Our party of five had an excellent experience at Adega.
The menu was packed with delicious options, and they had several strong specials of the night. The wine by bottle list was extensive, but their by the glass was smaller and all from Portugal. Our host was proactive and offered a tasting of the wine by glass that matched my typical choice.
This proactive nature was indicative of the quality care our host (and assistant servers!) provided throughout the evening. He was accommodating, patient with menu inquiries, and professional—certainly felt like a fine dining experience.
The prices were standard for this type of restaurant; the prices of the specials were not shared. In regards to wine, some prices seemed a bit higher than your typical wine shop purchase, yet still made sense for this establishment. Also note that 18% will be added to your bill if your party is 5+.
We made it difficult at the end with asking to split the tab by individual order but, yet again, they were both kind and accommodating.
A final note, at last moment we shared we were celebrating our friend's birthday, and he brought out a Portuguese custard dessert that was phenomenal. Yes! Even if you do not like custard!

Really tasty food on the saltier side. Got the prix-fixe menu which came with an appetizer and main:
- Salted Cod Quenelles: Really creamy interior, nice crispy exterior. Would have liked a bit of a stronger cod taste, but this was good.
- Pan Roasted Herb Crusted Salmon: Good heft to the salmon, not overly crusted, strong herb flavour, perfect pan roast. Side veggies complemented the main well.
Service is helpful and attentive. Kitchen is efficient. Prices are what prices are these days. Place is well spaced and tastefully decorated. A good dining option, especially if you love seafood.

Everything was perfect today.
Highly recommend the grilled squid — it’s full of flavor, with a rich aroma of garlic and olive oil.
The steak was delicious, but what impressed me even more were the fries — they stayed crispy even after soaking up the meat juices.
The risotto was cooked to the perfect al dente texture and blended beautifully with the sauce.

Oops, I devoured half of my plate before remembering to take a photo! It was just too mouth watering to resist - salmon and veggies with well developed flavours and perfectly cooked. Service was wonderful and eagerly accommodated our group of 8 even though we hadn’t reserved ahead of time. Close to all the action in Toronto but situated on a quieter street so you can duck away from crowds while you enjoy some of the best Portuguese food in the city.

We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom at Adega, and I honestly can't say enough great things about the experience!
The food was absolutely incredible, and the service went above and beyond our expectations. From the early planning stages to the day of the event, Marco was professional, accommodating, and made sure everything ran smoothly. He truly helped create an unforgettable evening.
The upstairs event space was beautiful, and our servers, Nathan and Tiago, were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing all night.
We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend Adega to anyone looking for a stunning venue, an amazing team, and delicious food for their next event.

Wonderful experience at this wonderful gem. I brought a friend and my grandmother and it was nice. Had sandwiches and French toast. Delicious choices. The waitress was wonderful. Super friendly. The restaurant is small but delightful. Bathroom is down a set of stairs. Not accommodating if you can’t do stairs.

The Senator is a charming little spot that feels like stepping into a cozy, old-school diner with a touch of elegance. The inside is very cute and quaint, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay about twice as much as you would at somewhere like Sunset Grill. But in this case, you’re absolutely getting what you pay for. The breakfast is delicious—easily more than twice as tasty, so take that for what it's worth. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the crispy bacon and perfectly toasted bread.
The staff are also lovely, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be an everyday spot for the budget-conscious, it’s absolutely worth the splurge every now and then for a truly enjoyable breakfast.

3 Star Food rating based on price. 4 Star for taste.
3 Star Service rating based on interaction with our waitress. Treat every client as if it's your first. Offer your name, check-in during the meal. (5 stars to the lovely lady seating everyone)
5 Star Atmosphere rating based on this place being very cool and retro.
We grabbed some lunch before attending a play at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theater across the street (Victoria entrance). Outdoor small lot parking next door ($20 or $35 "event" parking fee) It's a cute little diner and the lady in charge was VERY friendly and attentive. Service staff was efficient from what I witnessed. Our wait time for a table was approximately 30 minutes. They do not rush you after you've paid your bill. The ambience and feel of an old school diner is definitely present. 2 or 4 person booths (one booth/chair combo) and counter seating and one bench/chair table in the window area for larger group of 5 maybe max. There was also one table with chairs outside. Restrooms are downstairs. (not accessible). The Senator is not cheap. Club Sandwich, French Toast, 2 coffees, total was $80 with tip.

