5 Star Rating The food tasted great!! The prime rib was very tender (we ordered medium rare), however was a little bit too salty for my liking. Service was awesome. The mains took a while but it was understandable as it was peak dinner hours (7:30pm). One thing worth noting was we were brought to the corner at the back but our waiter was really attentive so that didn’t turn out to be a huge problem. Would definitely come back again!

4 Star Rating For appetizers, we ordered shrimp, and it was much tastier than I expected. Honestly, it was so good that I even forgot to take a photo of it. I ordered a steak, which in my opinion was just average because it didn’t have a special flavor. The meat quality was good and tender, but it lacked taste. Some steaks are really rich and flavorful, but this one wasn’t very flavorful to me. We also ordered lobster, but since I didn’t eat it myself, I can’t really comment on it. Another point is that, unlike some places where food arrives cold, here the food came to the table really hot, and I really appreciated that. I really liked the restaurant’s atmosphere. It was very spacious with a variety of seating arrangements and layouts, which I enjoyed a lot.

5 Star Rating Very nice restaurant for steak fine dinner. We made a reservation at 6:45pm two days ago and were seated immediately upon arrival. The waitress was very nice, welcoming and helpful. We asked for suggestions of red wine to go with our steak dinner. She suggested local red wine, which turned out very good. We ordered four prime ribs, three medium rare and one medium, and the cooking was just good. The meat was very tendered and juicy. It was a very nice dinning experience. For a bottle of red wine, two appetizers, and four prime rids, we only paid less than $400. Highly recommended.

5 Star Rating Table for 8 and tried the 8oz sirloin with a lobster, it was great! Lobster was a bit on the smaller portion, but was flavourful. Steak was cooked well and tender. Got to try three different dessert. Crème brûlée, definitely the go to. The cheesecake, probably skip this. The miller cake, can be for 2-3 people and worth it. Great service and definitely a solid consistent chain restaurant.

5 Star Rating We had a wonderful evening at The Keg. The quality of the meat and the cooking were exactly what we expected and the reason we chose to dine there in the first place. I was pleasantly surprised by the wine prices as well — very reasonable and a great addition to the experience. The food was delicious, the service was courteous and attentive, and everything felt seamless from start to finish. Truly a great night out. Everything was perfect, as always.

3 Star Rating Okay, I know it’s not groundbreaking, but it is Canada, and Timmy’s hits the spot every time. Okay, yes, it’s a Canadian classic, but it really does hit the spot. We grabbed coffee and donuts more than once, and it was always affordable and reliable. Some locations had a few characters hanging around, but hey, that’s city life. Still totally worth it for the iced coffee and old-fashioned donuts.

3 Star Rating Whoa, this place is an absolute zoo on game night! We arrived at prime time (6 p.m.) before a 7 p.m. Leafs game, and there were lineups everywhere. It wasn’t immediately clear where we were supposed to stand, but once staff connected with us, they moved quickly and got us seated faster than we expected. The atmosphere is fast-paced, loud, and energetic; definitely game-night vibes. The décor is trendy, with Rolling Stones magazine covers and album art lining the walls. It feels lively and modern. Space is tight, though. We had to squeeze our way past other tables, which felt a little chaotic. That said, they absolutely nailed the timing. We told them we needed to eat quickly before heading to the game, and they had us in and out in 45 minutes. It’s only about a 7-minute walk to the arena, which is super convenient. Our food arrived quickly, which was impressive. However, we barely saw our server after ordering. Our table was missing basics like salt, pepper, and vinegar, and we had to flag down other staff to get them. By the time everything arrived, our fries were cold (and I’m definitely someone who likes hot fries.) If you’re heading there before a game, I’d strongly suggest looking at the menu ahead of time or while you’re waiting for your table. Having our order ready definitely helped speed things up. The spinach dip was disappointing. We expected something thick and cheesy, but it was quite watery and came with only a small handful of chips; there was far more dip than chips. A tiny sprinkle of feta on top didn’t add much. At over $20, it felt very overpriced, and I wouldn’t order it again. Overall, the food was just “okay” but filling. For four people: one Coke, one iced tea, four handheld sandwiches, and two appetizers; the bill was close to $175. For the value, and considering how many other restaurant options there are nearby, I’m not sure we’d choose to return. I was impressed by the speed of service in terms of food timing, but that was the highlight. Also worth noting: this location is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs at the entry, and the bathrooms are downstairs.

