I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful hotel during my vacation, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was amazed by the breathtaking scenic views and the thoughtfully designed structure that blends elegance with comfort.
A special appreciation to the artists and creators behind this masterpiece — your vision, creativity, and attention to detail are clearly reflected in every corner of the property. The architecture and artistic elements feel alive and tell a story, making the stay feel unique and inspiring rather than just another hotel visit.
What stood out the most was how beautifully the hotel reflects the best of Canadian culture — warmth, respect for nature, creativity, and hospitality. The harmony between natural surroundings and modern design creates a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere that truly captures the spirit of Canada.
Thank you to the entire team and artists for creating such a remarkable space. This place is not just a hotel, but an experience that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone who values art, culture, and natural beauty.

An Outstanding Stay at InterContinental Montreal
Our stay at InterContinental Montreal was truly exceptional. The hotel kindly accommodated us with an early check-in at 10:00 a.m., which was greatly appreciated, and a late check-out at 2:00 p.m. on departure day, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable stay.
The front desk team provided consistently excellent service—professional, warm, and attentive. In the evening, a staff member thoughtfully followed up to ensure our comfort, a gesture that made us feel genuinely well cared for. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary drink at the hotel bar, which added a refined and welcoming touch to the experience.
Breakfast the following morning was excellent, with high-quality offerings that reflected the hotel’s commitment to detail and guest satisfaction. Overall, InterContinental Montreal delivered a polished and memorable luxury experience, and we would gladly return.

We stayed at the InterContinental Montreal for the past two days and had a wonderful experience to remember. We were checked in by Marie, who was super helpful and gave us all the information about the hotel amenities right away.
The housekeeping team kept our room spotless, and the in-room dining from Osco Restaurant was excellent — the food never disappoints! Every staff member we interacted with was warm and hospitable, including the valet team, which can be a bit slower during late hours but always courteous.
The location is also perfect — very convenient for exploring all the main tourist attractions and surrounded by great bars and restaurants.
Overall, a truly pleasant and memorable stay. Highly recommend!

I'm inspired to write a review over how incredible our experience at the Intercontinental was this weekend. We only booked one night as a special treat for my 35th birthday.
I had emailed the hotel a couple months back requesting an early check-in. They let me know that they couldn't guarantee the early check-in, but that we were welcome to use the pool at 2pm when we dropped off our bags.
When we arrived, they confirmed that our room was ready early, and that we had been upgraded to the city view King suite on the 25th floor. I was thrilled about the early check-in, and the city view room was the cherry on top.
Once we had settled in, room service knocked on the door and delivered complimentary cheesecake, sparkling and still water, and a signed card for my birthday. It was such a thoughtful surprise.
The hotel is beyond gorgeous. The lobby was offering complimentary hot chocolate for the holidays. Bar Sarah B is one of our favourites in Montreal. Le Fabrique de Bagel is just down the stairs in the concourse and has amazing bagels.
All in all, you really can't do better than the InterContinental. It has it all.

Not much to say… beautiful hotel, clean, amazing service and I had the chance to have a high floor with an amazing view. We loved our stay!
I also appreciated that the hotel is secured. They enforce a strict entry policy after 6pm, only allowing authorized guests to enter the hotel. I felt secure all the time when I was in the hotel.
The location is very good, close to the center.
Be aware of presence of junkies and homeless in some of the surrounding streets/city center.

The food here is incredible!! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Menu is small which means they really focus on there items. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is soft and appealing.

Came here on a cold winter night while visiting Montreal, and it was such a cozy experience. The staff were very friendly, the steak was delicious, the calamari was perfectly crispy, and the beef tartare was incredibly tasty. Plus, it’s conveniently located just steps away from Square-Victoria metro station.

I love this restaurant and the atmosphere was pumping and it just had a great vibe and the food was so good. I started with a French onion soup and the broth was so rich and tasty. The soup was just delicious. Of course they had other things on the menu, but I went for the strip steak with fries and green beans. I did have the peppercorn sauce, which was just phenomenal and ended up having to order another pot of it to dip my fries into. The steak was cooked just right and was really really tasty despite eating so much. I did have a dessert which was good also. Great place for a bit of steak!!

