We went to Terroni for a work lunch and wow was the food ever amazing. I will say they have few vegan options, but plenty vegetarian options. I had the butternut squash ravioli which was divine. Often I find Italian restaurants are stingy when it comes to ravioli, but Terroni was quite generous. I loved the bread they brought out at the beginning. Our server was very helpful and kind. The food came out at breakneck speed. I was genuinely shocked. Dessert was also scrumptious. Highly recommend the chocolate torta, though it is a bit pricey for the size.
As far as accessibility, there are stairs to get up to the entrances, many people waiting indoors, far distances to walk to tables, and tables were quite close together.

I had just come back from Italy, and this restaurant fed the piece of me that wants to go back. Everything was flavourful and authentic. The building is so grand and interesting, I don’t think I fully experienced it even with a trip to the bathroom. You have to order the caprese di bufula to start.
Debbie Hernandez - a week ago
An amazing setting for a very authentic dining experience. We ate as a group in what appeared to be a great hall or ballroom upstairs. There were 4 fireplaces and balconies overhanging our tables. Dark but fascinating decor throughout the building. The menu made everything sound very appealing. We had the lemon calamari, fungi salad, papparadelle and tagliatelle bolognese. The calamari was unremarkable and not distinguishable from pub fare. The funghi assolute, though, was very interesting, with a crisp, meaty feeling balanced by the arugula and balsamic. The papparadelle alla iosa was also very authentic, with a lovely, toothy mouth feel to the perfectly al dente noodles and a homemade, Nonna flavour to the sausage and sauce. The menu describes it as "spicy sauasge" but there was minimal, if any, heat to it. Still quite tasty.
Definitely an interesting and authentic Italian option in downtown.

Completely mediocre food without any real Italian flavours. It wouldn't be so bad if the food wasn't as expensive as it was, but you're paying a premium for very basic ingredients and cooking.
A lot of the flavours across multiple dishes tasted the same, especially the salads. Same sauce/dressing, slightly different vegetables. Zero creativity and technique.
Only reason I'm not giving it a single star is because of the nice service and ambience. For your money's worth, there's a lot of other better Italian places.

If you haven't experienced Terroni yet, make a reservation soon! The grilled calamari is absolutely delicious and a must-try. Their seafood pasta is impressive, as you can see in the picture. And if you're in the mood for something simple, definitely go for their bolognese pasta.
If you venture downstairs to the washrooms, be sure to check out the old holding cells in the basement that have been transformed into wine cellars. It's fascinating to see how this place used to be an old courthouse back in the day!

Jump is one of my favourite Oliver & Bonacini restaurants and have been here countless of times. Every time I need to impress friends and families, this is the place to be.
Tried to come here again for their Summerlicious and everything is spot on - from the delicious food, attentive server, and modern and stylish restaurant decor.
The restaurant is beautiful, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.
Every dish here looks like a work of art, with its vibrant colours and artful arrangement.
The roast beef sandwich was deliciously juicy and tender. My friends raved about this sandwich and enjoyed it so much. The roasted Atlantic salmon with couscous was flakey and moist.
The coconut panna cotta is probably one of the best panna cotta we've ever tried. Everything is perfect with this dessert - soft velvety texture, creamy but not overly rich and just a hint of sweetness.
It can be a little bit busy during lunch hour and noise levels are often higher. But it's not physically painfully loud that you can't hear your dining companions.
We had a wonderful dining experience and would definitely return.

I had a fantastic experience at Jump Restaurant for their Valentine’s Day menu. The food was incredible—every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive, perfectly balanced and refreshing.
The service was quick, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great night with amazing food and drinks, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a gorgeous hidden spot in the heart of downtown! My wife brought me here to celebrate a key milestone in our lives and this place was just perfect.
Firstly, the staff is extremely courteous and accommodate for varied requests. Starting with table selection, since we were there with our baby boy in a stroller and we requested for patio in our reservation, they took us out to the patio and asked us to choose which table would be most comfortable. We chose the perfect spot with great views and a light breeze. I had to change my baby’s diaper, so when I requested for the baby changing room, he immediately eacorted me to the accessible washroom and brought in a table to ensure I had everything with me to change the diaper. This shows how much they care about the comfort of the customers. Our server would keep checking in on us and would be quick with all our orders and requests.
Secondly, the vibe and the ambience were so comforting that we lost the track of time. I highly recommend the patio, even though while you are arriving, you may think it will be noisy since it is close to Yonge Street but their patio design keeps the area quite silent.
Finally, the food was excellent overall with some opportunities for improvement in their desserts - selection and their sweetness.
Overall, absolutely loved it here and will be back for sure. Thank you team Jump! Keep up your amazing hospitality!

