I had a really great experience at Pizzeria Libretto. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The food here is genuinely delicious. The wood-fired pizza had the perfect balance of a soft, airy crust with just the right amount of crispness. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite.
I also tried one of their mocktails and it was incredible. Refreshing, well-balanced, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience.
The service was smooth and the staff made us feel comfortable and taken care of without rushing anything. You can tell they put pride into both the food and the atmosphere.
Overall, this is definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for great pizza, amazing drinks, and a nice dining experience. I will absolutely be coming back.

Something has happened to Libretto's pizza dough.. I used to go to Ossington, Danforth and North York location and the dougg was always perfect and Napoli style. Full of air a
Right now the dough is just crusty and hard, just like a New York style pizza.. Very disappointing.. This has happened in this location as well as Ossington location. 1st photo is how it used to be like 1-2 yrs ago (since 2015). 2nd photo is how it is now in June 2026.

The pizza was very good! Ordered margherita pizza, prosciutto with arugula, and chicken pesto for 5 people. The portions were good size for 1-2 people. However, service was a little slow and the waiters asked us for parmesan cheese too late.

Very good and comfy pizza joint on the Danforth. It can work as a family casual pizza outing, or even a pizza date later at night. I've been several times and the pizza has always been excellent. They have a private room downstairs for events and birthdays too.

Great pizza! We particularly liked the new York style mushroom pizza.

I rarely post restaurant reviews, but this place has become one of my absolute favourites across the city. I stumbled upon it a few weeks back, and it’s been a game-changer. The fried calamari is simply unmatched, and I haven’t had a raspberry tartufo that good in a long while. The grilled chicken penne was also fantastic. Receiving a really nice 25% discount on my bill was the cherry on top (this applies to dine-in orders on Monday and Tuesday evenings only). No wonder that it was absolutely packed when I dined there, even on a sunny Monday evening! Will strongly consider coming back when I'm in the mood to dine out at an Italian restaurant.

Busy location so definitely make a reservation for evenings at least.
Calamari we felt was salty, but overall enjoyed our dishes.
Kept having to ask for drinks or refills.
We sat at the front & it was pretty tight seating.

I went to IL Fornello on the Danforth expecting to piece together a sad little vegan meal from side dishes… but this place actually understands vegan Italian food.
I ordered the vegan Caesar salad, bruschetta, and mushroom pasta, and honestly, every dish delivered. The Caesar was creamy and flavourful, the bruschetta was fresh and perfectly crispy, and the mushroom pasta was so rich and comforting I considered cancelling my plans afterward and just living there permanently!
What I loved most was that the vegan options felt intentional and well made, not like someone just removed the cheese and called it a day. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was warm and friendly, and everyone at the table left happy.
Definitely one of the better spots on the Danforth if you want Italian food that doesn’t make vegans feel like an afterthought.

Il Fornello is a Danforth gem. 40 years now of excellent community and food and atmosphere - with an extensive and tasty plant-based menu too! I’ve eaten here for years and when I became a Dad we started to bring our son too. Il Fornello is beyond family-friendly, and you’ll be back multiple times. Thank you for the great suppers!

We go to Il Fornello often and always have a great experience. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and there is a variety of vegan options available. They are also very allergy friendly. This location also has a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend!

The service here is friendly. It was quiet when we first arrived, but the dining room began filling up between 8PM and 9PM. While the restaurant felt a bit understaffed during that peak rush, it’s completely understandable given the current economic climate. The servers know most of the customers and greet them by name. Great! We went for the AYCE, but the menu selection was quite little. Sashimi wise, there are only salmon, butter fish and tai. We were also offered 10% discount for cash payment. In short, we should support the local restaurant, but is it great compares to other...??? I would say average, nothing stands out - freshness, flavour, presentation, variety wise.

Thank you so much Katsu Japanese Restaurant for dealing with all of the noise my friends and I make when we are there. I apologize deeply.
This is our go-to for sushi. It’s such an amazing location. It’s also such a relaxing place as well so whenever we want to have a calm day this is THE spot. This place has been such a staple in our friendship, some of the best inside jokes have been made here and we’ve had so many deep conversations here. This location has such a special place in my heart.
Oh my days, how I adore this place so much. The sushi is the bomb dot com. I’m drooling writing this review thinking about the sushi. Yummers,,

Was craving salmon sashimi, so my girlfriend and I decided to head to Katsu. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were excited to see that they serve salmon during lunch, which was exactly what we were looking for.
Overall, the food was delicious. The salmon sashimi hit the spot, and most of the dishes were fresh and flavorful. The only slight disappointment was the butterfish—it seemed to be holding a bit of water and wasn’t as flavorful as it usually is.
Aside from that, everything else was great. Friendly service, quick seating, and tasty sushi. We’ll definitely be back!

