This place is so welcoming when you come arrive, it’s reminiscent of a Save by the Bell Diner and the employees are friendly and polite. The burgers and fries were cooked to perfection.
My favorite spot for burgers is Burger Crush downtown but for Burnaby, this hits the spot. 8/10. The portion of fries is nice. Ingredients are fresh.
Highly recommend it here if you are craving a diner burger. 5 stars ⭐️

Ordered takeout, and the food was delicious. Fat Burger serves messy burgers, which I like 👍. The Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken Burger's flavors tasted great - I thought it was an excellent combination of flavor, along with the slaw inside. The XXL Double King Burger is definitely a two-sitting process Burger to eat unless you are very hungry. It was delicious and included very fresh vegetables inside. Fries are plentiful, which was nice. I have no complaints, Fat Burger delivered on producing great tasting burgers.

Fatburger always hits the spot! The burgers are super juicy and flavorful, and you can actually taste the difference in quality. I usually go for the Mushroom Swiss and it never disappoints!!perfectly cooked beef, loads of mushrooms, and that melted Swiss is everything. Great portions, friendly service, and always made fresh. A solid favorite!

First time trying Fatburger it was great! My husband and i shared this because we had both already eaten at home but thought we'd come here for a snack. Good amount of meat, toppings and sauce. I enjoyed this very much, the staff were very friendly as well which made this a good experience. I'll be back when i'm in the mood for a burger again! Thanks for this meal!

Our server Diana was incredible! From the moment we arrived, she was so warm and friendly, and she made sure we got a great seat. She welcomed us with a glass of house champagne, which was delicious. We mentioned we were visiting from Vancouver Island, and just before we left, she surprised us with a cheesecake that had “Welcome” written on it — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! It truly set the tone for our girls trip and left us in the best mood. Diana is amazing — she made our experience unforgettable.

Our family had lunch at Joey’s. The kids ordered a cheeseburger and butter pasta. The burger was tasty and the fries arrived hot. The pasta was delicious. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl which was full of flavour. We had a good time!

Had the most beautiful evening at Joey’s Burnaby on the rooftop deck. If you haven’t been, you absolutely need to check it out — it’s stunning up there. The setting was perfect for winding down, enjoying a cocktail, and sharing some delicious food. Every bite was incredible, the service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance just made the night feel extra special. It truly was an evening to remember — relaxed, beautiful, and filled with good vibes all around. Big thumbs up from me

One of the most delicious pizzas I’ve ever had! The ingredients were really good quality, the crust was crispy and tasty, and everything was perfectly cooked. Even the pizza box had a nice design and gave a good vibe.
Highly recommend trying it out! 👌

This pizzeria looks like many others. But if you want to have a snack of good, not greasy, baked pizza with a good amount of additives, then choose this chain. I tried the pizzeria near SFU and in this place. The result in terms of pizza quality is the same. Good prices and quality. The downside may be insufficient cleaning of the dining room, since there was only one girl working in the pizzeria to receive and issue orders, so there was almost no time left to clean the tables. This time we took 2 medium pizzas (by the way, it is more profitable to take 2 medium pizzas or 2 large pizzas - they have a permanent promotion). For delivery through the site, an extra charge of about 5 dollars.

updated review: Our neighborhood pizza 🍕 shop. We have been going here for 3 years and recently had an issue with the lack of toppings on our pizzas in the past few months. We left a negative and it was immediately responded to and addressed by management. They were very sincere and the offered to credit our entire order in full.
Just having a response from management shows they care about their customers. 5 stars ⭐️
I attached pictures of our recent order. The pizzas are perfect and they always have specials at this location, that make it a quick and affordable.
- 2 slices + pop for $8.51+tax
Thank you Uncle Fatih’s Brentwood!

Ordered a special online, only to get there and have them say I ordered something else. That's fine, but then they double downed and said I was wrong. I have a receipt that shows exactly what I ordered online and how much it would be.
If you're visiting, don't do an online order. They'll get it wrong and tell you it was your fault.
For more details:
Ordered a $15 specialty pizza + 6pc meatballs + pop online. Went in and told them that was my order, but they told me I had only ordered a Grab & Go special which was the same but without the meatballs.
EDIT: They called, apologized, and offered some compensation for their mistake. I didn’t take it but I changed the review stars from 1 to 3.

One of the best places to get breakfast in Brentwood! The portions are big for pancakes and omelettes and the waitress had us quickly seated during a busy period. Overall a very delicious breakfast and wide selection of options for all times of day.

