5 Star Rating Great location — but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It manages to blend cozy comfort with a luxury feel, which is surprisingly rare. You get that warm, intimate vibe, but with high-end details that still make it feel special and upscale. The hotel is extremely clean. Not just “fine,” but genuinely spotless and well cared for. Rooms, linens, bathrooms, hallways — everything felt fresh, tidy, and thoughtfully maintained. Huge plus if you notice these things like we do. Check-in was fast and easy. No long waits, no confusion — efficient and smooth from start to finish. Staff clearly know what they’re doing, and it shows. Perfect for a couple’s weekend. If you're looking for somewhere stylish, clean, romantic, and stress-free, this is a great pick. We honestly left impressed. Would definitely come back!

5 Star Rating Absolutely beautiful hotel with a true boutique experience. The hotel is incredibly clean, updated and stylish. The staff is professional and offered exceptional service. The classic queen room I stayed in was so comfortable and I felt relaxed the entire stay. The bedding was perfect, and the windows almost completely soundproof. I’m a light sleeper and am easily awakened by noise (especially from cars). I didn’t have that issue at Le Germain. The location is PERFECT. It’s a quick walk to 2 metro stations and the trails of Mont Royal. Also, random, but the shampoo and soap they provide are absolutely amazing. I have sensitive skin and usually can’t use hotel toiletries, but whatever brand they’re using is super high quality. It also smells sooooo good I wish I had bought some to take home. I’d stay here again and again.

5 Star Rating It's a beautiful hotel, inside and out. The colourful exterior was a pleasant surprise. Inside, it is elegant, but still comfortable. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were very memorable, and worth repeating soon. The scallops and the dessert were next level awesome! Amazing luxury bedding that I have now put on my Christmas list! I felt taken care of and special staying here. I love the little touches like the honey and the chocolates. Cool wallpaper in the bathroom as well.

3 Star Rating The rooms are tight, even to open the door! And what is up with the window from the shower to the bed? If I wanted my party to see me shower, I would have showered outside! Dumb. I didnt sign up for that feture. The bed was comfy and the pillows were very soft. Just like i like them. Vallet service was very on top of their game. Worth every cent I tipped them. The hotel itself is in a quiet location. So that's a plus as well

3 Star Rating Hôtel Le Germain Montréal has always been our default hotel for business trips, and honestly, that’s its saving grace. The location is fantastic—super easy to get to, and you can access everything downtown quickly. The service is always nice, and the staff are generally great. However, my stay from Oct 20-22 was a real disappointment, and if it was a personal trip, I'd be looking elsewhere, sorry! The Room Was TINY: I've stayed here before and had normal rooms. This last one was ridiculously small. The entrance doorway was so tight it felt like I was squeezing in and the door will almost hit the bathroom wall. Major Stench in the Bathroom: This was the worst part. The little room with the toilet smelled absolutely foul. We tried everything—spraying perfume, opening the door—but the stink just overpowered it. I'm pretty sure the exhaust fan was totally broken because the smell never cleared. That’s a huge issue for cleanliness. Fishy Lobby? Even the main lobby had a weird, almost fishy smell to it. It was pretty off-putting right when you walk in. I hope management sees this because the hotel's location is perfect for business, but the room quality and the smell issues on this recent visit were a huge letdown. If the hotel wasn't so convenient for work, I wouldn't book it again.

5 Star Rating A must stop if you are in Montreal. We went on a Saturday evening and while here was a little bit of a line up and wait, it was well worth it. The pizzas were tasty, full of flavour and the chilli oil enhanced the taste. The deserts topped it off. Will definitely comeback for more.

4 Star Rating I was definitely a bit overwhelmed by the amount of choices they had for pizza but it's a good thing because everyone will find someone they like which makes it great for larger groups. Around 20$ a pizza, you get a decent sized pizza which is quite filling as well. The food itself was amazing. The pizza was saucy and flavorful which made it so good. I also really enjoyed the slightly smokey flavors added by the wood fired oven. The service however was not the most pleasant. We did not feel welcomed at all and the waiter for the whole night had a sulking face. When refilling my water, they spilled a lot of water all over my arm and left without saying anything. Then for the receipt, they just threw it on the table along with the machine and then left as well. I was so confused by their behavior. The place itself is pretty spacious at first glance but the tables are really small and really packed together which makes it a bit cramped inside. There is also a waiting line of around 20-30 minutes so please be aware of that.

