We ended up staying longer than planned at Withrow Park and, with so many great restaurants along the Danforth, decided to revisit Pizzeria Libretto Danforth. We hadn’t been back since before the pandemic, so we thought it was time to give it another try. We arrived right at 5 p.m. without a reservation and were happy to take one of the high-top tables, so we were seated immediately. For the four of us, our bill came to $195 (including a 20% tip). We ordered an Aperol Spritz, Negroni, iced tea, a Margherita pizza with prosciutto and arugula, the Spicy Diavola, tiramisu, and plain pasta for the kids. The pizzas came out hot and fresh, and you could really taste the wood-fired oven in the crust. It had that crisp exterior and wonderful aroma that makes wood-fired pizza so enjoyable. The flavours were well balanced and not overly salty. My only criticism was that the toppings, particularly on the Margherita with prosciutto and arugula, became a little soggy. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it took away from the overall texture. Between the two pizzas, I’d probably skip the prosciutto one next time and instead try the Braised Beef Rigatoni or the ‘Nduja pizza. The Aperol Spritz and Negroni were both well made and definitely worth ordering. Dessert was a nice way to end the meal, with the tiramisu being light and enjoyable. If you’re a fan of traditional tiramisu, you’ll appreciate this one. It tasted authentic and wasn’t overly sweet. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Nothing particularly stood out, but everything moved along smoothly and we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, although the décor is starting to feel a little dated. One thing to keep in mind if you’re seated at one of the high-top tables near the entrance: you’ll have a steady stream of delivery drivers coming in and out to pick up orders. Since the pickup area is right beside those tables, drivers were placing their delivery bags on the tables and even on the floor beside us while waiting. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it did take away from the dining experience. If given the choice next time, I’d probably wait a few extra minutes for a regular table. My biggest hesitation is the value. While we enjoyed our meal, I left feeling that it was probably about $50 overpriced for what we received. Would I come back? Yes, but with so many fantastic restaurants on the Danforth, it wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice. That said, if you’re craving wood-fired pizza and want to decide for yourself, it’s still worth trying.

If you’re a fan of Neapolitan pizza, check out Pizzeria Libretto on Danforth! The atmosphere inside is modern, with a casual-industrial feel; plenty of seating inside and some outdoor seating as well. Service was great and they were fairly busy, but we received our food fairly quickly. We ordered a prosciutto Neapolitan style pizza, and a braised-beef rigatoni: The pizza was great, a little heavy on the arugula but overall solid bite with plenty of toppings and a more puffy crust (Neapolitan). 4/5 rating on taste and presentation The rigatoni was noticeably undercooked with a crunchy bite on the pasta, but the braised beef tasted fantastic. 3/5 rating on taste and presentation. I had a really great experience at Pizzeria Libretto. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The food here is genuinely delicious. The wood-fired pizza had the perfect balance of a soft, airy crust with just the right amount of crispness. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I also tried one of their mocktails and it was incredible. Refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience. The service was smooth and the staff made us feel comfortable and taken care of without rushing anything. You can tell they put pride into both the food and the atmosphere. Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for great pizza, amazing drinks, and a nice dining experience. I will absolutely be coming back.

Something has happened to Libretto's pizza dough.. I used to go to Ossington, Danforth and North York location and the dougg was always perfect and Napoli style. Full of air a Right now the dough is just crusty and hard, just like a New York style pizza.. Very disappointing.. This has happened in this location as well as Ossington location. 1st photo is how it used to be like 1-2 yrs ago (since 2015). 2nd photo is how it is now in June 2026.

Busy location so definitely make a reservation for evenings at least. Calamari we felt was salty, but overall enjoyed our dishes. Kept having to ask for drinks or refills. We sat at the front & it was pretty tight seating.

We go to Il Fornello often and always have a great experience. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and there is a variety of vegan options available. They are also very allergy friendly. This location also has a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend!

This was my first time having their Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner special and it was so delicious! Tasty turkey slices, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and roasted root veggies that were amazing! Loved the presentation too. Only minor wish was it needed more gravy. We also shared a Caesar salad and enjoyed slices of pumpkin pies and pecan pies for dessert. This was Thanksgiving Sunday and you needed to book a table in advance. I also hadn’t been at this Danforth Ave. location in many years and happy to see it still had a warm vibe. And even though the restaurant was full it wasn’t loud so we could enjoy our family dinner. Big thanks to our server Lisette who was so helpful, fast and friendly. She even helped pack my leftovers to take home! Excellent service!

