The service at Europea is high level, the staff is knowledgeable, proactive, and deeply professional, but the kitchen seems to be relying on the fact of having a Michelin star. While the presentation is theatrical, the technical execution is surprisingly flat. In high-end gastronomy, you expect the flavors to be vibrant and precise, but many of the plates felt flat and totally unsalted. Unfortunately the technical execution in the kitchen has taken a backseat. It’s worth seeing once for the spectacle, but for a palate driven meal, there are  more options in the city. Great theater, but the flavors simply aren't meeting the prestige.

I had a fantastic experience here. It was my birthday and I did the tasting menu. They made sure my wine pairing glasses were well topped up for my birthday and the staff was very friendly and even gave me a birthday treat at the end that wasn't on the menu. The tasting menu was such an experience. The flavors, colors, textures. It was incredible. 10/10 worth it. At the end they let me into the kitchen to show me how things were done. I have nothing but good things to say about all the kitchen and restaurant staff, and the food!

I visited Restaurant Jérôme Ferrer – Europea during my recent trip to Montreal came here for dinner meal, mainly because it holds a Michelin star and I was curious to see how it compares. Having dined at all the Michelin-starred restaurants in Toronto, I came in with fairly high expectations. Overall, Europea did a great job when it comes to service and presentation. The dining experience feels very theatrical, with creative and interactive ways of serving dishes that definitely make the meal memorable. The staff were attentive, professional, and clearly put effort into creating a unique atmosphere. That said, the food itself didn’t quite meet my expectations. While the presentation was impressive, I found many of the flavors to be overly heavy and not as refined or refreshing as I had hoped. Some dishes leaned too rich, which made it harder to fully enjoy the progression of the tasting menu. There was also a small but notable hiccup with the experience. We had made a special note that the dinner was for an anniversary, but it was mistakenly celebrated as a birthday instead. It didn’t ruin the evening, but it did take away from what was meant to be a more personal touch.

Got to this restaurant because it was a birthday, but didn’t get anything special, despite we told the waiter about it. Overall experience was ok. Maybe because I visit too many high end restaurants, and this one just happen to miss the mark. Pretty expensive for what it’s. Portions were not great for the price. Which is normal since you are in downtown paying crazy rent. So yea, the restaurant needs to make a profit but rent takes a lot in the expenses. So the experience :We were probably assigned to a new waiter, since he wasn’t sure what he is saying, the girl who help clean up at least knew alittle bit more about her job. After I got out of the restaurant I acknowledged it was a Michelin star! Wow how did this restaurant get a star? Well probably the judges should really just stick to reviewing their Michelin tires at this point, I remembered hearing alot of chefs talking about Michelins ratings as a joke and a way to boost tourism. I guess I understand now. Well if you got money to spare and don’t mind helping economy I invite you to come by and help them out :)

My best friend and I went last week and enjoyed the tasting experience. I wanted to wait to write my review because I was conflicted due to the fact that food was incredible. The chef is an absolute genius and every single item that hit our table was unique and delicious. The presentation was impeccable and well thought through. You can tell the man takes great pride in his artistry. We were both full and felt like we got our moneys worth for the food and experience. We’ve done a few Michelin Star tastings and left him hungry, so this was a pleasant surprise. The conflicting part is that the service was not good at all. We were crammed in a side room and felt like it was a commercialized turn and burn from there on out. There was young gentleman we looked forward to when he dropped a dish off because he would take time to explain the dish and how to best consume it. Our primary server however would literally drop the dish off and quickly walk off with no explanation. We got to a point where even though the food was great we were just going to leave. After being disappointed about service I was also given the wrong coat upon our departure which may not have bother me as much if we didn’t have the other occurrences. I would recommend this place for the sole fact that the food was truly that good and to us outweighed the poor service. Last thing i’ll mention is that all staff spoke English very well which we appreciate and respect.

We came into town from Kingston for the F1. There 5 nights, with the plan to visit different pubs/bars every chance we got. Discovered this place on the first night, and we went back the next day for lunch. And dinner. Then the next day. And the next. And the next. Top notch staff. Fantastic beer selection. Very good food with a great selection. Great prices. Can't say enough good things.

Landed in Montreal last night for a vacation to see some hockey games. Our flight was late and we were late getting to our hotel so we walked across the street to this pub. Fairly busy for a Wednesday night which is always a good sign. Lots of big screen TVs to watch the hockey game. Service was excellent. We were checked on frequently. The food arrived quick. Excellent pub food. The chicken tenders were fresh. The hot sauce was a good level of spice. We would definitely go back again.

