The restaurant has a nice ambiance, the service could be better and the food was average 7/10. I was expecting more for a restaurant of this status. If you love food with a-lot flavours, this place has light seasoning, so something to keep in mind. Good dishes were shrimp tempura with mayo, roasted chicken and Brussels.

This is truly a fine establishment! I can only praise.
Everything from the appetizers to the desserts is simply spectacular, only surpassed by the flawless service.
The servers were very knowledgeable, attentive and courteous. Most restaurants would try to upsell and get you to order dessert but we actually appreciated that the server recommended dessert to us because it was truly that good!
The portions were also really good. You will not leave empty.

I'm not one to pay any particular attention to the service at a restaurant if the food is good, but the team here is so efficient it has to be mentioned. Attention to detail and care in the service and sharing of orders are unmatched. Food is also great. Ambiance is a little lackluster and feels like I'm at a random wedding hall for a dinner, but who cares when the rest of the experience is fantastic.

We booked Beatrice for our wedding and cannot recommend it enough. Daniela was fantastic throughout the planning process and a pleasure to work with. Claudio and team made sure everything was perfect and delivered an amazing service from early evening well into the morning; no request was too big or small. There was always someone checking on our guests while food came out like clockwork. Our bartender David was also incredible, personable and made amazing drinks and shots throughout the night while making time to chat and even take a few photos. Finally, the food was simply amazing and we received compliments with every course, and in messages in days after, including about the sommelier’s wine selection. Huge thanks to the team at Beatrice for making our big day an elegant, fun and delicious success.

Great service and atmosphere.
We had dinner with colleagues sharing plates, so we tried many different dishes. Some were amazing, some okay, but overall good experience.
Side comment on steaks: They were medium, even if we ask medium well, plus the sides were too cooked so it gave burnt aftertaste.
Staff is super friendly and professional.
Prices are somewhat fair for the quality.
Valet service is available.

Great spot for some tasty Mexican food with a vibrant atmosphere! The tacos were fresh and nicely presented, with a good mix of fillings and toppings. The rice on the side was flavorful and went well with the dish, though it could have been a touch warmer. The salad was fresh and crisp, though a bit more seasoning would have elevated it.
The drinks were the highlight — beautifully served, refreshing, and packed with flavor. The mango drink was rich and smooth, while the creamy white cocktail had just the right sweetness with a tropical touch.
The service was friendly, and the place had a lively vibe with fun décor, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy. Overall, a great experience — just a few small details away from being a solid 5-star!

A busy restaurant with a cool vibe, but patience is necessary when waiting for a table. While the food had really good flavour, everything came out cold so it made it less enjoyable. Sam was our server and busted his butt serving the masses. The owner and floor manager were definitely not in sync and that left staff and patrons frustrated. It also left a sour taste in our mouths when they seated a party of 7 ahead of our party of 4. When we asked why they were seated ahead of us, the owner said "because they're a party of 7"... we should have left at that point. Lesson learned. Dine at your own risk.

I went to 3 Amigos Montreal to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a fun experience! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfect for a special occasion. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly and even adding to the celebration vibe.
The food was delicious – fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I especially enjoyed the Quesadilla and Chimichanga. The drinks were also great and added to the festive mood.
Overall, it was a memorable evening, and I’d definitely recommend 3 Amigos if you’re looking for a vibrant spot in Montreal to enjoy good food, drinks, and celebrations.

Foods and drinks are both great. The price is very friendly. The atmosphere is positive and many people seem to have their birthday celebration here. Veggie Tostada was very tasty.

I’d rate 3 Amigos as an overall average experience.
I ordered the fish tacos, but unfortunately they tasted and looked a bit old and lacked much flavour, which was disappointing. I can’t speak on the other dishes since I only tried that. The sangria was okay, a bit sour.
Service was fine—nothing bad, nothing particularly standout either. Not terrible, but not somewhere I’d rush back to.

We stumbled upon this place and oh my god it was amazing. We mostly wanted a Guinness on tap, but saw the food and stayed for dinner. Highlight was the Sunday prime rib special - probably the best I’ve ever eaten. We also enjoyed the burger, salmon and lobster grilled cheese.

A beautiful historic pub with a fantastic vibe and a delicious bison burger (just like I remember it from 20 years earlier!)
We came here for comedy on the second floor - that was so much fun! Be sure to come early to get good seats and be aware because of the age of the building to arrive early
The staff were so fantastic and helpful for those in our group with reduced mobility - thank you!

A great atmosphere Irish pub. They have on the menu - unfortunately, only on the menu anymore - a challenge for their Guineiniss record book hot wings. Dear management: please, either make it worth it and give some reward for the challenge or remove the challenge from the menu.
Anyways, the Guinness record book hot wings were really good. Very hot spicy, but tasty spicy and good too. I'd highly recommend trying it. They have live music during the evening.

