5 Star Rating I stayed at this hotel for a business trip to research fashion and travel for Montreal. While searching where to stay the image of that swing in room screamed “I must stay there” The location is perfect to explore the downtown area. Intimate but large enough to have all your needs met. A surprise was the cool wallpaper in the bathroom. We all need something to read! I’d stay again in a heart beat and yes loved the swing!

5 Star Rating I wasn’t prepared coming into this hotel with sweatpants and a hoodie. Regardless, the staff treated me with exceptional customer service. The rooms were very chic and clean, reflecting the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely come back if I’m ever in the city again. Highly recommend using the robe.

5 Star Rating This hotel is fantastic! Sleek and tasteful, it's a beautiful place to stay on Montreal. The rooms are fun! We stayed in a queen and there is a window in the shower that looks out into the bedroom. So, this probably isn't a place you want to stay with folks you don't want to see shower. Of course, it may be different in different rooms. No complaints from us, though 😊

5 Star Rating This lovely hotel is v modern and the shower cubicle with a window into the bedroom takes a bit of getting used to but did make the bathroom much brighter. Maybe a blind or opaque glass could be added? Bed was so comfortable and the view from our window at night was spectacular (as shown) with all the building lights. Our room was on the 20th floor so lovely and quiet. Delicious breakfast and plenty of choice. Unlimited free coffee refills greatly appreciated. All the staff were so nice and helpful. Late check out available at midday was most unexpected, and it really felt that the hotel/staff couldn't do enough to welcome you.

5 Star Rating Our first time staying at Le Germain and certainly not our last. The service was outstanding, the rooms impeccably clean and well appointed, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. An elegant but unstuffy hotel that you will certainly remember and stay at again on your next trip back to beautiful Montreal!

5 Star Rating This spot seriously delivered some of the best thin-crust pizza I’ve ever had! The crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. We tried a variety—one with pineapple and blue cheese that was unexpectedly amazing, and another loaded with sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers that was packed with flavor. The Caesar salads were also generous and creamy—definitely a solid starter. Service was excellent—super friendly and attentive. The only downside? It was surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday lunch. That said, it’s clearly popular for a reason. Would absolutely come back!

5 Star Rating I am a pizza lover and I have tasted many delicious pizzas. I have to say that when I first ate the pizza from this restaurant, I was really amazed. The tomato sauce was very delicious, and the ingredients were matched, and the crispness of the crust was just right. I will definitely recommend it to every friend who comes to Montreal.

5 Star Rating Our friends in Montreal said this was a great pizza place, and they were 100% correct! We visited Montreal and unfortunately we could only manage to do delivery, but it was fabulous! There were so many pizza options on the website that we had some trouble deciding what to get. I had the absolute best anchovy pizza I've ever had! Everyone else really enjoyed their pizzas, too (the kids are Hawaiian fiends, and everyone else got assorted meaty toppings). The delivery guy was also very lovely and insisted on bringing the pizzas up the stairs to us, even though we went down to meet him. The delivery boxes are also really appealing, haha. Will definitely return for more the next time we are in town!

4 Star Rating I really enjoyed this pub! We went on a Friday night while we were waiting for our show nearby. The old-school vibes were right on point. We got a few pints and a few shots. Along with some apps. All was great, and the price wasn't pricey. The place is also quite big. I'm willing to bet this place pops off during Saint-Patrick's Day, no doubt. All to say, keep it up; I'll pop by during Saint-P's day.

3 Star Rating We sat at the bar for dinner. The fact that it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night should have told us something. After a couple beers, we ordered chicken fingers with onion rings and fish and chips. Both were large portions and the quality was good but not great. It irritated us that we were charged $.75 for an extra tartar sauce. Our bartender Tara was personable and efficient. But we wish we had waited in line for our first choice.

4 Star Rating I had a good time at 3 Brasseurs, though not everything was perfect. The wings were definitely the highlight—crispy, crunchy, and full of flavor. The beer was excellent, cold and refreshing, exactly what you’d expect from a brewpub. Dessert was another standout, rich and delicious, the perfect way to end the meal. The poutine was okay but not the best I’ve tried—it didn’t quite stand out. The burger, unfortunately, was underwhelming and not to my taste. That said, the service really shined. Our waitress was sweet, friendly, and somehow managed to be quick despite the busy atmosphere. She made the experience enjoyable overall. I’d come back for the wings, beer, and dessert, and I’d love to explore more of their menu next time.

4 Star Rating First time in shodan for lunch. We have ordered the sushi plate for 2 and added a sushi pizza. I believe if we will be just full only have sushi plate for 2.adding pizza we r too full. The fish are so fresh! However I find the rice is abit too soft and doesn't taste enough vinegar. Thus 4/5 for the food. Service is good, atmosphere is good. Will come back and try the dinner menue, heard the specialty rolls are good too. Sushi pizza is covered by smoked salmon. Find the rice is not crispy enough or maybe too thin to taste the crispness.

