I loved my experience here! Alisha’s service was absolutely spectacular with her recommendations and light banter! We got Large Nacho’s with birria beef, hot beer cheese sauce and guacamole which was highly recommended! My friend and I also got the crispy wagyu beef dumplings, Honey garlic wing and Truffle fries. We topped it off with another satisfying recommendation from Alisha. The Sticky Toffee Cake was a gooey delicious ending to our dining experience here.

The food is average- ordered the fish and chips and found to be dry. But I keep coming back for the best service from Megan! She’s always so attentive to my toddler and friendly and kind every time! I keep coming back because of her! Thanks Megan! You’re the best!!

Second visit was fantastic (July 23, 2025): had the hot and the gar par and it was an excellent combination. The wings are sauced and cooked perfectly. Once again Roberto is just the friendliest! My favourite wing spot in the city.
Possibly the best wing sauces in the city. If you like hot and flavourful, this is the spot. They’ve got several options of hot (which are legitimately hot) and many other flavours. The prices are very reasonable and there’s a nice selection of drinks.
Roberto, I believe was the bar man’s name, was extremely friendly and very nice explaining all the sauces and just chatting with us.
Thursday night is open comic night so just keep that in mind if you go on a Thursday!
The price total was high because we had 3 pints each, 2 lbs each, and split a large fries.

Cute bar and the bartender was running the bar and our server. Service seemed to be a bit slow but it wasn’t overly busy so I can see why they probably only had 1 cook and 1 person running customer service.
Regardless the bartender was nice and friendly. They had interesting flavours for wings but I found it wasn’t as amazing as I had expected. The large nachos were good and the jalapeños were fresh. The only thing is I felt it could’ve used a bit more lettuce but there was more than enough beef.

Great place for service, food and ambiance. Rob the bartender is super creative and very knowledgeable and cocktails and the menu . Everything is delicious and the drinks are delightful . Would definitely recommend visiting here. The Mediterranean Nachos are a creative and tasty twist on a Mexican favorite. Uts a MUST TRY!

We stumbled upon this neighbourhood gem because of the US Open;)
Phenomenal family run local pub..
Firstly, Robert was very welcoming, and It was clear that he understood food & how to blend acid/heat/savoury/sweet flavors...
The wings were definitely in the top 10-20th %-ile of pub wings across the city...,
Deep fried.., yet not greasy..
And the flavors of Coconut Thai, & Korean BBQ were balanced , and not overpowering in any sense..
A foodie kind of wings;)
We also tried the Mediterranean Nachos...simple.., but yum!.
Pita was light & not greasy..
But the star was their goat/cow milk feta..., soft, pillowy.., not over-salty like some of the 'bulk-Greek' feta in many restos...
This cheese was the best feta I have had in a bar/pub setting;)
Kudos to this local gem:)

Had an amazing time at this bar with my sister and some friends! We came down to play some pool and were really impressed with how clean and welcoming the place was. The atmosphere was great, and the staff was super friendly—especially our bartender, Ruburto. He was so nice and pleasant to be around, and we had some really good conversations with him.
The food was also a highlight! We ordered nachos, and they were made with fresh ingredients—absolutely delicious. The drinks were fantastic too! I ordered a Blue Hawaiian, and it was the best one I’ve had in a while.
Overall, this place has a great vibe, good people, and is very friendly toward queer folks, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend coming here for a fun night of drinks, good food, and great conversation!

We had Ash and team cater a big family party in our home. The food was top notch (we're still getting compliments), the service was great, and they worked closely with us to develop a menu that was exactly what we wanted. Oh, and our kitchen never looked nicer.
Highly recommend!

Tasting the rainbow! Savoury versions with these mini-sized and healthier samosas that contain a variety of Indian flavours that we all know and love. With less guilt but a decent amount of crisp.
Bredgy L. - 6 months ago
I ordered about 200 samosas as a treat for my staff, but unfortunately, most ended up in the garbage. The concept is great and the theme is cute, but the execution fell short. I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, but when 30 people share the same experience, it’s clear there’s room for improvement. 😒

Really brilliant selection, flavours and colours. The pastries have vibrant colours and different shapes that make it easy to identify the filling. I like that they are bite size which helps to try several types. They also have frozen bags but only with one type. They have packaged containers of sauces and chutney. Coriander one was great! Amazing little gem of a place. Take out bakery style, no seating.
Anthony John - 6 months ago
What a fun place! So many different flavors to choose from and they were all really tasty, hard to pick a favorite as I enjoyed them all. And for someone who can't handle spicy food, I really appreciate that most of the flavors were non-spicy. These are a great size for snacking and would be great to bring to a potluck or picnic. I'll definitely be back and am looking forward to trying their chutney!