Great time at McKibbin’s! You must check out Monday Comedy (MTL Comedy Club) also on Monday night at McKibbin’s. It was great to enjoy great food and comedy on the same night.
We ordered the 1/2 McKibbin’s burger, substituted with salad instead of chips and the Quincy’s Quesadillas (roasted veggies). The Raspberry Mojito mocktail was a refreshing treat. Both tasted awesome. When we visit Montreal again will come back to McKibbin’s.

Been here several times, a regular spot for me. Nothing to note that other reviews have already done but I will note that there was an awesome dude woth a guitar there 2 or 3 weeks ago who sung johnny cash songs with a perfect ear and voice plus was accommodating enough to play an Irish song at the request of a customer which was pretty good form on his part.
Brightened my day that week after a long and tiring day of studying.

Thali is one of my favorite Indian places for a quick meal. The food is always ready, all you have to do is choose what you want. This is a family owned restaurant, the flavours are authentic and feel like it was home made. The only issue is the consistency, the food can taste slightly different from time to time depends on who is the chef on that day.
It is very cheap compared to other places in Montreal, for 15$ you can get a big plate with rice, lentil soup, naan, and 3 curries of your choice. My go to are the butter chicken and the palak paneer.
Cyril Abi Aad - 7 months ago
The place itself is not the greatest looking but the food is really good. We did order a thali and we could choose four options from the buffet. All the vegetarian ones were flavorful, good amount of spicyness, basically everything you want. The fresh garlic Naan was delicious as well as the fresh Mango Lassy. I will definitely come back when I am around.

In few words: big portions, affordable , and tasty. I love East Indian food and this little restaurant, who can hold around 20 people, have everything I love from hot spicy samosa to mild vegetables mix. They were patient with us and we had a great service. The only down side is it is very small but the food is worth it!

The service and staff were amazing, and the music was great. They even brought in a JUNO Award–winning artist—it was fantastic. We rang in the New Year with a package that included a charcuterie board, dinner, dessert, and a champagne toast at midnight. Such an amazing way to welcome the New Year.

The reviews of this club are all over the place, some are unfairly critical. It’s a lovely and intimate place to enjoy live jazz music. Intimate means it’s small and crowded, that’s why they offer multiple seatings. It’s a really great way to enjoy the music! The food was delicious, but with it being small and crowded, of course service may seem slow. To avoid that, come early and eat prior to the music so you can relax with an after dinner drink while listening to some of the best live jazz in town.

First time checking out Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill on a late Sunday night. There's up to 3 sets with cover ranging from free to $15.00.
The inside is intimate, dimly lit with a mix of seat options. Checked out a 10pm show (free cover) that featured a quartet but the show was only 35 min. Ordered a Belle Gueule blonde ($5.00) and Sauvignon blanc ($10.00). 3.5 stars.

Had a wonderful evening with an amazing CD launch. The vibe is always great … typical jazz room…and love the listening room rules. My only less than positive comment would be that there there were approximately three too many patrons sitting at the bar. We usually sit at the bar when we go to music and restaurant venues and this night it was actually too tightly packed where you had difficulty raising your elbows to cut your food. The food was however excellent once it reached our mouths.
Carol Sutherland - a month ago
Great venue for an intimate jazz experience. Food was good (had salmon and it was excellent, others in party had burger, steak and quesadilla which they said were ok) and service was better than expected after reading mixed reviews about service. Biggest issue was very talkative table next to us which took away from the experience. We would have liked to see servers address the talking as it escalated until the end of the show and that was even after someone in our party asked them to be quiet.
Overall a fun experience and will definitely recommend to others.

The dishes here offer great value for money. I highly recommend their signature Braised Beef Brisket Rice and Sweet and Sour Chicken.
The Braised Beef Brisket Rice comes with large, generous pieces of beef. The brisket is tender and well-infused with flavor, without being overly salty or loaded with monosodium glutamate (MSG) — it tastes just like a home-cooked dish. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is also excellent, and kids love it!
The restaurant’s interior is clean and tidy, and the open kitchen allows diners to see the cooking process, which makes you feel secure about your meal. I’ll definitely come back again!

Super tasty Rotis in the heart of downtown! It’s also pretty reasonably priced. I recommend getting the fried plantains. They’re perfectly cooked. Service was super attentive and really polite! Our server was wonderful (I believe her name was Latifa so thank you!)
Also note entrance is kind of confusing. You have to go through the entrance of chez Bong first and then take the door on the right and climb a flight of stairs. But it’s well worth it.

