I had a really great experience at Pizzeria Libretto. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The food here is genuinely delicious. The wood-fired pizza had the perfect balance of a soft, airy crust with just the right amount of crispness. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I also tried one of their mocktails and it was incredible. Refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience. The service was smooth and the staff made us feel comfortable and taken care of without rushing anything. You can tell they put pride into both the food and the atmosphere. Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for great pizza, amazing drinks, and a nice dining experience. I will absolutely be coming back.

Very good and comfy pizza joint on the Danforth. It can work as a family casual pizza outing, or even a pizza date later at night. I've been several times and the pizza has always been excellent. They have a private room downstairs for events and birthdays too.

The pizza was very good! Ordered margherita pizza, prosciutto with arugula, and chicken pesto for 5 people. The portions were good size for 1-2 people. However, service was a little slow and the waiters asked us for parmesan cheese too late.

The fastest pizza service Ive ever thought possible. The pizzas can be cooked extremely fast. And the flavours are explosively awesome. The staff are so kind and you can taste it in the pizzas they make. I would come back with friends and family for sure. They made me one happy and satisfied customer. The eating environment is really relaxing too. I happened to get here before they got busy with lunch customers😆

Stopped in for lunch. Was surprised by a lunch special on the menu which was awesome. Pizza and salad or sandwich and salad. Both great value. The food came out quickly and was tasty. The salad was a generous portion and was full of pear and walnuts. Very tasty. The pizza was a perfect lunch size. Was good. Good price aa well. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Great place to meet a friend and have a catch up lunch. Overall was very pleased with the experience and will go back.

This was my first time having their Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner special and it was so delicious! Tasty turkey slices, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and roasted root veggies that were amazing! Loved the presentation too. Only minor wish was it needed more gravy. We also shared a Caesar salad and enjoyed slices of pumpkin pies and pecan pies for dessert. This was Thanksgiving Sunday and you needed to book a table in advance. I also hadn’t been at this Danforth Ave. location in many years and happy to see it still had a warm vibe. And even though the restaurant was full it wasn’t loud so we could enjoy our family dinner. Big thanks to our server Lisette who was so helpful, fast and friendly. She even helped pack my leftovers to take home! Excellent service!

This is the best restaurant in town for vegans. They have so many plant-based options you will be very happy. And also for non vegetarians. Food is superb and the service is really nice. And it is always full! I love coming here, but make a reservation!

Great food, great service! The calamari was so good, as were the mussels, sauce was scrumptious, especially for dipping! Chicken parm, salmon,gnocchi and fettuccine alfredo were all delicious!

The servers here are lovely they are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. In terms of food we had Calamari to start, which was good. However, we were not pleased with the quality nor taste of our main dishes the parm sandwich and penne capri. Dishes were incredibly bland and sadly my friend ended up with stomach cramps afterwards.

Following up from a great Valentines day dinner. My original reso at another restaurant canceled on me so thankfully Katsu seated us on the 14th with a very busy restaurant. Despite that, we were given immaculate service and the food was amazing. A little louder than usual but was to be expected on such a busy day. Usually the atmosphere is very quiet and tranquil, Valentines was a little louder but still pleasant. All parts of the Valentines day set dinner for two were amazing and we both enjoyed very much! Super thankful we got a walk in on Valentines, and really happy with the quality on everything!

Was craving salmon sashimi, so my girlfriend and I decided to head to Katsu. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were excited to see that they serve salmon during lunch, which was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, the food was delicious. The salmon sashimi hit the spot, and most of the dishes were fresh and flavorful. The only slight disappointment was the butterfish—it seemed to be holding a bit of water and wasn’t as flavorful as it usually is. Aside from that, everything else was great. Friendly service, quick seating, and tasty sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

The QR code and order through your phone system is extremely convenient. The service is top notch and the variety drinks, hard and soft, are a plenty. This sushi restaurant has been here for a long time and it's good to see this place is still serving quality sushi.

The food was delicious, I always try to order the fuyu bento box when I stop by here for either lunch dinner. You will receive a great value of food items. Definitely the spot to by when you're interested sushi. Been going here for years, and everytime I stop by the quality has been maintained exceptionally well! Added addition is a complimentary dessert after your dine in meal 😊 Update June 07 2022 - Went with our family today, food was very good, atmosphere was very nice, with courteous staff. Definitely come again! 😁 Update Oct 28th 2025: Had a bento box here again, food was very good. Had a great experience as always

Honestly hands down my favourite sushi place in the GTA. Been going here for about 10 years now and haven’t been disappointed once in that time span. Sensational food, great ambiance to the place and service is top notch. Treat me like family every time I’m here. Highly recommend!

