FOOD:
I came here for Summerlicious menu. I was a bit disappointed as few days before I came to its sister restaurant. And I realized both restaurant have exact same theme, same set up, food is very much alike, some of the dishes are the same. The summerlicious menu and the food quality didn't show how good their food actually is.
The summerlicious menu has very affordable price. As a result the quality of the dishes are not that great. The dishes is good for the price.
SERVICE: I kinda few like I didn't spend enough here to receive an upscale dining service level. The waiter almost didn't care about me.
VIBE: exactly the same as their sister restaurant. The place is in a small quite street so there's not many customers especially during lunch time. I feel like the decoration and set up is way too heavy and old school.

Tried the Winterlicious menu. The food was great — not extraordinary, but well done and made with fresh simple ingredients.
The squid was a delicious. Portions were fair and prices felt reasonable. What really stood out was the service — attentive, friendly, and professional.
The space is comfortable, spacious yet still intimate. Overall a solid experience and I’ll definitely recommend.

Definitely a wonderful and delicious experience. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a very nice lofty feeling to it. The patio was nice but we had a big party so ate inside. We tried just about everything on the menu.
The sardines (not normally something I would get) were superb! Each dish was wonderfully delicious. The piri piri shrimp, lobster bisque, octopus. All fantastic.
The seafood risotto was also amazing and rich with flavour and lots of seafood.
The house red was something we also all gravitated towards and was rich and full bodied which paired nicely with the seafood.
Would certainly recommend.

Came here for summerlicious! I loved being able to try various things on the menu. The octopus was good but it was just pretty plain. The veggies needed some seasoning. Salad was delicious, and so was the tartar. I loved the sardines and how they were paired. Yum!

We got lucky on a Sunday and were the only customers. I think we got served by the owner. Such warm family style service. The decor, the music the ambience felt so authentic. And lastly the food was mouth watering. He did something special for my friend’s birthday. Highly highly recommend.
Had the Tiger Shrimp, Squid which rival the best in the city. So delicious.

Wonderful experience at this wonderful gem. I brought a friend and my grandmother and it was nice. Had sandwiches and French toast. Delicious choices. The waitress was wonderful. Super friendly. The restaurant is small but delightful. Bathroom is down a set of stairs. Not accommodating if you can’t do stairs.

A convenient location cross the street from the Mirvish theater on Victoria St. near the Eaton Center. A quick drop in your get something before the show starts.

The Senator is a charming little spot that feels like stepping into a cozy, old-school diner with a touch of elegance. The inside is very cute and quaint, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay about twice as much as you would at somewhere like Sunset Grill. But in this case, you’re absolutely getting what you pay for. The breakfast is delicious—easily more than twice as tasty, so take that for what it's worth. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the crispy bacon and perfectly toasted bread.
The staff are also lovely, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be an everyday spot for the budget-conscious, it’s absolutely worth the splurge every now and then for a truly enjoyable breakfast.

The restaurant is VERY small. It is recommended you make reservations.
The food was very tasty and was served hot & fresh. The portion are a good size.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The washrooms are in the basement (not wheelchair accessible) and could use an upgrade/update.
It is located at Dundas St & Victoria St. Conveniently across from the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre and near Dundas Square.
Parking is available right next door (outdoor) or there is underground parking within a minute walk (less expensive)

This is by far the most delicious Thai food I’ve had in years! The Islamic Noodles is top notch and beef satay fresh and tasty! Mango sticky rice was the perfect happy sweet ending! A huge shout out to Maggie who looked so perfectly well after me! Well done and keep up the great work

The place is huge and has great seating. Loved the food and drinks, especially the mango ginger drink, it was excellent. The dipping sauces and chilli oil were also very good. The staff member who attended us seemed a bit rude, possibly because it was off-time and he was handling all the tables alone. Apart from that, we really enjoyed the food and overall experience.
Manju Jose - 4 months ago
I've been there twice and a big fan of their Thai Foods. Specially their Islamic Noodles (Not on the Menu, but very popular 🤭) is the best. I've tried in both forms, with Shrimp or with Chicken and in both cases it was top notch 10/10. And the name says it all, it's Halal. We've tried other items as well. They were great as well. Their portion size is also excellent.
The place is spacious, the ambiance is great and the waiters were really friendly.
P.S. Don't go beyond 10-15 level of spice even if you are from South Asia like (Bangladesh/India/Pakistan).

