The inside is very cute and quaint, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal. Yes, it’s definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay about twice as much as you would at somewhere like Sunset Grill. But in this case, you’re absolutely getting what you pay for. The breakfast is delicious—easily more than twice as tasty, so take that for what it's worth. Everything is cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the crispy bacon and perfectly toasted bread. The staff are also lovely, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall experience. While it might not be an everyday spot for the budget-conscious, it’s absolutely worth the splurge every now and then for a truly enjoyable breakfast.

Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life. Historic and quality. - we split two dishes to try more things from the menu. Pancakes are worth the hype. The booth designs are awesome. Walk out and bam, you’re right in the core of the madness. We had no wait at 11:30am on a Saturday.

Food was good but nothing too special. Tried the burger, was a bit dry. However, they have possibly the best homemade chocolate chip cookie in the city. Make sure you ask for it warmed up, you won’t be dissatisfied. Overall a great place to eat.

Always a great outing at The Senator! Wonderful selection of hot beverages, but we all miss the milkshakes. The pancakes used to better, as well. Now, they are a little too doughy and dense, whereas they were lighter with a slight crisp of caramelization on the outsides previously. Service was very good, but everything took a very long time to get orders in and get food and drinks. Otherwise would've been 5 stars across the board! Will definitely be back again!

Wonderful staff. Front hosts/reception is very welcoming and servers are kind and patient. Overall, the food is a good go to for simple and reliable Italian food. The fried calamari was the highlight of the dinner. Lightly crispy, not chewy and fresh. The atmosphere is superb especially the back patio on a sunny day.

Our daughter invited us to Terroni restaurant for Mother's Day. The pasta, gnocchi, and pizza were all deliciously prepared. The highlight, though, was the dessert—specially made for the occasion. However, what was absolutely perfect to my taste, including the temperature, was the cappuccino. We love this restaurant. Please visit—it won’t disappoint

The restaurant is inside a historic jail. Highly recommend checking it out as the interior is super cool, decor is fantastic and atmosphere is very nice. Music is a tad bit too loud but not a big deal. Food came super quickly and the service is overall timely. Portion was a little smaller than I expected but tasty and filling.

Terroni’s was absolutely delicious with great service! We even got a little history lesson, the building used to be a courthouse, and it was really cool seeing the old jail cells in the basement on our way to the bathroom. The food was amazing, everything was very well done. Definitely a wonderful experience!

The space was beautiful, spacious, and stylish, great for events, dates, or business meetings. The food, or at least the pizzas we tried, was average to slightly above average, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu and cannoli desserts had a standard Italian taste, nothing to complain about but not memorable either. Our main server was neither friendly nor professional, though the staff who brought the food were polite and did a good job.

Had an amazing experience at Hy’s! We ordered the steak and dessert — both were absolutely delicious. The live music added a perfect touch to the atmosphere. My family had an amazing time. Gabriel was very attentive and we loved his sense of humour. Great selection of Canadian beef, with options for vegetarians as well. Appetizers and desserts were wonderful. Extensive wine list. Definitely recommend for a night out.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Hy’s last night with my partner to celebrate a big accomplishment, and I can confidently say it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly staff at the reception, setting the tone for the evening. Our server, Joanna, was beyond exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She checked on us consistently throughout the night, ensuring our experience was perfect. We started with cheese toast, fresh oysters and Oysters Rockefeller, both incredibly fresh and flavourful. For the mains, I had the lamb chops, which was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My partner had the 14oz ribeye steak, and it was nothing short of amazing. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For dessert, we indulged in the Bananas Foster, which was a delightful surprise for me—I usually don’t enjoy desserts, but this was incredible, especially with the tableside service adding to the experience. To round off the night, we had blueberry tea, which was the perfect comforting end to a fantastic meal. Hy’s truly exceeded my expectations in every way—incredible food, top-tier service, and an inviting ambiance. Joanna’s service made our evening even more special, and I deeply appreciate the level of care and attention we received. I can’t wait to return and explore the rest of their menu! Great experience with the service and the food here. Even in a packed house when we arrived, we got a table right away and the food and drinks came very quickly. We got the Cassoulet and the Halloumi Fries. Both were tasty and fresh. Good beer temperature. Overall, a place we enjoyed and that we will definitely return when we are in Downtown. Reasonable price for the location.

