This is the only place that I have given it 5-star during my stay in whole Canada. I felt like that I have sat in a bistro in Rome or Florence when I was eating there. Eventhough it is so busy, always packed, the waiters r so professional,kind and polite. Also the food was perfect, full of inspiration. Who ever is a chef of thid gem, is a real chef.

The food and wine were great. If you go for lunch, it’s usually easy to find a table. They don’t take reservations, and there’s often a long line outside. The best time to come is around 5 p.m. ,before the evening rush. Every day after 6 p.m., there’s live jazz music, so the crowd starts to build up around that time. If you arrive around 5 p.m., you’ll have a better chance of getting a table and can enjoy a relaxed dining experience while waiting for the music to start. I found that Friday at 5 p.m. is the perfect time to visit. They also have lovely backyard tables surrounded by greenery and flowers. The only downside is the small flies that tend to hover around the tables, it can get quite irritating depending on the weather and season. We visited in October, and it was a bit bothersome then.

We had a really lovely dinner at Jardin Nelson in Montreal. The atmosphere was warm and full of life — especially because of the live music. There were several musicians performing while we dined, and it added something really special to the experience. During jazz festival season, it’s even more vibrant, with music floating through the air and talented artists keeping everyone entertained. It feels like one of those classic Montreal spots where you just want to linger. The food was absolutely delicious. The chef did an excellent job — everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The menu is rich and diverse, so everyone in our group found something they really enjoyed, whether it was seafood, vegetarian dishes, or something light and refreshing. Our waitress, Melina, was amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. She made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout the whole meal. The desserts were also fantastic — a perfect way to end the evening. Overall, the service, the food, and the live music created a memorable night. If you’re visiting Montreal, Jardin Nelson is definitely worth a stop.

Such a dreamy outdoor setting for lunch with friends in the old port. A courtyard with birds flying around and so many flowers, and not to forget live music (and some heaters!). This was October 18th just before the seasonal closure. Food was delicious. Till next year we shall meet again!

We had such a wonderful experience at Jardin Nelson in Old Montreal! The restaurant itself is absolutely charming, set in a beautiful historic building with a cozy, inviting garden that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem in the city. The food was fantastic – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious, from the savory crepes to the refreshing salads. But what really made the experience extra special was the live music. The jazz trio added such a lovely, relaxed vibe to the meal, making it feel like a true Montreal experience. Came here for our anniversary. The food, decor, and service were all excellent. The braised piglet risotto was absolutely delicious. I am willing to say it was the best risotto I ever had. The oysters prepared 3 different ways were interesting. If anything, it was the main course that was less impressive, but still good. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would recommend it.

I was in town for business and, as I like to do, referred to the internet to guide me with particular interest in spots visited by the late Anthony Bourdain. Unbeknownst to me, I would find myself at a 2025 Michelin restaurant. The food was phenomenal. For a starter, I had the oysters 3 ways which were excellent, every last one. My main was the duck confeit fois gras... I am not typically a duck guy, but I followed the recommendation of Helen, who was a marvelous host, and went for it. I am so glad I did! It was off the charts with flavor. Sooo good! Finally, I finished off with their take on cheesecake, which was the perfect conclusion to my foodie feast. All the while, my pre-main martinis were on point, and the wine selection was immaculate as well. Additionally, I got to meet the 2025 top sommelier of the Americas, Jorris Gutierrez Garcia, who is the sommelier on staff at this fine establishment. I eat well in all of my work travels, but this was a top two dining experience for me and I will now make it a standard stop any time I find myself in Montreal. Thank you Helen, Jorris, and the bartender who actually waited on me, along with the chef and kitchen staff... this was a lifetime memory for me, even as a solo traveler. ❤️

Our server had exceptional knowledge of the menu, providing detailed descriptions and thoughtful recommendations. Every dish showcased the restaurant’s commitment to using the freshest ingredients, attention to details in both flavor and presentation was remarkable. This dinner truly was a special teat and a highlight of our stay in Montreal! The French standard delivered at Le Club Chassé et Peche was truly spectacular. You could easily walk by the door if you weren’t paying attention at this Michelin featured restaurant that is worth the price of admission. As outstanding as the service was, the food was on another level. It was our best meal and experience in Montreal and an excellent fine dining option for any special occasion.

