3 Star Rating Giving it 3 stars because food was really not good for my liking. Everything just tasted soooo blend, no savoury taste. Tartare was really not good, whatever sauce they made it with, needs to be changed and enhanced. The bread that came with it tasted like Nothing… like i thought maybe that would have tasted good but nope. The salad was meh. Just the fact that all 4 of us on the table disliked our meal makes me not want to go back but.. never know. Maybe a 2nd chance is worth it. Place itself looks great, love the decor. Also our service was excellent, our waitress made sure everything and everyone was well served. We also had a complicated order due to allergies but with great service, it made everything smooth and pleasant. I don’t have an opinion on recommending, but it’s definitely not for my taste buds.

5 Star Rating I wish I could give ten stars. The food - PHENOMENAL. Everyone that sings the praises of the french toast is so right. It’s unlike any french toast you’ve ever had. Do not miss ordering it. The beef tartare was divine, with phenomenal flavor and decadent texture. My husband loved the cold zucchini soup and the skate entree. The flavors are tremendous throughout the whole meal. We had an incredible waiter, Jean-Phillipe, who recommended an excellent local wine and brought me a sparkler with the best cotton candy I’ve ever had for my birthday. The hostess was also so kind and showed my husband where to pay for parking. I wish I wasn’t here visiting so I could come back often!

5 Star Rating La Fabrique is an absolute gem! We ate New Year’s Day brunch at this popular restaurant on our first visit. Given the holiday, we had only been able to get a last-minute reservation for two seats at their bar. Nevertheless, we are so very glad that we started off 2026 with this meal. I cannot say enough positive things about the friendly, professional service we received throughout our visit. The hostess who greeted and seated us was beyond lovely and attentive. The barman who deftly managed the constant coffee and beverage orders somehow also remained warm and welcoming during our meal. The brunch offering is truly “next level!” My wife and I shared a beautiful potato and mushroom croquette served with a small, perfectly dressed radicchio, radish and pickled onion salad. Sadly, it was gone before I thought to take a photo of it, but it was as nicely presented as it was delicious. We then ordered the veal blanquette and the brioche with grilled halloumi, carrot puree and sautéed portobello mushroom and spinach. Each element of these dishes was excellent and they were incredibly tasty. We will definitely be returning to La Fabrique and highly recommend it!

5 Star Rating We had the most wonderful brunch at Le Bistrot La Fabrique this Sunday and it could not have been more perfect! • The service was impeccable, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Michel, our server, was amazing, and every staff member we interacted with was equally kind and welcoming. We truly felt special. • The food was delicious and pure indulgence , beautifully presented and full of flavor. We sat on the patio on a gorgeous Sunday morning, with blue skies above and rue Saint-Denis buzzing with life. The atmosphere was just perfect. • And the personal touch of bringing out a glass filled with bright pink cotton candy with a candle for our friend’s birthday was the sweetest, most whimsical surprise to end the meal. Thank you for making the occasion feel so special. • A true gem, we will definitely be back!

5 Star Rating Delicious food and outstanding service! I was fairly impressed by how simple and still tasty the dishes were. I took a salad and a dessert, and both were copious, well-prepared, and had great presentation. Also, the service was great and super quick! Definitely coming back if I happen to be in the area.

5 Star Rating We visited Café Cherrier for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. They offer a special brunch menu from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. We both ordered the croque monsieur, and they were excellent. The croque monsieur comes with salad and fries. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. There was a small mix-up with our order due to a communication issue—English was his second language and we only speak English—but he corrected it quickly and even brought us a complimentary fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was a thoughtful gesture. The cappuccino was also very good. Overall, a pleasant brunch experience with friendly service!

5 Star Rating It appears from other reviews that service is unpredictable at times. Our head waiter was actually outstanding and attentive and very professional. He was friendly and made wonderful suggestions. We have fell apart was that any other server that assisted paid no attention to his seat assignments and had to verbally call out over and over again what the dishes were so we constantly had to figure out who had what. The food though was outstanding in we loved every single part of the meal including desert and would certainly come back again. We had a table on the patio and the weather was so nice we absolutely enjoyed the ambiance. Merci!

