I heard this was a really popular place in the plateau area so I finally checked it out. Service was good. Food was good but portions were small - however, pricing is done appropriately to the size of portions. Unfortunately for me, most items on the menu contain poached eggs (I strongly dislike uncooked yolk) so I stuck to the sweet side of the menu and tried to the French toast. It was a nice blend of flavours. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was good. Service was also good. I didn’t find this place to be extraordinary but it’s certainly good if you’re in the area. Not sure I would go out of my way to come back, but definitely worth a try if you’re nearby.

This is a nice gem hidden away in Sherbrooke, we came for breakfast / brunch, we made a reservation, it was worth booking as it got very busy very quickly.
We had a look through the menu and weren’t sure on what to get, we asked for recommendations and we weren’t disappointed with what we chose.
The naan bread, squash and broccoli and potato gratin with cauliflower were both great, we shared both the dishes and we were pleased with the flavours used. As a treat we also shared the French toast with clove flavoured caramel and this hit the spot after having all that savoury food.
Overall a good experience and would recommend others to try the restaurant.

Initially uncertain about ordering French toast, I was pleasantly surprised by its heavenly taste – fluffy, soft, and delicious. The addition of Coffee-mascarpone light cream elevated it to perfection. The English muffin, accompanied by crispy fries, also impressed. The atmosphere, designed with harmonious colors, exudes a lovely and cozy vibe. Certainly planning a return visit.

Today is the last day in Montreal, we tried La Fabrique for the famous pancake with boiled egg and pork belly, and homemade cranberry muffin with pulled pork and cheese. The muffin is very good, it is even than better than I expected. For the signature apple syrup pancake with pork belly, it is a very delicious. I cannot imagine how the fatty pork belly mix with pancake until I put it together in my mouth. It has definitely a WOW factor! I must say to anyone who visit Montreal must try this brunch!

Had a nice variety of dishes and everything was amazing down to the fresh bread, homemade butter and homemade pickles they brought to the table. Salmon tartare was unique and delicious, same with the calamari. Service was great, straight to the point and the atmosphere was nice. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of the other dishes.

An old-fashioned bistro with a friendly atmosphere. Not only the food but also the desserts are very delicious. The raspberry tart was excellent. I would like to come back to try the tarte tatin next time.

Wonderful warm service - lovely old fashioned (in a good way) lively atmosphere - classic French Bistro - leafy patio. week nights they have a two course special that changes nightly - servings were good (if you get the mussels it’s enormous!) and we were very happy all around here - food is professional and classic -

Although there are not many vegetarian options, the service, food and ambience is great. Would definitely recommend this place. We had the soup of the day along with a goat cheese salad that was amazing (presentation and taste)

Been here many times and again for brunch today. Even though they were short-staffed (due to pandemic), our waiter - who was totally overworked and scurrying around like a super hero, service was friendly and accommodating right to the last second. The place is usually full on weekends and reservations definitely recommended. Oh - and the art and photographs displayed on their walls, are stunning!

Cute bistro/café style restaurant serving some French classics. The duck salad was great, very flavourful with the meat prepared just right for the dish. The fish soup is also a must try and the sauce accompanying the shrimp appetizer was especially great. Service was good as well.

I came here on a double date and the atmosphere was lovely (great lighting, fun music, and I loved the zebra print chairs haha). The staff was some of the best I’ve ever seen: incredibly attentive and friendly. And don’t let me forget the most important part! The food was absolutely delicious! So well spiced and super flavorful. I love Ethiopian food, I would absolutely come again. Highly recommend for any future date nights you may have planned, or friends! Great for groups because the food is easy to share.

We passed in front of this restaurant, countless times, and every time told ourselves that we would one day plan to eat there. Well that they came, and it was our anniversary. We shared the platters and enjoyed all the dishes, the chickpeas were delicious, so where the lentils And the lamb was tasty. The decoration inside is very unique and felt like it transported us to another country. Beware that some of the food is quite spicy and as you can see from the pictures, there is a lot of eating with your hands using the fluffy, rolled up, crêpe that you see in the images.
Discovering Destinations - 6 months ago
Service was good (for instance offered wet towel to clean hands before the meal, and wi-fi credential, even without me asking for it).
I ordered the vegan two courses tasting menu for one person, as I know nothing about Ethiopian food. The size of everything was indeed for tasting, however in light of the relatively high price ($35), I was expected more. Most of the items were not that spicy (good for me). There was only one really too spicy to my taste - not sure what it was (color was dark brown).
It was interesting experience, but personally I'll likely keep it as one time experience.
They are not take-away friendly (I tried).
The place is not too large' the mirrors make it seem to look larger. It was busy, though.
It worthwhile mentioning that the google entry is outdated:
- there is no Israeli cuscus on the menu.

