Tried the prawns and shark bay scallops for entree - both were so good, we can’t choose which one stands out more. For mains, we had the dry-eyed wagyu eye of chuck 200g and the dry-aged hereford sirloin on the bone 400g, each were the perfect size and taste for my partner and I. Pavlova and green mango sorbet were so refreshing to finish the meal!

Ready for an incredible dining experience?
Rockpool Bar & Grill, Sydney—stunning Art Deco setting, exceptional menu and wine list. Sommelier Daron picked a classic Australian Shiraz that really delivered. Impeccable service, perfectly timed courses. Huge steak selection; Erika explained cuts, marbling, flavor… and the steak arrived perfectly cooked! Beautiful plating—save room for dessert and for an added bonus, the caramel popcorn + cappuccino is a winner.

Some places stay with you, no matter how much time passes.
It’s been close to 12 years since my last visit, back when they were on Bridge Street, and returning to the Hunter Street dining room felt instantly familiar. Still one of the best places in the country for steak, this is a restaurant that knows exactly what it’s doing and does it exceptionally well.
We ordered four steaks and far too many sides, most of which I didn’t manage to photograph because everything landed on the table at once and I felt bad for the hungry guests on my table! Every cut was cooked to perfection, each side thoughtfully executed, and not a single element needed adjustment. There are no salt or pepper shakers on the table for a reason. Everything arrives seasoned exactly as it should be.
The room is as striking as ever, from the opulent green marble and art deco details to the seamless service throughout the space. It’s refined without feeling stiff, impressive without trying too hard.
The food was outstanding, but the service really stood out. Warm, polished and genuinely attentive, it’s the kind of experience that reminds you why Rockpool continues to be so highly regarded.

Had my Birthday dinner at Rockpool. Food was great and the cocktails too. But the waiter actually forgot to write down my order considering I was the Birthday Girl ! I was really looking forward to the lobster and the squid ink dishes which sadly never arrived. Considering the price tag I was expecting better service. The seafood is obviously great and if you are a seafood lover like me you can try it but I think for that price range Sydney has far better seafood restaurants to offer. The vibe is posh and the decor is okay. I suppose after living in Doha for 15 years Sydney doesn’t really look very luxurious lol

We went to Rockpool Bar & Grill for our anniversary dinner and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
The setting is elegant and timeless, perfect for a special evening, and the attentive service ensured great experience.
We had two dietary requirements and the team managed them seamlessly across every dish, even offering to create an off-menu dessert when the regular option couldn’t be adapted to our needs.
We started with the haloumi appetizer, which was beautifully grilled with a light char and served with pickled currants that balanced the dish. For mains, we ordered the sirloin and the eye of flank, and both steaks were superb, cooked precisely as requested with rich, wood-fire flavour and excellent seasoning. While both the sides, the Potato Purée & the Creamed Corn were great, but for me the Creamed Corn is a must-have!
This is a standout destination in Sydney for fine dining and celebrating special moments
Highly recommended. I will definitely be going back…
PS: Most of the there Steaks are Halal-sourced (except one of the lines). Please inform the staff and there will happily accommodate this.

We had dinner for three, choosing the Buffet at $89/person, and ended up ordering:
• 3 bowls of Egg White & Seaweed Soup (very tasty!)
• 500g Wagyu Beef Ribs MB9+ (super tender but a bit too fatty)
• 100g Wagyu Ribeye Cap MB9+ (less fat but slightly chewy)
• 100g Beef Tongue (the BEST — incredibly tender!)
• King Prawn (super fresh!)
We didn’t order anything else because we were already too full.
Highly recommended if you want a good Japanese BBQ variety — I’ll definitely miss their beef tongue!

The $89 yakiniku all-you-can-eat is such great value! The meat is fresh and juicy, with plenty of choices. Service is excellent too! Definitely coming back!

We love this place so much we came here twice this year (once for my birthday and once for my partner's). That should tell you how good it is!
We did the All You Can Eat and the quality is excellent. The sashimi is genuinely fresh (which can be rare for buffets) and the meat quality is top tier.
What impressed us most was the speed—we ordered on the iPad and the food arrived literally 2-4 minutes later.
Highly recommend for a celebration!

