I stayed at this hotel for a business trip to research fashion and travel for Montreal. While searching where to stay the image of that swing in room screamed “I must stay there” The location is perfect to explore the downtown area. Intimate but large enough to have all your needs met. A surprise was the cool wallpaper in the bathroom. We all need something to read! I’d stay again in a heart beat and yes loved the swing!

I wasn’t prepared coming into this hotel with sweatpants and a hoodie. Regardless, the staff treated me with exceptional customer service. The rooms were very chic and clean, reflecting the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely come back if I’m ever in the city again. Highly recommend using the robe.

This hotel is fantastic! Sleek and tasteful, it's a beautiful place to stay on Montreal. The rooms are fun! We stayed in a queen and there is a window in the shower that looks out into the bedroom. So, this probably isn't a place you want to stay with folks you don't want to see shower. Of course, it may be different in different rooms. No complaints from us, though 😊

This lovely hotel is v modern and the shower cubicle with a window into the bedroom takes a bit of getting used to but did make the bathroom much brighter. Maybe a blind or opaque glass could be added? Bed was so comfortable and the view from our window at night was spectacular (as shown) with all the building lights. Our room was on the 20th floor so lovely and quiet. Delicious breakfast and plenty of choice. Unlimited free coffee refills greatly appreciated. All the staff were so nice and helpful. Late check out available at midday was most unexpected, and it really felt that the hotel/staff couldn't do enough to welcome you.

Our first time staying at Le Germain and certainly not our last. The service was outstanding, the rooms impeccably clean and well appointed, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. An elegant but unstuffy hotel that you will certainly remember and stay at again on your next trip back to beautiful Montreal!

Eggspectation - Maisonneuve offers a solid breakfast and brunch experience with a wide variety of menu items to choose from. The portions were decent and satisfying, though not overly large. While the prices could be a bit more competitive, they’re still fair for the quality and atmosphere. The staff were incredibly polite, well-dressed, and respectful, adding a professional yet friendly touch to the visit. The warm and welcoming environment made the overall experience very enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to start your day!

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast here. Our server, Beatriz, was pleasant, prompt and attentive, and helped us successfully navigate an impressive menu full of very tempting options. The "Eggstraordinary" plate was delicious, the portions generous, and the prices quite reasonable for the quality. Highly satisfied.

I decided to try eggspectation while waiting on a friend to drive in from New Hampshire. The restaurant is not far from the hotel we’re staying in so I decided to check it out. The vibes were amazing! Great service, great food, my sever Rubel was so kind, patient and knowledgeable of the menu. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch if you’re visiting Montreal or if you’re from here and looking for a good breakfast spot. 5 stars ⭐️ .

Had an amazing experience at Eggspectation! The food was fantastic, especially their classic dish, the EGGSTRAORDINARY, which came with perfectly seasoned potatoes and delicious sausages. The atmosphere was vibrant (good music), the cappuccino rich and smooth, and the freshly pressed juice was a great touch. But what truly made the visit exceptional was the service from Rubel. He went above and beyond, recommending every dish with care and precision, and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. His hospitality took the whole experience to the next level, huge kudos to him!

Our server Enzo was very helpful! We ordered the wrong item and he went above his way to make up for it even though it was our own fault. Had nothing but good experiences with the food here. It's quickly become our go-to brunch for dinner spot :)

The food was exactly what I expected. The place is a bustling deli with speedy service and servers. Everything here is good, but nothing in particular stands out as 'the best' compared to other restaurants. They do have a wide variety of menu items however. I enjoyed my buffalo chicken poutine and while my matzo ball soup tasted good, it came out a little cold! Overall, worth a visit with tasty food and reasonable prices.

Had a nice lunch here with the boys. Big plates of the good stuff. I had the assemble-your-own sandwich option and it was great. I opted for the highest "moistness" (which means highest fat) and it was super succulent. The wait staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. We got a nice little bowl of chips with our drinks. Someone got a poutine as a side and it was huge, gargantuan. Decor is nice, music was classic rock, washroom was clean. Nothing to complain about here, all nice stuff.

Perfect destination for visitors to the city to try Montreal smoked meat. Perfect diner vibes, comforting food that was very tasty and fresh. Service was friendly and down to earth. The fries are unique and scrumptious. Highly recommend their famous strawberry cheesecake, made fresh in-house. It is GIRTHY. One piece is perfect to share. I will be back!

It's my first time having a "proper poutine" and it's not a disappointment at all! I went with the original Quebecois poutine and add some bacon in it. SUPER YUMMY! We were there on lunch time, the place was packed but they have enough staffs to keep the business flow which is such a plus! Impressive! The plate is super bug as well, very worth the money! Recommended!

Le petit combo- The smoked meat was delicious. It stands out in a city with other great options. It was the umami flavor you’d expect but tender. This smaller portion was pefect for me. If you come hungry you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice place and very welcoming !! Perfect for a first date in my opinion if he or she loves sushi, cause I loved it 5 years ago when my now husband brought me there ;) and it's always nice to go back now. First time in shodan for lunch. We have ordered the sushi plate for 2 and added a sushi pizza. I believe if we will be just full only have sushi plate for 2.adding pizza we r too full. The fish are so fresh! However I find the rice is abit too soft and doesn't taste enough vinegar. Thus 4/5 for the food. Service is good, atmosphere is good. Will come back and try the dinner menue, heard the specialty rolls are good too. Sushi pizza is covered by smoked salmon. Find the rice is not crispy enough or maybe too thin to taste the crispness.

