We ordered swiss and mushroom burgers combo and it’s very tasty! Added extra money for milkshakes and it’s so yummy. Service is great! Staffs are efficient and friendly.

This place is so welcoming when you come arrive, it’s reminiscent of a Save by the Bell Diner and the employees are friendly and polite. The burgers and fries were cooked to perfection. My favorite spot for burgers is Burger Crush downtown but for Burnaby, this hits the spot. 8/10. The portion of fries is nice. Ingredients are fresh. Highly recommend it here if you are craving a diner burger. 5 stars ⭐️

Fatburger always hits the spot! The burgers are super juicy and flavorful, and you can actually taste the difference in quality. I usually go for the Mushroom Swiss and it never disappoints!!perfectly cooked beef, loads of mushrooms, and that melted Swiss is everything. Great portions, friendly service, and always made fresh. A solid favorite!

I haven’t been to Joey’s for a long time so we stopped by for a quick snack during happy hour. Food was very delicious as always, and I’m glad to see the standard of Joey's is still top-notch!! Big shout out to the hostess Ellie who graciously let us sit at a really nice table by the window. Throughout our time our server Peter was very attentive and kind. Also Isabel was so kind and cordial to swap the deep-fried pita bread to baked. The management team obviously have assembled really excellent staff, as reflected by today’s experience!! Look forward to coming back more often. Sidenote I had a good corporate relationship with Joeys buying tens of thousands of dollars of gift cards over the years from them... Look forward to reconnecting with corporate office to buy more!

This afternoon, I had felt I had one of the most amazing service. I have been to several Joey's Restaurants before, but cannot recall the service being exceptional like today. My friend made reservations and noted that it was for my birthday day. From the time I sat down, I felt spoiled. I received a free birthday champagne, and my friend got one too. I was also given a birthday card and a carnation from Joey's. I ordered their steak striploin, it was a bit on the saltier side and was only able to finish it with "extra" water. We ordered dessert and was given an extra dessert on the house. Our dessert was served on a wooden charcuterie board with Happy Birthday written on it with raspberry sauce. Frieda, our server took so good care of us. Jake, assisted be being attentive of us and took care of our needs when Frieda was not around. I hope these 2 can receive some kind of recognition as I have not receive this type of service in a long time! I will definitely go back and hope to be in their section again!

We came here for a late dinner and were blown away by the service. Kiana was our server and went above and beyond to make our experience nothing short of amazing. The food was excellent as always, and her attentiveness truly made the evening special. We’ll definitely be returning!

I recently visited Joey Burnaby and had the chance to try the Original Joey Steak. The flavor was absolutely fantastic! The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and seasoned just right. The service was also great—attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere made for an enjoyable dining experience overall. However, I did feel a bit let down by the portion size. While the taste was on point, the serving was smaller than I expected, especially considering the price. I totally understand quality over quantity, but if you're super hungry, this might not be the best spot for you. That being said, it’s still a great restaurant if you're in the mood for delicious food and a nice dining environment. Just be prepared for a smaller plate if you're looking for a hearty meal!

Our server Diana was incredible! From the moment we arrived, she was so warm and friendly, and she made sure we got a great seat. She welcomed us with a glass of house champagne, which was delicious. We mentioned we were visiting from Vancouver Island, and just before we left, she surprised us with a cheesecake that had “Welcome” written on it — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! It truly set the tone for our girls trip and left us in the best mood. Diana is amazing — she made our experience unforgettable.

For a quick grab and go, can’t beat this. Tastes best eating it right after they warm it up. Ham and pineapple is the best. I don’t care what anyone says! Even better with the garlic sauce.

This pizzeria looks like many others. But if you want to have a snack of good, not greasy, baked pizza with a good amount of additives, then choose this chain. I tried the pizzeria near SFU and in this place. The result in terms of pizza quality is the same. Good prices and quality. The downside may be insufficient cleaning of the dining room, since there was only one girl working in the pizzeria to receive and issue orders, so there was almost no time left to clean the tables. This time we took 2 medium pizzas (by the way, it is more profitable to take 2 medium pizzas or 2 large pizzas - they have a permanent promotion). For delivery through the site, an extra charge of about 5 dollars.

updated review: Our neighborhood pizza 🍕 shop. We have been going here for 3 years and recently had an issue with the lack of toppings on our pizzas in the past few months. We left a negative and it was immediately responded to and addressed by management. They were very sincere and the offered to credit our entire order in full. Just having a response from management shows they care about their customers. 5 stars ⭐️ I attached pictures of our recent order. The pizzas are perfect and they always have specials at this location, that make it a quick and affordable. - 2 slices + pop for $8.51+tax Thank you Uncle Fatih’s Brentwood!