This place is great. Super friendly people, a small menu, and excellent wine choices. Definitely worth a visit. The Schnitzel is excellent, thin as schnitzel must be. Think about pairing this with the arugula salad, the two naturally go together. For a small wine bar across from Hyde Park this place is doing food and wine extremely well.

I've dined here before so know you'll always get a varied and great wine list. What impressed me with a recent visit (after too long of a gap between visits) is how good the food is - compliments to the chef. Some real stand outs including the terrine, fried scamorza, schnitzel, steak and peppercorn sauce. Even the bread was so tasty. The Madeleines are the cherry on top and are so good. Look forward to visiting again.

Great Christmas dinner here with BYO for free!
Reasonable prices but great variety of seafood and meats.
As starters, we got oysters that had good meat inside. The potato croquets tasted amazing, too.
The steak was nicely medium rare with amazing colours.
Finally, finishing with the affogato is a must! Hot espresso and liquor over a gelato ice cream. It couldn't get any better.
Highly recommend this place.

We had an excellent dining experience at Spice Temple - served by Tony & his colleagues.
Every dish felt thoughtful and full of flavour, with the recommendations really making the night special.
The suckling pork was the night’s special and was perfection - an easy order again dish.
The custard duck egg spring roll was another standout. Can not wait to return to enjoy again. It was silky smooth and creamy inside, with a crispy bite that reminded me of a thin, crispy churro shell around an incredibly rich filling.
The mango granita was a refreshing finish and tasted like actual fruit rather than just a flavoured dessert, which made it the perfect way to end the meal.
The pickles are a must-order, and the beetroot in particular was a great choice because it balanced sweetness and tang while cutting through the richness of the other dishes.
The yellowfin tuna was light and refreshing, while the pink snapper was more intense but incredibly flavourful — both highly recommended.
The hot and numbing dry wagyu beef was also excellent, bold and intense in flavour, and I’d recommend pairing it with rice.
The prawn wontons had a delicious sauce that was spot on, though they would have been even better with a little more filling.
The drinks, especially the Monkey Zodiac, were refreshing and worked perfectly as a binder between the dishes

I had dinner with a friend for my birthday, and everything was great!!
The pork char siu, snapper, eggplant, dumplings, and pickles were delicious.
I also loved that they serve small dishes, which is great for 2–3 people who want to try lots of different things.
I think it’s my favorite restaurant in the city!
And I should’ve asked the Italian lady for her name — she was so friendly!
One small thing — we ordered still water, and it ended up being $10 pp. It did feel a bit pricey, so I wish they had mentioned it beforehand. Maybe offering a different water brand at a lower price could be a good option.

The service is exceptional: attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The ambience is equally impressive, with a refined, upscale atmosphere that feels more like a high-end dining experience than a typical restaurant.
That said, the food itself was underwhelming. While well presented, it lacked the bold flavors, heat, and depth that define authentic Sichuan cuisine. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with outstanding hospitality, but the culinary experience did not quite match the expectations set by the setting and service.

Had such an amazing experience here. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully designed, and every dish was full of rich flavour. The staff were super attentive and friendly, which made the night feel even more special. Highly recommend the special sirloin, it literally melts in your mouth. Big shoutout to the kitchen team for all the incredible dishes. Definitely one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in Sydney!

So simple yet so delicious. Hits the spot no doubt for a classic sandwich… the Will is the best thing ever and it’s the kinda thing you’d try and recreate at home but fall short. Served with a smile, made fresh and saw the worker give out freebies to our healthcare workers. Ridiculously cheap for what you’re getting, such a good well kept secret.

I had the gluten free chicken and prosciutto sandwich (toasted). It was lovely and I especially loved the Gorgonzola 😻 I did find my gluten free bread to be pretty dry and super crusty. I know it can be hard to find good gf options… also I just felt like a little pepper and tomato would be a great addition to this sandwich.

