I got the crispy chicken sandwich and it was surprisingly not bad. Chicken wasn't too dry at all and the chicken was crispy. I felt like it did need more sauce though. The burger was so big I had to take half of it home. The fries tasted like McDonald's which I didn't mind at all. Crispy fresh and hot
Ambiance is your usually cactus casual formal atmosphere. Servers were nice and fast.
Good for business lunches

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend when visiting a conference at Vancouver.
Me and my wife we liked the food and the mixed drinks.
The red Thai chicken curry was very delicious and was between the best I have every had. Will definitely go there again.
The only warning I have is for restroom that are located one floor up.

What a fun place! The atmosphere is a super cool vibe. I worried it might be too loud but, once seated, it was a comfortable buzz in the background.
My friend had the Med Bowl with falafel and this amazing beet hummus.... So good! I had the Red Thai Curry with chicken and it was just as good. We shared the schewzan beans and sweet potato fries. I left there full and happy.
Be sure to visit! The staff is friendly and attentive and we got seated right away without a reservation. All around pleasant experience. I'll be back for that med bowl!

Cactus Club never disappoints when you’re looking for the perfect mix of delicious food, creative cocktails, and a stylish atmosphere. 🌟
From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive. We tried a few cocktails and each one was refreshing and unique 🍹✨ – definitely a highlight of the night.
For the main course, we had the steak, and it was cooked exactly to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables 🥩🥦. Every bite felt like pure comfort and quality.
The ambiance is chic and cozy, with warm lighting, great music, and a lively vibe that makes it ideal for both date nights and celebrations with friends. 🕯️🍷
✅ Creative and tasty cocktails
✅ Perfectly cooked steak
✅ Attentive and professional service
✅ Beautiful atmosphere for any occasion
Highly recommend for anyone looking for an evening that combines quality, flavor, and style.

This is definitely one of the busiest Cactus locations in town, and it lives up to the reputation. We sat on the patio and loved the lively atmosphere – perfect for people-watching and enjoying the downtown vibe. Despite the crowd, service was quick and friendly, and the staff handled the rush really well.
Food came out fresh and consistent with what you’d expect from Cactus – tasty, reliable, and well-presented. Drinks were also great. It does get busy, so expect to wait at peak hours, but overall it’s a solid spot, especially if you want that energetic downtown patio experience.

This was my first time at Shabusen, and I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical about the whole AYCE (all-you-can-eat) concept in Vancouver. That skepticism disappeared quickly.
From the moment we walked in, the service stood out. Every staff member—from the host to the food runners—was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. No rushed attitudes, no frowns. They even swapped out our BBQ grill without us asking, which was a nice surprise. Food came out fast, and empty plates were cleared away efficiently, keeping our table fresh and uncluttered.
I originally came here just for the salmon sashimi, but ended up trying a wide range of dishes—and loved them all. The quality of the food exceeded expectations, and the variety made it even better.
If you can, I recommend coming for dinner. The price is a bit higher, but you get nearly double the menu choices compared to lunch, making it well worth it. Definitely a spot I’d return to.

Shabusen is one of my favorite spots, whenever I’m craving sushi and BBQ.The BBQ pork here is seriously amazing, super juicy and flavorful. Every time I come, I can’t help but order way too much of it because it’s just too good. The sushi rolls are fresh and packed with flavor, and the sashimi is buttery and melts in your mouth.Everything always tastes so satisfying.Even when it gets busy, the service stays friendly and fast, and the food keeps coming without too much wait. If you’re looking for a place that has a good mix of fresh sushi, sashimi, and BBQ, I definitely recommend this place. Always hits the spot!

The quality of the meat wasn't the best but it was expected since it was an AYCE restaurant. The kimchi was a little too sweet, and the quality of the sushi wasn't great either. The menu wasn't very clear that some food items only come out as 1 piece per quantity ordered, and service was so-so.

Great place for all you can eat, unlimited order but please do not have left over you will get extra charge for that. Enjoy the food with your friends.

Decent AYCE Sushi and KBBQ restaurant among the crowd of nearby restaurants. Service was good, though at times we would have to get our servers' attention rather than having them periodically check up on us. The food itself was good. The sashimi was pretty fresh, and the cuts of meat were delicious. Though, the sushi was a bit bland and boring - primarily the Dynamite Roll. All in all, Shabusen is one of the better AYCE options in Vancouver, and definitely give the AYCE dinner option a try.

We had an amazing dinner at Coast and totally enjoyed lobster night! It was delicious and we highly recommend the fresh pasta with the lobster. We also loved our server, Peter. He was amazing. Felt like we were with a best friend! His menu recommendations were perfect as was his service. Made our night! We also loved the vibe and atmosphere. A great experience!!

