5 Star Rating The bar itself is amazing. decor, music, vibes, etc. But our server neil took care of us in the best way I have ever had from a server. To start, he was training a young lady during a busy Saturday shift, and I watched him train her for the entirety of the shift regardless of the level of business. Neil also was personable: he remembered lengthy orders without a tablet/notepad like a pro, split our complicated bill perfectly without even having to ask first, was charming and fun, and never ignored any of his tables. I had a great experience at this bar food and drink was decent, but thanks to Neil (and his lovely trainee) I will recommend this bar again!

5 Star Rating We went to Hangout with friends, and the whole vibe of the place was amazing. The food was really good—especially the nachos, which came in a huge portion and tasted great. The waiters were very professional and attentive. We had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend!

5 Star Rating We arrived an hour early for our reservation so we could catch the start of the Blue Jays game. They were super accommodating. Moved us to a private area with a kick ass TV when 7pm came Service was friendly and food was great. Our reservation was for twenty made back in May. We were celebrating 40 years since our graduation and that pub made us feel like our twenties. Great fun and I don't think we were the oldest group. There was a line up of young people at the door when we left! Great evening. THANK YOU NEIL!!

5 Star Rating If you’ve ever wanted to literally get lost in a pub, Madison Avenue Pub is the place. The building is actually three Victorian-era homes stitched together, and at this point it feels less like a bar and more like a historic maze with drinks. There are four floors, what feels like half a dozen staircases, and more patios than I could responsibly count. You’ve got Madigan Patio, BIP Patio, a Covered Patio, a regular Patio, and even a Rooftop. The place gets very busy, but the staff handle it like pros. Huge shoutout to Brooklyn and Rachel (MVPs), along with Luke and Shae for keeping things moving smoothly. Manager Tash is incredibly hospitable and made the whole experience feel welcoming. Come for the drinks, stay for the adventure. Just remember where you came in… because with 4 floors, multiple patios, and enough staircases to qualify as cardio, you might need that map (2nd picture) to find your way around.

5 Star Rating I was here for an event but ended up having a great experience! The atmosphere was lively, the food and drinks were excellent, and the service truly stood out. A special shoutout to Luke, the manager, for his outstanding customer service skills. He was attentive, professional, helped me to clarify the charging confusion that I had. It’s rare to come across management that genuinely cares about the customer experience. Highly recommend Madison Pub for a fun night out in Toronto!

5 Star Rating I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint. The pizza was incredible. The sourdough crust was truly an amazing experience on its own. Unlike most pizza I have had in Toronto, it was not burnt on the bottom which made a huge difference to me and I appreciate the attention to detail. The sauce and toppings were perfectly balanced and thoughtfully paired. The service was excellent and even Nonna came to check on us. It has a beautiful family atmosphere. I really enjoyed the vibe and the warmth of the staff. I will definitely be back hungry for more.

5 Star Rating Amazing, amazing place in Old Toronto! We were visiting from SF and wanted to eat good, old fashioned Italian. We discovered this place by accident and thank god we did — it’s an absolutely fabulous place if you’re craving genuine Italian food. Their pasta reminded me of homemade food, and then I realized that Nona (the owner’s mother) was in the kitchen, overlooking the cooking! It felt so great to be loved so much through Nona’s cooking. We also liked their margarita pizza, which is made on their in-house sourdough bread. Nona made sure we had her in-house Nutella biscuit before we left — which was heavenly. Loved the vibe of the place as well — all the servers were friendly and Joe described the food really well and patiently explained all the ingredients to us. We will definitely come back to Bar Mercurio the next time we visit Toronto.

5 Star Rating The service was great! Loved talking to both the wife and husband who are the owners of this small business. I appreciate supporting hard working small business owners! Order a pizza on your first time…especially the “pepperoni”…it’s Jamon Iberico for their pepperoni. The wine list is amazing and they have a fabulous selection by the glass. I stopped in by myself and sat as a single by the bar and it was very comfortable and welcoming. I will definitely be back to eat here on my next work trip to Toronto!

