2 Star Rating I had the veggie omelette with potatoes. Both were very bland, had no seasoning on them as they were prepped or cooked. Any good chef knows food should be seasoned. Given that my omelette had no cheese or salty meat with it, the blandness was very strong. I tried adding my own salt and pepper but it did not help unfortunately. I told the very kind waiter that I was not enjoying my food. He was very apologetic and tried to help me. I didn’t want another dish at this point. So he directed me to his manager. The manager here was very abrupt and he did not seem to empathize with my distaste of my food. He told me that the chefs here and at all of their franchises don’t ever season the food and that they provide salt and pepper shakers on the tables for the customers to season their own food. If he said that to chef Gordon Ramsay, he’d call this guy a donkey. The service and atmosphere here was very nice—except for the managers service. Unless you’re getting a dish that comes with salty cheese and salty meat, you may find your food blasée. I will not come back.

5 Star Rating Delicious food, friendly and efficient service, and cute restaurant. We stopped by in Saturday morning and it quickly got busy after we arrived. We ordered the breakfast poutine, Yolk Around the Clock, Eggstraordinary Breakfast, and sides of the fruit cup, smoked salmon and bacon. It was eggcellent! Kept us full for a long day of sightseeing!

5 Star Rating We are on the outdoor patio and had very attentive service by Omar. The hostess didn’t want to seat us outside but he was quick to seat us since we weren’t in a rush. I think they were short staffed but he certainly gave us amazing and unhurried service. We noticed the server bring by an omelette - it was huge, so you could easily share the meal. The fresh fruit bowl that our neighbour had was very large and had a variety of fruit. We ordered the All American breakfast and the breakfast bagel. The coffee isn’t amazing but the food made up for it! A great breakfast place!!

5 Star Rating Was awesome, got off the train from Toronto had some time to kill before hotel check in, friend said I'm near here and had to check it out. Was not disappointed, went for the more classic dishes but they had some Asian fusion options that I have to try next time I'm here. Honestly some of the best smoked meat I've had. Been told to also check out Schwartz but that was a bit out of the way but highly recommend this place when in the downtown core.

4 Star Rating We tried Dunn’s for the first time and the service was impeccably fast. The host was patient with us as well. Although we ordered take-out, the place had a nice ambiance with lots of seating. We got poutine as well as the smoked meat sandwich. We also ordered the Dunn’s famous smoked meat poutine and the smoked meat burger. The smoked meat poutine was covered in smoked meat and packed with flavour. There was a perfect ratio of cheese curds to gravy to fries as well. The smoked meat burger did not quite live up to our expectations. The burger patty itself was dry and there was only a few slices of smoked meat. On the other hand, the smoked meat sandwich was great! Highly recommend. If you’re ever in Montreal, definitely hit up this spot.

5 Star Rating Dunn’s smoked meat was the best we had in all of Montréal. We tried all of the big spots and while they were all great (really good stuff), Dunn’s had the best balance of flavor, juiciness, and tenderness. The restaurant itself has a cool old school feel to it. The menu has a ton of variety as well. We had the giant smoked meat sandwich and regular poutine and it was all awesome. Food came out super fast, service was great!

4 Star Rating Once inside Sho-Dan, I found myself underwhelmed by the overall atmosphere. The décor lacks character, with plain white tablecloths and a lack of any distinctive features. Instead of exuding a sushi restaurant ambiance, it feels more like an upscale Italian establishment catering to an older demographic. Unfortunately, my initial impression fell short of excitement. However, my disappointment took a turn when we decided to sample a variety of items from the menu. The sushi exceeded expectations, boasting a delightful freshness and appealing presentation. Accompanied by flavorful sauces, the culinary experience was elevated. The house drinks were also noteworthy, adding a positive note to our dining experience. While the staff exhibited kindness, there was a slight lack of enthusiasm, though the service remained decent. In conclusion, it's a venue worth considering if you're seeking exceptionally good sushi. The culinary delights outweigh the lackluster ambiance, making it a destination for sushi enthusiasts.

5 Star Rating First, the food, delicious beyond control, they have perfected their menu, and their food presentation is 👌, for the service we had the nicest man I've ever seen he helped me learn how to use chopsticks and now I'm a professional, he was super professional and every time I took a sip of water another kind guy waiter would rush over and give me an instant refill, the atmosphere was perfect the layout of the building, the washrooms, the front desk, the tables and chairs, the candles they give you while you eat, the flowers on the tables, almost everything about it is perfected to the point where I don't understand how this is only a 4.5 star resturant. It was so good that I don't know where they could improve.