Late dinner for two at the pub. Server was friendly and the place wasn’t crowded. Television was showing women’s hockey which was cool. My food came hot and I liked the tasty fries. Been here before and would recommend it for fun night.

We love the Olde Orchard Pub. The staff takes care of you very well. The menu is great and the draught beer selection is excellent. We love food and drink options and we try to come here every time we are in town.

By far my favorite wings in the country so far. I travel coast to coast frequently and haven't found better. I do the Kick Ass dressing. I haven't figured out what they do to cook them but every trip to Montreal I visit for wings. Keep up the good work.

A feast indeed as the menu name suggests (menu festin)! Everything was delicious but I always prefer the creativity of appetizers more than main dishes which are suberbly executed. We went home very full and with leftovers!

Nice experience, opted for the tasting menu so, 7 course meal, perfectly sized portions and all dishes were a surprise, based on chef’s daily creations. Wine pairings offered as well , unique dessert. Quiet and unique ambiance. Best to reserve and special occasions can be outlined, the restaurant offers special dessert and gift at the and of your meal.

We went here for their regular tasting menu but it so happened that it was during the ‘Montreal en Lumiere’ so we were surprised to receive a different tasting menu. We decided to stay and give it a try anyway but the food was just okay, forgetable even. Service was excellent, they made us feel very welcome and special. We might come back for the other tasting menu as it’s the one that looks impressive.

During our 4-day, 3-night trip to Montreal, the restaurant that caught my eye was Jérôme Ferrer. Known for its French-themed decor, professional service, and gastronomic excellence, it was top of my list. Though we could only fit it in for a final lunch before heading home, it did not disappoint. We opted for the 3-course lunch menu, complemented by a first bite and dark chocolate, and included a glass of red or white wine. - **Welcoming Dish**: Crostini with hors d'oeuvres of the day—simple yet crunchy, a perfect start. - **Side Order**: Freshly served table bread with butter, accompanied by a mix of oil and balsamic. - **1st Course**: Vinaigrette salad atop a warm buttered pastry, beautifully presented with balsamic vinegar on the side. - **2nd Course**: Steak with a choice of fries or mashed potatoes (go for the mashed potatoes; they’re outstanding). - **3rd Course**: Chocolate mousse, elegantly garnished with silver flakes and mineral gold. To cap off our meal, we enjoyed housemade dark chocolate with a thoughtful note from the restaurant. Overall, this lunch was one of the highlights of our trip and ranks among the top dining experiences.

Cracking atmosphere with a live band, was quite loud so hard to talk especially when the place is busy but really lovely atmosphere to be around so many others. Good selection of beers made on site at their brewery, some other drinks other than beers you can have too but you go for the beer. A good visit if you want a drink.

Cozy little brewery in Montreal! We were here for the day and stopped in to have a local beer and the pulled pork poutine. Was top tier. The bar tender was friendly and it was nice to talk to some locals at the bar. Was a very warm and inviting atmosphere especially with it being so cold outside. A full bar, small tables, and a little stage inside. Wish we got to see some live music, maybe next time. Overall, great beer and poutine!

This is a solid spot to stop in for a quick pint and some genuinely good beer. We dropped by on Saturday before a concert at the Bell Centre and were pleasantly surprised. Service was fast, and there was plenty of space when we walked in. I had the nut brown ale, which was smooth and well balanced. My wife went with the West Coast IPA and enjoyed it just as much. Two beers for $20 isn’t bad for downtown Montreal, especially on Crescent Street. They offer around a dozen house-brewed beers on tap, along with a few guest taps. Overall, a reliable place to grab a beer before an event.

Had the pleasure of hanging out with the crew of Brutopia while I was in downtown Montreal visiting. This is a super great spot if you like craft beer, local entertainment, and a laid back chill environment. The only improvement I can think of is that my tacos were a bit overcooked and dry. Other than that small misstep this place is wonderful and I will be back! Thank Brutopia crew!

Stayed at the hotel. Ate here 3 out of 5 nights, over the Grand Prix weekend. Food is fantastic,service is great the staff are brilliant. One night clashed with the play off hockey so it was loud and busy. So was a bit of a wait. Quesadillas starter are lovely 🤤 and a serving can be shared.

It is a hotel restaurant, so you should not expect fireworks.Still, the food is good, and the staff is very friendly and quite attentive. The wine cellar seems well equipped (although I have not tested it). My brownie was quite fine, although I'd prefer it to be warm, to blend better with ice cream.

