobster 68
GRILLED STRIPLOIN STEAK & Maine LOBSTER TAIL. cognac, peppercorn sauce. The steak was overcooked and same with the lobster. Obviously didn't really pay attention to the timing.
Creme Brulee 15
Creamy egg custard. Crispy sugar crust. Fruits and hint of lychee. Actually pretty good. Would recommend.
Overall, for the price, it was ok. Service was ok. Came in first and was told to wait a second. Someone came after, stepped in front of us and ended up being taken care of first. Some notable items but the mains were a bit off. Also, for a quieter restaurant, the doors bang loudly offsetting the mood - was on the second floor and it was annoying.
Paid parking on the street steps away.

All the dishes we ordered was good. Especially the grilled squid. However the pastel de nata was served cold.

I host many dinners for clients around Toronto, Adega Is in the top 3 for food quality, service and reasonable price. Thanks to Franco & Nathan for the wonderful experience!!

The Senator is a charming little spot that feels like stepping into a cozy, old-school diner with a touch of elegance. The inside is very cute and quaint, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay about twice as much as you would at somewhere like Sunset Grill. But in this case, you’re absolutely getting what you pay for. The breakfast is delicious—easily more than twice as tasty, so take that for what it's worth. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the crispy bacon and perfectly toasted bread.
The staff are also lovely, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be an everyday spot for the budget-conscious, it’s absolutely worth the splurge every now and then for a truly enjoyable breakfast.

The restaurant is VERY small. It is recommended you make reservations.
The food was very tasty and was served hot & fresh. The portion are a good size.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The washrooms are in the basement (not wheelchair accessible) and could use an upgrade/update.
It is located at Dundas St & Victoria St. Conveniently across from the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre and near Dundas Square.
Parking is available right next door (outdoor) or there is underground parking within a minute walk (less expensive)

Without a doubt, these are the best mussels in Toronto. The sauce pairs perfectly with the mussels, and when the pot is opened, the steam rises. The service at this restaurant is impeccable. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would.

The Senator is a timeless diner that keeps things classic—no fussy reinventions, just comfort food made with real quality. It’s the kind of place where lawyers, travelers, and suited regulars linger over a solid Americano or treat themselves to one of their sweet, decadent coffee creations. Bonus: there’s a full bar, too.
We’re smitten with the Senator Signature Sandwich: pillowy challah—an enriched egg bread—is griddled into golden French toast, then layered with ham, melted Swiss, and mayo. Served with a side of maple syrup for that perfect sweet-savory touch.
If you love a good club sandwich (and we definitely do), you’ll appreciate ths: tender roasted chicken breast—not deli meat—stacked with crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato, mayo, on toasted challah. Simple and very satisfying.
So not forget to order a side of their home fries!

Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life. Historic and quality. - we split two dishes to try more things from the menu. Pancakes are worth the hype. The booth designs are awesome. Walk out and bam, you’re right in the core of the madness. We had no wait at 11:30am on a Saturday.

Went on a weekday noon time with some folks from my office. It was a good idea that we had booked a table ahead of time, because the place was packed.
For the main course, you need to select the level of spiciness, probably best not to go adventurous on it as it can get really spicy.
My main course was Basil Chicken with a side of rice. It was very tasty and had good flavour.
I also tried the Vietnamese iced tea and it was excellent.
The staff are very helpful and fast.

I came on a weekday night and it was pretty busy, but not loud. The food was great value and flavour for the price, and Salad King is my new go-to when I don't know where to eat in the area! The curry was delicious and filling, and I recommend the chicken satay skewers as an appetizer - the peanut sauce really makes the dish pop! The waitress was nice and came to refill our water and check in often. Overall a great place if you're a student or go with a group of friends with good pricing and lots of seating!

Located near Toronto’s Eaton Center, Salad King focuses on Thai-inspired cuisine, offering a harmonious blend of spiciness, sweetness, and coconut fragrance. The Seafood Curry features tender squid and vegetables simmered in a rich coconut milk and chili sauce, allowing proteins and fats to merge for a velvety texture. The Crispy Beef Panang pairs the sweet and spicy essence of Panang curry with deep-fried beef, yielding a pleasing contrast of crunch and savory depth. Meanwhile, the Chicken Pad Thai employs fish sauce, tamarind paste, and crushed peanuts to achieve a nuanced interplay of sour, sweet, and salty, further enriched by eggs and vegetables for a balanced flavor profile.

Donatello Restaurant is a hidden gem in Toronto that truly captures the essence of old-school Italian dining. From the outside, it looks unassuming, but once you step inside, you’re welcomed into a warm and charming space that feels like a secret escape. The ambiance is classic and inviting, and the food is simply amazing. Rich flavors, high-quality ingredients, and perfectly executed dishes. Whether it’s pasta, seafood, or steak, every bite is a delight. With excellent service and an intimate atmosphere, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine.

Lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was exactly what I craved.
Felt like going to a friend's family event.
What a beautiful experience for a nice night out. The servers were very polite and funny, and the meal was 🤌
I live in Niagara Falls, and love Italian restaurants. This was such a great date while being so affordable. Couldn't recommend a more comfortable environment.

