Great dining experience in Montreal!
Excellent excellent service from Pascale! She suggested great food & drinks which were all superb 👍
She also came back multiple times to ensure that we are served well.
The Dessert Rose Sangria was to die for… we had 3!!!
Prices were very reasonable.
The burger was tasty & the poutine was also yummy. We dunked our chicken wings in the gravy 😆
Over-all, we ended our Montreal stay with smiles in our faces & tummies ☺️

Went to Les 3 Brasseurs on St-Denis around 5–5:30 PM for an early birthday dinner with my wife while we were out walking. We chose it mainly for convenience since it was nearby — unfortunately the experience was very poor from start to finish.
The first issue was the entry/reception area. There was already a group of five waiting, and the space is too small to comfortably accommodate multiple parties. Another group came in behind us, the doors were being held open, and everyone was packed together with cold winter air blowing in. We waited about five minutes with no staff attending the reception area at all.
Since no one came, we decided to sit ourselves at the bar, which many restaurants allow when seats are open. After about 15 minutes waiting at the bar, someone finally took our drink order — but instead of acknowledging the situation, we were lectured about waiting to be seated because that’s when menus are provided. The lack of awareness or empathy at that point really set the tone.
We received our drinks before getting menus, then waited another 20+ minutes with no one returning to take our order. I also sat with an empty drink for a long stretch without anyone checking in. At that point we decided to leave and go somewhere else — even getting the bill was difficult because it was extremely hard to get anyone’s attention despite repeated attempts.
Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacking any clear leadership or customer service standards. It’s disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a nice birthday outing. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Great spot for catching a show nearby, with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. That said, the evening I visited was unusually slow—our food took over an hour to arrive. To their credit, the staff was apologetic about the delay, and once the dishes came, the quality made up for it. I especially enjoyed the “Burger Week” special. The restaurant is set in a charming, bustling part of the city, which adds to the overall experience.

Went there before a standup comedy show and it was very crowded. Had to wait more than twenty minutes to get seated, and another fifteen to have a waiter greets us. Beer place, the beer was good. Fried pickles, mozzarella sticks as they were out of halloumi fries for appetizers, Maya hotdog was good, fish n’ chips was okay, and the pork shank which I have to say was very good but a little dry. All in all, good place but don’t go there if you’re in a rush.

I have been to 3 Brasseurs many times in Montreal. On Saint John Baptiste Day, I visited this branch with my best friend. The restaurant was quite full, and although the second floor had some empty tables, the waitress said we couldn’t be seated there, so we were placed near the entrance, which was very inconvenient as people kept bumping into our table.
My friend ordered the feta pizza and was happy with it and the four-flavour beer sampler. I had a regular burger with sweet potato fries (extra charge), but the burger was bland, and the fries were not very tasty. I also ordered the four beers.
The waiter was kind but not very attentive. Despite being unhappy with the food and our table, I still left a 15% tip.
I understand that on busy days these places get crowded and it’s more challenging, but in the customer service industry, we expect good food and service for what we pay.
I love this restaurant, but my experience at this branch was not very pleasant.

We had an amazing experience at 3 Amigos! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was outstanding — the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Every dish we tried was delicious and packed with flavor. We truly enjoyed everything and will definitely be coming back again!

Had a great time at 3 Amigos on St-Denis! The atmosphere is fun and lively, perfect for a casual night out. Service was friendly and fast.

3 Amigos is a nice Mexican food concept with tacos and other dishes, but after trying several locations — in Laval, on Saint-Catherine, and on Saint-Denis — it seems like they all have Indian owners now. The food was okay, nothing that really makes you say “wow.” But like they say, always take a look at the bathroom — it usually reflects how the kitchen looks! And this place was a perfect example of that.

So we wanted to eat Mexican. I checked the map and saw the 3 Amigos is about 10 minutes walk from our hotel. We walked, despite the snow, we got there and we were not disappointed. Service was too notch. Food? Fantastic!!

Where to start.. let's start with the staff and how welcoming, chatty and professional with warmth! They know their menu and they know the crowd. From the moment you set foot in, the atmosphere, decor and ample space between tables makes it inviting. As they start explaining the menu, it makes you want to dive right in.
And the food doesn't disappoint. It is well cared and crafted. It is serves at a pace that invite the conversation to enjoy the night. And as you start craving for that next bite, it comes along right away.
A big bonus is the BYOW!

