The food here is incredible!! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Menu is small which means they really focus on there items. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is soft and appealing.

Came here on a cold winter night while visiting Montreal, and it was such a cozy experience. The staff were very friendly, the steak was delicious, the calamari was perfectly crispy, and the beef tartare was incredibly tasty. Plus, it’s conveniently located just steps away from Square-Victoria metro station.

Got the steak and fries with mushroom sauce and the apple pie 🥧 It’s a bring your own wine so feel free to bring your bottles. Good and courteous service. Thanks again!

I discovered that you needed to bring your own wine after I arrived, but Couche Tard is only two blocks away, so it was easy to get wine with my dinner. Steak was prepared perfectly, the goat cheese appetizer was delightful, and the frites were prepared perfectly. And the service was great!

I love this restaurant and the atmosphere was pumping and it just had a great vibe and the food was so good. I started with a French onion soup and the broth was so rich and tasty. The soup was just delicious. Of course they had other things on the menu, but I went for the strip steak with fries and green beans. I did have the peppercorn sauce, which was just phenomenal and ended up having to order another pot of it to dip my fries into. The steak was cooked just right and was really really tasty despite eating so much. I did have a dessert which was good also. Great place for a bit of steak!!

During our spring trip to Montreal, we stayed at the Humaniti Hotel, just a short walk from Toqué!, and made a reservation well in advance in anticipation of this meal. It was an experience we truly looked forward to—and it did not disappoint.
The dining room is elegant and refined, and the service was attentive and thoughtful throughout the evening. We basically ordered most of the courses on the menu, 4 first courses and 4 main courses and 4 desserts. All four of us had an excellent dining experience, with consistently high praise for every course. I would recommend the quail dish, and beef filet was very good, too.
From the beautiful presentation to the precise and well-balanced seasoning, the level of craftsmanship was clear. I must say that for the quality of the food and overall experience, the pricing felt very reasonable.
We would absolutely look forward to returning on a future visit to Montreal.

My favorite restaurant in Montreal. The food, atmosphere and service are impeccable. The menu always pays homage to the seasonal québécois ingredients. I think the food has just the right amount of creativity. The chef pairs unexpected ingredients together without it being overly experimental. The lunch set menu is a great value, and their dessert is a must.

Went there for my birthday yesterday and it was an incredible experience!!! We tried the tasting menu with the wine pairing, definitely a game changer flavor wise. It really felt well thought out and very balanced! Our waiter Gary was the best! Very attentive and warm and even laughed at my bad jokes haha and having a good service like that does make difference in my eyes as a client, so thank you! :) Overall I recommend this place if you are open to discover new flavors with a classy touch! Will be back for sure, can’t wait

Toqué! was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish! The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the whole meal. The cozy yet elegant ambiance tied it all together.
Everything we ordered was amazing, from the scallop to the steak. But the duck confit deserves its own spotlight. The meat was tender, moist, and not at all greasy. The skin was crispy, adding that perfect savory crunch. Each bite was rich but balanced, and you could tell the quality and care that went into every step of its preparation.
But the true highlight for me was the dessert. Not only was it stunningly plated, but it tasted even better than it looked. Layers of texture and flavor that played together beautifully. I still miss that exact taste of jasmine tea and yogurt crémeux.
Every single dish we ordered was memorable in its own way. Toqué! isn't a cheap meal, but it's one of those rare experiences that's worth the money for all the senses, imo. Easily one of the best culinary experiences we've had in Montreal.

The staff were very attentive, even from the message I sent when making my reservation. They also greeted me with a smile and courtesy after I arrived. I chose the seven-course tasting menu. All the dishes were delicately and beautifully presented and delicious. The waitress explained each dish clearly, allowing me to enjoy the meal. I usually pair my wine with wine, but unfortunately I had drunk too much the night before and couldn't enjoy the wine. As I was leaving, they even made a special Japanese menu rist for me as a gift, since I'm Japanese. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. I'd definitely like to come back and dine here again when I'm in Montreal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was elegant and immersive, creating a truly upscale, almost cinematic dining experience. Although we arrived by Uber, the restaurant does offer valet service for $15, as well as a convenient coat check. The steaks were outstanding, especially the wagyu, which was exceptionally flavourful and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and pleasant throughout the evening, and another staff member regularly refilled our water and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. While there is no kids’ menu, the availability of Lego sets was a thoughtful touch that greatly impressed our sons. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and high-quality dining experience.