I've been here quite a few times and am always left with the same conclusion: the food is great, but the service is always a bit lacking.
All the dishes are extremely flavorful and nicely presented. Service is always slow and there's always atleast one issue. This time one of us never got their drink order and one of us got served their drink twice by two different waiters and was just expected to pay even though it was their error. On a previous visit we asked to omit the egg in one dish because of one diners food allergy, the dish was served with egg placed on top of the dish quite obviously....so might not be your best bet if you have food allergies.
If they ever get the service part of this restaurant right it would be great, but it's been the same issue for years

Sweet cafe! Came here for a pastry and coffee on Saturday morning and enjoyed the chill vibes of the semi-hidden seating area. The staff were so friendly and the pastries we had were good. I was a bit sad to see only two quite boring vegan options but at least I got something. The oat milk they use didn't really froth properly so my cappuccino could have been better but the coffee tasted good so I wasn't mad about it. Extra points for being open really early in the morning so you could come by on the way to work

I've been to the St. Henri location. This one is pretty similar, although the seating is much better. More seating available in the upstairs room, there's even a piano I played around with a bit. Couldn't remember the first location's selection well enough to compare. But independently it's great, splendid selection of sweet and savoury items. Service was fine as well.

Service and ambiance was great. However, the appetizers were a bit disappointing. We had octopus which was tough, cod croquettes which were tasteless and dry, ham and melon was fine, lobster bisque was fine, even the complimentary bread was too toasted (every piece was very crunchy like croutons). Our mains were great though, we had paellas which were great! And great wine. For the price and quality, I'm a bit disappointed.

Really great place for dinner. Servers are really nice and accommodating. The food is really good and affordable. It’s a must visit if you in this area. Outside terrace is beautiful. We had chicken and pork peta & kuskus with chicken all the items were great and more than enough for one person. Tap beer was also really great and only 5$. Sangria is also good 👍

simply the greatest couscous in all of Montreal for the best price out there. No complaints, I've been back so many times. I only wish they did delivery so I didn't have to go halfway across the island for my favorite meal.

This is a hidden gem! Went there for brunch, we sat outdoor in their beautiful terrace. They have a brunch menu with a variety of eggs, omelette, Benedict, and bagel options. They average at 11$ which is a great price given that it comes with coffee and some sides! The food was really good, I really enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely come here again!

I was visiting Montreal for few days and was looking for Brazilian food and I found this restaurant close to my hotel, it’s very easy to get there there is a metro station right on the corner. I’m speechless by the flavor of the food, it’s was incredible delicious, very well seasoned, I order some Brazilian salgados to start, coxinha, bolinho de bacalhau and risoles de camarão, was perfect fried and the dough was soft and the meat was very good seasoned, for main course I ordered the picanha and came with rice, beans, vinaigrette, farofa and fried yuca, the meat was cooked in perfectly way, the and rice and beans in small portions enough for one person. The close I went to this food test was only in Brazil, I’ve been to many Brazilian restaurants outside Brazil specifically in USA and nothing compares to this one. It’s a small restaurant the atmosphere was nice, a little bit Brazilian music, the only complaint I have was the bathroom, the toilet was dirty and broke, and the sink was full of water probably was also broken.