The restaurant is VERY small. It is recommended you make reservations.
The food was very tasty and was served hot & fresh. The portion are a good size.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The washrooms are in the basement (not wheelchair accessible) and could use an upgrade/update.
It is located at Dundas St & Victoria St. Conveniently across from the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre and near Dundas Square.
Parking is available right next door (outdoor) or there is underground parking within a minute walk (less expensive)

The Senator is a timeless diner that keeps things classic—no fussy reinventions, just comfort food made with real quality. It’s the kind of place where lawyers, travelers, and suited regulars linger over a solid Americano or treat themselves to one of their sweet, decadent coffee creations. Bonus: there’s a full bar, too.
We’re smitten with the Senator Signature Sandwich: pillowy challah—an enriched egg bread—is griddled into golden French toast, then layered with ham, melted Swiss, and mayo. Served with a side of maple syrup for that perfect sweet-savory touch.
If you love a good club sandwich (and we definitely do), you’ll appreciate ths: tender roasted chicken breast—not deli meat—stacked with crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato, mayo, on toasted challah. Simple and very satisfying.
So not forget to order a side of their home fries!

Compliments to the chefs! The Kari noodles with the chicken breast was delicious and the wontons had a nice crisp and flavor to them. First time visit and will be back! Gave 3.5 stars because the promptness of the servers could have been better. Also, felt like the bathrooms needed a bit of refreshing. Overall good and spacious location. Food came quickly, although I'd prefer my appetizers on the table before my main course.

Food: Is excellent here and the add on items are really reasonably priced. If you come here the food will be the highlight. With most of their dishes being around the $20 mark this is a place you can afford to get a few items.
Atmosphere: Fun, funky and modern Thai restaurant vibes here. There is ample seating and you get a view on to the street.
Service: It could be better. Honestly, the wait times between seating to first check in was long. We sat for almost 15 minutes before someone came. The drink came quick and so did the appetizer but the wait between appetizer to mains was far too long, like 20 minutes. I noticed that was a theme here. They seem to be consistent in being short on servers. The coming and going of uber drivers isn’t very nice. The servers spend too much time pandering to Uber drivers instead of serving the customers in restaurant.

It was a place we used to come to as university students 20+ years ago and of course the place had evolved. This time we brought our children here. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was hip and happening. We love the window seats. The food was consistently good and big portions. Overall, great experience as always.
Parking is paid parking downstairs under T&T. Just buy something from T&T and get $4 back afterwards.
Elevator for those need lift!

It’s been a long while since I’ve been to salad king. Surprising good! There weren’t too many people like before (maybe cuz we went a bit later than dinner time??). The service was great and the food was amazing. I was happy with my Kari (curry) noodles - not many places make it well, and my friend was happy with her pad Thai.
No wait, no reservation, portion was good and price was very reasonable. Overall, very happy.

I love coming here! I come to Toronto for work and what I love to do is come here on my first day in town and order many dishes. They graciously bring all the dishes to my table. It looks ridiculous because I’m alone but then I get to taste them all right away. Then I get take home containers and bring all the leftovers home and I’m good for lunches and dinner for a few days after.
Today I tried a new dish (new to me) called Linda’s signature crispy beef panang, so so flavourful. And a vibrant colour (pictured)!
Also they have the biggest mango salad I’ve ever seen (pictured).
They have a very flexible chili scale (1-20), I don’t handle that much spice so I stay at 1-2, but for those who want more heat there’s lots of room to add spice.
And as a bonus, they have amazing take home containers that make wonderful Tupperware for the rest of the trip (they’re dishwasher safe!).
Never had a bad experience or a bad meal.

Great ambience and decor throughout the restaurant. The view out of the arched windows gives a European feel. There are a few vegetarian options available as well. The host is a very pleasant gentleman who explains everything in great detail. The gnocchi is a standout dish, and ranks among the best gnocchi I've ever had.

