The food here is usually great, rarely is something not good. We got the coconut shrimp & chicken soup and the pho with beef (rare) and some salad roles! They are also one of the few spots to carry Jumex (a delicious Mexican juice brand).
Prices are reasonable and the location is pretty spacious with a good amount of seating and a good view towards the street. Service could be a little friendlier overall.

With multiple locations across dt, Ginger is usually a reliable option for classic Vietnamese dishes.
The food may not blow you away, but it's consistent, tasty, and hits the spot. Their fried spring rolls are a must try and imo, the best item on their menu and some of the best in the city.
Staff at this location is friendly and their menu is reasonably priced.

It thought the broth was very flavourful for it being vegetarian pho. Also, the veggies were fresh and plentiful and I liked that it wasn’t too oily. It was a very satisfying meal during winter.

Ginger on Church consistently delivers delicious Vietnamese food for an affordable price. I like to get take out from this location over Ginger on Yonge as I'm not a fan of the taste of the food from the Yonge Street location.
I like to get a few items on the menu like
The Special Pho which comes with rare beef, well done beef, beef balls, ox tail and boiled chicken - WOW, so much meat!
The Grilled Chicken Pho. The chicken is so flavourful.
The Avocado or Mango smoothies.
I prefer to get takeout and reheat the broth when I get home.
The staff are always smiling and seem to have fun together.
The restaurant itself is a classic pho restaurant in terms of decor and atmosphere.

Classic fancy style. Good meal. Not perfect. Went for Valentine's Day dinner and it was quite nice.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Toronto! Food is 10/10 the service 10/10. I have been here twice and each time was perfection! The food here is amazing. The server by far the best I’ve had! The do not have garlic bread and I asked for fresh garlic to put on the bread and the server brought out the most fresh and delicious garlic spread I’ve ever had. The lamb was perfection and the shrimp pasta is my favourite! Definitely recommend!

If you want a great steak and great service this is the place to be. Place is quaint and relaxing. Love the attention to detail that staff has implemented. Min the co-owner/waiter is especially wonderful. He catered to my wife’s bday. OMG! The French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had! Steaks are made to perfection. Cocktails are superior. Wine selection is perfect. Crème brûlée is the bomb. When I come back to Toronto, I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Min for the great service and experience . I’ll never forget it! You made us feel like we’re home. Salud!

Food was delicious - peppercorn filet mignon to die for. Great service. I might suggest a redecorate - 80s style decor is confusing with the 40s music playing and the period paintings. The name too..."Bumpkins" I wouldn't really associate with a fine steak. I hope they're getting the business they deserve, had a great time

October 2023: Sunday dinner & craving pizza. Ordered delivery for 10 hot chicken wings, a Deluxe and the Napoletana (it has anchovies*.) * Hard to find these days.
Delivery was quick & polite, the pizzas were delicious & the wings were moist with just enough kick.
Nice of them to include a complimentary jar of their sauce in celebration of their 60th anniversary.

Previously: I weep for this generation as they will never have the pleasure of biting into a Pizza Nova veal sandwich of old. If it weren't for the bread, sauce and add ons of cheese, onions and mushrooms well, just see the pic. You get a thin piece of je ne sais quoi.
The Hawaiian slice was crisp and tasty, the Staff pleasant but seemed bored. To be expected working on a Holiday and with two customers in the whole place but you do have a paying job so be happy for that.
The restaurant is clean. The carpets need a good vacuum.
The wings, ordered hot were hot 🔥 and good enough to wake up the taste buds.
I just wouldn't go back for the veal.

A good pizza place in the neighbourhood. I like their thin crust pizza and we ordered the special "2 medium with two toppings". Both were very good. Service was quick and friendly.

Very flavorful pizza. Stopped for a quick slice and it was really yummy…

Pizza Nova on church used to be our go to for pizza. The last many orders we have called to complain. They make it seem as if it is our fault for them not preparing pizza properly, for the toppings lacking, or for poor quality. So sad, we need to find a new pizza joint.

Good food. Everything had good flavour and freshness. The ambience is also really nice in terms of cultural decoration.
Doro Wat (Chicken Gravy) was delicious.
Be ready to eat with your hands and sharing one big plate.
One drawback is I everything is overpriced.
The dish above is a mix of 2 combos and a Doro Wat (chicken gravy) and the bill came up to $75. And the owner tried to force us to order another dish.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience here with my partner a few weeks ago. Came for lunch, enjoyed every food item on our plate, but we were especially blown away by the coffee service. Probably the best coffee I’ve ever had in my entire life. No lie! Excellent service, great food, amazing coffee. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

I had been hearing about the Ethiopian House for more than a year. Finally got the chance to try it out and absolutely loved it!! I got their vegetarian thali and it has these little little soul food balls that just satisfied my soul! They serve these little balls of gravy, lentils and veggie with neer dosa (Indian name, not Ethiopian, I don’t remember the Ethiopian name for it - so sorry!), which are delicious. The whole ambience is just wow! So cultural, colourful, vibrant and transports you to Ethiopia!
Easy on pocket, great space, supremely spic and span washrooms, service is amazing and one must try their coffee - there’s a whole ritual to serving coffee that is a must-do!!!!
Definitely going back!

