My wife and I just came back from a long weekend in Montreal. The hotel exceeded everything we could have asked for. The staff were super accommodating, professional and friendly . The room was immaculate and the hotel was absolutely charming. Food was awesome as well! Hope to return again soon!

I've been staying at le Germain several times but it was the first time I stayed in Montreal. The service is excellent and the staff is courteous, prompt and professional. Food is delicious, I do think room service is worth it. The only few downsides: Honestly, the cleaning isn't up to par, I grabbed the ice bucket from the upper shelf not knowing it was filled with water, clearly thr previous people who stayed had used it, as a result I was drenched with water meaning the cleaning staff did not think of verifying the ice bucket. I had to quickly dry dress shirt with the hairdryer before heading out to my meeting (I was short on time). The gym is also not as cleaned, the equipment, the treadmill etc. could clearly use a more thorough inspection, you can see bottle marks, dusts, the mats aren't taken care of. I do think that the gym overall could use an upgrade too, it's the least conforming part of the hotel luxurious vibe.

Just 5 mins from Viarail station by taxi, if you like 60's music the bar/lounge is the place to be (we knew all the words), We had the devil eggs and Brushetta which was awesome. All the staff are fantastic, great food in Le Boulevardier restaurant, tasting menu was truly delicious. Kudos to everyone.

Great rooms, beautiful hotel. I don't regret staying here one bit. The only note of caution is the restaurant. Don't get anything too fancy for room service, it's not that it's bad but go somewhere nice instead. My colleague and I agreed that the restaurant was okay at best.

I had an excellent stay at Le Germain overall, with one standout moment being the exceptional service from the valet Jaskarm. He went above and beyond by running to a nearby convenience store to grab me a drink, which truly made my day and highlighted their dedication to guest satisfaction. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff were generally friendly and attentive. My only complaint is the restaurant it fell short of expectations with slow service, Despite this, the valet’s outstanding effort and the overall positive experience would bring me back. Highly recommend for a pleasant stay!

We are visiting from Texas and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to walk in and sit right down. Everything turned out just as good as it looks and the level of service wastop notch. Couldn't think of a better breakfast place in downtown Montreal. We also can’t say enough great things about our waiter, Ranjan!

We came here for brunch and were impressed by the wide variety of choices. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. However, the menu was very dirty and sticky, which was off-putting. It would be much better if the menu were updated and cleaned, and some improvements to the food would also be appreciated.

What a lovely staff and food. From our hostess Sahar, who was extremely pleasant and friendly to our very professional server. The food was fresh, delicious and exactly as asked. I have been to other locations, but I think this one was by far the best of them all.

The place is at a busy intersection downtown area/ near st Catherine street where all the shopping & eateries are. Service was lovely and we were quickly seated even though it was busy and food was delivered fairly quickly to the table too , we went around brunch hour on Saturday. The menu makes it hard to choose one thing and the eggs were perfect with just a slightly sour hollandaise sauce. The house salad on the side was good with ample dressing/ the lyonnaise potatoes were perfectly flavoured and done just right. The all American breakfast came with bacon, sausages and ham and poached eggs which hit the spot! Loved the quantities which weren’t crazy but just right. My pancakes though were delicious but I found one corner chewy and I wasn’t sure if they accidentally put in the packaging paper when cutting some ingredient. The coffee was excellent and the burger too was delicious.

Came here for dinner with my wife and we both went straight for the famous smoked meat sandwiches; best decision ever. The meat is unreal: so tender it literally melts in your mouth, with that perfect savory smoky punch and little pockets of sweet fat that make every bite heavenly. Seriously, I’ve never had smoked meat this good anywhere else in the city. Service was fast, friendly, and super efficient even though the place was busy. Fresh rye, great mustard, huge portions, and worth every penny. If you’re craving Montreal smoked meat, this is the spot. Already counting down the days until we come back!

The most amazing Reuben and Club Sandwich. The meat was juicy, moist and stacked high. The Club sandwich was more than anyone can eat. They give you a Hugh pickle, coleslaw and fries. It is pricey but since I got two meals out of my order I was able to justify it. The restaurant was clean with a nice ambience and service was good.

