My favourite place in the city! We eat here alllll the time everything is always so delicious and perfect. Omg I can’t even think about it without wanting it immediately. Favs: chicken curry roti, shrimp biryani, tofu biryani, papri chat, samosas. I hardly have pictures from here despite eating there probably like 30 times bc I just devour it ! We get spicy and it’s spicy!

My favourite Annex Indian takeout spot! I enjoy the butter chicken and I like the option to have your meal either with roti or rice. (Included in price) I’ve been going here since I was a youth!
I have always had a good experience ordering from here, I recently ordered a bunch of mains for a party and everyone enjoyed. There was also lots of leftovers due to the large portion sizes!
Whenever I ordered I’m always happy and I end up full with leftovers for the next day! The worked are kind and patient.

Good food but didn't liked one policy of not serving free water. Ambience is average. Although food is yummy & new concept, can be improved more with premium ingredients though!

Roti Cuisine Of India in Toronto, is a pretty decent Indian restaurant. A small and neat restaurant, and very affordable, considering its location. Looks like they are known for roti and curry more than anything, because I spoke to a European couple that specifically spoke about the roti/curry combination and they often come here. Vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetatrian dishes, appetizers, biriyani, and beer are available. I was here for lunch, had a couple beers with Onion Pakoda. Also ordered Aloo Gobi roti and mutter paneer rice. The food was very fresh, tasty but felt the quantity was more for me and too much curry in both the dishes. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

Until now, the best Tim Hortons
Their food isn't the only thing that makes our day, there's some other stuff too, especially their hospitality and quality serving. Another thing I like is the staff's behavior. Thanks to Ms Shima for her warm welcome, and once again thanks to everyone at the restaurant for understanding your customers and valuing them. I really enjoyed it and it makes my day.

Good food & Good people !
I just visited Tim Hortons and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! There was great flavor in the sandwiches – definitely a treat for any foodie. The coffee was perfectly brewed, with a rich taste that complemented the meal beautifully. It was really the friendly and welcoming staff, especially Ms Shima, who enhanced the whole experience with their attentive and warm service. Highly recommended if you want a great meal with a cozy atmosphere.

A Fusion of Flavors with a Cool Vibe
Walking into Martino Pizza & Asian Fusion Kitchen, I was immediately struck by the cool, laid-back vibe that this place exudes. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience, blending the comfort of a local pizza joint with the intrigue of Asian cuisine. The setting, with its urban charm visible through the large windows, makes for a perfect backdrop to enjoy your meal.
The food here was genuinely nice, offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. However, the star of the show for me was undoubtedly the General Tao Pizza. This unique fusion dish was a delightful surprise; the crispy crust was a canvas for the sweet and spicy General Tao sauce, topped with pieces of chicken that brought an authentic taste of Asian cuisine to an Italian classic. While the pizza flavor was slightly overpowered by the bold General Tao sauce, this fusion worked wonderfully, creating a harmonious balance that was both familiar and exciting.
The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the unique offerings, ranging from $10 to $20, which makes it accessible without compromising on the experience.
If you're in Toronto and looking for a place where you can enjoy a cool atmosphere while indulging in some innovative fusion cuisine, Martino Pizza & Asian Fusion Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for the General Tao Pizza to take your taste buds on an unexpected yet delightful journey.

We were excited to try the famous General Tao pizza after hearing so much about it. Although some reviews made us worry it might be overrated, we found it to be fairly well-rated overall. It’s not a pizza you’d “die for,” but it’s definitely something fun and unique to try.
We ordered the medium size, which turned out to be a bit too large for two people, especially since we planned to eat somewhere else afterward. If you’re just looking to sample the pizza, I’d recommend starting with a small. If you love it, you can always return for more!
As for the pizza itself, it’s good, but not the best pizza you’ll ever have. The General Tao chicken works well on top, though it’s essentially sweet and sour chicken. Just keep in mind that there isn’t much chicken on the pizza — most of it is fried batter tossed in the sauce. While the taste is still enjoyable, the chicken can be a bit messy and might stain your fingers, so be prepared for that.
On the positive side, the owners are incredibly sweet and provide excellent service. The seating is limited, but I think it adds to the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the place.