I come here about twice a month for happy hour with my child. The server here is awesome, attentive and very understanding.
We usually get pizza and spaghetti.
Now to be honest, I find the tomato sauce too sour or tangy for my taste buds but my kid really enjoys it and he can devour a whole plate of this spaghetti.
Happy hour 2pm - 5pm menu is pretty decent. Plenty of parking around the plaza.
I’ll update a picture of their poutine next time I’m here.

I was surprised I'd never been to Ricky's before, considering how many locations they have, but our usual spot across the street wasn't open yet, so we gave it a shot. The place has that classic breakfast diner atmosphere with decent, attentive service. The food didn't exactly blow me away—it was okay. The tomato in my brioche breakfast club was so thick and unripe that it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. However, I noticed they have a Famoso pizza oven on site, and usually great things come out of those, though the items weren't available that early. I might give it another try for that reason, but overall, it's a fair breakfast place—nothing special.

This was a nice place. I realize they're sort of a chain but i find this and the sister location on Main St. to be pretty consistent and at-times fantastic. This has a similar(-ish) menu, some great options. I wish i had ordered a little more food bc the salmon was good, but a little underwhelming portion-wise. I could have almost eaten a second (maybe i was just that hungry). Service was decently-good. Two small notes i wish the diet coke i ordered had more bubbles 🫧 and also (so random, sorry) but the same few sports commercials on a monday afternoon became a bit distracting. I feel like it would be nicer without the sensory overload.

It was a good experience. The host was nice and was quick to greet and seat me. The server was nice and checked in frequently and was ready to respond if needed.
I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla w/ salad. The chicken quesadilla was tasty but would have been better if the jalapeño pieces were sautéed a bit instead of tossed in. It made it look like it was forgotten (might have been). There were very few jalapeño pieces in each pouch, which I didn't mind. To bite a couple of raw pieces with the nice tasting chicken didn't seem to blend together for me. You might like it. After I finished with the brownie. YUM !! and the best part, it was served warm.
It's usually a super busy place, but I lucked out and had a nice seated area to myself. The ambiance is low lounge lighting for a more intimate setting.
I didn't have to wait for my bill, and the hosts thanked me on the way out.

We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at Brown's Social House in Brentwood. The ambiance was pleasant, with just the right level of noise and activity. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. For starters, we had crispy chicken and pickles, which were incredibly flavorful. Our main dishes included blackened chicken with Alfredo pasta and a crispy chicken sandwich. The Alfredo pasta was my personal favorite. Our server was friendly and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for the occasion, which was a lovely touch.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Tap & Barrel Brentwood! The atmosphere is modern and inviting, with a great patio that’s perfect for relaxing. The food was fresh and flavorful — we tried the salmon bowl and hummus, both of which were excellent. Drinks were equally impressive, especially the tap beer selection and the standout coconut martini.
What truly made the evening special was our server, Mary, who was new but delivered outstanding service — attentive, warm, and professional throughout.
Highly recommend finishing with the sticky toffee pudding — rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience that we look forward to repeating!

This is the first time I was visiting Tap & Barrel. It was my wedding anniversary & I wanted to have a nice meal on the rooftop. I booked a reservation at an open table & put a note about our anniversary. My overall experience was ok especially because of the service I expect from such a restaurant. Otherwise the food was good. We liked Cajun & Moroccan chicken dishes very much. I also ordered zaatar & hummus. The hummus was awesome but there was hardly any zaatar on the pita bread. The waitresses were polite but we expect a little more than regular service like they do in Earls or Cactus Club when we spend good. There's a very short communication at the start & no communication at the end. A happy anniversary note on a dessert would be nice. It's always the last impression of the restaurant that one remembers & for us the bill just handed over.. that's it. Probably this is a good restaurant on a regular day but not for a special occasion like Birthday/ Anniversary or maybe I'm wrong to consider this restaurant for my special occasion. I still gave a nice tip because there's nothing wrong with the service or the waitresses. It's just if they did a little more, it would be a whole lot better. This whole experience makes me not want to visit it again.

Great time in a great venue. Quick and efficient service, tasty food and large location. It's summer, so the vibe in and out of the restaurant was buzzing. Make reso's to ensure you get in if that's important to you, they are busy for all the right reasons. Meal prices are reasonable but if your drinking, budget accordingly.

I visited with family for lunch.
First the positives:
The staff were pleasant, and knowledgeable about the drink selection. They were attentive and cleared used plates promptly.
The actual drinks were fairly nice and varied.
The food wasn’t very good. I ordered friend chicken & mac because I felt like something a bit heavier. The mac and cheese was half dry and not sauced, had half solid greasy cheese, lukewarm noodles and the accompanying fried chicken was 70% coating 30% chicken. The coating slid right off of the chicken as soon as I jabbed it with a fork. The third picture is the fried coating without the chicken. The calamari was a bit better but bland.
The restaurant is very comfortable to hang around and aesthetically nice though.