Following up from a great Valentines day dinner. My original reso at another restaurant canceled on me so thankfully Katsu seated us on the 14th with a very busy restaurant. Despite that, we were given immaculate service and the food was amazing. A little louder than usual but was to be expected on such a busy day. Usually the atmosphere is very quiet and tranquil, Valentines was a little louder but still pleasant. All parts of the Valentines day set dinner for two were amazing and we both enjoyed very much! Super thankful we got a walk in on Valentines, and really happy with the quality on everything!

Cute music, gorgeous tree in the center of the room looks so whimsical, and the food tastes incredible, you can tell its made to order with a passion for what the chef is making. Love it will be back all the time

All the staff are friendly, competent, and kind at all times, even when busy. EXCELLENT customer service! Service is quick and exceptionally efficient. This is the main Tim Hortons I go to and have been going to for at least 5 years, particularly because of the friendliness of staff. Service with a smile ALWAYS. The staff even remember my name. :)

Every visit here is better because of Lipi. She brings such a positive energy to the place and handles everything so smoothly, even during busy times. What stands out most is how attentive and thoughtful she is, it never feels rushed, and she always makes sure things are just right. It’s little things like that, that turn a quick stop into a genuinely pleasant experience. Truly appreciate the effort she puts in every day!

The food was good, but I wish they told us that they were charging us for the takeaway containers. Also, gratuity is included at 15% for large groups (not unusual, just thought I would mention it). Otherwise, it was a nice dinner, and everybody enjoyed their meal

I’m obsessed with this place. Best Caribbean food in Toronto, hands down. Succulent, impeccable seasoning. I eat there once a week.

Great local restaurant. The food was good. We waited about 25mins for our food but the plantains and Johnny cakes came out first and were delicious. The oxtails were seasoned but a bit tough. The fish was great.
Small indoor dining area. There are stairs for the bathroom downstairs so it is not accessible for wheelchairs.
Angela Love - a year ago
I ordered the oxtail spent a good amount but for any who knows that is already expensive. Was disappointed and I feel the lack of flavor and cooking down of the meat wasnt there like how I thin they want it because the demographic where they are located probably trying to make it ok for the area. The atmosphere was inviting and no over done and very pleasant staff. I have hope in this place 🙏

DELICIOUS. They had good music, The bagels we're perfectly chewy and soft and they put the perfect amount of cream cheese on mine. For bottle of fruit punch and a bagel plus tax it was $8. The bagels were very filling so I say $8 is really good. I came here with my friend after our fighting class and the lady was so welcoming and nice. Perfect place for a snack or lunch. It was very kid-friendly as me and my friend are minors and it felt safe from the Danforth.
Estelle Habermeyer - 4 months ago
Just tried Bagel Time on the Danforth and wow, these are legit some of the best bagels I’ve had in Toronto. They’re doing the real Montreal-style thing with the wood oven and you can totally taste it.
Got the tuna salad bagel and it was honestly ridiculous in the best way. Big scoop of tuna, not too mayo-heavy, tasted super fresh, and the bagel didn’t fall apart or get soggy. It’s giving actual Montreal competition, no cap.
Also snagged a sesame and a poppy seed one to bring home. Both were perfect — seeds toasted just right, still warm when I left. The sesame one especially slapped.
Small little spot but they’re clearly putting in the work. If you’re anywhere near Pape/Danforth, go.

Ok. It's not St Viateur or Fairmount but it's pretty darn close. Excellent cream cheese and lox with the trimmings and great service.
You've read about other places where you'd be better off with a Tim's bagel? Then you probably should have gone here! Do yourself a favour!!

I had a great experience at Fox & Fiddle. As someone who enjoys playing 8 Ball, this place has the perfect atmosphere for both pool and catching live games or UFC fights. The vibe is always energetic and welcoming.
The service was fast and efficient, especially from Anastasia. She’s excellent at her job—always quick to assist, even when there are issues with the pool table. What really stands out is her positive attitude; she’s always smiling and makes sure everyone is taken care of.
Definitely one of the best spots to relax, play pool, and enjoy great service. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a masterclass in hospitality, look no further than Anastasia.
It’s rare to find a bartender who balances blistering speed with pinpoint accuracy, but she makes it look effortless. Even during the busiest rushes, every drink is crafted perfectly—no shortcuts, just high-quality service delivered at an incredible pace.
Beyond her technical skills, Anastasia’s personality truly sets the vibe. She has a natural ability to make everyone feel like a regular, bringing a warm, engaging energy to the room that keeps people coming back.
Thank you, Anastasia, for the exceptional service and for being the highlight of the evening!

I loveee this place. I have been coming here for 12-15 years now. It started withwhen I was single, and theb with my wife after getting married and now I come with my 2 kids since they were 2 yr old and now they are 6 and 10.