In March 2025, they added a superb Home made Meatball Sandwich. **Martino Pizza Restaurant Review**
March Madness isn’t just about basketball—it’s about bold flavors and game-changing menu additions at Martino’s! Their new meatball sandwich is a slam dunk. Imagine fresh-baked bread, made to order for each sandwich, with a generous portion of juicy meatballs, thick marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella. The onions and peppers add a perfect kick, but what really sets this apart is how tidy and satisfying it is to eat. No mess, just pure, handheld deliciousness.
Martino’s has always been a powerhouse with their pizza, pasta, and even Asian dishes, and now this meatball sandwich is another unstoppable weapon in their lineup. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order—this is a must-try. Holy Martino!

I dined alone and sat on the patio, which was quite nice and provided a perfect seat for observing Toronto traffic mania at the intersection of Dupont and Spadina. Service was friendly. Wait was very short. I had the mango mocktail (refreshing), mushroom soup (very good), and pulled beef sandwich (delicious). I would definitely visit again if in the area.

Be advised that at this location alcohol is not sold.
I did learn that I am not a fan of food that is smoked, however my wife loved it and I trust her pallet. What I did love of theirs was their sliders, fried pickles, coleslaw, mac n cheese and even though I did not completely enjoy their smoked meats I do definitely appreciate the talent and love that the team puts in cooking the food.
Their meat is quality, cooked to perfection, absolutely juicy and fall-off-the-bone.

We had an absolutely amazing time here. Was in town to see Casa Loma and do some shopping and this place was in walking distance. What a pleasant surprise the brisket, beans, and burger were standouts while all the other food was delicious. Our waitress/hostess made sure we were well taken care of also. Will definitely return next time we are in Toronto.

Ordered take out from uber and we only live about 1 km away. The chicken fingers had an extremely sour taste that did not seem right and the Cole slaw was just soggy pickles. The brisket Mac and cheese was watery with a random spice to it that did not taste good enough to eat unfortunately. Will not be wasting my money here again.

The meat was flavorful and well-prepared, but the overall cleanliness could use improvement. The tables and floors were quite greasy, and the toilets could be much cleaner. While I enjoyed the food, I’d consider visiting a different branch next time.

Irredeemably bad is how I'd classify this restaurant. The food was poor, it took forever, and it cost a lot. We had two orders of guacamole, one was good but very small portion and the other had literally no flavor. The variation was enormous. The shrimp ceviche wasn't ceviche at all. It was shrimp in canned tomatoe sauce. The nachos didn't come with what they said they would. And the chicken fajitas were super bland. Literally nothing was good about the food. The cocktail tasted like juice and was horrible.
The server however was lovely. And he did discount our food given that they 1) got our order wrong multiple times and 2) it took over 1 hour for the first appetizer to appear after ordering.

Ordered an Americano & the organic oat gluten free cookie and it was great! Super soft and tasty. I love that they have a bunch of healthy options and the fact that they even displayed the amount of protein each cookie have? 10000/10! Wish more places could do that!!!
They have a cute little patio that it was so lovely to hanged at. The whole vibe of the place was super nice, love the deco! I’ll definitely come back, my only complain is that the prices, mostly for the food/sandwiches are overpriced, even if they’re made with top ingredients.
Ana De La O - in the last week
After discovering this new vegan café on Google Maps, I journeyed over from North York and was excited to visit. It’s located a block east of Dupont Station, right on the corner on Madison.
The food was very good. I tried the onigiri, which had nice flavour, along with a delicious and fluffy cinnamon focaccia with a soy latte! The café also offers soup, sandwiches, and other treats like cookies and muffins. But I felt the overall prices, especially for the onigiri at 6.99, was a bit steep.
In addition, I found the café’s identity a bit confusing. With onigiri on the menu, I expected more Japanese or Asian-inspired offerings. The service was lukewarm, and while the space is visually appealing, it’s not very practical. There are no proper tables—just low coffee tables—which makes eating there a bit uncomfortable. I also couldn’t spot a washroom, which might be inconvenient for some visitors.
I’d probably return because I want to support vegan businesses, but only to-go and if I'm already in the area. That said, I’d likely choose Ezra's or First & Last across the street for their vegan options, friendly service, and better prices.

The woman working was lovely. She was very accommodating. But you need to have a second person working. My partner and I ordered a drink each, a sandwich and some sweets and she had to turn away customers after us (letting them know she needed 15 minutes to finish her previous order) and lost some sales. Having a second person wouldn’t lose you any money (with labour) because you’d be saving it gaining sales and potentially new regular customers.

