We visited Roti Cuisine of India during our trip to Canada 🇨🇦 after seeing it recommended online. We ordered the Butter Chicken Roti and discovered a dish that felt uniquely Canadian something we hadn’t seen before! The roti was used as a wrap, filled with rich, flavourful curry wrapped in soft, warm bread. It had a nice balance of spice and heat, and I really enjoyed it. I’d definitely have it again!
However, there were a few issues with the dine-in experience. Although the restaurant advertises itself as an eat-in place and has tables and chairs inside, it’s clear that it mainly operates as a takeaway spot.
There were a couple of inconveniences:
They wouldn’t accept our international cards or credit cards, so we had to leave and withdraw cash from an ATM.
When we asked for water, we were told they don’t provide tap water because they're a takeout business - which contradicts their dine-in setup and advertising.

I ordered a Malai Kofta Roti and honestly this was one of the tastiest dishes ive ever had. The portions are big, the potato is cooked to perfection and apparently they have a store in Sydney so I will for sure be checking it out! 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants a warm meal.

My favourite place in the city! We eat here alllll the time everything is always so delicious and perfect. Omg I can’t even think about it without wanting it immediately. Favs: chicken curry roti, shrimp biryani, tofu biryani, papri chat, samosas. I hardly have pictures from here despite eating there probably like 30 times bc I just devour it ! We get spicy and it’s spicy!

Decent takeout spot that I have been going to for many years but have noticed the quality has gone down lately. The sauce has become more watery with less fillings and flavour. I got the saag paneer and there was about half as much paneer as the last time I ordered chopped up into really small pieces.
I know restaurants are struggling with food inflation and they're probably trying to keep their costs down but I would really rather they raise their prices a bit more and keep the quality.

I went there last month when I visited Toronto. The food was good and fresh but they don't serve any hot drinks. It was snowing on that day so I wanted to have a hot drink but unfortunately they don't. Probably they can consider having it as an option since in Asia it is common to have both. The staff was good and the place was well maintained.

We were excited to try the famous General Tao pizza after hearing so much about it. Although some reviews made us worry it might be overrated, we found it to be fairly well-rated overall. It’s not a pizza you’d “die for,” but it’s definitely something fun and unique to try.
We ordered the medium size, which turned out to be a bit too large for two people, especially since we planned to eat somewhere else afterward. If you’re just looking to sample the pizza, I’d recommend starting with a small. If you love it, you can always return for more!
As for the pizza itself, it’s good, but not the best pizza you’ll ever have. The General Tao chicken works well on top, though it’s essentially sweet and sour chicken. Just keep in mind that there isn’t much chicken on the pizza — most of it is fried batter tossed in the sauce. While the taste is still enjoyable, the chicken can be a bit messy and might stain your fingers, so be prepared for that.
On the positive side, the owners are incredibly sweet and provide excellent service. The seating is limited, but I think it adds to the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the place.

A Fusion of Flavors with a Cool Vibe
Walking into Martino Pizza & Asian Fusion Kitchen, I was immediately struck by the cool, laid-back vibe that this place exudes. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience, blending the comfort of a local pizza joint with the intrigue of Asian cuisine. The setting, with its urban charm visible through the large windows, makes for a perfect backdrop to enjoy your meal.
The food here was genuinely nice, offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. However, the star of the show for me was undoubtedly the General Tao Pizza. This unique fusion dish was a delightful surprise; the crispy crust was a canvas for the sweet and spicy General Tao sauce, topped with pieces of chicken that brought an authentic taste of Asian cuisine to an Italian classic. While the pizza flavor was slightly overpowered by the bold General Tao sauce, this fusion worked wonderfully, creating a harmonious balance that was both familiar and exciting.
The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the unique offerings, ranging from $10 to $20, which makes it accessible without compromising on the experience.
If you're in Toronto and looking for a place where you can enjoy a cool atmosphere while indulging in some innovative fusion cuisine, Martino Pizza & Asian Fusion Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for the General Tao Pizza to take your taste buds on an unexpected yet delightful journey.

The chef is really nice, and he can really cook. This restaurant is not that expensive, but it isn’t cheap. The highlights of this restaurant are the Naples Margherita, Shanghai noodles, and the general Tao’s chicken. The Naples Margherita is so gooood!!! This is probably on of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. 5 stars for this experience, and nothing to complain about :). Though the restaurant is quite tiny, and there aren’t many seats.

