We had dinner outdoors on the patio of this restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. It was recommended by our guide, and we are glad we came.
Despite the line to get in, we didn't have to wait long. The crêpes were excellent, and the Blanche de Chambly beer had a unique flavor; it is described as tasting like pear, but it definitely tastes like banana. The service was fast, and the staff was very professional. We finished off with a visit to the inner courtyard, where live jazz was playing. It had a great atmosphere, though it certainly would have been hard to hold a conversation there. Highly recommended.

Now this is how you make ribs!
Overall, a great vibe, food was good, service was nonexistent, and the live music was great.
The line wasn’t too long, and the patio is very nice. However, it took 23min for a staff member to come by, so good thing we have live music. The food was delicious, and the poke was nice and fresh. The ribs were remarkable, honestly, very surprised.
Would definitely recommend & be coming again.

My favorite restaurant in Montréal! The food, service, and ambiance are all top-notch. The live music makes the experience truly special and unforgettable. It genuinely feels like you’re in the heart of Paris. Highly recommended!

Food is really average, I live in Toronto, we can find a lot of better restaurants with same price. I ordered a chicken poke bowl, a claw chowder and a cup of coffee, with tips I paid 58 dollars. The lady guided me to the seat offered me a tilted table, I asked her to offer me a better one, obviously there were many good places to seat. The atmosphere is nice. By the way, tables and chairs are grassy and ugly.

Amazing jazz and vibes, but the food is just okay! Jardin Nelson has an absolutely beautiful hidden courtyard with an incredible atmosphere. It was crowded and lively, and the live jazz show was fantastic! They also have a huge selection of great drinks and specialty coffees.
I tried a main (the Montreal Smoked Meat) and a dessert, but the food was just ordinary and not very impressive for the price.
Verdict: 10/10 for the music and ambiance! Highly recommend coming here to grab a drink, listen to the jazz, and enjoy the beautiful setup, but keep your expectations baseline for the food.

We truly enjoyed our meal. The attention to the flavour , texture and presentation was perfect. The service was excellent. It was a recommendation from the concierge as we wanted a special place to celebrate our anniversary
The only thing I could not get my head around was the decor. It was dark and cellar like.

Everything, from service to the food, was on point.
Intimate and chic, the seasonal rotating menu is sure to satisfy everyone in your party. While my tablemates all had appetizers, I only had a main so I'd be able to save room for dessert...

Decent food. Decent service. Decent atmosphere. Felt a little bit like I was experiencing the emperor's new clothes. Didn't hate it, didn't love it.

My partner and I absolutely loved our visit! From start to finish, every dish blew us away. The oysters three-ways were fun and delicious, the scallops were perfectly cooked and the braised piglet risotto was just as impressive. The duck was a huge portion and also perfectly cooked. All the flavours were so well balanced and rich without being overwhelming. The hojicha dessert was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to come back!

The restaurant itself is nice.
But surprisingly food and service were not that good considering the price.
Entree salmon was surprisingly so fishy, I didn’t expect the unpleasant smell of dish in such a fancy restaurant. Furthermore, quantity was insanely small.
And most of all, quality of service was not matched.
Surprisingly the waiter was not trained well and I almost bumped more than 4times with waiters during the dinner.
Even tho it was busy hour, It’s never happened before in other restaurants. Or if it happened usually they aware, but they didn’t seem even aware this.
The space between tables was so narrow and waiter doesn’t seem care to bump customers’ chairs during serving.
Serving speed was extremely slow.
We were waiting almost 20mins between meals.
I’d recommend go other restaurants with this price

From the moment you step in, very warm and romantic ambience.
We shared two dishes. The mushroom risotto (special of the day) was excellent. Very flavorful.
The confit duck leg tasted perfect.
Not overly expensive like some of the other italian places in the area.
Thanks for the lovely meal.

I visited this place for the second time, and I can now confidently say that their pasta is among the best I have ever tasted. The spaghetti is fresh and cooked perfectly, hitting that exact sweet spot between al dente and soft. They offer a wide variety of options that cater to all tastes. I personally love their lobster pasta, but the other dishes are excellent as well; just choose what fits your preference and you will likely enjoy it.
They also offer a complimentary salad bar, which is a generous and great touch.
Pasta prices range between $20 and $40. Given the large portions, the free salad bar, and the high quality, the pricing feels incredibly fair.
The service here is excellent. The staff is professional, and they even offer fresh parmesan right at your table.
Finally, I really love the decor, the seating, and the overall ambiance. It is the perfect spot to catch up with friends, talk, and enjoy a fantastic meal.

The linguine with blue cheese was incredible. The most inventive way I have had blue cheese. My family hates blue cheese and they all loved this dish. That says it all. Also had the boar rigatoni which was very good. The chicken parm was delicious and the lasagna was pretty good but that was the weakest dish. The service was top notch. The table bread came with some flavoured butter which was very nice. The all you can eat salad bar was a fun touch and and old school vibe I loved. The ambiance is amazing. The price was right. The wait is worth it. Just make sure that when you give your name you stay in line to hear your name called.