What a beautiful experience at Moishes. Is it pricey, yes. Was it worth every penny, absolutely. The service was immaculate and the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked steak and the truffle butter was so fragrant, yum. I ordered the asparagus and my friend was going to order the same and the server suggested we try the brussel sprouts instead as a second plate and to share. I was not disappointed they were so tasty. Would recommend and would definitely return.

Moishes delivers a classic steakhouse experience with moments of real finesse. The ambiance is exceptional, anchored by a beautiful bar that sets a warm, upscale tone the moment you walk in. Service is attentive and polished throughout, present without being intrusive.
The opening accompaniments impress. The pickles and coleslaw are crunchy and genuinely divine, far exceeding the usual steakhouse afterthoughts.
The tomato salad is fresh and delicious, elevated by a beautifully made pesto and chunks of feta. That said, at its price point ($30) for seven slices of tomato the value felt out of balance.
The steak itself is cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the addition of roasted garlic is a thoughtful and welcome touch. The sauces are well executed, with the chimichurri standing out as the most enjoyable.
Among the sides, the garlic mash is an absolute highlight, rich, comforting, and memorable.
Unfortunately, the mushrooms ($24) and polenta ($14) fall short in flavor feeling underwhelming for the price.
After the meal concluded, we ordered a fresh mint tea served with honey, a clean, soothing finish following the full service. We were far too full for dessert.
A final towel service at the end of the meal is a luxurious touch and a fitting close to an otherwise strong dining experience. Moishes shines brightest in its core offerings and service, though some sides and pricing could benefit from refinement.

Really great Christmas Dinner here. Staff was very friendly especially the 3 ladies at coat check. Food was good from the pickles and coleslaw to begin with. The beef carpaccio was different but good with the shaved macadamia nuts on it. Steaks were great! Bone in filets, filets, NY strips. Fries were fresh cut and the brussel sprouts were some of the best ever. Great upscale atmosphere with excellent food. A bit pricier than expected and or compared to the worlds best steakhouses.

- Impeccable service. Water was refilled regularly without us having to ask.
- We ordered the lunch table d’hôte, which is only available on weekdays.
- Complimentary bread, coleslaw, and pickles were served at the table.
- The grilled shrimp were really good, with a nice smoky flavor. The tomato salsa was surprisingly good, especially its sweetness.
- The ribeye was really good—slightly under-seasoned, but they provide steak spices on the side, which helps.
- I appreciated the extras: a choice of sauce (I chose pepper sauce), steak spice blend, and garlic confit, which allow for different flavor and texture combinations.
- They let you choose your steak knife, which is a nice touch, although the one I picked was a bit dull.
- The mille-feuille was also excellent.
- Restrooms were very clean, and I liked that they offer several amenities such as mouth rinse, Q-tips, etc.

Colleagues of mine and I from Agnutmaqan Association recently travelled to Montreal, QC for the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) conference taking place October 28-30, 2025. We were thrilled to find this Five Guys location only a 2 minute walk out our door … we were patrons here all three days.
I had the regular cheeseburger with bacon, my two other friends ordered the Petit burger and fries. 🍔🍔 While in Montreal it’s a must to try the poutine - FIVE GUYS hooked us up! The cheese curd and gravy were the perfect poutine combo 🍟- delicious (we ordered 7 of them during our three day visit). The burgers were freshly made and the toppings were fresh and bountiful!
This was my first time visiting Montreal as well as my first time to Five Guys burger place … it definitely won’t be my last for either!! FIVE GUYS focuses on burgers, fries and hotdogs - they don’t sell salads, chicken or a whole bunch of other menu items, they keep their focus on burgers, hotdogs and fries and it shows … See y’all soon 🙏 Merci Beaucoup

Five guys is amazing finally I had the opportunity to try it.
The burgers are absolutely amazing—juicy, flavorful, and fully customizable with a huge variety of toppings. The fresh, toasted buns hold everything together perfectly, and the patties are always cooked to perfection. And let’s talk about the fries—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
It’s a must try

You can build your burger just the way you like it. Very tidy and clean.

