My boyfriend and I recently celebrated our 2-year anniversary at Jerome Ferrer, and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was great, and the service was impeccable. We've tried many restaurants in Montreal, but this is the first one we truly loved.
We opted for the tasting menu at $90 per person, which was their first night offering a 17-course service. The servers were still getting accustomed to the new menu, but they handled everything with perfection. The only downside was the large portion sizes; I was already full after the starters.
Fortunately, we were able to take home everything we couldn't finish. However, they forgot to include the desserts, which were two pear tarts, if I'm not mistaken. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience was exceptional.
With two champagne glasses and four wines, the total bill, including tax and tips, was around $430.I highly recommend!

We’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants in Paris and I came to Europea 9 years ago. But this visit we had today at Europea was extremely disappointing. The service was straightforwardly bad, so many things I can almost write an essay here but I don’t want to elaborate on them because it’s too much of a waste of my time. Actually to be more specific, the gentleman in chefs clothes is quite nice. But the servers in suits, man, I thought the tall slim guy who helped us was unprofessional enough, and then later an elder one was just straight up rude.
When we were in Paris and experiencing different Michelin star restaurants, we had fun discussing, okay this restaurant is good in this aspect, and that one is good in another aspect. But Europea? We literally don’t know how it got the star. The service is worse than most of the restaurants in Montreal and the food is not even that good. There’s no refreshing food to balance the greasy. Just greasy greasy greasy from beginning to the end.
The cotton candy is not even pink any more, that was the signature thing for Europea back when I visited 9 years ago.
Overall, we won’t come back to this restaurant again.

Exactly what you’d expect from Restaurant Jérôme Ferrer. The food was outstanding, creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was elegant without being stuffy, and the service was on attentive, professional, and warm. It’s a great way to enjoy high-end cuisine at a surprisingly reasonable price. A must try!

We took the 17 course tasting menu (two of us) and it was very tasty for the most part but the issue was that the servers brought us plates too quickly and too many at the same time. The whole thing was served in three bursts. We kept losing track of what we were eating and felt overwhelmed. One of the servers nearly spilled sauce on my new dress (good thing I had a napkin on my lap). Anyway, the food was good and drinks were fabulous and pretty (although those came 15 minutes later than the first 4 or 5 plates). They offered us a bottle of cider with desert to celebrate their anniversary (all tables seemed to have been offered the same). Overall, it was an experience we don't regret, but we both agreed we have no particular desire to be back.

We chose the 11-course tasting menu for dinner, priced at $235 per person. While the presentation of the dishes was elaborate, the flavors didn’t quite meet expectations.
The meal started with several small appetizers, including hanging beef jerky and a variety of other dishes that didn’t leave much of an impression. The only standout was the lobster cappuccino, which had a nice truffle aroma and a creamy texture.
Next came a brioche bread course, which felt unnecessary. The bread was fine but didn’t add much to the meal and seemed to be included just to fill the course count.
The main courses featured snow crab scallops, veal, roasted lobster, and deer. The snow crab was underwhelming, offering just a tiny amount of meat. The veal, prepared as braised beef, lacked depth of flavor. The lobster, while okay, was overshadowed by an unpleasant smoky flavor from the presentation. The deer was difficult to finish, as its strong, gamey taste didn’t pair well with the overly sweet sides.
For dessert, we had cotton candy, mini cream puffs, raspberry jelly, and an apple made from apple puree. While these were playful, they felt more appropriate for a casual setting than a fine dining experience. I would have preferred a more focused, thoughtfully crafted dessert.
Throughout the meal, many dishes were served with similar creamy sauces, making them taste quite alike. The restaurant also used smoky elements in the plating (like with the lobster), but unfortunately, the dishes didn’t capture that smoky flavour well.
The service also left much to be desired. They were quick to serve and clear dishes, but their level of attention and care was inconsistent. It felt like they were merely going through the motions, almost as if reading from a script. At one point, a server asked how the meal was, and when I responded with "it was okay," he seemed surprised and asked, "Just okay?" After I confirmed, he quickly moved on without any further engagement. This lack of genuine interest made it clear that the staff didn’t really care about our feedback or experience.
In the end, while the menu was varied, I would have preferred fewer courses with more attention to flavor. The focus on presentation seemed to overshadow the taste, making the experience feel more about style than substance.
Ps. The servers were