After the very bad experience I had with Caribbean Food Factory I still wanted Jamaican food. I was told by 2 different Jamaican women to try Mango Bay. So I decided to give it a go. When I arrived at the restaurant I was greeted by a gentleman to take my order. Wasn’t sure how it was going to go because when I asked if he could Escovich the Red Snapper he seemed overwhelmed by my presence and stated he couldn’t Escovich the Red Snapper because he needed time. I said ok....After he took my order he went to the kitchen and came back and said since it wasn’t too busy he would be able to Escovich the Red Snapper. He also advised that I call the next time to give him time to prepare the fish. I briefly told him what I went through with Caribbean Food Factory and that I wanted to come in person instead of having the food delivered. The ladies were on point. The fish was Escoviched to perfection. The rice n peas, plantains and yam were also delicious. I will definitely try Mango Bay again before I leave to go home. Also referred co-workers to the restaurant. As a business owner myself I’ve learned when you treat customers with respect and honesty they’ll be a customer forever.

This place has been on my bucket list for almost a decade, and finally I decided to go against my policy against waiting in line for anything and bit the bullet on a Friday night.
We got there early, so we had to wait out those who showed up at opening, it wasn't too bad, we had a spot inside to sit.
What I love about this place is that there's something for every taste and every budget.
My table mates were varied, from curious but cash strapped to down right picky, and everyone loved their meal. Simple soups and small appetizers, everything was really well done, with that perfect Japanese sense of balance. I went full baller mode. The smoked duck with garlic bread was fantastic, almost like a build your own bruschetta. I ordered the nakaochi, basically the tuna ribs where you scrape off the tender meat, it was amazing. My short rib curry rice was perfect, so was my +1's pork.
The desserts were simple but great.
Service was efficient, friendly and bilingual - or should I say, trilingual, my Japanese needs some work 😁
I had this place on a high pedestal for so long, and I'm so glad that it lived up to the hype and went above and beyond.
Be patient and get in line - I suggest not going there with a large group, space is limited. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Best restaurant in Montreal, we travel to Montreal at least twice a year to eat here! Get there before opening to avoid lineups, they don’t take reservations. Highly recommend eating any of the raw stuff, tempura green beans are crack, the katsu curry was probably the best katsu I’ve ever had. Never had a bad meal here.only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the tuna scrape as it’s quite pricey for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend for a group of more than 4 as it would be super tight, it’s a small place.

This is the most authentic Japanese style restaurant if you will. When K rate 5 start atmosphere don't be misled as if it is luxury, it is authentic and accessible. It is just warm and friendly and a memorable experience? Many places can't hit the food quality and the flavor! Staff are really helpful despite being overly busy! You will have to stay in a lonf line to get there, but it is worth it! There is a reason for that for many years!

After 6 years, it’s still Kazu that tastes the best for its price range. The atmosphere suits seasoned foodies. I order some appetizers and mains. The dishes come quickly and are served one after another, very suitable for two people to share.
Price-wise, with tax and tip, it came to $160 for two people, and even for two people who worked out, it was a bit too much food.
We ordered:
• Fried green beans ($12) – generous portion and delicious.
• Sashimi platter ($28) – tasty, but a bit small; just enough to get a taste.
• Lamb chops ($27) – very good, portion was on the smaller side.
• Pork shoulder ($27) – tasty and very large portion, but the center part of the meat was a bit dry.
• Squid salad ($16) – delicious, moderate portion.
• Beef heart ($12) – tasty, portion slightly small.
Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. The flavors were complex and high-end. The pace was fast, and the staff were warm, friendly, and eager to recommend dishes and drinks. At the bar there are hooks for bags under the table which is super convenient. We arrived at 5pm and didn’t have to wait, but by the time we left at 6pm, a long line had already formed.

We had such a great time at Spart Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, the chicken was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, with spices that blended beautifully. We also ordered a Greek salad, and the portion was very generous. The rice was fresh, well-cooked, and complemented the meal perfectly.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and the waiting time was impressively short. The staff were so kind and welcoming, when they found out where we were from, they even played some traditional music from our home country to make us feel at home.

In my opinion, one of the best places to enjoy a high-quality, wide-ranging breakfast 🍳 🥞/ brunch in the city center!

Good-quality brunches with generous portions. I ordered Choco Coco de Luxe which is a sweet crepe with strawberries, which also came with two eggs, potatoes, toast, and sausage. I wished they also had a small dish of fruit.
The regular coffee is refillable, which is great.
The only issue was that the waitress seemed a bit rushed and came by our table a bit too often to ask if we were done with our brunch. Other than that, everything was great—no complaints!
