I had a really great experience at Pizzeria Libretto. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The food here is genuinely delicious. The wood-fired pizza had the perfect balance of a soft, airy crust with just the right amount of crispness. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite.
I also tried one of their mocktails and it was incredible. Refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience.
The service was smooth and the staff made us feel comfortable and taken care of without rushing anything. You can tell they put pride into both the food and the atmosphere.
Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for great pizza, amazing drinks, and a nice dining experience. I will absolutely be coming back.

Very good and comfy pizza joint on the Danforth. It can work as a family casual pizza outing, or even a pizza date later at night. I've been several times and the pizza has always been excellent. They have a private room downstairs for events and birthdays too.

The pizza was very good! Ordered margherita pizza, prosciutto with arugula, and chicken pesto for 5 people. The portions were good size for 1-2 people. However, service was a little slow and the waiters asked us for parmesan cheese too late.

The fastest pizza service Ive ever thought possible. The pizzas can be cooked extremely fast. And the flavours are explosively awesome. The staff are so kind and you can taste it in the pizzas they make. I would come back with friends and family for sure. They made me one happy and satisfied customer. The eating environment is really relaxing too. I happened to get here before they got busy with lunch customers😆

I was really excited to finally visit Pizzeria Libretto since it’s one of the few places serving true Italian-style pizza — and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Margherita with pepperoni and the Prosciutto with arugula, and both were absolutely delicious. A special shout-out to our server who was so friendly, welcoming, and smiling the whole time. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the best restaurant in town for vegans. They have so many plant-based options you will be very happy. And also for non vegetarians. Food is superb and the service is really nice. And it is always full! I love coming here, but make a reservation!

This was my first time having their Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner special and it was so delicious! Tasty turkey slices, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and roasted root veggies that were amazing! Loved the presentation too. Only minor wish was it needed more gravy. We also shared a Caesar salad and enjoyed slices of pumpkin pies and pecan pies for dessert.
This was Thanksgiving Sunday and you needed to book a table in advance. I also hadn’t been at this Danforth Ave. location in many years and happy to see it still had a warm vibe. And even though the restaurant was full it wasn’t loud so we could enjoy our family dinner.
Big thanks to our server Lisette who was so helpful, fast and friendly. She even helped pack my leftovers to take home! Excellent service!

Great food, great service! The calamari was so good, as were the mussels, sauce was scrumptious, especially for dipping! Chicken parm, salmon, gnocchi and fettuccine alfredo were all delicious!

Lively atmosphere, great casual space, amazing and friendly service, prices are what prices are these days. So why just an average rating? Likely comes down to personal food taste preference.
Stopped by for dinner and got:
- Meat Lasagna: Hefty and super cheesy. Would have liked a bit more bite to the sauce.
- Mussels: Good amount for the price. Ok tasting tomato based sauce.
- Fried Calamari: A bit tough and overly fried. Standard side dip.
Based on the crowds when we went, lots of people seem to love this place. If you want a straightforward Italian meal, this is a pretty good spot.

Was craving salmon sashimi, so my girlfriend and I decided to head to Katsu. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were excited to see that they serve salmon during lunch, which was exactly what we were looking for.
Overall, the food was delicious. The salmon sashimi hit the spot, and most of the dishes were fresh and flavorful. The only slight disappointment was the butterfish—it seemed to be holding a bit of water and wasn’t as flavorful as it usually is.
Aside from that, everything else was great. Friendly service, quick seating, and tasty sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

The QR code and order through your phone system is extremely convenient. The service is top notch and the variety drinks, hard and soft, are a plenty.
This sushi restaurant has been here for a long time and it's good to see this place is still serving quality sushi.

Me and my family have been coming here for years. The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious! The sushi is fresh- especially the salmon. The grilled items are cooked just right and smell amazing when they arrive at the table. This place is our go-to for sushi in the area, and we will be eating here for many more years to come.

