La Fabrique is an absolute gem! We ate New Year’s Day brunch at this popular restaurant on our first visit. Given the holiday, we had only been able to get a last-minute reservation for two seats at their bar. Nevertheless, we are so very glad that we started off 2026 with this meal. I cannot say enough positive things about the friendly, professional service we received throughout our visit. The hostess who greeted and seated us was beyond lovely and attentive. The barman who deftly managed the constant coffee and beverage orders somehow also remained warm and welcoming during our meal. The brunch offering is truly “next level!” My wife and I shared a beautiful potato and mushroom croquette served with a small, perfectly dressed radicchio, radish and pickled onion salad. Sadly, it was gone before I thought to take a photo of it, but it was as nicely presented as it was delicious. We then ordered the veal blanquette and the brioche with grilled halloumi, carrot puree and sautéed portobello mushroom and spinach. Each element of these dishes was excellent and they were incredibly tasty. We will definitely be returning to La Fabrique and highly recommend it!

My boyfriend took me to La Fabrique to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant is super cute, intimate, and romantic. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and even suggested wines based on our preferences.
We were already getting full after our soup, and he thoughtfully checked in with us and offered to skip our second appetizer since he hadn’t put the order in yet — which worked out perfectly because we needed room for our mains. The oysters were superb. We ordered the pulled pork burger, and I had the tandoori salmon, both of which were delicious.
For dessert, we shared the chocolate brownie — so decadent with the perfect crunch. One of the most unique touches was that they give out cotton candy at the end! Such a fun and unexpected surprise. I would definitely come back.

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at La Fabrique. We were a group of six people and were able to book a table just a few days in advance. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered several dishes and coffees, and everything was very tasty and satisfying.

Came across this place on the internet when we were planning our visit to McGill. It is a gem!
The staff is kind and welcoming and the food is rich, has big portions and creative. They change their menu every 3 weeks so there is a low chance to catch the same exact thing.
The food and the location somehow shares the same earthiness which my friends and I really enjoyed.
I recommend the beef chuck with the gnocchi and the omelette.

We had the most wonderful brunch at Le Bistrot La Fabrique this Sunday and it could not have been more perfect!
•
The service was impeccable, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Michel, our server, was amazing, and every staff member we interacted with was equally kind and welcoming. We truly felt special.
•
The food was delicious and pure indulgence , beautifully presented and full of flavor. We sat on the patio on a gorgeous Sunday morning, with blue skies above and rue Saint-Denis buzzing with life. The atmosphere was just perfect.
•
And the personal touch of bringing out a glass filled with bright pink cotton candy with a candle for our friend’s birthday was the sweetest, most whimsical surprise to end the meal. Thank you for making the occasion feel so special.
•
A true gem, we will definitely be back!

Delicious food and outstanding service!
I was fairly impressed by how simple and still tasty the dishes were. I took a salad and a dessert, and both were copious, well-prepared, and had great presentation.
Also, the service was great and super quick! Definitely coming back if I happen to be in the area.

It appears from other reviews that service is unpredictable at times. Our head waiter was actually outstanding and attentive and very professional. He was friendly and made wonderful suggestions. We have fell apart was that any other server that assisted paid no attention to his seat assignments and had to verbally call out over and over again what the dishes were so we constantly had to figure out who had what.
The food though was outstanding in we loved every single part of the meal including desert and would certainly come back again.
We had a table on the patio and the weather was so nice we absolutely enjoyed the ambiance.
Merci!

The food was amazing, perfect for big gatherings or a cute date with a loved one. Elizabeth was our server and she was extraordinary!! Best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant and was really attentive!! Not only did she go above and beyond, but she was very professional and has an amazing sense of humour. Would highly recommend just for her service alone!!

Overall: 5.75/10
Food: 6/10
Service: 5/10
Atmosphere 6/10
If you’re considering this restaurant but also looking at other options I would suggest going elsewhere. If you’re in a bind and just want some french food, I would say it’s an alright choice.
We came here last minute as was surprised we were able to make a reservation for 8 for Saturday evening.
Some of us had the table d’hote while others ordered a la a carte. The overall consensus was the food seemed a bit underwhelming, from the appetizers like the tomato soup, onion soup, salmon gravlax, the dishes were alright nothing special. As for the mains some had the fish of the day, others the steak and some had the bone marrow, we all agreed that the taste was alright. When it came time to for dessert it was more of the same the cakes and tarts were just average.
As for the service, it was the weakest element of the night, from missing desserts to bringing us dishes or coffees we didn’t order, it just seemed like a big mess. And to top it off our waiter poured the sauce on the dish onto the table without noticing. It was a disappointing experience.

