Our tour guide recommended Cactus chain and I am glad we listened. Great spot for weekend lunch. Extra points for accommodating group of seven during Brazil vs Norway match. Another extra point for Norway win ;) Welcoming service and delicious food. While they don’t have kids menu, they offer few great choices for kids. Our daughter experimented with Tofu salad.

A very nice place to dine. We had the blackened chicken and changed the mash potato to truffle fries shared for two and it arrived beautifully plated/split for two; awesome and so delicious! Highly recommendable. The burger hit the spot, but the chicken tenders were kind of bland even when dipped in those sauces provided. Service was great, the washroom’s upstairs and may be hard for the seniors. There’s an elevator, but that day we went was out of order. Overall, this location is awesome! Thanks for being there, Cactus Club Cafe… 😍

I’ve been coming to Cactus Club regularly, and it never disappoints. The service is always quick, and the servers are attentive, friendly, and professional. The food and atmosphere are consistently great, which is why I keep coming back. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience! Happy hour is great and reasonable too.

Claiming significant corner court on Burrard is Cactus Club, a standard chain restaurant that caters to everyone. The sheer amount of space Cactus takes up is no joke. This place was absolutely built for maximum capacity. This is a safe spot for comfort food, so I find myself coming to Cactus fairly often so I can devour a meal of Truffle Fries and Spaghetti Portofino or Pesto Chicken Quesadilla or Steak and Mushrooms, depending on my mood. Naturally I vouch for all of these delicious items. If you're looking for a quiet place to have meaningful conversation, this isn't the place. It is ridiculously loud, so half the time, you're straining to hear, or shouting your vocal chords hoarse as if you were auditioning to be a cheerleader. The ambiance is nice though, and even better at night when the lights get dimmed. I've come here on more than a few Friday's to unwind after a chaotic stress inducing week of corporate nonsense. In a sea of restaurants downtown, Cactus stands out as Old Reliable. Plus you can't beat the fact that it's literally right outside Burrard Station, for my transitting comrades. And as a final lure, the prices and portion sizes are actually pretty decent considering everyone is trying to screw you out of your money while shrinking portions and quality. Thank goodness Cactus hasn't fallen prey to these tactics.

This restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience. The environment is clean, tidy and cozy with nice decor. Dishes are fresh, tasty and authentic, and portions are generous with good value for money. Food is served at a reasonable speed. Staff are friendly, polite and attentive, always ready to help. The atmosphere is relaxing for casual meals or small gatherings. No disappointing dishes here. Highly recommended, and I will definitely visit again.

Super friendly for single customer becoz they have bar table with tiny bbq stove ! Location is very good just few walks after exit Burrard station. I felt a bit Odd of their policy, every purchase just max 8pcs sashimi ,it is call "limited" AYCE, however, the sashimi taste good and thick! Besides other dishes are umlimited order! The BBQ beef is nice, i also ordered different rolls, which is taste good, too. I recommend ordered fried chick, scallop roll, i will come again if the day i want eat sushi ! ☺

Food was lowkey very mid. To be fair it’s ayce so it was pretty reasonable. Nothing really stood out, the sashimi was alright, I liked the hamachi but not really the tuna or salmon. The staff were very nice and attentive and helped us out a lot. The food came pretty quickly too, it wasn’t very busy on a Thursday night. I wish they gave a dipping sauce for the meat.

I visited for a friend’s birthday, and we had a really fun time. The concept is interactive because the meat is brought to your table and you cook it yourself, which makes the meal more enjoyable, especially when you’re with a group of friends. It created a fun atmosphere and gave us something to do while we talked and celebrated. The food was good, but for me the experience was more memorable than the actual taste. What makes this place stand out is the fun of cooking together and sharing the meal with friends. Its affordable & tasty for a unlimited meat & sashimi / sushi 😍🍣🍖 The service was a little bit slow (since most of the time there's a lot of people dinning in) so once you order it on the paper of how many items / food you want, just make sure you get enough coz it really takes time. It's too crowded too depending on the time & some other time you'll gonna wait up to 30 mins for you to be seated. So better call them first & have a reservation especially if you're in a group planning to dine in there. Lunch time doesn't have a dessert. Dinner time, had a coffee jelly. Parking was difficult to find, but there's a street parking elsewhere since its downtown.

