Montreal is full of hidden culinary gems, and Restaurant Casa Alentejo is exactly the kind of place I love discovering. From the outside it’s easy to overlook, but once you’re inside, you’re treated to outstanding Portuguese cuisine prepared with real care. One of the biggest bonuses for me is the location. It’s just off the busy Saint-Hubert shopping district, so it’s much easier to find street parking than at many restaurants in the area. The seafood is exceptional. I ordered the grilled octopus and the loup de mer (branzino). The branzino was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and rich, buttery flavor. The octopus was tender, meaty, and grilled to perfection with a wonderful smoky finish. The staff were thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind, making the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. It’s also a great place to catch a FIFA match while enjoying an authentic Portuguese meal. If you’re looking for classic Portuguese cooking without the crowds or flashy exterior, Restaurant Casa Alentejo is a true hidden gem and one I’ll definitely be returning to.

Great portuguese restaurant with authentic and delicious food! As an entree I reccomend the cod croquettes and the grilled sardines. For dessert, try the Arroz doce (rice pudding)! It will not dissapoint. Very friendly staff.

Amazing service from start to finish even though I was alone and didn’t order a lot. The quail was pretty good, it came with salad, bread, margarine (why not butter or oil?) and olives. I mentioned I liked it but didn’t think it was special so they offered me a decaf espresso and a dessert on the house. Very considerate and smart! This was the best nata I’ve ever had :)

I've been coming here for years and it's always delicious! Family owned restaurant, traditional Portuguese food, comforting and amazingly good. It's really affordable and you can have live music on Saturday nights.

A hidden Portuguese restaurant. Happy To have tried this restaurant! Their dishes are pretty big and everything was amazing. Would definitely go back there for their lamb and their seafood dishes.

This is the healthiest, freshest, most flavorful Indian food I have ever had. And it's VEGAN. The Chef has extensive knowledge of how to make Indian food absolutely delicious - it's a combo of science, love, passion, dedication, and heritage! The roti reminds me of my mom's! Must try the vegan kulfi and vegan baigan bartha.

Thank you for a lovely LOVEY LOVEY lunch!!! The BEST flavors , the best naan, the best lentils, the best tofu. Mango juice is divine. I'm the number one fan of this restaurant and their business. Ask the owner and family about their story , you will be inspired. I wish they were open on Mondays too! Also the PORTION SIZE! I am so tired of going to restaurants to give me a small portion for some ~20$. Here they actually NOURISH you!! I scream from the rooftops to come here!!! Long live HINDSUTALI 💚💚💚

Such a lovely place. Great tasting Indian food with real humans with real care serving you. Prices are fair as well. We really enjoyed all the dishes and drinks. We will go back for sure. Thank for such a nice meal.

This joint is awesome. The prices are very reasonable, the owners are good and welcoming people, and of course the food is excellent. If you have the chance and some cash to spare, I would highly recommend getting the Thalis and just trying everything - there are 0 misses at this restaurant. Vegan or not, this place is worth your dinner outing.

One of the best restaurants Ive been to! The food is amazing, always fresh, and feels like home-made, especially the baiga bharta. It’s not oily at all and the portions are perfect. The owners are very welcoming. I highly recommend.

I stopped by chance at this wonderful halal place , I can’t recommend it enough. Warm welcome and the people working there are attentive and friendly. Coscous is absolutely delicious . The vegetarian pizza is very tasty too. This is a rare find in Montreal that nails what our mothers would make at home: comforting food that’s full of flavour and love. Best part? The prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. For anyone who enjoys home-food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you will love it here. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We randomly discovered this restaurant and I honestly couldn't be happier! The food is SO tasty, it literally feels as if you're eating traditional home made food. The portions are BIG (we had left overs for two days!) and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I ordered from here for the first time. The lasagna at first look appeared like it was going to be good with a lot of cheese on top, however, under it was all noodles (way too much) and not much sauce or meat. That might be the way you like your lasagna, to each their own. The poutine was not with curd cheese, not that they said what kind of cheese they use - maybe that's the problem. I will not be ordering from here again.

Managed by a Well Seasoned Ex- Colombus cafe managers, Falco stand up to its very name. Huge space filled with individual and group sitting options. A couple of community tables are also there. Coffees are great and served with highest quality. But the place is most known for its Japanese themed food options including Go-to lunch options. Great wifi and tens of options to plug your devices. For the washroom, we have to use the one in the main building. It looks like a 5 star hotel toilet. Clean, neat and maintained. Staff are friendly, smiling and very attentive. There is a BiXi station just in front. It is a place you got to try once.

