I came here yesterday while visiting Toronto with family. I have been looking for squash blossoms for over a year. When I finally found them at a different restaurant in California, they were poorly prepared but Terroni prepared them perfectly. Nice light crispy batter. My favorite was this grilled calamari salad. Nice and light and you could really taste the seafood. The outdoor patio was the perfect day to be at. Beautiful weather, nice and quiet but the most important thing about this restaurant was the service. The hostess was gracious and inviting and my waitress, Carmen was quite possibly the best waitress I’ve ever had. Making suggestions and since I was dining alone, she made me very comfortable and seemed to know my likings right away. I like it when the waitress checks back with you so you’re not waiting and she did just that-Efficient and I felt like a queen. Thank you, Carmen for making the whole restaurant experience and dining alone, such a perfect & wonderful day with a perfect wonderful meal.!

Wonderful staff. Front hosts/reception is very welcoming and servers are kind and patient. Overall, the food is a good go to for simple and reliable Italian food. The fried calamari was the highlight of the dinner. Lightly crispy, not chewy and fresh. The atmosphere is superb especially the back patio on a sunny day.

Our daughter invited us to Terroni restaurant for Mother's Day. The pasta, gnocchi, and pizza were all deliciously prepared. The highlight, though, was the dessert—specially made for the occasion. However, what was absolutely perfect to my taste, including the temperature, was the cappuccino. We love this restaurant. Please visit—it won’t disappoint

This place is so amazing with authentic Italian food. The lemon pasta was unique will full lemon aroma. The tiramisu was also one of the best I had. If you want to try real food this is a must go place!

We recently dined at Terroni and have very mixed feelings about the experience. Let me start by saying this: the food was phenomenal. My wife is from Italy, and even she was blown away — which is saying a lot. Everything we ordered, from the Carpaccio di Manzo to the Spaghetti al Limone and Caprese di Bufala, was bursting with fresh, authentic flavour. The ingredients were top-notch, and the execution was flawless. Easily a 10/10 on the culinary front.
Now, the not-so-great part: the seating arrangement was extremely tight. We were just a couple out for dinner, but the tables were packed so closely together that I literally had to turn sideways and apologize to other guests just to get into my seat. There was absolutely no sense of privacy or intimacy — we could hear every breath and word from the couples next to us, and they could probably hear ours. It felt more like communal dining than a romantic evening out.
To make matters worse, the temperature inside the restaurant was uncomfortably hot and humid. Within 10 minutes, I was ready to leave, and probably would have if not for my wife convincing me to stay.
One other thing that caught my attention — while the restaurant proudly emphasizes its authentic Italian identity, I couldn't help but notice that everyone I saw working in the kitchen appeared to be South Asian. This isn’t a complaint, but more of a curiosity given the branding; the food clearly speaks for itself, regardless of who's behind the scenes.
In short: come here for the food, without hesitation. But don’t come expecting a cozy, private, or relaxing dining environment — especially if you're hoping for a quiet dinner for two.
Would we return? For takeout or a quieter location, absolutely.

I had a fantastic experience at Jump Restaurant for their Valentine’s Day menu. The food was incredible—every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive, perfectly balanced and refreshing.
The service was quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great night with amazing food and drinks, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely restaurant. Came here with my colleagues and enjoyed the Winterlicious menu. Ambience and service was great too. However, if you are not a sweet tooth, don’t ask for the Chocolate pudding. that stuff was toooo sweet, i took 1* away for that. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by our server, who was unwelcoming. Additionally, the dessert was underwhelming, and the soup was quite basic. While there were some positives, the service and food quality left much to be desired.

Excellent service, the waitress was attentive, helpful and overall friendly and pleasant. Nice and trendy ambiance, and food was delicious. The apps were especially tasty including the fried chicken, spring rolls, calamari.

First time at Jump and we had a lovely time. The service was excellent! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed cocktails to start along with the Heritage Beet Salad which was so flavorful! We ordered scallops and lamb. Both were delicious in their own right. We moved over to the bar area to end our night with a few more drinks. Highly recommend Jump!