I’m here on business, and I’ve eaten in many 4-star hotel restaurants. This one, by far has stolen my heart. You would think if you’ve had one breakfast buffet, you’ve had them all. This one is much different. The fare is typical by most standards, but the care and quality of fresh ingredients, including fresh bruschetta for your creamy scrambled eggs was a perfect touch. Montreal is fantastic for promoting local breweries. They also serve their pints with in house, thick cut and seasoned potato chips! I wasn’t starving, so some sides for dinner sounded great. The carpaccio and fried Quebec cheese curds hit the spot. Don’t skip on this place if you’re staying here!

We were staying at Novotel and didn't want to wonder around to find a restaurant, so had dinner at l'O. To our surprise the food was very good. We had salmon, cod, and linguini. They were all well prepared the fish was to the point, accompanied by variety of vegetables and orzo. The service was very good and friendly staff.

When you enter you feel a warm atmosphere that combines the old and the new. One waiter got upset very loudly at other waiters and it happened a couple of times, it distracted us from the quiet and comfortable setting. The menu is pretty diverse. We had a great waiter. We ordered the filet mignon and osso bucco. The filet mignon was not properly cooked. The waiter promptly offered complimentary wine glasses; a nice gesture. The drinks were nice. The deserts were a bit disappointing the cheese cake was very fluffy and had no density. The molten chocolate cake was not what you usually expect it was more of a mousse.

Da Vinci delivers on ambiance and service! this is a genuinely elegant restaurant with polished, attentive staff and food that tastes great. A special shoutout to Vince, who was an outstanding host. He kept the restaurant open late so our group could finish up at our own pace, which meant a lot for a big bachelor party group. Our server was fantastic too, great service and kept us laughing all night, which really added to the atmosphere. Be prepared: portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price point, and the drinks bill will likely be the biggest line item on your tab. Worth a visit for a refined dining experience, but go in with eyes open on the cost.

Had an amazing experience here for my girlfriend’s birthday! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the seafood pasta, which was fresh and full of flavour, and my girlfriend loved her butternut squash ravioli. We started with the salmon tartare and beet salad, both delicious and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive, super attentive and friendly all night. The atmosphere was immaculate, perfect for a special occasion. Vince even came to sit with us, which made it feel really personal. They also treated us to their famous tiramisu and a limoncello digestif such a great touch. Highly recommend!

Great ambiance. Classic steakhouse. They dry age their meat at least 30 days. Service is what you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. It is exceptional. The team took care of our party of 5 really well- no complaints. They also come and show you the steak that they will be making for you before they make it which is quite nice. The last time I went they had a few items which they didn’t have this time. Maybe they were specials? The last time i went, they had a cap steak which is supposed to be most flavourful part of a rib-eye.

The service from the moment you walk in the door is superb. The food, presentation, service, and ambience, are all a great upscale experience. For example, we all walked in with laptop bags and they stored them for us securely. All the staff were very accommodating, observant, and there to serve. The waiters offered a few suggestions to share to keep costs down. (Note that the restaurant is upscale and a bit pricey). The steaks we had could easily be shared by 2 or even 3 people. I had the unique opportunity to talk to an assistant chef that previously worked there, and he had only the best to say about the restaurant, the food quality, the chefs, and the overall management. He said, "you picked the right place."

Incredible dining experience. This place is not just your typical steakhouse. The menu is very extensive and includes a nice pic of seafood and steaks. I would highly recommend the tartare and they'll give table side service so you get to see it mixed in front of you. For the main entrees they bring the meats to you before they cook them so you get to see the raw cut (first time a restaurant has ever done this for me). I chose to get the lamb as my main and loved it. The rest of my table got steaks and they were some of the biggest steaks I've ever seen. I think the best part was the side dishes which rivaled the meat for which was better and made it difficult to finish the meal (but of course we did). We got 4 desserts (chocolate souffle, creme brulee, death by chocolate, and cheesecake) for a table of 6 and somehow managed to finish those too. I'm usually not a fan of cheesecake but this one was amazing. Pricey but worth it (and it can be not too pricey if you just don't choose the most expensive steaks).

The moment you walk in the door you can sense something is different about this restaurant. The staff at La Queue de Cheval are amazing and are what really take things to the next level. They took the time to personalize the experience by introducing themselves, attending to our every need and ensuring we had everything required for the ultimate dining experience. From the first app to dessert, the food was fantastic. I travelled from out of town and will certainly be returning the next time I am in Montreal...with hopefully less snow!

