My family and I enjoy visiting Hokkaido Ramen Santouka on West Broadway in Vancouver. Reminiscent of my travels through Hokkaido and the Ainu village. Interesting ramen flavors change seasonally. Happy hour and combo specials available.

I ordered a combo set. I like the soup base, the pork belly is good, different texture than other ramen house, not melting soft, but tender. the little bowl of rice is ok. I would just ordered a large bowl of ramen next time.

Great ramen spot! You can choose between a small or large size, and there are options for individual bowls or combos — though I don’t think the combo saves you much. I really liked the ambiance: not too loud, not too quiet. Service was good, and the ramen tasted great. The only thing is the chashu could have been a bit more tender. If you like spicy food, you can ask the server for their chili pepper — it’s worth trying!

Not busy when I went. Went around 3pm. Fries were cooked perfect. Not raw, perfect crisp. Salted perfectly. Gave ketchup on the side didnt even have to ask. Pop was good. Not flat unlike some fast food places. Burger was good, they went heavy on the mayo so keep that in mind if you like it lightly spread. Other than that it was good and I think ill be back.

I had a ok experience at Fatburger on Broadway and ordered a cheeseburger with chili fries. The cheeseburger was good overall, but the beef patty itself did not seem to have much seasoning. It felt like the flavor relied mostly on the toppings rather than the burger patty. I think seasoning the patty a bit more would make a noticeable difference and really elevate the burger. The chili fries were enjoyable, but the fries could have been cooked a little longer. Making them extra crispy would help prevent them from getting soggy once the chili is added, which would improve the texture and overall experience. All in all, it was a solid meal and worth trying once. I don’t see myself coming again and I would have expected slightly better execution given the reputation. With a bit more attention to seasoning and crispiness, this location could be much better.

Yummy burger and great service! We came out of a physio and wanted something quick and this place was the closest food place. Turns out this was also the best burger and quickest service ever! Thank you, will come back again!

We book a big table for a group of 15 people, to celebrate 3 of my friend's birthday, they gave us a big room, so generous it's feels like a private room. The food were fantastic, and service were great. On top of that they did the extra job by serving the birthday cake with extra small plates. What a great professional service. The only drawback for us was there were very limited paid parking on the street. So I guess it'll be depend on what day and time , but Sunday lunch time was quite busy time. Anyway, thank you so much for your kind and friendly service, keep up the good work.

I order the lettuce wraps pretty consistently at this location and the Granville/broadway location, as they are both very close to my work at VGH. This Ash location seems to be inconsistent with this specific meal. Today I received my lettuce wraps, except only 1 piece of lettuce was actually usable for a wrap. This happens at this location more than not, it’s disappointing when I have to turn my meal into a salad. I attached photos of the lettuce I was supposedly meant to use for the wraps. If I wanted a salad. I would order a salad 😢

We called on a Friday afternoon at about 1:30. There was a great bustling atmosphere with a lot of workers out for lunch. Staff were very friendly and we were lucky to be seated without a wait. We noticed other people arriving shortly afterwards had to wait approximately 10 mins on a table. I went for the Thai Chicken curry with rice. The waiter asked if I wanted a half or full breast, I went for the full breast. I have been here a few times and was slightly confused as I have never been asked whether I wanted half or full breast, there is an additional $7:50 on top of the menu price if you choose a full breast, which isn’t mentioned in the menu pricing. Maybe it’s a new thing but the staff should inform the customer of the additional cost as the Menu doesn’t. Food was served and was excellent and delicious as always. This is a very well run restaurant/bar and the staff are very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place, just be careful of add ons.

Amazing food and ambience. Service was a tad slow. We asked for extra cutlery when the third person joined us but it never came. The server came with the credit card machine almost twelve minutes after we got the cheque. The server was polite and apologised for the long wait

The shio ramen was ok and clear broth but a little salty. Prices are higher than average. Noodles are pretty firm and chewy. The service and atmosphere is nice though! Overall, nice to try the chicken base ramen but wouldn't purposely go again.

Got recommendations from a fellow Japanese friend. For an appetizer, I started with zuke salmon, a sashimi salmon with a well-marinated sauce. It was refreshing and umami. For the main course, I picked kotteri shoyu ramen. The taste was okay; however, I didn't like the cut of their pork belly cha su; for me, it needs to be thinner. For the drink, I ordered a warm sake, which is perfect for warming up your body on a chilly Vancouver fall day.

