Must-visit if you like pubs. The layout of the house is maze-like and really fascinating, and each room plays a different kind of music, creating a different atmosphere. The people there were very friendly, and the menu items were also not overpriced. Best of all, entry is free!

I’ve been to Madison Avenue Pub a few times for meet-ups, watching soccer, and hanging out with friends—it’s always a good time. The vibe during soccer games is unbeatable, with a lively crowd and plenty of screens. The food is solid—I’ve had the fish and chips, chicken sandwich, and fries, all consistently good. Service is usually great, though it can slow down a bit when it’s really busy, which is fair. Overall, a fun, reliable spot for drinks, classic pub food, and catching the game. Definitely recommend!

Came here for lunch after a class and it was a good time. The place is huge! Lots of space downstairs and upstairs. Many pool tables, juke boxes, slots, and bars to sit by. The beers were cold and smooth. I ordered a burger off the lunch menu and it was only $10!! I was shocked because I also got fries with it, you're not getting a meal at McDonald's with fries for that price, especially if you have to also order a drink like we did for the burger. The burger was decent and definitely better than the average fast food spot. I'd come back to try other things on their menu. I also had a tequila shot which they had decent options for a pub. Overall good experience I'll be back to try more.

The burgers were very good, we order the Classic Pub Burger and the Beyond Burger, they come with fries. It’s a very cool spot to go with your friends or after work. We spent like $30 bucks for one beer and a hamburger with fries, I think is a fair price.
They have trivia nights, and a lot of room for small or big groups.

Visited Madison Avenue Pub with my school batch mates to have some drinks and watch Maple Leafs match. Amazing pub and they had already opened the upper level patio deck. Too much seating space surrounded by lush green tall trees. We ordered two pitchers, one each Stella Artois and Space Invader. Later we ordered a pint 🍺 and continued to watch the game. On the sides we got Pub Nachos & fries 🍟 along with Fish Taco Trio. Well prepared food and fresh by the chef. Staffs were very friendly and had a good sense of humour. The pub is awesome in terms of low level of noise, quiet neighbourhood and few steps away from TTC Spadina subway station. A hidden gem, will visit soon. Thank you for your service Madison Staff!!!

Wonderful little Italian restaurant super close to St George Subway on Bloor St. I don’t recommend going without a reservation.
I ordered a gf pizza made with pesto and mushrooms. The owner came to make sure I was getting something that worked for me as I had asked for gf, no dairy and no tomato.
Tough call in a an Italian place but as I can tolerate Parmesan the pesto was amazing.
The pizza was piping hot and delicious
Too bad they have no sorbet. Dessert is limited to two items: tiramisu and a cookie.
I would go back knowing the limitations. The ambience is amazing and it’s obviously a very popular spot.

Girls’ night out on Friday—and what a fantastic evening! It was just the girls night out, but the food absolutely stole the show. The pizza dough is honestly one of the best in Toronto—beautifully chewy with a perfect bite—and they were generous with the cheese and mushrooms. Every slice was a dream.
The calamari was tender with a perfectly crisp coating, and the meatballs were packed with flavour, nestled in a tomato sauce that was fresh, bright, and absolutely delicious. It’s rare to find a tomato sauce that good—clearly made with care and love.
The service was just as memorable. Our server (I wish I remembered her name!) was so attentive and kind—she mentioned she studies at the University of Toronto, which is just across the street.
I can’t recommend Bar Mercurio enough. I’ll definitely be bringing my students there the next time we’re in Toronto. It's right across from the ROM—an ideal spot for a post-museum meal!

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. It was our first time. The pizzas are definitely unique, we had 3 for just the 2 of us. Thin crust that's crunchy on the outside and soft once you bite in. We could tell the owner/cook puts a lot of passion into his work with the 72 hour fermented sourdough. We also had their paccheri ai frutti di mare pasta in lobster sauce, which was simply divine! We finished with some house-made panetone and tiramisu that were out of this world. The owner was kind enough to offer us a digestif with dessert! All the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. The ambiance was charming and cozy and we absolutely loved the decor. We highly recommend!

