Oops, I devoured half of my plate before remembering to take a photo! It was just too mouth watering to resist - salmon and veggies with well developed flavours and perfectly cooked. Service was wonderful and eagerly accommodated our group of 8 even though we hadn’t reserved ahead of time. Close to all the action in Toronto but situated on a quieter street so you can duck away from crowds while you enjoy some of the best Portuguese food in the city.

We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom at Adega, and I honestly can't say enough great things about the experience!
The food was absolutely incredible, and the service went above and beyond our expectations. From the early planning stages to the day of the event, Marco was professional, accommodating, and made sure everything ran smoothly. He truly helped create an unforgettable evening.
The upstairs event space was beautiful, and our servers, Nathan and Tiago, were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing all night.
We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend Adega to anyone looking for a stunning venue, an amazing team, and delicious food for their next event.

5/5 This is a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a comfortable dining experience. The food was outstanding. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, beautifully presented.

Everything was perfect today.
Highly recommend the grilled squid — it’s full of flavor, with a rich aroma of garlic and olive oil.
The steak was delicious, but what impressed me even more were the fries — they stayed crispy even after soaking up the meat juices.
The risotto was cooked to the perfect al dente texture and blended beautifully with the sauce.

Octopus was very soft. Tasty. However, everything else was very salty. Be prepared to drink a lot of water.. atmosphere was great. Service, alright, they had our food written down wrong, they were quick about it. That's it. Octopus can be prepared in 10mins.. so... cool.

The Senator is a charming little spot that feels like stepping into a cozy, old-school diner with a touch of elegance. The inside is very cute and quaint, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay about twice as much as you would at somewhere like Sunset Grill. But in this case, you’re absolutely getting what you pay for. The breakfast is delicious—easily more than twice as tasty, so take that for what it's worth. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the crispy bacon and perfectly toasted bread.
The staff are also lovely, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be an everyday spot for the budget-conscious, it’s absolutely worth the splurge every now and then for a truly enjoyable breakfast.

The restaurant is VERY small. It is recommended you make reservations.
The food was very tasty and was served hot & fresh. The portion are a good size.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The washrooms are in the basement (not wheelchair accessible) and could use an upgrade/update.
It is located at Dundas St & Victoria St. Conveniently across from the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre and near Dundas Square.
Parking is available right next door (outdoor) or there is underground parking within a minute walk (less expensive)

Without a doubt, these are the best mussels in Toronto. The sauce pairs perfectly with the mussels, and when the pot is opened, the steam rises. The service at this restaurant is impeccable. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would.

The Senator is a timeless diner that keeps things classic—no fussy reinventions, just comfort food made with real quality. It’s the kind of place where lawyers, travelers, and suited regulars linger over a solid Americano or treat themselves to one of their sweet, decadent coffee creations. Bonus: there’s a full bar, too.
We’re smitten with the Senator Signature Sandwich: pillowy challah—an enriched egg bread—is griddled into golden French toast, then layered with ham, melted Swiss, and mayo. Served with a side of maple syrup for that perfect sweet-savory touch.
If you love a good club sandwich (and we definitely do), you’ll appreciate ths: tender roasted chicken breast—not deli meat—stacked with crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato, mayo, on toasted challah. Simple and very satisfying.
So not forget to order a side of their home fries!

Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life. Historic and quality. - we split two dishes to try more things from the menu. Pancakes are worth the hype. The booth designs are awesome. Walk out and bam, you’re right in the core of the madness. We had no wait at 11:30am on a Saturday.

It was a place we used to come to as university students 20+ years ago and of course the place had evolved. This time we brought our children here. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was hip and happening. We love the window seats. The food was consistently good and big portions. Overall, great experience as always.
Parking is paid parking downstairs under T&T. Just buy something from T&T and get $4 back afterwards.
Elevator for those need lift!

I love salad king. This place has huge portions and amazing noodle dishes. I got the Islamic noodles and mango stir fry with Chicken. The Islamic noodles had red curry and was soooo delicious! It is a secret item menu and I recommend it so much. Thai milk tea didn’t really taste like much but I still enjoyed

Went on a weekday noon time with some folks from my office. It was a good idea that we had booked a table ahead of time, because the place was packed.
For the main course, you need to select the level of spiciness, probably best not to go adventurous on it as it can get really spicy.
My main course was Basil Chicken with a side of rice. It was very tasty and had good flavour.
I also tried the Vietnamese iced tea and it was excellent.
The staff are very helpful and fast.

Invited a friend from out of town to try Salad King as I enjoy the Yonge location. We did the summer shareable $15 for shareable and 2 drinks, the beef satay is really good and comes off the skewer easily. Our mains were Phud Thai & Chicken Ball Fried Rice, main thing we can say is trust the spice scale descriptions - but they were tasty. :)

Great spot for affordable and flavorful Thai food. Fast and friendly service, generous portions, and fair prices. The shareable deal of 1 appetizer and 2 drinks was a great addition to the experience.