5 Star Rating Great atmosphere with super lively Christmas decor! Our server lady was friendly and thoughtful. Adult meal took sometime to arrive but kids meal arrived quickly which I appreciate. Lobster poutine was absolutely delicious. I also ordered wings with coconut Thai curry sauce. The wings were not just with the curry sauce on the side but also was tossed with the curry powder. Without dipping the sauce it was already flavourful which made their wings tasty and unique. We only could find the main entrance with stairs so we had to pick up the stroller to go up and down. Overall experience was absolutely wonderful, we will go there again.

5 Star Rating This place is great for a quick bite and stop before a game. Got the Buffalo wings as an app and it didn't disappoint. Great flavor and decent size. We wanted to order more, but we had a burger coming. I got it with of side of smashed potatoes. As the name says it, it was definitely smashed and so good with the caramelized onions and green onions on top. Better than I expect. The burger was huge and filling. I'd say a bit over cooked as it seemed a little dry for my tastes, but overall with the toppings it was still pretty good. Love the little fried onion strings on the burger too! On top of that I had to get the Mango fish bowl for a drink and it was delish! Glad to see the atmosphere was still quite lively. Ill definitely be back. And I also look forward to when their patio opens up in the summer. Also as a side note, there was something very strange with their black paper straws. Each time we got a drink, we had to remove them. Overall great place and I'm be back!

4 Star Rating We dined here after a Leafs game, it was a very pleasant experience with great food and love the atmosphere. I ordered the Chicken Parm and side salad, and while the quality of the food was genuinely good—it was delicious and well-prepared—I felt the portion size wasn't adequate, especially given the price point. The restaurant's standout feature was the ambiance. The Christmas decorations were lovely, and the overall vibes were nice and welcoming. Everything about the decor contributed to a great setting. However, the main area for improvement was the service. Our server was minimal at best and very inattentive. We barely saw him throughout the meal, and it was difficult to get drink refill. While the food was good enough to offset some of the frustration, the lack of attentiveness definitely took away from the overall experience. In summary, delicious food and a wonderful, festive atmosphere. I would recommend it for the quality of the meal and the decorations alone, but focus on improving the attentiveness of the wait staff and. 4/5 stars.

4 Star Rating We were seated quickly thanks to our reservation, and the bacon cheeseburger with Caesar salad was good in both quality and portion. Unfortunately, the Fiesta salad with chicken was disappointing, the salad didn’t feel fresh and the chicken was very dry. The guacamole was fresh but felt unfinished, more like ingredients to assemble ourselves. Compared to the price, there are better options in the same area. That said, our server was very friendly and polite, she spoke with the manager to remove the salad from the bill, which we really appreciated. Overall: good service and ambiance, but food quality ranged from average to poor.

4 Star Rating Volos Greek Cuisine is one of my favorite downtown spots in Toronto for having a dinner that will surely impress your date, business partner or family. The atmosphere is a mix of traditional Greek styling with a modern twist, the Volos is easily one of my favorite spots in downtown Toronto. If you need to impress a date or client, this is the place. The decor is a great mix of modern and traditional, and the service is excellent. The food is outstanding—the steak was cooked to perfection, and the grilled octopus was fantastic. However, the service logistics could be better. Many dishes are meant for sharing, yet we were given regular spoons instead of proper serving utensils. Also, the saganaki needs a much larger portion of bread to go with it!