In March 2025, they added a superb Home made Meatball Sandwich. **Martino Pizza Restaurant Review**
March Madness isn’t just about basketball—it’s about bold flavors and game-changing menu additions at Martino’s! Their new meatball sandwich is a slam dunk. Imagine fresh-baked bread, made to order for each sandwich, with a generous portion of juicy meatballs, thick marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella. The onions and peppers add a perfect kick, but what really sets this apart is how tidy and satisfying it is to eat. No mess, just pure, handheld deliciousness.
Martino’s has always been a powerhouse with their pizza, pasta, and even Asian dishes, and now this meatball sandwich is another unstoppable weapon in their lineup. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order—this is a must-try. Holy Martino!

I live close by but never had the chance to check out this place. Visited on a random day after work, ordered a standard signature burger with sweet potato fries, and OMG it was way above my expectation! Crispy fries, juicy and huge beef patty with some caramelized onions, perfect for a quick EOD escape meal (though my gym coach would hate it afterwards). Also great service, was welcomed and served with smile. Definitely will come back soon!

I dined alone and sat on the patio, which was quite nice and provided a perfect seat for observing Toronto traffic mania at the intersection of Dupont and Spadina. Service was friendly. Wait was very short. I had the mango mocktail (refreshing), mushroom soup (very good), and pulled beef sandwich (delicious). I would definitely visit again if in the area.

We were a group of 4 and we got the Three Yard group meal. It was fantastic! The brisket and Lamb Shank were so tender and tasty! All the sauces were great (each of us had a favorite between the bbq, honey mustard and the hot sauce), the mac and cheese, mushroom confit, curly fries and coleslaw were also very good. Curious to try out the other meat!
The staff was very accommodating, didn’t take a long time for us to get our food after ordering and we got water refills super quick without even asking.
We will be back to try the other stuff in the menu!

As everyone has said, the Cesar salad was delicious. The half chicken was also delicious and moist,.the rub was awesome. The mac and cheese was very good along with shrimp. However the brisket was under seasoned from a rub point of view and the meat itself was over cooked and dry, now in fairness I do smoke a lot of my own meat and do brisket fairly often so I am pickey. I also cant help wonder if the brisket is sliced well in advance of being plated. Also the mushrooms, dont bother order one of the options, not good at all. Oh and corn bread was perfect and the server was very good.

Be advised that at this location alcohol is not sold.
I did learn that I am not a fan of food that is smoked, however my wife loved it and I trust her pallet. What I did love of theirs was their sliders, fried pickles, coleslaw, mac n cheese and even though I did not completely enjoy their smoked meats I do definitely appreciate the talent and love that the team puts in cooking the food.
Their meat is quality, cooked to perfection, absolutely juicy and fall-off-the-bone.

Irredeemably bad is how I'd classify this restaurant. The food was poor, it took forever, and it cost a lot. We had two orders of guacamole, one was good but very small portion and the other had literally no flavor. The variation was enormous. The shrimp ceviche wasn't ceviche at all. It was shrimp in canned tomatoe sauce. The nachos didn't come with what they said they would. And the chicken fajitas were super bland. Literally nothing was good about the food. The cocktail tasted like juice and was horrible.
The server however was lovely. And he did discount our food given that they 1) got our order wrong multiple times and 2) it took over 1 hour for the first appetizer to appear after ordering.

Ordered an Americano & the organic oat gluten free cookie and it was great! Super soft and tasty. I love that they have a bunch of healthy options and the fact that they even displayed the amount of protein each cookie have? 10000/10! Wish more places could do that!!!
They have a cute little patio that it was so lovely to hanged at. The whole vibe of the place was super nice, love the deco! I’ll definitely come back, my only complain is that the prices, mostly for the food/sandwiches are overpriced, even if they’re made with top ingredients.

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this cute little shop. This morning I made my first dedicated visit:
I ordered a coffee and an organic oatmeal cookie. Both were very good. Also, the young gent who served me was polite and courteous. Great customer service skills are most appreciated. Coffees and cookies are just half of one's experience at such a store. Side notes: the decor and ambience are inviting. There's also a cozy little patio.

A hidden gem in the middle of the city! So glad we stumbled upon it! We had the garlic bread, rigatoni vodka pasta and margherita pizza! The pasta could have been better, but the bread and pizza were great! But I would definitely come back for the vibe, the patio is so aesthetic and cozy! Would recommend for a great vibe and good food!

Bruschetta was… plain bread and tomatoes pretty much
I had the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and I have to give it maybe 5.5/10. It lacked flavour for me, tastes plain.
My friend got the Shrimp Scampi and it was definitely better I would give that one a 7/10 it was slightly flavourful but nothing crazy.
The peach Bellini drink was okay I think they gave the wrong drink tho, but it’s not something I would get again.

