5 Star Rating I love this dim sum restaurant. I've enjoyed it twice, on two different occasions, while overnighting in Richmond on flight stopovers. Both times I went early in the day - just after they open at 10am. This time I thoroughly enjoyed the chrysanthemum tea with my meal. Staff is attentive and food is served hot and quickly. The food is excellent. The restaurant space is huge (lots of professional staff) and tables set with pristine white table cloths. On my stopovers I order enough food to try at the table and then I take the rest with me to enjoy on my flight. I highly recommend this restaurant.

4 Star Rating Great dim sum spot! We made a reservation, which I highly recommend because the place is popular—there were about 20 people in the reservation line alone, plus a separate line for walk-ins. The food quality was excellent and the pricing felt very fair. The environment is nice, though be aware there is a standard per-person tea charge. It’s a very busy, high-energy atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it lacks a bit of a "personal touch." Service is efficient but there isn't much interaction with the staff. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the food!

4 Star Rating Fisherman's Terrace Seafood Restaurant is a highly popular, large Cantonese restaurant in Richmond, BC, known for its authentic dim sum, fresh seafood, and elegant setting inside Aberdeen Centre, a major mall in Richmond, BC. They offer a vast menu with English and Chinese options, specializing in classic dishes like shrimp dumplings (har gow), pork buns (siu mai), and steamed chicken, making it a go-to spot for family gatherings and banquets. They are located on the third floor and they have free parking located inside their multi level parkade. I think they have a 3 hour limit parking but don’t quote me on it. I just don’t remember what the signs said about the hourly limits. The dim sum is tasty. It’s a busy location with a lot of Aunties, Uncles, and elders. I wasn’t expecting the portions to be a touch smaller than average. Perhaps it was an off day? The Su Mai, pork and prawn dumplings was small. The Egg tarts were small. The sticky rice was small too. Definitely no complaints on the taste. It’s tasty. But compared to other competitors, other places easily scored higher on value for the same quality with more quantity. By the way if anyone is wondering, the tea fee is $2.00. I would love to come again to try their dinner menu soon.

5 Star Rating Fisherman's Terrace is a highly recommended dim sum spot, conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the Aberdeen Centre. The restaurant itself is glamorous and spacious, providing a comfortable and enjoyable setting for a meal. The dim sum is really good, consistently made with fresh ingredients and served in good portions. What truly sets this place apart is the quick and attentive service. I still remember the kind smile of the old male server, a detail that highlights their commitment to a pleasant dining experience. An English menu is available, making it welcoming for everyone.

4 Star Rating Honestly don’t know why this place is called Wu Fung Dessert when they don’t sell any desserts at all. I was doing a Richmond food court crawl and visited Aberdeen Centre to try out the chicken wings here. This seems to be one of the most popular, if not the most popular, place to go in this food court according to online food bloggers. Other notable places include Champion Potato Noodles, John 3:16, etc., but this one stood out the most to me. Prices seem a bit expensive, at $8 for 3 wings (very minor discount if you buy more, with $15.50 for 6 ($0.50 discount) or $30 for 12 ($2 discount). However, the wings were full on wings with drum, flat, and tip, so it’s not that bad, but still not cheap. I got a few wings to try out myself first and I have to say that they’re one of the best (Chinese fried) wings I’ve ever had. It’s hot, juicy, crispy and has a simple, yet addicting seasoning. It’s slightly different from the Chinese American fried wings as it has less of a batter and less garlic, and more peppery. It was so good I opted to buy the 12 wing option after, but the taste after bringing them home was incomparable with eating them on the spot. I also got HK style milk tea for $3.50. I don’t know why being cold warrants it being $0.50 more than hot, but whatever. Despite me praising the food here, I think the service wasn’t good. They gave me one box that didn’t fit 12 wings at all, completely unacceptable. I asked for another box, but no, boxes and bags cost extra. Makes no sense to me to serve someone like this. Lady at counter was also not so friendly, but whatever. I was mainly annoyed at how they packed the wings.

4 Star Rating Came here for dinner in Aberdeen Mall to try out their famous chicken wings but decided to do their chicken middle wings instead. Also ordered the Chicken Fillet and Fish Tofu with Rice Vermicelli + Beef Brisket and Tendon on Rice. These items come with a hot/cold drink. Overall the food was pretty good. My wife thought the service was pretty good ... maybe because we tipped them (lol). Will come back here again to try something else but always wonder why call it "dessert" in the name when drinks is the closest thing to dessert.

