FlyOver Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 Star Rating

5 Star Rating A Must-Do Aerial Adventure in the Heart of Vancouver! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are looking for a unique way to see the sheer scale of Canada without leaving downtown, Flyover Canada at Canada Place is an absolute must. It is easily one of the best indoor activities in the city, especially when the Vancouver weather isn't cooperating! The Experience The "flying theatre" technology is incredibly immersive. You sit in suspended seats that tilt and dive in front of a massive 20-meter spherical screen. What sets this apart is the multi-sensory 4D experience—you don’t just see the landscapes; you feel the wind on your face, the mist from waterfalls, and even catch the scents of the pine forests and prairies. What’s New I highly recommend the reimagined "Awaken Canada" journey (updated for 2024). The footage is breathtaking, ranging from the remote beauty of Baffin Island and the Yukon to iconic urban shots of the CN Tower. It gives you a perspective on the country’s geography that you simply can't get from the ground. Why It’s Worth Visiting: Rainy Day Savior: The entire 25-minute experience is indoors, making it the perfect escape from a rainy Vancouver afternoon. Prime Location: Since it’s right at the waterfront, it’s a breeze to fit into a day of sightseeing or before catching a cruise. Rotating Shows: They often feature global films (like Iceland or Hawaii) or seasonal holiday themes, so there’s usually something new to see. Post-Ride Views: Pro tip—stop by the Flying Whale Café on-site afterward for some great waterfront views. A Few Tips: While the ride itself is relatively short for the price, the production quality is top-tier. To get the best value, book your tickets online in advance for a discount. If you’re a local, keep an eye out for BC resident rates! Final Verdict: Whether you're a first-time visitor or a local showing friends around, Flyover is a thrilling, beautiful, and deeply moving tribute to Canada's natural wonders.

5 Star Rating I recently went to FlyOver Canada in Vancouver, and honestly, it was absolutely stunning and mesmerizing. The ride itself feels incredibly real, you really get the sensation of flying over some of Canada’s most breathtaking landscapes, like the Rockies and the vast wilderness. The visuals are spectacular, and the effects like mist, wind, and even scents totally make the experience feel immersive and unforgettable. It’s the kind of adventure that’s great for all ages and really shows off the beauty of Canada from a unique perspective. One thing I noticed though is that the pre-show introduction could be handled better. Everyone ended up standing around, which made it tough to see the screen if you’re seated and especially if you’re disabled, you don’t get the best visibility unless you’re right up front. It was a bit frustrating and could be more organized to make sure everyone can see comfortably. But once the actual ride started, all those little issues disappeared. The flight was mesmerizing and completely captivating from start to finish. I highly recommend taking some pictures after the ride at the gift shop to remember the experience. Overall, it was unforgettable and definitely worth doing if you are visiting Vancouver. It’s a perfect mix of technology and storytelling that really brings Canada to life in the most incredible way.

5 Star Rating Overall a great experience. It’s an immersive 4D experience taking you traveling through out Canada, to somewhere you might never have a chance to visit before. Also since it’s located right at the Bay Area, the view is great even when the weather is bad (for me at least, raincouver).

5 Star Rating This ride is the only one of its kind in greater Vancouver. The experience overall (including the mini film inside, lining up, the ride) lasts about 30 minutes, but the actual ride itself is about 10 minutes. My only complaint is the price is pretty steep for an attraction that is so brief.

5 Star Rating Had a wonderful time visiting the Flyover. All the team members are friendly and professional. We did both offerings- Canada and Iceland. It's really amazing to feel like you're soaring through the sky! If you arrive early there's a snack shop and gift shop. Great selection to choose from too. There's also a pic you can purchase to commemorate your visit. Try it next time you are at Canada place. BTW, if you need assistance with accessibility you can easily be accommodated. There's elevators if you have trouble with climbing stairs.