This is such a cute restaurant and the decor is absolutely amazing. I got the smoked meat pasta and it was AMAZING like genuinely I would eat that everyday for the rest of my life. I also got an apple martini and it was delicious we were a little disappointed by the salad bar because we thought it would be build your own salad but it’s just premade salads but they’re still really good. The garlic butter for the bread is also amazing. It’s cold so it doesn’t spread well and the bread is nothing special but the taste of the butter makes it all worth it.

The food here is excellent, but make sure to give yourself extra time. Great quality pasta's and appetizers. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow & even after asking to bring out plates as they are ready (after 30 minutes), it was another 20 minutes until they started rolling out. The staff were all very friendly, but there was no urgency. This is a nice spot to stop if you're exploring old Montreal & would like some quality pasta.

The service was fantastic! The food was cooked to perfection, and the drinks were made deliciously well! I had the riggatoni à la gio and it was perfection! So delicious!! I would highly recommend coming here if you’re in town! And our server, Yassine, was incredibly friendly and very professional! He made the experience better!

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. The pasta sauce tasted like it was right out of a can. There was no cheese, and the pasta didn’t taste fresh. My friends got the pizza, and it was also nothing special. We were there with a big group, and the service was at least decent and they brought our food fast.
However, the owner or someone working there came over and asked us to leave a positive review in exchange for a free tiramisu. It really felt like a tourist trap, especially considering the price. I paid about $37 for one bowl of pasta, and it just wasn’t worth it. I would not recommend this place.

Food is amazing to say the least. Atmosphere is wonderful, but I had to take off a star for the service. We sat for 20 minutes before even being greeted by a server at our table, and it took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Food came steadily after that but it was very difficult to get the attention of a server when we needed something. But honestly the food was wonderful.

Oh God, while I was separating some photos, just remembered this restaurant. So delicious, so tasty, that I don't have other comments. The waiter were very nice, always available and willing to clarify our questions about the menu. I don't know the inside ones, but outside seats are pet-friendly, which is perfect for our family. If you're looking for a great italian food, this restaurant is the place.

I got the #108 AD for togo and it was sooo tasty. Porkchop was fatty which I really love. Also the meat is tender. Staff was really nice. A must try ! I paid $16.90 for the meal and it was really worth it !

Huge portions. Excellent value. Very flavourful food. My husband and I shared the famous All Dressed Salt and Pepper Pork Chops with Rice, General Tao Chicken and Peanut Butter Wontons. The pork chops were way too greasy for my liking, but my husband loved them. I enjoyed the flavour, just not all the fat. The General Tao Chicken was oddly tough and chewy but the sauce was fantastic. I loved the peanut butter wontons.

It's a pretty large restaurant set upstairs in the Chinatown district. Only weird thing is you grill on parchment paper and keep replacing paper. They don't clear out grill. Taste is a little bit lowered by this.
We had the unlimited weekend menu
Bunch of sushi rolls and variety of deep fried appetizers and of course raw meats seafood veggies for grilling
4.0 stars is apt for this place. The food wasn't super high quality (what all you can eat place is?). But very solid fresh decent good quality. Some meat marinades were excellent, others so so. Sushi was also ok not super great. Standard quality not excellent or premium. Veggies for grill very good. Fish and seafood very good. Fried food not great. Skip that.
We had reservation for 24 . They gave us a almost private room. Service was very good generally. Table orders by QR codes sent to kitchen and brought out. While most items were included (no price listed). Some add ons like alcohol or other special sauces for example were extra with dollar amount at bottom.

First time at a Korean BBQ place. Food was delicious. Got right in around 1:30 pm without a reservation. You order via a QR code and a cute kitty robot brings it to you! Loved everything but the loud rap. It was unfortunately not censored so you might not want to bring children here. There is a large, steep flight of steps to enter the restaurant, so be aware of that. Not a problem for us. Not sure if they have an elevator. Pricing was good, $34 per person for all you can eat with a 2 hour table time.

Underwhelming Experience, nothing special we decided to give it a try to see if it was better than other spots we've been to. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing.
The sushi quality just wasn’t there, and the dessert lacked any appeal, though we still gave it a try. One unique feature is the robot that delivers your orders, which was a fun and interesting touch.
Portion sizes were decent, but the price didn’t match the quality. You could definitely enjoy better food elsewhere for the same cost.
The atmosphere was rather dull, although it was quiet which some may find relaxing.