I had the pleasure of visiting a restaurant that truly deserves its Michelin star, and I must say that my expectations were not only met but exceeded! From the moment I walked in, I felt special – the elegant decor and cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting for a feast for the senses.
The service was top-notch; every staff member radiated professionalism and a smile, making me feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. The speed of serving the dishes was impressive, yet I could sense that each meal was prepared with the utmost care.
Now, about the food... The flavors were absolutely exquisite. Each dish was a true work of art that not only delighted the eyes but also exploded with taste. I felt honored to be able to try these culinary masterpieces.
Cleanliness and attention to detail also deserve recognition. In such a place, every element is well thought out, which only confirms that the restaurant indeed meets the highest standards.
In summary, my visit to this restaurant was an unforgettable culinary experience. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional flavors and professional service. This is a place that will remain in my memory for a long time!

The food is good, but not mind-blowing. Especially considering the price point, I had much higher expectations.
We had the scallop and salmon dishes for appetizers, which were both quite decent. For entrées, the duck breast was on the tougher side, but the presentation and flavours were top notch. The halibut dish also left more to desire with boring peas.
Overall, it felt like the food has a lot more room to improve in terms of flavours and execution. Despite the amazing views, don't think I'd go there again.

Simply amazing!!! Everything was a top tier!
Parking was easy to find and it was right underground, so we didn’t even have to step outside in a cold weather. Beautiful design and very cozy atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. The view is breathtaking to say the least. Tasting menu was absolutely delicious with a spectacular presentation. Highly recommend this restaurant! 10/10
It’s not just a dinner, it’s an unforgettable experience!

Amazing tasting menu, every dish was unique and the flavours were surprising yet familiar in the best way possible. Excellent attention to detail from the staff - everything was served at the perfect time and at the perfect temperature. I have a big appetite and left full. One of the few high end spots that I think is 100% worth the price! Ask the staff for free parking voucher.

The food, service and view of the city from the 54th floor at Canoe were top notch :)
Appetizers & Cocktail:
The Scallop en Croûte was awesome. The scallop was perfectly cooked and the creamy sauce was savoury and delicious.
The Onion Soup was light and flavourful. It was an interesting but good version of an onion soup.
The Roots Revival Salad was okay. Would have been nice if they had candied / caramelized nuts or dried fruit to give the salad texture.
The Risky Business Cocktail was smooth and refreshing. Would definitely recommend.
Main Dishes:
The Low + Slow Short Rib was soft, tender and savoury.
The Lamb Rack was awesome. The lamb was perfectly cooked with no lamb gaminess. It was delicious.
Desserts:
The Blackberry Meringue was awesome. A great combo of blackberries, sponge cake and meringue. Would definitely recommend.
The Black Forest Gateau was good. This dessert is like a fancied up Klondike ice cream sandwich.

What a charming restaurant. Great ambiance when you enter. Wonderful upscale touches throughout. Great menu. Highly recommend the fondue for an appetizer. We also got the poutine...they have a little different twist on it . So so good! Our food was good. The steak was covered in a sauce which we were are not quite accustomed to and in our opinion the meat could have used a little more seasoning. The fish tacos were marvelous. The slaw on the fish taco is the best I have tasted. It added great flavor and texture to the taco. The fish in the taco was well seasoned and succulent. They have the best coffee and some really nice desserts. We enjoyed this establishment.

Everything we tried was so good but the sticky toffee pudding was certainly the star here. Had a great chat with one of the servers to learn more about how things had changed in the area since Covid.

This review is just based on a visit for drinks and didn’t get to try out their food. Had a pretty good experience here and thought our server was very friendly and attentive.
They had a pretty good selection of beer. I’d recommend getting the flight so that you can try a few different kinds.
I also like these devices that they have mounted on some of the tables that you can even charge your phone on while you’re there.

Had an amazing time here! I ordered the Red Thai Curry Mussels—huge portion and super flavorful. Tons of beer options to choose from, perfect for chilling on the patio. Big shoutout to our server Erin—she was super friendly and took the time to walk us through the daily specials. Will definitely be back!