Ethiopian restaurant with live jazz. Simple venue, fantastic food, house wine is great, and the hospitality is awesome. Went on a night that featured the Moment's Notice Quartet. Loved it. This is the place for slow food and good music.
Aly Valli - 6 months ago
Disappointed based on past experiences. We ordered the combo for 2 but the quantity of food made me think he brought us for 1. Only 4 pieces of injera for us and I had to go up but was only given 2 more. Worst of all, our meal was on a plate, not injera. We were never checked on so never asked if we wanted another drink. On Friday nights, when there is a performance, one more person taking care of us would have made all the difference. I'd suggest, if going to eat before the show, get there well before. I guess once the show starts the service ends. Totally appreciate this but wish I knew. Jazz group was amazing!

Hirut is a fantastic, welcoming place with superb live jazz music and great acoustics in an intimate setting. I recently went to hear the fabulous Vancouver Trio, with Amanda Tossoff, piano; Morgan Childs, drums; and the ever steady, ever ready, ever adventurous bassist, Brendan Davis.
I cannot wait to return for dinner, and more live jazz.
Just steps from the subway station, it’s easy to get to via TTC, there’s street parking for drivers, and the many shops along east Danforth are very interesting.
Wherever you come from in Metro Toronto or GTA, make it a stop on you journeys about town!

Tonight I placed a delivery order. I ordered the Medium Special with 10 wings. OMG, the hot honey garlic wings were AMAZING! I think they were the best wings I’ve had in years. The pizza had pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms on half and hot Italian peppers on the other half. Nothing special BUT it too, was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this location. They obviously take pride in delivering hot delicious food. The delivery person was friendly and the food was hot.

Haven't had services like this in fast food chains for decades, your employee cooks and serves with bright energy and passion!
Best experience visiting pizza restaurants hands down. I would love to hire the employee myself.
I visited on the 20th of Aug 2025 at around 11pm.
Some mentions soggy pizza but that's because you ordered the thin crust! I was so satisfied with the soggy thin crust which made the texture almost like biting on a Lasagna. Or maybe the happiness the guy Brough upon me completed my satisfaction!!
I strongly recommend the management to give him a raise or a manager position!!

I ordered 2 medium pepperoni pizza tonight and both were under baked and not enough sauce, and cheese was not spread out evenly. Plus I was not recommended to buy the 2 medium pizza with 2 toppings each that comes with drinks and dips for the same price as 2 medium pepperoni pizza. I was very surprised. I'm going to put this on the employee that made the order because I go here regularly and the pizza is on point.
Shahrooz Kharaghani - 3 months ago
I had some pizza. The pizza is not tasty. Quite soggy.
The staff is excellent.
Update: my girlfriend eats Pizza Nova from this location, and the "white pizza." is her favourite. Gets it from here once a week. Today we ordered a large and it didn't have enough herb oil base, and the crust was not as requested. She was very disappointed. I offered to return it, but she was scared they would get mad. I'm im just leaving a review for her.
Update x2: they got the pizza right. But too many flies in the restaurant.

I ordered the chicken pad thai and spring rolls. The spring rolls were ok. They had a good crunch and a nice sour note, but left an odd aftertaste. Overall, the chicken pad thai was not good. It had some good pieces of chicken, but the flavouring was not good and the dish was a bit soupy. I asked for hot spice and it almost had a hot buffalo sauce taste to it, so it had me wondering if that's how they added the heat, but I'm not sure. Honestly, I'd rather pay the extra few bucks and get better Thai food elsewhere. The food here left me full, but unsatisfied. Disappointing.
The service was very quick and the woman who took my order was kind. I think I only waited 8 minutes to get my food, so they were quick.

