We attempted to go to the location by the harbor, but decided on this location instead because there was no wait, and loved every moment of it. We were seated quickly and with the little one, they were very accommodating. The drinks and app came out quick, and the server checked in just enough times where we didn’t feel like we got ghosted, but also didn’t feel overburdened.
The food was delicious and the serving sizes were quite excellent for the price point. Drinks were also delicious and you could tell the pours were very generous. The bar scene was going in full motion with the hockey games, and it was overall a great experience!

New favorite tacos! Loved the atmosphere and variety in the menu. The chipotle chicken tacos were so flavorful and tasty. Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend sitting on the patio. Cactus Club is a MUST for visiting Vancouver!

If you haven't been to a cactus club yet, you owe it to yourself to try! You can't go wrong with anything you choose on the menu, love love love their classic Bellini. Happy hour is dine in only, everyday 2–5pm, plus Sun-Thurs 9pm–close, and Fri-Sat 10pm-close, this could vary based on their other locations. Try their truffle fries, their lagers and beer are good too. Great upscale ambiance, good food, good service, a BC staple.

Wow, delicious. Our server was amazing. Very kind and fun. We got seated right away on a Saturday night. This was during Dine Out Vancouver Festival and they served up a treat. The apps were amazing, main course was delicious and 🍨 was great. Thanks for a fun night.

On our date night, my husband and I chose Cactus for dinner. It was a summer evening, so we decided to sit outside and enjoyed our meal in the pleasant weather. The server was friendly and provided excellent service. Although the food was good, I felt the burger could have had more flavor.

We came here for my birthday and it was perfect. Our server was kind, friendly and attentive. We had the brioche & calamari as appetizers, both incredible. The calamari was the best I've ever had if I'm being honest. For our mains, we had the king salmon and scallops, both delicious as well. Salmon & scallops cooked perfectly. The portions were great as well. Our drinks were also delicious. And they brought out a yummy birthday dessert on the house! All in all a great experience and would recommend.

It was a great experience to have a happy hour with my boyfriend before the movie. The oysters and wine were reasonably priced, and the oysters were fresh. However, we had to be careful with some shells inside the oysters. The service was good, and the vibe at the restaurant was very nice. We sat outside near the fire, which kept us warm, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. Overall, we felt happy:)

Really enjoyed our happy hour experience! Franklin, Mohit and Ben provided excellent service. Enjoyed the ambiance and heated patio. The food was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend their happy hour!

Came for happy hour because we saw on social media it has some pretty good deals. We ordered the crab dip, oysters and a couple of drinks. The Caesar I had was a double and was one of the worst Caesars I’ve had. Watered down alcoholic is all it tasted like. The person behind got one and for some reason got a tall glass and I didn’t. Oysters were a good price and weren’t too bad. The other food was meh for happy hour. Service was horrible because it was busy. Overall would not come back and would not recommend this place.

First time visiting coast on a recommendation from a colleague. We were thrilled with our food choices.
Both of us had the $39 lunch menu. Oysters, sablefish, seafood linguine, and salmon and gnocchi. The oyster were on the small side, but very fresh.
Everything else was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are generous. I really liked the light butter/ tomato sauce on the seafood linguine. It did not feel fatty and heavy.
We’ll be back!

Celebrated our anniversary here! Since this was a special occasion, I knew I had to get their Prime Bone-In Rib Steak! Best steak I've had so far!! Really enjoyed every bite. We also ordered their Slow-Roasted Half Free-Range Chicken and as well as their Caesar Salad. The ambiance was very nice and our server was really accommodating. I think I can say that the price is definitely worth it!

Best cheese bread I have tasted. Crispy and gooey. The stake is smokey, rich and tender. But the best part is definitely the service. The server had an unique charm. The price is not cheap but it's definitely an experience I wouldn't forget. Glad I was here with friends.

The BEST Steakhouse I've had EVER been to. I've love steak, and this place was just another level for food and SERVICE.
My server, Andrew, was so knowledgeable about everything else on the menu we asked about, from wines to mocktails, he was AMAZING to have as our table server.
I had the porterhouse steak with mashed potatoes, but group I was with had the Beef Wellington and it looked fantastic, although it would have killed me due to my allergy. Friend I brought had steak and lobster, which was masterfully made and displayed. The mashed potatoes were devine, very soft and beautifully mashed, quite tasty with gravy. I'd like to say I'm a connoisseur of mashed potatoes as I have them almost everywhere I go - these are in the top 10 of mashed potatoes of places I've had.
Thank you very much Hy's, I will return for another meal as this was a highlight of my year eating here.