I usually go to the big Tim hortons with the big drive-through because their service is timed and they have to do things on time but this small convenient Tim Hortons located at Pape joined to the Pape subway is very good , the staff is friendly, they have good team work and they keep the place clean . I’m very excited to say that this is the only walk in time hortons in the GTA that has ever done an amazing job continuously so I’d like to write this review because I’m so happy about this location.
It would be good if the owner can add soups And sandwiches that’s my only request 😅

I always have a great experience at this Tim Hortons on Pape. The staff are warm, polite, and very quick with service. The store is clean and welcoming every time I visit, and my orders are always accurate and freshly made. I truly appreciate the friendly atmosphere and consistency. Thank you to the whole team for your hard work—you make every visit enjoyable!

I'm a regular and the team here is always friendly and works hard to get your order quickly. The menu is limited as it's a small, TTC location. I feel for the team as the atmosphere is not great -- just a small spot and they're supplies (food, cleaning) have to be kept out where everyone can see it. But it's a great grab and go location.

Out of all the Tim Hortons I've been to, this is by far the best location! ALL the staff are friendly, respectful, and kind. The store is very clean too. I go there almost everyday and get consistently great tasting coffee served by warm and welcoming staff. Thank you everyone =)
Update: After several months from my first review, nothing has changed. It's my go to spot for delicious coffee and the staff are wonderful.

Great local restaurant. The food was good. We waited about 25mins for our food but the plantains and Johnny cakes came out first and were delicious. The oxtails were seasoned but a bit tough. The fish was great.
Small indoor dining area. There are stairs for the bathroom downstairs so it is not accessible for wheelchairs.

Simone’s Caribbean Restaurant — Authentic Flavours with a Homestyle Touch
Simone’s Caribbean Restaurant is one of those places that immediately feels like home the moment you walk in. The aroma alone tells you you’re in for something special — the kind of slow-cooked, deeply seasoned food that brings you straight back to the islands.
What I love most about Simone’s is the authenticity. You can taste the care and tradition in every dish — from the jerk chicken with its smoky spice to the perfectly stewed oxtail that falls right off the bone. The rice and peas are always fluffy and flavourful, and the plantains have that perfect golden crisp around the edges.
The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food never feels rushed. It’s true home cooking — the kind that comforts you from the first bite. My only small critique is that the wait times can stretch a bit during busy hours, but honestly, that’s usually the sign of a kitchen doing things right.
If you’re craving real Caribbean food done with love, Simone’s delivers every time. It’s one of Toronto’s hidden gems, and easily earns a solid 4 stars from me.

On Boxing Day, this Bagel Time was the only bagel shop open within a half hour walk of the downtown core. We bundled up and made the trek over to the Danforth, our mouths watering with anticipation. Unfortunately the bagels did not live up to our expectations. The “everything” in the bagels we ordered seemed to consist of sesame and poppy seeds only, and the texture was too chewy. Most importantly, the taste was just OK, and they lacked salt. I’ve had fresh bagels from restaurants with similar menus and wood oven, that have exploded in my mouth with fresh-baked flavour. None of that here.

Best bagels! They make the bagels at a wood oven! Its so tasty and fresh! I am Kettlemans lover from Ottawa but after trying this place I think I have a new favourite Montreal style bagels place!
I only tried the sesame bagels, it was great and warm just got out of the oven. They have other types chocolate onion blueberry chia seeds and gluten free options too.
Also tried their cream cheese fluffy and fresh! Absolutely recommend that place! Staff was nice too!

It is typical in Japan to have cold noodles during the summer so I decided on cold noodles too.
I had the Zaru soba this time.
This is a very simple noodle dish but very tasty and also very healthy.
The dish comes with a dipping sauce (mentsuyu).
Noodles topped with sliced seaweed (nori) with diced green onions and some wasabi on the side.
I would have preferred more green onions especially when it really adds flavour and not an expensive ingredient.
One item missing I always look for is shichimi togarashi (red chilli powder mix).
Zaru soba is buckwheat noodles and these were done just right. Not too soft.
The mentsuyu is shoyu and fish stock based.
If you are looking for something uniquely different from ramen, Zaru soba is a great option.
Nakayoshi Izakaya is not just a ramen shop but a full Japanese menu restaurant. Great selection suitable for anyone looking for variety of Japanese food.

Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!!
This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!
brandon manning - 10 months ago
We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious.
The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba.
It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work.
We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out.
It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.
Briar Rose Piquero - a year ago
Considering what we paid it was an underwhelming experience. The food was good but it felt heavily overpriced considering what we got (see photo). We paid $90 for a modest amount of sushi. Not more than a week ago we got well over double the equally tasty sushi for only $50 more from another local Japanese restaurant.
They obviously don't specialize in the type of sushi that our family is looking for (we almost exclusively eat maki, sashimi and related raw fish rolls and aren't looking for other Japanese dishes, especially any non fish meat dishes) so I can't fault them for that. I do wish for them to succeed because they are a local business but the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening at 6.30 pm. That doesn't bode well for their longevity. Perhaps it's time to reevaluate the menu slightly to cater to what our unrefined Canadian palate is looking for in a sushi dish, lots of fish--maki, sashimi, etc.
Eric Dunbar - 7 months ago
Wow I had such delicious and satisfying meal ☺️ I ordered the Karaage Ramen (karaage was put on the side, which I prefer) and it was so yummy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! And the service was excellent 👌 ahh overall I'd recommend visiting this quiet, kawaii, and cozy little spot on Danforth!! You won't regret it ❤️❤️

Excellent value! My favourite sushi joint in the neighbourhood. The salmon is always fresh and smooooth as butter - it’s my comfort meal after a long day! Perfectly seasoned rice and a great filling to rice ratio. The tempura udon is awesome, with massive portions.

The food was fantastic. The service on point! They really care about the presentation of the food, it was immaculate!! Take out was busy, but you could tell they where happy to have people in the restaurant. Absolutely the best Sushi 🍣 in a long time. Generous proportions. Very competitive pricing. Even the menu was fantastically designed, new, clean, and a great feel.
Bravo, Bravo!!

This is my go-to, favourite place for sushi in the city. The service, quality and environment are consistently wonderful. I find myself coming here at the end of a long day. As soon as I arrive I feel a sense of calm and I always leave satisfied. Dining for one, I love the variety of bento boxes and plates because I get a multi course meal at a reasonable price. But it’s also fun to bring friends here, to order a sushi for two or order off the menu. Ive dined in many other sushi restaurants at a higher price point and have been totally spoiled by Aji Sai because the fish is fresher, the flavours delightful. They even have the perfect portion of green tea ice cream to top off the meal, for less than $3. I’ve also ordered delivery from Aji Sai countless times and it’s always arrived beautifully and no compromise to the quality. Honestly I’m so enthusiastic about this restaurant, I want you to go here and try it for yourself. 😀

Been coming here for two years now. Fun place serving excellent food! Try the wings or the pizzas... delish!
Decent brews, this place has a great vibe with excellent music always playing and enough TVs to watch your fave teams.
But what sets Gabby's apart from every other place is the ABSOLUTE BEST STAFF on The Danforth. Micheline Alex Mary Stef and Nikki take excellent care of everyone and make them feel so welcomed you can't help coming back again and again.

Gabby’s on the Danforth (just east of Pape on the south side) has quickly become one of my go-to bars. What really makes this place stand out is the bartender Mich. She's personable, funny, perfectly sarcastic, and an all-around lovely presence who makes every visit even better.
The pub fare is solid, the beer selection is great, and they’ve got just the right amount of TVs to catch a game or enjoy a trivia night.
All the bar staff including Mich, Alex, and Mary absolutely rock. I take friends and workmates here whenever I can, and I highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon in May. It was not too busy during this hour. Enjoyed a chill, quiet bite!
Service was standard but the Lime chips won me over! Almost got a second order to take to-go because it was that good.
Also - prices are good here as well.

Great place. Friendly staff and owners. Waitresses/bartenders are great, they're always checking up on you to see if you need anything else and are very social, which is hard to find nowadays. Location is great as it's right along the Danforth strip which means that it isn't a dead spot, it actually picks up quite a bit on Friday/Saturday nights. The patio is small but nice. Great place to spend a night out for drinks with friends or a date!

Cocktail lounge vibe. Nice enough staff, security was polite and non aggressive, that was appreciated. Would give a higher rating but there was the commencement of a private party in the back, that may have distracted from the overall ambiance as those entering the party were very loud and raucous. That's probably me being a little judgemental, it was prime holiday party season. Cocktail I had, don't remember the name now was tasty and seemed to be crafted with care.