Dining experience itself was fine, staff lovely. With that said, $25 for a pizza with so few toppings and minimal cheese is not worth it. In this city with so many pizza options, you could do far better for $25. The economy is hard for everyone but it’s insulting to pay such a high price for something that at the end of the day was predominantly sauce and dough.
Their pizza didn’t used to be so naked either, slowly have noticed trimming of toppings but this last order was enough to make me review. Didn’t finish the food, packed it up to go home where it was tossed out.
Customers! Be aware before you order the pizzas - there are better options out there for the same pricing

Bruschetta was… plain bread and tomatoes pretty much
I had the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and I have to give it maybe 5.5/10. It lacked flavour for me, tastes plain.
My friend got the Shrimp Scampi and it was definitely better I would give that one a 7/10 it was slightly flavourful but nothing crazy.
The peach Bellini drink was okay I think they gave the wrong drink tho, but it’s not something I would get again.

My girl friends and I came here for a work lunch together after visiting Casa Loma, and was this Italian food ever stellar!
The lady who waited on us was lovely. Kind, had a great sense of humour and recommendations! The restaurant is really neatly decorated to give it that vintage diner vibe.
For drinks, a couple of the gals got some Espresso Martinis while I got a non-alcoholic Non-Peach Berry Bellini. It was so refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness! We got the Burrata Caprese and Cheesey Garlic Bread as our starters to split. You could tell everything was made to order: piping hot, fresh and all around delicious!
For my main I got their Gnocchi. It was perfectly cooked and served in a delicious rosé sauce. Watch out for those chilli flakes though, they pack quite the punch! For dessert we got their Tiramisu to split, which was fluffy in every bite.
A fantastic Italian restaurant suitable for all group sizes. We loved our meals here!

Rather disappointing experience given the high ratings. Ordered the funghi pasta, margherita pizza, stella burger, parmesan house fries. The funghi pasta tasted very starchy and left a starchy aftertaste in my mouth that overpowered any mushroom that may have been present. You can probably summarize the taste of the rest of the dishes as simply mediocre. Pretty much the only thing that wasn't a disappointment and tasted like something was the burger and the fries, but the fries have no business being that expensive for literally a handful of fries.
Service was acceptable, but food did come delayed. There's a pizza oven in the front, that's cool.
In conclusion, there is room for improvement.

I'm big on flavor & freshness & unfortunately the day me & my sister were I'm.. it just wasn't it.
The tortilla & guacamole was great but I don't even eat meat & I broke it to try the Birria taco & the lamb was unfortunately dry & lacked flavor because it dried out so much. The dip it comes with tasted more of a tasteless beef broth & I didn't love it. The fish tacos were better, but I was not reminded of being in Mexico or at my friends mom's where they use rich bold Mexican flavors!
There were only 2 girls working & they were chatting a bunch lol.
I love my food, big flavors & spice, so maybe it was just a off day, next time! ✨️
Cute spot though, was still nice to have a cold beer!

Additionally, they provide 3 free sauces for everybody and they are very good (esp the Salsa Verde)

You can tell this restaurant is still young. Food was delicious and the space was beautiful. However, the service needs a little tweaking and refining. At first things came out at a nice pace... But suddenly everything started to come out all at once. There was not enough room on the table... They had to stand holding the food until we could move around plates so they could put it down. And then when more food came out they had to start pouring the 3 bread plates together to consolidate (not a good look) to make space. Also the bottle of wine we got we had to get up ourselves get the bottle and top ourselves up. Maybe just leave the bottle at/by the table or be a little more observant when glasses are empty. I think once they iron out the kinks and get their timing right the dining experience will be more enjoyable. Would love to come back when they do.

Louf is one of those places where we enjoyed our experience, but hard to put on our list of recommendation due to the price for the amount of food you get. For transparency, the prices include gratuity.
Service was warm and attentive. The menu is designed to order a dish or two dishes from each section and share. The za'atar bread is exceptional (albeit $6 for two approximately 1"x2" pieces of bread is steep); it made me get za'atar to sprinkle on my homemade breads.
The small plates really shine compare to the large plates. The Kibbeh nayyeh (Palestinian tartare) was really good with the spices and fine bulgur for texture. We also really like the Dajaj pate as the onion sumac jam goes so well with the chicken liver pate.
Our least favourite was the braised beef dish with tamarind and pomegranate molasses. It was the most expensive dish we got for 5 pieces of stewed beef, and no accompanied side like rice or bread to soak up the sauce. The beef was also dry and stringy, which is likely due to the lean cut of beef used.
We can tell that there is so much intention in food, and there were more highs than lows, but we didn't quite leave the restaurant feeling it was well worth the cost.