Amaaaaazing food. Portions are huge, there is so much seating available, and it was so delicious. We got the Islamic noodles with shrimp, Islamic noodles with chicken, and the hot noodles with chicken. All of them were at a spice level of 7 which i recommend! For drinks, we got the mango gingerale and the tamarind drink. Also so many halal options!! They also have various deals for shareable menu items or # of guests on a given day. Will definitely be coming back as a regular.

This is my second time dining at Salad King within 10 days of my first visit which should tell you just how strong of an impression the team made. The service was impeccable, perfect balance of check-ins, water refills, and all round professionalism. Our server was Rain and truly, first class service. My friend and I shared the Sea Queen (calamari), and got our own entrees the Hot Thai Noodles and Sweet and Sour Orange Chicken stir fry. Can’t wait to come again!

The servers here are all super friendly and funny. I finally found a garlic white wine clam pasta done right — it was amazing! Not too oily, not too salty, but still really flavorful. The portion was generous too. I absolutely loved it!

Great ambience and decor throughout the restaurant. The view out of the arched windows gives a European feel. There are a few vegetarian options available as well. The host is a very pleasant gentleman who explains everything in great detail. The gnocchi is a standout dish, and ranks among the best gnocchi I've ever had.

I went to Donatello with my friend last month, and I was so surprised that Toronto has such a truly good Italian restaurant! I’ve been living here for two years and have never found an Italian place this authentic. I ordered the Pasta Fungole with scallops and shrimp. it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The service was also above and beyond. Highly recommended!

For those who enjoy being in an environment that blends the new with the old, like to learn details about beer production, and enjoy being in an environment where beer is actually made, visiting 3 Brasseurs is a good option.
The restaurant has a good menu of food, drinks, and beers, but without a wide variety of beers.
The place has a sensational structure to serve a large number of customers and host events, but with very little infrastructure to accommodate customers with reduced mobility and disabilities. They do not have menus in Braille, the entrance doors are spring-loaded, and the floor is smooth and undamaged; they have tables that can be used with wheelchairs and walkers, but the restrooms are located on the upper floors, requiring assistance for customers as there are many flights of stairs.
The restaurant service is okay; on quiet days and during off-peak hours, the attention and service are quite fast and organized. However, when busier times begin, be patient, as it will take longer.
They don't have their own parking, but there are several private parking lots in the area, and it's also just steps from the TEMU metro station.
Worth a visit.

This is a French chain restaurant with locations across Ontario and Quebec, so it helps to keep that in mind when setting expectations. The beer is brewed for scale and has a more mass-produced taste, but it’s still solid and was enjoyed by all.
The space itself is large and spread across multiple levels, which worked well for our party of eight. On Boxing Day, right after a theater show, we only waited about 20 minutes for a table, impressive given the crowds. The location is also very convenient, directly across from the Eaton Centre.
The food is classic pub fare. We tried the fish and chips, flammekueche, poutine, and a few handheld. I regret not adding extra cheese to the Alps Raclette, it definitely needed it. The poutine portion is on the smaller side, so a hungry teenager (or adult) will likely want more. The fish and chips was a solid go to!
Overall, it’s a convenient, lively spot for groups, especially before or after shopping or a show.

Visited 3 Brasseurs and tried the halloumi fries, peach schnapps cocktail, decadent brownie, and fruit explosion mocktail.
Overall, it was good, but not quite what I expected.
Coming from Montreal, I’ve been to 3 Brasseurs multiple times, and there the vibe is lively and the food truly amazing. Here, it felt like something was missing - especially in the fries, the mocktail, and the warmth of the service.
That said, the place still has great potential, and some items like the brownie and cocktail were enjoyable. Would be worth revisiting for the experience.

Had a great experience here!
We ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, Veggie Pasta, and for dessert, the Belgian Waffle - everything was delicious and nicely presented. The flavors were fresh, and the portion sizes were just right.
Our server, Iris, was such a sweet and attentive lady, which made the experience even better.
Definitely recommend this place for a good meal and warm service!

Jasper our server was fantastic! Winterlicious2026 last one was superb! Our apps were delicious! Salad was good plentiful! The cheese toast was yummy! Haddock and chips crunchy fresh and hot! The pie could've been cooked through the bottom was soggy. Our desserts were delightful the sticky toffee pudding was scrumptious and pineapple sorbet was dreamy! Very good will go again.