We had the pleasure of being served by Peter, and he made our dining experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive and made us feel genuinely well taken care of. We never had to ask for anything—he always seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed and checked in at just the right moments. This is our 2nd time to Coast for Happy Hour to celebrate my daughter's birthday. And the dining experience in this time is much better than my last visit in 2024. We are happy to see a happy birthday greeting card to my girl this time becsuse in last time, we also celebrated birthday for my son in happy hour, but no birthday greeting card to him. This is one of the improvements. And the server is very nice and considerable to my kids, her recommendation on drinks for kids is absolutely awesome. For the food, we ordered Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, 2 doz of Oysters, Calamari, Salmon Flatbread, Truffle Fries, Tuna Poke and Bluefin Negitoro Sushi. 3 glasses of non-alcoholic drinks and 2 glasses of beer. All food is very delicious especially the oysters are very fresh. Wagyu Beef and Smoked Salmon Flatbread are recommended as well. However, the environment is a little bit noisy and the price is little bit higher. Finally the bill is around CAD 233 (with tax and tips) but reasonable to the food quality and portion. Since we are really full, otherwise, we would try Mussels too. We will visit again next time and must try mussels and Loster Mac & Cheese Bites then.

Had a great time at Coast last night for dessert and drinks with two friends. We were greeted with smiles and great service right away. Stephen was our server and was so friendly, attentive, and helpful with his recommendations. He checked in on us throughout the evening, and we never had to wait long for anything. We ordered the Ten Layered Chocolate Mint Cake and, I believe, the Warm Banana & Coconut Butter Cake — both were delicious! Overall, such a lovely experience. Great service, great desserts, and a fun atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

Great smart casual spot with genuinely friendly service. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food hit the mark. The calamari was especially good—tender and well prepared. I also tried the lobster omelet, and it really was filled with lobster, not just a token amount. And if you’re looking for a deal, the $2 oysters are a steal: fresh, flavorful, and well worth ordering. Overall, excellent seafood and great atmosphere for celebration.

We’ve dined at countless steakhouses and unfortunately some must refrain from naming their restaurant “Steakhouse”. Unlike other types of restaurants, a steakhouse tells the patrons, “if you’re in the mood for exceptional steak this is the place”. What drew us to this restaurant aside from it being within the walking distance, was how everyone mentioned this name first, when we asked about a good steakhouse. From the cab driver to the hotel reception desk and our bell captain, they all unanimously spoke very highly of this restaurant. What an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses greeted us with a smile. Alysia (sorry if I messed up the spelling) our waitress was so pleasant, professional and attentive. We were so pleased to meet the young man (Nathan) who was also very attentive and pleasant. The menu consisted of just the right amount of options and undoubtedly each prepared to perfection. We tried the cheese bread (sinfully delicious), wedge salad, porterhouse steak, grilled lemon asparagus and baked potatoes. The steak was perhaps among the best steaks we’ve ever had. Everything was made so well. To put a sweet end to our experience, we had their absolutely delicious apple crumble and affogato. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Hy's was recommended to us by a couple we met the day before while out having some drinks. They said the steaks were great and the cheese toast to die for. So we figured we had one evening without dinner plans and why not give it a go. The cheese toast is amazing can confirm, also had the sautéed prawns which were cooked well and the sauce they come in delicious if I had know how good i would have ordered it with the cheese bread to dip into. As it was my wife kept the bowl with the sauce to dip her lobster in instead of butter. The French onion soup was the best one I have ever had, incredibly rich broth. We also had the table side Caesar salad, which was well prepared. I had the table side steak Diane also as it isn't something avaliable almost anywhere and I was very happy with my choice. The wife had filled and lobster both were cooked to perfection. The only thing we didn't love is the artwork which is a bit odd. But all in all a great dining experience. Our waitress Amanda did awesome preparing the table side cases and steak Diane. And Andrew in the bar was excellent as well when we had a few drinks prior to our reservation.

Dan's service was top notch. We shared the famous - cheesy bread, table side Caesar salad and ended with bananas foster and Belgian chocolate bourbon cake. My gorgonzola filet was perfection. My friend said her chicken was so good as well. Large group mostly out of owners were very pleased. Always a favorite spot and especially to recommend.

We found our steakhouse! Just wow! The steak was cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill, perfectly seasoned, tender medium well. The atmosphere was so fancy and high end. My husband brought me here for the first time although he had been here before. We’ve been to Elisa in Yaletown and have always tried booking there but was always full. So he recommended to go to Hy’s and I told why he only took me there now. We had an amazing dining experience! The ambiance, service of our host was top notched five stars and of course the food was worth the five stars price! We will definitely return!

