The burger had enough flavor, buns were toasted right and fries perfectly crispy. I'd recommend you get the fries without seasoning and use your own sauces at the table to dip instead, the Cajun seasoning was too overpowering and salty for me. The restaurant has a retro diner vibe, and it's clean. Our order was messed up though, we only wanted changes made to one burger and instead changes were made to both. The Oreo milkshake is done right, the consistency thick enough and very creamy. You may find it a little sweet though. Overall, 4/5. I would visit again!

I never leave reviews but I had such a great experience at this location!! I’ve always loved fatburger for their quality but the service at this location truly elevated the experience. All the staff were super friendly 💗 they even gave us two extra free burgers to go which was so nice of them!! Been coming here for years and will be back many times for sure.

This place is so welcoming when you come arrive, it’s reminiscent of a Save by the Bell Diner and the employees are friendly and polite. The burgers and fries were cooked to perfection. My favorite spot for burgers is Burger Crush downtown but for Burnaby, this hits the spot. 8/10. The portion of fries is nice. Ingredients are fresh. Highly recommend it here if you are craving a diner burger. 5 stars ⭐️

I visited JOEY for my birthday and had such a lovely experience. Our server, Emma, was truly wonderful. She was managing multiple tables with great professionalism, but still made us feel genuinely cared for. She even went the extra mile to make sure the lettering on my crème brûlée cheesecake was perfect, coordinating carefully with the staff member who was doing the writing. I actually arrived in a bit of a low mood, but her kindness, attention, and friendly small talk completely turned my day around. Whenever we needed anything, she was right there to help or check in. By the end of the meal, I felt really happy and celebrated. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

We had an exceptional experience on New Year’s Eve. The customer service was outstanding and truly made our visit memorable. Our server, Kassidy, was attentive, warm, and highly observant anticipating our needs without us having to ask. When I accidentally dropped my fork, Kassidy immediately brought a replacement. When we mentioned that we were sharing a dish, instead of simply bringing an extra plate, she thoughtfully had the dish divided into two separate servings. These small but meaningful details showed a high level of professionalism and care. The food was excellent, and the happy hour offerings were great as well. We’ve tried several restaurants in the neighborhood, but the service here is truly exceptional. The welcoming staff, great service, and quality food have definitely made us loyal customers. Highly recommended.

This afternoon, I had felt I had one of the most amazing service. I have been to several Joey's Restaurants before, but cannot recall the service being exceptional like today. My friend made reservations and noted that it was for my birthday day. From the time I sat down, I felt spoiled. I received a free birthday champagne, and my friend got one too. I was also given a birthday card and a carnation from Joey's. I ordered their steak striploin, it was a bit on the saltier side and was only able to finish it with "extra" water. We ordered dessert and was given an extra dessert on the house. Our dessert was served on a wooden charcuterie board with Happy Birthday written on it with raspberry sauce. Frieda, our server took so good care of us. Jake, assisted be being attentive of us and took care of our needs when Frieda was not around. I hope these 2 can receive some kind of recognition as I have not receive this type of service in a long time! I will definitely go back and hope to be in their section again!

I had a fabulous birthday dinner here! Food: 5/5 - We kicked things off with some low-alcohol cocktails — a refreshing change for once! I tried the Kiwi Melon Collins while my friend had the Coconut Smash. Delicious, though the Smash could’ve used a little less ice and a little more… smash. For food, we dove into the chicken lettuce wrap and the oven-roasted wild cod. Both were winners, but that sole - Perfection on a plate. And the finale — the molten chocolate cake paired with tropical fruit cheesecake. Pure dessert heaven! The menu here has something for every kind of diner, and everything we tried was a hit. Service: +5/5 - Jake, our server, deserves a standing ovation. He made my birthday feel so special — from a surprise flower, to champagne, to a sample of their amazing cheesecake. Honestly, Jake has been the best server I’ve had in months. Thank you, Jake! Atmosphere: 5/5 - This place has such a great vibe — perfect for celebrations, catch-ups, or just treating yourself. And yes, they take reservations!