The food and drinks were fantastic. I had the duck confit pasta paired with a pint of Munich Gold, while my wife enjoyed the fish tacos along with a glass of Côtes de Ventoux rosé. Both dishes had beautifully balanced flavor; neither too rich nor overly fatty, as these dishes can sometimes be. The beer was crisp and refreshing, especially after walking around downtown for a few hours on a warm summer day. The rosé a medium bodied wine with vibrant fruit-forward flavors and a dry finish. This dryness provided a lovely contrast to our richer dishes, making for a delightful pairing.

Amazing place. Staff could be a bit more courteous but not reducing a star for that. The selection of drinks are super amazing and the food tastes extremely good for being pub food. Will surely visit again and put more photos. Don't mistake this cool place for your regular brash Irish pubs. It is much much more cooler and high end.

Stopped in here for a quick bite (9:30pm), they were busy but overall seated quickly. The server took our order and brought our food within a reasonable time. Food and drinks were ok overall not bad place to stop in for a pint or a quick bite but unsure of their menu choice as they had I believe butter chicken as one of their specials? I could be wrong as it was a few weeks back since I ate there but I know it wasn’t really along that “typical” pub menu which isn’t bad just not expected..overall not bad at all.

They’re kind of expected to have great Guinness and they didn’t disappoint - smooth and crisp.
We had the fish and chips and the crocodile bites. Gotta day, the fish was great but the crocodile bites were amazing! Never thought of trying it before, but I’m glad I did. The crocodile is a lunch special, so you may not see it all the time but it’s definitely worth trying if you do.
Staff was friendly and attentive, but not to a point of being annoying - just enough check in for fresh drinks.
The dining area was clean and the TVs didn’t have their volume cranked which is a nice change. Just enough class for a business lunch without feeling stuffy.

Very good traditional Irish pub faire and a fun atmosphere! The drinks are priced reasonably and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Worth the trip! Plan on spending some time to unwind and enjoy a good conversation, food and drinks with friends!

The food is always amazing here, every time I'm in Toronto I need to visit! Atmosphere is more like a sports bar though as it's very loud and filled with people drinking after work. Myself and my husband couldn't hear each other talking so I wouldn't recommend it for an intimate dinner but the food is always worth putting up with the atmosphere. I've had many different dishes here but the fish and chips are incredible!

We had a fantastic time at this lounge—it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great evening. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance stood out: stylish, modern, and effortlessly relaxing. The lighting, music, and overall vibe created a laid-back yet upscale atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. There’s was cover fee $10p/p at the front which goes to the band, definitely worth it.
The service was top-notch. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. A special Thank you to the front desk staff who helped us get the best seats❤️
They made great recommendations and ensured our experience was smooth from start to finish.
The drink menu was impressive, with a wide variety of wines, and premium spirits as well as non alcoholic drinks. 🍹🍷🍻
We especially enjoyed the oysters 🦪 which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. There was also plenty of delicious small plates and bites that paired beautifully with our drinks.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Great service, amazing food, and a lovely setting—what more could you ask for? 💎

If you’re looking for a truly romantic and unique night out, you should definitely visit this restaurant — especially when they have live music.
The band was absolutely amazing and added so much charm to the atmosphere. Prices were reasonable too. It was quite busy, so the servers couldn’t always keep up, but honestly, the positive vibe and beautiful ambiance made up for it completely.
Highly recommend this place for a special evening out.

Honestly the place is really nice. The server amazing. The show very nice. The food I would not recommend in my opinion if your looking for a good vibe and drink with a nice live show I highly recommended it. But food wise I recommend going somewhere else. There is also a $10 entry fee.

If you’re looking for a great date night spot with live jazz music, the reservoir lounge is one to check out. The atmosphere is very intimate & the live band when we visited was so good! The food as well is great as they can all be shared & they have a good selection of drinks. I’d recommend reserving a table in advance as this place does fill up fast, & there is a cash only cover charge of $10 per person. They do have an atm if you don’t have cash on you & a coat check! The gentlemen at the door was kind enough to let me leave my umbrella in the coat check so I don’t have to worry about it at my seat.

