The restaurant was truly a wonderful experience. My partner made a reservation for two people and it was truly marvelous. The restaurant's decor is simply magnificent. The staff is super professional, very cordial, and above all, very respectful. It truly was an incredible flavor experience. I'm someone who loves to try new flavors and it really didn't disappoint. Additionally, the service is very personalized. They even gave me a beautiful rose at the end of the dinner. The hostess, a super friendly and very nice girl. The thank you cards are very striking. It truly was a very pleasant experience and one that I recommend 100%!

1st and foremost, the greeting, kind staff, not afraid to use wit and humor, was willing to accommodate english speaking guests. The service was immaculate(timing between services). I'm not pushy on drinks, which I have to recommend all their cocktails looked amazing. As for the food, it stands for its reputation, unique, delicious, and love the concept for when we went. It is truly worth going it is an experience worth doing. The food presentation was next to none.

One of the finest innovative tasting menu I’ve had.
Came here on our first night in Montreal with a same-day reservation. The main dining room offered a direct view of the kitchen, and we liked its lounge-like ambiance. Shortly after being seated, we were bombarded with an assortment of amuse-bouche: Sea Lion Puffs, Scallop Crudo, and Onion Soup. The Sea Lion Puffs were particularly shocking. While the meat was slightly pungent, the novelty behind the puff was certainly commendable.
Each dish that followed was also flawlessly executed. Far from mundane, every item on the menu either offered a fresh perspective or a creative twist, and the presentation was consistently impressive. Standout dishes included the lobster cappuccino, the signature calamari, and the roasted lobster tail. I was initially skeptical about the concept of savory coffee, but the lobster cappuccino turned out to be more akin to a lobster bisque with a hint of coffee to enhance its creamy richness. Both the calamari and the lobster tail had exquisitely soft textures, and it almost seemed like they have perfected the art of delicate poaching.
The dessert course was an unforgettable finale to the tasting menu, perhaps the most memorable I’ve experienced. It began with a brief stroll to their upstairs “vault room”, a space thoughtfully designed to stir up childhood nostalgia. Here, we were treated to an array of small bites such as meringue, brownies, and cookies. Following this initial treat, we returned to our table to indulge in two more rounds of desserts. Among these, the standout for me was the Calvados-flavored 'Pomme d’amour.' The Lychee foam and lime zest added a sweet and zesty flavor, and I liked the touch of sparkling sugar, which added a pleasantly lingering aftertaste.
Overall, a sublime dining experience that’s worth every dollar. If you want a great introduction to an experimental tasting menu, I highly recommend giving them a try.

If you are looking for somewhere that can stimulate your taste buds and artistic mind, this is the place you should visit.
We tried the 10-course menu and 7-course children's menu. They were really good and we all had a good night here.
A credit to the restaurant is that it's kids friendly. My 9 years old boy really enjoyed the dinning experience here.

Where to even start reviewing this restaurant? We dined at the original restaurant in 2013 and had the best meal I had ever had until this one. We had the 8 course tasting menu and it's hard to say which is more exceptional - the service and presentation or the food. The whole experience is just over the top wonderful and the food was superb and perfect in every way. From lobster cappuccino to crab cakes to Montreal ice and then the special visit to the "store" - it was just beyond words. Just go!

Ordered the ribs. The price is more on the expensive side. Fries were great, but the ribs were dry and tasted like they had no sugar in them. Adding ketchup on the top/ having the chefs add it in the sauce recipe would seriously improve them.
I liked how the employees wore kilts to keep the theme of the pub.

I stopped in after a game at the Bell Centre, it's in a perfect location for pre or post-game food and drinks.
It was crowded and loud with a band playing, but, getting people in and out was handled efficiently.
The staff were awesome, friendly and the food and drinks arrived promptly. Our experience was positive overall.
I decided on poutine to eat. I appreciate that the fries were cut in house, they were made from small potatoes and the ratio of potato skin to potato was very high. There was so much potato skin in the order it was bordering on bitter. The majority of the potatoes (under the top layer in my picture) were bits and pieces mixed with slivers of potato skin. To their credit, the brown gravy and curds were good, as was the portion size.