I order the arancini all the time, it usually comes with 4 large pieces and marinara sauce. Today I received 3 tiny arancini balls that do not have the same crispy outside as usual, and spicy mayonnaise? Very disappointing

Fresh, Delicious Sushi and a Beautiful Atmosphere! I ordered eel sushi for pickup from Katsu Sushi on the Danforth, and I was genuinely impressed! The sushi was incredibly fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. The eel was perfectly prepared, with that wonderful balance of savoury sweetness that makes every bite so satisfying. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into the food! I was also pleasantly surprised by how clean and beautiful the restaurant itself was. The decor is lovely, and the real plants throughout the space add such a natural, calming touch. They make the restaurant feel warm, peaceful, and inviting. It’s clear that thought and care have gone into creating an atmosphere that feels just as wonderful as the food. Even though I ordered takeout, the restaurant’s beautiful interior definitely caught my attention and made a great impression on me. Between the freshness of the sushi, the cleanliness, and the gorgeous decor, this place truly stands out. I will absolutely be ordering again, and I would love to dine in next time to enjoy the atmosphere in person. If you’re on the Danforth and looking for fresh, delicious sushi in a clean and welcoming environment, I highly recommend Katsu Sushi. Definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!

Thank you so much Katsu Japanese Restaurant for dealing with all of the noise my friends and I make when we are there. I apologize deeply. This is our go-to for sushi. It’s such an amazing location. It’s also such a relaxing place as well so whenever we want to have a calm day this is THE spot. This place has been such a staple in our friendship, some of the best inside jokes have been made here and we’ve had so many deep conversations here. The service here is friendly. It was quiet when we first arrived, but the dining room began filling up between 8PM and 9PM. While the restaurant felt a bit understaffed during that peak rush, it’s completely understandable given the current economic climate. The servers know most of the customers and greet them by name. Great! We went for the AYCE, but the menu selection was quite little. Sashimi wise, there are only salmon, butter fish and tai. We were also offered 10% discount for cash payment. In short, we should support the local restaurant, but is it great compares to other...??? I would say average, nothing stands out - freshness, flavour, presentation, variety wise.

Was craving salmon sashimi, so my girlfriend and I decided to head to Katsu. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were excited to see that they serve salmon during lunch, which was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, the food was delicious. The salmon sashimi hit the spot, and most of the dishes were fresh and flavorful. The only slight disappointment was the butterfish—it seemed to be holding a bit of water and wasn’t as flavorful as it usually is. Aside from that, everything else was great. Friendly service, quick seating, and tasty sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff here make my day. Always happy to serve. They work the lines quickly. Can't believe the volume that this small team can get through in a day! I hope they are paid well. 😁 I dont typically like going to Tim Hortons in Toronto, but this is one of the good ones. This location doesn't need a voice recording saying pleasure to serve you. The staff demonstrate that much better than an annoying audio recording.

I had a great experience at this Tim Hortons location on Pape! The staff were friendly and efficient, even during a busy time, and my order was prepared quickly and exactly how I wanted it. The coffee was fresh, and the food was warm and tasty. The place was clean and well-maintained, which made it comfortable. Definitely one of the better Tim Hortons spots in the area—I'll be coming back!

The food was good, but I wish they told us that they were charging us for the takeaway containers. Also, gratuity is included at 15% for large groups (not unusual, just thought I would mention it). Otherwise, it was a nice dinner, and everybody enjoyed their meal

I have to give this restaurant their flowers! 🙌🏽 I’ve been ordering from here since around 2018, and they have NEVER disappointed me. I always go for the shrimp curry meal, and it’s always A1! 🍤🔥 The portions are very good they are definitely not stingy with the food. Everything is always fresh, hot, flavorful, and delicious. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food. I’m usually the type of person to get mad when food takes a long time to prepare, but honestly, I can tell they’re making it with love because you can taste it once the food is ready. It’s always worth the wait! I will definitely keep ordering. Keep up the good work! ❤️👏🏽

The food here hits you in the soul! Shout out to the bartender at Dublin Calling for the recommendation! He said the soup is life changing. He wasn’t lying. My life is better. No matter what you do, order “The Soup”. The jerk chicken was tender, flavorful and clearly the number one ingredient was love because I could taste it. Rice and peas so fluffy and moist and delicious that I’m still thinking about it. Will be driving 30 min to come back soon!

Best jerk chicken in Toronto, in my opinion. Coming from someone that has been making my own jerk chicken for over 20 years(baked style with blended veggies and seasoning so it’s a little different) but nonetheless, lots of experience with making it. The char on the chicken is perfectly done. Skin is not soggy and holds flavour very well. Most places water down their seasonings a bit but Simone’s is full flavour and delicious. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is high, and that’s why it’s so delicious. The akee and salt fish is also number 1 in the city, again for those that cook it at home know how much preparation and time it takes to soak that fish over night and clean it, so for a restaurant in Toronto where time matters, wow it hits. Great job team. Johnny cakes have tons of flavour and when dipped in the oxtail gravy it’s a work of art. Patties are good, I won’t go into too much of an analysis on the patties as their are several places in the city that focus on those strictly and do it better, but as a whole picture it works. I definitely recommend coming here and trying as many dishes as possible over a few visits. Nothing disappoints. Been a customer here for over 10 years and will continue to visit when I’m hungry and in this neck of the woods. They do dine in and take out so it’s convenient.