Went there for a Saturday dinner. Nice and neat restaurant. Overall the food is great and above average. I just wasn’t happy with the service.
We were not big eaters so we shared some dishes. The waitress gave me a feeling that we were cheap and we didn’t order the complete 3 course for each person. Whether she meant it or not, we all felt that way. There are plenty of good restaurants on the island. If you keep up with this attitude, you will start losing your customers. At least we won’t go back.

Incroyable. Seasonal and delicious food and I love the corkage aka BYOB wine service they offer.
Was so full after 4 dishes and the unbelievable bread with honey butter.
Every dish sounded superb and we had such a hard time trying to pick what to get. Love that the chef came out to serve our mains and the service was warm and patient although our different languages.
Great portions, such a delight and very affordable for Michelin recommendation. Will be thinking about this incredible meal for a long time.

Wonderful farm to table local and seasonal restaurant. We showed up early for our reservation due to a booking error and we were still accommodated within 30 minutes! The Maitre d’ took my number and messaged as soon as the table was ready. This was my 4th time at the restaurant, this time at the new location. Food was very interesting, creative and of course delicious! See the pics ! We were really happy! You can bring your own wine, so we got a French Pinot Noir from SAQ. Highly recommended ! To the staff: thanks for having us! Will be back !

The food is ohkayyy for the price especially for Montreal . Nothing mind blowing.

Very good hot platters, but the soups leave much to be desired especially for their price. The meat is very obviously frozen for the soups as it maintains an unfortunately grainy texture, and slightly undercooked and stucked noodles.
Very lovely atmosphere however.

This place is honestly disappointing. I ordered the peanut stir fry and it turned out to be slightly watered down plain peanut butter poured over pre-boiled shrimps and vegetables. In my picture I have already picked up a shrimp and saw that the shrimp below it didn't have any sauce on it at all - which would not happen if everything was cooked together. Same goes for all vegetables. My sister said the shrimps in her pad thai tasted fishy and she didn't eat them. The spring rolls were good and the staff was nice.

Place was packed but we were lucky and got a recently vacated table by the window. Asked the lovely server which pizza she recommends and suggested to add bacon to it. It was also cut in half:). It was probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. Another server came and we ordered fettuccine with smoked salmon based on his resounding recommendation. I was hesitant because I normally like thin pastas but decided to try anyway. Boy, was I glad I did. The pasta was very fresh and portion was generous but we finished all of it.
The food was so good that I didn’t even finish my Pinot Grigio!

I took in the improv night with my friend who uses a wheelchair. It was a lot of fun, they have a ramp ready for the main entrance and made every accommodation to make us feel welcome.
It's a real gem of a venue with great staff and a fun community.

I was actually going for dinner and passing my this place and found this vibrant place! I stopped by as was curious to find out about this place and understood that there’s a improv play in the next 10 mins. I seemed interesting and decided to stay back( cancelled dinner plans) and must say it was fun experience! The improv artists were amazing with great acting( improv) ..I got to meet some artists( who do this part time/ hobby) and very humble and talented bunch of people.. Cafe was nice too with good options and some great cocktails too..
Highly recommended to visit for the overall package - plays/ performances/people and cafe.. excellent vibes ..

Don't be fooled by the name "theatre", it's mainly a cafe during the day and is an excellent place to laptop. If you're roaming in this part of town, this is the best cafe you will find. If you compare it with other cafes across Montreal, it is unique in its association with theatre, mainly improv, which keeps the good vibes flowing. Friendly staff, good lunch food options and coffee.

Visited for a friend’s birthday and we were given access to a beautiful private room. The atmosphere was great, and the staff truly made the experience exceptional — warm, attentive, and always checking in without being intrusive. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived and were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.
The shared plates were fun and delicious, the calamari is a must-try, and the cocktails have a unique, memorable taste.
Highly recommend for events, couples, or just a night out!

The atmosphere was nice, however, we were disappointed in the food. Both the first and second courses were relatively bland, and the pizza in particular was a disappointment. Looking at the other positive reviews, my guess is that our experience was the exception and not the rule, it seems many other people have had a great meal there. I do appreciate that they have gluten-free options and that is what initially drew us to the restaurant, however, the execution of the food fell short.

