We ordered beef noodles #196/197 if I'm not mistaken. The food came tongue-burning hot and surprisingly without chopsticks so we asked for two pairs of them The food was yummy and in a generous portion also side along with green tea The service was ok. If you have Asian friends, better to go together as the menu can make you overwhelmed easily.

Some of the food was tasteless (wonton soup, I’ve added soya sauce just to enjoy it a bit), the meat chewy (sesame plate), and the kitchen had no taste to bad smell. (Kitchen with vegetables, sorry forgot the name!) Both our waiters don’t even smile. The atmosphere was not bad

I loved that Chinese restaurant, very welcoming staff. Free tea with you meal, very good way to clean your palate between each bite. The dumpling in spicy peanut sauce wasn’t spicy at all but damn it was good !! The general Tao was the best I’ve eaten in a while. Very sweet sauce, crunchy chicken filet and generous portion for the price. I highly recommend the General Tao! I also tried the pork salt & spices and it was really good portion for the price and oh damn it was yummy 🤤 The chow mein Beijing had noodles too crunchy for my taste but it was okay taste wise.

We've ordered Diner #3. Most of the food was bland. The Beef sesame was soggy. We asked to replace the chicken in the combo for another chicken, and we were told there was no problem, yet when the bill came, we were charged an extra 3$. The only thing we enjoyed was the fried rice beside, like mentioned previously, everything else was very bland, I would say it was disgusting but I will not be coming back. Also the prices were high for the quantity of food we've received, which disappointing. Left with a 92$ bill for diner #3 and 2 beers. Overall, there is better options in chinatown for better food and prices. I would not recommend this place.

I would give this place 4.5 stars if it were an option. This is a great “hole in the wall” restaurant with fast service and very attentive wait staff. We were served what I’m assuming was cold tap water out of a bottle right away, which was nice to have as soon as we sat down. There was an option to buy canned sodas, but it is not on the menu. We ordered wonton soup, noodles with pork and fried pork dumplings. ALL of the food was EXCELLENT!! Fresh and delicious with just the right seasonings. Loved the chili oil that was brought to the table. Downside, if you don’t know ahead of time is that this is CASH ONLY!! They do take US dollars. Also, this is not a place to go if you want to sit for hours and have cocktails with your friends/family. It is small and they move fast. I never felt rushed but it’s just not a place that you’re going to be hanging out for a long time. We didn’t have to wait for a table but I can see how a line could easily back up.

First, let’s try to get a few points across: 1) Yes, it is cash-only. So, either come prepared or skip it. 2) Yes, it is a small restaurant. Therefore, lineups build up easily during peak times. 3) Yes, the service is quick. As a result, lineups may advance fast but, you may feel rushed as well. 4) Yes, the food is good. However, don’t expect it to blow your mind. Now, depending on how you ponder those points and on how long you waited in line, you will decide if it was worth it or not. Last, this is not the kind of restaurant to sit down for an hour. It is more for a pit stop or takeout, unless you go when it’s not busy.

Fast service even though they were very busy.. one major thing they are CASH ONLY.. would be really nice if they had a sign somewhere right out front but we didn't see one. If you get stuck like we did there is an ATM across the street in the holiday inn

One of the best places to visit for authentic noodles and dumplings!! We are vegans/ vegetarians in our family and we were super conscious before visiting the store and we called them up and discussed our options in the restaurant! Must say they were very patient enough to explain us despite being a busy weekend at the restaurant! When it comes to the food very beautifully served and delicious dumplings to die for! One of the noodles we liked and wanted to relish… they were so honest to tell us that the noodles would/may have eggs and gave us the same recipe with rice noodles! Absolutely delicious noodles filled with veggies! Amazing experience and will always visit when in Montreal

The atmosphere is super enjoyable and the experience is definitely nice. The service was really good and their staff is friendly. This place is definitely great for healthier food options, but it's nothing extraordinary. Although, I really liked the goma sauce and the spicy broth. I took the chicken breast combo but I think there were better options. It was also pretty pricey, but I think it was worth it, especially if you're going with friends, it's a super fun experience.

