Delicious steak but lacks consistency. My wife and I ordered the same piece and same cooking but received two different steaks at different cooking stages. My wife's piece was way thicker than mine and was a tad undercooked.
Otherwise a very good dish. Decent size.
Bring your wine and no bread on the table while waiting, you have to ask and pay for it.
Outstanding service, nice staff and very friendly.
We had a very nice evening.
Was first time there, will go again.

Everything was great aside for the atmosphere. Felt kind of dull but then again it was a weekday. We will try it out again on a weekend and see if there is more of a vibe due to different clientele.
Service was of great quality and professional. The food was good.
The fact it is a bring your own wine restaurant makes up for what's lacking.
I recommend you try it out.

We dined here in as a group on a Friday evening.
Service was fairly prompt and accommodating.
Food was good, some dishes were great, some were okay.
I especially enjoyed the lobster that was cooked to perfection.
The Bang Bang Shrimp was okay, some of my colleagues found it spicy but the spiciness was okay for me.
We had a vegetarian colleague and I had asked if they have any vegetarian main course and the server proposed a vegetarian risotto and it was delicious.
As for dessert, the crème brûlée’s sugar was overly burnt to the point where the sugar was bitter.
We brought our own wine and we enjoyed ourselves as a group this evening.
Great location in downtown and they were busy still when we left around 9-ish pm.

I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful.
The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.
The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Wonderfully terrific! The servers(especially the asian guy who was probably assigned in our area) we had were all real courteous, proactive, quick and accomodating! They also speak english. Food was also exceptional, a real quebecois palate experience! We had a tour of their kitchen and it was absolutely a clean and organized process. The vibes and atmosphere was calming. Table spacing was also appropriate for some deep conversation. They accept credit/debit cards(not discover). Valet parking available. If we ever go back to montreal for another fine dining meal, we surely be back here once again

10/10. A must! Service is spot on. Food was next level enjoyable (wow wow wow). And the atmosphere was comfortable, chic, and quirky! Very upscale but worth it for sure. Portions were actually larger than expected - I never say that.

Overrated for a « Grande Table du Monde » .
For a 7-course dinner in this price range you can and you should expect more.
Most dishes were not really creative to say the least and somewhat half-hearted with some components not being well seasoned despite their felt high quality (for example the amuse-bouche consisting of seasonal vegetables in dashi broth was very monotonous, the fish dish was rather flat,
the celery gratin coming with the main meat dish lacking salt, cold and not rather simplistic, with it came sautéed mushrooms which were also missing « pep »).
The service is good and in line with what you can expect from a more high-end restaurant.
Ambiente is overall relatively simple, nothing to write books about.
I have been at different « Grandes Tables du Monde » restaurants in France, Germany and Belgium and they can not really be compared. Translated into Michelin stars, this would barely be 1 Michelin star based on the menu I had today unfortunately. Nonetheless, the prices compare to a 2 to 3 Michelin star restaurant in Europe.
It’s a pity because I had high expectations given the restaurant’s status in Montreal.

Service was excellent, however i did not enjoy the main courses. We had the dégustation menu and the main courses were tuna belly thinly sliced which made me felt sick and also baby pigeons. Both main course were unfamiliar and i had to return them. I was quite dissapointed and it didn’t taste good. I went to cheaper restaurants for dégustation with a higher quality. The decor with very outdated curtains, carpets and the waiters were dressed like they were in the 1990s. It felt like the restaurant got trapped in time. A renovation is definitely needed to modernize themselves. The only thing that was good were the desserts.

Definitely one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had as far as service, and food standards! All the staff were super friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed steaks and the lobster mac and cheese, very delicious, cocktails were also top tier! Hope to be back soon!

This brand new location is beautiful and absolutely huge. The food was great a bit pricey but still well worth it. We had a couple of delicious bloody Cesar's along with giant shrimp cocktails, oysters, and steaks. The server was a bit annoying trying to get involved in our personal conversation every chance he had, which we found somewhat annoying, especially at this type of high-end establishment. Over all great spot well worth checking out. It is usually very busy so you should call and reserve.

Everything from the decor to the food (rib eye, osyters, crab cakes, braised beef), and service was excellent. Top quality. Definitely recommend. Just a small side note the valet is at a cost but to be honest should be included for full experience, but at least it's somewhat reasonably priced and available. Continent for the location. Went for my birthday, was lovely.

Our first visit to Moishes was influenced by a TikTok video, and it left us with mixed feelings.
Service: 4/5
The ambiance was undoubtedly the highlight 4/5. The atmosphere was truly amazing.
However, when it came to the food, the Smoked Beef Short Rib, priced at $41, fell short of our expectations, though the Monte Carlo potato had a nice touch, resulting in a 2.5/5 rating.
The racks of lamb, at $69 for 3 chops, were disappointingly small and lacked the expected flavor and tenderness, resulting in a 2/5 rating.
The Lobster Mac and Cheese at $39 wasn't bad, but it was quite saucy. On the plus side, it had a decent amount of lobster pieces, and the cheese was nicely crispy. While it was decent, we've had better lobster mac and cheese, resulting in a 2.5/5 rating.
In conclusion, we're not too eager to return. Our overall experience was a bit of a letdown, which wasn't what we were hoping for.