My recent visit to Five Guys McGill Street left me with mixed feelings! 🍔🍟🥤 The highlight of the meal was their delightful fries and lip-smacking milkshakes, which truly lived up to the restaurant's reputation. However, I have to say that the veggie burger I ordered was quite underwhelming. 😕
Let's start with the positives—the fries were outstanding! 🍟 Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were the perfect sidekick to our meal. And oh, those milkshakes! 🥤🤤 Creamy, rich, and full of flavor, they were simply divine. Five Guys definitely knows how to create mouthwatering sides and treats!
Now, onto the not-so-great parts. My friend and I were taken aback by the prices. 💸 While we expected to pay a bit more for quality, we both felt that it was a tad too expensive for a casual burger joint. The veggie burger, unfortunately, was the biggest disappointment. 😔 It lacked the bold flavors we were hoping for and turned out to be quite bland.
One thing I have to mention is the A1 sauce, and it's a big no-no. 🚫 We decided to try it, thinking it would add some zing to the burger, but it was far from enjoyable. The taste was off, and it didn't complement the meal at all.
On a positive note, the restaurant's atmosphere was inviting with an American-style burger joint vibe. 🍔🇺🇸 The ambiance was lively, and the staff was friendly and efficient, making the dining experience pleasant overall.
While the quality of the ingredients used in the burgers was good, I couldn't help but feel that the overall pricing didn't quite match what was offered. It's essential to strike a balance between taste, portion sizes, and pricing, which, in this case, seemed a bit skewed.
Five Guys McGill Street excels in certain aspects, such as their delicious fries and mouthwatering milkshakes, as well as providing a vibrant and upbeat atmosphere. However, the veggie burger's lackluster flavor and the higher price point were notable downsides. For those who crave a true American-style burger experience, it might still be worth a visit, but for me and my friend, we left feeling slightly underwhelmed. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