The Artful Dodger Pub in Toronto left much to be desired. From the moment I stepped in, the ambience felt lackluster and uninspired. The decor seemed outdated, and the overall atmosphere failed to evoke the cozy charm expected from a traditional pub setting. Despite the dim lighting and rustic furnishings attempting to create an inviting environment, it fell short of expectations.
Moving on to the food, my experience was disappointing. The menu offered typical pub fare, but the execution left much to be desired. The dishes lacked flavor and finesse, presenting a mediocre culinary experience. From the appetizers to the main course, nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable.
However, where the Artful Dodger Pub excelled was in its service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout my visit. Despite the shortcomings in other areas, the excellent service helped salvage the overall experience to some extent.
In conclusion, while the Artful Dodger Pub in Toronto may have friendly service, it fails to impress with its ambience and food offerings. For those seeking a memorable dining experience, this establishment may not be the most satisfying choice.

We were looking 👀 for a new 🆕 place 🍴where we can try a good 👍 Fish 🎣 🐟 🐠 & Chips 🍟 and delicious 🤤 food 🥘. So, we decided to visit Artful Dodger Pub located in Toronto, ON.
If you’re looking 👀 for a phenomenal food 🍲 🍱 🥘 / dining experience, look no further than Artful Dodger Pub. Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff 👨🍳👩🍳🧑🍳 is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure.
Artful Dodger Pub is a lovely 😊 place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city 🏙️ in spite of being in the city 🌃. There’s an ample parking 🅿️ space around the building.
The place has the huge indoor seating arrangements and the seating arrangement is super comfortable and spacious.
The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following 🆙. The food 🍱 🍲 🥘 menu is great 👍 and there are many choices to choose from and they also offer quite a lot of small bites options to choose from.
Pricing 💲 is decent, good 👍 value for money 💰 💵 and the place is more suitable for a group of people.

Stopped in with 4 others before seeing a theatre show around the corner. Nice pub decor, plenty of seating when we arrived, but filled up quite a bit while we were there.
Server was pleasant and efficient.
I had Sheppard's pie which came with steamed veggies on the side. It was ok.
Thanks for a good experience.

This is a really cute pub to sit at. Music is quite quiet so it’s easy to chat, but wouldn’t call it lively. As with most pubs the food isn’t great, I would stick to the simple orders. We got the burger, the wings and the pierogies - none of which were great, but they were good enough. Lots of beer and friendly staff.
Breanna Gilpin - 6 months ago
What a great place! Food and service were excellent and the old English pub atmosphere was very welcoming. Beer was ice cold and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend making a reservation as it can get busy with the theatre next door.

I must say, my personal favorites at Pizza Nova's St. Joseph and Bay location are the Super Hawaiian, Meat Supreme, and Chicken Florentine pizzas. These choices never disappoint! Additionally, the service is fantastic - lightning-fast with an incredibly friendly staff. The washrooms are consistently clean, and the spaciousness of the store adds to the overall comfort. For an exceptional experience, I highly recommend trying out these delicious pizzas. This store, with its outstanding service and inviting atmosphere, unquestionably deserves a 5-star rating

This was one of the largest Pizza Nova’s I have ever been too! Absolutely loved the experience. I took my son for a slice and they totally catered to his needs along with my food allergies. They made my son feel so special and like family. I never write reviews normally… but credit was definitely due for this amazing team! Awesome location too!

Great pizza and friendly service! They sell pizza by the slice which is super convenient when you are on the go. They also heat it up in their oven prior to serving so it always tastes fresh. The best part is a slice costs the same as a coffee… so skip your morning coffee and get yourself a nice slice instead (or get both haha). Will come back!

Great friendly staff Sorry I have to tell the truth.
Always great service Pizza, lasagna comes with garlic bread, favourite exceptional. They also have beer awesome. I believe they are the FIRST #1 Location to have beer ! We asked if they do not have a problem with you bringing in a Slurpee from 7-Eleven conveniently on the other side of the street. On a hot day. Cashier replied why not it’s a hot day, because my friend had started work at 5 AM hot sun all day got home and was thirsty with all that smog stay hydrated.P.S. always asked for extra sauce for lasagna. Well done if you’d like it. Love it enjoy !