Ye Olde Orchard delivers the kind of warm, welcoming pub experience that’s hard to come by these days. From the moment you step in, the cozy, wood-paneled interior and the good music transport you to a charming pub somewhere in the Irish countryside.
Thanks to brad and Meika who provide the best service at the bar!
The food is consistently excellent—hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The braised beef and fish & chips are standout comfort dishes, while their selection of local craft beers and classic pints make the perfect pairing. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, which adds to the relaxed, communal vibe.
Whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in for a full meal with friends, Ye Olde Orchard strikes just the right balance between casual and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy good food, great drinks, and even better company

Great food and drinks at reasonable prices in a very pricey area. The young man running the place on Sunday night is amazing. He was busy, but attentive and we got our orders quickly. Would definitely recommend

We absolutely loved this pub (we went twice during our trip)! It is so cozy and in a fun location. The food was excellent, and the beer was fresh and crisp.
The staff was friendly, and the poutine was spot on. Give me a side of gravy and a straw, please! Loved the bangers and mash and the curry was delectable.
We highly recommend this as a spot to chill and unwind.

We live next door to the Orchard and we feel welcomed every time we come in….to the point they know our names and drink orders. Food is great - we’ve ordered just about everything they have and it’s always great pub fare. Staff is always friendly and responsive, and we’ve even hosted some larger parties here and they always are willing to accommodate us. Come in and have a drink and a bite.

We went here for their regular tasting menu but it so happened that it was during the ‘Montreal en Lumiere’ so we were surprised to receive a different tasting menu. We decided to stay and give it a try anyway but the food was just okay, forgetable even.
Service was excellent, they made us feel very welcome and special. We might come back for the other tasting menu as it’s the one that looks impressive.

A feast indeed as the menu name suggests (menu festin)! Everything was delicious but I always prefer the creativity of appetizers more than main dishes which are suberbly executed. We went home very full and with leftovers!

During our 4-day, 3-night trip to Montreal, the restaurant that caught my eye was Jérôme Ferrer. Known for its French-themed decor, professional service, and gastronomic excellence, it was top of my list. Though we could only fit it in for a final lunch before heading home, it did not disappoint.
We opted for the 3-course lunch menu, complemented by a first bite and dark chocolate, and included a glass of red or white wine.
- **Welcoming Dish**: Crostini with hors d'oeuvres of the day—simple yet crunchy, a perfect start.
- **Side Order**: Freshly served table bread with butter, accompanied by a mix of oil and balsamic.
- **1st Course**: Vinaigrette salad atop a warm buttered pastry, beautifully presented with balsamic vinegar on the side.
- **2nd Course**: Steak with a choice of fries or mashed potatoes (go for the mashed potatoes; they’re outstanding).
- **3rd Course**: Chocolate mousse, elegantly garnished with silver flakes and mineral gold.
To cap off our meal, we enjoyed housemade dark chocolate with a thoughtful note from the restaurant.
Overall, this lunch was one of the highlights of our trip and ranks among the top dining experiences.

Went on a Sunday and the vibe was off to me. Service was nice and effective, but the patron energy was off. The open mic was alright. There were some good entertainers. Beers were OK. Prices were a bit steep at CAD$9 per beer.

Our server was excellent—attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed. The pub had a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, making for a pleasant setting.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The nachos were topped with spaghetti sauce, and the quesadillas were stuffed with it as well. This unexpected ingredient completely overwhelmed the flavors, making the dishes unappetizing.

It is a hotel restaurant, so you should not expect fireworks.Still, the food is good, and the staff is very friendly and quite attentive.
The wine cellar seems well equipped (although I have not tested it).
My brownie was quite fine, although I'd prefer it to be warm, to blend better with ice cream.

I’m here on business, and I’ve eaten in many 4-star hotel restaurants. This one, by far has stolen my heart. You would think if you’ve had one breakfast buffet, you’ve had them all. This one is much different. The fare is typical by most standards, but the care and quality of fresh ingredients, including fresh bruschetta for your creamy scrambled eggs was a perfect touch.
Montreal is fantastic for promoting local breweries. They also serve their pints with in house, thick cut and seasoned potato chips! I wasn’t starving, so some sides for dinner sounded great. The carpaccio and fried Quebec cheese curds hit the spot.
Don’t skip on this place if you’re staying here!