Good variety of beer and food.
Food is pretty good.
The problem of this place is service.
It’s really disaster.
I’ve been at lunch time and pub was almost empty.
There were 2 waiters, what was more then enough for amount of clients.
But waiters had a zero attention to customers, were making mistakes in customer orders and in bills.
In my order out 4 positions 2 were with mistakes. Seriously?
While I was there another 2 customers had problems with their orders/invoices.
This ruins mood and willingness to stay there, especially when nearby there are other pubs.
P.s And after this experience they ask for minimum of 18% tips. Crazy.

Came here for their special spring break menu with 5 services for 75$. The lobster cappucino is amazing as always. The brioche bread was pretty good and the lobster risotto had a lot of lobster chunks in it. The steak was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The desserts were a bit of a let down.
The service was fast and the staff were very nice and friendly. The place is clean and nicely decorated.

Went there yesterday with a groupe of 6 people. Menu is limited but great options and food is great, kitchen is doing what they’re supposed to. Tartare prepared table side, meh, had better but was ok overall. Otherwise all plates were great. That said, the service and ambiance is where this place lack in my opinion. While the service is good and attentive, the 2 “head” arrogant waiters are very opinionated and keep making comments and “jokes” that were in some cases unnecessary even bother line distasteful. As for the ambiance, you’re essentially in the entrance of the Europea (sister restaurant), doesn’t have its own separate identity. Again, while the kitchen is delivering, I wouldn’t be back.

Came during mtl a table. They were understaffed but they did what they could. It's definitely more of an "adult" space, old timey classic think brown tufted leather benches and wood.
Food was good, the mtl à table price for 31$ 3 course was excellent so I can't comment on regular prices.
Portions and flavours were good but not spectacular, I wouldn't come back just for the food. I'd say it's more of a business type of place to grab a meal than a date spot for the younger generation.

We had a beer and a snack here. Service was excellent. We were greeted upon walking in, and the bartender came right over moments later. We started with a few beers, a pumpkin ale and strawberry blonde. The strawberry was better than the pumpkin, but both were good. We also had a pulled pork poutine, and some tacks which were delicious.

Lovely breakfast buffet. Very polite hostess. Excellent potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausages. The coffee is very vary good and they give you a thermos at the table. The waitress offered more coffee to go as it was a cold day. Worth dropping in even if you aren't staying at the hotel.

I'm conflicted with this review of L'O. The food was great but the service was really bad. I don't think intentionally, perhaps under staffed or new people but bad service. Did not feel like staff were focused. Waited too long to be seated as staff cleared tables when they could have simply cleared ours first and then focused on others afterwards. We waited nearly 10 minutes to get our order taken and we had to remind our waitress about our drinks after seeing others getting theirs. My wife received her food after others received their food who were seated after us. Icing on the cake was my meal came 13 minutes after my wife received hers. Waitress admitted chef made mistake, but I didn't feel like a valued customer. I do hope my experience is an anomaly. Disappointed because the food was really good. Debating if I want to try again.

It is a hotel restaurant, so you should not expect fireworks.Still, the food is good, and the staff is very friendly and quite attentive.
The wine cellar seems well equipped (although I have not tested it).
My brownie was quite fine, although I'd prefer it to be warm, to blend better with ice cream.

I’m here on business, and I’ve eaten in many 4-star hotel restaurants. This one, by far has stolen my heart. You would think if you’ve had one breakfast buffet, you’ve had them all. This one is much different. The fare is typical by most standards, but the care and quality of fresh ingredients, including fresh bruschetta for your creamy scrambled eggs was a perfect touch.
Montreal is fantastic for promoting local breweries. They also serve their pints with in house, thick cut and seasoned potato chips! I wasn’t starving, so some sides for dinner sounded great. The carpaccio and fried Quebec cheese curds hit the spot.
Don’t skip on this place if you’re staying here!

We were a group of four ladies who went to Montreal from Sherbrooke for a concert. Since the concert was an Italian opera singer and it was one of my friends birthdays we decided to have Italian! This restaurant was perfect!! The staff were all SO nice! Our waiter was able to answer all of our questions and made recommendations that were delicious!! They were very accommodating for our group and the food was DELICIOUS!!!! I only give it 5 stars because I can’t give it 10!