Lovely restaurant. Came here with my colleagues and enjoyed the Winterlicious menu. Ambience and service was great too. However, if you are not a sweet tooth, don’t ask for the Chocolate pudding. that stuff was toooo sweet, i took 1* away for that. Otherwise, I definitely recommend.

The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by our server, who was unwelcoming. Additionally, the dessert was underwhelming, and the soup was quite basic. While there were some positives, the service and food quality left much to be desired.

The ambience is great. Restaurants blessed with a great view often have a reputation of the food not measuring up to the view. That is decidedly not the case here. We opted for the chefs tasting menu. Everything was taste great and was presented with imagination. It was a substantial amount of food. Kevin, our server was excellent. He was both personable and professional. Would definitely go back again.

As the other reviws say, the food is completely average and over-priced but the view and service is next level. Overall,4/5 but the food definitely 3/5, so average.
I wentthrough the "summerlicious" menu and had 3 options of choice:
1)appetizer, I chose the the veal tatin and it was the worst out of 3. So bad, so small, nothing fine about that. 2/5
2)main course: Striploin beef. 3/5. The beef was really pro and wow, carrot was almost raw and bland. Mashed potato below average but there was a sauce which was a real Michelin sauce, so good, so rich but so little and most of that was absorbed by mash potato. They could serve it on table.
3) lime tarte. 5/5. Flawless, takes u to Paris. Wow.
Service:My server was the most polite person in Toronto and made my night. Remarkable polite and attentive.
Overall 4/5 but food is not worth the price, the view and experience, yes once a while.

This was my fourth visit. It's one of my favorite restaurants, with a great view, a clean and stylish interior, and a very pleasant atmosphere.
I used to really enjoy their tasting menu, but this time it didn’t leave the same impression. The plating and presentation are still beautiful, but the flavors felt less inspiring. Perhaps the slightly high price also influenced my feeling.
Since being listed as a Michelin‑recommended restaurant in 2022, something seems to have changed, and I felt a little sad about that.

I first went to Canoe for my birthday in February 2022, and went back again in September 2025. Cable's claim to fame is definitely the amazing view of downtown Toronto, the islands, and Lake Ontario beyond, and the view alone makes the trip up to the 54th floor worthwhile.
The highlight of my latest trip to Canoe was definitely the desserts. Although staff were very friendly, it did seemed like they were busy/rushed at times. Experience was different back in 2022, where it seemed like we got more frequent service, but I also question if I just look more fondly back on my previous trip due to nostalgia and it being my birthday celebration.

I had the pleasure of visiting a restaurant that truly deserves its Michelin star, and I must say that my expectations were not only met but exceeded! From the moment I walked in, I felt special – the elegant decor and cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting for a feast for the senses.
The service was top-notch; every staff member radiated professionalism and a smile, making me feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. The speed of serving the dishes was impressive, yet I could sense that each meal was prepared with the utmost care.
Now, about the food... The flavors were absolutely exquisite. Each dish was a true work of art that not only delighted the eyes but also exploded with taste. I felt honored to be able to try these culinary masterpieces.
Cleanliness and attention to detail also deserve recognition. In such a place, every element is well thought out, which only confirms that the restaurant indeed meets the highest standards.
In summary, my visit to this restaurant was an unforgettable culinary experience. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional flavors and professional service. This is a place that will remain in my memory for a long time!

We made a reservation for a group gathering and we were offered the private dining room that fits 15 people. The private room is a perfect fit for corporate/friends/family gatherings with minimum $800 spending requirement. It offers a great private spit where you can enjoy friendly chat and delicious food and drinks.
The service is friendly and reliable and the menu offers great variety of shareable, handhelds and entrées.