Been here twice-the first for a birthday and most recently, to enjoy a nice meal with friends from out of province. Both times, we ordered the chef's tasting menu and wow. Incredible service and food, excellent flavour balance especially paired with the wine pairing, and enough food that will put you in a food coma. Great bang for your buck. Richmond Station remains a wonderful experience (better than some 1 Michelin star restaurants I've been to) and I will no doubt be back again to try out their ever changing chef's tasting menu. Do make a reservation though, we reserved for Thursday at 7:30 pm and the place was packed.

Went to Richmond Station to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The location of the restaurant is very central and the overall ambiance is pleasant. They have a daily menu of entree, cocktail and wine. At 7:30pm they were out of the entree. They had a large wine selection. The food menu had enough options and dishes looked great. We started with the charcuterie board and it was decent. They also bring sourdough to your table to start along with a light hummus. The bread was ok but not impressive, maybe because I prefer a harder crust. Certainly didn’t taste stale but not as fresh as I’d hoped. For main I had the arctic char. The fish is cooked medium and tasted fresh and good but I need to give a special recognition to the cauliflower & rice? bed the fish was sitting on because that was delicious. Friends had the steak tartare, risotto, beet salad, soup and they all looked and tasted good. The dessert selection is nothing to write home about but I’m increasingly certain that this is the case in pretty much any restaurant in Toronto. We had the hazelnut chocolate pie. It was a big portion, a bit too sweet and heavy for my taste but if you have a sweet tooth and a penchant for chocolate, you might like it more than I did. The service was very good through and through. Tips are included in the price regardless of party size. Prices are high. Price/performance could be better. Good to try once. Not certain I’ll go back but happy I have tried Richmond station.

From start to finish, our evening at Richmond Station was truly unforgettable. We had the 7-course tasting menu, and every dish beautifully showcased the best of farm-to-table cuisine — vibrant, seasonal ingredients crafted into thoughtful, stunning plates. A huge thank you to Krish, who took incredible care of us throughout the night. He even organized a behind-the-scenes kitchen tour where we had the chance to meet Tyler, their devoted manager — an absolute highlight! Seeing the heart of the operation and meeting the talented team behind the scenes made us appreciate the meal even more. The desserts were showstealers — inventive & perfectly balanced. After hearing that their signature burger is so beloved that 30% of the 160 guests on a given service order it, we've already got our sights set on coming back to try it for ourselves. I had bookmarked for a long time — I went with the Tasting Menu, which gets updated periodically. You can check the menu in advance before your visit. You can choose regular dining tables or bar seating; sitting at the kitchen counter definitely adds to the experience (+1). The interior seems to be inspired by a subway ticket booth, with the restaurant’s name in symbols. You can watch the whole process of dishes being prepared in the open kitchen. I noticed that most of the chefs and servers appeared to be Indian, so I think that’s why I tasted a distinct Indian curry flavor (in a good way) in the second course. Maybe my expectations were especially high, so I felt that the main course fell a bit short of the usual standard. Still, overall it was a satisfying experience — and no tips required, which most people probably already know. Ate and drank well for under $200. Next time, I might try à la carte or check out a new tasting menu.

Service - Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. Server paid attention to the guests and provided immaculate service. Restaurant - Great location and great vibes. It’s a high end restaurant and the ambiance is apt. Food - They are known for their St. burger which is what my friend tried and said it was pretty good. I had the chicken and it was good too. Something on the plate was a bit salty but overall it was a unique take on a chicken dish and tasted good. Price - it’s a pricey restaurant but I did not find the food to be worth the price. I paid for an iced tea and the chicken, and my bill was $57. However, the great thing about the restaurant is that you don’t have to tip on top of your total bill. Tip is already included in the meal price so in that sense, I guess it’s a good thing.

As someone who is entrenched within Italian traditions and customs, finding an Italian restaurant that measures up to my Nonna's and mum's cooking is challenging. This is one of my most favourite Italian restaurants. The menu is inventive, everything is so fresh and delicious. Our server was unbelievably friendly and helpful, and he indulged Nonna's questions and conversations about her time in Sicily as a child. We started with the Caprese con Mozzarella di Bufala and Arancine Palermitane (stuffed with a Beef Ragu). Followed by a Prosciutto e Burrata pizza, and ended our meal with 2 scoops of Italian Gelato (lemon and chocolate) and a delicious Cannoli (probably one of the best I've ever had...so good, we ordered two more to go!), and a Cappuccino. It was a truly wonderful night out.