The dishes I chose were all creative and full of character — definitely more interesting than typical French restaurant. One highlight was the warm oyster, topped with crispy bread and aromatic herbs — the contrast between the crunchy topping and the tender oyster was simply perfect. The combination of pork belly and fresh scallops was also surprising and delicious. The scallops helped balance out the richness of the pork, making the dish feel lighter and more refined. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and I especially loved the bird sounds playing in the restroom’s audio system — such a charming detail!

Will definitely come back again. They’ve got the best selection of pasta that comes with decent quality of meat and a free salad bar that has the best dressing! Their portions are huge not pricey at all. The atmosphere is amazing. Great location at the centre of the Old port.

Love the menu concept that was named after places in Montreal. Came here twice so we’ve got to try several dishes here and we love them all. Free salad bar and bread as appetizers both for lunch and dinner. The staffs were also amazing. Lovely space to visit if you come to Old Port (small note that it’s first come first serve, they don’t take reservations)

The restaurant has a very nice interior and friendly service. There are many types of pasta with some original and rather unique sauces, and they even offer a small salad as a complimentary starter, which is a nice touch. The main dishes were good, but the virgin mojito was disappointing, and the desserts were actually quite underwhelming. The place feels quite touristic, with average prices for that area of Montreal. It was also very cold inside, which made the experience less pleasant. Overall, I wouldn’t go back, but it’s fine for a casual meal if you’re nearby.

We had a wonderful time there. The atmosphere was pleasant and warm. The food quality was excellent. I ordered the #8 duck leg, served with caramelized onions and accompanied by fettuccine, and was very happy with the taste. What an amazing eat, everything is so fresh and the food honestly tastes amazing! You cannot go wrong with the mains, do try the pasta with the duck leg it was delicious! Each bite had me enjoying life, I was genuinely concerned about how I would leave that place, out of all the places I have tried, this comes in top 10!

Oh God, while I was separating some photos, just remembered this restaurant. So delicious, so tasty, that I don't have other comments. The waiter were very nice, always available and willing to clarify our questions about the menu. I don't know the inside ones, but outside seats are pet-friendly, which is perfect for our family. If you're looking for a great italian food, this restaurant is the place.

We were a group of friends who decided spontaneously to try out this place for dinner. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was not at par. It was slow and often, we had to pass our requests to other staff members due to the long wait times and our waitress not having to visit our table regularly. At some point, the wait became frustrating. Lovely restaurant, but wish the service was better for the price paid.

I came here specifically for the salt and pepper pork chops as I read so many reviews about how this place has the best salt and pepper pork chops in Montréal. So it was a must try for me. I live in Québec City and can't find any authentic made meals from different cultures. I ordered the lunch special of the pork chops and the pork chops did not disappoint, although I wish they were a little less breaded. The lunch special comes with a dumpling soup which was delicious. The broth was so good and the dumpling good too. Overall, delicious meal. I even asked for extra onions and peppers on the side and they gave me a small container of them to go with my meal. I love the small, quaint and home style feel of this restaurant in Chinatown. I shared a table with a lovely couple since I was one person. Love meeting new people. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Food comes quick, hardly any wait for anything. I will definitely return.

Their food are trully irresistible and delicious. I will definitely come back again. Try one of their best seller: salt and pepper pork chops. The dining area is not fancy but the number of customers dining are true evidence of their delicious food they serve.

Huge portions. Excellent value. Very flavourful food. My husband and I shared the famous All Dressed Salt and Pepper Pork Chops with Rice, General Tao Chicken and Peanut Butter Wontons. The pork chops were way too greasy for my liking, but my husband loved them. I enjoyed the flavour, just not all the fat. The General Tao Chicken was oddly tough and chewy but the sauce was fantastic. I loved the peanut butter wontons.

The restaurant overall is good. A little bit noisy. The food is good and fresh. Starting from 2pm, you need to pay for dinner menu, which is 45$ When we ordered fried food, it took a while to get it~20 min and it wasn't warm unfortunately. Be aware, for dessert, the ice cream cost 3$ for a scoop. I was disappointed to see that you had to pay for this. I still do recommend this place if you want to grill some meat. It is well seasoned and fresh. Sushis were great ♡

Underwhelming Experience, nothing special we decided to give it a try to see if it was better than other spots we've been to. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing. The sushi quality just wasn’t there, and the dessert lacked any appeal, though we still gave it a try. One unique feature is the robot that delivers your orders, which was a fun and interesting touch. Portion sizes were decent, but the price didn’t match the quality. You could definitely enjoy better food elsewhere for the same cost. The atmosphere was rather dull, although it was quiet which some may find relaxing.