The food was good and the service was average.
We went to celebrate my mother's birthday, and we brought our own cake, as I understand you have your own cakes and you don't want to lose the "sale" of a cake, the fact that you charge extra $4 per person to "cut the cake" it's very cheap.
In addition, the waitress broght the cake with a candle without any warning and just put it on the table. It would be appreciated if she asked us before if we were ready for the cake... just small details ✨️

Toqué! is one of those rare institutions that justifies its reputation, particularly during the lunch service which offers a lighter, high-energy alternative to the formal dinner experience.
Having visited twice now for lunch, it’s clear the kitchen’s strength lies in its consistency and its focus on Quebec's seasonal terroir. The dining room, with its polished glass wine cellar and vibrant accents, feels upscale without being stuffy. It is the kind of place where the service is a science, yet the atmosphere remains accessible.
The plates are consistently artful, often highlighting a balance between rich proteins and sharp, fresh components. Starters like the foie gras terrine with its smooth consistency and fruit purée accents, or the confit trout with nasturtium oil, are technical standouts. For the mains, the walleye with caper beurre blanc and the butcher’s cut of lamb demonstrate why the restaurant has remained a flagship for over thirty years. While it is certainly a premium experience, the lunch set menu remains one of the best values in Montreal for this level of gastronomy.

An unforgettable evening crafted by François‑Emmanuel Nicol, the brilliant chef behind Québec City’s two‑Michelin‑star Tanière³. The nine‑course tasting menu with wine pairings was executed with absolute mastery. The venison main course was transcendent—perfectly prepared, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. And the surprise dessert of caviar and crème brûlée was a stroke of genius, balancing luxury, texture, and sweetness with remarkable precision. An exceptional culinary experience from start to finish.

During our spring trip to Montreal, we stayed at the Humaniti Hotel, just a short walk from Toqué!, and made a reservation well in advance in anticipation of this meal. It was an experience we truly looked forward to—and it did not disappoint.
The dining room is elegant and refined, and the service was attentive and thoughtful throughout the evening. We basically ordered most of the courses on the menu, 4 first courses and 4 main courses and 4 desserts. All four of us had an excellent dining experience, with consistently high praise for every course. I would recommend the quail dish, and beef filet was very good, too.
From the beautiful presentation to the precise and well-balanced seasoning, the level of craftsmanship was clear. I must say that for the quality of the food and overall experience, the pricing felt very reasonable.
We would absolutely look forward to returning on a future visit to Montreal.

Toqué! was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish! The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the whole meal. The cozy yet elegant ambiance tied it all together.
Everything we ordered was amazing, from the scallop to the steak. But the duck confit deserves its own spotlight. The meat was tender, moist, and not at all greasy. The skin was crispy, adding that perfect savory crunch. Each bite was rich but balanced, and you could tell the quality and care that went into every step of its preparation.
But the true highlight for me was the dessert. Not only was it stunningly plated, but it tasted even better than it looked. Layers of texture and flavor that played together beautifully. I still miss that exact taste of jasmine tea and yogurt crémeux.
Every single dish we ordered was memorable in its own way. Toqué! isn't a cheap meal, but it's one of those rare experiences that's worth the money for all the senses, imo. Easily one of the best culinary experiences we've had in Montreal.

My favorite restaurant in Montreal. The food, atmosphere and service are impeccable. The menu always pays homage to the seasonal québécois ingredients. I think the food has just the right amount of creativity. The chef pairs unexpected ingredients together without it being overly experimental. The lunch set menu is a great value, and their dessert is a must.

What an incredible dining experience. From the moment we walked in we were treated with outmost professionalism and this reflected in both front and back of house.
The dining room is extremely comfortable, clean and stylish. The waitstaff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful.
The steaks and sides were incredibly delicious. Cooked to order and flavorful.
Drinks and desserts were also great.
Worth every penny.

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was elegant and immersive, creating a truly upscale, almost cinematic dining experience. Although we arrived by Uber, the restaurant does offer valet service for $15, as well as a convenient coat check. The steaks were outstanding, especially the wagyu, which was exceptionally flavourful and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and pleasant throughout the evening, and another staff member regularly refilled our water and checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. While there is no kids’ menu, the availability of Lego sets was a thoughtful touch that greatly impressed our sons. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and high-quality dining experience.