In my opinion, l'oeufrier has the best milkshakes out of all the other breakfast chains but their meals also don't come with complimentary coffee so you have to pay extra to get them. The coffee does taste better than other places (as they should). This is also true for other l'oeufrier's, but the interior and design is cute! If you want a nice picture I think this place would be for you. I wasn't trying to take a good picture so that's that but if you tried you could get a better one than mine I can see the vision

Since I moved to this neighborhood, this has been my favorite spot for a good and affordable breakfast. Service is always fast and very friendly. I usually go before 9 a.m. and there are always tables available, but after 10 it gets busy quickly.

I came into restaurant and was greeted to a table, however it took 15 minutes for us to get waters when it wasn’t that busy. We were already ready to order and we asked 2 other servers and they mentioned they’ll let our server know. We continued to wait another 15 minutes and finally our waitress came. She didn’t seem to apologize and we saw her chatting with friends when she could’ve taken our orders awhile ago. The food was fine, no complaints but the bacon is not cooked to crispy but more soft which other people prefer. The price of our meals were average. Lastly to get our bill, it took even longer and we ultimately had to walk up to ask for our bill, when others tables had their bill brought to them. Extremely unhappy with the service but cheers to the cooks.

Had a really great time here with my friends. I’ve only been here about three times but every time I come, it’s a great time.
The beer is always cold. The glasses are always clean and the prices are always right. The music is also really good. I don’t know who plays the music, but it’s never a bad track listing or playlist.
I really enjoy meeting friendly people here never a bad time. If I had any complaints to make, it would be that the cactus in the corner needs to be watered with actual water. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a plant going into alcohol withdrawal and shiver when given water before…
There’s always a first for everything .. and your first time here will be a 10 out of 10 adventure great time good vibes.

Evelyn, She is THE BEST! very friendly, and gave us very good service. she has a lot of knowledge about what is the pubs menu and alcohols, she keeps track of who might need an other drink, which is quite rare nowadays. she takes time to talk to her costumers (even if the pub is quite busy)

I often bike past this bar but I've never tried it until last night. It's cozy and low lit however however I wasn't happy about the fact they only take cash. Thankfully, the person I was with had cash on him. There's an ATM however you'd probably have to pay a fee. The drinks are pretty cheap so that's a plus.
Mr Reviewer - a year ago
The place is cozy, local and everything, but it's cash only, service was mediocre and slow, couldn't hear any music.
I tipped like 12% because of a mistake in the calculation (not included in the bill and cash only - no machine) and I was demanded right away the 15%, which is normal but it rubbed me in the wrong way. I also had to pay immediately after ordering, which was weird somehow for a bar.
I ordered nachos and they were pretty meh for the price, didn't match the description provided by the waitress. The food offering is very limited as well. Is it really a bistro?

Enjoy the buffet style and plate weight prices, kitchen staff replace empty buffet trays promptly. Clean and comfortable dining room.
After multiple visits on the weekend days I noted a distinct lower quality on the hot buffet items I always have. It’s disappointing because the consistency of great tasting food is why I go there.
Definitely recommend going during the week.

We didn’t try the buffet, only the little cafe and sandwich counter. The chai latte was really good !! We tried the tandoori and the bbq sandwich as well, they were made of marinated tofu. It was quick and very decent, bread was fresh.
My only complaint would be that they aren’t entirely vegan. Most options are, but they still serve some vegetarian dishes as well.

A place like this should be in every city. It was a discovery for me and I was blown away. Everything is delicious. My favorites are cheese, rice, potato salad and artichokes. And also, delicious soup. I recommend this place.

This place is a paradise for vegetarians!
Both the café and buffet offer an incredible selection of unique vegetarian dishes, many of which I haven’t come across anywhere else in the GTA. The variety and flavors are truly remarkable.
As vegetarians, it’s often challenging to find such an extensive range of options, especially in a city like Montreal. However, this place stands out by offering an impressive selection, including many vegan dishes that perfectly suit vegetarian preferences.
I wish I could have tried everything, but my appetite had its limits!
Absolutely amazing!
