I’ve been to Madison Avenue Pub a few times for meet-ups, watching soccer, and hanging out with friends—it’s always a good time. The vibe during soccer games is unbeatable, with a lively crowd and plenty of screens. The food is solid—I’ve had the fish and chips, chicken sandwich, and fries, all consistently good. Service is usually great, though it can slow down a bit when it’s really busy, which is fair. Overall, a fun, reliable spot for drinks, classic pub food, and catching the game. Definitely recommend!

The burgers were very good, we order the Classic Pub Burger and the Beyond Burger, they come with fries. It’s a very cool spot to go with your friends or after work. We spent like $30 bucks for one beer and a hamburger with fries, I think is a fair price.
They have trivia nights, and a lot of room for small or big groups.

I went to the Maddy for the second time on Monday night. Both times that I have went, the venue was completely overcrowded, not like the other bars that I go to.
My friends and I decided to go up to the patio to get a breath of fresh air and we really enjoyed our time up there. We all got drinks. I had the cowboy colada & blue Hawaiian. My friends had the love potion, and sour key. We all tried the lime Jell-O shots on special.
Our server, Delaynie, was such a sweetheart. She provided quick and efficient service and had recommendations and suggestions. Since it was past 11pm, my friends and I decided on some half-price appetizers. We tried the spring rolls, Mac and cheese balls & nachos. The food was great for the price and we will definitely be coming back (maybe when it’s less busy? I didn’t expect it to be busy on a Monday night, but I guess St. Patrick’s day brings the business in lol)

Came here for lunch after a class and it was a good time. The place is huge! Lots of space downstairs and upstairs. Many pool tables, juke boxes, slots, and bars to sit by. The beers were cold and smooth. I ordered a burger off the lunch menu and it was only $10!! I was shocked because I also got fries with it, you're not getting a meal at McDonald's with fries for that price, especially if you have to also order a drink like we did for the burger. The burger was decent and definitely better than the average fast food spot. I'd come back to try other things on their menu. I also had a tequila shot which they had decent options for a pub. Overall good experience I'll be back to try more.

Visited Madison Avenue Pub with my school batch mates to have some drinks and watch Maple Leafs match. Amazing pub and they had already opened the upper level patio deck. Too much seating space surrounded by lush green tall trees. We ordered two pitchers, one each Stella Artois and Space Invader. Later we ordered a pint 🍺 and continued to watch the game. On the sides we got Pub Nachos & fries 🍟 along with Fish Taco Trio. Well prepared food and fresh by the chef. Staffs were very friendly and had a good sense of humour. The pub is awesome in terms of low level of noise, quiet neighbourhood and few steps away from TTC Spadina subway station. A hidden gem, will visit soon. Thank you for your service Madison Staff!!!

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. It was our first time. The pizzas are definitely unique, we had 3 for just the 2 of us. Thin crust that's crunchy on the outside and soft once you bite in. We could tell the owner/cook puts a lot of passion into his work with the 72 hour fermented sourdough. We also had their paccheri ai frutti di mare pasta in lobster sauce, which was simply divine! We finished with some house-made panetone and tiramisu that were out of this world. The owner was kind enough to offer us a digestif with dessert! All the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. The ambiance was charming and cozy and we absolutely loved the decor. We highly recommend!

Once again, after returning to Toronto, I visited the restaurant I had been to five months ago. And once again, I’m amazed by the delicious food and the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. This time, I brought my friends, and they were also impressed. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Toronto so I can visit your restaurant again. I’m already drooling 🤤🤤🤤. Thank you, Francesca, Paulo, and Giuseppe – you are the loveliest!!!

On my Humble opinion and newcomers from Italy, the best Italian spot where to find Francesca a true Italian grandmother that will welcome you as no one can ever do. Great tasteful food and friendly service.

Happenstance brought us to Bar Mercurio, and thank goodness it did. What we thought would be just a pre-game snack turned into a full-blown, warm and welcoming dinner experience. If you're craving that feeling of stepping into a cozy café tucked away in Italy, this is it. The atmosphere, the food, and the people were authentic and heartfelt. Especially the people!!
And their not-so-secret weapon? Nona Francesca! For us, she's the heart of the place, and trust me, you’ll feel it in every bite. If you love pizza and enjoy a real-deal Caesar salad, this spot should be at the top of your list. Hands down, it was the best sourdough pizza we've ever had and only later did we find out they've actually been voted the best sour dough pizza in Toronto. Totally deserved. We also had the olives, rigatoni and meatballs. Yum! We left nothing behind. Anything we could not finish came home with us for a midnight snack. Thank you to Nonna and the team! It was the best pre-game dinner we have had and we will to return to enjoy the chaucuterie!