Once again, after returning to Toronto, I visited the restaurant I had been to five months ago. And once again, I’m amazed by the delicious food and the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. This time, I brought my friends, and they were also impressed. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Toronto so I can visit your restaurant again. I’m already drooling 🤤🤤🤤. Thank you, Francesca, Paulo, and Giuseppe – you are the loveliest!!!

We visited Fresh on Bloor to celebrate both mine and my friend's birthdays. The atmosphere was welcoming, perfect for a casual celebration and fellowship. Our server Sabrina was absolutely wonderful she made us feel truly taken care of. She helped make our little celebration extra special by giving us a free cake. The food, was fresh as the name of the resto says plus flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great plant-based options and amazing service. We'll definitely be back!

Went for pick up and ordered the broccoli Caesar wrap. It looked delicious on the menu! Overall it was okay. It was certainly fresh! But I would say that it lacked Caesar dressing. Most of the wrap was dry and bland. I had to get my own dressing at home to add moisture and flavour. I would definitely get it again as long as I could ensure there was adequate dressing. There was way too much dry lettuce and plain broccoli. Perhaps if the dressing was mixed with the greens thoroughly before putting in the wrap that may have helped quite a bit.

Everything was great. A quiet Monday night. Definitely would come back. Flavours good. Textures were a lot of soft things in my bowl but the dressings and sauces were really solid. I actually like my veg steamed to closer to well done but most folks might find it too done. I cleared my bowl clean. Hot sauce had a surprising kick. Not super spicy by any means but I’m glad I could taste it. The garlic chilli crunch in the goddess bowl was the best thing in the bowl.

This was my first time trying a vegan restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was very flavourful, healthy (obviously) and packed with lots of protein. I also had the 'hello gorgeous power shake' (not pictured) and this was so delicious! I can't enough of how wonderful everything tasted and will definitely come back!

The food was absolutely delicious — no complaints at all. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made us feel very welcome. The only reason I’m not giving a higher rating is because the place gets extremely hot in the summer. It really felt like an oven inside. I’d strongly recommend investing in air conditioning to make the overall customer experience much more comfortable and enjoyable

Dined here on New Year’s eve which was super cold and rainy and this warmed us right up. I’ve always been a big fan of Kenzo’s and I’m glad that this location was consistent with the others I’ve been to. Ramen is flavourful and is a good portion size. Shio is a salt-based broth but not salty, just has a nice umami. King of kings ramen is a very big portion and the spice in the soup warms the belly. I’m a fan of the noodle texture here as it’s not too overcooked and I like that they serve bamboo in the ramen as most places don’t do that anymore. We also ordered the pork katsu on the side which was very crispy and not dry at all. The portion for this was also quite generous.
Alexandria L - 8 months ago
One of the best fresh ramen dishes I’ve tasted in Toronto so far! It’s rich, and the taste is unique to Kenzo’s restaurants. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the order arrived at the table in no time. The only downside is that it’s a small space, and there’s sometimes a wait to sit down.

After our favourite ramen spot closed this year, we're so glad to have come across this shoppe!
The food was flavourful and very satisfying, and the portions were generous.
The staff is very pleasant, and were very mindful of our allergies.
The atmosphere is really cozy and relaxed, too. (We could have sat there longer to relax!)
Hope your experience here will be as good as ours was...

I’ve been eating here since I was young child currently 36, I got introduced to this place when I was about 15 or 16 years old, being a young Torontonian. Travelling down into the city by subway In the early 2000s. Was introduced to this location by my cousin And it has become a ritual throughout my entire life. If I go to this section of downtown, I go to Burrito Banditos.
I remember when it was once called burrito boys, but the owner split up one took the Recipe. The other one took the name.
I continue to go to burrito Bandito’s because it’s the recipe that matters It’s then nostalgia it’s the umami flavour that warms your heart. Eating the burrito brings back childhood memories. Makes me feel young those feelings of nostalgia come flooding in on the first bite. To this day, I choose to go to burrito Bandito’s even living in the Vaughan area we have burrito boys, but they have ruined it beyond belief because they made it a chain not the niche burrito place I remember as a kid which burrito Bandidos still to this day lives up to what I remember and it’s so rare to find a place like this I can continue to provide the best service best food Best service best atmosphere.
In a modern changing evolving world, everything gets bought and sold out as a chain franchise, I am still grateful to these people for continuing to provide the best service best food since I first found it.
It’s original location with Richmond and Peter and the club district of Toronto, but With an evolving city, things change things fade out and it’s upsetting because me being a young teenager and a young adult going to clubs in the early 2000s this was the go to spot for food and the portions were amazing
I thank this place for all the fun memories I have of this place and it’s original location