We enjoyed a family dinner at the Hawksworth. Organized team handling the reservation, questions, slight changes, checking in, coat checks. While two sommeliers were available to recommend wines, it was nice that there was a choice of alcohol free drinks for our party. Gratuity was determined by the guest which was a nice surprise.

Opting to dine at this establishment within our hotel was a delightful choice. The service was top-notch, with the dedicated staff ensuring an exceptional dining experience. We indulged in the seasonal tasting menu accompanied by a wine pairing, which proved to be a superb combination. While the wagyu dish left room for improvement with its lackluster sear and plain taste, the other dishes were delectable. Special mention goes to their outstanding carrot cake, undoubtedly the best we've had. Additionally, the pleasant surprise of a morning pastry further enhanced our overall impression of the place.

Tasting menu Feb 19 + paring wine.
The sommelier was really knowledgeable, server was attentive and caring. Their dishes are delicious, especially the Sable fish dish, dessert was just fine. All and all we had a good dinner & worth the price.

Yesterday I visited Hawkswort for lunch with my friends. They gave us really nice table. Price for the food was very affordable for this type of the restaurant, it was the set menu lunch for Dine out Vancouver for 36$. I enjoyed the lunch, it is very nice ambience, and good food quality. They have my favorite wine Moscato, so it was great experience for me. I will definitely visit again for dinner. At the evening the ambient looks beautiful.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Black+Blue Steakhouse, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. We chose to dine on the balcony, which provided a beautiful and intimate setting, perfect for a special occasion.
The atmosphere at Black+Blue is elegant yet comfortable, with a sophisticated decor that sets the stage for a luxurious dining experience. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options to suit every palate. As a steakhouse, their selection of cuts is impressive, and my steak was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor.
What truly set this experience apart was the attention to detail and the quality of service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect, from the thoughtful recommendations to the timely service. They even surprised me with a special birthday dessert, which was a delightful touch.
The combination of the stunning balcony view, the delicious food, and the exceptional service made my birthday dinner at Black+Blue Steakhouse a memorable one. It's a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience, whether it's for a special occasion or just a night out. The ambiance, cuisine, and service all come together to create an unforgettable experience.

The rooftop is beautifully decorated, and both the atmosphere and service was warm and inviting. My salad was decent - it was a good mix of ingredients but could have been better with mixed greens instead of romaine. My steak was cooked perfectly and deliciously seasoned. Awesome lunch!

The service is so good, the waitress was friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations that we actually like! The brioche is way better than expected, big portions and goes perfect with the cheese butter(?) on the side. The beef wellington is good as well, but the strip-loin that we had doesn’t really worth the price since it is not as good as we expected. The butter-cake is perfect with cream and berries.

We have been to this restaurant a few times, but this time we went to try the option for dine out Vancouver.
Pros: The waitress was very attentive and detail-oriented. The set menu was priced very reasonably and came with good portions as well. Appetizers were very very tasty. The best dish we tried was the steak 🥩 it came with a really good mash potato and veggies. The wine pairing was very nice and economical.
Cons: We felt welcomed by the host, but they didn’t take our jackets and didn’t help us to get into our seats. We had booked ahead of time, but the table we got was very small and in an uncomfortable corner even though there were plenty of other empty tables more comfortable around us. The salmon dish needs improvement. It’s not easy to make Wellington, but I think if they are taking the chance, they should definitely improve the taste, texture, and presentation.
P.S.: Dessert was great as well!

This restaurant is currently one of my better dine out restaurants that I have tried this year. For $49 I got the beef carpaccio, pasta and tiramisu.
I really enjoyed the appetizer as the flavours were just perfect. The main dish (pasta) was also really good especially if you like creamy. I thought that the dessert was average. Overall would definitely try this place again!

Fish and chips are normal. The batter is a lot bigger than the fish itself and the portion of fries is very generous. The butter chicken is rich. The one naan bread looks very oily and sad. Attentive service. Love the high ceiling that creates the feeling of expansiveness.