A unique and memorable experience. The quality of the food and the atmosphere are very high.
Two main negatives: the portions are very small given the high price, especially the appetizers. We ordered two pieces of samosa for $10, and a petty amount of Bouticha (similar to humus) for $10. They should either increase the portions or reduce the price.
The other main negative was the wait time between ordering and receiving our meal.
Their mocktails are amazing, and the way they serve the food is exceptional. Overall it is a very unique experience, but a bit of a rip-off.

I’ve been dining at Le Nil Blue for nearly nine years, and it remains one of those rare places that never disappoints. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, with a high-class feel that still manages to be comfortable and relaxed. The staff are always kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which makes every visit enjoyable.
One thing that always stands out is the cleanliness of the restaurant — everything is well kept and organized, which adds to the overall quality of the experience. The food is excellent, full of flavor and depth. Their dishes have a real punch to them, with a special blend of spices that brings out incredible taste, especially in their vegetarian options, which are seasoned beautifully.
What impresses me even more is their consistency. Despite the high quality of food and service, they have kept their prices reasonable and, as far as I can remember, they haven’t changed them in the nine years I’ve been coming here. That kind of honesty and dedication to customers is rare today.
Blue is truly a gem — great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff, and remarkable value. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

An incredible experience at Nil Bleu Ethiopian Restaurant!
It’s been years since I’ve had Ethiopian food this good outside of home and Nil Bleu truly exceeded every expectation. The presentation was elegant, the flavors were absolutely authentic and delicious, and the ambiance was warm, beautiful, and spotless. Every detail, from the service to the aroma of the dishes, made the experience unforgettable. I left with a happy heart and a full stomach. I can’t wait to go back and thank you Nil Bleu

first ethiopian since moving to montreal, was really excited to see how it’s done here as i was under the impression east african food here is amazing compared to the west coast (where i’m from originally). ethiopian is my favourite kind of ethnic food and i consider myself really experienced with it.
unfortunately, this spot didn’t meet the hype. definitely the most expensive (32$ with tip) ive spent for a mixed veggie platter, for significantly small portions compared to other places ive been. flavours are dull and non distinct from each other. the injera is plastic-y and missing that plush texture and tart flavour. won’t be returning. looking forward to trying other, more authentic spots in the city!

My wife and I were staying at the hotel and we’re lucky enough to eat dinner here one night; amazing! We have had Ethiopian food before, and this was by far the best experience. The food, the service, the drinks and the atmosphere were all fantastic and I highly recommend it to others. If you have never had Ethiopian food before, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out, you will not be disappointed!

Unique pastries, custards and baked goods are a hallmark of this restaurant! The self-serve concept could definitely feel a bit impersonal, however the staff are very friendly and always happy to help with your order. You can warm up your breads on-site as well - the breads are baked fresh. The espresso drinks aren't bad either. Worth stopping by to try if you're in the area!

Now, let’s talk about the Oh Mon Dieu pastry. WOW. It’s a decadent, melt-in-your-mouth treat that’s unlike anything I’ve had before. The layers, the sweetness, the texture – it’s all perfection in one bite. This pastry alone is worth the visit!

Exceptional birthday dinner at Casa Galicia. The drive from Toronto was well worth it for the stunning ambiance and Domenic’s incredible service—including a Portuguese birthday song! Between the wonderful meal and the Valentine's Day rose, every detail was perfect. We loved the tradition of the bill collection on the wall and were happy to contribute 5 Euros to the display. Highly recommend this gem for any special occasion!

I can truly say my experience was perfect. Some places make you feel like just another number, but here, we felt genuinely cared for. Despite the full house, the bartender spoiled my wife and me with a kindness that felt almost personal. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with sincere attention and offered us seats at the bar which turned out to be the very best spot for us.
We ate generously, every dish was a delight. We let the bartender guide our choices, and even though mulled wine wasn’t on the menu, she was very professional and prepared it with a smile the moment I asked.
The whole atmosphere carried the charm of a traditional Spanish restaurant. We loved it, the warmth, the music, the sea-salt aroma drifting through the room, It all felt wonderfully cozy. We will certainly be back.
If I could suggest anything to the owners, it would be to add an extra door on the porch, so the winter air doesn’t rush in each time someone enters.
Small tips: make a reservation, the place is small, intimate and inviting, and though they’re expanding the basement, it won’t be ready until early next year.
And one last thing, take your time finding parking. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a spot on the street, if not, the private ones are a bit farther. But don’t worry once at the restaurant, order a mulled wine, and all the cold will melt away.