Keep up the great service! Fastest service I have ever received at a Korean BBQ place in Montreal. Mango jello dessert portion is good after having eaten tons of meat. I left this restaurant extremely full with an expanded stomach. note: Price is $40-$50 incl tip & tax

Amazing food and even better service!!! We went there for my friend's birthday party and our waitress susanna sang happy birthday to her with a little bun and candle on it which was fun. She was really helpful throughout the night and always had a nice smile on :) The food was great and honestly if you have the money to go eat all you can eat sushi you could come here to eat all you can eat sushi AND bbq at the same time

As a first time visitor in Montreal, food tast good, but doesn't feel like traditional Japanese Ramen. We are not that hungry so only ordered 2 ramen and 1 udon for 3 of us. This is more fusion of Japanese and Chinese. When we visited, there're only 2 staffs at the front, but they tried very best to serves us, no complain on that.

Stopped in for ramen during our stay in Montreal (my favourite)! Sumo Ramen blew me away. I had a vegetable ramen with miso broth and my fiancé had the spicy beef stew ramen and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was super kind and let us in last minute for a bite to eat. I10/10 would recommend eating here. Gonna have to convince my fiancé to come back tomorrow!!!

We visited on a Friday evening around 7 PM and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, which seems typical for the time. Once seated, the food came out quickly—within 5–10 minutes. I had the dan dan noodles, and they were flavorful and delicious. The texture of the pulled noodles was especially impressive—fresh, chewy, and clearly made with care. I also ordered an egg with my noodles, but unfortunately, it never arrived. My husband had the traditional noodles with extra meat. He thought they were just okay—the broth was average and didn’t stand out much. Overall, I’d definitely return for the dan dan noodles and those amazing pulled noodles, but I hope the service is a bit more attentive next time.

Totally recommend this amazing place to get authentic and delicious Lanzhou noodles. For noodle thickness, I recommend 3rd thickness. Service: The waiters were nice, but there was a long line to get in (which is understandable for a popular spot). Atmosphere: Love! I adore the way it is decorated in Chinese style. Food: My family ordered the traditional Lanzhou noodles, beef tendon noodles, and zhajiangmian (dry soybean noodles in English I think). The portions are huge. For example, someone ordered a medium yet they were unable to finish it. Not to mention, the price is very reasonable.

Dan dan noodles - on the drier side, nice twist, the spicy level wasn’t spicy at all. - Noodles were bouncy and soft, perfect. You could tell they were hand crafted - Meat to noodle ratio needs to increase. - Medium size is huge, its 2x portions. - The cucumber salad was a nice twist with the Sichuan chilis The server sneezed three times, apologized after the second time. He didn’t wash his hands and served water to the new table. The restaurant has a quick turnover rate. The food was delivered fast, it was hot and fresh. I wouldn’t order the Dan Dan noodles again, but might try another noodle soup dish.

A good place to enjoy a different experience, watching the preparation of the Noodles is captivating. There are always people waiting in line, and when you get a table, the service is quick. The downside is that the place is too small for the number of people who come to consume and in the summer season it doesn't have air conditioning. The portions are excellent and you leave very satisfied.

Do yourself a favor and go here. You can see them making their noodles from scratch right as you walk in. This place was bustling but the service was still fast and attentive. I ordered the Combo #3 vegetarian noodle soup with black egg and edamame salad with the #4 size noodle. It was pure comfort in a bowl. There is also a speciality grocery shop downstairs that has a little bit of everything!

Was here 7 to 8 years ago and remembered they had green chopsticks and the food was excellent. Orders a pho with rare beef and vegetables and the vegetables deep fried spring rolls. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked. The broth was aromatic not overly salty Which is quite rare ( excuse the pun) Washrooms are clean::: SUPER CLEAN. I have to say I have not been to an Asian restaurant with washrooms this clean!! Service is friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

Best pho in the city! Good and fast service. Servers are kind, quick, and helpful. Their pho with grilled chicken is too good. Chicken is grilled to perfect, so flavorful and soft. Veggie spring rolls are also really good. I loved their grilled beef and chicken with rice and salad. The quality is always the same and they never miss! Highly recommend if you’re looking best pho in the city.

Place is very simple, but sooo good! Pho bo is iconic: huge portion, excellent taste. They also serve free tea, and it is so cute ☺️ But you can pay only with cash here