I just ordered the drunken noodles (Pad See Ew). This is my favorite dish and I've probably tried it at 30 different Thai restaurants. This one is very fresh - the texture is great, they actually add a good amount of egg which is awesome, and flavorwise it's pretty close to the top of the list. This one doesn't feel as heavy as a lot of the other ones out there (although the fat often amplifies the flavor).
And a huge plus for the server/cashier who took my order. She's super friendly! I also received my order in about 3-5 minutes. Would recommend!

First time , small place . Very friendly and helpful staff. Tried the Thai Room special chicken and shrimp pad see ew . It was fast and very well cooked. Nice taste not too spicy . The vegetables were cooked well, the shrimp was the star of the dish . Also had the vegetable spring roll , it was fried perfectly and cooked evenly . No oily or cold spots in roll, their dipping sauce was perfect . Definitely recommend this place , portions are a good size . I will definitely go back .

Excellent food at great prices. Service is always very kind. My favourite is the broad rice noodle with black bean sauce, a lot of dishes I ordered came with a good selection of vegetables as well. Delicious! And fresh rice noodles (I’ve struggled finding a Chinese restaurant near the beaches that has fresh rice noodles), so yummy!

Excellent neighborhood Chinese food. Fast, clean, and tasty food that I can highly recommend. Salt and pepper shrimp, general Tao chicken, sweet and sour pork, chicken and vegetable fried rice, Cantonese noodles with shrimp, chicken and veggies 😋, and everything else on the menu. Nice to have a place like this close to home.
Shahrooz Kharaghani - a week ago
Wanted to taste some yummy Chinese food from one of the local businesses and Google recommended them. Seeing 4.3 avg. rating encouraged us to try it out. No complaints about service, it was warm and friendly. However, the food was not. It's true that they give you a huge amount to fill your belly but if your tongue couldn't taste anything, what's the point of filling your belly?
Mongolian Chicken with steamed rice had more cabbage to cover the whole thing (see picture). Even if that was tasty, I wouldn't complain. It was dripping with sauce and no taste.
Sweet and Sour Pork usually is a safe bet, with chicken fried rice, it looked good but tasted nothing. The pork was full with sauce, and fried rice was hard as hell.
Overall, not a good experience. Having less faith in these Google ratings lately. I guess most 5-star people went there to fill their belly with cheap offers rather than taste something good at a reasonable price.
No hard feelings to the owners, they were good, just not the food we paid for.
John D'Costa - 3 years ago
Great portions at great prices. Really good fried chicken wings that came with the take out order after hitting the minimum. Everything was very tasty except the sweet and sour pork. It's my favorite dish, but it was very disappointing. Tasted like orange chicken which was weird, would not recommend this dish.
Would recommend and come back to try other dishes.
Simon W - 2 years ago
The food is amazing! Great portions and the prices are reasonable. This is a family owned restaurant which has been in the community for years. My family and I have been coming here for years and I can honestly say they never disappoint. You have to check out this hidden gem!

“Wow! This deep-dish pizza nails that old-school Detroit vibe. The crust is cheesy, crispy on the edges, and perfectly chewy inside. The server and staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back for more!”

Amazing service and pizza was absolutely amazing! The crust was perfectly crispy while still light and airy on the inside. I tried the pepperoni and detroit funghi pizza, both of them tasted so fresh and exceeded my expectations! I would recommend trying it for sure, very yummy.

In an Era of spectacular pizza places across the city, McMan still stands out. This place does everything a proper Detroit style pie should. Soft fluffy interior, crispy edges, sauce ladled on the top, and cup pepperoni.
Pizzas are made to order, so taking my own advice to order ahead next time. Even so, the wait was worth it.

I've been waiting for a new pizza / Italian Detroit Style Pizza place to open, for several months with much anticipation. It was worth the wait. Location is a block east of Woodbine on the north side of Danforth Ave. With 11 selection of rectangular shaped pizzas, and 8 types of pasta dishes. You won't go hungry for lack of choices. Yes their are many other foods to try. Like the arancini. Mmmm. Deep fried rice balls, stuffed with meat and cheese, about the size of a golfball. (Just a little bigger) Sitting on marinara sauce, sprinkled with freshly grated Parmesan ( really), and chopped fresh Basil. Wow. Just like mamma used to make. I could go on, but I'll just add one more item and then I'll get back to you. I did not ask them where they got it from, but the carrot 🥕 cake was spot on. Anyway, give it a try . The prices were fare. Ciao. Oh and very lovely people.

