Fantastic experience at NYKS in Montreal. The vibe was relaxed and inviting, service was absolutely superb, and every dish delivered. The four cheese French onion soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The NYKS classic poutine was exactly what you’d want—crispy fries, savory gravy, and perfectly melty cheese curds. The duck confit poutine took it to another level—decadent, flavorful, and worth every bite. Would absolutely come back next time I’m in Montreal.

Went here on a Monday evening. Enjoyed a pint of Guinness while enjoying Montreal. Ordered the muscles and fries. Biggest muscles I’ve had and the fries were top notch. Recommend checking out Nyk’s.

Great food and an excellent menu. The beef tartare was excellent, accompanied by a perfectly seasoned salad and fries. Really easy to talk to people round the bar and the staff. Has a new york vibe about it. I d strongly recommend.

Had a nice meal here while traveling to Montreal on business. Grabbed a seat at the bar and had the onion soup + duck confit poutine. Everything was tasty, although I did find the bread to be a bit much in the soup, but that’s probably a personal preference more than anything. Would come back again!

Wonderful table service in a warmly lit, comfortable environment. Food was good, although it is pretty standard pub fare. Good range of drinks at good prices. Would happily go again. Also, cutest logo of all time.

I have had a bad experience with the food from Baton Rouge before, so my expectations were very low coming in tonight. And let me tell you, this time, everything was exceptional.
We had a table of 9 and were greeted by Louis right off the bat - super engaging, super funny, super accommodating. My partner and I decided to grab the truffle mac n cheese entrée, and the short rib seafood pappardelle - and we absolutely devoured it. The time it took for our food to reach the table from when we placed the order was quick - which was a pleasant surprise - and the food came HOT.
Huge shout-out to Lany, who was a great presence for helping out Louis with us at our table and for their amazing service and attention to detail.
I am so glad I can safely say I will be coming back to this restaurant. I look forward to trying more from the menu.

The food here is always really good. I personally really enjoy their ribs, but they have good steak also and the baked potatoes are delicious.
This location is quite large so they rarely have any waiting time.
There are so many things to do in the area that it makes it a perfect spot to eat at if you're in the downtown area for a show, shopping, etc.

I had the short rib seafood pappardelle and it was very good. Lots of protein, pasta cooked well and not too salty. Big portion sizes.
Stopped there for lunch with 3 young kids on a snow day, week day and the service was excellent and quick.

What a fun night at Baton Rouge!
The Hostess was great and readily accommodated a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) without a reservation on a Montreal playoff game night at 7 pm.
Our waiter, Oli, was amazing! He immediately read our group and slid right into character.
He joked with us, respectfully, never over-top, and was also super attentive to everyone’s needs and requests. The food was all prepared, fresh and exactly to specifications.
Oli did not hover, but always seemed to show up at the exact right time.
The experience was top notch from start to finish….

The service is amazing and the food is great as well. Our server, Rita, is wonderful. She was attentive with my son, and she also make sure that everything was great at our table. We came here for my birthday, we didn't planned to come here but we were so surprised the place is better than we thought. The baby back ribs are just perfect, the drinks (the mezcalito and the smoked old fashioned) are amazing as well as the chocolate cake. We definitely will be back. And thanks you Rita, and staff for the great service.

After a long walk through downtown Montréal, this place is exactly what you need to recharge. The atmosphere is super cool and cozy—perfect for relaxing and unwinding with a cold, high-quality beer.
The beer we had (Echinopsis) was incredibly smooth and very delicious—easy to drink and full of great flavor.
A special thanks to Lou, who was extremely kind and helpful. They really made our day and added to the whole experience.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re exploring the city and want a proper craft beer break!

Can't say much about the food since I didn't eat. The outdoor terrace was nice however we ended up moving indoors since it started to rain. The staff quickly adjusted so we could all come inside. Drinks are reasonably priced like most other bars.

Nice brewery with an old, cozy rustic vibe and really friendly service. The open hours are one of its best features. Definitely try their 🥨 It’s worth it. They don’t serve fries or any other kitchen food. The beer selection isn’t exceptional, but it’s still quite good.

I want to clarify a recent negative review regarding Melody. I was present and witnessed the entire interaction. The customer in question was disrespectful from the start, refused to tip, and was looking for an issue where there wasn’t one. Melody handled the situation with professionalism, patience, and grace.
We’ve been coming to Benelux during the busy holiday season—two days before Christmas—and Melody has consistently provided exceptional service. She’s attentive, welcoming, and truly phenomenal at what she does. The atmosphere, drinks, and service have been excellent.
Melody is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve encountered. If you’re coming to Benelux, make sure you sit at the bar and ask for Melody—you won’t be disappointed.

A very unique venue. First round of service took a very long time for someone to take our order and after that it was fine. Drinks were on the pricey side. Went to see Freddie James Project and they were excellent! Would return to see them again.