Came here to celebrate Christmas last year but just forgot to leave a Review ! Love the steak and the cheese toast! So yummy Spinach salad is really impressive! Soup and dessert were so so, but very tempting to come pay a visit for another lunch again! Would love to try their steak burger 🍔 in the future! Definitely coming back again!

We recently went to Hawksworth Restaurant for a birthday dinner/date night, and the whole experience was amazing. The food was incredibly delicious, very tasty. The service really stood out as well. Our server was very helpful, guiding us through both the menu and drinks, she recommended one of the best wines we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was romantic and quiet, making it perfect for an intimate celebration. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this place..

Hawksworth’s Sunday roast is a polished take on a classic, done exactly how you’d expect from one of Vancouver’s top dining rooms. The roast beef is tender and well-seasoned, paired with crispy-yet-fluffy potatoes, rich gravy, and properly executed Yorkshire pudding that actually holds up to the sauce. The sides feel elevated without being overcomplicated, and the portion is satisfying without being heavy. Service (Lou) is sharp and attentive, making the whole experience feel a bit more special than your typical Sunday roast spot—refined comfort food that leans more upscale than traditional.

Had an incredible lunch at Hawksworth in Vancouver—honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The food was beautifully presented and every dish was balanced, thoughtful, and full of flavor. The space itself feels refined but still comfortable, not stuffy. What really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server was absolutely out of this world—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it elevated the whole meal. If you’re looking for a polished, high-end lunch spot in Vancouver, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend.

We chose Hawksworth for my wife’s birthday and decided to try the $200 shared table menu. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The advertised price of the 4 course menu certainly catches your attention, but the ingredients and execution felt surprisingly underwhelming. The tomato carpaccio, for example, sounded promising, but it was literally just thin slices of a large tomato. The steamed vegetables were completely flavourless, just beans, zucchini and carrots that reminded us of frozen mixed vegetables from the grocery store. The veal was dry, which by that point wasn’t even surprising anymore. The salmon sashimi salad also lacked freshness and flavour, tasting more like a lightly dressed salad than a dish showcasing quality salmon. To be fair, the housemade milk buns with lavender and Maldon butter were excellent, the dessert was delicious, and the service was outstanding as always. Those were the highlights of the evening. Unfortunately, the evening ended on an even more disappointing note when my wife developed what appeared to be a stomach flu after we got home. I can’t say whether it was related to the meal, but it certainly put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. If it’s difficult to create a memorable tasting menu at this price point, I’d much rather pay a little more for better ingredients and a menu worthy of a special occasion. Hawksworth has built a great reputation, which is why this experience was so disappointing.

My friend Howie recommended this place when I was hungry during downtown happy hour time. From what I gathered, this restaurant is known for steak, but there was none aside from the steak nachos on the menu. I was feeling more seafood anyway, but I will say after learning about their prime rib special I think I'll try to come back. Frito de mer - on the menu I took a photo of they had calamari, but inside the menu at the table was this option. This was my favorite. Mac and Cheese sticks - breading was fine, it was fried well, I just thought the truffle flavoring was a bit weak. Steamed mussels - another excellent choice. Im normally not a bread person because carbs. I need it to be outstanding and this was to the point I remarked to my friend. I was going to skip it but dipped one piece in the broth and ended up finishing the slice wanting to go back for seconds. The Price point is absolutely great for happy hour and they seem to have other specials that make it tempting to come back at other points. I haven't explored their actual menu yet but I think I would be interested from this visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Celebrating our 7th anniversary at Black+Blue was the best decision! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. We had requested to come a little earlier than our dinner reservation on Saturday, June 20, and the team was very accommodating. As soon as we walked in, we received a warm greeting, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A special shoutout to Manager Bipin and Tetiana, who took excellent care of us throughout the evening. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu and share information about the restaurant, making our experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, and we appreciated that they were happy to accommodate our preferences. Every dish was prepared perfectly and served with great attention to detail. A big thank you to the chef and the entire kitchen team for delivering such delicious meals. Thank you, Black+Blue, for making our anniversary celebration so memorable and special. Our server, Fraser, was the best! Super nice and very knowledgeable, especially since he mentioned that he has been working there since the resto opened. We tried the “Land & Sea” menu special on Monday (08.24.2026) and everything was amazing! Our NY strip was cooked to perfection and the lobster was delicious! The butter-cake dessert was heaven! This was my husband and I’s first time at Black + Blue and we will definitely be back!