I enjoyed their onigiri and miso soup, and the work ambiance which is quiet and feels like there is enough room to breathe and think properly. The waiter made a mistake on my choice of onigiri and gave me the one i had ordered right after I told him, so it felt respectul and kind. Good vibe, I'll be back often!

This is a very different type of high end coffee shop, and the uniqueness of it makes it very appealing. It has a Japanese feel to it, the onigiri lunch options and miso soup are excellent, and the siphon style coffee is also top notch; its also something I've never seen elsewhere in Montreal. New owners have taken over, and the quality seems to have been maintained. Overall a great place to sit, eat and have coffee.

Really nice place to have a quick meal and maybe stay a bit longer to enjoy its nice setup either for chilling or working. They do have a few vegetarian options which I appreciated but be aware that they might not have everything available near closing time.

This is the first time I try this place and I’m glad I took my chances on it ! I ordered a Salmon poke bowl on Uber Eats. The price was reasonable and it was super tasty, generous portion, salmon was fresh and they did not skimp out on it which I greatly appreciate ! For reference, here’s a pic of the bowl halfway through and as one can see, I still have quite a few pieces of salmon left ! I’ve seen establishments put half the amount of the salmon left in the whole bowl. I will order exclusively from this place from now on and I hope they keep the same level of quality over time. My family and I recently ordered from this place and it was the greatest choice ever! The sushi was delicious and fresh, the service is great and the prices are pretty fair. Best sushi in Rosemont, you should definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

Ordered takeout from Coupe de Thon for a weekday lunch. They do sushi and poke bowls. Free side dish for every $45.00 spent and there’s a few lunch specials (11:00am-4:00pm). They have a sister restaurant, Le B-38 Sushi. - Soupe miso - Salade verte - Raviolis frit au poulet et legumes - Crevettes tempura ($7.95) - decent - Poké saumon midi ($17.00) - tastier than expected. Salmon was fresh and good variety with avocado, wakame, edamame, oshinko, mango and cucumber - Poké au poulet ($16.00) - standard - Assortiment deluxe ($18.00) - 6x hotomaki, 8x futomaki and 3 nigiri. Similar to the box for 2 - Boîte pour 2 ($41.00 for 36)

I don’t often give a 5-star rating, but this place deserves it! The cafe has a beautiful, bright and open environment with plenty of seating. My wife and I chose one of the window seats, and the waitress came quickly and was very attentive for the whole time we were there. We both got the fried chicken eggs benedict and absolutely loved it, it was perfectly cooked and so delicious. The home fries were perfect and crispy and the salad with a balsamic dressing was so tasty. This was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Clean plate certified! We also got an iced coffee each, they were delightful, so good in fact that we bought a bag of beans too! 10/10 would recommend! We will be back!

The minute my partner and I walked in we were immediately sat and taken care of. The cafe has such a simple cosy vibe to it that makes the atmosphere feel so comforting. Our server was extremely welcoming and friendly with us, checking in throughout our meal and making sure we were good. In terms of food, they have a great selection to pick out from so even if you are picky- they have it all! We ordered their cheat day, a side of fruits and benedict with fried chicken. The meal was just as comforting as the café, it was super filling and delicious. I did also order a coffee and it was probably the best one I’ve had within a brunch restaurant. I did find the potato home style fries to be a bit bland but they have salt/pepped shakers on the table! I’d 100% recommend stopping by this gem and trying out their amazing food!

A really wonderful place, it was perfect for our trip to Montreal from some time ago. We still remember it as a nice place after all the time that passed. Once we discovered it, my husband and I came here each day for breakfast (actually it was more like brunch!) and enjoyed it very much: the Shakshuka, the eggs, the creative and tasty desserts! We had this Voyageur dessert with a cloud of cotton candy and a small plane. Delicious, funny and looking amazing! Also, really conveniently placed near the metro, it happened also to be very close to the airbnb we stayed in. The owners - the lady and the cook - were very nice and accommodating. Should we return to Montreal, we would love to come back here, the food was very good and the atmosphere welcoming. Thank you very much once again for your kind welcome!

Nice find... superb service. quality and prices are perfect and the ingredients so fresh. i took "Boeuf citronnelle" and "Poulet grillé" and they were both so good in the mouth and my belly is full. Trully recommend this little place i found and everyone should give them a try for sure 5⭐️

I ate the Banh Mi Beef Citronelle It was absolutely spot on. The meat was juicy without being oily, the vegetables were fresh, crunchy and packed with flavour. The staff was really nice, they’re the ones who proposed that specific Banh Mi & honestly after tasting it, I will come to try all the different kinds they have. 10/10