This is. Without a doubt. Some of the best wings I've ever had. The wing flavors were all so delicious and actually spicy!!! And they have plenty to choose from. The fry flavors are all absolutely delicious and everything was reasonably priced. The owner was very friendly and super helpful and made this just an all around welcoming experience to Toronto! If you're in Toronto you MUST GO to this place! Thanks for making this a memorable trip and a memorable New Years Eve!

Very good wings ! Don't @me for this next statement, but gives Duff's a run for their money for a lot less cash !
Unbreaded wings are amazing, lemon pepper is on point ! Ordered multiple times and the portions are great and the folks that work their are super friendly!
If you have been disappointed by places that you order 1lbs of wings that are weirdly oversized and you only get 5 wings then make the switch to these guys. Wings that are normal sized, delicious, well cooked and aren't greasy (or taste like they were boiled and fast fried)
Great food, great job ! Try them out
Robert McLaughlin - 2 years ago
Ordered takeout on a Friday evening. Order was completed quickly, portions for wings were good but portions for the fries were even better! Sauce and coating on the wings was well done, however, the meat itself was quite dry. Might have been just the batch that day.
Edit: forgot to add that the staff was very friendly!
Kevin Zhang - 3 years ago
I have to say I really like the wings. They are fresh and always taste good. I've eaten here a handful of times in the last 6 months. My reason for the lower rating is they are always, without fail, late. Each time I order online I set a time for pick up, and it has never been within 20 minutes of that time frame. I wait for my order in store and I can see it's not busy, there aren't people coming in and out. So it's not for the fact that they are over capacity. Sometimes they say they "didn't get my order until recently" but I get order confirmation right after I pay online so I find that hard to believe too.
Again I really like their food, but each time I remember why I don't order here as often. I will gladly change my rating if I start experiencing better service.
David Ly - 2 years ago
Ordered via their online portal, and when we went to pick it up the store wasn't even opened. Tired calling an no pick up. Just looked at my credit card bill now and they still charged my order. Disappointing, as I've had good wings here before.
Update: the new rating is based on how helpful they have been in getting me my refund back. Also I know they do make good wings. My only feedback is they need to pay more attention to their online platform so this never happens again. Also to make it clear that if something doesn't go right for their online ordering they should out reach to Doordash. It's no very clear right now and the number they have posted on their site and confirmation email doesn't really go anywhere.

I went to this restaurant on Tuesday evening. It wasn’t too busy, so I got a table right away without having to wait. The place looked nice and clean, with a cozy Japanese-style vibe. The staff were friendly and gave good service.
For the appetizer, I ordered the gyoza. The flavor was good and served as a decent start to the meal. My main course was the chicken teriyaki bento, which was flavorful and well-prepared. The portion size was generous suitable for sharing between two people, assuming neither has a particularly large appetite.
For my beverage, I selected what I believe to be the house blend of green tea, though I am unsure of the exact menu name. I thoroughly enjoyed the drink and found it refreshing. However, I would recommend that the restaurant consider offering a hot version as well, as I personally prefer hot green tea.

I visited gyoko sushi few weeks ago midweek and was very happy with my order overall. The soft shell crab was the highlight of my meal (nicely decorated as well). I am not sure if the chef changed but I ordered the same soft shell crab a few months ago and it wasn’t that great but I gave it another try this time. I will be visiting middle of the week from now in hopes for the same chef to make it delicious again. The waitress was pleasant.

Gyoko Sushi is a small, cozy place that we absolutely love for its proximity and fantastic service. Recently, we made a reservation for 10 people to celebrate my LA cousin's last day in town, and it did not disappoint.
The service was excellent, as always. The staff was attentive and ensured our large group was well taken care of. The food was spot on, just like every other time we've visited. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.
Gyoko Sushi continues to be a favorite for us, and this visit reinforced why we keep coming back. If you’re looking for great sushi with excellent service in a cozy setting, I highly recommend Gyoko Sushi.