I went to Donatello with my friend last month, and I was so surprised that Toronto has such a truly good Italian restaurant! I’ve been living here for two years and have never found an Italian place this authentic. I ordered the Pasta Fungole with scallops and shrimp. it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The service was also above and beyond. Highly recommended!

A quaint place with good food and attentive service. The flavours were all there. The portions were generous enough and the bread was warm. The prices reasonable. I very much appreciated their lunch hours flexibility, unlike all other places in the area. I may come back.

The soup was so, so. The tortellini was nice, and hot. I have asked for a Italian beer, first time, never had that before. The waiter poured my beer in to a glass next to me. I had almost my glass empty, the waiter was next to us, if everything was okay. “Ow I will bring you a new beer sir.”
Not for me anymore, it looks like they did not appreciate our presence. It seems like they were looking when we ware ready.
tip was also automatic (20%) for a party of two during evening meal.

The service was excellent and the restaurant was busy (reservations recommended) but we found the food a bit salty. We ordered an appetizer special which was $6 a shrimp (5 shrimps min). It was good but I don’t think it worths the price.

This was not my first time at this restaurant but my first time organizing a group get together here.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were well taken care of by the staff. Our server (whose name I did not get, I’m sorry) was fantastic and accommodating. Drinks were brought and refreshed quickly, food came at a reasonable rate for our group size and later joiners adding to the table and orders. I hadn’t Fishman’s chips and honestly, I think you’ve ruined fish and chips from anywhere else. It was DELICIOUS. Fried perfectly, not overly crispy with fish inside and not under done so that if felt like wet paper towels over raw fish (have you ever had it like that? It’s gross). So now I’ll just have to make sure I get my fish and chips at 3 Brasseurs.
I tried the featured beer and it was exactly as our server described. I had 3! (I wasn’t driving).
Thank you for making our get together a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time at 3 Brasseurs! From the moment we walked in, the place had a warm and inviting energy. Their in-house brewed beers were the highlight—rich in flavor, perfectly chilled, and full of character. Each of us tried a different type, and they all delivered.
The food was just as impressive. The flatbread pizza was thin and crispy with the perfect balance of toppings and sauce drizzle—savory, creamy, and delicious in every bite. The poke bowl was fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor, a great lighter option that still felt indulgent.
Service was friendly and fast, and the casual but vibrant atmosphere made it a great spot for catching up with friends. Whether you’re here for a pint or a full meal, 3 Brewers nails the balance between pub comfort and quality. Highly recommended!

Cool little microbrewery right by my office, stopped by here with a pal for a cold blonde on a warm late summer evening. Felt great after a long day at work. Will likely revisit to try more of their beers.

They have a solid selection of tasty beers on tap, delicious burgers at great prices, fresh fries, and a really good salad. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming — perfect for a night out. The only downside was that it took a while to get the bill, but overall, still a great experience!

We recently stopped in for lunch and had a lovely experience overall. The fish and chips were well-prepared—the batter was crisp, and the fish was flaky and flavorful.
While the mushy peas were a bit of a letdown (served cold and lacking seasoning), the main dish more than made up for it.
Our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and efficient, which really enhanced our visit. We were seated in the front room overlooking the patio, providing a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy our meal. The restaurant boasts plenty of TVs, making it an ideal spot for sports enthusiasts. During our visit, there was a lively group of fans gathering for the big game, adding to the vibrant ambiance.
Overall, it's a great place for a casual meal, especially if you're looking to catch a game. Just a slight improvement on the sides, and it would be a solid 5-star experience.

