If you’re in Sydney and craving Thai that actually feels like a proper meal, It’s Time for Thai is honestly such a win. I grabbed their Beef Pad See Ew, and it’s exactly what you want when you're hungry the portion is huge, and those wide rice noodles have that perfect, slightly charred "wok" flavor that’s so hard to get right at home. The beef was super tender, and I loved that they didn't skimp on the Chinese broccoli or the fresh bean sprouts, which gave it a really nice crunch. It’s a busy, unpretentious spot with a great vibe, and since it’s Halal-certified and pretty affordable, it’s a total go-to whether you’re in Haymarket or Kingsford.

I came here with a group of friends, we waited around 10 minutes before we could go inside, it was a Friday night, so we could understand it would be crowded. The food portions were enough for the 6 of us, and I’m glad we came as a group so we could try a variety of the menus and not worry about leftovers which I believe you need to pay for containers here.
Definitely try their soups (Tom Yam and Tom Kha), their fish, it’s all good ✨👍🏻

Cute little place with really nice Thai food. Came across it on the street with some friends and we really enjoyed it!

We visited this fully halal Thai restaurant and had a great time. The fried rice, beef noodles, and laksa were all delicious—flavorful and comforting. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere made the whole experience even better. A lovely spot for a satisfying meal and warm hospitality.

Menya has been a staple spot for us to grab a delicious ramen or soba when the craving sets in! The food has been consistently delicious for well over 15 years since our first visit! My personal preference is the soba, but my wife and kids always choose a miso soup base ramen. Well worth a visit, the staff are friendly and the service is quick.

I just tried the menya ramen tonkotsu shoyu and I can tell you it's one of the best ramen I ate in my life and it taste exactly like Japanese made in heaven food!
Awesome 👍 Merci à vous pour ce ramen incroyable 💕

I ordered the set menu and was genuinely blown away by the value for money. For just $25, you get a large bowl of ramen (I chose the shoyu pork ramen), a rice bowl of your choice (I went with teriyaki beef), and one side (I picked the takoyaki balls).
The ramen broth was rich, authentic, and full of flavour, and the portion was generous with plenty of noodles. The teriyaki beef was tender and tasty, with soft, fragrant rice. The takoyaki balls were also delicious - gooey on the inside, and full of authentic flavour.
The staff here are incredibly kind, genuine, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s a lovely little spot tucked away in a corner of Haymarket/Chinatown.

This place is really hidden in Chinatown! It doesn’t have the fancy interior —— 🫵🏻BUT YOU SHOULD NOT MISS IT! 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻😎😎😎😎
Prob one of the OG ramen in Sydney that you can find the most authentic ramen and Japanese cuisine with the most affordable price! Everything on the menu is $20 or less 🤩🧐 the ramen was on a slightly stronger side, which’s actually closest to the one I’ve had in Japan 🇯🇵🍜🥢 what surprised me was the Menya Curry & Tori Kara-age which the fried chicken was so crispy and juicy 🐥🍗 the curry was made with beef stock base and even got some beef inside! ✨ SO GOOD!
What I ordered: 🥢
🌟Kogashi-ninniku Ramen (Pork) $19
🌟Teriyaki Wagyu Beef Ramen $18.5
🌟Menya Curry & Tori Kara-age $16 (Small size but it wasn’t small at all 🤣
Gyoza 🥟 $9.5
Seaweed & Fresh salad 🥗 $14

The best Krispy Kream branch I have ever visited!
The decoration is so stylish and creative. Every corner in this tiny shop is perfect for taking photos.
I believe this is the big branch so they baked the donuts at the back of the shop so everything is fresh. They got all selection from meals to drinks.
There are plenty of seats to sit and relax. I will come back for dine-in for sure.

It’s a good little store that definitely prepares some of the best donuts around central.
Having had Krispy Kreme donuts from 7/11 and Coles before, I had no idea that these donuts (simply glazed) would taste this much better when made in store.
I also liked how there was a place for students to study and charge their devices near the windows. Highly recommended but also bring a set a very good noise cancelling headphones if you do plan to enjoy a bite while you study.

Came in for a thick shake and quite enjoyed it. The service was friendly and helpful as they were nice to explain the actual flavor of ‘blue heaven’ which is just vanilla and raspberry. Also respect how the thick shake was actually somewhat thick and not just milked down like many other places do it. Would come back for doughnuts and/or other thick shakes.