One of the best places to get breakfast in Brentwood! The portions are big for pancakes and omelettes and the waitress had us quickly seated during a busy period. Overall a very delicious breakfast and wide selection of options for all times of day.

I come here about twice a month for happy hour with my child. The server here is awesome, attentive and very understanding. We usually get pizza and spaghetti. Now to be honest, I find the tomato sauce too sour or tangy for my taste buds but my kid really enjoys it and he can devour a whole plate of this spaghetti. Happy hour 2pm - 5pm menu is pretty decent. Plenty of parking around the plaza. I’ll update a picture of their poutine next time I’m here.

this place has awful service. i don’t even know where to start. i used to come here and only get famoso food (which is still really good) but the ricky’s is lacking in every aspect. our server was AWFUL. she was in the back the entire time chatting. we had to refill our own water with the jug she left on the bar. my avocado in my salad wasn’t ripe and it was rubber so i couldn’t eat it. and the food took over an hour to come despite us being the ONLYYYYY table. i’m not exaggerating. but the pizzas are really good so i unfortunately will be back. do better.

Ordered the Deluxe Alaska Dragon Roll. The description says there is salmon inside but as you can see from the photos, there is none. Portion is very small for how much it costs: $16.5, and I’m still hungry after spending $16.5 on this roll. Not to mentioned that I waited for 20 minutes for this tiny roll.

My boyfriend and I love this place! We recently move to Brentwood area and Sushi Yoi became are favourite sushi spot (once a week place to go to). We try to order different items on each visit and everything tastes delicious and fresh!

Good tasty food with reasonable prices. It gets busy during lunch and dinner times . Choosing their box 1 or 2 order is a great choice. Miso soup wasn’t that tasty for me but the rest of food was great. Their tea was great privilege to drink it while eating. It’s a nice tiny place at Rosser Avenue but with good Japanese food.

This was a nice place. I realize they're sort of a chain but i find this and the sister location on Main St. to be pretty consistent and at-times fantastic. This has a similar(-ish) menu, some great options. I wish i had ordered a little more food bc the salmon was good, but a little underwhelming portion-wise. I could have almost eaten a second (maybe i was just that hungry). Service was decently-good. Two small notes i wish the diet coke i ordered had more bubbles 🫧 and also (so random, sorry) but the same few sports commercials on a monday afternoon became a bit distracting. I feel like it would be nicer without the sensory overload.

Today our family celebrated three birthdays and decided to do it at Browns Socialhouse. It was the best decision. The food was delicious, and the service from Sam and his coworkers was excellent. One of us is allergic to shellfish, and they prepared her food with all the necessary care to avoid cross-contamination. All 14 of us left very satisfied and will definitely be back.

Had the best time here! Tj the bartender and Sab the manager were absolutely amazing. Ontop of everything the food and drinks were great. They play sound for all the sports games, which is a huge plus for me, especially for what’s going on in this area (joeys). Don’t sleep on the raspberry marg. Absolutely amazing!

It was a good experience. The host was nice and was quick to greet and seat me. The server was nice and checked in frequently and was ready to respond if needed. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla w/ salad. The chicken quesadilla was tasty but would have been better if the jalapeño pieces were sautéed a bit instead of tossed in. It made it look like it was forgotten (might have been). There were very few jalapeño pieces in each pouch, which I didn't mind. To bite a couple of raw pieces with the nice tasting chicken didn't seem to blend together for me. You might like it. After I finished with the brownie. YUM !! and the best part, it was served warm. It's usually a super busy place, but I lucked out and had a nice seated area to myself. The ambiance is low lounge lighting for a more intimate setting. I didn't have to wait for my bill, and the hosts thanked me on the way out.