Moishes delivers a classic steakhouse experience with moments of real finesse. The ambiance is exceptional, anchored by a beautiful bar that sets a warm, upscale tone the moment you walk in. Service is attentive and polished throughout, present without being intrusive.
The opening accompaniments impress. The pickles and coleslaw are crunchy and genuinely divine, far exceeding the usual steakhouse afterthoughts.
The tomato salad is fresh and delicious, elevated by a beautifully made pesto and chunks of feta. That said, at its price point ($30) for seven slices of tomato the value felt out of balance.
The steak itself is cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the addition of roasted garlic is a thoughtful and welcome touch. The sauces are well executed, with the chimichurri standing out as the most enjoyable.
Among the sides, the garlic mash is an absolute highlight, rich, comforting, and memorable.
Unfortunately, the mushrooms ($24) and polenta ($14) fall short in flavor feeling underwhelming for the price.
After the meal concluded, we ordered a fresh mint tea served with honey, a clean, soothing finish following the full service. We were far too full for dessert.
A final towel service at the end of the meal is a luxurious touch and a fitting close to an otherwise strong dining experience. Moishes shines brightest in its core offerings and service, though some sides and pricing could benefit from refinement.

Partner and I went for my 40th birthday lunch yesterday and let me tell you, our experience was in the top 3 service wise that I’ve ever had.
The food was absolutely incredible, but the staff just went above and beyond to be both attentive and personal.
Everyone stopped to find out more about us and by the time we left we felt like part of their family.
It’s a shame we’re 6 hours away from the restaurant because we would choose to go again and again. A+++

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding; the servers were always attentive, friendly, and mindful of every detail without being intrusive. That alone makes a big difference.
They offer a very good wine selection, and something I truly appreciated was that they let us sample a few wines until we decided which one we wanted. That level of service shows confidence in their wine list and genuine care for the customer experience.
The food was perfect. The steak was cooked exactly to the doneness we requested, full of flavour and very well prepared. I also ordered the salmon, which was equally delicious, perfectly cooked, and nicely presented.
When you arrive, they bring bread with butter to the table, along with pickles and a coleslaw salad, which is a nice traditional touch while you wait for your meal.
Overall, the food was very good, the service impeccable, and the entire experience was truly spectacular. Highly recommended.

Colleagues of mine and I from Agnutmaqan Association recently travelled to Montreal, QC for the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) conference taking place October 28-30, 2025. We were thrilled to find this Five Guys location only a 2 minute walk out our door … we were patrons here all three days.
I had the regular cheeseburger with bacon, my two other friends ordered the Petit burger and fries. 🍔🍔 While in Montreal it’s a must to try the poutine - FIVE GUYS hooked us up! The cheese curd and gravy were the perfect poutine combo 🍟- delicious (we ordered 7 of them during our three day visit). The burgers were freshly made and the toppings were fresh and bountiful!
This was my first time visiting Montreal as well as my first time to Five Guys burger place … it definitely won’t be my last for either!! FIVE GUYS focuses on burgers, fries and hotdogs - they don’t sell salads, chicken or a whole bunch of other menu items, they keep their focus on burgers, hotdogs and fries and it shows … See y’all soon 🙏 Merci Beaucoup

Five guys is amazing finally I had the opportunity to try it.
The burgers are absolutely amazing—juicy, flavorful, and fully customizable with a huge variety of toppings. The fresh, toasted buns hold everything together perfectly, and the patties are always cooked to perfection. And let’s talk about the fries—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
It’s a must try

My mom and I were in town for a show, and I noticed Five Guys actually exists in Montreal. A few American friends of mine told me they have the best fries, so I just had to go and see
It has easily the most barebone menu I've ever seen : burgers, fries, and milkshakes. That's it, I have no idea where the "hot dogs and free peanuts" from the generic summary are. I've seen more variety at Carnival foodtrucks that sell only churros
Ordered a cheeseburger with bacon (a ridiculous 15$) and a side of Cajun fries (5$), and the cashier frowned at me when I didn't give a tip (in a fastfood joint with no table service). Went to wait while listening to the way too loud music, and received my meal a few minutes later
The burger is.. well, it's a perfectly average, everyday burger you'd find at any snackbar for half the price. Girthy and satisfying, but absolutely not worth the ridiculous pricetag. As for the fries, they didn't taste Cajun at all, and were extremely salty
Add to that a bathroom that smelled strongly of cigarettes and a complete lack of seating (all of the tables are elevated, so you have to either eat standing up, which many people did, or sit on one of those precarious and uncomfortable tall bar stools), and it was just a miserable experience
Only in the US would this be considered a good place to go. There's dozens of other restaurants within walking distance, go literally anywhere else

