English Bay and Sunset Beach
English Bay and Sunset Beach are the most popular and accessible beaches in downtown Vancouver.
Who says there are no palm trees in Canada? English Bay Beach, located at the edge of downtown's West End, features not only palm trees but also expansive sandy beaches, beautiful lawns, and stunning ocean views. As Vancouver's most popular urban beach, it's a hub of activity year-round and the city's go-to spot for watching the sunset.

A great beach in Vancouver, with a beautiful stretch of sand perfect for strolling or relaxing. Fantastic spot to watch the sunset over the water, with great views. Can get crowded during peak hours, but is usually not too bad.

I visited during the Firework festival. Very lively place. Huge crowd. Lots of activities around. Probably wanna visit during calmer day and see the beach. Anyway, it's a well organized event with beautiful drones and fireworks. Easy transportation using public transportation. Not sure about parking.
I love the sunset and mountains behind it.

Love this place!!! A beach by the city. Feels free, has a great, relaxed vibe.
Would be 5 star but there's quite a few people ignoring the beach rules that help keep it peaceful and 'everyone- friendly.'