This was our second visit to Donatello Restaurant this year, and it's easily become one of our go-to spots in Toronto for dinner. Each time the servers were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. We enjoyed a delightful meal featuring the peppercorn steak, perfectly cooked lamb chops, salmon, tender grilled calamari, and a fresh, flavorful Caprese salad. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We look forward to returning every time we're in Toronto—Donatello never disappoints!

We always go back to Donatello when in Toronto. Food is always good and service too. We had appetizers of bruschetta and calamari. They were both very good. They gave us fresh bread to start and asked if we wanted more after we finished them. My husband had the veal in some sauce with pasta, one of the kids had the chicken breast with prosciutto and pasta, the other had the lobster pasta special and I had the calamari with pasta. We had the tiramisu and the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious. Will go again next time.

We had a fantastic time at 3 Brasseurs! From the moment we walked in, the place had a warm and inviting energy. Their in-house brewed beers were the highlight—rich in flavor, perfectly chilled, and full of character. Each of us tried a different type, and they all delivered.
The food was just as impressive. The flatbread pizza was thin and crispy with the perfect balance of toppings and sauce drizzle—savory, creamy, and delicious in every bite. The poke bowl was fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor, a great lighter option that still felt indulgent.
Service was friendly and fast, and the casual but vibrant atmosphere made it a great spot for catching up with friends. Whether you’re here for a pint or a full meal, 3 Brewers nails the balance between pub comfort and quality. Highly recommended!

Service was great! The food was so good, and the portions were big. So many variety of drinks - from beers to cocktails, to sangrias they have so many to choose from. The tiramisu was DELICIOUS!! It’s a must try when you come here. Will definitely come back.

The food was good, same as all the other bars.. Their tap beer was good and we enjoyed it.. (I’m positive cause we finished our 1 litre beer order!!)
The waitress was very nice and friendly.. Forgot her name but she’s blond and took care of us in the main floor..

A group of us dropped by 3 Brasseurs at noon on a Friday, and the place was completely empty. Despite that, service was slow—we had to flag down our server a few times while the staff stood around chatting.
Food-wise, the pizza was ok but nothing special. The chicken sliders were pretty sad—the patty was tiny, barely two-thirds the size of the slider bun.
Bottom line: come for the beer, but don’t expect much from the food or service.

What a wonderful place. Prior I had come for the Sunday roast and it was 10/10.
Today we came for lunch and Hannah our server was absolutely fabulous. She was so knowledgeable about the food, and was so supportive of our quick turn around. We had the three course menu, and the Avocado toast and it was incredible. As a rule I would say this is the only place I would ever order a salad again and again. The Kale salad is a show stopper. (I haven’t ever said that ever about kale) the Fish and Chip came along with a tartar sauce that dreams are made of and the most delicious mushy peas. And I think their sticky toffee pudding with the vanilla bean ice cream should stop time. It’s piping hot and puts our families secret recipe to shame. The prices reflect quality and the beauty and skill of the staff. Your drinks are filled, along with your tummy and heart.

I loved the vibes at this place! The rustic, old-world charm was exactly what I expected—such a cozy, inviting atmosphere. It wasn’t too busy when I visited on a Sunday at 3 PM, which made for a relaxed dining experience.
One thing that really caught my eye in the reviews was the use of purple cabbage. It looked so vibrant and fresh on the plate, and I couldn’t wait to see it for myself. I also noticed that the place didn’t have the best food pictures in the reviews, but I’m so glad I took a chance because the Sunday roast looked incredible. When the food arrived, it came quickly, and everything was beautifully presented. The meat was cooked perfectly medium-rare, just how I like it—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The gravy complemented the meat so well, adding that rich depth.
The veggies were spot on—cooked to perfection, not too soft or too firm, and seasoned just right. The Yorkshire pudding was delicious, with the perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and softness inside, though it was a little more eggy than I prefer.
For three of us, the total came to $130, which I thought was very reasonable considering we had three Sunday roasts and two mimosas. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend for a relaxed Sunday meal with great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Came here for winterlicious and enjoyed our food. We got the kale salad, olive and artichoke toast, haddock and chips, minced beef soccer pie, sticky toffee pudding, and apple and shortbread crumble.
Everything came out hot and fresh, although our mains took quite some time to arrive. Our server was lovely and offered us coffee on the house because of the wait.
While the flavours were all on point, I wish the fish and chip batter was a bit crispier (the middle got soft shortly after it arrived) and held onto the fish better as the batter came right off the haddock. And the mash that came with the soccer pie was a bit cold.
The standouts were the desserts. Decadent, generous and delicious with a nice hot and cold contrast between the cake/crumble and ice cream.