Sesame
It took a while to seat us even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The hostess and waitress were just standing far away, and there weren’t many people at all.
The seating we got was not ideal, right in the middle, on chairs with no backs, directly under a bright light. The ambience would have been better if the lights were dimmer, though the décor itself was nice.
Our waitress ignored us. When one of my friends asked for cups, she brushed it off. When we asked again, she acted rude, dismissive, and made it seem like a chore to get them. We had to ask twice before they finally brought us cups.
We waited quite a while to order. By the time someone came, we already knew what we wanted, so we ordered drinks, appetizers, and mains all together. Water came in just 2 glass bottles, and they never once brought more, even though there were 6 of us.
The service overall was just not good. We felt ignored the entire time. They didn’t check in once or ask how the meal was, even though there were barely any tables to serve.
Food:
General Tao rice – Solid 7.5. It had furikake on top and was good, but the chicken tasted more like sweet & sour than General Tao. The veggies were boring—lots of peppers, cabbage, onion, a couple pieces of celery, and only one piece of zucchini. I really wish it had some broccoli.
Chicken Pad Thai – 7.2. Spicy and tasty, but the heat kind of overpowered the other flavors. Not really impressive.
Shrimp Pad Thai – 8. Best flavor out of everything we tried. It was spicy in a good way, but the noodles were slimy and too short, almost like they’d been cut. Vegetables were boring here too. The shrimp, though, was good and not fishy.
Teriyaki – 5. Really disappointing. Almost flavorless, but somehow still had a weird off-taste.
Salmon poke – 6.6. Decent but average. It lacked sauce, and the edamame was a little hard. I’ve had way better poke bowls at Poke Station.
Fried wontons – 8. Tasty, crunchy, nice sauce. The filling tasted like Costco wontons, but still good overall.
Edamame – 9. Hard to mess up edamame, and they were salty and delicious.
Drinks:
Passion fruit mojito – 7. Good, refreshing, but didn’t have enough passion fruit flavor.
Hibiscus litchi (no egg white) – 2. This was terrible. I asked for no egg whites, and they gave me egg whites anyway. The two sips I had tasted like absolutely nothing. If I had an allergy, this could’ve been dangerous. Just a bad drink.
Margarita appeal – 4.7. Tasted like straight alcohol, with no flavor behind it.
Negroni – 7.5. Fresh, gingery, and enjoyable.
Passionfruit Tropic – 9. Amazing, full passionfruit flavor, delicious. This is the only thing I’d truly recommend from here.
Other notes:
Appetizers came out before our drinks, which usually isn’t a good sign.
I specifically said no egg whites in my drink , and they still gave me egg whites.
No one checked on us during the meal.
They refused to give us a table, claiming it was reserved for 10 people but no one ever came to it.
They didn’t ask how we wanted to split the bill.
We had to ask twice just to get the bill.
Only positive: when they messed up my drink with the egg whites, the waitress offered me another drink and only charged me for the cheaper one.
All in all, very mid restaurant. I wouldn’t go back. I’ve heard this location is average compared to others, so maybe that’s the issue, but overall I was underwhelmed and disappointed.
Ciera - 4 months ago
We had a decent experience at this restaurant, but there were some ups and downs. When we were seated, it took over 15 minutes for us to be served water, which was a bit too long, especially since we were quite thirsty. However, once I was able to get the waitress’s attention, she was very kind and polite, and from that point on, the service was good.
The cocktails were a highlight—delicious and well-made. Our entrées were also enjoyable. However, the main course was underwhelming. I ordered the Pineapple General Tao, but to my surprise, there was no actual pineapple in the dish. For an Asian fusion restaurant, I expected better execution, and honestly, I prefer the stir-fry pineapple dish from Thai Express over what I had here. It just didn’t meet expectations, and I didn’t feel compelled to take my leftovers home.
One thing I really appreciated was the music volume—it was lower than in many other restaurants I’ve been to, which made it easy to have a conversation without having to raise our voices.
Overall, I’d rate my experience a 3.5 out of 5. There were some great aspects, but there’s definitely room for improvement, particularly with the speed of service at the start and the quality of the main dishes.
Unyque D - 11 months ago
We couldn't get into another place without a reservation so we ended up here. It turned out to be a very good restaurant.
John Thompson - 5 months ago
The ambience is nice and the decor is pretty, although the music was too loud, there was so much noise I could barely hear the people I was eating with.
The service took a really long time, from coming to take our order, to bringing us our drinks (15-20 minutes) and brining us our diner (40min), we waited quite a lot. We believe the servers might have forgotten our food, since we saw the chef serve some tables, and the corner with heating lamps was entirely full.
It is important to add that the restaurant didńt have a lot of customers when we went, there were like 6 other tables.
When we finally got our food, mine was tepid, the plate was hot but not the food. The rice was slightly crusted over, like it was left too long under the heating lamp.
Otherwise the food was really good, I hade the peanut with tofu and it was really good.
Although I don’t think I would come back, it was not really enjoyable with the music and the service took too long.
Naomi Vogel - 6 months ago
We liked the vibe of the restaurant but an open window allowed a bee in to disturb our meal hence only 4star for atmosphere. We were initially seated and had our order take. by an enthusiastic server but food was served by a female server who forgot our requested spoons. Before finishing our food, she asked us to pay the bill though she explained coz she finished her shift but we didnt have to go. I didnt like being interrupted.
As for food, we ordered the tom yum and poke bowl. Being Malaysian i think we expected too much from the tom yum which lacks flavor but the poke bowl was good. Our complimentary spring roll was also tasty. Still unsure if we will return though

Great variety of prepared sandwiches, salads and meals made fresh daily. Expect a line up at lunch and get there early to have good selection as they sometimes sell out of certain sandwiches early, especially in the warmer months. Personal favorites include the Nona (meatball sandwich) or the chicken salad wrap made with cranberries and walnuts, and you must try the brownies.

If I could give them 5 stars just for their water service, I would. My glass was never less than half full (and I drink a lot of water). On top of that, everything we ordered was spectacular. We got the general tso's chicken (duh), snow peas & mushrooms, and Shanghai style noodles. I couldn't pick a favorite dish!
Safe to say, I will be back.

The best quality food, service and atmosphere you’ll find in a Chinese restaurant in Montreal. With the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and seating, there isn’t one bad table in the restaurant. Mr Ma and his team go above and beyond for their patrons. We ordered the dumplings with peanut sauce but I forgot to take a picture before devouring them up. I also recommend the general Tao chicken and fried rice.

What a treat. From the dumplings to the shrimp toasts to the Mongolian orange beef- everything was delicious. Add to that a nice ambiance and fabulous staff- 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend (especially for groups because you can share more dishes). Thank you very much!

What an absolute pleasure to rediscover the Ma family's refined hospitality and delicious cuisine. Warm hosting, attentive service, quiet atmosphere, and mouth watering classics that have elevated this family's reputation in Montreal for decades.
I just want them to know how much we have always appreciated them. It was my 14 year-old son's first experience, and he was blown away.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner tonight! We hope to be back soon.