Cute tiny sandwich shop, located right hand side of the pharmacy is the entrance. There is a toilet located just behind the shop on the left hand side. Can be busy at lunchtime, but all was very tasty and it's nice to take it to the park and eat it there

Enjoyed this place as they had veggie and vegan options! Service was great. Got the veg Mediterranean on sourdough, which was excellent and my partner got the Tempeh Burger (removed Tabouli) on sourdough and he enjoyed that. Would recommend. It’s a grab and go shop, so have to find a bench elsewhere but would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! Every dish was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. Sydney Rock Oysters were to die for and Wagyu Steak, Striploins and Double Lamb chops were best steaks I have ever had. Charred Sweetcorn, Paris Mash and Beans were also very well seasoned and it was amazing complements to the steaks.
Deserts were perfect way to finish the great night!
Highly recommended!

very satisfied with our meal
both steaks were 10/10, the wagyu strip-loin was so tasty without feeling the usual fattiness of wagyu and our tbone had the most perfect crust
their rendition of a beef tartare was definitely unique and a must try
and a perfect finish with they cast iron choc hazelnut cookie

Overall big 9.5/10 for everything !!!!
Funnily enough the scotch fillet was my favorite over the T-bone 🥩!
We ordered:
- bone marrow 9/10
- Paris mash 15/10 best mash potato I’ve ever had in my life !!!!!
- Mac and cheese 8/10
- scotch fillet 11/10
- t-bone 8/10
And a whole lot of wine and makers mark on the rocks 🤣
This place is on the pricier side but it’s completely worth it and somewhere I will continue to go back to time and time again!
Can’t wait for my next visit !

Came here for our anniversary and the steak was impeccable! I’ve had many tomahawks, but this was cooked to absolute perfection juicy and beautifully marbled. The peppercorn sauce was a perfect pairing, though I would’ve loved a more generous portion.
On the other hand, the beef tartare was a bit disappointing; the potato overpowered the beef, leading to an unbalanced ratio. The chips were mid had much better.
That said, the service was excellent. When we mentioned it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary cocktail, and our waiter was both knowledgeable and attentive throughout the night.
We were too full for dessert, though the menu options didn't seem particularly exciting. The steak is definitely their strength, and I highly recommend them for that!

Beautiful, elegant and charming Japanese restaurant in the heart of Sydney. Azuma will warm to those seeking authentic and careful crafted cuisine. The staff is friendly and welcoming, professional and courteous. The food was exquisite. Whether you’re looking for an elegant night out or an impeccable business lunch, Azuma will rise to the occasion.

Azuma feels different from many Japanese restaurants in Sydney - run mostly by Japanese staff, it carries an authenticity and quiet elegance that is not at all touristy. Even the wall of fine wines adds to the understated beauty of the setting.
The food was exceptional throughout. I particularly enjoyed the variety of seafood dishes, each prepared with delicacy and depth of flavour. The desserts were equally memorable - refined yet playful - and one, presented with a flickering light, delighted my niece during a family celebration. It was a thoughtful touch that made the evening feel special.
Azuma balances refinement and warmth in both service and food. It has quickly become a place I would return to, and one I would recommend to anyone seeking true Japanese hospitality in Sydney.

Service here was impeccable. The servers were attentive to us and they would clean the table and replace our plates for every dish we finished. Water was refilled quite frequent too.
We had edamame and lotus crips to start. I found the crisps a tad too salty. We had Wagyu tataki and it cake with lotus crips too. They were just as equally salty and I had to drink a lot of water. Though Wagyu tataki was flavorsome and nicely presented, I would have liked it better had the sauce not been overly salty.
Agedashi tofu and eggplant was my favorite dish as it was soft and fresh, not to mention it was flavorful with the broth. It was the only dish I found not overwhelming.
We had king prawns and vegetables tempura for sharing too and it was the best tempura I had in Sydney. They were fried to perfection and not overwhelmed with oil at all, not to mention they were very crispy and flavorsome. I enjoyed every bit of it with the sauce they provided.
We got Wagyu sirloin steak mbs5+ with yuzu chilli dipping sauce and it was nicely presented. It was nicely done in medium rare and I enjoyed it with the sauce provided. It was well complemented with the veggie in it.
Lastly, we had their limited time Mont Blanc daifuku dessert with matcha gelato to finish off. It was a tad disappointing as I didn’t like the texture of daifuku that much. It tasted like a frozen mochi. Though I loved the matcha gelato.
All in all, I had a pleasant dining experience here. Thumbs up to the good food and good customer service.