Came here for a work holiday party. From the friendly welcome to the absolute top notch service from our two main servers throughout the night. They were an absolute delight! And then of course the food! From the salads, arrincini, pasta, pizza and dessery, everything was top notch. The drinks were delicious, Purple Rain made the top of the list but Lily was a close second! Old fashioned was a bit too sweet for my liking but to each their own. Thank you for the hospitality. Will definitely be back 😊

La Bettola di Terroni offers a cozy ambiance, but my experience was disappointing. The special deep-fried pizza was cold, dry, and hard, resembling a stale beaver tail. Pasta dishes were served warm rather than hot, even on a quiet Wednesday evening—an unacceptable lapse for a restaurant claiming authentic Italian quality. The service was nothing out of the ordinary, and sitting near the window in winter was uncomfortable due to a noticeable draft. Overall, the food and experience failed to meet expectations.

It was really an average experience. Very few vegetarian options and moreover Vegetarian pasta was under Al Dante, thick chewy pasta. Sweet Potato salad ordered did not come at all. Cappachino was good. Pistachio Canolo dessert was just average. I have had better desserts at Italian Restaurants.

Food is alright but eating in at that area regardless of it being Popeyes or BK.... is such a turnoff given the....weird ones who patronize the place. Best to take out and get outta there. If you have the time, walk up north to Jolibee if you're looking for crispy chicken burger

The famous Popeyes, popular for their Louisiana style chicken fry was really good. My wife would give the chicken fry's 5/5. I have had a burger 🍔 as I'm more of a burger and beer person. It was okay. The ambiance was nice specially for a fried chicken shop that too next to Dundas Square.

I recently visited Nami, and I have to say the sushi was absolutely amazing—authentically prepared and full of fresh, rich flavours. The attention to detail in each dish was spot on, and every bite felt like a true taste of Japan. The atmosphere was also lovely, with a peaceful, traditional setting. However, I was a bit taken aback by the portion sizes considering the high prices. Without a doubt one of the best japanese restaurants I've ever been to! Their menu is focused around sushi and sashimi but there are a lot of cooked dishes as well. Extremely fresh and high quality ingredients are thoughtfully executed here, and its no wonder why this is one of Toronto's oldest sushi joints. The ingredients are so fresh that I, pleasantly, didn't even recognize the flavors of some fish I often order. The black cod may be the single best cooked fish I've ever tasted and highly recommend! Service is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. Traditional feeling, yet intimate and cozy! The menu is on the pricier side but it's absolutely worth it, considering quality and execution is better than most other places I've had in the same price range. Highly, highly recommend!

I stopped in to dine in and was in a bit of a rush - the service here was so attentive, quick and kind. It was big and spacious with plenty of seating and classy, traditional decor, but I didn't feel uncomfortable popping in for a casual quick meal as well. I ordered the bara chirashi don which was so fresh. I especially enjoyed the unagi! Would definitely come back.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was so overwhelmingly salty that I couldn’t even eat it. On top of that, the fries were just as bad—way too salty! Seriously, why so much salt? Not only does it ruin the flavor, but overly salty food isn’t healthy either. Please pay more attention to the seasoning and ensure the dishes you serve are properly balanced. A little care in the kitchen can make a huge difference for your customers! 🤷🏻‍♀️

The service was pretty slow and poor.. took a lot of time to attend as well... The food was freshly prepared and had very authentic flavours.. the portion size was a little less as compared to price... The linguine di mare(seafood pasta) had 3 scallops, 4 clams and 3 shrimps to be precise.. it was delicious tho. The gnocchi was also very yummy... The tiramisu was freshly prepared and authentic flavours and the cannolli had a nice taste to it as well... The pizza mushroom was also very tasty... It's always busy there and I wanted to go there. We went there around 12 PM. It was busy but there were a couple of tables available so we didn't need to wait. Food is cheap and good!! But the waitress made us so rushed. They don't give us any time. They asked us if we were ready before looking at the menu. They took plants Soo fast. I felt they were saying it would not take a long time. Go finish and leave....

I visited Sunset Grill for brunch based on a recommendation. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon, some potatoes, and coffee. While the service was good and the atmosphere was okay, I was disappointed with the food. The salmon and toast were alright, but the potatoes lacked seasoning and were too soft. Overall, it wasn’t as nice as I expected.