Lovely breakfast buffet. Very polite hostess. Excellent potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausages. The coffee is very vary good and they give you a thermos at the table. The waitress offered more coffee to go as it was a cold day. Worth dropping in even if you aren't staying at the hotel.

I'm conflicted with this review of L'O. The food was great but the service was really bad. I don't think intentionally, perhaps under staffed or new people but bad service. Did not feel like staff were focused. Waited too long to be seated as staff cleared tables when they could have simply cleared ours first and then focused on others afterwards. We waited nearly 10 minutes to get our order taken and we had to remind our waitress about our drinks after seeing others getting theirs. My wife received her food after others received their food who were seated after us. Icing on the cake was my meal came 13 minutes after my wife received hers. Waitress admitted chef made mistake, but I didn't feel like a valued customer. I do hope my experience is an anomaly. Disappointed because the food was really good. Debating if I want to try again.

Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and served, and absolutely delicious. Attentive and kind staff - Water and wine glasses were never empty. Shout out to the lovely bartender who made us delicious drinks!
My party had an incredible time being well taken care of by Lavi and his staff. Above and beyond type of hospitality, no request was impossible for them.
Highly recommend for any special event. They will make you feel truly celebrated. It was an honour dining at Da Vinci. Big thank you to the team.

Super friendly staff and exceptionnal service.
Food was amazing. Me and my wife altogether had antipasti: octopus, burratta and as main courses: osso bucco as well as king crab raviolis.
Nice italian music was playing in the background.
Well worth the higher price tag. We will definitely be going back!
Take this review from foodies that love to try a lot of different Montreal restaurants. I am also not that much of a google reviewer so if I did, it means it was well worth it.

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary as family gifted us with gift cards.
It is a quaint little restaurant in the heart of downtown. The food was very tasty, the presentation was very pretty, the portions were good, the service was fast and efficient (although the attention we received was overkill - the waiter, although very kind, checked in on us literally every 5 minutes)
We were disappointed with the risotto as we expected a thicker consistency, but it was too ‘soupy’ in our humble opinion.
The resto serves the cutest complimentary appetizer (first picture- we were 2 so there were 2 of each item).
I do recommend if you don’t mind spending $$ as the food is excellent, however, the prices are over what I am willing to spend for dining out and so would not return (A bottle of Perrier is $12, my 3 shrimp appetizer is $48, etc)

Great ambiance. Classic steakhouse. They dry age their meat at least 30 days. Service is what you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. It is exceptional. The team took care of our party of 5 really well- no complaints. They also come and show you the steak that they will be making for you before they make it which is quite nice. The last time I went they had a few items which they didn’t have this time. Maybe they were specials? The last time i went, they had a cap steak which is supposed to be most flavourful part of a rib-eye.

The service from the moment you walk in the door is superb. The food, presentation, service, and ambience, are all a great upscale experience. For example, we all walked in with laptop bags and they stored them for us securely. All the staff were very accommodating, observant, and there to serve. The waiters offered a few suggestions to share to keep costs down. (Note that the restaurant is upscale and a bit pricey). The steaks we had could easily be shared by 2 or even 3 people. I had the unique opportunity to talk to an assistant chef that previously worked there, and he had only the best to say about the restaurant, the food quality, the chefs, and the overall management. He said, "you picked the right place."

Incredible dining experience. This place is not just your typical steakhouse. The menu is very extensive and includes a nice pic of seafood and steaks. I would highly recommend the tartare and they'll give table side service so you get to see it mixed in front of you. For the main entrees they bring the meats to you before they cook them so you get to see the raw cut (first time a restaurant has ever done this for me). I chose to get the lamb as my main and loved it. The rest of my table got steaks and they were some of the biggest steaks I've ever seen. I think the best part was the side dishes which rivaled the meat for which was better and made it difficult to finish the meal (but of course we did). We got 4 desserts (chocolate souffle, creme brulee, death by chocolate, and cheesecake) for a table of 6 and somehow managed to finish those too. I'm usually not a fan of cheesecake but this one was amazing. Pricey but worth it (and it can be not too pricey if you just don't choose the most expensive steaks).