I went to Tap and Barrel for a family gathering, and it was amazing! The food was delicious and clean — we finished everything without leaving a bite. The location, atmosphere, and view were all great — open and refreshing. One small thing: our server forgot to bring the sauce we asked for, but another passing server brought it right away when we asked again. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back!

This is the first time I was visiting Tap & Barrel. It was my wedding anniversary & I wanted to have a nice meal on the rooftop. I booked a reservation at an open table & put a note about our anniversary. My overall experience was ok especially because of the service I expect from such a restaurant. Otherwise the food was good. We liked Cajun & Moroccan chicken dishes very much. I also ordered zaatar & hummus. The hummus was awesome but there was hardly any zaatar on the pita bread. The waitresses were polite but we expect a little more than regular service like they do in Earls or Cactus Club when we spend good. There's a very short communication at the start & no communication at the end. A happy anniversary note on a dessert would be nice. It's always the last impression of the restaurant that one remembers & for us the bill just handed over.. that's it. Probably this is a good restaurant on a regular day but not for a special occasion like Birthday/ Anniversary or maybe I'm wrong to consider this restaurant for my special occasion. I still gave a nice tip because there's nothing wrong with the service or the waitresses. It's just if they did a little more, it would be a whole lot better. This whole experience makes me not want to visit it again.

Decided to give this place a try. Very cozy seating. The food was really good . They have a decent happy hour menu from 2-5:30 daily. Decent prices. I will definitely come here more often .

Had a great experience at Tap & Barrel Brentwood! The ambience is modern and welcoming, with a beautiful patio that’s perfect for relaxing. Tried the salmon and hummus — both were fresh and tasty. The tap beer was excellent, and the coconut martini was a standout. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend finishing with the sticky toffee pudding — absolutely delicious!

Great time in a great venue. Quick and efficient service, tasty food and large location. It's summer, so the vibe in and out of the restaurant was buzzing. Make reso's to ensure you get in if that's important to you, they are busy for all the right reasons. Meal prices are reasonable but if your drinking, budget accordingly.

I was a bit hesitant to come here because parking is a nightmare and this is a chain, but I’m happy to be wrong. This is the epitome of service! We have a young child and they thoughtfully sat us away from most of the tables. The child had some plain kids cheese quesadillas, which were not on the menu, but suggested by the server. B and I shared the Tuna Tartare and the Queso Fundido Mixto, and they were great. The tuna was a perfect blend of spice and acid. Each bite was light and had a bit of crunch and softness. The queso was very rich, salty, cheesy, and fatty- but in a good way. The meat was tender but still had chew. Balanced perfectly with the plain tortillas. Halfway through the meal, B finished his beer and wanted another. He was looking around to find someone, and the bartender noticed, and flagged a server down to take our order. This is what I mean by the epitome of service. When it’s not your job but you’re helping your colleagues out. Took a chance coming here, but so glad we did. We finished with the freshly fried churros and it was perfect. Will definitely return!