Dunn’s is a great standard in Montreal. The smoked meat sandwich’s are awesome. I often wonder why people buy anything else when they come, but then again they do have a broad menu. But do get the smoked meat sandwich and a Dunns cherry cola - it’s really the standard. Bonus points - if you order anything else, it is a slower service.

This place closes after midnight. We got to our hotel around 11pm, this was one of few options we had. And I’m glad we went there. Their smoked meat is hands-down one of the bests. We shared a smoked club sandwich, asked to upgrade our fries with normal poutine, Louisiana soup and french onion soup. Everything was delicious. Their smoked meat and french onion were amazing. I didn’t care for it. I don’t was it, but I have to mention that I never had it before, so I can’t be a good judge of poutine.

We recently had a positive experience at Sho Dan Sushi in Montreal. After a day of Browse the fantastic boutiques and shops nearby, it was the perfect place to unwind and grab a bite. The food and atmosphere of this place is amazing!! I wanted to try everything on the menu so will be going back. However what we decided to order was good but not excellent. The crab cake was mainly béchamel and onion. Good but not what we expected. Most things were slightly overcooked. For the price we expected perfection! The citrus earl grey sorbet crunch has such potential but has so much liquid it made the ‘crunch’ soggy. Ask to sit in the back if you’re interested in haut cuisine— you have full access to see the kitchen! Very cool. I think we came on an off night because the menu, service and atmosphere speak for themselves! One to come back to to try again 🤞🏻

Our first time at Ferreira cafe. From the beginning we were greeted with a friendly and kind smile by the hostesses. We were early so sat at the bar for some drinks, beautiful bar and comfortable high chairs. Our waiter was very attentive and gave us a good rundown of the food on the menu. I ended up having the fish and seafood bouillabaisse and my wife had the seafood rice casserole. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavour were delicious. My bouillabaisse sauce was so good I had to have it like soup with bread, I also order the carabineiro which added extra flavour! We will definitely come back to Ferreira next time we visit Montreal. Obrigado!

Our server was friendly and attentive the whole time. Only drawback we found was we ordered Caesars as our drink not realizing they were $18 each which wasn't quite worth it. But the rest of the meal made up for it, especially the cheesecake

We’ve been to Reuben’s several times along the years and it has always been good. The food is delicious and the portions are satisfying. The atmosphere is cool and the staff are nice. Also, be careful not to confuse this restaurant with the other one sharing a similar name. This one is the best!

We were looking for a good place to have Montreal smoke meat sandwich. This place seems to be the best around downtown. The inside is quite a bit nicer than other options. Service was excellent. Drinks were good. I ordered the classic Reuben, but added the coleslaw. This was the best sandwich ever! The pumpernickel bread, meat, melted cheese and sauerkraut was perfect combination. The coleslaw was well worth the add on. One of the best coleslaw I've had - more on the vinegary side. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a Montreal smoke meat sandwich! The desserts looked amazing but we were too full.

My girlfriend and I decided to bring my son to Reuben’s for some classic comfort food. It was his first visit, and the restaurant was packed — a clear sign of how popular it is. Thankfully, we had a reservation, so we didn’t have to wait long. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, answering all our questions with a smile. My son and I both ordered the smoked meat sliders, while my girlfriend went with a vegetarian sandwich. Every dish was excellent — flavourful, well-prepared, and served piping hot. The smoked meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sliders themselves were among the biggest I’ve seen anywhere. The portions are generous, and the presentation matches the quality. Between the great service, delicious food, and lively yet comfortable atmosphere, Reuben’s delivered exactly what we were hoping for. A fantastic experience all around, and one we’ll definitely be repeating.

I had lunch buffet here, on October 19th 2025. Lunch buffet was good and tasty, but for vegetarian it need atleast one option of paneer every time as its there best source of protein also its best and lucrative alternative. As, per non vegetarian its worth the money which was 30$ plus tax. They had fresh naan but I would recommend that they should put tandoori roti as option too becz, some people dont like naan and hVe digestion problems. Also, there gulab jamun was must try.

