5 Star Rating Wonderful staff. Front hosts/reception is very welcoming and servers are kind and patient. Overall, the food is a good go to for simple and reliable Italian food. The fried calamari was the highlight of the dinner. Lightly crispy, not chewy and fresh. The atmosphere is superb especially the back patio on a sunny day.

5 Star Rating Our daughter invited us to Terroni restaurant for Mother's Day. The pasta, gnocchi, and pizza were all deliciously prepared. The highlight, though, was the dessert—specially made for the occasion. However, what was absolutely perfect to my taste, including the temperature, was the cappuccino. We love this restaurant. Please visit—it won’t disappoint

4 Star Rating The restaurant is inside a historic jail. Highly recommend checking it out as the interior is super cool, decor is fantastic and atmosphere is very nice. Music is a tad bit too loud but not a big deal. Food came super quickly and the service is overall timely. Portion was a little smaller than I expected but tasty and filling.

5 Star Rating Terroni’s was absolutely delicious with great service! We even got a little history lesson, the building used to be a courthouse, and it was really cool seeing the old jail cells in the basement on our way to the bathroom. The food was amazing, everything was very well done. Definitely a wonderful experience!

3 Star Rating The space was beautiful, spacious, and stylish, great for events, dates, or business meetings. The food, or at least the pizzas we tried, was average to slightly above average, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu and cannoli desserts had a standard Italian taste, nothing to complain about but not memorable either. Our main server was neither friendly nor professional, though the staff who brought the food were polite and did a good job.

5 Star Rating I had a fantastic experience at Jump Restaurant for their Valentine’s Day menu. The food was incredible—every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive, perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great night with amazing food and drinks, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

4 Star Rating Lovely restaurant. Came here with my colleagues and enjoyed the Winterlicious menu. Ambience and service was great too. However, if you are not a sweet tooth, don’t ask for the Chocolate pudding. that stuff was toooo sweet, i took 1* away for that. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

3 Star Rating The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by our server, who was unwelcoming. Additionally, the dessert was underwhelming, and the soup was quite basic. While there were some positives, the service and food quality left much to be desired.

5 Star Rating Fantastic experience hosting my wedding at Jump restaurant. Great experience working with the events team, pricing is clear, and the restaurant staff did an amazing job with the food and service. This is the PERFECT LOCATION for intimate weddings, the restaurant already has good amount of decor (cute lighting and wine cellar back drop) so we didn’t have to decorate a big empty space. We did the wedding ceremony at the cocktail area, which is a separate room from the dining space, the space is very cute and warm, guests get to huddle before the ceremony. After the ceremony, our guests loved the canapés … highly recommend the chicken skewer and calamari. For mains, everyone enjoyed the steak, salmon and mushroom ravioli. The portion sizes are very good. The highlight of the course is the pastry cheese cake, it’s very unique and adds special flavour to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend the space and everyone enjoyed the celebration. Shout out to the events and dining team (Andrea, Jessica etc)

4 Star Rating Had the pleasure to come back for my third tasting menu with Canoe. Drinks never disappoint. Starters were delicious, tasty and refreshing for the palate. 5 Star Rating Of course the food was great, but can we talk about Steven? I mean this Michelin star restaurant delivered with the Chef's tasting, but the service really set it apart from other fine dining experiences I have had. Steven wasn't just our waiter, he was our gracious host. And there was a cast of people timing each course to perfection. Canoe will go in the books for one of our all time favorites.

I ordered the salmon, scallops, and a dessert, and everything was delicious. My husband had the onion soup and duck, which were also amazing. Just a heads-up: the portions are small, as expected from fine dining, but that lets you savor more dishes. Overall, a fantastic place for a special occasion!

5 Star Rating What a charming restaurant. Great ambiance when you enter. Wonderful upscale touches throughout. Great menu. Highly recommend the fondue for an appetizer. We also got the poutine...they have a little different twist on it . So so good! Our food was good. The steak was covered in a sauce which we were are not quite accustomed to and in our opinion the meat could have used a little more seasoning. The fish tacos were marvelous. The slaw on the fish taco is the best I have tasted. It added great flavor and texture to the taco. The fish in the taco was well seasoned and succulent. They have the best coffee and some really nice desserts. We enjoyed this establishment.