Donatello Restaurant is a hidden gem in Toronto that truly captures the essence of old-school Italian dining. From the outside, it looks unassuming, but once you step inside, you’re welcomed into a warm and charming space that feels like a secret escape. The ambiance is classic and inviting, and the food is simply amazing. Rich flavors, high-quality ingredients, and perfectly executed dishes. Whether it’s pasta, seafood, or steak, every bite is a delight. With excellent service and an intimate atmosphere, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine.

This was our second visit to Donatello Restaurant this year, and it's easily become one of our go-to spots in Toronto for dinner. Each time the servers were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. We enjoyed a delightful meal featuring the peppercorn steak, perfectly cooked lamb chops, salmon, tender grilled calamari, and a fresh, flavorful Caprese salad. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We look forward to returning every time we're in Toronto—Donatello never disappoints!

We had a fantastic time at 3 Brasseurs! From the moment we walked in, the place had a warm and inviting energy. Their in-house brewed beers were the highlight—rich in flavor, perfectly chilled, and full of character. Each of us tried a different type, and they all delivered.
The food was just as impressive. The flatbread pizza was thin and crispy with the perfect balance of toppings and sauce drizzle—savory, creamy, and delicious in every bite. The poke bowl was fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor, a great lighter option that still felt indulgent.
Service was friendly and fast, and the casual but vibrant atmosphere made it a great spot for catching up with friends. Whether you’re here for a pint or a full meal, 3 Brewers nails the balance between pub comfort and quality. Highly recommended!

Service was great! The food was so good, and the portions were big. So many variety of drinks - from beers to cocktails, to sangrias they have so many to choose from. The tiramisu was DELICIOUS!! It’s a must try when you come here. Will definitely come back.

The food was good, same as all the other bars.. Their tap beer was good and we enjoyed it.. (I’m positive cause we finished our 1 litre beer order!!)
The waitress was very nice and friendly.. Forgot her name but she’s blond and took care of us in the main floor..

A group of us dropped by 3 Brasseurs at noon on a Friday, and the place was completely empty. Despite that, service was slow—we had to flag down our server a few times while the staff stood around chatting.
Food-wise, the pizza was ok but nothing special. The chicken sliders were pretty sad—the patty was tiny, barely two-thirds the size of the slider bun.
Bottom line: come for the beer, but don’t expect much from the food or service.

My experience here was okay. First impressions count for me, and didn't really vibe with the place at the start. When I came in for my dinner reservation, there was no host to be found at the front and people were piling up. When the guy finally came, it was the kind of energy that made you feel like you were imposing on them so that didn't really make me feel the most welcome.
Our server also took a while to acknowledge our table. He saw that we were there because he walked by us several times but for some reason chose not to acknowledge us until much later.
So, service overall: could be better.
I had the Cumberland Bangers. The sausages were pretty dry and and crumbly in texture. The flavour was there, but yeah texture is not the best. The mashed potatoes were okay, but also didn't taste like the freshest. The caramelized onions in the gravy was nice to bring some sweetness into the dish. I wonder if that could have been pureed or something or just simmered during the making of the gravy to impart the depth of caramelized flavour, but I can't say I was a fan of the texture in the dish itself.

We recently stopped in for lunch and had a lovely experience overall. The fish and chips were well-prepared—the batter was crisp, and the fish was flaky and flavorful.
While the mushy peas were a bit of a letdown (served cold and lacking seasoning), the main dish more than made up for it.
Our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and efficient, which really enhanced our visit. We were seated in the front room overlooking the patio, providing a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy our meal. The restaurant boasts plenty of TVs, making it an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts. During our visit, there was a lively group of fans gathering for the big game, adding to the vibrant ambiance.
Overall, it's a great place for a casual meal, especially if you're looking to catch a game. Just a slight improvement on the sides, and it would be a solid 5-star experience.

I loved the vibes at this place! The rustic, old-world charm was exactly what I expected—such a cozy, inviting atmosphere. It wasn’t too busy when I visited on a Sunday at 3 PM, which made for a relaxed dining experience.
One thing that really caught my eye in the reviews was the use of purple cabbage. It looked so vibrant and fresh on the plate, and I couldn’t wait to see it for myself. I also noticed that the place didn’t have the best food pictures in the reviews, but I’m so glad I took a chance because the Sunday roast looked incredible. When the food arrived, it came quickly, and everything was beautifully presented. The meat was cooked perfectly medium-rare, just how I like it—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The gravy complemented the meat so well, adding that rich depth.
The veggies were spot on—cooked to perfection, not too soft or too firm, and seasoned just right. The Yorkshire pudding was delicious, with the perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and softness inside, though it was a little more eggy than I prefer.
For three of us, the total came to $130, which I thought was very reasonable considering we had three Sunday roasts and two mimosas. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend for a relaxed Sunday meal with great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Bee B - 5 months ago
What a wonderful place. Prior I had come for the Sunday roast and it was 10/10.
Today we came for lunch and Hannah our server was absolutely fabulous. She was so knowledgeable about the food, and was so supportive of our quick turn around. We had the three course menu, and the Avocado toast and it was incredible. As a rule I would say this is the only place I would ever order a salad again and again. The Kale salad is a show stopper. (I haven’t ever said that ever about kale) the Fish and Chip came along with a tartar sauce that dreams are made of and the most delicious mushy peas. And I think their sticky toffee pudding with the vanilla bean ice cream should stop time. It’s piping hot and puts our families secret recipe to shame. The prices reflect quality and the beauty and skill of the staff. Your drinks are filled, along with your tummy and heart.