Queen and Beaver was quiet when we arrived, then quickly filled up with a great buzz. We were seated in the front parlour room, which felt cozy and welcoming. Service was exceptionally quick and professional; drinks arrived fast and the food was on point. Staff were attentive throughout. The happy hour menu offers a nice balance of drinks and food options. Fish and chips were excellent, and the pork chops were perfectly cooked. A wonderful spot to enjoy good food with good friends.

The beetroot salad was the absolute best salad I have had in years!

Such an interesting gastropub! Came by to try their sunday roast and it was quite delicious, but the sticky toffee pudding takes the cake! The prices wasn’t too bad and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back to try other menu items when in the area.

Food was great, we shared the fish and chips and Sunday roast.
Service was awful, the waitress checked like 30 sec after the food hit the table, we didn’t even take a bite yet. Never checked in after that. No one filled our waters or gave a coffee refill. Our change was supposed to be $18 and she only brought $14. If you’re wondering where the other $4 of the tip went, maybe look in the register.

5/5. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Chateaubriand and the meat was cooked to perfection. As a tenderloin cut, it was so juicy! Fries were well salted and perfectly crispy. French onion soup was packed with melted stretchy cheese. Garlic bread was garlicky and crispy as well. The complimentary pickled vegetables was a perfect combination to cut through any greasiness throughout the meal. While it’s a pricey meal, I’d say worth what you pay for.
Atmosphere was decent - there aren’t any windows in the room we were in, but adds to the rustic feel. Tables are decently spacious and there was staff everywhere - food was served decently quickly, water was constantly filled, and plates cleared quickly. Staff was attentive and friendly. We mentioned we wanted to share the French onion soup - and it was served in two bowls. Great service. Would absolutely come back! Great spot for a special occasion or if you’re looking for a good steak night.

Since 1959, Barberian’s Steak House has defined the classic Toronto steakhouse experience.
We started with one of the best steak tartare’s I’ve ever had, freshly seasoned, alongside an outstanding Caesar salad topped with thick-cut seared bacon that added the perfect smoky richness. The massive onion rings were golden, crisp, and a meal itself.
For mains, the 16-ounce rib steak with fries was cooked exactly as ordered — deeply flavorful, tender, and beautifully seared Chicago style to my liking. The side of mushrooms was rich and buttery, pairing perfectly with the steak. The half rack of lamb was equally impressive: super tender, melt in your mouth and cooked to a perfect rarity.
Dessert finished the night with a chocolate mousse layered in a rich white and dark chocolate shell, alongside warm apple beignets served with vanilla ice cream — the perfect sweet ending followed with an espresso.
Overall a fantastic, one of one special experience.
Well done!

Barberian’s Steakhouse remains a premier Toronto destination for a classic, high-end dining experience. Our party of four enjoyed an exceptional meal starting with the rich, crusty French onion soup and fresh steak tartare. The dry-aged porterhouse was perfectly seared and served with crisp fries, while the New York-style cheesecake with strawberry preserves provided a decadent finish. Between the top-tier service and the historic atmosphere filled with original Canadian art, it was a fantastic evening from start to finish.

Menu
House salad
Creamed spinach
Chateaubriand for two
Two glasses of wine
This place is amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Every dish, even the salad, was delicious. I highly recommend Barberian’s if you want to try a great steakhouse. Reservations are recommended.
They have hundreds of wine selections, which is great if you know about wines.
It’s in a great location, right in downtown Toronto.
However, the tables are a little close together, so it’s not the best place to have a conversation. It was pretty noisy even without background music.
The only minor issue was about with a server. He tried to pick up my dishes couple of times without any notice, I hadn’t finished yet. I understood it was quite busy and loud.
But should be more careful!

Absolutely amazing all around. Steak cooked to perfection (highly recommend the 32oz Porterhouse to share for two). Everything is made in house including all the desserts (killer cheesecake!). Wine list is spectacular.
Top notch attentive service.
Huge thanks to our server (Aaron I believe- hopefully that's his name, who gave us a great little post dinner tour of the beautiful wine cellar).
Highly recommended a must visit for steak lovers.