I haven’t been to Joey’s for a long time so we stopped by for a quick snack during happy hour. Food was very delicious as always, and I’m glad to see the standard of Joey's is still top-notch!! Big shout out to the hostess Ellie who graciously let us sit at a really nice table by the window. Throughout our time our server Peter was very attentive and kind. Also Isabel was so kind and cordial to swap the deep-fried pita bread to baked. The management team obviously have assembled really excellent staff, as reflected by today’s experience!! Look forward to coming back more often. Sidenote I had a good corporate relationship with Joeys buying tens of thousands of dollars of gift cards over the years from them... Look forward to reconnecting with corporate office to buy more!

One of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had! The ingredients were really good quality, the crust was crispy and tasty, and everything was perfectly cooked. Even the pizza box had a nice design and gave a good vibe. Highly recommend trying it out! 👌

For a quick grab and go, can’t beat this. Tastes best eating it right after they warm it up. Ham and pineapple is the best. I don’t care what anyone says! Even better with the garlic sauce.

M’y daughter ordered me some food and had it delivered via Uber Eats. She lives in Ottawa, Ontario….this was a Xmas / New Years little present 💝 Mighty mushroom burger was delicious! The tomato basil soup was piping hot and delicious (glad the soup was hot ). Salad wasn’t as described but still very festive and tasty. Also got a vanilla milk shake 👌 and a piece of cheesecake 🥰 All in, food was great and I will be visiting in person in the near future!!!

I got the fish and chips, the fish was battered well so it was crispy and not too thick, it really satisfied my craving. Absolute favourite is the tiramisu, delicious, a good balance of bitter espresso and sweet cake. My complaint would be that it was hard to get the staff's attention due to where we were sitting (and maybe the decoration arc). Other than that everything is pretty good

I come here about twice a month for happy hour with my child. The server here is awesome, attentive and very understanding. We usually get pizza and spaghetti. Now to be honest, I find the tomato sauce too sour or tangy for my taste buds but my kid really enjoys it and he can devour a whole plate of this spaghetti. Happy hour 2pm - 5pm menu is pretty decent. Plenty of parking around the plaza. I’ll update a picture of their poutine next time I’m here.

➡️Phenominal💯 sushi restaurant!! ⬅️We stopped in here for a dinner and had THE best sushi of any restaurant we have been in! That is quite a statement but very true‼️(After 4 weeks ago that we went I have heard from a few other peolle that they too thought the food etc was good!) Their attention to detail plating, and serving, their incredible amount of menu choices and flavourful sushi types that we've never seen before✅️✅️ Nice comfortable busy little place, clean, and such good service all around. Prices are VERY fair, portions are generous. We have had Victoria roll, Mango shrimp roll- absolutely delicious! Ohhh my! We had THE best tempura shrimp, their own miso soup was really flavourful, and we had 3 rolls-each one SO good✅️ Even the dipping sauce with the tempura has their own flavour✅️ We WILL be back‼️This is ONE place where you don't feel like all you are eating is rice-this is flavour on the outside- fresh fish, or spinach, coconut flakes etc-oh SO good and the rice wrap is not too thick. Ordered the Deluxe Alaska Dragon Roll. The description says there is salmon inside but as you can see from the photos, there is none. Portion is very small for how much it costs: $16.5, and I’m still hungry after spending $16.5 on this roll. Not to mentioned that I waited for 20 minutes for this tiny roll.

Not a bad place to grab a bite, but could be improved. When I went with a small group for a birthday it took over 20 minutes for us to be able to put our order in for drinks. Music was very loud and it was a bit hard to hear. Some people at the table asked for extra sides but they never came. Convenient access from the sky train station and close to the mall, with plenty of underground parking.