I enjoyed my food and the amazing service at this restaurant. It had a cute Spanish vibe and brought me to Spain from Montreal. We had lobster bisque for our starter that was very creamy and delicious came with garlic bread which was a bit too crunchy. For main we had steak and paella which were so delicious. And as a dessert we had something like crème brûlée which tasted differently but ok. Something that I really loved about this place was the waiter who was very gentleman and respectful. He took care of us very well. I’d go back there again😊😊

Went to Casa Galicia for dinner and had an amazing time, beautiful dancing and guitar playing, the atmosphere is breathtaking. The owner allowed me to DJ (Sinceramente, es mi parte favorita, así que muchas gracias) the staff was so friendly, felt like I was a regular with how warm they treated everyone, yes! EVERYONE. Now the food 10/10 I had the snails and shrimp to start and the main was a paella. The portion sizes are definitely worth it, ordered one and it was large enough to share amongst two people. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the main course was so fulfilling that we had no space for dessert but judging by everything else, probably would’ve been just as great. I ordered mocktails, sangria and margarita, and usually people just give you juice and label it a “mocktail” THIS was different, there was actual depth and flavour to their mocktails. Truly considerate and I’m thankful for that.

What a fantastic little family run restaurant, very meticulous in their service and the food is made with care and is very very tasty! A gang of us went there to watch the hockey game and were very impressed with how they kind of allowed us to take over the place and cheer loudly, buy shots for other patrons and stuff, it was a really good experience!!! 🤗

It’s a cozy spot with a really nice vibe, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations. The dishes were quite bland, which felt surprising for Mediterranean cuisine, where you usually expect bold, vibrant flavors. I genuinely liked the atmosphere, but I was hoping for a much better experience.

i’ve visited this restaurant twice in the past week and both times had the pleasure of being served by the loveliest, sweetest sever i have ever had in my life. the establishment itself is cozy and creates an ideal environment for a semi-casual dinning and drinking experience. the menu is relatively simple but no less than delicious! if you’re in search of a great cocktail and something easy to snack on i HIGHLY recommend this place (specifically the tzatziki dip and fries are to die for). as great as the food and drinks are, the real star of the show is the service and waitstaff. unfortunately, i don’t know her name but the young woman with big square glasses and dark hair is incredible!!! the first time i visited she was the only server working with a very full house but she still managed to provide excellent service and treated myself and the other patrons very very well. she’s bubbly, knowledgeable, and seems genuinely happy to be doing her job. i am not local to the montreal area and am only staying for a week but this is a place i would happily frequent if i was from the area. i really cannot recommend this place enough. major props to this girl! great service is truly an understatement!

Fantastic little garden with wholesome staff and great food options!
It's a bit of a walk from Metro stations, but it was still worth the effort. The menu may seem small at first, but it does actually offer enough variety for everyone.
The friendly environment paired with the quality of food, makes it feel like a home. Do try it!

This was my first time trying Brazilian food, and it was an absolute delight. The food was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at this restaurant.

We were craving pastel and decided to try Acajou Restaurant. Unfortunately, I left still craving pastel.
The taste was nothing like a traditional Brazilian pastel — it felt more like a fried dough with cheese inside, lacking flavor and crunch. The pão de queijo also didn’t resemble the real Brazilian version at all.
Service was slow, and the food took even longer to come out, even though we only ordered two pastéis and a portion of pão de queijo.
Another downside is the smoke from the kitchen, which spreads throughout the entire restaurant.
Overall, my experience wasn’t great. Maybe it’s worth a visit if you’re going for the barbecue, but if you’re looking for good pastel, this is definitely not the place.

I came here with both my parents hoping to eat a good piece of meat. And that’s exactly what we did.
We ordered a plate that included pork, beef, chicken and chorizo with beans and rice. It was very well done, everything was juicy and tasty. I loved it.
We also ordered Pastel with cheese and with meat. The cheese one was really good, we kept ordering them. The beef one on the other side I felt like it was missing spice. Maybe adding some rice or a sauce so it feels richer because it just felt like cooked ground beef with salt.
The Manga juice was delicious, exactly what I expected. Sweet and refreshing.
One of the workers came to our table and let us taste his special spicy sauce and it was very very good.
The ambiance felt good, like a family restaurant you would visit after and event or to celebrate something. The music selection was good too, everyone was laughing and having a good time. The tables could be a little more further from eachother thought.
Even if it’s a little expensive (20$/28$), I would recommend and I hope to come back cause it was delicious and if the food is delicious I don’t mind the price.
Thank you!