I decided to check out Beerbistro after work one evening and had a craving for wings and fries. They did not disappoint. I got the maple whisky wings which were a little messy but absolutely delicious. And the fries! Omg, I did not expect so many but it was so good with their homemade ketchup and the presentation was nice as well! Service at the bar was awesome as well!

The patio was wonderful (even though it rained) the beer was cold and delicious. The parmesean truffles fries are to die for, a MIST TRY!
The wait staff was so friendly even though there were setting up for a party.

What a charming restaurant. Great ambiance when you enter. Wonderful upscale touches throughout. Great menu. Highly recommend the fondue for an appetizer. We also got the poutine...they have a little different twist on it . So so good! Our food was good. The steak was covered in a sauce which we were are not quite accustomed to and in our opinion the meat could have used a little more seasoning. The fish tacos were marvelous. The slaw on the fish taco is the best I have tasted. It added great flavor and texture to the taco. The fish in the taco was well seasoned and succulent. They have the best coffee and some really nice desserts. We enjoyed this establishment.

Decided to drop by beer bistro after my friends graduation. beautiful ambiance, not your average pub vibe. definitely a step up. My lovely bartender Deleni recommended such a great dish, the white mussels. Pure flavour! but definitely a meal for 2, the bowl is HUGE! But like a fellow big back, i finished it with a smile! Deleni paid attention to such great detail and was so friendly, she’s now my favourite bartender in toronto & i will be visiting frequently to see her!

Amazing place. Staff could be a bit more courteous but not reducing a star for that. The selection of drinks are super amazing and the food tastes extremely good for being pub food. Will surely visit again and put more photos. Don't mistake this cool place for your regular brash Irish pubs. It is much much more cooler and high end.

Stopped in here for a quick bite (9:30pm), they were busy but overall seated quickly. The server took our order and brought our food within a reasonable time. Food and drinks were ok overall not bad place to stop in for a pint or a quick bite but unsure of their menu choice as they had I believe butter chicken as one of their specials? I could be wrong as it was a few weeks back since I ate there but I know it wasn’t really along that “typical” pub menu which isn’t bad just not expected..overall not bad at all.
Anthony Dee - 6 years ago
They’re kind of expected to have great Guinness and they didn’t disappoint - smooth and crisp.
We had the fish and chips and the crocodile bites. Gotta day, the fish was great but the crocodile bites were amazing! Never thought of trying it before, but I’m glad I did. The crocodile is a lunch special, so you may not see it all the time but it’s definitely worth trying if you do.
Staff was friendly and attentive, but not to a point of being annoying - just enough check in for fresh drinks.
The dining area was clean and the TVs didn’t have their volume cranked which is a nice change. Just enough class for a business lunch without feeling stuffy.

Very good traditional Irish pub faire and a fun atmosphere! The drinks are priced reasonably and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Worth the trip! Plan on spending some time to unwind and enjoy a good conversation, food and drinks with friends!

The food is always amazing here, every time I'm in Toronto I need to visit! Atmosphere is more like a sports bar though as it's very loud and filled with people drinking after work. Myself and my husband couldn't hear each other talking so I wouldn't recommend it for an intimate dinner but the food is always worth putting up with the atmosphere. I've had many different dishes here but the fish and chips are incredible!

We went to this jazz bar to celebrate a birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was incredible — smooth live jazz, cozy lighting, and the perfect vibe for a special night out. We had a fantastic time at this lounge—it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great evening. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance stood out: stylish, modern, and effortlessly relaxing. The lighting, music, and overall vibe created a laid-back yet upscale atmosphere that made it easy to settle in. There’s was cover fee $10p/p at the front which goes to the band, definitely worth it.
The service was top-notch. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. A special Thank you to the front desk staff who helped us get the best seats❤️
They made great recommendations and ensured our experience was smooth from start to finish.
The drink menu was impressive, with a wide variety of wines, and premium spirits as well as non alcoholic drinks. 🍹🍷🍻
We especially enjoyed the oysters 🦪 which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. There was also plenty of delicious small plates and bites that paired beautifully with our drinks.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Great service, amazing food, and a lovely setting—what more could you ask for? 💎

Cool and unique place. Food is very medium and both selection and quality is on poor side. Service is friendly but slow, probably because the place is too packed. Live music is fantastic and the atmosphere is generally great.