2 Star Rating The ambiance was great, but the beer selection was rather average. There were no specialty beers, and I was expecting a wider choice of Irish beers. They only offer the standard options, which is acceptable but disappointing given the theme. The service was mediocre. My nachos order was forgotten, and they only arrived after I asked twice. When they finally came, they were very disappointing. Even my five-year-old could have done better. Nachos without jalapeños are simply not nachos.

4 Star Rating I went to 3 Brasseurs McGill on a weekday, and even though it was pretty busy, the atmosphere was lively and fun. The service was a bit on the slower side, but the staff were friendly and accommodating once things got moving. The food itself was great, everything came out fresh and tasty. I especially appreciated the kids’ meals, which were a really good deal and made it easy to enjoy a family night out without breaking the bank. Overall, it’s a solid spot for good food and a vibrant vibe, just be prepared for a little wait if it’s busy.

The porc knuckle is great the porc burger okay - a bit heavy - and the regular cheese burger very nice- the fries were very dry so I recommend getting the coleslaw or pay extra for another choice of sweet potato fries. The halloumi appetiser was ok so not worth the 13$ in my opinion Overall good experience with nice staff and convenient location

4 Star Rating The service was fast and efficient. Attentive and present We generally liked everything but nothing was wow. Fresh tuna in the tartar. Spicy chicken burger was good but not very tender. I enjoyed the vegetables flamm wrap even though it was missing sauce to my taste. Didn't like the terrasse, to close to the street, chair in old metal, but we could have sat inside too. For a simple and warm meal, I would go again, and I would try other things, the menu seems riche.

5 Star Rating First of all, the restaurant itself looks amazing — very comfortable sofas, well-spaced tables, and a beautiful design. I honestly didn’t expect such an atmospheric place, especially knowing the prices beforehand (which are surprisingly affordable for a place like this). We ordered the onion soup, served with a rich cheesy topping — it was absolutely delicious. To be honest, after the soup alone I already felt full and completely satisfied😁 But we didn’t stop there and ordered a smoked meat sandwich. It was outstanding: a huge portion with incredibly juicy meat and wonderful bread, very soft inside with a crispy crust served with fries on the side🤤 I don’t live in Montreal, but we love this city and visit it often just to enjoy our time there. Now I know for sure that we’ll also be enjoying great food every time we come. You can really feel that everything in this restaurant is prepared with care and soul😌

3 Star Rating Very cool restaurant, felt almost like I was transported to a past decade. Love the vibe and decor. Extremely well maintained establishment. However the food itself felt mediocre. Portion size of the kaiser sandwich was very disappointing and the meats were just okay. There was a subtle lack of attention to detail like placing the pickle on a hot plate just made for a warm pickle which isn’t very appetizing. Poutine was probably my favourite part of the meal. Also one awkward moment of the meal transpired where the server dropped a mayo pack on the floor but swiftly picked it up and tried to conceal her putting it back on the plate and served it to me right after. Extremely odd and somewhat disrespectful moment which I assume was a momentary lapse of judgement. Overall my expectations for the food itself was not lived up to, but it’s a cool restaurant.

5 Star Rating Came for the F1 weekend with my fiancé and his brother! I'm a real smoked meat lover and you can taste how fresh the meat is compared to the smoked meat places on the southshore. The hostess and the man at the front (seems like a manager) were very hospitable and very kind. Our server was very nice too. I had the classic smoked meat sandwich, my boyfriend had the F1 burger and his brother had the chicken burger. If you haven't tried this place already, please do! 4 Star Rating Had such a blast on the Valentine's jazz night. It's pretty sad to have to rate four stars instead of five for some of small things during it. First of all, the food, the staff, the band, the singer, the wine, atmosphere, location, everything I mentioned above is beyond AMAZING! No complaints on those at all. Sadly I didn't quite enjoy the cocktails so much, we ordered two different cocktails and neither of them can step up with our high expectations, with the price and all the good things I mentioned above. For sure this place is perfect for special occasions, as it's a fancy place to dine, behind and inside of an old church. That part I think it's brilliant! The toilets are quite limited as it's inside the old church but it was not packed at all so I don't find this a negative thing. In summary, best fancy place for live music, food, wine selections not so much for cocktails (in my opinion) OR maybe if you try different cocktails it would have been better. Still recommended!