DELICIOUS. They had good music, The bagels we're perfectly chewy and soft and they put the perfect amount of cream cheese on mine. For bottle of fruit punch and a bagel plus tax it was $8. The bagels were very filling so I say $8 is really good. I came here with my friend after our fighting class and the lady was so welcoming and nice. Perfect place for a snack or lunch. It was very kid-friendly as me and my friend are minors and it felt safe from the Danforth.

Ok. It's not St Viateur or Fairmount but it's pretty darn close. Excellent cream cheese and lox with the trimmings and great service. You've read about other places where you'd be better off with a Tim's bagel? Then you probably should have gone here! Do yourself a favour!!

Just tried Bagel Time on the Danforth and wow, these are legit some of the best bagels I’ve had in Toronto. They’re doing the real Montreal-style thing with the wood oven and you can totally taste it. Got the tuna salad bagel and it was honestly ridiculous in the best way. Big scoop of tuna, not too mayo-heavy, tasted super fresh, and the bagel didn’t fall apart or get soggy. It’s giving actual Montreal competition, no cap. Also snagged a sesame and a poppy seed one to bring home. Both were perfect — seeds toasted just right, still warm when I left. The sesame one especially slapped. Small little spot but they’re clearly putting in the work. If you’re anywhere near Pape/Danforth, go.

It was pretty decent food. I've had better ramen elsewhere but my wife especially loved the grilled octopus. The croquettes were also delicious. Service was prompt and it was very quiet on a Wednesday night in the late evening which was nice. Prices were a bit steep though.

Nakayoshi has such a calming and beautiful atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The ramen was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and really satisfying. The service was also great, quick, attentive, and friendly without feeling rushed. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Came for open mike night. Our friends were singing. We ordered a variety of items cauliflower bites hamburger fish and chips fish tacos and Caesar salad nachos. The fish tacos they were ok not the best. To be honest. The fish was semi warm and very chewy. Everyone else’ enjoyed their food. The burgers were a hit and the Caesar salad was great.

Fox & Fiddle Danforth is located close to Pape subway station. Now when you think of a bar or an establishment like this, you probably will think of drinks. Well, I think of their roast beef dip sandwich. I know, it sounds silly right but I got hooked on it during a previous visit. So, when I crave it, I go and have it. The bread is soft, the au jus dip is savory and best of all, the fries are crispy and crunchy. Easy comfort food when I want to gab with the friends. We dont even drink alcohol! Lol. The staff are lovely. Oxana served us during our most recent visit and she was attentive, polite, and pleasant. We sat at the family tables close to the window which was enjoyable and allowed for people watching. Am I coming back? Yep. Next time I'm craving that roast beef sandwich, I'll be back. I'm sure there are other sandwiches out there that will top this one but there is just something comforting about hanging out with a bestie, chatting and enjoying a good sandwich for a weekend brunch.

There was an endless stream of delivery and takeout orders while we dined in, and can see why. Got the Bento A beef, sushi nami, and softshell crab, and all of them tasted pretty good and were pretty good quality. But what made them comeback-worthy was definitely the portion size for the prices. Left with our bellies full and our wallets not empty.

Atmosphere: used to come here very often when I was younger. Glad to see that its still around. Decor has been updated since my last visit a few year ago. Everything is good and clean. Food: very consistent food quality. Fried stuff is really good. Sashimi is fresh, but my Chirashi Don could have used more sashimi pieces, instead had a lot of rice. Pricing was reasonable. Service: was pretty reasonable good for just having 1 server. Overall: good to see its still around. Its one of the places that has been around for decades and still a good place to enjoy some sushi.

I loveee this place. I have been coming here for 12-15 years now. It started withwhen I was single, and theb with my wife after getting married and now I come with my 2 kids since they were 2 yr old and now they are 6 and 10. Such a loving and caring atmosphere to eat in. My son tells me he will remember this place always, this is where we had our family night dinners, and his love for sushi started!! ❤️

I really liked their dinner special, more than enough food and yummy. What really stood out for me was the lack of loud music that most restaurants have. Here you can have a nice conversation without yelling. Very calm and nice. Would recommend 👌

The food was fantastic. The service on point! They really care about the presentation of the food, it was immaculate!! Take out was busy, but you could tell they where happy to have people in the restaurant. Absolutely the best Sushi 🍣 in a long time. Generous proportions. Very competitive pricing. Even the menu was fantastically designed, new, clean, and a great feel. Bravo, Bravo!!

It serves as an excellent spot to enjoy some beverages and light finger foods, particularly if you prefer beer, as there isn't a dedicated menu for cocktails. The overall atmosphere and setting were quite pleasant. I visited on a weekday, finding it to be a charming experience.

Food was reasonably priced and tasted good. Had half price wings so no complaints there. It's a fairly tight dark space so great for smaller groups and chats. Lots of TVs and things going on. Beer was cold and delicious. Just like a pub should be.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon in May. It was not too busy during this hour. Enjoyed a chill, quiet bite! Service was standard but the Lime chips won me over! Almost got a second order to take to-go because it was that good. Also - prices are good here as well.