5 Star Rating Amazing wings, best wings in Canada. Strange place for it to be the best. Inside the shopping mall Aberdeen Mall food court. But it’s the truth, you won’t find better chicken wings anywhere. I’ve never tried anything else on their menu and don’t intend to. I believe the majority of bad reviews are based on its name “dessert house” and the other offerings. It’s a bit of a wait because it’s cooked fresh but well worth it.

5 Star Rating Watched four videos on YouTube on Aberdeen Centre Food Court that ALL touted the praises of the chicken wings as Wu Fung Dessert. They were not wrong. In fact I would go so far as to say that they are the best chicken wings I have ever eaten in my entire life. No sauce needed - simply an array of amazing unknown spices that made it so good I went back and got yet another three. Don't let the dessert in the headlining moniker throw you - they do chicken right.

5 Star Rating ****EDIT: I had leftover slices and it gets better each day. The crust is so fantastic…very chewy and flavourful compared to some pizza places where the crust is bland. It’s like comparing artisan fresh bread to basic supermarket bread. I’ll definitely become a regular now. Had a stressful day at work and decided to order a pizza. My friend recommended this place and other reviewers recommended the spicy beef. It’s not my fave pizza of all time but it really hit the spot with the first bite with a pack of flavours bursting in my mouth. The garlic sauce came with the pizza and it complemented nicely. Exactly what I needed.

5 Star Rating If you blink you miss it. Take a look at my profile. I travel all over the country for work and I am a pizza snob. I was pleasantly surprised, I kept it simple and pepperoni and cheese. If you can do a simple pizza I will go back and try other things. I've been to New York Chicago, San Diego, San Antonio. I've been everywhere man and I was was quite surprised at the quality of the pizza. The gentleman behind the counter was super cool and the food came out fairly quickly. I'm going to say, this is definitely in my top five that I have had traveling in the past 2 years. Hard to compete with New York and Chicago but for Vancouver, Canada. This is definitely a pleasant surprise. Thank you sir. You made a damn good pie

5 Star Rating Almost perfect pizza 🍕 😋 Not doughy, not runny, not overly greasy, not small, not thin, the toppings have flavor, but so does the crust. This pizza doesn't taste cheap or like cardboard. The only thing is the crust can be a little hard at the end of the night. Great people behind the counter, too.

5 Star Rating This place serves truly authentic Sichuan-style skewers — the flavors are rich, spicy, and exactly how they should be. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh and well-prepared. My personal favorites are the beef tongue, pork brain, chicken heart, beef tripe, and the tender beef slices — each one cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The service is exceptionally warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience very enjoyable and memorable.

4 Star Rating We tried this restaurant for dinner. We loved our dining experience at Yuan’s Hot Pot. It’s conveniently located inside Aberdeen Centre in Richmond, so parking was relatively easy. We went with the package for two, which I found to be both affordable and generous. It included a variety of skewers that you can choose from the menu. They also provided a nice bib. Service was pleasant and prompt. The restaurant was spacious and clean. We paid $77 for two, including tip. We will definitely be back.

3 Star Rating Yuan’s Hot Pot Richmond Address: Aberdeen Centre, 4151 Hazelbridge Way #2792, 2F, Richmond, BC V6X 4J7 Yuan’s Hot Pot offers a delightful introduction to traditional Chinese hot pot, with a vast selection of skewers and soup bases that cater to a wide range of tastes. For our meal, we opted for a split pot featuring both a tomato broth and a non-spicy soup base, providing us with an opportunity to experience both flavors. Food Tomato and Non-Spicy Soup Base Both soup bases were highly commendable, each offering its own distinct profile. The tomato broth was particularly aromatic, with a rich, savory depth that complemented the fresh ingredients perfectly. The non-spicy broth, while more understated, was delicately seasoned, offering a lighter contrast to the boldness of the tomato option. Both broths provided a flavorful foundation that allowed the ingredients to shine without overwhelming them. Rating: 9/10 Skewers We sampled an array of skewers, including pork intestines, spicy pork skin, black pepper beef, spiced beef (non-spicy), spicy pork tripe, pork kidney, spicy pork tenderloin, beef balls, beef tongue, beef tendon, numbing beef with cilantro, squid tentacles, squid carved sticks, shrimp, cuttlefish, and fish tofu. Each skewer was well-prepared and flavorful, with a good balance of spice and texture across the different options. While the portion sizes were on the smaller side, they were appropriately priced, making the overall experience feel like good value. The quality of the ingredients and variety offered make this a standout part of the meal. Rating: 8/10 Side Dishes We also ordered a variety of side dishes, including a vegetable platter, sliced lamb, sliced beef, and noodle soup with meat sauce. The portions were generous, though the vegetable platter offered limited variety. The noodle soup, however, stood out for its rich, satisfying flavor and was a highlight of the meal. Rating: 8/10 Drink The cilantro lime tea was a pleasant surprise, offering a refreshing and flavorful complement to the meal. It’s a drink I would highly recommend to anyone dining here. Rating: 9/10 Service The service at Yuan’s Hot Pot was exceptional. Our server was both knowledgeable and attentive, taking the time to thoroughly explain the menu and offer thoughtful recommendations. She regularly checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal and even suggested we try the house-made sauces. The friendly and helpful demeanor of the entire staff enhanced the overall experience, making the service one of the restaurant’s strongest points. Rating: 10/10 Ambiance While the overall ambiance was clean and cozy, the experience was marred by the booth seating arrangement. The booths are connected, meaning that when the guests behind us moved, our seats shifted as well. This became a recurring annoyance throughout the meal and detracted from the comfort. Despite the appealing décor and warm atmosphere, this design flaw in the seating arrangement was a notable downside. Rating: 5/10 Price Despite the relatively small portions of the skewers, the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality and variety of the dishes offered. Yuan’s Hot Pot provides a good value, especially considering the rich flavors of the broths and the well-prepared skewers. It’s an affordable option for those seeking a satisfying hot pot experience in Richmond. Verdict Yuan’s Hot Pot delivers a solid dining experience, with well-balanced broths, a wide selection of skewers, and top-notch service. The attention to detail, particularly when refilling the broth with the exact type ordered rather than a generic broth or hot water, sets this restaurant apart from its competitors. However, the discomfort of the booth seating detracts from what could otherwise be an EXCEPTIONAL dining experience. Despite this flaw, Yuan’s Hot Pot remains a highly recommended option, and I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu.