Family-owned place, with Nonna in the kitchen keeping an eye on quality, and owner Joe engaging with guests. Warm, authentic, focused on food rather than trends. Highly recommended!

5 Star Rating We were looking for somewhere nice to eat downtown Toronto for brunch; it can be hard to find a good vegan option. This spot truly blew our expectations! Six of us walked in, and we were shortly brought to a very comfortable booth to sit together. Bo, the manager, was our server for the day. She was so energetic, accommodating, knowledgeable, and engaging. Then when we got all the food and drinks we ordered, we couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything tasted! Coming from two of us who weren’t even vegan or vegetarian, we were thoroughly enjoying everything we had. There was not one complain we could make. From the beginning to end, we had a blast. Thank you Bo and restaurant for a wonderful brunch visiting Toronto!

5 Star Rating WOW. Just WOW. This place absolutely blew us away. The food was next-level—packed with insane flavour, perfectly balanced, and proof that vegan food can be bold, exciting, and seriously addictive. Every bite was better than the last. The experience wouldn’t have been the same without the amazing team. Bo, the manager, is an absolute star—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure you have an unforgettable time. And Natalie, our waitress, was incredible. Her recommendations were flawless and made choosing from the menu so easy (and so worth it). Unreal food, top-tier service, and immaculate vibes. This spot is a must. 5 Star Rating Absolutely my favourite ramen place in toronto! I’ve been here multiple times and I only get spicy charsu ramen. However, the first time I went, the meat was so perfectly cooked and then the other two times they were just average. But overall, it tastes extremely good. The only thing is that the environment is not so aesthetic, but still very clean.

5 Star Rating Dined here on New Year’s eve which was super cold and rainy and this warmed us right up. I’ve always been a big fan of Kenzo’s and I’m glad that this location was consistent with the others I’ve been to. Ramen is flavourful and is a good portion size. Shio is a salt-based broth but not salty, just has a nice umami. King of kings ramen is a very big portion and the spice in the soup warms the belly. I’m a fan of the noodle texture here as it’s not too overcooked and I like that they serve bamboo in the ramen as most places don’t do that anymore. We also ordered the pork katsu on the side which was very crispy and not dry at all. The portion for this was also quite generous.

5 Star Rating I have this restaurant in a very special place in my heart. It has never once disappointed me in terms of quality, portion size, or service. I’m a bit boring and always order the same thing: the rare beef pho. But honestly, why change something that’s good? This is my favorite restaurant in all of Toronto. I usually visit every couple of weeks or at least once a month, and it’s hands down the place that serves my favorite pho in the city. The broth is clean yet rich, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with care. I’ve tried many fancy places, including some with Michelin recognition, and this spot still takes first place for pho in my book. The portions are generous, the prices are amazing, and they even offer alcohol at very reasonable prices. My rare beef pho has been consistently excellent every single time: huge portions, incredible flavor, and amazing quality. This place is also very special to me because whenever I’m feeling sick or a little down, I know I can come here for a comforting bowl of pho that will make me feel better. The owner is an incredibly kind and sweet person who always remembers me when I come back, which makes the experience even more meaningful. He even speaks a bit of Spanish with me and is always in such a great mood. Thank you for your kindness 💛⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4 Star Rating It was a particularly cold winter night and the hankering for warm pho soup hit us when we were near Bloor and St. George. We followed Google's recommendation and went to Vietnam Lovely Noodle. And we were glad that we made that decision. The special pho tasted great, and the soup was very authentic. The laksa noodle had such a savoury curry base, it was flavourful and tangy. The fried springrolls had such a unique taste, they were thoroughly enjoyable. The surprise dish was the stir fried broccoli with garlic. The garlic bits were properly charred and aromatic. What a wonderful local gem!