5 Star Rating Wow, this place has got to be one of the better season restaurants we’ve been too. We came to have dinner for our eight year anniversary. The service was amazing, everyone was very helpful. the place is beautiful, and the food is phenomenal. The menu had so many options that looked delicious to try so we definitely will be back. We started off with the seafood tower, and got the lobster Caesar salad, and the cod fish. Our favourite is the code fish dish! With the perfect mash purée, and the cod fish flaked to perfection. It was definitely the star of the night!

5 Star Rating This restaurant feels like the equivalent of when you hangout with your best friends and you just feel so fulfilled and happy after. The food is delicious, and cooked incredibly consistently (I’ve had the same sandwich here 3 times and it’s perfect every time.) The service is speedy, thoughtful and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and slightly vintage (references to jazz clubs painted on the upper wall). The booths are comfy and have a good amount of leg room. It feels like a nice warm hideaway from reality.

3 Star Rating I’ve been to this place few times years ago but the last time I’ve been there it was not that good. The was food was ok nothing special. The waiter was really in rush all the time like he make us feel we need to order in a second and that he need to go to serve the others. Like he took what we ordered without asking what to drink and I had to call him again to take the order of the drinks. Over all it was an overpriced experience and probably will be the last since there was nothing special to make you wanna come back and pay such a price. And the tips we paid was not worth it.

4 Star Rating 1/2 Benedict classic: you get 1 eggs benedicts with 1 half wafdle eith fruits and nutella. The eggs benedict was enjoyable and the waffle is huge. However, the waffle although it looked crispy on the outside was quite chewy and arduous to cut. Stilla tasted fine. The potatoes are subpar. Too big in my opinion, no seasonning on mine and not any bit crispy. The egg and sausage platter was not out of the ordinary but it was good, just like any classics. The toast were on the burn side, which I don't like. Overall the service was great and very efficient. I didn't try any other dishes, but the people I came with were quite satisfied with theirs. Each portion comes with not quite ripe fruits but it depends on the season, I get that. You well full at the end of your meal and it's not too expensive.

3 Star Rating On vacation in Montreal, kids were craving for pasta for dinner, saw this place near by our hotel. I know the reviews weren’t up there, but figured reviews aren’t always accurate. Just like my previous experience in Brussels, a high google review restaurant but turned out to be a tourist trap. So this Italian restaurant was decent, 3.9 stars was just about right. We ordered Penne with pink sauce with meat balls, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo and a large Caesar salad. Everything turned out okay, only the meat ball was kinda flaky, it wasn’t as good as traditional meat balls. Caesar salads were mediocre at best with bacon bites. Usually Caesar salads don’t have bacon bites. But the ladies that took our order was friendly and nice. Which is a plus for services. But the restaurant really needs some update, as it feels like outdated pizzeria in the 1980s.

4 Star Rating The food was delicious, and the chef who prepared our dinner was really funny. The only downside was that we (2 people) were seated at our table (for our reservation at 7pm) and had to wait until 8pm for the table to fill up. If this has been communicated to us in advance, we would have had no problem arriving later, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

4 Star Rating Toyo Japanese Steakhouse, Montreal: Good Taste, Room for Improvement Toyo Japanese Steakhouse in Montreal, known for its teppanyaki grill bar, offers a decent experience. While the food tastes good, the portions have noticeably reduced and come with a high price tag. The chefs put on an okay show, but seem to be under pressure catering to multiple tables, which impacts the entertainment aspect. Additionally, the service tends to be on the slower side. Overall, it's a satisfactory visit but with notable areas for improvement.

5 Star Rating What a great experience. We went to this restaurant before a Hockey game with the kids. The staff greated us so warmly and verified our vaccination passports and got us seated. After placing our order the chef fairly quickly and started prepping the food. The "show" was great but the food was the star. It was outstanding . The portions are really generous to the point where we didn't even take the ice cream that came with the meal as we were too stuffed . We will definitely be going back !

2 Star Rating Food was okay, service “VIBE” was bad from the elder female server(she is probably the owner). When my wife try to question her answer, she flip the topic to serve other customers to avoid the conversation about my wife’s question. Extremely unprofessional. Gave two stars because other server actually conducted what a server supposed to do. Overall, if you are looking for a 5 stars service experience and taste, but charging 5 stars restaurant price this is not the restaurant. For a quick bite with a buddy is okay, but not for family, celebrations, or group gatherings.