3 Star Rating I hadn’t been to Reuben’s in a couple of years, but while strolling through downtown one evening, I decided to give it another go and grab some takeout. The restaurant itself is quite nice—welcoming decor, friendly staff, and an overall inviting vibe. Having been a loyal customer in the past, I expected more of the same quality that Reuben’s was once known for. Unfortunately, this visit will likely be my last. I ordered the Super Royal, advertised as a giant smoked meat sandwich served with fries, coleslaw, and a pickle for $26 plus tax. However, when I received my takeout bag, it became immediately clear that there was nothing “giant” about the meal. I’ve included a single photo of my $26+tax meal to let you decide whether you think it’s worth the price. While the sandwich was undeniably tasty, the portion was so small that I was still hungry after finishing it. In fact, I ended up heading elsewhere to grab a burger just to feel satisfied. In a city like Montreal, filled with incredible restaurants and delis, it’s hard to justify settling for such a meager offering. Delicious? Sure. Worth $26? Absolutely not. Reuben’s might be resting on its reputation, but when there are countless better options around, I know I won’t be back.

5 Star Rating HIDDEN GEM!!! I absolutely loved the food - Caesar salad was the best I’ve eaten in years! And I also tried the “Famous homemade cheesecake”, my god it’s gooooood!!! Same with the cheesecake, I didn’t have one so good in years 🥹🥹🥹 This place has a European vibe to it, both regarding food and appearance. It reminded me a little bit of Germany :) The service was super good, the waitresses were very friendly, smiling, got the order right and fast, even suggested me to get a vanilla ice cream with my Cheescake and I have to say, it is a must try!!!! The atmosphere is great, pretty, clean, love the decorated glass ceiling elements :) Coffee is just regular, like in all diners, I was hoping for a European coffee but alas :) I will definitely be back to try their smoked meat, as I’ve seen some amazing reviews about it and I totally recommend this place! Frankly, I believe it is an UNDERRATED GEM, it deserves more recognition!

5 Star Rating We dined there on Saturday night, the 17th of Aug 2024, at about 9 pm. we were welcomed by our server and offered drinks. Excellent food 10/10. But better than the food was the service by our server 12/10. We were served by a lovely lady (sorry, forgot her name). She was very attentive and made us feel welcome. We ordered the ceasar salad and asked for bacon to be added to it, and that wasn't a problem. In fact, everything we asked for wasn't a problem. We also had the cheese sticks and the 14oz ribeye steak. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. The garden salad with French dressing was very fresh. Our lovely server suggested the strawberry cheesecake for dessert, and it was the best I've had. I highly recommend this establishment. I worked as a chef in Australia for over 25 years, and I was extremely pleased with this restaurant. I wish I live in Montreal so I could try this restaurant again and again. Thankyou.

4 Star Rating Had such a blast on the Valentine's jazz night. It's pretty sad to have to rate four stars instead of five for some of small things during it. First of all, the food, the staff, the band, the singer, the wine, atmosphere, location, everything I mentioned above is beyond AMAZING! No complaints on those at all. Sadly I didn't quite enjoy the cocktails so much, we ordered two different cocktails and neither of them can step up with our high expectations, with the price and all the good things I mentioned above. For sure this place is perfect for special occasions, as it's a fancy place to dine, behind and inside of an old church. That part I think it's brilliant! The toilets are quite limited as it's inside the old church but it was not packed at all so I don't find this a negative thing. In summary, best fancy place for live music, food, wine selections not so much for cocktails (in my opinion) OR maybe if you try different cocktails it would have been better. Still recommended!

4 Star Rating Le Balcon is a staple in Montreal experiences! Located in an old cathedral, this theater always makes for an incredible time! There’s room to dance if you’d like- most people do! The main floor is tables/chairs set up cabaret style. The balcony is church pews with a thin piece of fabric as your seat cushion. You’ll be up dancing anyways, so don’t get too comfy! Balcony is also “sit wherever” so feel free to move around… but make sure you close out with your server! If you can find them! Once the show starts, I really didn’t see anyone to grab me another drink:( It’s a very intimate venue- there are no bad seats! Very picturesque too! The entrance is on the side street! There’s a coat check for $3CAD and yes they take cards! Beware- there’s a long line aftee to get your coat! The bathrooms are pitiful! Located up a bunch of stairs and then there’s only 2 teeny stalls! For a venue, we need more please!

3 Star Rating Positive: The show was truly amazing. Excellent performers, really good singing and the crowd was up dancing for most of the evening. The performers had great dance moves. The venue itself is cozy and looks great. Negative: Food could really be improved. The soup entrée tasted like canned soup. Main course was alright and drinks were really missing something, tasted watered down. The wait staff was friendly, but would come ask us if we were finished with our food or drinks way too often. I would definitely go again for the show, but not the dinner.