3 Star Rating Overall: 5.75/10 Food: 6/10 Service: 5/10 Atmosphere 6/10 If you’re considering this restaurant but also looking at other options I would suggest going elsewhere. If you’re in a bind and just want some french food, I would say it’s an alright choice. We came here last minute as was surprised we were able to make a reservation for 8 for Saturday evening. Some of us had the table d’hote while others ordered a la a carte. The overall consensus was the food seemed a bit underwhelming, from the appetizers like the tomato soup, onion soup, salmon gravlax, the dishes were alright nothing special. As for the mains some had the fish of the day, others the steak and some had the bone marrow, we all agreed that the taste was alright. When it came time to for dessert it was more of the same the cakes and tarts were just average. As for the service, it was the weakest element of the night, from missing desserts to bringing us dishes or coffees we didn’t order, it just seemed like a big mess. And to top it off our waiter poured the sauce on the dish onto the table without noticing. It was a disappointing experience.

5 Star Rating Rarely a restaurant will fill 5 stars out of five on all levels. Le Nil Bleu is one of this 5 stars. Despite the 30 years restaurant’s lifelong, i didn’t know about it. A small place beside a small hotel. PROS: 1. The decor is luxurious, upper and lower level, even the corridor to the bathroom and the bathroom itself are nicely decorated 2. Spotless clean everywhere; before the meal, we were handed white warm towels on a plate to clean our hands 3. I took the tasting dish, so small quantities to taste a bit of everything. It was delicious, flavourful, i couldn’t finish the second plate, i was full. 4. The waiters are bilingual, very respectfull, they explain every dish. Thank you Francis and thank you Stefano, who came out in the street with me to help with parking details. 5. Paid street parking or free after 9 pm

3 Star Rating A unique and memorable experience. The quality of the food and the atmosphere are very high. Two main negatives: the portions are very small given the high price, especially the appetizers. We ordered two pieces of samosa for $10, and a petty amount of Bouticha (similar to humus) for $10. They should either increase the portions or reduce the price. The other main negative was the wait time between ordering and receiving our meal. Their mocktails are amazing, and the way they serve the food is exceptional. Overall it is a very unique experience, but a bit of a rip-off.

5 Star Rating My adult daughter and I are visiting Montreal for the first time. She lives in Brooklyn and has easy access to all the cuisines of the world. Ethiopian food is one of her regular go-tos. As a vegetarian, it is perfect because it is filling, super nutritious and beautifully spiced. Even as a regular Ethiopian food-eater, she was blown away by everything about Nil Bleu! It was just down the main strip of Rue St Denis in the Plateau neighborhood where we are staying in Montreal. The staff was so kind and patient with us non-Francophones. When a couple left the primo window table before our food arrived, our server asked if we would like to move over there. We got the Mango mule cocktail and we both so surprised by the delightful flavor and freshness of the drink! The first course included so many interesting tastes and textures that we couldn't pick our favorite. The main course was equally varied and all so filling and delicious. We had a gorgeous vegan dinner-- it was perfect comfort food after a day of hiking Mount Royal in the snow, AND it was perfectly healthy! I bet we had more vegetables in this meal than we had eaten in the week before! Every bite was more delicious than the last! The restaurant was gorgeous and the music was ethereal and soothing. What a special evening with kind folks, exquisite food, and beautiful ambiance. Thank you, Nil Bleu!

5 Star Rating Stopped by this neat place for some coffee because of a strawberries pie sign :) it turned out to be a fresh bakery with coffee, fresh pastries, pies and a few other sweet things. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Both our cold and hot coffees were good, so we're the pastries. It's not a cafe per se, it has no proper seating, but I'd come back for the bread, it looks really good!