I would not come for the food only but in combination with the beer it is awesome. The really care about the beer and it is Czech guy approved. I liked the Scottich whiskey barrel aged ale. 4 Star Rating Stopped in here for a quick bite (9:30pm), they were busy but overall seated quickly. The server took our order and brought our food within a reasonable time. Food and drinks were ok overall not bad place to stop in for a pint or a quick bite but unsure of their menu choice as they had I believe butter chicken as one of their specials? I could be wrong as it was a few weeks back since I ate there but I know it wasn’t really along that “typical” pub menu which isn’t bad just not expected..overall not bad at all.

5 Star Rating They’re kind of expected to have great Guinness and they didn’t disappoint - smooth and crisp. We had the fish and chips and the crocodile bites. Gotta day, the fish was great but the crocodile bites were amazing! Never thought of trying it before, but I’m glad I did. The crocodile is a lunch special, so you may not see it all the time but it’s definitely worth trying if you do. Staff was friendly and attentive, but not to a point of being annoying - just enough check in for fresh drinks. The dining area was clean and the TVs didn’t have their volume cranked which is a nice change. Just enough class for a business lunch without feeling stuffy.

3 Star Rating The food is always amazing here, every time I'm in Toronto I need to visit! Atmosphere is more like a sports bar though as it's very loud and filled with people drinking after work. We had to stand for a few hours, but the great live music made it worthwhile. There was a $15 cover per person (cash cover), but I think it was worth it. Nice intimate ambience. 5 Star Rating It’s usually hard for me to have a nice birthday in Toronto since I am a winter baby but this was by fair one of the best birthday I have had! There was cover at the door, which makes sense since there’s live music, but coat check was complimentary. We were seated at a booth near the front next to the sweetest women. We ordered some appetizers and drinks since we were there for a night out. The food was phenomenal and so were the drinks. We were able to leave our table to dance and it was safe for us to leave our belongings at the table. The atmosphere was amazing: moody lighting and live music. I believe Queen Pepper was playing that night - amazing stage presence! We met so many interesting people and had fun conversations. The woman next to us had told the server that it was my birthday and the server brought out a slice of cake with a candle! We also got complimentary lemon drops! Overall amazing service and vibe. Everyone we interacted with was really friendly and accommodating. Free coat check is available. There is a $10 cover charge for entering. I do suggest making reservations for better seats. Regardless, you can hear the music perfectly from wherever you sit! Drinks are good!! We got the strawberry coconut martini, wine, and a lychee mocktail. We ordered the seared tuna tataki (drowned it in an over bearing sauce that I had to scrape it off). Their Quattro pizza was just okay. Creme brulee was good except the sugar was too burnt for 1/2 the dish that I was removing it & just eating the cream portion. Would come back again as they have different artists playing each day!

4 Star Rating Bar and restaurant geared towards jazz fans. The place has an intimate and minimalist vibe, with low lighting, good service and a good menu. The restaurant focuses on making Martines, but also serves other drinks and wines. The only thing that leaves a lot to be desired is the acoustics of the venue, which makes it almost impossible to hear the music with the noise of the crowd, and most people go there to drink to their limits. The venue is well located, close to bus stops and the King subway, and there is paid parking on the street. It is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with other disabilities.

4 Star Rating I recently visited Nami, and I have to say the sushi was absolutely amazing—authentically prepared and full of fresh, rich flavours. The attention to detail in each dish was spot on, and every bite felt like a true taste of Japan. The atmosphere was also lovely, with a peaceful, traditional setting. However, I was a bit taken aback by the portion sizes considering the high prices. While the quality of the food definitely made up for a lot, I found myself wishing there was a bit more on the plate for what I was paying. For those looking for a hearty meal, the portions might leave you wanting. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for the incredible sushi, but be prepared for the price and portions not to quite match up.