5 Star Rating Everything was excellent. We had the grilled octopus and tzatziki and one other dip as an appetizer and it was amazing, especially with pita and olive oil. The lamb shanks were also amazing. I would say the lamb shank was the best we've had, which is saying a lot because we ate at a lot of traditional restaurants in Crete and Athens. The desserts were also really good. I had the Greek yogurt which was great, because I don't eat sweets, so I usually skip dessert altogether. Our server Celine was very friendly and provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend Volos. I can say for Greek cuisine this is the only real option downtown.

5 Star Rating Visited for Valentine’s Day and I cannot begin to describe how wonderful our night was. Despite it being a very busy night, our server Jason was attentive and friendly and communicative with us about the status of our meal. He definitely made our night much more enjoyable with his service! The food was absolutely delicious, the wild mushroom pappardelle is all I’ve been thinking about since that night. When our food was taking a while to come out we were even offered free dessert and a glass of dessert wine as compensation, we didn’t mind waiting on a busy night but this was such a nice gesture regardless. My partner and I had a pretty bad experience with a restaurant on Valentine’s Day last year so coming to Little Anthony’s this time was a breath of fresh air. We will definitely be coming back!! :)

5 Star Rating Little Anthony's lives up to its online reviews. The tuna tartare is fresh and beautifully seasoned; Anthony's salad is basically a burrata dish; the pasta is very al dente (the lamb ragu deserves a special shout-out, as does the mushroom papardelle); and the hazelnut gelato was smooth and fragrant. This is a lovely choice for any special occasion.

4 Star Rating Had my first experience dining at canoe yesterday. We went for winterlicious because we thought that was actually a good deal relative to the prices of the original menu. On the winterlicious menu we got the beef tartare, the Alberta beef and I got the chocolate tart and my partner got the pudding. What I will say is the food is good, it was tasty, but also factoring the price in mind I was not AMAZED. But it was good. Also service was good, but also not amazing, the hospitality didn’t feel the warmest but not bad by any means. The beef tartare had a good amount of beef, it was a little bit salty but overall pretty good. I thought the Alberta beef was pretty good too, the mashed potatoes were very creamy and soft and I enjoyed the subtle taste of truffle. For sure get the medium rare and not the medium. I got a medium and it was kind of well done. For dessert I loved the taste of the orange in the chocolate but I do feel like the dessert itself was a bit hard. The view and atmosphere was amazing. Views are great especially during sunset.

3 Star Rating Came here for winterlicious. It's located on 54th floor at TD Centre, no doubt the view and the set up was stunning but the food and service were way below. I don't know if it's because of winterlicious but the whole experience left much to be desired. Food was ok but not memorable. I liked the beef tartare and pork terrine. Didn't like the Alberta beef, except the sauce Diane was good. Salmon was pretty standard. Chocolate tart was good, pavlova was very small. In general the portions were quite small for us in my opinion, we had to order some bread and fries to complete our meal on top of the set menu. Maybe having the tasting menu will be better experience than having winterlicious. Service was efficient but impersonal, as it was previously mentioned by other reviewers, there was little sense of hospitality. The overall experience didn't meet the expectations of a fine dining establishment.

3 Star Rating Winterlicious Review I recently dined at Canoe for Winterlicious and overall had a decent experience, but with several misses that would make me think twice before returning, especially if seated in the same area again. The food was generally tasty and met most of my expectations. The chocolate tart, while rich and enjoyable, felt quite heavy on its own; a simple scoop of ice cream would have gone a long way in balancing the dish, much like what Daniel Boulud does with many of his desserts. That small addition could have elevated the dessert from good to memorable. The beet salad, on the other hand, was underwhelming. It was fairly basic with minimal ingredients and didn’t bring anything particularly exciting in terms of flavour or texture. My main, the crispy pork belly, showcased the meat nicely and it was clearly the star of the plate. However, the supporting elements on the dish didn’t provide enough contrast or freshness to cut through the greasiness, which made the overall plate feel a bit one-dimensional.Service was another area that fell short. While our server did check in to ask if everything was okay, the interaction felt very transactional and robotic. It seemed like she was too busy to genuinely stop and listen, which detracted from the hospitality aspect of the meal. I do recognize that Winterlicious service can be hectic, but even brief moments of authentic engagement go a long way at this level of dining. My biggest concern, though, was the environment at our table. There appears to be a felt-woven ceiling feature above the dining area, and throughout the meal dust was visibly accumulating on our table and, worse, dropping into our drinks and food over time. This is a serious turnoff in any restaurant, let alone one that trades heavily on its premium image and stunning 54th-floor views. As it stands, I would not return if I knew I’d be seated in that section again, which is unfortunate because the view over the city is one of Canoe’s biggest draws. In summary, Canoe delivered on flavour in parts, but the combination of underwhelming supporting dishes, robotic service, and a noticeably dusty dining environment made the experience fall short of what I would expect from a restaurant of this calibre