Great location and a true neighbourhood pub feel. The food and drinks are excellent — the fish and chips, burger, and beers really stand out. Cozy atmosphere with good service, and the rooftop patio is a gem, especially on nice days. The second floor is perfect for watching a soccer game, adding to the authentic British pub vibe. Prices are fair, portions are good, and the quality is consistent. Comfy, welcoming, and definitely one of the best pub experiences in Toronto.
Nate Miro - 2 weeks ago
My experience here was okay. First impressions count for me, and didn't really vibe with the place at the start. When I came in for my dinner reservation, there was no host to be found at the front and people were piling up. When the guy finally came, it was the kind of energy that made you feel like you were imposing on them so that didn't really make me feel the most welcome.
Our server also took a while to acknowledge our table. He saw that we were there because he walked by us several times but for some reason chose not to acknowledge us until much later.
So, service overall: could be better.
I had the Cumberland Bangers. The sausages were pretty dry and and crumbly in texture. The flavour was there, but yeah texture is not the best. The mashed potatoes were okay, but also didn't taste like the freshest. The caramelized onions in the gravy was nice to bring some sweetness into the dish. I wonder if that could have been pureed or something or just simmered during the making of the gravy to impart the depth of caramelized flavour, but I can't say I was a fan of the texture in the dish itself.

We had brunch at the Queen and Beaver recently, and overall it was a lovely experience. The service was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and relaxed — and we sat on the outdoor terrace, which made for a really nice setting. I can’t speak to the interior vibe, but the patio was great.
The food was a bit hit-or-miss for me. My friends all really enjoyed their brunch dishes (and their plates looked amazing), but I went with the burger and fries and was a little underwhelmed. It’s more of a hearty, upscale-style burger — not a classic smash burger, which to be fair, they don’t claim it is. Just a personal preference, and it felt a touch pricey for what it was.
That said, our friends who brought us here absolutely love this place and say it’s consistently good for both brunch and dinner. So while it wasn’t a standout meal for me personally, I’d still say it’s worth checking out — especially if you’re after a chill patio brunch spot in downtown Toronto with great service.
Geoff H - 2 months ago
We made a reservation for a Thursday, and got patio seating.
We got the summerlicious menu (Welsh rarebit on Pullmans loaf, salmon and charred baby gem, and classic sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream), PLUS we ordered the beef and onion pie.
I really enjoyed my meal here, especially the beef and onion pie and the sticky toffee pudding. The mashed potatoes from the pie were really salty but the sweet purple cabbage slaw really balanced it out.
Service was only ok, it was pretty busy so we had a hard time flagging down a server at times.

I was craving steak recently, so I decided to try out this longtime steakhouse located in the heart of Toronto. They’ve got this really old-fashioned vibe all over the place from the menu to the decorations, which was cool to see. The food was great - although not the best steak I’ve ever had, it’s easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in Toronto. They’ve also got an extensive wine list - by that, I meant EXTENSIVE! It is pages long and you’d have a hard time picking one out of it.
We tried the 32oz porterhouse steak, and according to the server, it is dry-aged for a minimum of 40 days. The medium rare steak was cooked exactly like how I anticipated it to be, albeit it could use more seasoning - I am personally a fan of using coarse salt over fine table salt on steaks. The Grilled Bacon, Beef Salami, Croquettes for the appetizer was also okay.
Of course, it isn’t a cheap place to eat. I can easily find a quality Bistecca alla Fiorentina in Tuscany with less damage to my wallet, however, it’s still a decent place to have a steak in Toronto if you are craving for it.

Arrived with no prior reservation. Had no problem getting us a seat.
Atmosphere was nice and old fashioned, beautiful and calming. The lighting was too dark, could be difficult and uncomfortable for anyone with vision problems.
The waiters are fantastic, Knowledgeable and quick to fill your water back up!
Ordered the chateaubriand, which was absolutely delicious. Meat was so tender, cuts like butter.
Not to mention the dessert menu had lots of choices.
Highly recommend!

I absolutely recommend Barbarian for a unique steak house. Ask for Johnny, he was amazing. The dry age steak was fantastic as was the centre top sirloin.
I also highly recommend the French onion soup and mousse house.
Ask to see the gorgeous wine cellar.

Highly recommend this steak house and butcher shop.
the owners are very friendly and accommodating to your party. The atmosphere is cozy for any occasion.
Got the French onion soup, and striploin with baked potato-both delicious. They provide some pickles as sides while you wait for your meal.
You can also order their steaks and sides on their online butcher shop for an at home experience.