Awesome spot to have a few drinks and enjoy live music. The drinks were great; strong and flavorful. Seating is very limited so beware. We had to stand for a few hours, but the great live music made it worthwhile. There was a $15 cover per person (cash cover), but I think it was worth it. Nice intimate ambience. Bartenders were friendly. I would highly recommend this spot for a date night or after dinner activity. Definitely get there when they open or you'll be standing the whole night.

Biff’s Bistro is a fantastic spot for a casual and wonderful dining experience. I visited during Summerlicious with a friend and was impressed by their new location, especially since I hadn’t been there for many years. We sampled the mussels and burrata appetizer, enjoyed the steak main course, and finished with desserts from the Summerlicious menu—all were delicious. The food lived up to my memories, and the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the great atmosphere. Summerlicious offered excellent value, making it the perfect time to revisit this favorite bistro.
Go there. Eat there. LOVE IT THERE!

We came here to try the Summerlicious menu—I went with the beef steak for my main, and we shared the appetizers and desserts.
The steak was honestly spot on. A lot of places tend to overcook medium rare, but this one was done perfectly—exactly how I like it. If I had to nitpick, I do wish the outside had a bit more of that crusty, charred finish for extra texture and flavour, but still, really well done.
Desserts were solid too. The standout for me was the chocolate cake—it had this smooth coffee mousse layered inside that made it extra special. Would happily come back just for that.
Would I come back again? For the food portion, quality and price, probably not. :( but overall still a good experience.

A very nice Japanese sushi/sashimi-focused restaurant. ("Nami" means "wave" in Japanese, in case you’re wondering.)
The food is excellent and very authentic. The restaurant is definitely on the expensive side, and it is à la carte only (no prix fixe or true omakase), but it’s worth it for special occasions. The interior décor could use a bit of a facelift, but I still recommend this place if you’re looking to experience real Japanese cuisine.

Overall, the experience was good. I went for Summerlicious and they had a lot of options on their menu. The hamachi carpaccio was disappointing however the main (blue fin
Chirashi) was quite good. Dessert was good too (cheesecake) but I just expected more for the price. Also the cocktails were too expensive for the size.

A top-notch spot for sushi and sashimi lovers—fresh fish, chill vibes, and a lunch menu worth lingering over. It’s on the pricier side though.
One dish you can’t miss: the seafood mixture bento—especially if you’re ready to splurge a little.
Wei H (IG: ohmyfoodiewei) - 4 months ago
I recently visited Nami, and I have to say the sushi was absolutely amazing—authentically prepared and full of fresh, rich flavours. The attention to detail in each dish was spot on, and every bite felt like a true taste of Japan. The atmosphere was also lovely, with a peaceful, traditional setting.
However, I was a bit taken aback by the portion sizes considering the high prices. While the quality of the food definitely made up for a lot, I found myself wishing there was a bit more on the plate for what I was paying. For those looking for a hearty meal, the portions might leave you wanting.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for the incredible sushi, but be prepared for the price and portions not to quite match up.

I recently had dinner at Hot House Restaurant, and the whole experience was genuinely fantastic. We sat outside on the patio, and the ambiance was just right, relaxed, cozy, and perfect for enjoying a nice evening in the city. The outdoor setup had a warm charm, with soft lighting and a great street view that made everything feel inviting and easygoing.
For the food, I had the jambalaya, and the kitchen was super accommodating with my dietary restriction (no shellfish). They adjusted the dish without any hassle, and it still came out flavourful, hearty, and satisfying, you’d never guess it was a modified version. I also ordered a burger and fries, which was a classic, juicy, and fresh.
My fruity cocktail was refreshing and just the right mix of sweet and tart, and I finished the meal with their apple crumble dessert, which was warm, deliciously spiced, and served with a scoop of ice cream that brought it all together.
The staff were attentive, friendly, and really made sure everything was just right. Between the great service, delicious food, and lovely patio atmosphere, this spot is definitely one I’ll be returning to.
If you’re looking for a place that’s both tasty and has good vibes,
10/10 would recommend :)