5 Star Rating Great food and not too expensive! Food - I have not ordered everything from Vietnam Lovely Noodle but I have ordered the Pho and one of the Curries. They are delicious. The portions are pretty large so you get a pretty good ratio between price and food. And if you cant finish you can always get it to go. When I was a student the curry was my go to meal either getting the rice or roti which was absolutely delicious. Food is also good to share with others. Service - Service are great they are kind and last time I was there even gave me free croquettes. Additionally, I would usually wait for a takeout order and they always offered me water and tea. Atmosphere - Atmosphere is good I would not say anything stands out I mean that in the best way. It can get busy but if you avoid peak hours you can catch the restaurant with not too much traffic. Overall - Good food, good price, kind staff.

5 Star Rating I visited Zaad while I was in Toronto, and it was such a wonderful experience. Being from Edmonton, I’m always excited to find new Mediterranean food spots that really stand out — and this one absolutely did. I tried a chicken pita pocket with salad and shawarma chicken, and oh my goodness — it was incredible 🤤. So fresh, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. I also ordered falafel, and it was honestly some of the best I’ve had: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and clearly made fresh to order. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even offered a lentil soup to try, which was such a thoughtful touch and really added to the experience. They also made a traditional flatbread topped with zaatar and veggies, baked fresh — simple, comforting, and so delicious. Even though the place was busy, everything was handled smoothly and we received our food on time. The atmosphere felt like a true local family spot — warm, lively, and full of heart ❤️ Amazing food, generous hospitality, and a place that truly makes you feel welcome. If you’re in Toronto and craving authentic Mediterranean/Arabic food, Zaad is a must-visit. I’d happily come back again. 😊

The platters used to be filled with so much flavour and depth and now it’s bland and lacking so much. This was $20 .. bland. Please scroll to the same shish tawook platter and see the photos. Had grill marks. Chicken was spicy and read and fresh. Had this incredible hot sauce. I’m not sure what they gave me here but it’s barely palatable. Chicken is not seasoned. 2 Star Rating The owner was very nice and I feel terrible writing this review but the food wasn’t nice at all. All the reviews are positive so I thought it would be nice to get while in the area, but the chicken seasoning just tastes like curry almost and the white sauce was not nice. The hot sauce also wasn’t spicy and again just tasted like a bunch of random seasoning mixed. Sorry to have to write this but I couldn’t even finish a quarter I forced myself through a couple bites and threw it out. Portions are very fairly priced though. Not worth it when the foods not good.

5 Star Rating I tried their beef plate loaded with rice and a variety of salad toppings. It was a solid, voluminous plate at a reasonable price. The inside of store is super hot though, so it's better as takeout or eating on their outdoor patio area.

5 Star Rating Yummy and fresh wrapped dumplings. 🥟 delicious 😋! I had the mushroom dumplings and was tasty, I enjoyed their dipping sauce. If you can eat very very spicy, their spicy sauce is fire 🔥 . Service is friendly and speedy.

2 Star Rating Got take out…. Chive dumplings with peanut sauce and the cold noodle with peanut sauce. I had to assemble everything myself, nothing was warm or presentable. They sent old congealed noodles with plastic cups of sauce. This is low grade service and the taste did not make up for their extreme lack of effort. I could have done all of this at home. Save your money for higher quality food and a business that puts care and effort into their product!

5 Star Rating I came here for lunch and ordered the DUMPLING BENTO box . Everything was delicious except the edamame beans were really cold. I wasn’t sure why when everything else was piping hot. the peanut chilli sauce is a must! They even sell merch and frozen dumplings to go. Not a lot of indoor seating, however they do have a few tables outside. The staff were not the friendliest. I first tried this restaurant at the CNE food building. I found it much tastier there. I would definitely return and recommend. They had fresh steamed buns which seemed pretty popular.

5 Star Rating Delicious dumplings for not bad prices. 10 dumplings are around $17. Staff was so kind and funny and charismatic. Got the Classic Shanghai.

5 Star Rating I absolutely love their vegan options; the flavors are fantastic and well-thought-out. What made the visit even better was how accommodating the staff were with my eco-friendly request, they were perfectly happy to put my order into my own reusable container. It’s refreshing to find a place that supports sustainable habits while serving delicious food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for tasty dumplings and great service!