Red snapper fish is an expensive species, so don’t be surprised by the price tag. But, if you’re not a huge fan of fish, this simple preparation method highlighting the fish’s quality might not taste worth it for you. I personally thought it just tastes similar to other white flesh fish, so i was glad we had also ordered other more heavily flavoured dishes like Seafood Rice, and Mushroom Duck Risotto. A point i would like to praise is the general lack of bones. Beautifully done. The Seafood Platter is also expensive, but you’re paying to be able to have a bit of everything. The smoked fish is really salty, but is good with sourdough bread. Lobster is great. Crispy octopus is a must-try in my opinion. The exterior is slightly crispy while keeping a soft interior. Amazing. Risotto has a very strong mushroom flavour, the duck falls off the bone. The dish is a bit heavy if you don’t have any sides, but it’s perfect to share. The presentation looks awkward with the dish being so deep compared to the amount of food in it. We didn’t order any drinks. Our waiter made a few mistakes and was difficult to get a hold of, but we were a table of 6 and it was late, so it’s understandable. The restaurant is very loud when it’s full. The small tables are pretty close to each other. The kitchen on the elevation has a transparent separator, letting you see. I suggest reserving even for week days, especially with the weather getting better. Overall great experience with the variety of dishes we ordered.

I visited McGill University in early November of 2024. A couple of university professors took me to Ferreira for dinner as I told them earlier that I liked seafood. There was a lot of options even among seafood. I ordered a salmon dish. The others ordered a variety of dishes. The dishes were plentiful. Later, we ordered a sampler of desserts. All dishes were very tasty. Overall, it was a very good dinner.

Top notch experience. Had the oysters, blackened sea bass, and signature cod. Both fishes were melt in your mouth fresh. Oysters were perfection. They made us a free dessert in celebration of our anniversary. Ferreira is the finest in Montreal.

I just had the best time at Cafe Ferreira for a work event! We came in at 9 PM with a group of 10, and we were treated to a fabulous table d'hote menu featuring steak, prawns, veggies, and mushroom risotto. Everything was served buffet style, which was so convenient and fun, and it even came with dessert! I have to say, the prawns and the risotto were definitely my favorites – they were absolutely delicious! The service was amazing, too; the staff was super attentive and always there for refills. Overall, it was such a great spot for our group event, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Visited this famous Montreal smoked meat spot and overall, it lived up to its reputation! The smoked meat was definitely the highlight — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It had that classic, satisfying bite you hope for in a Montreal deli. I also really enjoyed the French onion soup — rich, savory broth with just the right amount of melted cheese and soft onions. A comforting start to the meal. The only letdown was the rib cheese macaroni. It sounded promising but ended up being a bit bland and heavy. The texture wasn’t quite right, and it just didn’t have the same quality as the other dishes. Still, the core experience — the smoked meat and the soup — was solid. Worth a visit if you’re in town and craving a taste of classic Montreal comfort food.

Our group had such a good lunch on our first visit that we came back again later in the week! This restaurant was a great place to introduce visitors to smoked meat. Large portions and very fast service. We did make a reservation for our second visit as it was a Sunday afternoon. Kids meals were also very large. Wheelchair accessible bathroom on the main level. Didn't try their desserts

OMG Talk 'bout a true Montrealaise experience... Quality AND customer service. Beautiful room. Awesome food. Sitting just by myself, twice in a weekend, it was a pleasure to witness the attention to detail in the salon: all personnell was there FOR EVERYBODY to be taken care of. Busy and super-smooth. Happy place. ;-) Will sure come back for more smiles.

I had a great experience trying the famous super sandwich at Reuben’ Deli. If you’d like to enjoy a classic Montreal smoke meet sandwich this is a great option for you. The restaurant atmosphere and interior is nice. Staff are friendly and they provide service in English as well. Overall I had a great experience.

Pretty decent smoked meat sandwiches with a choice of lean or medium if you want a little of that melt in your mouth beef fat in there. Portions were great too. Prices are a little on the steep side but I can't complain about the quality of it. There's obviously better out there but if you don't have time for lines or travelling around the city then Reuben's is the next best thing.

Beautiful place to have a dinner with friends or family. Been here more times than I can count in the past. Food has always been delicious and the service is exceptional. The staff have been here for years and know their regulars. I would definitely get the feast and enjoy the leftovers the next day for lunch.

This was definitely a pleasant experience. Went with a group 8. Everything on the money is very good weather you ´re a beginner or expert level diner. Therefore I recommend the Feast, especially if you re in a group. You’ll get a triple entrée, a choice of 3 meat dished and de vegetarian ones ALL you can eat! Plus you get unlimited Naan bread ( plain, cheese and garlic) as well as saffron rice with peas or steamed basmati . There s even a dessert. For $65? Well worth it if you want to sample a bit of everything. Staff was friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend and go again, great experience.