This was my first time trying a vegan restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was very flavourful, healthy (obviously) and packed with lots of protein. I also had the 'hello gorgeous power shake' (not pictured) and this was so delicious! I can't enough of how wonderful everything tasted and will definitely come back!

Today was my second visit to this place (my first time was with a friend and it was overall a great experience). I had high expectations and decided to grab takeout for my picky eater at home. I specifically requested to have the salad dressing on the side, but unfortunately, I didn’t double-check before leaving. Both the hot sauce and tahini sauce were poured over most of the dish, which ended up being too overpowering (oily) for our taste. My hungry picky eater didn’t enjoy it—and neither did my husband, who found the tofu quite salty. On a positive note, the onion rings were better and more enjoyable.

Dined here on New Year’s eve which was super cold and rainy and this warmed us right up. I’ve always been a big fan of Kenzo’s and I’m glad that this location was consistent with the others I’ve been to. Ramen is flavourful and is a good portion size. Shio is a salt-based broth but not salty, just has a nice umami. King of kings ramen is a very big portion and the spice in the soup warms the belly. I’m a fan of the noodle texture here as it’s not too overcooked and I like that they serve bamboo in the ramen as most places don’t do that anymore. We also ordered the pork katsu on the side which was very crispy and not dry at all. The portion for this was also quite generous.
Alexandria L - 5 months ago
One of the best fresh ramen dishes I’ve tasted in Toronto so far! It’s rich, and the taste is unique to Kenzo’s restaurants. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the order arrived at the table in no time. The only downside is that it’s a small space, and there’s sometimes a wait to sit down.

Perfect dish on such a cold night. I got the spicy ramen but the creamy miso ramen was out of this world. Also appreciate that the pork had a smoky taste to it, almost like it was bbqd first. We also had the tofu appetizer and it was also delish

The server I had was so nice and friendly and made me feel as though they were genuinely thrilled I walked in, even though I could see other customers eating. While I was waiting for my food, a delivery driver came in and reached over the glass to show his phone to the same server. The server politely but firmly told him not to cross over the glass to keep the food free of germs. It was a small detail but it gave me confidence that this place cares about freshness of ingredients. Burrito was really yummy too!

Been going here for over 10+ years on and off (started in around 2012 ish), and their burritos always hit the spot when the craving is there
The old man always packs with meat, most of the other employees are generous with toppings and don't skimp, everything is simple no frills service, and burritos are always loaded and delicious
A newer item that has shown up, the cilantro chicken (their chicken with a cilantro/mayo sauce), is my new favourite thing on the menu there
Dergen Mozer - 8 months ago
Excellent service, delicious burritos. Fresh ingredients, good options and menu and for great pricing. The small is pretty big and I had the bean and cheese. I love that they have sweet peppers as a topping...tastes great. Looking forward to trying their new tofu burrito.
The ladies working were pleasant even though I got there close to closing.
I'll be back!

The Mango Chicken Burrito is where it's at!!
Small spot big, flavourful burritos!
Burrito was juicy, filled with enough mango, veggies, and meat that you wouldn't need to order a second one bc the first one didn't fill you up.
Im a fan!
Thanks for the service and the food..both great.

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce, as well as the delicious and crispy fries with garlic sauce. I can understand how the strong smell of vinegar in the boneless chicken with buffalo sauce might have affected your experience. It's also frustrating when a diet drink doesn't meet expectations. I'm sorry to hear that the darkness of the place affected your overall enjoyment. Your feedback is valuable, and I hope your next dining experience is even more enjoyable

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been a great place to get some wings.
I usually get the hot honey garlic wings or the garlic parmesan wings.
This time the family decided to change it up a little. They also got the poutine and the fish and chips. While they liked it, they mentioned they should’ve just stuck to wings.
We had excellent service and would definitely come back again. The kids menu id also great value.

The place is good, the wings were tasty, the server/bartender told us that there will be 8,9 wings but they served only 7 wings, we also ordered sweet potato fries. the quantity was less and including drinks we paid much more.

Came here with a buddy of mine, one of the best experiences I’ve had at a St. Louis. They had a deal on for All You Can Eat Boneless Wings for 20.99. Bud Light Devils size for 6.99. Amazing deals and prices for a nice little atmosphere. Staff were very attentive to drinks and orders and always checked up on us. Multiple TV’s around the bar and a great atmosphere when a Toronto team is playing. Wings were delicious and beers were nice and cold. I would recommend this place for drinks after work and on weekends!