Traditional English pub food in a beautiful historic house. Atmosphere alone is worth a visit but the food certainly holds its own. Yorkshire pudding, scotch egg that comes runny, meat pies, bangers.. all on the menu u

I had previously tried to visit, but due to a football game being shown, the place was too full for even 1 more person. I took that as a sign it was a great place so I came back again for lunch.
I cannot believe the food I got. Fish and chips was $29 for this small serve! The mushy peas were cardboard. The fish tasted slightly above average, at least. The photo is after I took my first bite.
The staff were very polite and helpful but the venue itself is getting fairly rundown and has no atmosphere.

Downtown for a show and decided to try Barberian’s. We made a reservation a few days prior.
Friendly service, attentive staff, and the food was all delicious. We had salad and shrimp cocktail to start and the rib steak and dry aged steak mains. Try the horseradish with your steak, it’s a nice zing. The pickled veggies are a great way to start the night. Ambiance is dark and old school, and the ladies room was bright and spotless with Japanese toilets, yay!!

My friend and I had heard tell of how great this place was and decided to go on a weekend trip to Toronto. Come with a full wallet and an empty stomach because though this place is certainly premium priced, you get what you pay for. I've had many great steak dinners, but this is still probably the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and surprisingly fast, and the food was absolute perfection, exactly as ordered. I could also eat the complimentary pickled vegetables by the jar. I'll definitely go here again.

Delicious steaks and really nice staff + good service. It was very loud at dinner time and the decor is a bit dated, but it all really adds to the vibe. Really nice for a special occasion. We had to roll out of the restaurant because we were SO full after. We were also able to bring our own bottle of wine, they have a $75 corking fee. They bring a pickle plate after you’ve been seated as an appie and our steak came with a side which was nice to help fill us up 😋

Barberian’s Steakhouse is a true Toronto icon for good reason! The food and service are absolutely top-notch, a must-visit for steak lovers. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, and the lobster cocktail was the ideal indulgent starter (we ended up ordering one for desert as well). Their own unique flair is evident through many aspects of the dining experience- the pictures and artifacts which adorn the walls, as well as their iconic side dish: giant onion rings - crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside, a fun and alternative to a classic side. While the prices reflect the high quality, they are reasonable given the exceptional experience. If you’re looking for a classic steakhouse experience with unmatched attention to detail, Barberian’s is the place to be!

The deluxe burger was so good. The signature chicken was really nice, just a bit too salty for me. But i'm going back to grab the deluxe burger.
Unfortunately homeless people can just walk in and serve themselves free drinks and also beg for money. Not very hygienic.
The staff was super sweet.
Other than these 2 things i had a great experience

Food is alright but eating in at that area regardless of it being Popeyes or BK.... is such a turnoff given the....weird ones who patronize the place.
Best to take out and get outta there. If you have the time, walk up north to Jolibee if you're looking for crispy chicken burger

They have the best halal chicken fries. Their classic mini chicken wrap is so delicious and it’s only $5! Their sandwich reminds me of bfc burger from Bangladesh. You won’t get the exact taste but it’s very similar. I don’t like their chicken nuggets. They should name it pop chicken or something like that. Their nuggets not nuggetting 😅

The famous Popeyes, popular for their Louisiana style chicken fry was really good. My wife would give the chicken fry's 5/5. I have had a burger 🍔 as I'm more of a burger and beer person. It was okay. The ambiance was nice specially for a fried chicken shop that too next to Dundas Square.

Gorgeous building. Beautiful decor. The staff were so friendly and provided excellent service. The food is TO DIE FOR! I cannot stress this enough. My husband and I really struggle to find restaurants that still take pride in their food and don’t charge an arm and a leg. This family owned restaurant makes truly authentic food, taught by one generation to the next (info from our wonderful server Kala).
10/10 would drive back downtown Toronto to go again.

Went here for winterlicious. It was good, but not super blown away. Our favourite thing was the potato croquette. The crispy pork was a bit dry, and the dumplings weren’t that crispy. The dessert was okay.

Came for winterlicious, I thought the food was well worth the price and the restaurant service and atmosphere were very enjoyable.
I had the croquette appetizer which was crispy and stuffed w nicely seasoned ground pork.
For mains I had the red curry pad Thai with pork, good flavour but I thought the noodles with the curry sauce was a bit too salty. I would also recommend getting it with shrimp instead. I also had a drink (coconut martini? unfortunately forgot the name) which was quite good.
For dessert we had a jackfruit spring roll which I thought was average.
Service was very friendly and let our group stay and chat after we finished our meal.

The food overall is just perfect, I have tried it in US and tbh is better than 🇨🇦.

Absolutely the worst service, i get they want to move effectively but they completely cut me off numerous times. I’m a fairly new customer and was figuring out what i wanted but before i could do that they were asking me what i wanted on my bowl..i was going to order a burrito. I have worked in fast food for years and I know the feeling of a rush and this was not acceptable. I didn’t get to order what I wanted because they were already trying to put ingredients for me. They kept passing down my food while i was still talking and constantly cutting me off when i would go to order because they wanted me to answer faster. Extremely ignorant. The cash working was able to notice this and apologized which I am grateful for but I will not be going to this location again, a rush should never require terrible customer service..this is coming from a fast food worker. Thanks.