If you’re looking for a truly romantic and unique night out, you should definitely visit this restaurant — especially when they have live music.
The band was absolutely amazing and added so much charm to the atmosphere. Prices were reasonable too. It was quite busy, so the servers couldn’t always keep up, but honestly, the positive vibe and beautiful ambiance made up for it completely.
Highly recommend this place for a special evening out.

If you’re looking for a great date night spot with live jazz music, the reservoir lounge is one to check out. The atmosphere is very intimate & the live band when we visited was so good! The food as well is great as they can all be shared & they have a good selection of drinks. I’d recommend reserving a table in advance as this place does fill up fast, & there is a cash only cover charge of $10 per person. They do have an atm if you don’t have cash on you & a coat check! The gentlemen at the door was kind enough to let me leave my umbrella in the coat check so I don’t have to worry about it at my seat.

Biff’s Bistro is a fantastic spot for a casual and wonderful dining experience. I visited during Summerlicious with a friend and was impressed by their new location, especially since I hadn’t been there for many years. We sampled the mussels and burrata appetizer, enjoyed the steak main course, and finished with desserts from the Summerlicious menu—all were delicious. The food lived up to my memories, and the service was attentive and friendly, adding to the great atmosphere. Summerlicious offered excellent value, making it the perfect time to revisit this favorite bistro.
Go there. Eat there. LOVE IT THERE!

Had a great experience for lunch! The service was fast and the staff kept double checking on us. They have a $40 prix fixe menu. My favourite was the smoked salmon crepe. The patio is small but very beautifully decorated and has shade.
Maria Leonila Barte - 5 months ago
We came here to try the Summerlicious menu—I went with the beef steak for my main, and we shared the appetizers and desserts.
The steak was honestly spot on. A lot of places tend to overcook medium rare, but this one was done perfectly—exactly how I like it. If I had to nitpick, I do wish the outside had a bit more of that crusty, charred finish for extra texture and flavour, but still, really well done.
Desserts were solid too. The standout for me was the chocolate cake—it had this smooth coffee mousse layered inside that made it extra special. Would happily come back just for that.
Would I come back again? For the food portion, quality and price, probably not. :( but overall still a good experience.

Outstanding experience. Went back for the Tasting Menu twice in a week! Authentic, fresh, delicious, well presented dishes. Much of the fish was flown in from Japan. The black cod was so flavorful, fresh and tender. Tomo’s unique yuzu ice cream is not to be missed! The staff are all gracious, welcoming, and friendly. They are also very conscientious about any food allergies. Highly recommended!

Visited Wednesday 5pm or happy hour, that is from 5-7pm. Greeted by friendly and efficient staff who speak Japanese and was considerate at my poor Japanese. Don't worry they speak English too. A very nice set up, quite and well decorated. Evenings are apparently, quite and they have more customers at lunch time that makes sense given their location. I went with the fried chicken and found it was delicious. Decent pieces of chicken and professionally cooked and served. There were a number of beverages available for happy hour including a nice selection of different sake. The green tea was also tasty. The prices were to be expected so the discount during happy hour was appreciated.

Overall, the experience was good. I went for Summerlicious and they had a lot of options on their menu. The hamachi carpaccio was disappointing however the main (blue fin
Chirashi) was quite good. Dessert was good too (cheesecake) but I just expected more for the price. Also the cocktails were too expensive for the size.

A very nice Japanese sushi/sashimi-focused restaurant. ("Nami" means "wave" in Japanese, in case you’re wondering.)
The food is excellent and very authentic. The restaurant is definitely on the expensive side, and it is à la carte only (no prix fixe or true omakase), but it’s worth it for special occasions. The interior décor could use a bit of a facelift, but I still recommend this place if you’re looking to experience real Japanese cuisine.

