This place is so welcoming when you come arrive, it’s reminiscent of a Save by the Bell Diner and the employees are friendly and polite. The burgers and fries were cooked to perfection.
My favorite spot for burgers is Burger Crush downtown but for Burnaby, this hits the spot. 8/10. The portion of fries is nice. Ingredients are fresh.
Highly recommend it here if you are craving a diner burger. 5 stars ⭐️

Ordered takeout, and the food was delicious. Fat Burger serves messy burgers, which I like 👍. The Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken Burger's flavors tasted great - I thought it was an excellent combination of flavor, along with the slaw inside. The XXL Double King Burger is definitely a two-sitting process Burger to eat unless you are very hungry. It was delicious and included very fresh vegetables inside. Fries are plentiful, which was nice. I have no complaints, Fat Burger delivered on producing great tasting burgers.

First time trying Fatburger it was great! My husband and i shared this because we had both already eaten at home but thought we'd come here for a snack. Good amount of meat, toppings and sauce. I enjoyed this very much, the staff were very friendly as well which made this a good experience. I'll be back when i'm in the mood for a burger again! Thanks for this meal!

Thank you Fatburger for a great lunch today! The place is sparkling clean with nice decor (though the outside is unremarkable), and the staff were great.
My Classic Fatburger tasted amazing, and came stuffed with toppings like lettuce, pickles, tomato, and barbeque sauce, all free. The meat is crispy, the fries are hot and fluffy, and their classic milkshakes are creamy and satisfying.
We will definitely be coming back!

I had the most wonderful time celebrating my birthday with family here! This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. From the moment we arrived until we left, the experience was made incredibly special.
Our host was warm and welcoming, and I must give a huge shoutout to our server, Dani. She provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure not only that our orders were perfect, but also that we were having a great time. The food was absolutely delicious as well!
We visited on a quieter Monday evening, which made the ambiance feel extra cozy and memorable. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful birthday card, flowers, and the free birthday dessert Dani brought out for us.
This place is truly perfect for celebrating special occasions, as the staff makes it such a sweet and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it for a date night or a gathering with close friends!

Came by today to celebrate my sister’s birthday and had such a great time! The food was awesome, the vibe was super nice, and our server Zoe was the best!!!! She was so sweet, friendly, and made us feel really welcome.

I had a fantastic experience at Joey’s restaurant today. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our server, Diana T., went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed.
It was a birthday celebration, and they made it extra special by surprising us with a complimentary birthday dessert and drink, which was such a thoughtful touch. I also had a little one with me, and Diana was incredibly accommodating - bringing crayons to keep her entertained and making sure she was comfortable throughout the meal.
The food was outstanding - served at the perfect temperature, beautifully presented, and delivered right on time. I can be quite picky when it comes to food, but everything exceeded my expectations.
Overall, it was an amazing dining experience. The combination of excellent service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere made it truly memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Joey’s, especially with service like this!

This pizzeria looks like many others. But if you want to have a snack of good, not greasy, baked pizza with a good amount of additives, then choose this chain. I tried the pizzeria near SFU and in this place. The result in terms of pizza quality is the same. Good prices and quality. The downside may be insufficient cleaning of the dining room, since there was only one girl working in the pizzeria to receive and issue orders, so there was almost no time left to clean the tables. This time we took 2 medium pizzas (by the way, it is more profitable to take 2 medium pizzas or 2 large pizzas - they have a permanent promotion). For delivery through the site, an extra charge of about 5 dollars.

updated review: Our neighborhood pizza 🍕 shop. We have been going here for 3 years and recently had an issue with the lack of toppings on our pizzas in the past few months. We left a negative and it was immediately responded to and addressed by management. They were very sincere and the offered to credit our entire order in full.
Just having a response from management shows they care about their customers. 5 stars ⭐️
I attached pictures of our recent order. The pizzas are perfect and they always have specials at this location, that make it a quick and affordable.