Woof. Straight out of Mad Men! Barberian’s lives up to the hype.
From eyeing the maître d’s notebook of handwritten reservations upon walking in - musket guns adorning the crown moulding - ambient, low lighting in an intimate dining room, seemingly wallpapered and wood panelled from a forgotten decade — this restaurant is a one-of-a-kind time capsule. Looking around at the delightfully mixed clientele (younger colleagues having a dinner out, nervous startup duo wooing an international client, a family celebrating a special occasion) you could just as easily envision the same room, virtually untouched, decades earlier and filled with smoke and cabinet ministers, or men with double-breasted suits and low hats.
There’s a book I love by Maeve Binchy called Quentins, that chronicles the lives of an Irish community: the restaurant acts as the sturdy pillar, centrepiece and backdrop for the generations and stories that grew within and around it. I see Barberian’s embodying that same mythical ethos. It feels like a special place.
Thanks to our wonderful server Angelo for being so considerate and helping to mark our special occasion. I really appreciated your thoughtfulness. The bussers and server assistants in particular were standouts in the service - very pleasant, unrushed and helpful. I can’t wait to bring others back.
Shown: excellent prime rib and Yorkshire pudding, plus perfectly done dry aged steak (minus the potato toppings and house horseradish that knocked my socks off).

The deluxe burger was so good. The signature chicken was really nice, just a bit too salty for me. But i'm going back to grab the deluxe burger.
Unfortunately homeless people can just walk in and serve themselves free drinks and also beg for money. Not very hygienic.
The staff was super sweet.
Other than these 2 things i had a great experience

They have the best halal chicken fries. Their classic mini chicken wrap is so delicious and it’s only $5! Their sandwich reminds me of bfc burger from Bangladesh. You won’t get the exact taste but it’s very similar. I don’t like their chicken nuggets. They should name it pop chicken or something like that. Their nuggets not nuggetting 😅

063025 - came to have lunch at Bangkok Garden
my opinion if I may share ~ the buffet selection weren't that delightful nor flavourful like so... the portions on the buffet display were limited and skimpy... could it considering it was a Monday?
quality was not at its best... chicken wings were extra small more like thumb size... not the fresh fried cooked wings - the meat was dry. One can tell it was more like being reheated from last night's batch... doesn't look appealing at all... I went for 2nds simply to check it out... this time, the wings looked fresh and juicy... disappointed being my 1st visit...
only picked a scoop of the meals - bean sprout w/ tofu, warm soup, coconut curry chicken, fish and even salad which I hardly do given it's buffet with other choices... but not this time. didn't go for pad thai or fried rice 😕 😞 even the desserts were not as enjoyable except for the fresh watermelon and pineapple cut in small slices. everything on the buffet were tiny portions - skimping on all menu quite sad perhaps restaurant has some challenges and struggling.
What was refreshing ~ the ice cold water they served. And I ordered the mango slushy.
The good review I can say at this point. The restaurant was surprisingly impeccable however the number of stairs / steps can be a big challenge.
To note: two food inspectors were on-site with hand held temperature device coming in and out between kitchen and the buffet display. Made me wonder 🤔

The interior is what got me to book this restaurant for dinner. We were a group of 6-7 friends. The place is big, service is okay. The way to the washroom might take a couple minutes to figure out as it’s a bit of a maze. Their food is okay, nothing to really talk about.

Suggested to have a surprise Birthday celebration here with a group of people. It’s a beautiful restaurant with proper Thai menu. Nothing to write home about but good enough. The parking is nonexistent most specially DT. The staff are very attentive

I recently visited Chipotle and loved the customization options! The burrito bowl I got was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. Ingredients tasted high-quality, and the staff was friendly and quick. The only downside was the wait during peak hours, but it was worth it for the taste. Overall, a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal.

Chipotle has good options for a keto diet. You can build your own bowl with salad, protein, and toppings. Their avocado sauce (Guacamole) is really nice for keto. The food was tasty, but if the seating area had a bit better atmosphere, it would be even better.

The food just tasted like expected, service was pretty nice but at the start the person wasn’t really giving me any choices but ok, atmosphere was okay too

The food tasted good to me. However the meat portion was underwhelming, it also had significant amount of fat.
However that's nothing new for Chipotle.