La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop 📍 4580 Brentwood Blvd #1210, Burnaby, BC Cuisine Tuna Tartare A beautifully plated starter, this dish featured fresh ahi tuna paired with sesame seeds, soy sauce, olive oil, avocado, cucumber, red onion, jalapeño, cherry tomato, and green onion, served with crispy corn chips. The tartare was exceptionally well-balanced—clean, vibrant, and layered with contrasting textures. The freshness of the ingredients and delicate heat from the jalapeño made it a standout. 10/10 Pollo Con Mole An elegant interpretation of a traditional Mexican classic. The chicken was tender and moist, served beneath a rich mole coloradito sauce that was both unfamiliar and deeply satisfying. Unlike sweeter mole variations, this one carried a subtle smokiness and earthy warmth, complemented by crema, queso, onion, cilantro, and a bold salsa macha. It was an unexpectedly memorable dish. 9/10 Chicharrón Norteño Deep-fried pork belly served with guacamole, red onion, and cilantro. The pork belly was crisped to perfection—crunchy on the outside with luscious fat rendered just right. The guacamole brought a creamy, cooling counterpoint, and the overall seasoning was assertive but balanced. A comforting, flavor-forward bite. 9/10 Camarones al Ajillo Prawns sautéed in guajillo peppers and garlic. A dish that leaned on simplicity, but executed with confidence. The prawns were plump and tender, while the guajillo imparted a mild smoky depth and the garlic infused every bite with aromatic warmth. 9/10 Churros de Pueblo Texturally, the churros were well-made—crispy on the outside with a soft, doughy interior. However, they arrived noticeably cold, which dulled their enjoyment. A shame, as they likely would have been excellent served fresh and warm. 6/10 Drinks We sampled the Paloma, Tepachito, and Lychee Tequila cocktails. Each drink was refreshing and well-constructed. The lychee tequila, in particular, offered a delicate sweetness with a smooth finish—a clever fusion of tropical and traditional elements. Service The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Staff were knowledgeable and eager to assist without being intrusive. The only misstep was the apparent delay in bringing out the dessert, which may have contributed to its suboptimal temperature. 8/10 Ambiance The restaurant boasts a clean, modern aesthetic with casual charm. What a great traditional Mexican food restaurant, nestled in the Brentwood Mall! My daughter and I ordered quesadilla with avocado and quesabirra (the Mexican version of a beef dip). My favorite dish was the quesabirra, a must try for sure. 😋 I took a star away because of the price of a mocktail. 9 dollars for a non alcoholic drink is a bit much! Especially when she said it was a special. Great food! Great service! Mocktail prices need to be revisited!

Considering it was a Tuesday night, the place was quite busy. The food was great, service was very attentive and the drinks refreshing! Sat at the bar, the bartender was wonderful and very personable. The wait staff was apologetic for the delay in getting our food and had the bartender make us a lovely little beverage. Highly recommend the coconut margarerita while they still have them. The tortilla soup was very tasty but quite a good sized portion. Would go again!

Came for the Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint ✨ The barbacoa sandwich was delicious as well as the mimosas. Would recommend for a girly brunch anytime, and no only that, the service was amazing, Santiago was an amazing server and kept checking on us and being very attentive and easygoing, one of the best servers i’ve had.

Small Victory consistently has tasty baked goods, whether you are looking for sweet or savory. Coffee wise, the yuzu espresso tonic has been go to beverage for warm summer days.

While this place is having good beverages and snacks, there are many people occupying the tables without making any purchase and sitting there forever. They talk loud trying to evangelize Jesus Christ. ‘Hey guys, you are a “great” example to witness your gospel in a negative way.’ The store seems not taking this issue seriously. The real customers eventually not finding a place to sit.

Got their strawberry matcha which was actually pretty good. I wasn’t sure because of the colour but the matcha flavour was good and it wasn’t too sweet with the strawberry. I also got their rose hibiscus lemonde which was nice and refreshing

This place was a little confusing to order. So, the cashier register is at the back of the store, and you need to order and pay there first, then go back to the front of the store to pickup your drinks. It was my first time and I didn't know, but the staff there was not exactly warm and fuzzy to interact with to know how it works. I finally figured it out, but when I got to the cash register, the lady walked away and left me there for a few minutes without saying anything. However, we ordered a Hojicha and a Matcha latte, both was very good. I didn't try anything else, but I would want to go back and try other stuff, hoping that the next time would be a better experience and I will update.

Loved my dinner at Earls! The truffle tortellini was so rich and flavorful, definitely my favorite dish of the night! The vibe was chill yet classy and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I had such a great experience at Earls today! Rachel was amazing — she remembered every detail of our order, checked in at the perfect times, and made us feel so comfortable the whole meal. Her attention to detail and friendly personality really stood out. Also, the clam chowder was absolutely incredible — hands down the best I’ve ever had! Definitely my new favorite. This place is a great option for eating out with friends. The place is excellent, with a good atmosphere, and the staff is very kind and friendly. We had a minor issue with one of the dishes, but our waitress resolved it immediately. I highly recommend it. The sushi steak is delicious, as are the hamburgers and the chicken sandwich. Don't forget to order the pecan pie for dessert.

Went with family for dinner on a Saturday evening. Reservation is a must. Great lively atmosphere! We were seated at a table of our choice despite the crowds. Starters, drinks, mains, and desserts all were excellent! Rachel took good care of us. Will visit again.