I come here about twice a month for happy hour with my child. The server here is awesome, attentive and very understanding.
We usually get pizza and spaghetti.
Now to be honest, I find the tomato sauce too sour or tangy for my taste buds but my kid really enjoys it and he can devour a whole plate of this spaghetti.
Happy hour 2pm - 5pm menu is pretty decent. Plenty of parking around the plaza.
I’ll update a picture of their poutine next time I’m here.

I was surprised I'd never been to Ricky's before, considering how many locations they have, but our usual spot across the street wasn't open yet, so we gave it a shot. The place has that classic breakfast diner atmosphere with decent, attentive service. The food didn't exactly blow me away—it was okay. The tomato in my brioche breakfast club was so thick and unripe that it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. However, I noticed they have a Famoso pizza oven on site, and usually great things come out of those, though the items weren't available that early. I might give it another try for that reason, but overall, it's a fair breakfast place—nothing special.

Decent happy hour menu. They make there good fresh and they all come out hot. An ideal place for a bite in the afternoon. The chicken tenders were great, and of good value too.

The food was great but our server was incredible! Dining out with three kids can be a nightmare but our server made sure we were full up on coffee, the kids got their food as soon as it was ready and they even had a prize box for the kids! When offering a refill on juice, she asked me quietly so I could say 'no thank you' without resistance from the kids. To top it all off, as we were leaving, she quietly passed me some fruit snacks for the kids too. Just an all around excellent place!!

Good tasty food with reasonable prices. It gets busy during lunch and dinner times . Choosing their box 1 or 2 order is a great choice. Miso soup wasn’t that tasty for me but the rest of food was great. Their tea was great privilege to drink it while eating.
It’s a nice tiny place at Rosser Avenue but with good Japanese food.

It was a good experience. The host was nice and was quick to greet and seat me. The server was nice and checked in frequently and was ready to respond if needed.
I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla w/ salad. The chicken quesadilla was tasty but would have been better if the jalapeño pieces were sautéed a bit instead of tossed in. It made it look like it was forgotten (might have been). There were very few jalapeño pieces in each pouch, which I didn't mind. To bite a couple of raw pieces with the nice tasting chicken didn't seem to blend together for me. You might like it. After I finished with the brownie. YUM !! and the best part, it was served warm.
It's usually a super busy place, but I lucked out and had a nice seated area to myself. The ambiance is low lounge lighting for a more intimate setting.
I didn't have to wait for my bill, and the hosts thanked me on the way out.

We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at Brown's Social House in Brentwood. The ambiance was pleasant, with just the right level of noise and activity. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. For starters, we had crispy chicken and pickles, which were incredibly flavorful. Our main dishes included blackened chicken with Alfredo pasta and a crispy chicken sandwich. The Alfredo pasta was my personal favorite. Our server was friendly and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for the occasion, which was a lovely touch.

I had the pleasure of dining at Brown Social House and left thoroughly impressed by both the cuisine and the service. I ordered the Butcher’s Block Burger, which featured a perfectly cooked, flavorful beef patty topped with crispy, smoky bacon and crisp, fresh lettuce. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, as each component complemented the others beautifully, making for an incredibly satisfying and well-balanced burger.
What truly set the experience apart, however, was the outstanding service. Erin, our waitress, was attentive and genuinely friendly, making sure our needs were met with efficiency and a warm demeanor. Her professionalism and positive attitude contributed to an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear that Brown Social House prioritizes both the quality of their food and the experience of their guests.
For anyone seeking a combination of excellent service and a delicious, thoughtfully crafted meal, I highly recommend Brown Social House. It’s a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience.

This Tap & Barrel location is very nice as it is brand new. The inside of it is so clean and modern. The waitstaff here is excellent, always checking up on the table and refilling any glasses of water. The food itself was okay. Nothing on the menu really seemed really appetizing or stand-out to me, but to be fair, the food was fresh and of decent price. I went at night, and the place was packed for the happy hour deals. All in all, I had a good time here even though the food was alright.

Tap and Barrel at Brentwood is conveniently located close to transit and entertainment. I had the steak frites and the gyoza 🥟 which were great although I found the steak frites at the Cactus Club to be a bit better. A really fun atmosphere and a good variety of seating as well as some of the best big screen TV's I've ever seen in a restaurant/bar.