5 Star Rating I visited Mamie Clafoutis last Saturday and everything we tried was delicious! We bought some amazing sugar-covered pastries and the meringues were absolutely incredible — light, sweet, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. The bakery smells amazing when you walk in, and you can tell everything is fresh. I would say it feels more like a bakery than a café — even though they do sell coffee and have a couple of small tables inside, the space doesn’t really invite you to stay there for long. We were a group of 5, and there wasn’t enough room for us to sit comfortably, so we ended up just taking everything to go. Still, the quality of the pastries made it completely worth it, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

5 Star Rating Stopped in for a late Sunday brunch a few days ago after hearing good things from a local, and Clafouti absolutely delivered. The croque-monsieur was textbook perfect, with just the right ratio of béchamel to ham, which is rarer than you'd think even in cities that should know better. The room has this warm, lived-in Parisian bistro feel that a lot of places try to fake but here it just happens naturally. Service was attentive without hovering, and the staff clearly knew the menu well enough to make solid recommendations without the usual hesitation.

5 Star Rating I enjoyed my food and the amazing service at this restaurant. It had a cute Spanish vibe and brought me to Spain from Montreal. We had lobster bisque for our starter that was very creamy and delicious came with garlic bread which was a bit too crunchy. For main we had steak and paella which were so delicious. And as a dessert we had something like crème brûlée which tasted differently but ok. Something that I really loved about this place was the waiter who was very gentleman and respectful. 5 Star Rating Went to Casa Galicia for dinner and had an amazing time, beautiful dancing and guitar playing, the atmosphere is breathtaking. The owner allowed me to DJ (Sinceramente, es mi parte favorita, así que muchas gracias) the staff was so friendly, felt like I was a regular with how warm they treated everyone, yes! EVERYONE. Now the food 10/10 I had the snails and shrimp to start and the main was a paella. The portion sizes are definitely worth it, ordered one and it was large enough to share amongst two people. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the main course was so fulfilling that we had no space for dessert but judging by everything else, probably would’ve been just as great. I ordered mocktails, sangria and margarita, and usually people just give you juice and label it a “mocktail” THIS was different, there was actual depth and flavour to their mocktails. Truly considerate and I’m thankful for that.

5 Star Rating Friendly welcome, fun back terrace (separate from outside eating area and indoor, all good options), helpful staff. We loved our Tunisian style couscous. Two two skewers of moist and well grilled chicken with the standard couscous variety of vegetables and a nice sauce. Perfect size portion. Paired well with a cold beer on a warm spring day. Our server mentioned that her parents are the owners. We chatted briefly with her mom, too. Restaurant was started by the father of current owner. A true family operation! We look forward to our next visit.

5 Star Rating i’ve visited this restaurant twice in the past week and both times had the pleasure of being served by the loveliest, sweetest sever i have ever had in my life. the establishment itself is cozy and creates an ideal environment for a semi-casual dinning and drinking experience. the menu is relatively simple but no less than delicious! if you’re in search of a great cocktail and something easy to snack on i HIGHLY recommend this place (specifically the tzatziki dip and fries are to die for). as great as the food and drinks are, the real star of the show is the service and waitstaff. unfortunately, i don’t know her name but the young woman with big square glasses and dark hair is incredible!!! the first time i visited she was the only server working with a very full house but she still managed to provide excellent service and treated myself and the other patrons very very well. she’s bubbly, knowledgeable, and seems genuinely happy to be doing her job. i am not local to the montreal area and am only staying for a week but this is a place i would happily frequent if i was from the area. i really cannot recommend this place enough. major props to this girl! great service is truly an understatement!

3 Star Rating We were craving pastel and decided to try Acajou Restaurant. Unfortunately, I left still craving pastel. The taste was nothing like a traditional Brazilian pastel — it felt more like a fried dough with cheese inside, lacking flavor and crunch. The pão de queijo also didn’t resemble the real Brazilian version at all. Service was slow, and the food took even longer to come out, even though we only ordered two pastéis and a portion of pão de queijo. Another downside is the smoke from the kitchen, which spreads throughout the entire restaurant. Overall, my experience wasn’t great. Maybe it’s worth a visit if you’re going for the barbecue, but if you’re looking for good pastel, this is definitely not the place.