5 Star Rating Without a doubt one of the best japanese restaurants I've ever been to! Their menu is focused around sushi and sashimi but there are a lot of cooked dishes as well. Extremely fresh and high quality ingredients are thoughtfully executed here, and its no wonder why this is one of Toronto's oldest sushi joints. The ingredients are so fresh that I, pleasantly, didn't even recognize the flavors of some fish I often order. The black cod may be the single best cooked fish I've ever tasted and highly recommend! Service is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. Traditional feeling, yet intimate and cozy! The menu is on the pricier side but it's absolutely worth it, considering quality and execution is better than most other places I've had in the same price range. Highly, highly recommend!

4 Star Rating I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hothouse with a few friends for breakfast, and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet modern atmosphere that made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our meal. They were quick to guide us to our table and ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The breakfast buffet at Hothouse is definitely worth mentioning. It featured an impressive variety of dishes, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. I particularly enjoyed the wide selection of non-veg items, which included everything from savory sausages and eggs to grilled meats and fresh seafood. There was something for everyone, whether you were in the mood for a hearty meal or something lighter. The buffet also had a great selection of fresh fruits, which were perfect for balancing out the richer dishes. Additionally, there was a fantastic array of desserts, including pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats that were just the right amount of indulgent. Everything was well-prepared and fresh, showing attention to detail in both taste and presentation. Overall, Hothouse provided a wonderful breakfast experience. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere made it a great place to start the day with friends. Whether you’re a fan of traditional breakfast items or looking to try something different, Hothouse offers a little bit of everything. I’d definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again in the future.

5 Star Rating We had an amazing brunch. It's a beautiful, inviting space with large windows letting plenty of light in. The servers were quick and the food delicious. We got a French toast and an omelette, and both were so tasty. I would definitely go back to try their other options.

5 Star Rating This restaurant and bar in downtown Toronto offers an excellent atmosphere in one of the city's best streets. The cozy and inviting space makes it a perfect spot for conversations, especially on weekdays when it's less crowded. There's also a pool table, adding to the fun experience with friends while enjoying great food and drinks. My friend and I decided to share two different burgers, and both were absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and the crispy onions and fries on the side were a great addition. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience! 😃🥂

4 Star Rating 4.4/5 Fun downstairs bar with good energy and great food! I’d go back for sure. 1) food - I had to try a few things - got the black garlic burger fantastic all around), and the schnitzel sandwich (good but might try something else next time). Greek salad was village style (no lettuce), and the hand cut fries and close to shoestring but very flavourful. Consider it gastropub style. 2) atmosphere & service -fun, kind of a homey-vibe with older furniture and fireplaces and pool tables. Everyone seemed to be having a good time everywhere. There were work people, couples on dates, friends from the local game. Service was the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star and (4.5 overall). Staff were nice, but not that charming (kind of throwing the dirty dishes around loudly). I think this can improve. But overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it for food and beer selections. I like the owners passion.

4 Star Rating Had good food and drinks, never disappoints on food and variety. Had lamb burger and fish and chips both were good and the portions were good for two. The service is good and the atmosphere is amazing. Cool place to hang around with friends

4 Star Rating An impressive beer selection and I was delighted to find a best bitter and a dark mild which were unexpected treats! Had the shepards pie, which might be the best I've ever had but it could have been a touch smaller and served with some veg. The vibe is a little bit strange I was expecting a tap room / bar but it feels much more like a restaurant and with low ceilings it is pretty noisy. I still had a very enjoyable couple of hours sat at the bar.

5 Star Rating If you are looking for a bar with a wide variety of beers, wines, whiskeys and cocktails, this is definitely the place to go. The bar’s layout is incredible, with its entrance reminiscent of old English theaters and cinemas. The lounge has pool tables and board games. The bar area is pleasant and the baristas are great. They have a great menu, which goes well with many drink options. Unfortunately, the place is not accessible for disabled people (entry and exit with manual doors, use of stairs to enter and exit, and toilets without adaptations). It is located at several bus stops and close to the St Lawrence Market. It is well worth a visit.