5 Star Rating SURA Korean BBQ, Aberdeen Centre Mall Last visit Jan 2026 dine in (their takeout is also really good) Royal Pork Galbi - 10/10, 5 stars. Absolutely the juiciest, most succulent sweet BBQ pork. I can't recommend it enough. The lunch special portions are smaller, but the dinner sized one, we have leftovers. Seafood Pancake: 9/10, 4.5 stars. Our favourite one overall; some Korean seafood pancakes have crispier batter, some others have more seafood at the cost of batter cohesion. This strikes a nearly perfect balance, and the seafood is perfectly cookedl. Kimchi Fried Rice: my favourite fried rice. Slightly spicy from the kimchi (gochujang) but with beef and a runny fried egg on top. 10/10 5 stars. Sides: in particular, I really like the Sweet & Spicy Gochujang salad, the soy bean curd slices, the sweet soy potatoes (when they have them). When we went, they were running a CNY promotion: 20% off except on the set lunches, 27% off takeout, started Jan 26th. We've eaten here many times, they haven't disappointed yet. With refillable small dishes (anything in the smallest metal bowls + salads) Overall 9.8/10, 5 stars Recommend: everything

4 Star Rating My friend wanted to go Korean BBQ and chose this place to try again from previous experience. We ordered an assortment of foods and honestly while the food was good, I personally can't justify it's higher price point. Had it been more reasonably priced or super outstanding taste, I would give it a 5. Service was pretty standard and could be better if they checked to see if we need to replace the grill as it was getting very black. It would have been nice if they mentioned that there were other small appetizers that came along with our dishes as we suddenly felt like we ordered too much. The atmosphere was pretty decent with moderate noise for acceptable conversation levels. All in all, I would place it a 4 and would consider this place only for special occasions.

5 Star Rating I wouldn’t say this is an authentic Beijing roast duck, but it’s still absolutely delicious. It captures the essence of what makes Beijing duck special—soft, fluffy pancakes, generous strips of scallion and cucumber, and a rich sweet bean sauce. The main difference lies in the duck itself: traditional Beijing duck is usually sliced much thinner, while this place serves it at about twice the usual thickness. But the soul of Beijing duck is in the texture and flavor—lean meat that’s tender, not dry, and a good amount of fatty meat for richness. So even if it’s not entirely traditional, they’ve nailed those two key elements. The duck soup is also excellent, with knife-cut noodles that have a great chewy bite.