Kothur Indian Cuisine is a standout spot in the city, offering delicious Indian food in a welcoming atmosphere. Probably one of the Indian Restaurants that puts quality over quantity.
I recently took my close friends here during their visit to Toronto, and we all had a fantastic time. The waiter and manager were incredibly friendly and provided warm hospitality throughout our meal.
However, parking can be a hassle, so I recommend using public transit or Uber to avoid any issues.
Despite this inconvenience, Kothur's tasty dishes and inviting ambiance make it a must-visit for Indian food enthusiasts in the area.

Food is simply amazing. Ambience is good. Service is slow. We ordered:
1. Chicken Chettinadu: 5/5 (must order)
2. Fish curry: 4/5
3. Garlic Naan: 5/5
4. South Indian Parantha: 4/5
Owner doesn’t give tips to the waiters. So, I tipped in cash directly to the waiter. Quantity is bit less. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Indian food lovers.

I ordered take-out on Tuesday noon time. The waitress seemed very welcoming and was talking in native language with the customer before me, and suddenly she turned into cold face without any greetings and smiles. I am not sure if this is just one of the occasions or this restaurant is not ready to share their culture or cuisine with people from different background.
I ordered Manchurian Chicken and naan. The portion was big to be honest, but definitely not the best one I've ever had. Not sure if I will come back again for other dishes. I love Indian food and there are quiet a couple of decent ones in this area.

We needed a quiet place to discuss a work issue in detail while we ate, went to a small place we had a reservation for and it was packed to the gills and we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone get work done so we went for a walk and found the Fox basicallly empty. Never a great sign for decent food but we needed to talk so gave it a whirl. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff Nat who was fast with out orders and quite lovely.
I haven't had a good liver and onions for years and when asked about it she said it was really popular! which you never hear so we went for it and maaaan it was great! Tender and fried to perfection with a ton of potatoes and veg to follow. Beer was icey cold. Giver a try folks. If you're scared of liver, this is the place to have natures vitamin.

The food was amazing and the menu has such great variety. Accidentally got chicken tacos instead of fish tacos at first so check your meal when you get it! There was only one waiter and many tables were occupied so it wasn’t their fault for the mix up. Adding more servers would be beneficial to both business and for the customers.

This is a very average pub restaurant offering your typical drinks and pub food at fairly good prices. We were a group of 8 and the waitress was quick and efficient, especially considering that it was busier than usual given the huge crowds in the area for Pride weekend. That being said, it's hard to get pub food wrong. My main issue with this restaurant is that the owner appears too cheap to want to renovate or maintain it. See the pictures attached; it's falling apart and is so outdated - not in a vintage or rustic kind of way. Anyhow it's an OK option if other bars in the area are busy, as was the case for us. But do NOT go out of your way to go here. I would only go here if all other options are closed in the area.

Fox and Fiddle at Wellesley offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The diverse menu caters to various tastes, with pub classics and inventive dishes. The staff is friendly, creating a comfortable dining experience. The establishment often hosts live music events, enhancing the vibrant ambiance. While the interior has a cozy pub feel, the outdoor seating is a great option during pleasant weather. The drink selection is extensive, featuring both traditional and creative cocktails. Keep in mind that peak hours can get busy, but the overall vibe and quality of service make Fox and Fiddle a solid choice for a casual and enjoyable outing. And Karaoke nights are amazing not. Not miss.

I'd tried a bunch of poke bowl places downtown Toronto, but a few friends and I found ourselves in the area, and after a quick google search and some decent reviews we figured we'd give Hoki Poke a try.
Overall great food. We all had different bowls and the salmon and tuna were very fresh. The cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, corn leafy greens were also very fresh. We were also fortunate enough to try their takoyaki and dumplings, which is the only reason this is 4/5. The poke bowls were top notch, but unfortunately the takoyaki was a little dry, despite having sauce drizzled on it. Still though, great taste and flavor, and amazing service by the staff.

I have tried a couple of poke bowl restaurants and found this to be one of the best. I always get the Hawaii Bowl, and it never disappoints. The salmon is torched to perfection. The crispy onions add crunchiness to the bowl. Overall, a well balanced meal. However, it is pricey.

Used to be a great affordable option for lunch for me. Food quality is still great and service is always great but they’ve been slowly increasing prices over the years to the point where it’s affordable.
Large Spicy Salmon bowl used to be $16 recently. It’s now $22. Won’t be coming back if prices stay this high which is a shame as I’ve been coming here for years.