We had such a great experience at La Balconé, and a huge part of that was thanks to Normand, our server for the evening. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of without ever being overbearing.
He had great timing throughout the dinner and show—always there when we needed something, but also letting us fully enjoy the atmosphere and performance. His recommendations were spot on, and he brought such a positive, professional energy to the table.
It really elevated the whole night for us. Thank you, Normand, for making our evening so enjoyable—we’ll definitely be back!

The staff is amazing and very helpful, since it is a bit of a maze going through the church.

I had a below-average experience at this restaurant and, for the price, I honestly expected much better. The service was noticeably slow, and it took a long time to be attended to throughout the meal. On top of that, several wines listed on the menu weren’t actually available, which was disappointing given the size of the wine list.
The same issue came up with food, a few dishes on the menu couldn’t be ordered. The menu also stated you could add seafood to the arrabbiata pasta, but staff told us that option had been cancelled some time ago, and the menu simply hadn’t been updated. For a restaurant like this, I’d expect more attention to detail and a smoother overall experience.
To make matters worse, there was a mouse running around the dining area. An employee eventually dealt with it and removed it, but it was still quite unpleasant and not something you want to see while dining. Overall, the experience fell short, and I wouldn’t be in a rush to return..

Horrible attitude from the waitress when I complained how long it took to get served the main dish. (1h15 minutes). Arrogant and rude. She walked away when I spoke to her. I didn't even leave a tip and usually I am a generous tipper. I have been here many times but this is the last time.

I am really sorry to the owner for his selection of an incompetent and arrogant manager that was working on December 21st. We had the worst experience ever both from a service point of view and food quality. The waiter that she stated that she is also the manager was extremely unprofessional in many sense (communication and service). The food in general was of a lesser quality than a 4stars restaurant. Clearly I will never step in this restaurant in the future. I feel very bad for the customers if the quality and service is the same and also feel bad for the owner for his poor choice of manager !!! I gave a low tip for the poor experience we had and we got insulted in public for it, she told us that we are not allowed in the restaurant in the future!!! As if I will even consider it. I am stunned and surprise how did they get the 4stars

For the price, I definitely expected the food and drinks to be better. The atmosphere and service was probably what stood out the most to me.
The appetizers platters tasted ok at best. I expected more for the tasting platter but there really wasn't much for $24. The calamari was warm and didn't have too much seasoning to it ( I suppose it's because they were expecting the sauce to cover up for it?).
The cocktail I ordered tasted more like a fruity mocktail. The three Sake were definitely interesting. They all had their distinctive flavours and temperature which made the drinking experience more unique while eating.
The pokebowl was just very ordinary. The portion was decent but again nothing really stood out. The fish didn't taste all that fresh and again, It didn't have much flavour outside of the sauces.
The dessert was probably the best part of the meal. The key lime pie lime wasn't too sour and has a good hint of lime on each bite. The lava cake was chocolatey and smooth. I also ordered the black sesame icecream and thought it was pretty decent and had a good hint of sesame on each bite (considering how rare it is to actually find black sesame icecream in the first place).
One of the better highlights of Sesame was that they had really good service and the orders came in a timely manner.

We had a reservation, and were seated right away. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was busy so it took a bit longer for things to get to us but overall with the amount of people there they did an amazing job. Food was ok, my daughter is gluten sensitive so she had the butter chicken and she liked it. It was more rice and vegetables than chicken but it was ok. I had their special ramen of the month and again ok but it was also more broth than ramen. Flavors were ok though. Drinks were delicious though so points for that. Overall my most expensive meal in Montreal so far but good experience for the night.

We sat on the patio, and enjoyed the social energy of the plaza. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu was in English or French. The food was fresh and delicious! Along with a full bar menu, they offered unique (and very tasty) mocktails! The shrimp Tempura was light and flavorful. The Mini Poke Bowl, which had salmon, was balanced and the salmon was perfect. Would highly recommend a visit!

Was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Despite the price being a bit hefty, the food is absolutely amazing. My favorite of them all was the crunchy salmon on lemon slices. It was unlike any eating experience I've ever had before- super flavorful (naturally) and refreshing!! The menu is quite extensive so take your time. Service is helpful and nice. Don't let the looks of the place fool you, it is so good!

I visited here expecting more traditional Japanese-style sushi based on the reviews.
The restaurant is clean, and the prices are quite affordable, which makes it a convenient option for casual dining.
However, the sushi is closer to North American-style rolls rather than traditional Japanese sushi. Most rolls include ingredients like tempura flakes, sauces, and vegetables, and the “maki” was quite different from what I would normally expect (e.g. not the classic Japanese fillings).
The rolls were also quite loosely prepared, with some ingredients slightly falling out.
It’s a good place if you’re looking for inexpensive and filling sushi-style food, but it may not match expectations if you are looking for authentic Japanese sushi.