The server I had was so nice and friendly and made me feel as though they were genuinely thrilled I walked in, even though I could see other customers eating. While I was waiting for my food, a delivery driver came in and reached over the glass to show his phone to the same server. The server politely but firmly told him not to cross over the glass to keep the food free of germs. It was a small detail but it gave me confidence that this place cares about freshness of ingredients. Burrito was really yummy too!

Excellent service, delicious burritos. Fresh ingredients, good options and menu and for great pricing. The small is pretty big and I had the bean and cheese. I love that they have sweet peppers as a topping...tastes great. Looking forward to trying their new tofu burrito.
The ladies working were pleasant even though I got there close to closing.
I'll be back!

Been going here for over 10+ years on and off (started in around 2012 ish), and their burritos always hit the spot when the craving is there
The old man always packs with meat, most of the other employees are generous with toppings and don't skimp, everything is simple no frills service, and burritos are always loaded and delicious
A newer item that has shown up, the cilantro chicken (their chicken with a cilantro/mayo sauce), is my new favourite thing on the menu there

The Mango Chicken Burrito is where it's at!!
Small spot big, flavourful burritos!
Burrito was juicy, filled with enough mango, veggies, and meat that you wouldn't need to order a second one bc the first one didn't fill you up.
Im a fan!
Thanks for the service and the food..both great.

A reliably satisfying neighbourhood spot for Vietnamese noodles and hearty sharing plates. The kitchen shows clear skill with traditional flavours and comforting textures, and most dishes landed exactly where they should: well-seasoned, balanced, and generous.
What we ordered and verdicts
- Chicken dumplings: Tender, well-seasoned filling and a light wrapper; a clear starter win.
- Chicken curry: Rich, fragrant, and creamy with good depth; comfort-food level excellent.
- Chicken fried rice: Fluffy rice, nicely seared bits, and properly seasoned; simple but very well executed.
- Thai deep fried spicy chicken: Overly dry and over-spiced, which masked the chicken’s flavour and stood out as the lone disappointment.
Service was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Noise level was moderate and suited the vibe.
Portions were generous and prices reasonable for Toronto. Most dishes offered clear value, making this a dependable choice for both solo meals and group orders.

First time here and I’ll definitely be returning soon. I’m a Muslim and even though they don’t have halal food, they accommodated me and offered recommendations and double checked everything before giving it to me. We got shrimp rolls, fish cakes and seafood laksa. They have quite a few seafood and vegetarian options to pick from. Portion size was good for the price. The food tasted really good and the seafood tasted nice and fresh. The person waiting us was named Su and he was very nice, warm and welcoming. He made sure to check in on us every so often which was sweet. He even gave us two free dishes (vegetarian) which he didn’t have to but he did🥹. Will be returning soon!

This was our first time here and the food was mostly great. We ordered several sushi dishes and appetizers to share with miso soup for a light late dinner.
Everything was delicious especially the BBQ eel sushi. But the chicken skewers were too dry. They weren’t juicy and tender.
Very quiet ambiance which we loved and the service was fast and friendly.

Food is Mediocre at best, ended up feeling like if the 25 dollars I spent could've gone somewhere with better food .
I would dare to compare the taste and quality of the dish I got with store bought sushi.
Would never return

I love little Japanese restaurants that look like this, because even if the food is average, the atmosphere way makes up for it. That being said, the food was good and well worth it for the lunch special (all under $20), but of course for that price you can't expect an extravagant meal. The hot udon broth hit the spot and the sushi rolls were all well stuffed and proportioned. As well, the staff/owners were very cute and friendly.