Woof. Straight out of Mad Men! Barberian’s lives up to the hype.
From eyeing the maître d’s notebook of handwritten reservations upon walking in - musket guns adorning the crown moulding - ambient, low lighting in an intimate dining room, seemingly wallpapered and wood panelled from a forgotten decade — this restaurant is a one-of-a-kind time capsule. Looking around at the delightfully mixed clientele (younger colleagues having a dinner out, nervous startup duo wooing an international client, a family celebrating a special occasion) you could just as easily envision the same room, virtually untouched, decades earlier and filled with smoke and cabinet ministers, or men with double-breasted suits and low hats.
There’s a book I love by Maeve Binchy called Quentins, that chronicles the lives of an Irish community: the restaurant acts as the sturdy pillar, centrepiece and backdrop for the generations and stories that grew within and around it. I see Barberian’s embodying that same mythical ethos. It feels like a special place.
Thanks to our wonderful server Angelo for being so considerate and helping to mark our special occasion. I really appreciated your thoughtfulness. The bussers and server assistants in particular were standouts in the service - very pleasant, unrushed and helpful. I can’t wait to bring others back.
Shown: excellent prime rib and Yorkshire pudding, plus perfectly done dry aged steak (minus the potato toppings and house horseradish that knocked my socks off).

Great food and over the top service! It was established in 1959, and you could tell with their intense wine list and monster cellar. The steak was top notch cooked perfectly. I surprisingly loved their stewed spinach, and their garlic bread. Desert and wine were excellent as well.

This steakhouse is a whole vibe—as you enter the lively tavern it already feels welcoming and classy. The interior of the restaurant is much larger than it first appears to be and decorated with Victorian or regency vibes (I could be wrong, not a historian). The food was definitely the highlight. My partner is a huge meat lover and this place instantly became his new favourite. I, on the other hand, am more of a seafood person but I wanted to try their steak too because it’s a steakhouse. Mine was good, I got filet mignon without the bacon, just a bit dry. When I asked they gave me a sauce and also stuffed the (initially sad looking) baked potato with sour cream and cheese. The steak tartare was my favourite. They are pricy but are very generous with proportions in addition to the exceptional quality of food. The server didn’t hover but was available for anything we needed, just how we prefer :)

My friend and I had heard tell of how great this place was and decided to go on a weekend trip to Toronto. Come with a full wallet and an empty stomach because though this place is certainly premium priced, you get what you pay for. I've had many great steak dinners, but this is still probably the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and surprisingly fast, and the food was absolute perfection, exactly as ordered. I could also eat the complimentary pickled vegetables by the jar. I'll definitely go here again.

The deluxe burger was so good. The signature chicken was really nice, just a bit too salty for me. But i'm going back to grab the deluxe burger.
Unfortunately homeless people can just walk in and serve themselves free drinks and also beg for money. Not very hygienic.
The staff was super sweet.
Other than these 2 things i had a great experience

Food is alright but eating in at that area regardless of it being Popeyes or BK.... is such a turnoff given the....weird ones who patronize the place.

They have the best halal chicken fries. Their classic mini chicken wrap is so delicious and it’s only $5! Their sandwich reminds me of bfc burger from Bangladesh. You won’t get the exact taste but it’s very similar. I don’t like their chicken nuggets. They should name it pop chicken or something like that. Their nuggets not nuggetting 😅

The famous Popeyes, popular for their Louisiana style chicken fry was really good. My wife would give the chicken fry's 5/5. I have had a burger 🍔 as I'm more of a burger and beer person. It was okay. The ambiance was nice specially for a fried chicken shop that too next to Dundas Square.

Gorgeous building. Beautiful decor. The staff were so friendly and provided excellent service. The food is TO DIE FOR! I cannot stress this enough. My husband and I really struggle to find restaurants that still take pride in their food and don’t charge an arm and a leg. This family owned restaurant makes truly authentic food, taught by one generation to the next (info from our wonderful server Kala).
10/10 would drive back downtown Toronto to go again.

I’m an often customer and after my experience here I feel like my proportion of this meal was awfully small, following this I asked to fix my portions and the worker told me they were unable to take it back. Super concerning if this is the new portion sizes.