We really enjoyed our hot pot experience. They offer a great selection of shabu shabu for 2. We went with an option that had both meats and seafood. I particularly enjoyed the raw egg that was part of the sauce. The place also has a wide selection of Japanese soda. I was pleasantly surprised when my yuzu soda came not in a bottle, but in a glass with yuzu peel in it. 🤩

I just want to tell about how great dinner in Montreal. the one of Japanese lady server did a very good job of explaining service. I haven’t had Shabushabu long time but the restaurant remind me clearly my hometown taste. My Korean friends first time here and love it! very fresh, high quality ingredients! the Sesame dipping definitely Japanese style. very recommend.

I came here in a very early cold morning and the cafes around were still closed. My friend told me that in this cafe they offer very good croissants. It was very truth! The freshly baked croissant I had there was the best in my life according I've been in a lot of places around the world. Hope one day I'll go back there.

These cupcakes are so good! I stop by the shop in Old Port every chance I get, and when I'm in the area. They have many great flavors and I've had amazing service every time. They also offer a small cupboard handle if you need to carry your cupcakes home 🧁

I was at the lower level Cafe Depot in the food court of Complexe Desjardin on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at about 18h30, and the person making the coffee (sorry I didn't get your name) was amazing. She was the only employee so there was a significant line up, but she took care to make everyone feel special. My Americano was perfect.

Right away we were given the best service by our lovely hostess Melissa and they made us feel so welcomed and cared for. We made a mistake on our order and they happily accommodated for us with the best attitude we could ask for. Best place to celebrate our St. Patrick’s vacation.

Went there for happening gourmand for brunch we had a reservation so there wasn’t a wait the restaurant was full, so would suggest a reservation, especially for brunch. The food was served very quickly and the servers were very nice. It’s not a brunch that I go out of my way for. I had the lobster eggs Benedict and it was just OK and finish off with the orange crepe which was a bit too orangey for my liking but that’s just my preference. Really nice atmosphere. I’d like to try it for dinner, but brunch didn’t blow my socks off.

We had a lovely breakfast this morning while staying at this hotel. The yogurt parfait was absolutely delectable and quite a generous serving! My latte was accompanied by a delicious little shortbread cookie! Our server was excellent…very friendly and attentive. Thank you!

i LOVED this place - best eggs benedict i’ve ever had. the ham is toasted to become crispy and has such lovely salty flavor. the hollandaise sauce was some of the best i’ve had as it was so well seasoned. would recommend their mimosas as well!

Went for brunch today to celebrate my friend's birthday in a private room, and I have to say, the service, food, and overall aesthetics were absolutely AMAZING! these dumplings are really so tasty!! we had all of ours boiled, we tried beef, pork and lamb, as well as the shrimp dumplings and the siu mai. everything was just so good!! the beef ones especially. the service was fast and the staff was really nice; it is a really good, cozy family-owned dumpling restaurant!! would definitely come back also, i must say, it is cash only!! but they do have an atm at the front of the restaurant.

This place has great dumplings! I would recommend the steamed / boiled ones and not the fried ones. We came here for dinner. They inform you as you walk in that they are cash only and they have an atm on premise for you. We tried the 2 dim sum options which were really delicious. I got the chefs platter fried and we definitely got 2 options but I didn’t taste a third one. It may have been cos they were all fried. I found the batter thick on these. The next time we came back we got all boiled options and those were delicious. I loved the shrimp and pork selections. They have about 15 tables and are pretty generous with the chili oil. You have to go to the back to pay when you’re done. I would definitely go back

The dumplings are absolutely wonderful! It's a cash only location, so make sure you are aware. They gave an ATM in the front that can help if you forget. The servers were helpful and brought us plenty of water. It was a great experience overall.