It took a while to seat us even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The hostess and waitress were just standing far away, and there weren’t many people at all.
The seating we got was not ideal, right in the middle, on chairs with no backs, directly under a bright light. The ambience would have been better if the lights were dimmer, though the décor itself was nice.
Our waitress ignored us. When one of my friends asked for cups, she brushed it off. When we asked again, she acted rude, dismissive, and made it seem like a chore to get them. We had to ask twice before they finally brought us cups.
We waited quite a while to order. By the time someone came, we already knew what we wanted, so we ordered drinks, appetizers, and mains all together. Water came in just 2 glass bottles, and they never once brought more, even though there were 6 of us.
The service overall was just not good. We felt ignored the entire time. They didn’t check in once or ask how the meal was, even though there were barely any tables to serve.
Food:
General Tao rice – Solid 7.5. It had furikake on top and was good, but the chicken tasted more like sweet & sour than General Tao. The veggies were boring—lots of peppers, cabbage, onion, a couple pieces of celery, and only one piece of zucchini. I really wish it had some broccoli.
Chicken Pad Thai – 7.2. Spicy and tasty, but the heat kind of overpowered the other flavors. Not really impressive.
Shrimp Pad Thai – 8. Best flavor out of everything we tried. It was spicy in a good way, but the noodles were slimy and too short, almost like they’d been cut. Vegetables were boring here too. The shrimp, though, was good and not fishy.
Teriyaki – 5. Really disappointing. Almost flavorless, but somehow still had a weird off-taste.
Salmon poke – 6.6. Decent but average. It lacked sauce, and the edamame was a little hard. I’ve had way better poke bowls at Poke Station.
Fried wontons – 8. Tasty, crunchy, nice sauce. The filling tasted like Costco wontons, but still good overall.
Edamame – 9. Hard to mess up edamame, and they were salty and delicious.
Drinks:
Passion fruit mojito – 7. Good, refreshing, but didn’t have enough passion fruit flavor.
Hibiscus litchi (no egg white) – 2. This was terrible. I asked for no egg whites, and they gave me egg whites anyway. The two sips I had tasted like absolutely nothing. If I had an allergy, this could’ve been dangerous. Just a bad drink.
Margarita appeal – 4.7. Tasted like straight alcohol, with no flavor behind it.
Negroni – 7.5. Fresh, gingery, and enjoyable.
Passionfruit Tropic – 9. Amazing, full passionfruit flavor, delicious. This is the only thing I’d truly recommend from here.
Other notes:
Appetizers came out before our drinks, which usually isn’t a good sign.
I specifically said no egg whites in my drink , and they still gave me egg whites.
No one checked on us during the meal.
They refused to give us a table, claiming it was reserved for 10 people but no one ever came to it.
They didn’t ask how we wanted to split the bill.
We had to ask twice just to get the bill.
Only positive: when they messed up my drink with the egg whites, the waitress offered me another drink and only charged me for the cheaper one.
All in all, very mid restaurant. I wouldn’t go back. I’ve heard this location is average compared to others, so maybe that’s the issue, but overall I was underwhelmed and disappointed.
Ciera - 7 months ago
We had a decent experience at this restaurant, but there were some ups and downs. When we were seated, it took over 15 minutes for us to be served water, which was a bit too long, especially since we were quite thirsty. However, once I was able to get the waitress’s attention, she was very kind and polite, and from that point on, the service was good.
The cocktails were a highlight—delicious and well-made. Our entrées were also enjoyable. However, the main course was underwhelming. I ordered the Pineapple General Tao, but to my surprise, there was no actual pineapple in the dish. For an Asian fusion restaurant, I expected better execution, and honestly, I prefer the stir-fry pineapple dish from Thai Express over what I had here. It just didn’t meet expectations, and I didn’t feel compelled to take my leftovers home.
One thing I really appreciated was the music volume—it was lower than in many other restaurants I’ve been to, which made it easy to have a conversation without having to raise our voices.
Overall, I’d rate my experience a 3.5 out of 5. There were some great aspects, but there’s definitely room for improvement, particularly with the speed of service at the start and the quality of the main dishes.