Made reservations for dinner about 6-7hrs ahead of time that day. Husband and I found this resto on Google maps. Wednesday night on September 13 at 815PM was our reservation time. Came in and immediately greeted and seated. After a day filled with eating and meeting amazing servers at various restaurants we decided to forgo appetizers and drinks and just split an entree and dessert since we were so stuffed. My main complaint is that the servers were not friendly at all with us. There were two servers coming to our table and moving around us, one of them would worldlessly set food (some sort of small complimentary appetizer with tomato and olives and bread with vinegar and olive oil) in front of us, barely looking at us while he did it. We didn’t order it, so you would think he’d explain what was in front of us, but he didn’t explain what it was at all. Not sure if he could speak English or not but like I said he barely looked at us and didn’t even smile even though I smiled and tried to make eye contact and even tried speaking a bit of French like we’ve been doing to the delight of other servers during our vacation here. Didn’t ask us if we had questions about the menu at all. And then the other server came maybe 2-3 times during our 1.5hrs there, barely spoke and yet I saw him checking on the other tables next to us repeatedly without their prompting/calling for him. I assume he was supposed to be our main server but again not sure bc the two servers barely gave us a second thought. Our food came, the Osso Bucco and no one ever came to ask if we liked the meal or to check on us (it was delicious thankfully).Part of the money spent at places like this is supposed to include great service as part of the experience, and I could see if they were understaffed but like I said, the tables around us got excellent service, the kind of service I’m used to experiencing no matter where I go. One of our servers was a darker slim gentleman and the other was a white balding older gentleman, didn’t even get their names because they didn’t bother to introduce themselves.
Didn’t even get dessert like I wanted bc the service was so offputting…and I did want dessert bc I asked at the beginning of the night and got told that I had to wait, and even though we sat with a clean plate no one came for 10 min meanwhile the table next to us got offered dessert with no prompting.

About a year ago it was way better. Recently they got the menu cut in half for beers and food. There are rumors they are closing permanently soon, that would be the reason. Service is getting worse, staff not too motivated.

Conveniently located right across the street from the Sheraton hotel if you plan to stay there this taphouse style bar has many beers on tap to choose from. Be ready to spend some $$ as the prices are quite high. I got one of the seasonal rotating brews which was like a Hefeweizen, very refreshing. The vibe was chill and quite when I arrived.

The selection of beers is really good. Even though there are just 3 (bottled) alcohol-free ones, otherwise it is pretty impressive.
The food itself is not particularly great, but not bad either.
Music is slightly too loud to comfortably run a conversation without putting a strain on your throat (a bit silly, I don't get why won't they turn it just a notch down).

Very nice and huge place, I like to give them 5 stars not because of the food which was not on the top to get 5 stars but because of how we were treated and served by Max our waiter, what an amazing guy! Super energetic, helpful, polite, funny with a good knowledge of their menu. He made our evening so much fun and happy. The food itself is ok, I was thinking that the schnitzel from the menu should be amazing which was just ok, the chimichuri salad was so nice. The beer was ok!

Came with a group of seven, which meant had to have the table d'hote. This was fine because it gave us a nice selection to share. When we arrived, the small spot was loud and already crowded for a Thursday night. It was a little too loud and crowded for a refined experience. We had a booth for 6, but remember, there were 7 of us, so it was tight quarters! We started with foccacia with excellent olive oil and spicy pepper dip. Entrees and pasta were substantial and flavourful. I enjoyed the burratta and gnochi. The ravioli was also a hit, with a nice toothsome feel to the al dente pasta. The steak and seared pork was excellent and well seasoned. They provided an order of giant seared scallops for our non-red meat eating friend. The scallops may have been the best thing on the table! The desserts were tasty but not exemplary, but the espresso drinks were very good. For $150 total per person, we felt we received plenty of food and options. However, the loud, hectic atmosphere and the very cramped seating detracted from an otherwise interesting gastronomic experience.

An evening well spent with the fabulous team at Nora Gray. We opted to have Lexi guide us through the menu, bringing us whatever selection of food and wine she saw fit.
The outcome was a delightful cross section
of the house favorites. The last included a memorable Grappa by Frank Cornelissen (Distillato di Magma) and a Fettuccini with beef Ragu that will keep Nora Gray in our thoughts permanently.
Go for the wine and food of course, but stay for the stellar service in the most intimate of rooms. Thank you for having us Lexi & Co. We look forward to many happy returns.

Everything from the cocktails we had(Negroni Sbagliado & Gimlet) to the amazing food (Burrata Salad, Porc, Anolini) to the desert(affogato) was presented with attention to detail and high quality ingredients.
I would recommend anyone with the budget to eat here.