A Downtown Delight with an Unforgettable Bite ❤️
Hothouse Restaurant is a truly great surprise right in the heart of downtown Toronto. I’ve often walked by, wondering what was inside, and finally checking it out was the best decision.
We visited during the Thanksgiving weekend and were thrilled to find they offered an all-you-can-eat menu, which is such a nice perk to have right in the core of the city. The options were extensive and thoughtful, spanning both the savory and sweet sides of the buffet, leaving us completely satisfied.
The service here is reliably good, but the atmosphere truly shines, especially since we were treated to live music on the Sunday we visited. The drinks also impressed; the Earl Grey mimosas are a must-try—I absolutely loved that unique, fragrant twist on the classic.
However, the reason I will be rushing back is singular: the house bread pudding. There are simply not enough words to describe how rich, comforting, and perfectly delicious that single bite was. It genuinely blew my mind. This dessert is a masterpiece, and I would return for that perfect bite alone, without any doubt.
Hothouse is a vibrant, welcoming spot that offers excellent value and an atmosphere that elevates the dining experience. Go for the live tunes, stay for the mimosas, but whatever you do, save room for the bread pudding.

Came to HotHouse last weekend for dinner to celebrate a homecoming! Although we had requested our favourite server Jesse when booking the reservation, we were left in good hands with Aishwarya. Started with a martini and calamari and had a delicious gnocchi recommended by our server, all accompanied by a great bottle of wine. The halloumi sandwich was also yummy. We wanted to try the tiramisu but we were sooo full; next time!

We celebrated our wedding at HotHouse in August and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the team was. Working with Alena was seamless; she went above and beyond to make sure our reception here was impeccable. From setting up the tables for us, organizing our massive dessert table and responding to any and all questions I had, Alena was an incredible event coordinator. Our guests raved about the food, the service and the atmosphere. The staff paid such attention and care to us and our guests, it truly felt like they were dedicated to making sure we had a wonderful night. I can’t recommend HotHouse enough both for a meal out and to celebrate an event. Thank you so much HotHouse team for making our day one to remember.

The service and ambiance was really good, however, I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole, but it just wasn’t for me. The pasta had a slight play-doh taste that I didn’t love. That being said, everyone else in my group really enjoyed their meals, so it might’ve just been my dish. I’d still consider coming back to try something different on the menu.

Nice pub, lots of screens for sports events, food was great. The beef stew was delicious but only had 3-4 chunks of meat, not sure if that’s normal or just my luck tonight. Like I said it was still delicious. Friends raved the burgers was amazing the some of the best fries! Glad we came in.

Had a really great lunch here and enjoyed watching some sports while we ate — a nice bonus! We tried the bangers and mash, which were absolutely delicious — the onion gravy had excellent flavor and tied the whole dish together. The fish and chips were also very good — perfectly crispy without being greasy. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere was laid-back and comfortable. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

Visited this establishment while staying at the Novotel across the street. Really impressed. We ordered 4 burger sliders, pita chips with dip, alcohol and the chocolate molten lava cake. Food was great, thoroughly enjoyed it. Environment is a great vibe. Would certainly return. Lastly the service was exceptional. Well staffed and available. Everyone I met was great. If on the esplanade check out Scotland Yard

When would be the perfect time to eat greasy pub food? I'll tell you the answer 🤤🍔
...
Always❗
The best squid rings and delicious nachos I will ever taste in my life! I remember devouring that plate like the ancient Roman empire devoured almost all of Europe at the time. 🤤
DIRECTIONS: The parking is bad only because it's downtown! Please take the subway and remember to get off at King or Union, walk a little bit east towards Scott Street and you will head south to the Esplanade.
FOOD: After devouring whatever you ordered; burger sliders, nachos, squid rings, the chicken salad, ect; you will ask too see if there's anything in their trash they threw out. Yeah that's right. It's that good 🤤😋❗
ATMOSPHERE: They have a cute dart game, good quality TVs to watch sports on like any great pub and amazing kind customer service unlike some sad, scary pubs. I couldn't ask for a better night out. ❤️
You will definitely see me back here, and if you, the reader has any questions, please feel free to respond to this. I'm not just a blogger, a really nice guy that's also really hungry now 🤤
Enjoy your Scotland Yard experience!

I had an amazing burger and poutine and 2 ice cold draft beers. I happened to come across this place while out walking and I am glad I found it. A look at their whisky menu and it is well stocked and prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed a nice time on the patio and will come back again. Server Sam was 10/10. Sláinte!