5 Star Rating We had lunch at Canoe Restaurant, located on the 54th floor of TD Tower. The restaurant is known for its sweeping views of downtown Toronto, though on the winter day we visited it was quite cloudy, so the scenery was somewhat muted. The atmosphere was fairly formal and seemed to cater mainly to the executive crowd working in the downtown core. Service was friendly and professional, though a little rushed at times. We ordered the lunch prix fixe menu. For appetizers, we tried the stracciatella, and I especially enjoyed the roasted grapes, which added a lovely sweetness. I would highly recommend the smoked trout tartare—it was fresh, flavourful. For mains, the Atlantic salmon was good but nothing particularly memorable, while the confit duck leg was savoury but slightly dry. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch experience. Canoe is a great place to take in views of downtown Toronto from above—especially when the weather cooperates—and offers good food in an elegant setting.

5 Star Rating I took my mom to Canoe for her Birthday in December. It was absolutely a phenomenal experience. I booked an early time as their website said window seats fill up quick. I also made sure to indicate it was her birthday on the booking. They had a cute little sign on the table for her. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. When they brought the food to the table the explained the plate. The portion sizes were perfect. It's quality over quality at this place and after reading some of the other reviews it was clear some people didn't bother to review the menu or site before booking. An appetizer and entree filled us up and we split a desert. It was slightly more casual than I expected but again that ranged from table to table. Some tables were in suit and tie and some had people with hoodies. That didn't affect my dining experience though. Overall HIGHLY recommend to treat yourself or someone else.

4 Star Rating Great place to grab a bite before a game. Atmosphere is fun, a little loud but proximity to stadiums it's a good place to eat and get excited to watch a game or concert. I had dinner with me son and it was pretty good. My son had the fish and chips, little pricey for a one piece but it was good and worth the money, very thin batter which was great. I had the bacon cheese burger and it was very enjoyable, great flavour, good size. Had a side of the hot sauce for dipping my fries and the sauce was delicious. Service was fast and friendly and the washroom was clean. Been here many times over the years and will be back again.

It felt relaxed and lively without being overwhelming. The food was good overall, though the fries were not my favourite and did not taste like they were fried to order. I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. My eyes were hungrier than my stomach, but with the help of our lovely server (I forgot to ask her name — she had blonde hair and black-framed glasses), she recommended that I order the flight of pies. It was delicious, and for someone who loves savory pies, it was a hit. We also ordered a few apps — the sausage roll and feta dip — ending with a brownie for dessert. Overall, I would definitely come back. The customer service and vibe were on point.

4 Star Rating Came here for dinner before a show, made reservations in advance and thank goodness we did, because it was packed! This isn't the first time we have been here for pre/post show meals so I'll start by saying that we've had a pleasant experience each time. For our most recent visit: Service: we were running late for our 5.15 reservation, I received text notifications about our table and was able to reply we were on our way. Made it just before 5.30 and they held our table for us :) our server was attentive, no complains there. Food: usually I go for the shepherds pie, but this time I decided to try the leek and potato pie.. the side salad used to be bigger compared to what I got with my pie.. and the pie itself I thought could use a bit more seasoning. Overall just okay. My hubby ordered the slum dog which is his go-to dish here which he enjoyed. We also ordered a brownie to share and it was a pretty big portion, good thing we decided to share 😂. Atmosphere: it's loud in here but that is to be expected. Lots of tvs playing various sports.