This was, without a doubt, the single best Middle Eastern dining experience I have ever had. The food here is world-class, and the customer service is unmatched.
I ordered the Shish Tawook Platter, and it was absolutely incredible. The chicken was the most delicious, perfectly seasoned, and succulent chicken I’ve ever tasted, served on a wonderful bed of the tastiest rice. Every element of the platter was flawless. The falafels were equally immaculate—crispy golden shells protecting a light, perfectly spiced center. The Beef Stuffie was an incredibly flavour packed touch on the side as well. Every single bite of the meal was pure perfection.
What truly elevated this from a great meal to an incredibly memorable experience was the courtesy and warmth provided by Ahmed. His customer service was absolutely stellar. He is the most genuine guy, and his welcoming nature made the whole experience feel like coming home to a family member. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality.
If you are looking for the highest quality food paired with service that makes you feel valued and welcomed, you simply must visit Zaad. Thank you, Ahmed, for making my day!

The good: The actual food I ordered was good and super affordable; hard to find a place that sells a meat packed pita for 5-6 bucks.
The bad: Really wish I read the latest review before I stopped by. Made a quick to-go order that was supposed to be a 4-5 minute wait, became a 20 minute wait. People who ordered after me got their food faster, which may be because they were dine-ins. I'm not sure. I do regret that I may have been snappy when following up on when my food would be ready. The wait made me late for work and I really just needed ANYTHING to eat before my shift. So apologies to the kitchen guy.
Overall, I'd say visit for the food and convenient location. But don't stop by here unless you're prepared to wait longer than other similar places in the area.
Restaurant management needs to either hire another staff for the rush (especially if any current staff are new) or come up with a better workflow for staff. As it is now, the wait time makes me hesitant to revisit -- which sucks, since the food was good!

I tried their beef plate loaded with rice and a variety of salad toppings. It was a solid, voluminous plate at a reasonable price.
The inside of store is super hot though, so it's better as takeout or eating on their outdoor patio area.

My first time ordering with Majestic Shawarma located at 750 Spadina Ave, Spadina and Bloor. I was interested to order as I saw the ratings and I wanted good food too lol. I did my usual UBER Eats Delivery and got my order. I ordered the Chicken Plate with rice and salad plus Ginger Ale. At first glance I was like damn they put a lot of sauce on this meal. It should be a side option. Then I took the lid off and thought ok well I ordered it it has to taste good. Bingo it is! I enjoyed my meal. The rice was cooked well and I appreciated the chicken shawarma being well done (not burnt). The salad was perfect. When I was retrieving my pictures I realized that I should have taken the lid off and got a picture too but my need to know if the food was good took all reason away. I will attend but I hope I can do it in person. Thank you Majestic Shawarma for the good meal!

We tried this at the CNE and it was so good that we decided to go to the real store location! We ordered two bento boxes, one with shrimp and the other with chicken - they are cooked on the spot (dumplings are pre made but they will cook them to order)
The dumplings are good, the dumpling wrap is slightly on the thicker side. The noodles are amazing with the peanut and chilli sauce combined.
The only downside is that the Spadina location is small - the bar stools are not the comfiest and there is no washroom at this location - I wish I had the opportunity to wash my hands before eating.
This location seems to function more like a takeout restaurant - not really meant for a dine-in experience. Lovely staff!

It is truly the simple things in life life these lovely little wontons. My heart has been so full after enjoying these little pockets of joy. The chicken soup wontons are absolutely wonderful as well as their vegan wontons with the peanut sauce. I will note this place has very limited seating but don’t let that deter you from trying some of their wontons. They also have bao buns i’ve tried in the past that are super good as well!

So so delicious! I love the shrimp, pork, shiitake wontons and noodles. The lady at the counter was super friendly and made the experience very pleasant. This meal brightened my day 😊

We chose the wonton Bento box. Very filling and very filling! The service was quick and friendly. The bento box came with 5 dumplings, noodles, edename, slaw, noodles. You get to choose your sauce and dumpling. There's a row of stools along the front window. Looking forward to returning.