My husband and I went to Coast for our anniversary dinner, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We had made reservations in advance and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. To our surprise and delight, the staff had a lovely card waiting on our table wishing us a happy anniversary — such a thoughtful touch!
Our server, Peter, was amazing. He was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive throughout the evening. He even thanked us for choosing Coast to celebrate such a special occasion and surprised us with complimentary glasses of champagne — such a generous gesture.
For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and crab cake, and both were absolutely delicious. For our mains, I had the Hokkaido scallops and my husband had the Branzino. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.
We finished with the apple caramel cheesecake (so good!), and to top it all off, Peter brought out an additional complimentary dessert to celebrate. We truly felt so well taken care of.
We've been to Coast many times before, and it's always the incredible food and outstanding service that keeps us coming back. This visit was extra special, and we’re already looking forward to our next one!

This is hands down one of my favourite spots in Vancouver! The food is always fresh and delicious, the drinks are on point every time, and their happy hour is an absolute must. The patio has such a great vibe and the team here is incredible, from the amazing manager, Mohit, to the friendliest servers and staff. After years of visiting, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience.

We had an excellent experience at Coast! Stephen was incredibly attentive and provided excellent service throughout our visit, he really made us feel taken care of.
The oysters were small, but absolutely amazing, especially during happy hour, definitely a highlight. The calamari is another favorite; perfectly cooked and not too starchy, which we really appreciated.
The ambiance was fantastic: chic, lively, and perfect for a nice night out. Overall, a wonderful dining experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We got scallops and branzino for mains it was absolutely amazing. Best risotto I’ve had in Vancouver so far.
Crab dip was great, we would’ve enjoyed it more if it was pipping hot.
Would definitely come back!

Food was mediocre as best, we ordered the 20oz dry aged steak and asked to be in medium. It was super charred on the outside and dried, looked like it was deep fried on the outside than grilled. Super disappointed but server said it’s normal for Hy’s as they wood charcoal their steaks. But let me tell you, I have not tasted a $200 steak this bitter and dried. Cesar salad, cheese toast, desserts are average at best, we booked for a birthday celebration and received no complementary desserts. Overall, I wouldn’t come back again as the quality of food is comparable to Joey, cactus club and earls but they charged a high premium.
M - 2 weeks ago
Cheese toast lacks the taste that it used to have. Ahi Tuna was terrible. Escargot was less than mediocre. Caesar salad was too salty. Porterhouse was the only saving grace of this meal. Cheese cake tastes like something from a package. Will not be visiting this restaurant anytime soon.
Winson - a week ago
I ordered the ribeye Chicago style, rare, with a Caesar salad and it was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly — beautifully charred on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, exactly the rare doneness I was hoping for. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and showed off the quality of the beef.
The Caesar salad was a highlight as well. Made tableside, it was crisp, creamy, and balanced with just the right amount of garlic, Parmesan, and anchovy. A perfect start before the steak.
The combination of top-notch ingredients, expert preparation, and classic presentation made this one of the best steakhouse meals I’ve had in Vancouver. Absolutely worth 5 stars.

Visiting here with a friends who were in town was an absolute treat. From start to finish, the experience felt upscale, classic, and indulgent — exactly what you want for a special night out.
We kicked things off with a spread of seafood appetizers; there was a freshness to everything that set high expectations for the rest of the meal. The prawns in the prawn cocktail were firm and sweet, and every bite reminded me seafood done well is all about balance. We also tried the cheese toast — rich, gooey, indulgent — it warmed us up for more.
For my entree I went with a surf and turf, and wow, did it deliver. The steak was cooked to perfection — juicy, flavorful, and the crust had that satisfying sear. The lobster side was excellent too; tender, sweet, and paired beautifully with drawn butter. My friend ordered a Beef Wellington and was similarly impressed: generous cut, cooked just right, with good seasoning. The sides complemented the mains well, nothing clashed, and everything felt well thought-out.
Service here deserves its own praise. The staff were professional, attentive and polished. They knew the menu well and were patient with questions. The ambiance reinforces the fine‑dining feel — dark woods, refined decor, comfortable lighting — creating an atmosphere that’s formal but not stuffy.
Dessert was one of the highlights. I had the bananas foster which was done tableside. The presentation itself was almost ceremonial — the flames, the caramelized bananas — but more importantly, the taste matched the drama. Sweet but not overwhelming, creamy, with that caramel‑and‑rum finish that makes you pause and savor. Truly memorable.

Old world charm with delightfully relaxed service. Andrew was fantastic our entire meal, expertly preparing our table side dishes of choice (Caesar salad and bananas Foster), and offering great conversation and trivia throughout. Everything we ate was excellent, but the service was the real star here. A very special night out we’ll be sure to repeat!

Went to Hawksworth for our anniversary dinner and had a great time. Portions were solid for the price. We started with the mussels (really good), then had the pork & scallops and lamb chop for mains — both were excellent. Tried the cabbage and mushroom sides, but they were both so salty — would skip sides next time and go for another appy or main instead. Finished with the Basque cheesecake, which was just okay (not as good as the ones we had in Spain recently). Service by Lou was friendly and attentive, and we got complimentary bubbly to celebrate. Would definitely go back, just order a bit differently next time.