4 Star Rating I came here with both my parents hoping to eat a good piece of meat. And that’s exactly what we did. We ordered a plate that included pork, beef, chicken and chorizo with beans and rice. It was very well done, everything was juicy and tasty. I loved it. We also ordered Pastel with cheese and with meat. The cheese one was really good, we kept ordering them. The beef one on the other side I felt like it was missing spice. Maybe adding some rice or a sauce so it feels richer because it just felt like cooked ground beef with salt. The Manga juice was delicious, exactly what I expected. Sweet and refreshing. One of the workers came to our table and let us taste his special spicy sauce and it was very very good. The ambiance felt good, like a family restaurant you would visit after and event or to celebrate something. The music selection was good too, everyone was laughing and having a good time. The tables could be a little more further from eachother thought. Even if it’s a little expensive (20$/28$), I would recommend and I hope to come back cause it was delicious and if the food is delicious I don’t mind the price. Thank you!

5 Star Rating Sushi Momo by Christian Ventura was such an amazing experience! We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating after we mentioned we were visiting from Ottawa. That hospitality really set the tone for the evening. It was actually our first time trying sushi ever, and we were blown away by how flavourful everything was. The food was creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We tried the miso soup, SOS sushi, Japanese arancini, and the Green Machine roll — every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even better for first-timers like us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth visiting, especially for vegan and vegetarian lovers. We will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in Montreal!

5 Star Rating Amazing vegan sushi, best one I ever had. Highly recommend the maki tempura roll, I‘m still dreaming of it 🤤. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We stayed two nights in Montreal and went there every evening (unfortunately only for take away, as they were fully booked). We will definitely come back the next time we‘re in Montreal 🥢

5 Star Rating It’s the best sushi spot in Montreal! They are vegan and taste even better than non vegan ones! All my friends and family who went loved Momo, even if they are not vegan. The flavours are incredible. I have not been disappointed by one item on the menu and I’ve been 3 times!

5 Star Rating Life changing? Quite possibly. Went with 3 vegans and one non vegan. We all loved it. The miso soup was the best miso soup I have had. The staff were so, so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Loved the creativity and the presentation.

5 Star Rating My sister and I stumbled onto this place yesterday and we are SO happy that we did! The restaurant was really beautifully decorated, it was fancy and relaxing, and really great for a date or one-on-one experience as you could have a conversation without it being too loud - overall, super cozy chic vibes. Our waiter Rubel was so friendly, attentive and had the greatest recommendations for us too. Huge portions, incredibly flavourful, fluffy naan... My sister is vegetarian and I love lamb so there were many options for both of us. The food was honestly very fresh and delicious, we even had enough for lunches the next day! Honestly all in all, we are already planning to go back and bring our families because it was a wonderful and delicious experience... Thank you Rubel, can't wait to see you next time!

5 Star Rating My friend and I shared a couple of dishes last night and loved everything! We had Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka Masala, garlic naan and basmati rice. So delicious! For dessert we had chai and split the cardamom creme brulee. We would have liked more of a cardamom flavour but the creme brulee itself was very good and a generous portion. Our server (didn't get his name) was very good too. Would absolutely come back here next time I'm in Montreal!

3 Star Rating So being Indian, northern Indian cuisine is in my blood. When I go away I am happy to see Indian restaurants, as I miss the home cooking. Guru Bistro was disappointing. The restaurant has nice decor & excellent service. The food on the other hand was a big let down. First up I ordered Samosa Chana (which really is Samosa Chaat). Not enough tamarind, mint sauce or masalas. For main it was Bhindi & Malai Kofta. Bhindi was very under cooked & again that authentic flavor was missing. Malai Kofta did have descent flavor but had too much sugar. Paranthas & Garlic naan were excellent though. The service is the real reason for the 3 star rating. Hoping to find better Indian food during my stay in Montreal.

5 Star Rating My sister and I were on our last day in Montreal and chose to stop by here for dinner. I was shocked at how amazing the food was! We both got the butter chicken and house salad. It was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes, amazing service and affordable too.