UPDATE SATURDAY APRIL 26/2025: Shout out to Lilia(sooo kind and attentive) help secure 12 person reservation for patio for tomorrow but had to sadly cancel bc group lack of commitment. Emma(I think a mgr) was so kind to ensure cancelation. These guys must have been trained for VIP 5 star resort lol
UPDATE WEDNESDAY APRIL 9/2025: Went again today for a quick Bday dinner. Our server Erika was so kind and patient...really another 5 star service experience!!!
UPDATE MONDAY MARCH 24/2025: Just went in for a late night meal and dessert. We were delightfully surprised to have Matt as our server again. He is someone that you would come across at a five star resort...always courteous, and attentive. Tap and Barrel ownership should strongly consider elevating this person to general manager position one day...soon.
UPDATE : Tonight 2nd visit at the brentwood location our server Matt was absolutely first class. Not only attentive but very kind and patient etc. The hostess and staff went out of their way to ensure open patio dining for us due to health concerns. Amazing staff!!!
First time visit. Very blessed to have Tap n Barrel in Burnaby. Top notch service and food. Special shout out and thanks for Sarah(along w mgr Peter) who was so kind and went the extra mile to ensure we can get patio table booked as one in the party was immunocompromised. We weren't very hungry but the food we did order was amazingly good...Definitely will be back!!!

It has an amazing atmosphere and staff are friendly and helpful. I love their Jalapeno margarita (and you can ask them to make it more spicy!) and also the Sinner Man cocktail with it's amazing torched cinnamon smell on its top! To me Burrito was not great but still not bad. Their Taco's are really nice and delicious! Also once we asked them to make Long Island for us which was not on the menu and they did it really well!

La Taqueria @ Brentwood never disappoints! Amazing food… seriously special …. from the fresh ingredients you can taste to the amazing blend of flavours in interesting variations on classic Mexican food. Amazing cocktails and ice cold beer on tap. Servers are all friendly, fast and eager to make you feel welcome, appreciated and content.

I have tried all 3 locations and I never enjoy myself. I think the food is very underseasoned. The shrimp taco is the most delicious. Came today for happy hour and chose the 3 taco for $15 deal. The asada taco was terrible did not have a grilled flavour and had no flavour at all. Definitely needed salt and pepper. I made the mistake of choosing 2 of those instead of 2 shrimp haha. I also got one lengua (tongue) taco on the side because usually in every taco restaurant that is my favourite. It was sliced strangely large and I did not like it at all. I give both beef tacos a 1/5 to be honest, didn’t help that the lengua was $10 for one taco!?!? I would not recommend this place for tacos, however I would recommend the camaron(shrimp) and I will come back just for that at happy hour.

The food was soooo good! I’d go back everyday if I lived closer. Great presentation, delicious food and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was positive and the staff friendly.
The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because I was asked if I wanted cheese and guacamole on my dish and I agreed to it, without knowing it comes at +5$. I’d still have added them to my dish because it’s not a crazy amount of money, but details like this differentiate 5-star from lower rating places. The extra charge wasn’t written on the menu and wasn’t explained to us by the server, it just came in the bill. Unlike other options that came with extra charge and were written on the menu, this one was not.
Again, I’m not complaining about the amount spent, I just personally don’t think this is how it should be.

This place was a little confusing to order. So, the cashier register is at the back of the store, and you need to order and pay there first, then go back to the front of the store to pickup your drinks. It was my first time and I didn't know, but the staff there was not exactly warm and fuzzy to interact with to know how it works. I finally figured it out, but when I got to the cash register, the lady walked away and left me there for a few minutes without saying anything.
However, we ordered a Hojicha and a Matcha latte, both was very good. I didn't try anything else, but I would want to go back and try other stuff, hoping that the next time would be a better experience and I will update.