My girl friends and I came here for a work lunch together after visiting Casa Loma, and was this Italian food ever stellar!
The lady who waited on us was lovely. Kind, had a great sense of humour and recommendations! The restaurant is really neatly decorated to give it that vintage diner vibe.
For drinks, a couple of the gals got some Espresso Martinis while I got a non-alcoholic Non-Peach Berry Bellini. It was so refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness! We got the Burrata Caprese and Cheesey Garlic Bread as our starters to split. You could tell everything was made to order: piping hot, fresh and all around delicious!
For my main I got their Gnocchi. It was perfectly cooked and served in a delicious rosé sauce. Watch out for those chilli flakes though, they pack quite the punch! For dessert we got their Tiramisu to split, which was fluffy in every bite.
A fantastic Italian restaurant suitable for all group sizes. We loved our meals here!

We had a wonderful experience at this Mexican street food restaurant. The team was amazing—friendly, attentive, and great at explaining the dishes. The horchata and tamarind drinks were refreshing and delicious. The tacos were packed with flavor, especially the lamb served with a rich, savory consomé. The cheese and bean quesadillas were perfectly cheesy and satisfying. Overall, a delightful meal with warm hospitality.

Visited with family Tuesday night. Everything was amazing, our server was friendly and was able to provide information and history about each dish! Palestinian cuisine, elevated. Simply amazing! The food, the service, and the ambiance! Take a journey through the Palestinian hills and valleys through familiar dishes with renowned Chef Fadi Kattan’s interpretation, that brings out the unique flavors of the different regions. And if you’re lucky enough to get Yousef as your server, you’re in for a treat.

You can tell this restaurant is still young. Food was delicious and the space was beautiful. However, the service needs a little tweaking and refining. At first things came out at a nice pace... But suddenly everything started to come out all at once. There was not enough room on the table... They had to stand holding the food until we could move around plates so they could put it down. And then when more food came out they had to start pouring the 3 bread plates together to consolidate (not a good look) to make space. Also the bottle of wine we got we had to get up ourselves get the bottle and top ourselves up. Maybe just leave the bottle at/by the table or be a little more observant when glasses are empty. I think once they iron out the kinks and get their timing right the dining experience will be more enjoyable. Would love to come back when they do.

Louf is one of those places where we enjoyed our experience, but hard to put on our list of recommendation due to the price for the amount of food you get. For transparency, the prices include gratuity.
Service was warm and attentive. The menu is designed to order a dish or two dishes from each section and share. The za'atar bread is exceptional (albeit $6 for two approximately 1"x2" pieces of bread is steep); it made me get za'atar to sprinkle on my homemade breads.
The small plates really shine compare to the large plates. The Kibbeh nayyeh (Palestinian tartare) was really good with the spices and fine bulgur for texture. We also really like the Dajaj pate as the onion sumac jam goes so well with the chicken liver pate.
Our least favourite was the braised beef dish with tamarind and pomegranate molasses. It was the most expensive dish we got for 5 pieces of stewed beef, and no accompanied side like rice or bread to soak up the sauce. The beef was also dry and stringy, which is likely due to the lean cut of beef used.
We can tell that there is so much intention in food, and there were more highs than lows, but we didn't quite leave the restaurant feeling it was well worth the cost.

Wow!! totally exceeded my expectations.
Approaching the restaurant, i was so impressed with how beautiful and charming the outside was - the flowers, the outside patio, the lovely little “welcome” tile beside of big cellar-like door… just stunning. Felt like I had walked into a little garden in a different city! The interiors were modern yet warm and homey.
Food was absolutely delicious. The hummus with spices, beef, pine nuts was top notch; and we paired it with two types of bread. The breads were so soft and had excellent flavours and texture. Hummus was
so flavourful and all the flavours were so perfectly balanced. The batatas (fried potatoes) were fried perfectly: crisp on the outside and soft inside, and not soaked in oil. The lemon-sumac yogurt was fresh and excellent. The crepe with ashta cheese was a delicious sweet finish; not too sweet, floral aromatic and the coffee maple syrup with pistachios was an excellent garnish. Sage ice cream was so unique; texture was buttery and soft mochi-like and flavour was fresh, perfect for a hot summer day!
Cappuccino, delicious.
Some wines on the menu seem delicious; will have to come back for dinner to try!
Our server was friendly, casual, but yet professional and knowledgeable as well.
I know some reviews were upset about prices but tbh i thought prices were fair. If gratuities were not included and food prices were lower, our bill would still have been similar
to what it would have been after we tipped. I wholeheartedly support paying staff living wages!
Definitely coming back.