Le Taj offers a beautifully warm and elegant atmosphere, with vintage Indian décor that creates an inviting and authentic setting. Service was professional and attentive, and the ambiance alone sets a high expectation for the dining experience. We opted for the "feast" menu, which included a salad, appetizer, main with a vegetarian side, and dessert. The cucumber and tomato salad was refreshing, if a bit oversized. My fish appetizer was flat in flavor and oddly textured, though my partner’s papdi chaat was crisp, tangy, and truly excellent. For mains, the butter chicken had perfectly cooked meat, but the sauce lacked the depth, spice, and balance expected from such a signature dish. My partner’s lamb vindaloo, however, was a standout - bold, rich, spicy, and deeply satisfying. On the side, the paneer masala had a beautifully balanced tomato-based sauce, while the saag paneer was watery and underseasoned. The naan was exceptional, and the basmati rice decent, though a bit soft. Desserts were pleasant but unremarkable - gulab jamun was as expected, and a milk-based paneer dessert was unique but not particularly memorable. The low point of the evening was unquestionably the cocktails. At $20 each, both the mango mojito and mango martini were disappointing - overly sweet, poorly balanced, and lacking noticeable alcohol & technique. They tasted more like juice than proper cocktails, which felt out of step with the overall experience and definitely a disappointment. In summary, for the overall modest cost (about $120 per person), the experience was fair - beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and a few excellent dishes made it worthwhile. Still, based on its 4.2-star rating and reputation, we expected a bit more across the board. We've enjoyed more flavorful meals at lesser-known Indian restaurants, and with a few refinements - particularly in the cocktails and consistency of dishes - Le Taj could truly shine. While the restaurant itself merits a solid 4 stars, the cocktails were disappointing enough to bring the overall experience down a notch to 3 stars. Fix the cocktails.

Best and oldest Indian restaurant in Montreal, about 40 years old. The service is impeccable by the amazing and sweet staff. Even the owner goes from table to table to make sure the guests are having fun. The food arrival is always quick either is busy or not. Every single dishes from appetizers to dessert are beyond delicious. Always well flavored, and nicely and tenderly cooked. The restaurant is simply beautiful with the vintage Indian decors. The vibe is happy and satisfying with the service and food. 100% recommended.

I ordered the baingan bharta, garlic naan, and poppadoms. The baingan had whole cloves and cardamom, which overpowered the dish when I bit into them, and it ruined the meal for me, whole spices should be removed before serving. The garlic naan tasty, but the poppadoms were chewy instead of crisp. Delivery arrived nicely packed via Uber Eats.

What a great restaurant. It's definitely a vibe and the service is wonderful. We made reservation on a Friday night and was seated right away. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Forgot his name but he's from Montana.😎 Everything we ordered was excellent. If we lived in Montreal we would definitely come back to try all the other things we liked. The beef ribs were cooked perfectly. The chips and dip were so good. We spiced up the feta dip with red pepper flakes and Montana brought us so hot sauces. The caesar salad was tasty with bits of bacon and crispy cheese. Highly recommend this place

We had an amazing brunch at this spot in Montreal! I ordered the Deville scramble with cheddar cheese eggs and potatoes — everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Caesar Bloody Marys were spicy, refreshing, and super tasty. My husband’s dish was also excellent. Overall, a great brunch experience in Montreal — delicious food, fun drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Really wanted to have local oysters again so we decided to go to this place for brunch. Ordered half a dozen of oysters, a lobster Benny and beef ribs. All tastes amazing especially the lobster Benny (49$) and beef ribs. You can tell they put a lot of effort in making them tasty and beautiful. This puts a beautiful full stop to our trip.

Absolutely loved this place, staff was stellar, the chef came out and chatted a bit. The fork and knife Caesar salad was incredible, I've come back home and it's the main thing that stuck out to me. No idea how a salad struck me so well, but it was amazing. I had a steak sandwich too, just to try, wasn't my favorite, but I don't think I like steak sandwiches, I was just trying something new. The bread was amazing though and freshly made. The drinks were also very good, and the bar tender was very friendly. Unlike much of Montreal the music wasn't exploding my eardrums and it was a nice comfy spot. Does close a little early, but highlight recommend if you're looking for a bite!