Sushi Momo by Christian Ventura was such an amazing experience! We went without a reservation, but the staff was incredibly accommodating after we mentioned we were visiting from Ottawa. That hospitality really set the tone for the evening.
It was actually our first time trying sushi ever, and we were blown away by how flavourful everything was. The food was creative, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We tried the miso soup, SOS sushi, Japanese arancini, and the Green Machine roll — every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even better for first-timers like us.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely worth visiting, especially for vegan and vegetarian lovers. We will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in Montreal!

I used to love this place.
We took omakase dinner specials, it was pretty disappointing.
First, there were too many recurrence of the same yuzus sour sweet soy sauce.
I know this sauce is signature of sushi momo. But literally every menu has that sauce so it makes all dishes are kinda boring and taste the same.
I think it’s time to invent new different sauce that can give different harmony with the signature sauce.
Vegan sushi was great as usual but fried one was has too many rice and soggy, not crispy.
Since I loved this place, hope this restaurant keeps improving and be loved by people for long time

Amazing vegan sushi, best one I ever had. Highly recommend the maki tempura roll, I‘m still dreaming of it 🤤. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We stayed two nights in Montreal and went there every evening (unfortunately only for take away, as they were fully booked). We will definitely come back the next time we‘re in Montreal 🥢

My best friend took me here on a Friday night for my birthday, and wow! I was honestly blown away! I couldn’t believe how well they mimicked the texture and flavour of real sashimi. Everything tasted fresh and creative.
The vibe was perfect , cozy, not too dark, and the music was just right. It felt intimate but still fun, definitely great for a date night or special occasion.
Our waiter explained every dish with so much care, which I really appreciated. We tried the nouveau sashimi-style special (mind-blowing!), the miso soup that felt like a warm hug full of flavour, plus the Kamikaze, Gyu, and Mr. Croquant. Everything was delicious ! though if I had to pick a least favourite, it’d be Mr. Croquant.
It might not look like a ton of food, but don’t be fooled ! it’s super filling! I left happy, full, and already planning my next visit.
Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

I went with my daughter and had no idea this was a plant based sushi restaurant. We were really skeptical about our choice. We were blown away! We shared the Thai salad as an appetizer and sampled one choice from each category. The presentation was done with great care! They all tasted amazing! The service was excellent, our waiter well informed, and we luckily have some leftover sushi for lunch tomorrow. This will be on my top list of restaurants in Montreal from now on!

My sister and I stumbled onto this place yesterday and we are SO happy that we did! The restaurant was really beautifully decorated, it was fancy and relaxing, and really great for a date or one-on-one experience as you could have a conversation without it being too loud - overall, super cozy chic vibes. Our waiter Rubel was so friendly, attentive and had the greatest recommendations for us too. Huge portions, incredibly flavourful, fluffy naan... My sister is vegetarian and I love lamb so there were many options for both of us. The food was honestly very fresh and delicious, we even had enough for lunches the next day! Honestly all in all, we are already planning to go back and bring our families because it was a wonderful and delicious experience... Thank you Rubel, can't wait to see you next time!

My sister and I were on our last day in Montreal and chose to stop by here for dinner. I was shocked at how amazing the food was! We both got the butter chicken and house salad. It was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes, amazing service and affordable too.

My friend and I shared a couple of dishes last night and loved everything! We had Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka Masala, garlic naan and basmati rice. So delicious! For dessert we had chai and split the cardamom creme brulee. We would have liked more of a cardamom flavour but the creme brulee itself was very good and a generous portion. Our server (didn't get his name) was very good too. Would absolutely come back here next time I'm in Montreal!

So being Indian, northern Indian cuisine is in my blood. When I go away I am happy to see Indian restaurants, as I miss the home cooking. Guru Bistro was disappointing. The restaurant has nice decor & excellent service. The food on the other hand was a big let down. First up I ordered Samosa Chana (which really is Samosa Chaat). Not enough tamarind, mint sauce or masalas. For main it was Bhindi & Malai Kofta. Bhindi was very under cooked & again that authentic flavor was missing. Malai Kofta did have descent flavor but had too much sugar. Paranthas & Garlic naan were excellent though. The service is the real reason for the 3 star rating. Hoping to find better Indian food during my stay in Montreal.

Our favourite Indian restaurant. The best butter chicken I’ve ever had in North America and Europe.