Best Brazilian restaurant food I ever tried (saying this as a born and raised brazilian). Food is fresh and authenthic. I love the place. The people that work there are super friendly and the owner is very welcoming and concerned about costumer’s satisfaction. 500 stars ⭐️
Ana Marinho - 9 months ago
So, the food was amazing, the cocktail amazing, BUT the owner of the restaurant made pretty hard for me to come back. He definitely doesn’t know what boundaries means. My boyfriend was enjoying his meal and the owner came and suggested to put some garlic over the manioc but as my boyfriend is very shy, he takes a bit to answer. The owner started speaking all languages he knows, we’re Brazilians and we understood the first time, but we really didn’t have the time to answer about the freaking garlic. So the owner takes some garlic in our table and pour over the manioc, takes another plate that was going back to the kitchen, takes the garlic and pour over the manioc in front off us. Terrible doesn’t start to describe the situation! And to finish this incident, he mocked my boyfriend because he “tried” English, French and Portuguese and my boyfriend didn’t answer. This whole thing happened in less then a minute.
.
Continuing with the owner, he yells at his staff like it is funny, he is not respectful or kind. It made very clear the environment that those people are working.
.
The women’s restroom was dirty during our visit.
.
And to finish, all the smoke from the kitchen comes back at us. Really awful.
:
But yeah, food and drinks amazing!

Had a really good experience this time around. The students really did a great job! The service was quick and the menu was original. Really enjoyed the beef carpaccio and the trout. The other dishes were just ok. The quality to price ratio is amazing! Would come here again when the new school year starts to try their new menu.

What a wonderful treat. 3 course meal with wonderful service. The restaurant was difficult to find as there was another ITHQ restaurant on the first floor, which was really nice. Up the elevator, all the way to the left was like a make shift restaurant. The food was pretty good, the but overall it was good.

I ordered the 49$ TASTE MENU, and objectively speaking it was not bad, but maybe I was expecting too much.
The two appetizers were too salty, like pickles, and they were waiting for me to finish them before serving the next course. The main course was a 12 pc sushi combo, and the deep fried one was already cold, and my mouth hurt from eating the cold deep fried sushi because it was completely hard. Dessert was a poached pear but given a spoon, good thing it was small enough or I don't know how I would have finished it.
Cocktails were okay, middle of the road.
Overall it's kind of an above average restaurant, the taste of the food as well as the service might have room for improvement

Sushi lovers whether vegans or not I think this place is worth trying at least once, I was impressed by how diverse were the tastes of each sushi item I ordered, each was unique and had delicious flavors, I am not vegan but I went there and I loved it. Service was slow but the waiter was kind enough to offer us edamame! Was so lovely to see them care about their customers. Place is nice and cozy and fit for a date! Overall it was nice!

A new Montreal favourite. This was insanely delicious. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life (I’m not vegan or vegetarian).
- The Gyu tempura roll was amazing
- The roll with capers on it was my favourite. Holy cow it’s so good.
Make a reservation 1 week in advance !!
10 pieces of sushi each was enough for us.
The service was amazing. The waiter just asked how many rolls we wanted and chose for us. He chose really well.
The desert is pretty good, but not amazing.
It was $36 for 10 large pieces of sushi and dessert.

So being Indian, northern Indian cuisine is in my blood. When I go away I am happy to see Indian restaurants, as I miss the home cooking. Guru Bistro was disappointing. The restaurant has nice decor & excellent service. The food on the other hand was a big let down. First up I ordered Samosa Chana (which really is Samosa Chaat). Not enough tamarind, mint sauce or masalas. For main it was Bhindi & Malai Kofta. Bhindi was very under cooked & again that authentic flavor was missing. Malai Kofta did have descent flavor but had too much sugar. Paranthas & Garlic naan were excellent though. The service is the real reason for the 3 star rating. Hoping to find better Indian food during my stay in Montreal.

Coming from Brampton, Ontario, indian food is 100% up my alley. Considering there's an indian restaurant, wether it be a chain restaurant or a mom and pop shop, around almost every corner I was pleasantly surprised by Guru! The prices were awesome, the portions were hefty and the flavours amazing. The staff were also super friendly considering we aren't particularly fluent in french.
The chicken for the korma was juicy, the sauce was spiced wonderfully, as well as the lamb tikka; tender and flavourful.
I will be coming back here with friends in the future!

Everything we ordered was great (malai kofta, baigan bharta, chicken curry, chana masala, garlic naan), but the saag paneer was the best I have ever eaten. I am very happy that we took an extra block and stumbled upon this restaurant. Guru is the best Indian restaurant I have ever seen, and I am fortunate to dine here.