Discovered By the Way recently and I am in love!! New to the Annex and will definitely be returning soon! Despite the restaurant having only 2 open tables (Friday lunch rush, as expected) we were welcomed with open arms and were served promptly. The service was wonderful, our waitress was so sweet and so attentive. I would return for the service alone! The food - oh my god I don’t have words!! The food was fresh and hot and every bite tasted amazing! Loved the vibe and the food here, I will absolutely be back soon!

The food was disappointing. I ordered the kufta kebab, and some parts of the meat were overcooked and burnt, which made it less enjoyable. The flavor was also lacking. My friend had a burger, which was also slightly burnt, but she didn’t mind as much—she said hers was “ok”. The service was decent; while our main waiter wasn’t very friendly, the other two were more pleasant. The atmosphere, however, was cozy and chill. Overall, I wouldn’t return, especially since the price didn’t reflect the quality of the dishes we had.

We were here on Tuesday May 13. Tuesdays are usually slow but when it suddenly started to rain hard, people came rushing into the restaurant and it was instantly full. Zoe, the only server on duty, managed to triple as a bartender and bus person as well. She remained calm, efficient and charming. Everyone ate at once and left at once. The food was delicious. Everyone was happy. Zoe is amazing. By The Way is terrific.

Just enjoyed the kale halloumi salad with added tofu - plentiful, healthy and delicious, especially with the homemade hot sauce on the side. The indoor atmosphere is quite comfortable with a cute patio option. If it weren’t such a humid day, I’d have sat outside. The servers were kind and attentive.

First time here and I’ll definitely be returning soon. I’m a Muslim and even though they don’t have halal food, they accommodated me and offered recommendations and double checked everything before giving it to me. We got shrimp rolls, fish cakes and seafood laksa. They have quite a few seafood and vegetarian options to pick from. Portion size was good for the price. The food tasted really good and the seafood tasted nice and fresh. The person waiting us was named Su and he was very nice, warm and welcoming. He made sure to check in on us every so often which was sweet. He even gave us two free dishes (vegetarian) which he didn’t have to but he did🥹. Will be returning soon!

I had a lovely experience at Vietnam Lovely Noodle!
We ordered:

- Chicken Skewers (9/10 - very well seasoned and juicy)
- Small Raw Beef Pho (10/10 - super good and a great portion for the price!)

This place was such a great surprise to me. Originally I just wanted to grab a quick meal, but I ended up staying longer because I liked the cozy spot I was offered - warm lighting, classic wood furniture, and the free fried shrimp chip. I enjoyed the grilled pork neck with plain steamed rice 🍚 The grilled pork was the flavor I expected and the pickle radish balanced the richness of the meat so well with its tangy and zesty kick. I liked it so much that I asked the owner for more radish, and he generously gave me a full portion of them for free! That little gesture really made my dinning experience even better 👍

If you’re after a straightforward, budget-friendly meal, this spot fits the bill. Beyond Vietnamese fare, they offer a variety of Southeast Asian dishes. While the cuisine isn’t extravagant, it satisfies cravings without breaking the bank. We sampled the Grilled Chicken Salad, Shrimp Cold Rolls, and Singapore Noodles. The salad was essentially grilled chicken atop shredded iceberg lettuce, dressed simply with fish sauce—uncomplicated yet surprisingly tasty. The cold rolls were average, but the Singapore noodles stood out as particularly delicious.
Angela A. - 3 months ago
They have vegetable noodles soup and veggies soup based options. Good for vegetarian and vegan. Large bowl is good enough. The fresh rolls were pretty small and a lil bit pricey in my opinion.
The restaurant is in medium sized. They have hooks on the wall so that you can hook your jackets or bags on. This is good and convenient to the customers especially in winter.
They also provided free snack for each table (shrimp crisps). They are doing promotions like if you pay in cash you can get a free snack/drink of your choice and there are some specific items that you can get it for $1 for the second order.

I love little Japanese restaurants that look like this, because even if the food is average, the atmosphere way makes up for it. That being said, the food was good and well worth it for the lunch special (all under $20), but of course for that price you can't expect an extravagant meal. The hot udon broth hit the spot and the sushi rolls were all well stuffed and proportioned. As well, the staff/owners were very cute and friendly.

Good food, friendly staff. I accidentally ordered a huuuge container of their Zaad sauce instead of a little cup! The moussaka is delicious, as is the Greek salad -- although I was surprised at the lack of feta. The baba has excellent flavor, but the texture is less chunky than I'm used to. Would order here again.