We popped into Brentwood Mall to hunt for Christmas gifts for family and friends and stumbled upon this cozy café. Since it was raining (and coffee is the ultimate rain buddy), we decided to give it a try. Along with our perfectly balanced lattes—not too milky, not too frothy—we grabbed a pack of their mini croissants. It had almond, butter, raisin, and cinnamon sugar flavors, and let me tell you, they were chef's kiss delicious! The café also has a great seating area and a tempting menu with lots of options we’re itching to explore next time. Rain or shine, this place is worth a stop!

Beautiful weather today, and after a long walk with my dog around Brentwood Mall, I stumbled upon Earls. I had seen their Happy Hour menu online and decided to give it a try—so glad I did!
We sat outside near the big fountain; the atmosphere was lively and relaxing. The server was super friendly, attentive, and brought me a big pitcher of water right away. I ordered the crispy shrimp, tuna sushi tacos, and chicken lettuce wrap.
The food came quickly and everything tasted amazing. The shrimp was perfectly fried—crispy, light, and melted in my mouth. The rice underneath was also cooked just right. Honestly, the quality rivals some top Japanese restaurants. The chicken lettuce wrap was just as good as I remembered from my last visit—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and catch up with friends. Delicious, reasonably priced, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

we came to earls for happy hour to celebrate a friends birthday. she made a reservation online to be sure we'd have a seat knowing it would be busy. we had to wait 15 mins after our reso time before getting seated which was frustrating and what we wanted to avoid.
our server was marissa and she was amazing! she brought out a happy birthday desert after we very casually mentioned we were celebrating which made the whole table light up! she made us feel heard, checked on us the perfect amount, was personable, friendly and gave wonderful customer service.
overall, i'd recommend visiting but be prepared to wait for your table.

I visited Earls during the busy lunch rush and, despite having a reservation, there was a short wait. However, the rest of my experience was fantastic! I ordered the Truffle Tortellini and added prawns—it was the perfect light yet satisfying lunch. Our server, Bianca, was excellent, checking in at just the right times to ensure everything was great. I always go to Earls in Brentwood and it's the only place I go with my friends, because I like the vibe, I always get great service and I can go with my emotional support dog. She's small and terrified of people, but I can't leave without her, and I've always been happy to go to Earls because I put her blanket over the couch and she would sit on her blanket, and they always let me! Plus, they always brought her water and so on. Unfortunately, today my whole perception changed when I waited 50 minutes for a table for one person and their reservation showed it for 5. As soon as I arrived, I asked the host for water for my dog who had been waiting outside with me for almost an hour and the water NEVER arrived! When I sat down, my food arrived before my drink, I didn't take it as a big problem because I thought that since it was a Friday the bartender must be busy, since on Monday of this week when I went too, the drinks were super fast. Then a lady who I believe was the general manager with a terrible approach told me to put my dog on the floor, which was not allowed on the furniture, and I just said: really? I always come here at Earls and they never complained because she is actually sitting on her blanket and not directly on the couch, but that's okay. And she replied by saying that they are the only Earls in Burnaby that accepts pets but they have to be on the floor. (I never asked her this information because I don’t care about other earls when I always go to this one and I thought she was very rude when she told me this even though I didn't refuse to put my dog on the floor). I ended up eating only my salad and a drink and I didn't even eat the sushi or the oysters that I wanted and that I always eat there because my dog was shaking on the floor since they put me in a place that didn't even have a heater. Disappointing experience for someone who always goes there. Other than that, the food and my drink were great as always. And my server, who I believe is called Lucca, was super polite, proactive and tried to offer me a dessert as an apology for the inconvenience when he saw I was really upset but I didn't accept because as I said, my pet was shaking.

We went on a Friday night, the food was delicious and the restaurant has a high quality, however I highly believe the server truly sets the tone for the dinner and unfortunately we didn’t feel properly served. We realized the server wasn’t really enjoying the conversation, would fake laugh and at the end with the bills it felt very mistreated, a bit rude so we left right away. We won’t be going back at Brentwood earls on fridays if that server is working, but we also believe people go through hard moments and he could’ve been going through one so understandable, but for my friends birthday it wasn’t really a celebrating energy. Also the music was to loud and up beat it was very hard to talk and understand each other