New to the area and have been searching for a regular ramen spot for the rainy days(& sunny ;) ). Came to Menya Raizo on a whim and a prayer and found exactly what I was looking for! The soup was delectable, the staff were pleasant and the speed out of this world! Soup was hot and the bowls were filled to the brim! Gyoza, mind blowing! So fresh and succulent. May as well have butchered the pig in the back! Pitchers of Sapporo flowed like waterfalls in a Kyosai woodcut, will return. Until then, I will be ronin.

Literally sitting in the resturant as I write this. The food was unbelievably good- I ordered the quesabirria and my boyfriend got the pescado burrito and they were perfect. The service was amazing- super kind people and so so fast!! I swear we only waited like 5 minutes for our food. I recommend trying the Jamaican Agua Fresca, one of the employees suggested mezcal in it too! So so good. Will be coming here again soon!

Cool authentic Mexican food with a fine dining side and a very casual side depending on your mood and budget. Tacos are delicious. I had nachos. Very good but rich. Margaritas were good but I didn’t enjoy the flavoured salt rim.

I’ve been visiting the Comedor and La Taqueria for the past 6 or 7 years. Their tacos, salsas and drinks are delicious. The staff is always friendly and go above and beyond and make every visit special. As a Mexican who has tried many other taco spots in town, I keep recommending El Comedor. It offers the best value and the tastiest tacos hands down. I also give 5 stars because they frequently seek feedback and make adjustments based on customer suggestions. I've never been disappointed in all these years. You should have seen this place during the world cup!

Crazy! This dish was so nourishing AND super tasty! High quality ingredients cooked with care. A fresh beef broth with a marinated egg and a cheesy beef taco…. Mmmm. They split this place up to a day spot and an evening spot that features quality cocktails and proper Mexican cuisine. Always impressed with this buisness. BIG PATIO TOO! Enjoy 👌

I’ve been coming to La Taqueria for years, and it never disappoints. My favourite is the fish taco—it has the perfect balance of crispy fish, fresh toppings, and delicious sauce. Their happy hour deals are also fantastic and make it an even better value if you can stop by at the right time.

What an incredible breakfast experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They even had coloring sheets for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable for our family. We ordered the French toast, pancakes, and the truffle Eggs Benedict, and every dish was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that their chicken and beef are halal, making it an excellent choice for halal diners. Easy parking as well. To top it all off, we were excited to learn that Yolks has recently opened in Toronto as well, so we’ll definitely be visiting again when we’re back home. Highly recommended!

This place’s breakfast was phenomenal! We got here at 10am and were thankfully seated immediately. We ordered the I Want It All, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffles, and 3 beignets. Got our food within 10 minutes and enjoyed it a lot. Their cinnamon bun pancakes were so soft and filling. I had their ketchup along with my tater tots as well and have to say that was the best ketchup I’ve had. Only qualm I had at Yolks was the fact that one of the washrooms did not lock. Aside from that, this is a place I’d come back to try the rest of their menu.

Tried Yolks for brunch and, overall, it was just an average experience. The chicken and waffles were okay, but nothing particularly special. The rest of the food was fairly average as well, and I didn’t feel there was anything that really stood out. The drip coffee was probably the biggest disappointment. It tasted quite sour and was honestly not enjoyable. It’s not a bad spot for brunch, but with so many great brunch options around, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

The best Egg Bennies I've ever had, also the best most perfect poached eggs. When they say they are perfect they are not kidding around! Its not cheap but what is these days? Its not overpriced for what you are getting.

I made a takeout order so my review is just regarding the food itself. I ordered the Las Vegas Roll, Sweet Mango Paradise Roll, Crunch Cali roll. The rolls here were just ok, especially given Vancouver standards and considering the higher price ($8.95 for California roll). There definitely wasn't any fresh mangos on top of the Sweet Mango Paradise roll as described, only a slightly sour mango sauce, ebi, and tobiko which made the roll taste more mildy sour and not sweet. The Crunch Cali roll is a deep fried California roll but wasn't well executed and was somewhat bland. The Las Vegas roll was probably the better roll out of the three. Probably due to the sauces that weren't even drizzled on the rolls consistently. I'm sad to say there are genuinely better versions of these rolls elsewhere.