A super convenient option before a hockey game. Everything is very well organized and timed, and it’s great that you can keep your table throughout the game and come back during intermissions. The buffet offers plenty of variety (meat, fish, salads, desserts, something for everyone), and the service is quick and efficient. It does get quite loud and very busy, but that also adds to the lively game-night atmosphere.

Have only come here for events hosted by companies (manufacturer/vendors in IT industry). The interior design is very nice and perfect for small events like this. The seating is good, there is a bar, a buffet area, dining area. The food is very good and the staff are friendly.

Service is good. So many choices for pizza. The chef is very talented and innovative. He invents and make many kinds of mouth watering type of tasty pizza. My personal favourite is the Orion special pizza. Nice and thin crust, good sauce, with arigulas, and lots of good meats! 😋👍🍕🍕🍕❤️

Late night pizza joint catering to the drunk after bar/club crowd. Prices are rather high and they never have plain pizza so they can charge more. They do have a good selection of strange toppings and condiments. Not the cleanest place and they are only open at odd hours, never daytime.

Below average experience. The food was honestly not good. The spaghetti alla bottarga got no unami flavor, we couldn’t taste any fish toe but just strong acidity from the lemon, which was way too overpowering. Beef cut was too chewy, pork was better but not standing out. The appetizer of carppacio is very normal, mushroom underneath but not very well integrated in flavor. Sea bream cheek was meh-ok, standard olive oil with some balsamic. The tuna sauce of potato is too bad, the fishy-ness all came out. Dessert - the citrus mascarpone one has good composition, salt and olive oil on top are nice. But the signature tarte noire is just a dense chocolate cake, all of us have tasted some bitterness. Only dish worth eating is the tagliatelle alla bolognese. Good in texture, taste and classic. Service was bad, the waiter was not very patient. Gave our table the wrong order two times, once from the other table, then taking away and didn’t apologize. Then second forgot about the sauce on side note. I still tipped reasonably but now I kind of regret it for the below average food experience and service. That’s all, would not recommend.

Maybe I had too high hopes for Nora Gray, because last night’s birthday dinner with my wife was a bit of a letdown, and I’m blaming the wine. We ordered the “Teresa Cascina Tavijn” red Italian wine, which was far too acidy and lacked a complexity of flavour. Choosing the right wine is so important. It can make or break and evening at an upscale restaurant like Nora Gray. Our waitress was amazing and gave us an in depth explanation of the food and wine, so it’s nobody’s fault but our own for choosing one that wasn’t to our tastes. Nora Gray’s service and atmosphere is truly top notch, in this warm and cosy nook of a restaurant. One of the highlights of the evening was the “Flétan de la Gaspésie, salsa d'oignons brûlés, petit lait, Ciabot del Moreto '20”, which was a powerhouse of flavour and left us both raving. The “Viola Olive Oil” from Cucina Imports that we asked to be poured on a small dish was one of the best olive oils I’ve ever tasted, and well worth the $4 fee. It was perfect for wiping up with the “Focaccia Maison”. Unfortunately, one of the low points of the night was the “Battuta de boeuf, puntarelle, anchois, ail” which was far too chewy for a tartare. Tartare is supposed to be so tender that it melts in your mouth, but this was so gummy that I had to give up on champing and hide bits of half eaten beef in my napkin. Another dish that was less than memorable was the “Farro de Pacina, jus de volaille, poivre”. So, at one point our night out wasn’t looking great, but thankfully it was saved by a mind blowingly spectacular desert called the “Mousse chocolat et ricotta, crème à l'huile d'olive, noisettes”. It was a prefect blend of sweet, salt and more scrumptious olive oil. In the end, I would recommend giving Nora Gray a try and hopefully you’ll have better luck with the wine. I heard that they have an outdoor patio in the summer time, which sounds like fun.

Best place to have a date as the mood and atmosphere fits well. The servers and bartenders are really nice and would accommodate any needs. Thier food tastes amazing from the tortellini to the asparagus. Would highly recommended coming here again/ visiting atleast once.

Great vibe, very decent food. Service was exceedingly slow. Very, very slow service, though the service in general was very polite and gave good insight on the menu. Meal easily took 30-45 minutes longer than it needed to just on service time, and I am not one to nitpick on this, it just killed the flow of an otherwise great dinner. The food was great quality. Asparagus was great, along with all the pastas. The beef was tough, though it was well cooked with a great sauce. The pork was also very tasty. I would go back, but only if the service issues are fixed.

Beautiful dinner spot close to downtown. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. The outside patio is beautiful. Food is all incredibly fresh and the menu changes weekly. Highly recommend.