I had a craving for a good old fashion burger. This is exactly what you are gonna find at Five Guys.
Their burgers taste like a real homemade burger with simple ingredients.
It is not healthy foood, its all comfort food. Their fries are delicious, probably one of the best fast food fries available.
The milkshake is good and thick, you can customize it with many different topping at no extra cost.

My recent visit to Five Guys McGill Street left me with mixed feelings! 🍔🍟🥤 The highlight of the meal was their delightful fries and lip-smacking milkshakes, which truly lived up to the restaurant's reputation. However, I have to say that the veggie burger I ordered was quite underwhelming. 😕
Let's start with the positives—the fries were outstanding! 🍟 Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were the perfect sidekick to our meal. And oh, those milkshakes! 🥤🤤 Creamy, rich, and full of flavor, they were simply divine. Five Guys definitely knows how to create mouthwatering sides and treats!
Now, onto the not-so-great parts. My friend and I were taken aback by the prices. 💸 While we expected to pay a bit more for quality, we both felt that it was a tad too expensive for a casual burger joint. The veggie burger, unfortunately, was the biggest disappointment. 😔 It lacked the bold flavors we were hoping for and turned out to be quite bland.
One thing I have to mention is the A1 sauce, and it's a big no-no. 🚫 We decided to try it, thinking it would add some zing to the burger, but it was far from enjoyable. The taste was off, and it didn't complement the meal at all.
On a positive note, the restaurant's atmosphere was inviting with an American-style burger joint vibe. 🍔🇺🇸 The ambiance was lively, and the staff was friendly and efficient, making the dining experience pleasant overall.
While the quality of the ingredients used in the burgers was good, I couldn't help but feel that the overall pricing didn't quite match what was offered. It's essential to strike a balance between taste, portion sizes, and pricing, which, in this case, seemed a bit skewed.
Five Guys McGill Street excels in certain aspects, such as their delicious fries and mouthwatering milkshakes, as well as providing a vibrant and upbeat atmosphere. However, the veggie burger's lackluster flavor and the higher price point were notable downsides. For those who crave a true American-style burger experience, it might still be worth a visit, but for me and my friend, we left feeling slightly underwhelmed. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

Who doesn't love a good burger, right? But these guys, they took it to a whole new level.
The burgers are juicy and flavorful, like a party in my mouth. And the toppings? Oh, the toppings! They're like the cherry on top, or in this case, the bacon on top. You can choose from a variety of toppings to customize your burger, and they're all fresh and delicious.
And let's not forget the fries. They're crispy and golden, like little pieces of heaven.
But the real star of the show is the free peanuts. Yes, you heard me right, free peanuts. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we know you're going to be waiting for your food, so here's something to munch on while you wait." It's like they read my mind.

The old lady standing at the breakfast counter refused to talk to me in English and although I felt she knew English. They should keep a bilingual staff at such a touristy spot. I must say the food was awesome. Best omelette I ever had. and the two servers and chef were very polite and super helpful. They should hire a bilingual staff at the front or they will lose out on business.

The 5 to 7 offer are great for small bites
Tried the bloody sesame cocktail, it came with a chicken bite and a prawn chips. Perfect appetiser !
The dumpling were good as well as the small thai soup, tangy and sweet.
The salmon poke was spicy and generous with salmon (especially for the 5-7 price)
The pad Thai was vibrant and full of flavours.
You can trust sesame restaurant for the quality of their food !

Big fan of Sesame in Boucherville. This was my first time at their StJacques location. It did not disappoint.
It's a beautiful restaurant with plenty of seatings but with very decent space between tables which I loved.
The food was so fresh and tasty ! Took the tuna/salmon poke and the cheesecake.
My 3 yo so had the mini tao poutine, he couldn't get enough despite the light spicy taste, it was just amazing.
Service was A1.

It was a bitterly cold Feb 24 when we four lady friends who just attended mass at the nearby St Patrick’s cathedral were both freezing and famished on the walk back to our hotel. We all agreed to have dinner at the first restaurant we’d come upon, any restaurant. Then there was Vargas just after a few blocks. If that wasn’t an answered prayer, I don’t know what is.
Anyway, we went in, and had a totally unforgettable dining experience, courtesy of our server. His warm and engaging personality more than made up for the frosty and condescending welcome from the receptionist. The ultimate salesman that he was, we went for his suggestions on a porterhouse entree, with all the best accoutrements and potables, then finally capped with coffee and a shared cheesecake. Altogether, it was a most wonderful evening for these women on a weekend getaway to Montreal.
Sebastian, you’re the best!!! We hope to see you again the next time we visit your beautiful city.