The deluxe burger was so good. The signature chicken was really nice, just a bit too salty for me. But i'm going back to grab the deluxe burger.
Unfortunately homeless people can just walk in and serve themselves free drinks and also beg for money. Not very hygienic.
The staff was super sweet.
Other than these 2 things i had a great experience

Tonight I had the pleasure of dining here and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a delightful meal.
I started with the Thai wings, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. The lemon shrimp soup was a standout, boasting a refreshing citrus kick that complemented the succulent shrimp beautifully. The mixed vegetables were vibrant and fresh, making for a perfect side.
The Chu Chee curry fish was nothing short of divine. The rich, aromatic curry paired wonderfully with the tender fish, and I couldn't get enough of it! The steamed jasmine rice was fluffy and fragrant, the ideal companion to soak up all that delicious curry.
To top it all off, I indulged in the pad Thai with shrimp, which was expertly prepared with just the right balance of sweet and savory. Each bite was a testament to the skill of the chef.
Throughout my meal, the service was exceptional. Kunthira was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the menu and ensuring that my dining experience was seamless from ordering to paying. It was heavy raining out but the service from Kunthira and the delicious food ..my day was brighter.
Overall, my visit here was delightful, and I can't wait to return.

We went here for supper during Winterlicious and really enjoyed it.
The place was busy (always a good sign), but service didn’t suffer at all — our waitress was awesome: friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the crowd.
The Winterlicious meal was solid across the board — good portions, nice presentation, and flavours that hit the mark. Nothing wildly experimental, just well-executed Thai comfort food done right.
Overall, a lively atmosphere, great service, and a very enjoyable meal. We’d definitely go back.

Came here for Winterlicious after going to the spa next door and enjoyed the experience!
We had the coconut soup and pad Thai, and for dessert we each had the chocolate mousse and the traditional Thai dessert. The soups and desserts were very lovely! And portions were generous. For the price, it was a pretty good deal! My friend enjoyed the pad thai but it was a tad bit sweet for my taste. We also ordered a couple of teas (purifying and serenity) and both were delicate and warming!
The atmosphere was beautiful and reminded me of Thailand. It's very serene and cozy! Our server was very friendly and made our dining experience very enjoyable.

Excellent service and authentic flavors!
We had a great time here. The coconut rice was delicious, and the chicken coconut milk soup was incredibly rich and flavorful. We also loved the Siamese beef and the mango salad—both were highlights of the meal.
On the downside, the fried calamari and the spring rolls were a bit too oily for our taste. However, the service was top-notch, and the ginger tea was the perfect way to finish the meal. Highly recommended!

I recently visited Chipotle at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, and while the experience had a few positives, overall it felt more stressful than enjoyable. The service was undeniably fast, and orders were prepared quickly, which is helpful in such a busy downtown location. However, speed seemed to be prioritized over customer experience.
Ordering felt rushed from the moment I stepped up to the counter. The servers appeared to assume that every customer already has complete knowledge of all ingredients and options. There was very little time given to think or decide, and the pace made it easy to miss toppings while trying to keep up. When I later asked to add an extra topping to my bowl, the response felt uncomfortable — including visible eye-rolling — as if the customer had made a mistake. That kind of reaction is unfair and takes away from what should be a welcoming experience.
This visit, I tried the limited-edition Carne Asada, which is described as being expertly grilled throughout the day and seasoned with garlic, cumin, and coriander, then finished with fresh lime and cilantro. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that full blend of flavors. The meat was decent, but the seasoning felt muted, and the dish didn’t live up to its description or expectations.
While the food quality itself was acceptable and service was fast, the rushed atmosphere made the entire experience unpleasant. Slowing down slightly, allowing customers time to decide, and maintaining a respectful attitude would greatly improve this location.
Overall, it was an average visit, but not one I found enjoyable.

First visit here whilst we were in the area, as my daughter seen on TikTok and wanted to try! (we live in the UK) Food plentiful and seemed ok standard for (very) fast food. We had two burrito bowls and one burrito. We went at lunch time so of course very busy. We managed to sit down too. Daughter was happy and we all left full (with leftovers to take home). Overall positive experience for us.

Chipotle has good options for a keto diet. You can build your own bowl with salad, protein, and toppings. Their avocado sauce (Guacamole) is really nice for keto. The food was tasty, but if the seating area had a bit better atmosphere, it would be even better.