I went to this restaurant last night, we were a group of 17 people, my friend had reserved a table a week in advance, but they didn't give us a good seat, so after about an hour we changed our table, I ordered a smoked burger and my wife ordered chicken spaghetti, white wine,coktail The burger and chicken spaghetti were not tasty at all, my wie didn't eat spagetti, the quality was not good at all. Considering that everyone counted their own food, without our permission they added a tip to the bill , which is about $ 18 for eating only two poor quality dishes, which is not fair at all. They should allow everyone to tip depending on whether they are satisfied or not with the quality of the food. In addition, I told the waiter, I should choose tip not you force me to do it, which was not a good attitude. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

🚨I can now better review this after a few tries🚨 Food: I would say not all foods get 5/5 given I have had better quality foods with the same price range. For example, the Sirloin Steak Frites is very good but not the best I have had or the Tap Snack Burger wasn’t as good as the Fried Chicken Snack Burger which was one of the bests I have had. It was tasting my favourite KFC style chicken burgers but with much higher quality. Atmosphere: the positive side of here is the location and vibe. I like it as it’s well designed for gatherings with friends and spend time, drink and enjoy your time. Parking: You can find plenty here in the underground parking and would be free. Just make sure to register your car. Staff: They are very professional and you get a high standard service here. You may find good options in the happy hour menu if you get there 2-5:30 or 9pm-closure. Overall, here is not my go to place as I can get better quality and higher portion foods in other spots but I don’t mind going from time to time. I think they deserve 4.5/5. 😊

First time here. Receptionist was welcoming; server Alex was friendly, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on the Dine Out Festival Menu. Every item tasted exceptional, especially loved the Romesco Chicken (exotic flavor and tender/juicy chicken breast). Roasted Cauliflower Soup and Pistachio-Cream Donuts (dessert) were memorable as well. Busy but not too crowded/noisy on a Monday night. Glad I came in today!!

This is a great all-around spot for a casual meal or drinks. The space is modern and spacious, with a lively but comfortable atmosphere that works well for both daytime and evening visits. The menu offers plenty of variety from burgers and bowls to shareable plates. Several drinks on their happy hour menu. Service was friendly and efficient, even during busier periods.

They were out of their popular Hot Honey Calabrese Pizza, so instead I got their Fresh Guac & Chips (delicious guacamole with a kick) and Korean Fried Chicken Sliders. So good! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and moist and luscious on the inside. And the sauce in them was so flavourful! I will be back!

Had a wonderful evening at Tap & Barrel with friends. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely top-notch. I was a bit hesitant to come here because parking is a nightmare and this is a chain, but I’m happy to be wrong. This is the epitome of service! We have a young child and they thoughtfully sat us away from most of the tables. The child had some plain kids cheese quesadillas, which were not on the menu, but suggested by the server. B and I shared the Tuna Tartare and the Queso Fundido Mixto, and they were great. The tuna was a perfect blend of spice and acid. Each bite was light and had a bit of crunch and softness. The queso was very rich, salty, cheesy, and fatty- but in a good way. The meat was tender but still had chew. Balanced perfectly with the plain tortillas. Halfway through the meal, B finished his beer and wanted another. He was looking around to find someone, and the bartender noticed, and flagged a server down to take our order. This is what I mean by the epitome of service. When it’s not your job but you’re helping your colleagues out. Took a chance coming here, but so glad we did. We finished with the freshly fried churros and it was perfect. Will definitely return!

La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop 📍 4580 Brentwood Blvd #1210, Burnaby, BC Cuisine Tuna Tartare A beautifully plated starter, this dish featured fresh ahi tuna paired with sesame seeds, soy sauce, olive oil, avocado, cucumber, red onion, jalapeño, cherry tomato, and green onion, served with crispy corn chips. The tartare was exceptionally well-balanced—clean, vibrant, and layered with contrasting textures. The freshness of the ingredients and delicate heat from the jalapeño made it a standout. 10/10 Pollo Con Mole An elegant interpretation of a traditional Mexican classic. The chicken was tender and moist, served beneath a rich mole coloradito sauce that was both unfamiliar and deeply satisfying. Unlike sweeter mole variations, this one carried a subtle smokiness and earthy warmth, complemented by crema, queso, onion, cilantro, and a bold salsa macha. It was an unexpectedly memorable dish. 9/10 Chicharrón Norteño Deep-fried pork belly served with guacamole, red onion, and cilantro. The pork belly was crisped to perfection—crunchy on the outside with luscious fat rendered just right. The guacamole brought a creamy, cooling counterpoint, and the overall seasoning was assertive but balanced. A comforting, flavor-forward bite. 9/10 Camarones al Ajillo Prawns sautéed in guajillo peppers and garlic. A dish that leaned on simplicity, but executed with confidence. A shame, as they likely would have been excellent served fresh and warm. 6/10 Drinks We sampled the Paloma, Tepachito, and Lychee Tequila cocktails. Each drink was refreshing and well-constructed. What a great traditional Mexican food restaurant, nestled in the Brentwood Mall! My daughter and I ordered quesadilla with avocado and quesabirra (the Mexican version of a beef dip). My favorite dish was the quesabirra, a must try for sure. 😋 I took a star away because of the price of a mocktail. 9 dollars for a non alcoholic drink is a bit much! Especially when she said it was a special. Great food! Great service! Mocktail prices need to be revisited!