Food - their Lamb shanks, BBQ ribs, salmon plate are great. Tried their sushi for the first time, not bad at all. Onion soup is delicious with the old gruyere cheese. Cesar salad never disappoints. Their portion size varies from one dish to another.
Service- nothing to complain about. Always good.
Atmosphere- if you want a quiter ambience, do not sit near the bar. Otherwise, the ambience is great.

The salmon was cooked well and was delicious. Side of garlic mashed potatoes was also very good, and a pretty large serving. Side of cauliflower was also very good. My cocktail was also delicious. Service was good, not as great as I would have expected it to be. I ordered a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke and the waiter asked me multiple times what kind of spiced rum I wanted, after repeating that I wanted Captain Morgan. It was not a language barrier either. The biggest disappointment was the Prime Rib Au Jus. It was SO overly salty. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out first in our order, the underside was cooked much more than the top side and must have sat on a hot plate waiting for the rest of the order to come out to the table. I couldn’t even eat half of it because it was so tough, I couldn’t even cut through much of the steak with a steak knife. Very disappointing as I was really looking forward to an amazing tender steak. When I told the waiter about my disappointment in the steak, he didn’t say anything! Not even an apology or an offer to get me something else to eat or to take a little bit of the cost off of the check. Just…. Silence. I left more than half my meal on the table, and I always take home leftovers. I agree with a lot of the reviews. Some things are amazing and others just a disappointment.

The food was pretty good.
However, the coffee is so bitter that I can't drink it.
Very old and not fresh taste.
My friend and I took a sip and stood up.
And one of the servers, Old Woman, had a very stiff attitude, which was unpleasant.
I think people like that shouldn't work as servers.

We went to Saiko Bistrot on a tuesday night for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. He ordered the nigiri omakase and I ordered the complete omakase, which includes the 10 nigiri, 2 entrées, a soup and a piece of cake, and we shared everything.
Warning : the prices that are displayed on the restaurant webpage are from 2020 and are not up to date. We payed 80$ for the nigiri omakase and 150$ for the complete one, which is twice the price from 2020.
Apart from the surprise of the price, the food was really worth it. Every ingredient is sooo tasteful and selected with care by the chef. We sat by the bar, and the chef prepared each piece in front of us, asking us what we preferred and adapting depending on our answers. I'm not usually too much into japanese food, but this was incredible.
Our entrées were 8 pieces of sashimi (salmon, tuna and scallop), followed by 3 pieces of grilled scallops with crab, that had such a nice crisp to them. The soup was served with 4 makis and it was delicious. Then, the 10 nigiri were delicious : we had salmon, yellow tail tuna, shrimp, wagyu beef, eel... And finally, for the dessert, we chose a yuzu cheesecake that was very good, even if the slice was thin.
Worth noting that the restaurant closes at 9, and the omakase takes quite some time : we got there at 7, and finished eating at 9:15, rushing a little through the end.
To sum up, it is quite expensive, but I've never been so happy to spend this amount of money on a restaurant, it is very worth it.

I discovered this sushi place by recommendation.
It was worth the try. We ordered the Nigiri Omakaze, and the chef prepared us freshly prepared Nigiri and some personalized ones not from the menu. They were some of the best that I've tasted in Montreal.
We really enjoyed this experience, and we'll definitely come back!

We received a bottle of sake on the house and a little cake as it was my mother's birthday. Quite a nice place. I'd love to come back for their omakase option. A little disappointed in the chef's choice platter, as I've seen people receive plates with higher quality nigiris. I ordered a cocktail that was quite nice. It wasn't very strong, which is what I like, but that may not be the same for others. A staff member spilled a sauce, but was quick to clean up at least.

This must have been the best sushi experience I’ve had in Montreal. We got the omakase experience and it was really interesting to see the Chef prepare and explain all the different sushi and how they were prepared in an interactive manner. All the fish and seafood were extremely fresh and they have certain cuts that aren’t easily found in other generic sushi places in Montreal.
Some people complain that the service is slow, but that’s because the Chef works alone to assemble each sushi fresh made to order, so you get the best quality, that is worth the wait.
I’ve also got sushi delivered via Uber Eats from this place and they always came freshly prepared and delicious. Overall it’s a great place with a nice atmosphere and very good service. It is a bit on the costly side, but the quality of the food is worth it.

I came to Saiko Bistrot Izakaya a while ago and tried their Omakase. For the 10 piece omakase, I had: King salmon (Fairly fresh and crunchy, with a tint of sweetness), Bluefin tuna (Good texture, fresh, firm but not chewy), Hamachi (Excellent, oily on its own but good blend with condiments), Sea bass (Very crunchy, nice spice mix), Red snapper (Crunchy but smoother/softer than sea bass, really tasty and refreshing), Shimaichi (Good, new/unique flavour), Saba (Very fresh and sweet, extra tasty with the marinade), Otoro - Tuna from North Sea (Fatty, good but not as good as Japan), Toro - Caribbean (Fatty, soft, good), Hotate/Scallop (Fresh, sweet, nice balance). Overall, the omakase offered a wide variety of quality fresh fish for a decent price so I’d give it 8.5/10