Simple Asian cuisine experience overall. The bao with Tao chicken was a bit disappointing — slightly dry and missing sauce — but the orange beef was delicious. The peanut butter dumplings were quite sweet, but still enjoyable. Service was simple and pleasant.

Really nice place, with a warm ambiance, lovely staff and delicious food.
We had the tasting platter from the small dishes to share and for mains we had the Spicy Mayonnaise Bao and the Salmon/tuna poke bowl. Definitely worth the visit and in a nice neighbourhood!
Marieke - 9 months ago
The ambience is nice and the decor is pretty, although the music was too loud, there was so much noise I could barely hear the people I was eating with.
The service took a really long time, from coming to take our order, to bringing us our drinks (15-20 minutes) and brining us our diner (40min), we waited quite a lot. We believe the servers might have forgotten our food, since we saw the chef serve some tables, and the corner with heating lamps was entirely full.
It is important to add that the restaurant didńt have a lot of customers when we went, there were like 6 other tables.
When we finally got our food, mine was tepid, the plate was hot but not the food. The rice was slightly crusted over, like it was left too long under the heating lamp.
Otherwise the food was really good, I hade the peanut with tofu and it was really good.
Although I don’t think I would come back, it was not really enjoyable with the music and the service took too long.

Great variety of prepared sandwiches, salads and meals made fresh daily. Expect a line up at lunch and get there early to have good selection as they sometimes sell out of certain sandwiches early, especially in the warmer months. Personal favorites include the Nona (meatball sandwich) or the chicken salad wrap made with cranberries and walnuts, and you must try the brownies.

If I could give them 5 stars just for their water service, I would. My glass was never less than half full (and I drink a lot of water). On top of that, everything we ordered was spectacular. We got the general tso's chicken (duh), snow peas & mushrooms, and Shanghai style noodles. I couldn't pick a favorite dish!
Safe to say, I will be back.

The best quality food, service and atmosphere you’ll find in a Chinese restaurant in Montreal. With the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and seating, there isn’t one bad table in the restaurant. Mr Ma and his team go above and beyond for their patrons. We ordered the dumplings with peanut sauce but I forgot to take a picture before devouring them up. I also recommend the general Tao chicken and fried rice.

What an absolute pleasure to rediscover the Ma family's refined hospitality and delicious cuisine. Warm hosting, attentive service, quiet atmosphere, and mouth watering classics that have elevated this family's reputation in Montreal for decades.
I just want them to know how much we have always appreciated them. It was my 14 year-old son's first experience, and he was blown away.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner tonight! We hope to be back soon.

Amazing food and even better people! They are super friendly and provide excellent service. This is hands down the best Chinese food in Montreal, and the rice is simply out of this world

What a treat. From the dumplings to the shrimp toasts to the Mongolian orange beef- everything was delicious. Add to that a nice ambiance and fabulous staff- 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend (especially for groups because you can share more dishes). Thank you very much!

This is a hidden gem in Montreal. When you think of Vargas it doesn’t ring a bell as a talked about restaurant. However, it’s twice I go to this restaurant for business suppers and its honesty amazing. The entrees are more on the expensive side however, the size of the entree is huge! It’s so worth it. Go to Moretti and the same style of entree is the same price and it is half the portion. Now in terms of quality the food was fantastic! My colleagues and I will definitely go back. If you work downtown you need to go! I’d suggest sitting on the side of the bar since it’s renovated.

Came here for a date night for the first time, and wow the meal was amazing. Started off with the small plate of sushi. 10/10 super fresh. I had the rib eye steak I believe and it was cooked to perfection. Ended our night with the strawberry cheesecake and let me tell you it wasn’t your ordinary slice of cake. It was presented so beautifully I didn’t even want to eat it lol (but I did) and it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend

Came in for a birthday dinner and left very satisfied.
Drinks came fast and we're very reasonably priced. Food was really good. Steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking. Waiter and busboy were very friendly and entertaining.
Will definitely be back.

Dinner was exceptional. I got East meets West with Filet mignon and kamakazi sushi roll. Absolutely the best steak I've ever had. The bearanaise sauce was so good as well. Our server Yannick was so accommodating and answered all of our questions. Absolutely amazing quality and service.

Had a great experience at Vargas! It’s a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The drinks were good, and the tomahawk steak was also very good. Service was excellent. Yannick really created an amazing experience for us. Service 12/10.
