Karine's is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Located in the Village by the Grange food court and run by an absolutely delightful mother and daughter, they serve a variety of fresh brunch options. Every plate is vibrant with fresh and nicely prepared fruit. I'm a big fan of their combo that comes with hummus and bomba — they both taste so good, and the pita chips that come with it are the perfect texture. I'd highly recommend Karine's, both for the fresh and delicious food as well as some of the best customer service in the city.

Wow!! Where do I start, the experience was amazing start to finish! Make sure to dine in! Dont be fooled by the old-school food court vibe! Your table we be cleaned and then decorated. I will definitely be back! The food was vibrant, fresh and delicious! We ordered 3 meals all Vegan items and we ate every bite!

Wow, we lucked out stumbling into this place! Gluten free crepes!! The owners/employees have fantastic customer service. They're doing what they love and it absolutely shows. There is attention to detail in every aspect of their food prep and service from decorative flowers to fresh fruit with every plate. I love it here.

The food was good, although the bennedict sauce was too sour for me. I enjoyed that I had not only a salad accompanying the eggs but also some fruit. I didn't expect it wasn't a separate diner/restaurant but a food court experience. Nevertheless, good service👍

Almost 40 years in business Joanna and Jeanette grew up in their parents restaurant which they now call theirs. It’s so awesome. Like the Jewish deli these old school spots are getting harder to find and need our support. I love Hakka food and their dry chili chicken is bomb! Then again all the food is super delicious. I love a good sizzling plate and don’t hate me but won ton skins and red sauce rock! Have a visit and show a little support for the ones who have lasted so long.

Extremely lackluster chili chicken. The chicken pieces are not marinated in anything. Swimming in bland gravy. Not good Hakka. The hot sauce provided is weak and overly salty. No pickled chili. Their only “hakka” items on the menu are the chili Chicken, chicken pakora, and the Manchurian chicken. Everything else is just regular Cantonese restaurant fare. This place is NOT Hakka. Its basically just a Cantonese restaurant.

Delicious, huge portions per plate, mine was $15 braised beef with veggies. Can request for extra veggies for an extra fee of $3. Busy during lunch time bet 11:30am-1pm. I went at 2pm to dine in then also ordered take out. I am always satisfied every time I visit.

This is the one of the first Hakka restaurants in Toronto. They have the best chili chicken. Haven’t been here in a very long time. Was in TO and decided to drop by. The food is still top notch and the chili chicken what it’s suppose to be. Lots of Hakka places around but they do chili chicken different. This is the original. Portion is good and the prices still reasonable. They make Hakka dishes not on the menu and it’s as good as I rember.

A downtown surprise! Never knew it was there, they should consider having a sign outside so people know about it when they walk by. Upstairs restaurant, larger than expected, decor is dated. Delicious, authentic Hakka food - we tried the Cantonese chow mein and crispy beef (a must try). Generous portions.

Amazing selection of European beers, well above pub grade food. The bratwurst sausage with gravy was yummy. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, quick and friendly. Will come again!

We used to come quite often. The sushi was varied, wonderfully tasty and presented beautifully. We came several times for the Omakase - but would ask in advance for just fish and vegetarian - no other seafood, shellfish, etc., In the past, the restaurant was very accommodating and the meal was a wonderful experience - unique and artistic. We went back recently - with a week's advance notice about dietary restrictions - and they agreed. When we showed up, we couldn't eat half the dishes that were brought to us, even though we had gone over a list in advance. The dishes we could eat were decent but not particularly artistic or inventive. The cost was super high and we were still charged full freight even though we couldn't eat several dishes. It may still be fine to order regular sushi dishes (the sushi was fine - tasty and fresh) but this Omakase experience was nowhere near what it used to be and was not really worth the cost. Not sure I'm running to go back even though it used to be one of my favourite sushi places in the area.

Super tiny, squishy restaurant but the food is delicious. The deluxe chirashi was amazing and had the freshest fish I've had in a while, and the rice was perfectly warm and seasoned. I'd like to come back for lunch next time!

4.2/5 Tried the medium Sushi & Maki platter this time. The quality is decent for the price and of a generous size. The restaurant is quite small and crammed so we typically order takeout and enjoy their food at home. Definitely a filling meal! — Review from 2022 We ordered the Chirashi Supreme as takeout. The fish was fresh and the donburi bowl was filled with many bits of flavours. My only critique would be that the quality of rice could be better, but otherwise, nice place to stop by for a treat! The food goes well with a cold bottle of sake.

Service is lacking. It used to be better. Not sure if the management changed but the food quality and service is going downhill. I had sushi #2 lunch special($26) and thought it wasn’t worth the price. It was mediocre and the fish was little on the dry side. Not likely to come back.

I did not like sushi before eating here. But here, every piece of sashimi tasted fresh and unique. Sometimes with bad sashimi you get this awful texture but the sashimi here all had very pleasant textures. Ordered the chirashi bowl, sashimi set and a sushi set. I enjoyed the hamachi and tuna the most. The sushi rice is cooked perfectly. Also really liked their salad dressing, it has a strong sesame taste. The place is very small with seating super close to the next table. People can be loud.