5 Star Rating Very large space, we reserved just to make sure we had a table. There is no parking at the restaurant but there are maybe paid parking lots in the area. They have some authentic English dishes and the usual pub fare. We had tried their hamburger, steak pie, Reuben sandwich. All were tasty! Service was fast considering how busy they were.

4 Star Rating For those looking for a pub with a distinctly English vibe, good beer and food options, all in Downtown, the Elephant is definitely a good choice. The pub has excellent access via the Yellow and Green Metro lines, depending on your area, and is also right across from the King Street streetcar lines. The pub is located in one of the city's historic buildings and exudes elegance. It has three areas: a patio area for spring and summer and a pet-friendly area, the main dining room, and the first-floor dining room. They have a main entrance on King Street, which features a staircase, and an entrance on Simcoe Street, which has a swinging door and ample space for disabled patrons and those using wheelchairs, walkers, or canes. And speaking of accessibility, the ground floor restrooms are adapted for disabled guests, with grab bars and spring-loaded doors. Unfortunately, they don't have a Braille menu, but they are always ready to assist. I've visited most of the time during St. Patrick's Day, and they have a great vibe and excellent customer service. Everything is decorated to introduce you to the culture. The pub's menu is excellent, with good options and well-prepared dishes. The prices are not far from other pubs in the area. The service is friendly and attentive. It's worth a visit.

5 Star Rating Last week I was in Toronto for business and stopped here for lunch. My colleague and I were seated in the bar area in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant, overall, was very clean and tidy, including the restrooms. I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie with a side Caesar salad and a bowl of the Ale and Onion soup. The food came out hot and was very good. The bartender was busy waiting on a table of 10, but was still attentive to our table and made sure we were taken care of. I would definitely come here again the next time I am in Toronto!

5 Star Rating Came here for my birthday, was not disappointed! We particularly love the scallops and their salmon here, melts in your mouth, feels really fresh and taste quite a bit nicer than your average sushi place. And of course with great quality and service comes a greater price tag, more on the pricier side, but not outrageously expensive. We sat on the floating sushi boat bar, and the quality of the sushi is still very good, despite not being made right out from the kitchen, still tasted fresh. Also tried the Udon and wasn’t disappointed, the broth especially smells really nice. Would definitely come back on special occasions!

5 Star Rating The service and quality of the food we received was great. It was a little on the pricier side but worth it. The experience was great especially seeing their rotating sushi boat system. I would highly recommend this place if you want fast service and quality food.

4 Star Rating Quite an expensive place. But it’s a fun experience to sit around a turning table full of boats on water carrying sushi. They also have a menu where you can order more expensive items like the fatty tuna. The fatty tuna sushi is quite nice, but the sashimi is not that fat. Meaning it’s a lower quality cut of the tuna.

4 Star Rating Fun experience with decent sushi but lacking in that wow factor for the price. You are paying a premium for the experience of having one of, if not, the only conveyor belt boat sushi restaurant experiences in Toronto. Service was satisfactory and attentive but expected for the price. Sushi variety was average with some exotic options and a range of drink and sake selections at all price points. Each plate is between $4.50 to $8.50 for two pieces, on average. Higher priced items like uni are also available. The uni was tasty enough but not from Japanese waters. I would return annually for the floating boat (Fune) experience, not for the price or quality of fish.

5 Star Rating For sushi that's high quality and consistently good, come here. The floating sushi bar is cool and the selection that comes around is great. And if you want something that doesn't float on by, just order it off the menu. Service here has always been great during all my visits. The waitresses are prompt and attentive and the food comes out quickly. Prices here are reasonable too considering the quality you're getting. This isn't your all-you-can-eat quality here. Overall, one of the best sushi options in the city in my opinion. And considering this place has been around since the early 90s, others must think so too.