If you're looking for a delightful brunch experience in Toronto, look no further than the Hot House restaurant at 35 Church St. I had the pleasure of visiting on a lovely Sunday morning, and it was nothing short of fantastic!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor strikes a perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely brunch with friends.
Now, let's talk about the food! The brunch menu is a true testament to culinary creativity and quality. I indulged in a selection of dishes that were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. My favorites today were the eggs, salmon, Jerk Chicken, and the cheese cake.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure that every guest was well taken care of. It made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, my visit to Hot House was a memorable one. If you're in the area and craving a delicious brunch, I highly recommend stopping by. You won’t be disappointed!

Pretty good food for the price, good service, and window side seating is nice. I had the pickerel from Lake Erie and it was incredibly fresh. Usually a lot of fish dishes are absolutely soaked in sauce so you can barely taste the fish. This was actually the opposite and a nice change of pace, where there was minimal seasoning, and the flavour came mostly from the olives and roasted cherry tomatoes. My only minor feedback is that it would’ve still been nice to pair it with a light sauce.

Attended a birthday brunch celebration with a group of 12. On Sundays the restaurant offers a Sunday all you can eat brunch buffet. The restaurant buffet offers meat and vegetarian options to choose from not to mention the choice of dessert, and alcohol is available at the bar. The restaurant is spacious, staff were very friendly. There is also an outdoor patio available with live music. Since it was BUFFET, wished if we were given the option to opt out of gratuity, to give a regular % tip since it was a large group. Paid for 3 out of 12 guest; total bill =$165.

I lunched alone on the patio, which is a really nice space. My server was friendly. I ordered the halloumi sandwich with sweet potato fries. Main issue with my experience is that it took nearly an hour, fifty minutes, to get my lunch, which caused me to miss attending a panel at the conference I was at. The sandwich was good, but not worth that kind of wait. The server and I assume the manager apologized for the wait, but didn’t offer a discount or anything. I’d likely not visit again when in town.

The highlight for me is the poutine, it’s the best I’ve had in Toronto, especially the pulled pork one. Definitely worth a try! It’s usually busy, but in a good way, with a fun vibe. They also have a nice selection of table games and pool, which adds to the overall experience.
The service is generally good, efficient and attentive. However, some of the waitstaff can come across as quite serious and don’t smile much, which can slightly affect the vibe at times. Still, it doesn’t take away too much from the overall experience.

4.4/5 Fun downstairs bar with good energy and great food! I’d go back for sure.
1) food - I had to try a few things - got the black garlic burger fantastic all around), and the schnitzel sandwich (good but might try something else next time). Greek salad was village style (no lettuce), and the hand cut fries and close to shoestring but very flavourful. Consider it gastropub style.
2) atmosphere & service -fun, kind of a homey-vibe with older furniture and fireplaces and pool tables. Everyone seemed to be having a good time everywhere. There were work people, couples on dates, friends from the local game. Service was the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star and (4.5 overall). Staff were nice, but not that charming (kind of throwing the dirty dishes around loudly). I think this can improve. But overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it for food and beer selections. I like the owners passion.

This restaurant and bar in downtown Toronto offers an excellent atmosphere in one of the city's best streets. The cozy and inviting space makes it a perfect spot for conversations, especially on weekdays when it's less crowded. There's also a pool table, adding to the fun experience with friends while enjoying great food and drinks. My friend and I decided to share two different burgers, and both were absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and the crispy onions and fries on the side were a great addition. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience! 😃🥂

Had good food and drinks, never disappoints on food and variety. Had lamb burger and fish and chips both were good and the portions were good for two. The service is good and the atmosphere is amazing. Cool place to hang around with friends

An impressive beer selection and I was delighted to find a best bitter and a dark mild which were unexpected treats!
Had the shepards pie, which might be the best I've ever had but it could have been a touch smaller and served with some veg.
The vibe is a little bit strange I was expecting a tap room / bar but it feels much more like a restaurant and with low ceilings it is pretty noisy. I still had a very enjoyable couple of hours sat at the bar.