My boyfriend and I went to Hawksworth to celebrate our anniversary, and we had such a wonderful experience. The rib eye and veal steak were absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavour.
Special shoutout to our server, Jenna, who was exceptional throughout the night. Due to some circumstances, she had to move our table, but she was so attentive and generous that we weren’t bothered by the change at all. Her thoughtful service made our night even more special. Loved everything about the evening, we’ll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Hawksworth last night and overall, it was a nice evening out. A few of the dishes were larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given the price of dining out these days — always nice when it feels like you’re getting some value.
That said, my main — the veal cutlet — was unfortunately overly salty. And I tend to like my food on the saltier side, so for me to say it was too salty really means something. The waitress was great about it and kindly offered to replace the dish. Shortly after, the manager came by as well, apologized, and offered the same, which I appreciated. I decided not to go for a replacement of the same item as I figured it might come out similarly, and while I considered ordering something else, I just lost my appetite.
To their credit, they comped the dish and also offered a dessert on the house. So while the dish itself was a miss, the service was absolutely excellent — thoughtful, proactive, and professional from start to finish.
All in all, I’d give it 4 stars. Not a knock on the service at all, but more a reflection of the food experience that evening. Would still come back and give it another shot.

We went to this restaurant for girls’ night and were unfortunately disappointed by the service. Our server seemed completely indifferent to us. They didn’t check in on us and forgot about our condiments. However, everyone else was great. The food was really tasty, especially the halibut and salmon— focaccia could use more seasoning, though.
Overall, it’s a good place, maybe we just caught our server at a bad day?

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Black + Blue, located at The Roof in Vancouver, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Right from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and stylish, setting the tone for a lovely midday meal.
The mussels were an absolute highlight—perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful reminder of the freshness of the ingredients. Additionally, the Canadian beef we were served was simply unbeatable; it was juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection, making it a standout dish.
What truly enhanced our experience, however, was the outstanding service. The staff was not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They made us feel welcome and were eager to ensure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their genuine hospitality really added a personal touch to our dining experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Black + Blue for a delicious and memorable lunch. With spectacular mussels, top-notch Canadian beef, and a team that goes above and beyond, I’m already looking forward to my next visit! 💫

5 stars isnt even close to enough for my experience tonight! From start to finish absolutely INCREDIBLE service and meal. My waitress, Giovani was a god send. She was attentive, explained the menu and did the sweetest thing at the end of the meal. This meal was to celebrate myself and independence after a seperation from my ex wife and I can't say enough amazing things. I can not wait to go back. It made my first real independent meal as a single women a comforting experience.

If you’re looking for instagramable worthy food pictures of one of the most delicious foods Vancouver has to offer, it’s here.
First off the dining area and decor is spotless and modern. The ambiance is incredibly invigorating. The service here exceeded my expectations and I’ve returned many times.
The food quality is very premium and has a high standard. I’ve never had the opportunity to ever experience brunch here yet, because of my schedule. But I would obviously love to someday.

Our server Aimee was attentive and very responsive to questions. She made the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The butter chicken and chicken wings are Halal fyi. Would recommend the soy garlic chicken wings with the garlic based prawn scampi. They provide appropriate sized appetizers and mains easily shared between two. They also have non alcoholic drinks as well so I opted for the watermelon spritz which is really refreshing on a hot day. Overall 5/5 experience 😌

I'm not very well versed with teppanyaki, but what I had here was really fun.
I had the $58 special that they currently have. It included:
Shabu Shabu Soup
Vegetables
Shrimp
Tiger Prawns
Filet Mignon (+$14)
Chicken
Rice
Mango Ice Cream
Rising Sun $8
Overall, the food was good, but I thought the chicken was a little bit overcooked. I also tried the sirloin steak as well and that was very tender, so if I didn't substitute the filet mignon, that would have been a good choice as well.
Our cook was super nice and very entertaining.
I would want to go back and try other things on the menu as well.

Quite a pricy restaurant for a nice night out at Vancouver, but definitely worth the money! They have a very good portion size of food, cooked right in front of us on the metal plates. The chefs are also full of personality, and great at entertaining us as well. I highly recommend trying this place out, especially during Dine Out Vancouver :)

The server was nice, but she didn't give us green tea even though it was included. She asked us if we wanted ice cream which isn't included with the meal, to which we found odd. Our main problem was the food. It was over seasoned and drenched in butter. They changed their steak sauce and other sauce for garlic sauce and veggie sauce. To which we were very disappointed, considering that is the main reason why we used to go. The atmosphere and the chef were really nice, though. The chef provided amusement and nice tricks which we all enjoyed.