Came here with my coworkers for lunch. Excellent service, Mamun was very accommodating for our group of 20+ people. Food was great for the price- my favourite was the chicken chili and mushroom. Naan bread was fantastic and freshly made. Atmosphere was cozy with nice furniture and tasteful instrumental music. Would highly recommend for a peaceful and tasty lunch!

Wonderful food. Had gone with a gang of girls. Mamun and his team did a last moment entry for us for the buffet. Loved the service, hot naan,hot gulab jamun, not to miss the array of delicious Indian food. Goat curry, chole,papri chaat,butter chicken, paneer pasanda,..... Dil kush kardia. Definitely a must visit for buffet.

Absolutely stunning intimate atmosphere. If you ever wanted to experience authentic/traditional Indian fine dining, look no further as this place offers it all. The owner was literally checking in on me every 10 min. Thank you for making my evening so memorable and I will be back very soon!!!!

We had this place recommended to us and decided to try the lunch buffet. The selection was great and the food was solid. The tandoori chicken and the chana were my favorites, but the butter chicken and the paneer were just missing a certain something. The gulab jamun was the best I've ever eaten though, and the workers there were great. They made a couple of dishes especially for us separate from the buffet

We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Butter chicken, naan and samosas. Everything was delicious. One down side would be that they didn't give us cutlery or napkins when it was ordered as takeout.

We stopped there for breakfast this morning. The food was great and the place was very clean. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We actually got to chat with Melissa the owner for awhile and she gave us some great recommendations of things to do while we were visiting Toronto.

Made a pit stop at this local cafe and had breakfast, which hit the spot. Had the Americano and morning glory muffin and both exceeded my expectations. My sister had the breakfast veggie burrito and said it was super tasty. Will be adding this to my morning stops the next time I’m in Toronto for work.

Went this morning with an older friend. Was just after 10:00am, so they only had a handful of breakfast items left. My friend wasn't keen on those, so she opted for the egg salad sandwich on a dark rye bread. It came with a generous amount of mixed greens salad on a plate. I had a panini bun with several types of cold cuts in it. This also came with a mixed greens salad on the plate. We both ordered single shots Americano coffee, which I found quite strong. While we both enjoyed what we had, I was a little shocked to pay $14 and change for my coffee and sandwich plate. That alone would keep me from going back.

I personally enjoy coming here for a coffee break mid-day. Depending on what time of day you drop by, it can get busy. The coffees and Americanos are pretty good. The vibe and ambiance is nice and soothing. It’s generally very calm, and the staff are so kind and friendly. Nice place to catch up with colleagues or meet with friends, or even to fit in a quick focus session.

Had a nice breakfast before heading out for a busy weekend. Don't know if she is the owner, but had a super lovely lady serve us. Place was spacious, chill, quiet and had a great selection of drinks and breakfast options too. I liked that the credit card machine didn't ask for separate tips upon paying. Food was good. Would go often if it were closer to me.

Often come here when I’m running late for school and need a quick bite in the morning. Their service is fast and their bagel sandwiches are delicious — always made with ingredients that feel extremely fresh. The people there are very nice and friendly too!

Go to spot after visiting the AGO. The Bianca pizza is the specialty, they prepare it fresh in 8 minutes after order. The interior decor is excellent and is pretty clean, but there was some pizza sauce that was left on the table when we came😔...

The workers were energetic and have a nice connection with regulars. The atmosphere is above par-ish and comfortable, also well lit. The pizza was absolutely excellent and was prepared with haste. This place deserves all the support that comes to them as they spread their love in the form of pizza.

Pizza is always fresh here and Layia and Mini are the best. Those two ladies deserve a raise because they always treat me well. Let's not forget Reneesh, always has a smile and great personality. This location is a success due to loyal committed employees like these.

i would suggest not making any rude comments when you don’t have any clue who the person picking up a pizza is. i ordered party sized pizzas online and asked if they could call to let me know when it is ready. being on a time constraint i decided to walk over and grab them a bit early cause they said it would be done in 10 mins, and over hear one of the employees saying to another very clearly about me “why should i call her back for the pizzas? that’s too much service to do.” let me remind you i ordered large not something tiny. a little goes a long way and that comment left me feeling bitter about the service i received. do better about how you talk about people especially if you’re trying to make money from it.

This spot is GREAT!!! The vibe is unique and this is a fun place to be on a lively night in the city. The menu is large and the food was delicious. You can order many platters for the table and share with a large group of friends or family! Staff was friendly but it was very busy when we went so things were a little slow but overall still a great time. Highly recommend you visit here!

One of the best Izakaya spots downtown. Their sashimi mix was delicious, they used very good fish. Their torched salmon sushi was also fantastic. We also got their half dried horse mackerel grilled fish, one of the best in Toronto. The skin is nice and crispy while the meat is still soft and fatty, it was not very salty. Highly recommend this place, the atmosphere is amazing.