Kobe, best Tepanyaki in Vancouver, great food, drinks and service. Its a must. The only issue is ventilation, our clothes after dinner smelled badly, but theres not much you can do about that in a Tepanyaki. Food was excellent!!

I am giving this a 5 star as this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Vancouver! Watching them cook in front of you makes the whole experience a dinner and a show. The only one comment I’ll make is that you are very squished next to other guests at the table. Nevertheless, Will come back here again!

Absolutely blown away by this experience. We were there for a birthday party as many other people were. I've been to other similar restaurants to this but this surpasses anything by far the quality of food and entertainment.. definite must and worth every penny.

What an experience! I absolutely LOVED the concept - the food was delicious of course, but the professionalism and the friendliness of the staff was on another level. I really loved how the chef was preparing the food in front of us - even though I was initially slightly intimidated by the idea of the flames being so close to me lol. I’m definitely going to visit again to try more items from their menu. Thanks again! 🤩

Stopped in for happy hour while staying at the Met. We couldn't believe it wasn't more crowded! Excellent local beer and cider. We had the truffle fries and the humbolt squid (came like traditional calamari) coated with a sweet chili sauce and a side of the house hot sauce. Definitely recommend if you are nearby!

Excellently prepared filet. They do something special to fry their wings and fries - not sure how they make it so crispy and light. It’s amazing though. Wonderful staff kept our water topped up and service for drinks flowing. 10 out of 10, will come again.

A local restaurant that is located in the center of downtown Vancouver attached to the hotel Metropolitan it is nearby the shopping center Pacific Center and the Vancouver art gallery. There are quite a number of parking in front of the restaurant also it is very nearby public transportation the SkyTrain is just a block away from the Granville station
My friends and I came here for Dino Vancouver, I haven't been to this restaurant for years. the food was fine. the presentation is very appealing as usual and the taste was nice; however, the dessert was slightly disappointing.
there were two selections for the menu, one is a cookie in a jar that would seem to be an incomplete cookie Inside a container. the other one is a cheesecake that doesn't look like a cake. Seems like cream cheese with some other sauce and crunchy crumbs to be eaten altogether. I tried to finish it off but at some point it just gets stuck to my throat and I had to stop since I felt like I was eating cream cheese by the spoon

One spot that I have to go more often not just to eat food but have an experience. From previous reviews I can tell that they do care about their patrons extra ordinarily.
We were not only greeted instantly but seated the very next minute and the enthusiasm in the usher n server excited us even more.
We got the perfect little window facing corner to sit and a very gentlemen server. Excellent customers service in not only serving them but overall handling of everything going on.
Food was beyond my expectations good. The beetroot salad , prawns, bread n avocado and also the ravioli was mind blowing. We finished to last crumb n leaf of salad. Lol
Desert had a perfect sweet taste to it
How could I ignore music being played as it filled the air with a different energy. Imagine sitting in a Vancouver downtown restaurant but listening to Arabian, carabian n beaches inspired music so what will happen? You have a good time. Right? Beautiful music by djsoulcial just adds cherry to the top notch food and ambiance of diva
See you again

My Fiancé and Icame for the Valentine's special set course menu.
The Diva is a restaurant attached to the Metropolitan Hotel.
Entering, the lobby was very Valentines in setup, with a photobooth, red themed candy, etc.
We were quickly greeted and seated in the restaurant and presented with the menu.
Since we don't drink alcohol, we started with some mocktails, and the first course, fresh oysters. It normally comes with a sparkling brut, but we chose not to have that. The oysters were so good, with a horseradish vinegarette, that I tried to order more, but alas.... No avail.....
We chose both options for the 2nd course to try. The was kompachi crudo, with blood Oranges and picked root veggies, and a duck consommé with tortellini and shimeji mushrooms. Both were good, but the crudo was definitely the more favoured one.
For Entrée, I ordered pistachio crusted rack of lamb, and my fiancé ordered the black cod in lonster bisque. Both were delicious, not sure what else to really say!
Finally for dessert, we had this choclate and fruit pastry, with chocolate mousse. It had gold flakes, and was gorgeous! We loved it.
Everything was plated spectacularly. For the price of $98, it was definitely worth the experience. If you're expecting a huge filling meal out of it, go somewhere else.
Finally, big shout out to our server Monika for pulling a double, then back in the morning. She was professional, friendly and funny!
We would definitely come back for dinner again!