If I could give 6 stars for service I would! We were served by Suneil (Sunny) and he was among the best we have had. He was friendly and made great suggestions. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to make us feel like he cared about our experience. I had Chicken Xacutti and my wife had Tikka Masala along with naan, rice, samosa, and chicken kebab. Everything was delicious!

We had a fun and tasty experience. It has a lively and trendy decor and music. We sat at a comfortable booth. We tried the tuna tacos which were light and delicious. We loved the wasabi mayo. The squid was crunchy and delish. Then we enjoyed the burgers and fries. The salads looked amazing so I want to return to try one.

Our experience was fantastic! I had a delicious macchiato and bacon poutine. The poutine was killer! We packed the leftovers and brought them back to Maine, USA with us- LOL! The Neptune Ahi Tuna salad was out of this world. Environment was fun, staff friendly. Bathrooms had cute deco art- super fun for us since we were Bruins fans visiting.

Me and my partner are regulars. The food quality is comparable to some higher-end restaurants while having a much more relaxed atmosphere. The meals, drinks and deserts never dissapoint us, however if you're not happy the staff does take feedback. The staff is super friendly and professional, our server Jana is the best, had to shout her out. But big props to the whole team. Even on their busiest nights, service is still very good.

We came for brunch, to celebrate my friend's birthday, and had the best time! Food was great, portions are very generous (we ordered 2 dishes, that were enough for 3 people), and our server was very kind and attentive - thanks, Chloe!! My only issue/suggestion: check toilets more frequently, to ensure that everything is in order. If it was not for that, I'd have given 5 stars, but hopefully this will be improved soon.

My family and I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant We stumbled on this place while looking for a breakfast joint on Rue Cathrine before a campus tour. We were warmly greeted upon entry. Our server was excellent. I’ve never had someone ask “which language would you prefer to communicate with?” That’s memorable service which warranted a huge tip at the end of our meal. Anyway, the breakfast portions weren’t huge, but just right. I ordered a western sandwich on croissant (excellent). My daughter ordered a croissant sandwich with egg, sausage & Swiss cheese (also excellent). My youngest daughter ordered plain crepes. When I tasted hers, I ordered my own single crepe as well. It was one of the best crepes I’ve tasted outside of what is made at home, or what Cora’s serves. I was most impressed by the bottle of maple syrup , free of charge, brought to the table to enjoy with crepes , French toast or waffles. The maple syrup was so good, i was considering sneaking the bottle into my daughter’s purse (I didn’t!) We were greeted warmly by three people on the way out as well. Once again, excellent, tip-worthy service

Absolutely loved this place! One of the things that really stood out to me was that they offer late breakfast options, I was there aroun noon during the week and got offered both menus. Super convenient. The service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. They have a great variety of dishes for both breakfast and dinner, and everything I tried was delicious. Highly recommend!

Very good breakfast option If you are travelling downtown Montreal or visiting McGill. Nothing really special but food is pretty good. It can get very crowded tho which may affect service quality by a tiny bit but overall still a good option.

Came here and wanted a late breakfast. I was nervous because I don’t speak any French but they were so kind and everything is bilingual. The food and coffee was awesome. The service again was attentive and patient with me as I didn’t know what to eat but they suggested the Montreal Benedict and it hit it out of the park. I’m a big fan and I will be back again.

One of the rare places on the island that you can reserve for a large group of people for brunch. Menu's varied, so there's something for everyone. Good price. This was our first time here. The place was quiet and relaxed feel to it. We went around 6:20 pm. We ordered their minestrone soup, and it was delicious. We had pepperoni pizza, cooked in a pizza oven. The pizza was excellent.

Been talking about going here for years but never got around to it. I regret not going sooner. A bit of nostalgia with the checkered red and white table cloth's and relaxed atmosphere. The food was great, you can't go wrong with a real wood fired oven pizza or calzone. The service was amazing. The only small thing I noticed was the lighting as there was alot of mismatched bulbs, as in ultra bright whites and subdued off whites. Easy fix. Will be back!

Very old but functioning. Used to be better but now you can notice that they no on get keep up the standard and are lacking no in many areas. Food is not prepared by Italians anymore but still good tasting. Service is poor with only one person working the entire floor. Atmosphere is below average at this point dirty floors old old carpets old chairs etc

Restaurant Siciliana had a somewhat authentic Italian feel to it, with a cozy atmosphere. The food had great flavor, and I enjoyed the tortellini soup and chicken parmesan. However, the chicken was so thin that it ended up overcooked and a little hard around the edges. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by some issues. Some of the staff were sitting at tables playing on their phones and just staring around, which made me feel uncomfortable. Additionally, the restaurant was filled with fumes from the brick oven and looked smokey. You could see the black char going up the brick oven and on the ceiling tiles. Overall, I would not recommend Restaurant Siciliana if you are visiting Montreal.

Hubs had veal. I had the pesto linguine. Plus a half carafe of white wine. All so delish. Was leery to go after reading some of the recent reviews. But sooo cold out there and this was near hotel, so we took a chance. Glad we did!!!