I came to this restaurant with my family to have a nice dinner to start 2026 on a positive note. The food took a long time to arrive. The fried rice was very average, the crispy noodles were drenched in oil and the seafood was not evenly cooked. We asked for a beef with vegetables, the meat was not cooked and it was very hard. I was very disappointed because I had been there in the past and the food was much better.

Came here for a date night for the first time, and wow the meal was amazing. Started off with the small plate of sushi. 10/10 super fresh. I had the rib eye steak I believe and it was cooked to perfection. Ended our night with the strawberry cheesecake and let me tell you it wasn’t your ordinary slice of cake. It was presented so beautifully I didn’t even want to eat it lol (but I did) and it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend

Had a great experience at Vargas! It’s a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The drinks were good, and the tomahawk steak was also very good. Service was excellent. Yannick really created an amazing experience for us. Service 12/10.

Came in for a birthday dinner and left very satisfied.
Drinks came fast and we're very reasonably priced. Food was really good. Steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking. Waiter and busboy were very friendly and entertaining.
Will definitely be back.

Dinner was exceptional. I got East meets West with Filet mignon and kamakazi sushi roll. Absolutely the best steak I've ever had. The bearanaise sauce was so good as well. Our server Yannick was so accommodating and answered all of our questions. Absolutely amazing quality and service.

We were searching for a good steak house and, by chance, came across this place - and we are really glad we did. After a day's worth of traveling, we were certainly more casually dressed, but they found us a walk-in table, and we had an impressive meal. The bone marrow was exceptional, and the Caesar salad was good (but I tend to like mine with a little more punch). The steaks were absolutely perfect, and the sides were delicious. Service - perfection! I'd definitely go back.

Had a girl's night at Saiko sushi on a Wednesday night.
Each of us have a sushi - chef choice $38 sorry I forgot the name. But it was the fresh catch of the day. With rice under and surrounding by fresh avocados. It was really good! Super fresh, I feel the sashimi I can have a lot of them 😁
And we have added a beef yaki. The beef was not tender enough. however the teriyaki sauce is amazing!
5/5 for service. I have asked for gluten free soy sauce. The server did one step ahead by confirming if it is in allergy and made sure all my food are gluten free, and especially got me the teriyaki sauce gluten free as well
Missing one point is only because the beef was not tender.
Btw if you like Riesling , they have amazing Riesling $13/ glass. I like it sweet, and this one served in the restaurant exactly good sweetness

We received a bottle of sake on the house and a little cake as it was my mother's birthday. Quite a nice place. I'd love to come back for their omakase option. A little disappointed in the chef's choice platter, as I've seen people receive plates with higher quality nigiris. I ordered a cocktail that was quite nice. It wasn't very strong, which is what I like, but that may not be the same for others. A staff member spilled a sauce, but was quick to clean up at least.

I discovered this sushi place by recommendation.
It was worth the try. We ordered the Nigiri Omakaze, and the chef prepared us freshly prepared Nigiri and some personalized ones not from the menu. They were some of the best that I've tasted in Montreal.
We really enjoyed this experience, and we'll definitely come back!

We went to Saiko Bistrot on a tuesday night for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. He ordered the nigiri omakase and I ordered the complete omakase, which includes the 10 nigiri, 2 entrées, a soup and a piece of cake, and we shared everything.
Warning : the prices that are displayed on the restaurant webpage are from 2020 and are not up to date. We payed 80$ for the nigiri omakase and 150$ for the complete one, which is twice the price from 2020.
Apart from the surprise of the price, the food was really worth it. Every ingredient is sooo tasteful and selected with care by the chef. We sat by the bar, and the chef prepared each piece in front of us, asking us what we preferred and adapting depending on our answers. I'm not usually too much into japanese food, but this was incredible.
Our entrées were 8 pieces of sashimi (salmon, tuna and scallop), followed by 3 pieces of grilled scallops with crab, that had such a nice crisp to them. The soup was served with 4 makis and it was delicious. Then, the 10 nigiri were delicious : we had salmon, yellow tail tuna, shrimp, wagyu beef, eel... And finally, for the dessert, we chose a yuzu cheesecake that was very good, even if the slice was thin.
Worth noting that the restaurant closes at 9, and the omakase takes quite some time : we got there at 7, and finished eating at 9:15, rushing a little through the end.
To sum up, it is quite expensive, but I've never been so happy to spend this amount of money on a restaurant, it is very worth it.