Santiago provided excellent guidance for food and made my friend’s birthday a very special experience. It was my first time, but I definitely will be back.

First time visit. Decided to grab a few goodies passing by after seeing the reviews. Here was my experience: - Service was friendly but didn't enforce entry/exit pathway causing congestion at the front - Great recommendations as I couldn't decide.. Everything looked really good - Loved the Pistachio Croissant Doughnut (Burst of flavor inside) - Almond Croissant had excellent crunch yet fluffy and loaded with almonds *Staff made a basic mistake of not taping down the cheesecake in the box.. Luckily it did make it home somewhat intact* *Great Overall*

This place has some of the best baked goods I’ve had, but I don’t know how I feel about the rest of the food. I had the Eggs & Romesco on toast and the bread was very hard and difficult to cut into. The taste was okay but nothing amazing. I also got the Strawberry Cloud Matcha, which was decent but not sure how the high quality the matcha powder was. And the strawberry foam was underwhelming, didn’t have much taste to it. The only reason I’ll return is the Brioche Honey Butter Toast, I can easily eat 10 of those - it’s SO good. The Pistachio Croissant Doughnut was also really yummy, the pistachio filling was really creamy with a great flavour. So yes to the baked goods, not really a fan of the other items I had. The coffee looks a lot better, so I’ll try that next time!

The chicken sandwich was really good—I loved it. I also tried the pistachio croissant, which I had never had before, and it was amazing. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We just wish there was a bit more space and seating available. Highly recommended!🥐☕️🥪

Small Victory Bakery never disappoints no matter what location you choose to go to. Their drinks, snacks and food are always consistently tasty and fresh. My favorite is their almond croissant. It is definitely entertainment for your taste buds. Staff are always well prepared, quick and kind.

The atmosphere here is really lovely—such a cozy spot to sit, chat, and enjoy a drink. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant overall. That said, the matcha latte was a bit disappointing. It tasted watery and not very strong, especially compared to places like Starbucks. For an 8oz cup at around $7, it didn’t feel like good value since it was mostly milk. On the bright side, the pastries were excellent. The pain au chocolat and pistachio donut were absolutely amazing and definitely worth trying. Great place for the ambiance and baked goods—would love to see a stronger, more flavorful matcha in the future.

My fiance and I came here for Valentines and they gave us free champagne while we were waiting for our table! We ordered Szechuan dumplings for appies and it was so flavourful! I ordered their black truffle steak and my fiance ordered steak and truffle tortellini. We both really liked our mains. Our server, Alley was great & attentive. We would def come back for more date nights :)

Mariela at the Brentwood Earl's is such a credit to the restaurant. She was attentive and kind, and went out of her way to make me feel better about being stood up by a relative I was supposed to meet. (All the staff were wonderful). Their Dine out Vancouver menu was an extremely good deal, and delicious. They are also very handy to the Skytrain.

Went to Earl’s for a late birthday dinner. Food was delicious. I got the BBQ ribs and Cajun chicken half order. Our waitress Marissa was so bubbly and outgoing. It really made our dining experience awesome. She surprised me with a complementary birthday dessert. I highly recommend this location.

Went with family for dinner on a Saturday evening. Reservation is a must. Great lively atmosphere! We were seated at a table of our choice despite the crowds. Starters, drinks, mains, and desserts all were excellent! Rachel took good care of us. Will visit again.