The moment you walk in the door you can sense something is different about this restaurant. The staff at La Queue de Cheval are amazing and are what really take things to the next level. They took the time to personalize the experience by introducing themselves, attending to our every need and ensuring we had everything required for the ultimate dining experience. From the first app to dessert, the food was fantastic. I travelled from out of town and will certainly be returning the next time I am in Montreal...with hopefully less snow!

I came in very hungry. I ordered a slice thinking it wasn't going to be good as the other restaurants in this area. It was made perfectly. Thin, crunchy crust. Sweet tomato sauce. Piping hot right out of the oven. I ordered three more slices and I will gladly say it was a perfect price for a midnight snack. I will be back again!

Late night pizza joint catering to the drunk after bar/club crowd. Prices are rather high and they never have plain pizza so they can charge more. They do have a good selection of strange toppings and condiments. Not the cleanest place and they are only open at odd hours, never daytime.

When we walked into the restaurant the male worker was too busy talking to his friend and did not even acknowledge until we told him we wanted to order...meanwhile the restaurant was empty! Once we asked the guy that we wanted a large pizza he claimed the smallest size he could make was an extra large...that makes no sense because he was making the pizza for us from scratch and was able to make whatever size we wanted. Once the pizza was ready he left it on the counter and did not even let us know. A customer walked in after us and the worker did not acknowledge him at all until after our pizza was made. Poor poor service.

The food and atmosphere were incredible. We ordered the beef appetizer with their focaccia and the mushroom pasta special and pork dish. I would recommend to anyone!

Maybe I had too high hopes for Nora Gray, because last night’s birthday dinner with my wife was a bit of a letdown, and I’m blaming the wine. We ordered the “Teresa Cascina Tavijn” red Italian wine, which was far too acidy and lacked a complexity of flavour. Choosing the wrong wine is so important. It can make or break and evening at an upscale restaurant like Nora Gray. Our waitress was amazing and gave us an in depth explanation of the food and wine, so it’s nobody’s fault but our own for choosing one that wasn’t to our tastes. Nora Gray’s service and atmosphere is truly top notch, in this warm and cosy nook of a restaurant. One of the highlights of the evening was the “Flétan de la Gaspésie, salsa d'oignons brûlés, petit lait, Ciabot del Moreto '20”, which was a powerhouse of flavour and left us both raving. The “Viola Olive Oil” from Cucina Imports that we asked to be poured on a small dish was one of the best olive oils I’ve ever tasted, and well worth the $4 fee. It was perfect for wiping up with the “Focaccia Maison”. Unfortunately, one of the low points of the night was the “Battuta de boeuf, puntarelle, anchois, ail” which was far too chewy for a tartare. Tartare is supposed to be so tender that it melts in your mouth, but this was so gummy that I had to give up on champing and hide bits of half eaten beef in my napkin. Another dish that was less than memorable was the “Farro de Pacina, jus de volaille, poivre”. So, at one point our night out wasn’t looking great, but thankfully it was saved by a mind blowingly spectacular desert called the “Mousse chocolat et ricotta, crème à l'huile d'olive, noisettes”. It was a prefect blend of sweet, salt and more scrumptious olive oil. In the end, I would recommend giving Nora Gray a try and hopefully you’ll have better luck with the wine. I heard that they have an outdoor patio in the summer time, which sounds like fun.

Service was super friendly and attentive, really described every dish well and helped with the wine pairing as well. music and decor were a vibe
The halibut melted in your mouth, the snow crab pasta special had a decent amount of snow crab, they had a really nice coffee Negroni, perfectly balanced. The olive oil ice cream worked well and is a must try along with the best amaretti cookies I've ever had (they had that soft chewy inside, hard crisp on the outside texture that I love about macarons). Affogato was typical but nice.
I wouldn't recommend the beef tartare type dish (overpowered by the fennel) or the cod stuffed pasta (small portion, nothing memorable).

We were fortunate enough to get a last minute table during the Easter long weekend. The food was delicious! We enjoyed every second of it. The cocktails were perfect!

this was a wonderful saturday night meal with the family. a super elegant spot with a calming and cozy aesthetic. from the wine to the pasta everything was divine. we got a half plate of each pasta, the beef tartare, shrimp, olives, focaccia and every dessert. highlights were the lemon butter pasta and the chocolate mousse. the wine was incredible too. great service, great vibes, amazing food. what a perfect for spot for a date night too. immaculate.