Yummy donuts and nice Christmassy variety. They've got combo specials, so I got two donuts and regular coffee for $10. Cute outdoor and upstairs seating area plus nice staff. Coffee was a bit on the sweeter side but still good

Sushi Hub is one of my go-to spots when I’m craving fresh, affordable Japanese food. Their salmon salad is absolutely delicious—generous slices of fresh salmon served over a bed of crunchy vegetables with a light and tangy dressing. It’s healthy, refreshing, and always hits the spot.
I also love their sushi selection. The rolls are well made, neatly packed, and full of flavor. Whether it’s salmon, tuna, or prawn, the ingredients always taste fresh, and the rice is perfectly seasoned. It’s a great option for a quick lunch or takeaway dinner.
The service is fast, and everything is always neatly presented. For the price and quality, Sushi Hub is definitely one of the best casual sushi places around. Highly recommended for sushi lovers!

No fuss sushi place. They have quite an assortment of vegetarian options which is great if you just want to have a quick meal or snack. Friendly counter too.

This is my favourite sushi hub store - it offers takeaway which is always busy even at breakfast time as soon as they open! as well as a sushi train to dine in and eat at leisure inside. There was a huge variety of items available & the kitchen is busy making more as the turnover is so high which means the sushi is always fresh and have not been sitting around. Everything tasted fresh & well made including the sashimi. you can order off the menu and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Scallop & salmon were both super tasty & lightly torched & surprisingly the vegetable & prawn tempura which was very tasty. All the ships were all nice and very creamy, and I loved the tofu parcels which had flavoured brown rice inside. Never any boring bits in their sushi as even the rice are tasty and flavoursome with a good bite to it. if your dining in, pair it with a tea or beer which both go so well. a fabulous place for dining in or takeaway.

Food here is alright, but I wished they had the Crispy Meat Free Chicken option at this location like they have at the one in QVM. It’s hands down the best vegetarian roll option, not sure why they don’t stock it here.

The seafood 🐟 is very fresh, the salad is tasty. You can take away or 🍣 sushi train dine in. Bought a sushi lunch box, don’t forget to bring it next time to get your free green tea 🍵 or miso soup. Enjoying my food.

It may be a bar but the food is excellent with daily specials. The Saturday schnitzel was excellent - I like it being a little thick and meaty. Mash with vegetables are light and healthy. Garlic prawns add on was excellent as well. Staff has no issue with us sharing the food. Apologies for the photo of the almost eaten dish.

Me and my friend visited this cozy Cantonese home-style restaurant in Sydney and had a wonderful dining experience.
The highlight of the night was definitely the pumpkin seafood fried rice, served inside a whole golden pumpkin. The rice was fragrant and generously filled with seafood, while the pumpkin added a subtle natural sweetness that made the dish unique and memorable.
We also tried the steamed chicken wonton soup, which was light and comforting. The double-boiled chicken soup with abalone and dried fish maw was rich and nourishing without feeling too heavy. You can really taste the depth of slow cooking.
The amber walnut king prawns were juicy and perfectly coated in creamy mayo with crunchy walnuts, and the sweet and sour pork ribs had a great balance of tangy and sweet flavors.
Overall, the food was flavorful, comforting, and well-prepared. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, making it a great spot for family meals or gatherings. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Cantonese-style dishes and nourishing soups.

The soup is incredible, with a flavorful broth and a generously sized abalone. The dried fish maw has good texture. However, if you plan to order the peach jelly in papaya for dessert, it should be requested 15–20 minutes in advance.

Tried three dishes at Soup Palace and was genuinely impressed. The soup was soothing and sweet, the scallop fried rice had perfect wok aroma, and the steamed chicken with lotus leaf was tender and flavorful. Fresh ingredients, authentic taste - a real find for Cantonese home-style cuisine in Sydney. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a gem which we discovered while staying in the Chinatown area in Sydney. It is in a remote little residential area, unlike those found along the roadside but food was really good n of reasonable price. The fried kway teow and fried rice were very flavourful. My noode with roast pork was very delicious. Highly recommened.

Fum time had also celebrating with cake, sake bomb drinks and cocktails. If you haven't done teppanyaki before, you will enjoy it here. This is a surprisingly good place to eat. The food is awesome. Very tasty & made to your desired level of chillie hot. Very affordable. The ambiance is OK nothing outstanding but it is neat & clean. The restroom however needs urgent & tender loving attention. In the heart of Sydney's CBD, parking is difficult, however if you arrive by train to Central station it is an easy five minute walk from platform to restaurant. Friendly & helpful service. Highly recommend it.