We visited this restaurant today and were told the wait would be 20–30 minutes — even just for the bar even tho a lot of tables and places were empty. The entry was a bit confusing, with people who arrived after us being seated before us, and the host seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Definitely not the smoothest start.
That said, the server was lovely, and the food was worth the wait. The corn tacos were amazing — super traditional and full of flavor. The beef tacos were a little dry, but the corn, fish, chicken, and carnitas tacos were all excellent.
Authentic Spanish food, flavorful, and worth a visit — just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We’ll definitely come back! 🌮🇪🇸

They already had me at Margarita!
Brentwood is buzzing as it should be with all the shops, restaurants and just vibes in general. This place is no stranger to it. Out on the square it is very hard to miss.
We went there for the food but landed up enjoying the happy hour actually. The house margarita, absolutely divine (tasted like juice!) and it comes in this stunning claypot glass. Amazing.
I ordered the trio tacos. One prawn, one veg and one chicken. The prawn outshone the others. The flavours mixed together so well! The veg one was ok and the chicken was good.
The servers are very welcoming and are able to answer any questions. They are busy though, so be prepared for that. But I definitely think the happy hour is worth it for sure !
All in all I would go there again to try something else !

This place was a little confusing to order. So, the cashier register is at the back of the store, and you need to order and pay there first, then go back to the front of the store to pickup your drinks. It was my first time and I didn't know, but the staff there was not exactly warm and fuzzy to interact with to know how it works. I finally figured it out, but when I got to the cash register, the lady walked away and left me there for a few minutes without saying anything.
However, we ordered a Hojicha and a Matcha latte, both was very good. I didn't try anything else, but I would want to go back and try other stuff, hoping that the next time would be a better experience and I will update.

We popped into Brentwood Mall to hunt for Christmas gifts for family and friends and stumbled upon this cozy café. Since it was raining (and coffee is the ultimate rain buddy), we decided to give it a try. Along with our perfectly balanced lattes—not too milky, not too frothy—we grabbed a pack of their mini croissants. It had almond, butter, raisin, and cinnamon sugar flavors, and let me tell you, they were chef's kiss delicious! The café also has a great seating area and a tempting menu with lots of options we’re itching to explore next time. Rain or shine, this place is worth a stop!

I’ve bought coffee here three days in a row. Taste-wise, it’s actually pretty good, probably the best I’ve had recently. The biggest problem, though, is the service. I came to grab a coffee to go, but what I saw was four staff members standing around the bar area, chatting with each other while orders kept piling up on the screen. Instead of focusing on making drinks, they were casually talking and moving at a very slow pace. It wasn’t even during a busy time, yet I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes for just one cup of coffee.

I went to Earls during happy hour on a Sunday. The food was great and reasonably priced—no complaints there. I also ordered their signature Caesar, which was supposed to be $2 off on Sundays (regularly $13).
When the bill came, I noticed it was charged at the regular price. I pointed it out to our waiter, but he said the pricing looked correct and didn’t double-check. It’s not about the $2—it’s a small amount and I wouldn’t have asked for it back anyway. In fact, I would’ve been happy to add it to his tip.
What stood out to me was the lack of initiative to verify a guest’s concern. I later mentioned the issue to another server—not to get the bill adjusted, but just so they’re aware and can avoid overcharging other guests.
Overall, it was still a good experience, but good customer service sometimes means taking that extra moment to check.

We had a really nice experience at Earls Brentwood. The vibe was lively and welcoming, the service was attentive, and the food quality was excellent. At first, our reserved table for 5 was a bit too small, but when we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly arranged a better table for us right away. That thoughtful service made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend for both food and atmosphere!

Beautiful weather today, and after a long walk with my dog around Brentwood Mall, I stumbled upon Earls. I had seen their Happy Hour menu online and decided to give it a try—so glad I did!
We sat outside near the big fountain; the atmosphere was lively and relaxing. The server was super friendly, attentive, and brought me a big pitcher of water right away. I ordered the crispy shrimp, tuna sushi tacos, and chicken lettuce wrap.
The food came quickly and everything tasted amazing. The shrimp was perfectly fried—crispy, light, and melted in my mouth. The rice underneath was also cooked just right. Honestly, the quality rivals some top Japanese restaurants. The chicken lettuce wrap was just as good as I remembered from my last visit—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy good food, and catch up with friends. Delicious, reasonably priced, and excellent service. Highly recommended!