Even though the place was quite full when we entered, we were seated right away and the service was quick and efficient. We ordered quite a bit and got our food much faster than expected. The sushi tasted fresh, not too much rice. We ordered some rolls that were not as common and were pleasantly surprised at the balanced and refreshing flavor. The prices were not bad either! So happy we found this place behind all the construction in the area!

Fri, 12-05-2025 $20.95 tax incl. make your own bowl - Atlantic salmon & albacore tuna. ~Good poké, nothing special or worth complaining about. However I will say that it would be nice if the staff in these restaurants that make your food from the ingredients in front of you could wear masks to prevent spit from getting on the meal. I would be completely ok with having to strain a bit to hear what they’re saying, instead of having to eat food with stranger’s spit in it.

Their Coast bowl is my go-to! The salmon is always so fresh and the toppings/sauces are so tasty. I noticed they make everything in house including all their toppings (ie no canned fruits etc) and they also chop fresh avocado for my bowl every time :) They have daily rotating specials too.

We ordered delivery and omg, it was amazing! Fresh fish & fresh fruit, big portion, really nice sauces & crunches, no "cheating". We did our own bowls and both were super happy. Will definitely order again!

The space is quite small but cozy and clean. Aesthetic calligraphy on the wall, which is perfect for those who like taking photos. Staff is nice and friendly. All ingredients look fresh and delicious. I got one Cascade as the staff suggested, and it tasted amazing. Also added some fried garlic and sesame seeds on top. Love how everything mixed together so well.

I got the house combo (non-veg one) which was great value (see photo) for dollar but food was mid. I would be happy with slightly better quality for slightly higher price. At this quality level I couldn't eat this daily for lunch (if I worked nearby). But if you need to cater a large party it's passable.

Been coming to Sushi Dragon for years and it never disappoints, stopped in on a weeknight around 7 a couple weeks ago and got seated right away even with the place packed. The chef's special roll with torched salmon on top was easily the best thing I've had there, rich but not overly heavy. Staff remembered my usual order which is a nice touch after so many visits. Still my go to spot in Vancouver for sushi and worth the wait if you go on a weekend.

It's a bit sad to see so many empty seats during a Saturday lunch. That said, the restaurant actually exceeded my expectations, especially considering its price point. The presentation is decent, but the food tastes much better than it looks. The rice is lightly seasoned and complements the fillings well. The portions are generous—I couldn't finish mine. The filling-to-rice ratio is excellent, so every bite feels satisfying rather than being mostly rice. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be a place I'd visit regularly.

Went to Sushi Dragon for takeout and had a great experience. I let them know we were celiac and needed everything to be gluten-free, and they were extremely helpful. When ordering the platter, I also mentioned a shellfish allergy, and they were very accommodating with substitutions for shrimp and scallops. The food tasted fresh and was very flavorful. They even had gluten-free soy sauce available, and the staff were friendly while I waited. Overall, it was a lot of food for the price. Would definitely go again.

This is located in the Food Fair so atmosphere is food fair. The food is a lot. Picture is half of what’s left from lunch.. Typical Cha Chan Tan menu. They also have Party Trays. While waiting for our food, we saw different groups picking up their party trays. We waited for about 10 minutes for the food to be ready which is reasonable. If you park at the mall, you can get your parking stub stamped for 90 minutes.

Pan fried beef noodle is all time favorite. They cook to order and the food came out hot and fresh. Good portion size, fair amount of tender beef slices. Even the bean sprout and the green onion were cooked crispy. So satisfied after the lunch！

This is the best baked pork chop rice in Vancouver, it happens to be in a foodcourt of iCafe that used to be a restaurant on Broadway. Their milk tea is solid and they have lots of options for Afternoon Tea. You can get your parking validated for an hour.

I like this food court especially before either gets busy. Ordered baked pork chop rice Hong Kong Style. Delicious and generous portion, a thick piece of meat. The milk tea was flavourful. Thank you for the satisfying lunch. Note: Personal preference, the aluminum container was very hot that got out from the oven.. I'm sure they've cooled it down before handing it out. I would suggest to use wooden fork and knife. They provided plastic.

My new favorite place when craving for Hong Kong style cafe food without going to Richmond! Although it is in a food court, the quality and portion are great! More reasonable price, and better quality than Vancouver Chinatown. It is worth taking a few Skytrain stop to come here. Next time, the classic baked pork chop rice!