I stumbled upon this sushi gem recently, and I can't stop raving about it! This place has quickly become my go-to spot for delicious sushi in town. The food here is incredibly fresh, and each bite is bursting with flavor. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for a tasty meal, this place won't disappoint.
One of the things that really stands out about this sushi shop is the value for money. Despite the top-notch quality of their ingredients, the prices here are very reasonable. You get a lot of bang for your buck, which is always a plus.
In addition to their dine-in experience, they also offer catering services, which I've had the pleasure of trying at a corporate event. The sushi platters were a hit among everyone, and it added a special touch to the occasion. So whether you're hosting a corporate gathering or a special event, this place has you covered.
What's more, I find myself frequenting this spot regularly for weekday lunches. Whether I dine in or grab takeout, the experience is always consistent and satisfying. It's become a highlight of my week!
Overall, I can't recommend this sushi spot enough. From the freshness of the food to the affordability and excellent catering options, it's a winner in my book. If you're in the mood for some top-quality sushi, look no further than this place!

I’ve been here a couple times and the food has been consistently delicious and fresh each time! I highly recommend the sushi and rolls, however, I found the poke bowls a bit overpriced for the portion size compared to what you can get at similar places; that’s the only reason this is a 4 star review and not a 5. But overall, this is a lovely place with great staff and very yummy food - I definitely recommend!

Visiting from Boston, and found this restaurant to be in walking distance from out hotel so we decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we did! The atmosphere is very laid back and fun. We were seated upstairs at a window and had a wonderful view. My husband ordered The Nashville Chicken Benedict and enjoyed it, although he did wish it had a little more heat. I had the breakfast poutine and it was top notch! My mimosa was perfect and his bourbon lemonade was exactly what he was looking for in a morning cocktail.

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of this restaurant. The interior design is beautiful, thoughtfully curated, and creates a unique vibe that makes the dining experience feel special from the moment you walk in. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into every detail, from the décor to the presentation of both the food and drinks.
The food itself was delicious, with great flavors and high-quality ingredients. That said, two of the three pizzas we ordered were noticeably overcooked and had burnt crusts, which took away from what could have been an excellent meal. Hopefully, that was just an inconsistency rather than the norm.
The cocktails were another highlight although they were a bit overpriced. They were beautifully presented, creative, and visually impressive, with unique flavor combinations that made them fun to try. My only concern was that the glasses had a slight unpleasant smell, which made me wonder if they could be cleaned more thoroughly before serving. It’s a small detail, but it can make a noticeable difference to the overall experience.
Despite those issues, I would still recommend giving this restaurant a try. The atmosphere is fantastic, the menu is creative, and the food and drinks have a lot of potential. With a little more attention to consistency and cleanliness, this place could easily become one of my favorites.

We came to Tiamo on a weekend and it was pretty busy, the atmosphere was pretty nice. We ordered the soup of the day as an appetizer, and got a beet soup. It was pretty good, and the croutons added some nice texture. For mains we ordered the Burrata pizza and the Cavatelli Al Ragu. The Burrata pizza was very good, the burrata was very fresh and creamy. The Cavatelli Al Ragu on the other hand was a little too salty and the pasta was a bit too hard. We sent it back and got another one but it had the same problem. However the service was amazing and they even offered us dessert on the house. We got the Tiramisu and the Cannoli which were both very delicious. The service was great and they were very understanding. We would definitely come back.

I went to Tiamo on a date with my partner and we had such a great experience overall. The food was absolutely amazing — everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. We shared a burrata to start, then had a Margherita pizza and the Medaglioni Florentine (which was insanely good), and finished with a fresh cannoli for dessert. We also each had a refreshing lemonade, and the total came to $122 tip included, which felt reasonable for the quality.
One thing to keep in mind is that they use a wood-fired oven for the pizza, which gives it that delicious, slightly smoky flavor — but your clothes might smell a bit like smoke afterward.
The only small downside was that we waited quite a while for the food, but honestly, it was worth it once everything arrived.
Overall, a really nice spot for a date with high-quality, authentic-tasting food. I would definitely go back!

My best friend and I had an amazing experience at Tiamo. Bianca & Oleksandra accommodated my bestie who is vegan and created a custom pizza, loaded up with every veggie they had! The atmosphere is modern and lively and the cocktails were very elevated & polished. We had such a great time chatting with all the staff. Highly recommend!

We came in with no reservation and got sat at the window which was nice. The atmosphere was nice and the decor was modern. The food did not match the outside. I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was grilled till bone try. It was like biting into old bread. My boyfriend ordered the fettuccini Alfredo and it was good. The portions are small, there was a handful of pasta on the plate. The waitress was super nice. But while the waitress and the other employees were dressed nicely. The manager was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Overall ok experience.