I had such a great time at Louf. The food was very fresh and full of flavour. I tried a handful of dishes from the menu, including the shorabet qare’, jibne nabulsiye, labaneh w humeid, mozet kharouf bil laban jameed and mouhallabieh. I really enjoyed the chef’s take on Palestinian cuisine. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing.
The place itself is so warm and welcoming and the service was great. Our server was super friendly and had great recommendations to help us choose from the menu.
Such a great spot, I can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant is located inside an 1800s building and very close to Casa Loma, making it the perfect choice for brunch, lunch or dinner after a nice stroll around the castle. It has a cute snd cozy patio with a copule of tables. The restaurant is beautifully spread through 2 floors with a private dining room on the second floor. The tables are meticulously decorated and the plates are handmade from Palestine.
The menu is curated by the amazing Chef Fadi Kattan, where he introduces Palestinian cuisine to the customers.
We made a reservation for a Friday dinner and enjoyed our meal from the beautiful view of the second floor. We ordered “Ka’ek al Quds” and
“Khoubz Bil Zaatar” from bread menu. Khoubz Bil Zaatar was fluffy and delicious; perfect for dipping. “Ka’ek al Quds” is like a bagel with different texture and flavour.
We ordered “Kibbeh Nayeh” and “Dajaj Pate” from Small Plates menu and “Yakhni Lahma Bil Tamar Hindi” and “Bukjeh Freekeh Bil Khodra” from the Large Plates menu. Every dish was put together with care and was prepared with perfect spices. They were fresh and delicious.
We paired our meal with “Alf Laylah Wa-Laylah” and
“Bustan Shishmish” that were put together by the creative bartender. Perfect addition to our meal.
We finished off our dinner with “Milk Pudding” and “Ice Cream” from the deserts menu. We loved the aroma and taste of rose water and orange in the milk pudding. The Palestinian ice cream had a different texture and was delicious.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing dinner with great vibes.

Louf took me to travel to the Levantine area and forget about the dirty snowbank outside in winter Toronto for 1.5 hrs. We opted for a $60 lunch set menu which would limit us to a quick 45-minute lunch, however, we ended up enjoying a slow lunch for a longer period with no issues.
Both taboun & zaatar bread were either made from rye, spelt, or a mixture of regular flour & whole wheat which was so different from bread options at other restaurants. Tasted so healthy and not oily at all.
Simple fermented chili condiments were great for spicy chili lovers like me, I thought it was such a brave choice to add that to the set menu though. Green olives that were also part of the set menu condiments were very delish! They were small, firmer, and had just the right amount of saltiness.
A star of the show was red lentil soup though. Not sure how without chicken stock, this vegan soup had so much flavor. It was very very good. Olive oil drizzle also added a silky texture and I loved the lemony taste after.
When I thought two pieces of bread and a bowl of soup could have been just enough for lunch, the main dishes were served.
Well.. I could always make extra room for the main course.
By the way, the service was very attentive. The serving staff gave us enough time to finish the course by course, yet checked on us to clear the table. It was neither rushed nor slow.
The only meat dish of the day was the main dish, beef stew( Yakhini) with tamarind sauce, pomegranate molasses, & pomegranate. Very different than your ordinary beef stew. The meat was in between tender and chewy which I liked, the sauce had a bit of acidity and sweetness, that made heavy meat dishes to be balanced summer dishes.
Tried the other option for the main dish, a vegan flaky phyllo pastry, filled with spiced "freekeh" grains, dried raisins & apricots & almonds on top. The combination of grain, dried fruit, and nuts in flaky pastry was so much fun to eat.
The finale was sage ice cream from Nablus Creamery ( I believe they make Arabic-style ice cream). The texture was stickier and stretchy, later on, I learned from Google research that they add natural mastic gum to hold ice cream from hot weather that was why. Cool.
Lastly, did I know that this restaurant follows NO tip policy? No, I was not aware. Imagine my face when was looking at the credit card terminal with no tip option.
It was a pleasant lunch dining experience.