Honestly, not very good. Everything is very very salty, oily, and sweet (more so than other Chinese food) Our chowmein was clearly sitting in an oven to keep hot because the edges were burned and black. The soy chicken and BBQ pork were quite good, but the duck was overly salty. The service was slow but nice. After being seated, the food came really quickly.

Highlights : - Char Siu Pork - Crispy roast pork belly - Well Seasoned fried chicken! They kept to same retro style as the old restaurant (it was a chinese noodle before) and it brings out some childhood memories ♥️

We went there on a Friday night, around 7h00 pm. I was expecting a big crowd, but it was pleasantly calm to see we didn't have to wait long (less 5 min) to get a table. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. Compared to other asian restaurants in Chinatown, the staff speaks excellent french/english. Decor has pretty cool vibe, mostly inspired from Bruce Lee and other movies/videogames from the 90's. Restaurant was ok in term of cleanliness, I have seen much worse in Chinatown. The menu is not extensive, but has enough items to please most crowds. We were a party of two, and we decide to take a speciality combo : Fried rice + combination of 3 meats (roasted pork, char Siu, and duck). The rice was very tasty, had that charred flavor that only a wok under gas grill can accomplish. A bit greasy (watch out diet followers), but that is to be expected. - Char Siu : very good, the meat was juicy and delicious. Maybe I would have liked a bit more browned/cooked on the exterior, but overall very good. - Roasted pork : the crispy skin is umamic! Meat was juicy, not dried at all. Maybe the best meat of all 3. Wished we had a bit more of this one! - Duck : less crispy skin than the roasted pork but still very good. The meat was slightly dried, but the taste was there. There was also green onion sauce with ginger, and pickled vegetables on the side, which were appreciated. It costs us 20$ + tip, and we have enough food for 2. Probably one of the best value for money in Chinatown. The only downside (and major upside) is that it's located inside a building. Not on Viger street. So you gotta know where to go. Takeout is also possible. Overall, the food was better than most of Chinatown restaurants where I've been, and it has an exceptional value for money. Will certainly go back. Perfect to bring a date, while showing your foodie personality!

You know the unspoken golden rule when it comes to restaurants. If people are waiting in line, food will most probably be worth it. And it was totally worth it , solid 5 in terms of taste I took the number 2. Please be ready to wait as : 1) waiting line. 2) small place. 3) they are busy. I was immensely satisfied of the experience. I had my chili oil on the side. Strongly recommend the hand pulled noodles. ( This is not a fancy sit down with lots of cushioned chairs and large tables, this is a small intimate place which delivers warm and comfort food for the soul)

First day exploring. 16 degrees F and was looking for a nice bowl of noodles and broth. Stumbled upon this noodle shop because the gentlemen in the window pulling the hand drawn noodles caught our attention. Upon walking in, there were steps into an underground Asian super market. Ambiance was great for a small noodle shop. Service was great. #6 noodles was my go to. Spice level wasn’t bad, wish it was spicier. Definitely ask for vinegar to add into broth to balance out the MALA flavor. Other than that, I would recommend this spot for a nice bowl of noodles on a cold day!

I heard about this place and had to try it. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The beef soup was spectacular and the noodles were fantastic. Great prices too. If you like hand made fresh noodles this is a good spot! Next time, I will try the Dan Dan noodles.

Freshly made hand pulled noodles is definitely the best part of this restaurant! The Zhajiang noodles and the beef starter were my favourites. The Dan Dan noodles and beef noodle soup was tasty too. Ambience can be better, always feels claustrophobic dining here, hoping they move to a bigger dining hall which can accommodate more people.

We ordered the cucumber salad and combo #1 (and added chili oil). The noodles were soft and delicious. The meat is tender. We asked for the broth in the noodle dish to not be spicy. Even if you choose the not spicy option, it will still be a little spicy. The choice of sizes for the noodle dishes are: small, medium, and large. The medium bowl is VERY big (you definitely get your money's worth). We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated (there is always a long line) - but the staff work extremely quickly.