4 Star Rating We drove past this restaurant many times and finally had a chance to walk in. It was a bit early for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived after 5 pm. You could imagine it was not crowded yet. Only one table was occupied and another group just arrived right before us. The restaurant felt a bit smaller than expected, but the tables were not packed at all. Walking in, we were offered a small table either at the entrance or at the back, we chose the latter. We were introduced two special dishes of the night and we picked soy sauce chicken. Chicken was very tender and juicy, and it was not too salty as the name might sound. We also ordered a stir fried beef with vegetable in satay sauce. It was very flavourful. Beef was tenderized and slightly fried perhaps. Broccoli was cooked just right. There were also finely chopped onion and pepper that added flavour and texture to the dish. The sauce might be quite oily for those who are health conscious. We were offered free dessert at the end, some Chinese cookie and red bean soup. Surprisingly, service was top notch for a Chinese restaurant. My plate was changed twice by a female server while I was enjoying the chicken. The receipt surveyed a 15% tip and they totally earned and deserved it. We wanted to check out this place for future family celebration dinner for special occasions and this place definitely passed the test. We definitely would love to come back to try more dishes!

5 Star Rating Vancouver Trip Aug 2025🌈 Thanks to my daughter’s friend, we were able to get a table on a Sunday lunchtime with a last minute reservation🎊Dim sum was yummy, generous portions and reasonably priced. We loved the Fried sticky rice, DELICIOUS 😋Booking is highly recommended on weekends, but might still need to wait for a while after arrival. Service was good in general. Highly recommend it.

3 Star Rating Typical dim sum in the area but based on the service, this restaurant wouldn’t be my first choice. The only thing of note on the menu was the abalone siu mai which was very good. The har gow was mediocre compared to other places. The service was not great, the host brought our party of 4 to our table but proceeded to remove a table setting, leaving only cutlery for 3 people. When we asked him about it, he took a big sigh and started acting fussy about how we couldn’t count. When he realized he counted wrong, he brought another set of cutlery back but started slamming the plates and bowls on the table. Everyone else we interacted was fine but I’d rather not return.

5 Star Rating Dim sum in bamboo trays on the average-to-low end. In contrast, high quality made to the order lunch dishes. Ginger chicken steamed bun: 3 pc, small size, dough a little soggy, guessing they steam up factory made frozen buns. Cod fish maw & vegetable in oyster sauce : Very tasty and good portion for the 3 of us! Rolled rice sheet with fish filling : great! Unlike the more common choice of rolled rice sheet with fish paste, this dish has fish pieces and no deep frying involved. Fried rice with diced chicken and salted fish: Great! Good portion. Overall, I have reservation on the quality of their bamboo tray steamed dim sum. I appreciate the flavour in their made-to-the-order items. I had dinner here on the past and I remember it was very flavourful, and they have very attentive servers.

4 Star Rating The food was delicious. A solid Chinese restaurant. The dishes were plated beautifully. Highlights were the bitter melon with scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were creamy and the bitter melon was not bitter at all and the combo paired very well together. The sweet and sour pork had tasty vinegary flavour. The honey garlic spareribs were just the right amount of sticky with nice garlic flavour and the meat was both crisp and juicy. The almond and sesame cookies at the end were superb in flakiness and freshness. The mung bean soup was a sweet finish to the meal. The Peking duck was also great. Just wish they gave a bit more cucumber slices and green onion to top your pancake with. The shrimp and squid with snow peas, sweet and sour pineapple duck, and the fried fish were decent as well but more average in taste. A great place for a family dinner.

4 Star Rating I visited twice as a tourist last week. On Saturday, 2 men only ordered 3 vegetable dishes and 6 bowls of rice 🤣 - carb loading for Vancouver Marathon on May 4th, 2025. Very good service and food quality, particularly the rices. I revisited it on Wed with my family for my favourite food - dim sum. Still very nice service.

5 Star Rating This is my favorite dim sum place. I brought my friends here. Some of them are vegetarian and some of them like the dim sum to be cut into smaller pieces. The waiters are so helpful and they tried to accommodate my friends’ needs. Food are amazing, best steamed shrimp dumplings!

5 Star Rating Checked out this new spot in Aberdeen Square food court yesterday (Friday afternoon), and even though it just opened, there were already tons of people there. The food tasted pretty good, and the $13breakfast is such an amazing deal!

3 Star Rating Located in Aberdeen Square right off the Skytrain. Shared seating area with a few other stalls, essentially forming a mini food court. - The main line-up will be for this stall. Pricing is good for what it is. - however they don't mention charging you for the containers, that they default serve you in, not a big deal, but transparency would be nice. The influencers hyped this thing up like it's heaven on earth for HK cafe style food. - Relax , it's pretty basic stuff? - the highlight would be the eggs, as it was indeed super fluffy and seasoned just right - which some places would not be able to hit this level of fluffiness. In terms of the rest - toast tasted like toast, satay beef noodles tasted like satay beef noodles - maybe even saltier than some other places. The milk tea was hyped to the moon, tasted like any other place , if anything it wasn't as strong as other places. I would come again to explore the menu, but honestly pretty basic stuff in my opinion.