I'm on a personal mission to find the best sushi and sashimi and have been fortunate to have struck gold with Azuma. I have now had lunch here two weeks in a row, first time by myself and second time bringing my partner after listening to me rave about Azuma during my first visit!
Food is consistent and beyond exceptional, the sashimi and nigiri were so fresh and delicious it took us both right back to Japan. The food is prepared and presented with fine precision and skill, which is hard to come by in Sydney when it comes to Japanese food. There are lots of options in Sydney but I am after a very specific experience and Azuma ticked all the boxes for me. Food is obviously important but it's the collective experience with wait staff, chefs and restaurant space to elevate it from just being amazing food to a truly magical experience. Everyone there is genuinely friendly and warm, I had great chats with Mickey she's truly lovely! I feel so fortunate to have found a slice of Japan so close to home, I will be back again without a doubt!

Located in the heart of the CBD, The Flynn is a standout choice for after-work drinks or a casual business lunch. It masterfully blends 1940s charm with a high-energy sports bar vibe, making it versatile enough for both a quiet dinner in the back and a rowdy game on the big screens.

Excellent value lunch offerings at Deli Ziosa. Very popular but the staff are working at warp speed and getting through the lines at the lunch rush.
I ordered a small salad ($11) with 2 choices. One was Cajun Chicken Pasta and the other Chicken Caesar Salad. Both were tasty and the Cajun one had a bit of bite to it. Interestingly the Cajun chicken used dark meat in the salad while the caesar had chicken breast pieces. They really packed it into the container.
No internal seating and good luck finding a spot in the MLC foodcourt. I enjoyed my salads on the steps outside in the sun.
Great value.

I used to work in King St near the MCL Centre, and Deli Ziosa was our "go to place" for coffee, lunch and sometimes breakfast. The food was always excellent, consistent and very yummy. The coffee was fantastic.
So today, 10 years later, I find myself in the City needing some breakfast! Guess what? Deli Ziosa is still there, with the same everything, and surprise, surprise, the prices haven't gone up that much. Large flat white, less than $5, and a very yum bacon and 2 egg roll, less than $10. What's not to like! 👍🤪

Righto. I was not planning on leaving a review for this excellent "sandwich shop" (it does much more than sandwiches!), which is why I didn't take photos when there. But when I got back to my desk and launched into my sandwich, I just knew I had to say something. This is one of the few places where you can still get a sandwich made with your own combination of fillings. My sandwich was AMAZING - one of the most delicious and satisfying I've ever had, and that's saying alot! It started with the service, they were very tolerant of me just standing there trying to work out what ingredients I wanted on my sandwich. Then when I finally decided on a variation of a classic, old school ham-salad sandwich, they put it together with generosity and a smile 😃! Just fyi - rye bread, butter, ham, cheese, rocket, carrot, onion, tomato, beetroot, salt, pepper, mayonnaise. All for $13.20. Try them, you WON'T be disappointed 😌!

Had the roast beef wrap because there were no Chicken pesto sandwich/wrap left (30 minutes until closing time).
Very chewy roastbeef, too little sauce compared to the bread which made it dry, too much spinach compared to dried tomatoes and cheese. But it was edible and made me full. Service was fine and quick.

The food was really special, we love the service. The dressing for the Caesar salad was incredible, honestly best ever. The burrito so so good

Great Mexican place with fun dishes and a very chilled setting. Really enjoyed the creative take on some dishes including the jalapeno poppers.
Staff super friendly and easy to deal with.
I do find the use of QR codes frustrating sometimes and prefer to just talk to someone about options. It was great that we could do this - especially after we ordered three jugs of margaritas rather than three glasses!

Fantastic bar with a vibrant atmosphere and delicious Mexican food! The tacos were reasonably priced at $8 each, and every bite was packed with flavour — the fish taco was definitely our favourite. The drinks and cocktails were also impressive, with a great range to choose from. Highly recommend for a fun night out with great food and drinks!

I wanted to love this place. It has such a cool vibe as you came down the stairs.
My group went for the $5 taco Tuesday special. We were a group of 4. All ordered on the QR code within seconds of each other. The first meal came out within 10 minutes. The next was another 10 minutes and the last 2 people didn’t get their meals until 30 minutes after we ordered. We asked twice for the last meals, as the first 2 people had already finished eating.
The fish taco was a highlight but not worth 30 minutes unfortunately.