An outstanding dinner at Black + Blue. Started with cocktails at the bar in the main dining room. Beautiful ambiance and decor. We then proceeded up to the rooftop for dinner. What a great vibe and location. Formal dining in a relaxed setting. The food was impeccable. Each course perfectly prepared and the steak was grilled to perfection. So much flavor in every bite. The Mac N Cheese Sticks were off the chart. Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside. The Crab Cake was full of crab meat, the best we have ever eaten. Liidia was absolutely impressive. Warm, polite, humorous and made us feel so welcome. We look forward to coming back on our next visit.

We had Lidiia as our server and it was the best service I've had in a long time! I find the service industry has been lacking lately all while expecting a hefty tip. Here, I didnt mind tipping. It was a great experience from start to finish. Food and rooftop were lovely too.

I recently visited Showcase while visiting Vancouver and loved it so much I went back again a couple days later. I had the eggs Benedict the first time, and the avocado test the second time. Not only was the food AMAZING (Avocado Toast was an 11/10), but the highlight of my experience really were the staff. They were such a delight, so super kind, and caring. Truly kindness goes a long way. Thanks for making my trip out to Vancouver an even better one 🤍 A shout out to Dwayne & Rajib - awesome servers/hosts. Thank you both particularly 🙌🏾

When you enter the Marriott, ensure you maneuver, To their delightful lounge in downtown Vancouver. We gave this place a shot late on a Friday night, After travelling on several long flights. Alvin is truly a bright and shining star, He makes your visit an experience- much more than a bar. He created lovely cocktails that are truly divine, Perfect combinations he himself designed. Stop in, say hello, and quench your thirst, In any mixology competition - Alvin would be first!

We visited Vancouver for a couple of days before a cruise. We went to the Showcase Restaurant before exploring the city one morning and were blown away by the WONDERFUL service from Dwayne and delicious food. Our meals came out quickly and were presented beautifully, and were both 10/10! What made this breakfast completely unforgettable was the excellent service from Dwayne. He was attentive, providing menu recommendations but also was genuinely interested in our plans for the day and provided top tier recommendations for the local attractions we were going to be visiting that day. He provided the best service and was the best server we have had in years! Thank you Dwayne!

Surprisingly having lived in the surrounding areas of Vancouver, 50+years. This was my first time to Kobes. I have always heard great experiences from others. I brought my girlfriend, daughter & some. Celebrating 5 years with my GF & daughters 18th birthday. Very nice warm ambiance, amazing staff. The chefs are next level. Being a Sat. evening, it was quite busy. Definitely make reservations. This is a very social atmosphere. So if your looking for something more private, intimate. I'd go elsewhere. Our chef Sho was very personable & entertaining. Glad to have checked Kobes off the restaurant bucket list. I know it's very popular and if your a tourist. It's a must.

Dinner and a show at Kobe Japanese Steak House is the place to go. It’s a Vancouver institution that has perfectly preserved the classic teppanyaki experience—fun, fiery, and full of energy. The highlight is, of course, the teppanyaki chef. From the flaming onion volcanoes to the lightning-fast knife skills, the performance makes the meal feel like a special event. It’s the perfect spot for a birthday, anniversary, or a lively night out with a group. The interior has a wonderful, nostalgic feel that transports you right out of the downtown hustle. We went with the Kobe Classic, and the quality of the beef was outstanding—perfectly seared and incredibly tender. The meal comes as a complete set with soup, and those delicious grilled vegetables. Make sure to ask for extra of their signature "Yum Yum" sauce; it’s addictive! For those who love seafood, the scallops were also cooked to perfection.

We recently celebrated our friends’ 56th anniversary at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, and it was a wonderful experience as always. This has been their go-to place for many years to celebrate this special occasion, which speaks volumes about the consistency of the restaurant. It was an excellent experience. The service was great, as well as the food quality & quantity. Had a great time with friends. It was quite loud, but it’s understandable. I think it’d be better if the smoke control is improved, it was a bit smoky in there. Otherwise, 10/10.

FOMO kicked in on the last day of Vancouver Dine Out. Skipping it felt like I was missing a ritual—but with prices climbing and fewer standout concepts, it hasn’t felt as exciting lately.