We went to Deville Dinerbar on a Sunday night after a long drive from Ottawa, and it turned out to be an absolute surprise. The food was outstanding, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. They have an absolutely great beef program that truly stands out. We ordered the short ribs, cheeseburger, Caesar salad, tuna tacos, and fries. Every single dish was perfect. The burger was to die for, and the ribs were some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Canada. The presentation, taste, and overall quality were excellent. The restaurant itself is beautiful, vibrant, stylish, and full of energy. Another highlight was the service. When we arrived without a reservation, we asked for a booth, but the host mentioned they were all taken. One of the managers, who happened to be working at a booth at the back, overheard us and immediately offered us his own table. That thoughtful gesture made a great impression and really showed the professionalism and hospitality of the team. Deville Dinerbar definitely earned a new loyal customer that night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal

This is close to our hotel so we checked it out and we were very happy we did. We had good-sized portions for our breakfast. The servers were amazing. We each had the ultimate breakfast meal while my wife had it with French toast, my son had it with a crepe, and I got the waffle with it. I recommend this spot for anyone.

The food was tasty and the price for it okay. The server noticed that I doesn't speak French The first time. He came back to bring me the bill and started again in French. He seemed a bit upset that I didn't understood him. I paid and then he was even more upset about the tip. Only 5 dollars!? It felt like a bit forced to tip him more so I had given him around 4 US dollars and then he smiled a bit. Location is good

I’ve walked past this place for god knows how many years and never stopped, always assuming it was just an overpriced tourist trap because of its location. Today I decided to give it a shot—why not? It was around noon on a Friday, the terrasse was fairly empty, and we got seated right away with quick service. First surprise: the prices. $13.50 for a 2 eggs and bacon breakfast?! Most spots in town are charging $18–19+ for that now, and often with mediocre quality. I went for the classic breakfast plus a piña colada (also very reasonably priced). The food and drinks came within 10 minutes, and I was instantly impressed. Solid portions. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy, the bacon was thick and delicious, and the scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for better. Compared to places like Cora, where prices are sky-high for microwave bacon and tiny portions, Universel is a breath of fresh air. My drink was also excellent. With everything in the city feeling insanely overpriced since COVID, Universel gave me hope. Great prices, great quality, and fast service—I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The restaurant was warm and cozy except whenever the outside door was opened. I looked forward to the authentic pizza oven 🍕. Ordered a Caesar salad to start and was surprised by the fake bacon bits and tiny store bought croutons. Lettuce was fresh though. The chef's pizza was good although missing the sausage that was advertised. Service was efficient but not friendly.

Very happy we found this restaurant for a birthday dinner, group of 5. We made a last minute reservation and were able to secure a table. Very cozy and lovely decor and atmosphere. We felt like we had flown to Italy for the evening. Wonderful very reasonably priced table d'hote, very good portions and extremely tasty, from the soups, salads, to main dishes and deserts. Our group had veal, chicken, shrimp & pasta as main courses as well as pizza and everybody was very satisfied with their meals. The only recommendation for the kitchen would be to time things better so that all appetizers and mains are served at the same time. There was a lag between the soups and salads and the pizza was served about 15 minutes before those having other main courses. Great value and we all agreed that would gladly return ! Thanks

We ordered pizza, but it wasn’t very flavorful , it felt a bit bland, and there was no sauce. The crust was slightly burnt. Usually, we would ask for the bill, but it was brought to us without asking. There were two staff members; the girl was very kind, but the man’s service could have been more professional.

Stopped in late, around 10:30 pm for a pizza, since many other places closed their kitchen already. I loved the older, authentic Italian vibe. Felt like the restaurant is straight out of the Godfather. Ordered a pizza. It was very good, just didn't like the dry crust. Employees were friendly. A very pretty Italian girl took my order. Seems like maybe it's family owned and operated.

I had a wonderful experience at Restaurant Siciliana in Montreal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly from start to finish. The pizza was outstanding—perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor. The chicken parmigiana was equally delicious, tender and perfectly seasoned with a rich, comforting sauce. Overall, a fantastic meal. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone craving great Italian food in the city!