We had an enjoyable lunch at Nouilles de Lanzhou, a restaurant specializing in authentic Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodles in Montreal’s Chinatown. This restaurant specializes in traditional Chinese hand-pulled noodles and braised beef noodle soup. The noodles are traditionally made fresh for each order. Visitors can watch the noodle-making process through the window.
The menu features a variety of affordable options like signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, Braised Beef Tendon Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles and side dishes such as Spicy Cucumber Salad, Edamame and Seaweed Potato Salad are also available. We ordered the Traditional LanZhou Hand-pull Beef Noodle and Zha Jiang Noodle with Homemade Pork Sauce. Both noodles tasted delicious and flavourful. They noodles tasted fresh with a chewy texture and the broth was light and savoury.

We were lucky to get a table for 5 people! Resto not busy. We ordered 4 vegie noodle soups and one beef noodle soup. Portion was very generous. We enjoyed all soups. Veggie Broth not as rich as meat Broth but this is why we liked it. Simple and yet still delicious. We love trying diffrent soups.

When we first came across this noodle shop, there was a size able line at the entrance. The wait is around 30 minutes at 1pm to get inside. When you get inside, you can see the noodles being made, which is cool!
The seating inside is modern and sleek, giving a very cozy fleeting with the stone tiles and walls. With being very clean. Especially the bathroom. Even though seating is small, it is very comfortable. But I suggest big families come ahead of time to find a table.
I ordered the vegetable noodle soup, with edamame with preserved vegetable coming out first. Which I gotta say came out with very little persevered vegetable and more just edamame alone.
It took 20 min for food to come out. The presentation could’ve been a little better. But the soup broth was very flavorful! I would say though I ordered the small size soup. But the amount of noodles I got were so much! So if you have a light stomach be sure to order small or get ready to take some home!
The noodles were rich as well, but the soup lacked many vegetable or plant protein. But that’s to be expected from a noodle specialty shop. I say if you’re vegan or vegetarian expect a lot of soft tender noodles, and I mean a lot. Also for the vegetable soup, it comes with an egg. You can request to not have it.
Overall if you like noodles you’ll like this place, but your expecting the soup to have tons of vegetables this isn’t the place

Classic spot in Montreal. Love the noodles.
The vegetarian soup is okay, I only wished they’d add some sort of protein to it, such as tofu. Service is very fast. The beef soup is exactly what it’s expected to be.

The place is very busy, but worth the wait. Getting to see the noodles being made is pretty cool. The flavours are excellent, the broth is rich and comforting, and the spiciness in the other dishes is just right. Everything comes together nicely in each bowl. A great spot for Chinese noodles!

I used to come here often. In fact, Pho Bang New York (not in New York) was the one that first taught me to appreciate this Americanized northern Vietnam dish more than three decades ago even though there were many pho places in town. The first day when I revisited Montreal recently, I brought my grown daughter to Pho Bang New York. We returned to this place several times during our short stay.
Their noodles are less bouncy than I prefer. But their meat cuts are superb, and their soup has a different emphasis from what I often get now. After all these years, they still keep their prices low, although they seem to have adjusted portions somewhat understandably due to inflation. Surprisingly, they now have a weekend special with ox tail soup. That soup has hot spices, and they offer a special hot sauce. You don't want to miss it if you visit on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday!
I still remember the weekend evenings when diners quietly - nay, loudly wait to enter near the small doorway at the plain-looking storefront. Today, people do the same. Their interior used be plain, too. But now, they have quite a bit of decors that look loud but do not necessarily go together. General atmosphere here is cozy. Staff speak fluent French and English - many speak Vietnamese, too.
Space is tight in this restaurant. So, expect some inconvenience if you visit during winter. (They now have a coat rack in the back although not many people notice that.) And prepare to pay cash. (How do you suppose they can keep price so low?)

The food is fresh and delicious, but the service was terrible. The staff were rude and made the experience uncomfortable. What bothered me the most was being pressured to pay a tip of over 15% in a cash-only restaurant.

I used to come here over a decade ago. Same menu, virtually the same prices, same cash only policy, even the same servers! I always get #1 small pho. Pho is fragrant, beef has depth, plenty of onion, scallion and cilantro to give it punchy flavour. Service is fast, too! Extra bonus: bathrooms are sooooo clean!!!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown Montreal for over 13 years — and it never disappoints! 💚
Their soups, fresh rolls, and noodles are always full of flavor and freshness — the true taste of Vietnam 🇻🇳🍜
I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and honestly, everything is delicious! 😋
I always bring my friends here, and everyone ends up loving it.
This place is always busy — there’s usually a line-up, and that says it all! People keep coming back because of the amazing food, friendly service, and consistent quality 🌟
It’s truly the best Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal, and it absolutely deserves its top ratings ❤️

Was here 7 to 8 years ago and remembered they had green chopsticks and the food was excellent. Orders a pho with rare beef and vegetables and the vegetables deep fried spring rolls. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked. The broth was aromatic not overly salty Which is quite rare ( excuse the pun) Washrooms are clean::: SUPER CLEAN. I have to say I have not been to an Asian restaurant with washrooms this clean!! Service is friendly and fast.
Highly recommended.