I usually go to the big Tim hortons with the big drive-through because their service is timed and they have to do things on time but this small convenient Tim Hortons located at Pape joined to the Pape subway is very good , the staff is friendly, they have good team work and they keep the place clean . I’m very excited to say that this is the only walk in time hortons in the GTA that has ever done an amazing job continuously so I’d like to write this review because I’m so happy about this location. It would be good if the owner can add soups And sandwiches that’s my only request 😅

I frequent this Tim Hortons whenever I need a pick me up on my way to work. Kind, smiling, friendly staff that go above and beyond everytime. Efficient and service without even leaving the station. The Definition of a "Treat" Worth the Trip Every Time!! Simone’s is out of the way for me, but it has become a necessary ritual. Getting takeout from here isn't just a meal; it’s a high-fidelity experience of what Caribbean food should be. The flavors are deep, consistent, and authentic. The Standouts: Braised Oxtail: This is the anchor. It’s tender, rich, and has that perfect "fall-off-the-bone" texture. Shrimp Roti: Incredible structural quality and the spice levels are always on point. Jerk Chicken Dinner: You have to get it with the rice and peas. The smoky, peppery heat of the chicken mixed with the creaminess of the rice is the ultimate comfort food. Even though it’s a trek for me to get here, I don’t mind. The mien of the place is so welcoming, and the quality of the food makes the distance irrelevant. If you want real-deal flavors that feel like they were made with actual care, this is the spot

Great local restaurant. The food was good. We waited about 25mins for our food but the plantains and Johnny cakes came out first and were delicious. The oxtails were seasoned but a bit tough. The fish was great. Small indoor dining area. There are stairs for the bathroom downstairs so it is not accessible for wheelchairs.

Just tried Bagel Time on the Danforth and wow, these are legit some of the best bagels I’ve had in Toronto. They’re doing the real Montreal-style thing with the wood oven and you can totally taste it. Got the tuna salad bagel and it was honestly ridiculous in the best way. Big scoop of tuna, not too mayo-heavy, tasted super fresh, and the bagel didn’t fall apart or get soggy. It’s giving actual Montreal competition, no cap. Also snagged a sesame and a poppy seed one to bring home. Both were perfect — seeds toasted just right, still warm when I left. The sesame one especially slapped. Small little spot but they’re clearly putting in the work. If you’re anywhere near Pape/Danforth, go.

Truly the best Montreal Style bagels in Toronto. I've tried 'em all. If you don't like chewy, well, please do go back to your bread-style. The fresh-made lox and cream cheese I had yesterday really hit the spot with generous toppings and options. No sauces for me thanks, this is not a sub sandwich, but the capers really hit the spot. So glad to see them back open after their unfortunate fire. A bit bare at the moment, but hey more furnishings will happen.

We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious. The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba. It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work. We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out. It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

It is typical in Japan to have cold noodles during the summer so I decided on cold noodles too. I had the Zaru soba this time. This is a very simple noodle dish but very tasty and also very healthy. The dish comes with a dipping sauce (mentsuyu). Noodles topped with sliced seaweed (nori) with diced green onions and some wasabi on the side. I would have preferred more green onions especially when it really adds flavour and not an expensive ingredient. One item missing I always look for is shichimi togarashi (red chilli powder mix). Zaru soba is buckwheat noodles and these were done just right. Not too soft. The mentsuyu is shoyu and fish stock based. If you are looking for something uniquely different from ramen, Zaru soba is a great option. Nakayoshi Izakaya is not just a ramen shop but a full Japanese menu restaurant. Great selection suitable for anyone looking for variety of Japanese food.

Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!! This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

Fox & Fiddle Danforth is located close to Pape subway station. Now when you think of a bar or an establishment like this, you probably will think of drinks. Well, I think of their roast beef dip sandwich. I know, it sounds silly right but I got hooked on it during a previous visit. So, when I crave it, I go and have it. The bread is soft, the au jus dip is savory and best of all, the fries are crispy and crunchy. Easy comfort food when I want to gab with the friends. We dont even drink alcohol! Lol. The staff are lovely. Oxana served us during our most recent visit and she was attentive, polite, and pleasant. We sat at the family tables close to the window which was enjoyable and allowed for people watching. Am I coming back? Yep. Next time I'm craving that roast beef sandwich, I'll be back. I'm sure there are other sandwiches out there that will top this one but there is just something comforting about hanging out with a bestie, chatting and enjoying a good sandwich for a weekend brunch.

Got take out from here and it was so fresh. The sushi pizza was one of the prettiest I’ve seen in a while. I would’ve gotten just mayo with it instead of spicy mayo but that was on me. The mango avo roll was my fave, the mango was so sweet!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon in May. It was not too busy during this hour. Enjoyed a chill, quiet bite! Service was standard but the Lime chips won me over! Almost got a second order to take to-go because it was that good. Also - prices are good here as well.

Gabby’s on the Danforth (just east of Pape on the south side) has quickly become one of my go-to bars. What really makes this place stand out is the bartender Mich. She's personable, funny, perfectly sarcastic, and an all-around lovely presence who makes every visit even better. The pub fare is solid, the beer selection is great, and they’ve got just the right amount of TVs to catch a game or enjoy a trivia night. All the bar staff including Mich, Alex, and Mary absolutely rock. I take friends and workmates here whenever I can, and I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Great place to kick back and watch the play offs. Decent menu and good priced beer pitcher. The atmosphere was laid back and they have the bar area and the dining area separated, which is nice. The walls are decorated very well! Good service and fast responses. I would recommend. Though the tables were a little dirty, everything else was satisfactory.
