If you like old style canto food and mediocre western breakfast this place is for you. Honestly the Chinese food is pretty good, it's as good as your typical Vancouver Chinese joint. I didn't get the combos, but rather ordered Individual dishes. The sizes are good and you get a lot for the money you pay for. The breakfast, while it isn't the tastiest, it was very non oily so that's a win. It's a bit run down but I guess that's part of the charm.

The restaurant definitely feels like a blast from the past, it kinda smells like commercial so cigarettes and weed which is not my favourite and it's kinda drafty but it adds to the experience and me and my friends are kinda crazy so 5 stars. The food is also decent, they have a big variety and it's pretty good. Overall I think it's a fun experience to come with friends.
I really like their deep fried prawns. And I want to try their brunch here too.
The photos are from 2 separate times we went.

This place was a quick find near my work, and turns out they’re great for the price you pay! great portions and great authentic taste and very quick service (I went there for my lunch break and did not have much time to waste, not only was I done with food and payment - I also had some extra time until my break ended!) I did not have cash so the lady upfront let me me with interac etransfer! would definitely recommend!

Catching up on reviews- this place was *the* pizza place back in the slice wars days around 2008- when slices were 1-1.50 each. Some of my fondest Vancouver memories was trying all the slices, and essentially living off cheap pizza and sushi while working low paying Temp jobs and living out of hostels.
I remember this place always being my first choice. Even when I returned almost a decade later, the vibe was more or less the same. Still a great variety of slices, though the prices have adjusted to match the times. Definitely look forward to returning on my next visit west.

This place right here is the pizza joint you want and need in your life. Great little spot, super accessible. Great and imaginative pizza options. Definitely give the Mac and cheese slice a try. You also have to give the sauces a try. Great and bumping atmosphere always. Super friendly staff and always make you feel like it’s home.

A little pizza shop on Commercial, in the the skytrain station.
I went in for a snack and had a slice of ground meat pizza.
And, I say, it was really good. And because I was there on a Tuesday, it cost only $2. Pizza was fresh, hot and soft.
It is a popular place. People were coming and going constantly. The staff were friendly and smiling.
I definitely recommend their pizza.

Our absolute favourite cheap pizza place. The people are so friendly, the pizza is always decent and they're open super late so always nice to get it before heading home.

Very good pizza! Not the best, but definitely good. I ordered from Uber Eats, and Fatih's was open late, so I reluctantly ordered from them.
My pizza was a solid 4 out of five stars, and I'll probably order from them again. The pizza sauce could use more garlic, as it was hard to tell if it even had any - tasted more like straight tomato paste, but was okay. And the topp8ngs were too expensive.
I paid about ten dollars more than the pizza was worth for what I received, but still enjoyed it. One other thing: it came with a wonderful side of green pesto dipping sauce that kicked the whole flavor profile up another notch or two; so if you love pesto, you won't be disappointed by the one Uncle Fatih's offers. Would be a better value though if they didn't change extra for it.
Okay, so one more 'one other thing': never on my entire life have I seen a pizza with seaame seeds as a garnish/topping. Zoon in on the photo and you will see sesame seeds sprinkled all around the periphery of this pizza. I didn't see sesame seeds listed as an ingredient, let alone as an option - don't know if they could be an allergy risk for some folks. In my case however, I LOVED the seeds; they contributed to the overall flavor profile of the pizza in a way only a sesame seed affictionado would truly appreciate!
In a nutshell: very good pizza, but overpriced. GO UNCLE FATIH'S!

Great spot for beer lovers. They have a huge selection of craft beers on tap, and the digital menu showing what’s available is really convenient. The atmosphere is lively and casual, perfect for hanging out with friends. Food was decent pub style and the portions were good. It can get quite busy, but overall it’s a fun place to grab a drink and relax.

We had a great happy hour visit at St. Augustine’s. Very good food and huge beer selection! Only “house” beers are on offer for six bucks but other beers are affordable at $8-9 per pint.
Pizza looks terrific too…trying that next time.

We went here for dinner really excited to try New Haven style pizza and... I liked the style of pizza in items of how thin but crispy the crust was but I didn't like the flavor. It tasted like dominos pizza tbh.
In terms of the chicken wings, the Nashville Hot flavor was quite flavorless. I wish I would have ordered the Buffalo flavor instead lol
The most disappointing part was the Aperol Spritz I ordered. I saw the bar tender crack open a bottle of premixed Aperol Spritz (like the little bottles that you can buy from the liquor store) and pour it into a glass with ice... Really??? Why wouldn't you use real Aperol liquor, fresh Prosecco, and soda? You could taste that it was from a premixed bottle, awful!

Really cool place! We got a table for four right away. They have a great beer list and cocktails if beer isn't your thing. We got a pizza with half mushrooms and half pepperoni. The pizza is massive and the one fed the four of us easily. We also got some fries that were great. The service was awesome and friendly and it was a nice day so all the garage doors were open. Excited to be back!

We ordered takeout and the sashimi was fresh and good. The miso soup was still hot.
The tempura had enough crunch
The ebi tsunomo had enough tang and was good.

Cool local sushi shop on Commercial drive. The owner is super friendly and nice, have fun chatting with him if he’s not too busy. There’s sometimes some special things that aren’t on menu to ask for.
Their menu is quite extensive, and while more known for takeout and delivery, they have some seats available for dine in as well.
Pricing is very good and you get a lot for what you pay for. The food is good and the fish is fresh! Definitely a new go to sushi place for me. Give it a try if you’re in the area or looking for takeout or delivery.

I have been getting takeout from Sushi Naruto for a while (I never sit in, it is tiny with no atmosphere). Overall I think that the quality and value of the food is pretty good, but yesterday I had a negative experience. I ordered through their online portal and requested a pair of chopsticks, but they were not added to the bag this time and I didn't notice until I got to the park to eat. Instead of eating at the park like I originally intended, I had to go home and get my own utensils.
Also, do NOT order the "sashimi salad". For $14 you get mostly bagged mixed greens with just 3 tiny fragments of sashimi, less than 1pc of each in total. I was even digging through the salad, I couldn't believe there could be so little fish. The "happy combo" is a much better deal.

I order the tuna &salmon combo under $20 before tax. Absolutely delicious! 😋

kind of confused, I ordered the ronny russel burrito to go, i got home and this is what i opened… half a burrito that looks like someone stepped on it?? looks more like a quesadilla when i unwrap it because it’s literally just folded in half with some mushrooms in it? SUPER disappointed, especially since i used to LOVE this place… not sure what happened here but really not impressed, and going to be hungry now… don’t order a burrito to go i guess…

If you’re in Vancouver and looking for vegetarian/vegan restaurant, give it a visit, you will love every single bite of food here, the staff is fantastic and will help you decide the best food if you don’t understand the menu. Street parking is paid FYI. Ambience is designed with animals in accordance with human being. A clear message to the world out there if one is good enough to understand from wall paintings 💜

As i was talking with some people i met in SeaTac airport, they were looking for Vegetarian/GF options in Vancouver and this was one of the first places i thought of. Jamie and the rest of the staff are great, the "pay it forward" programme is just a really cool/thoughtful community idea that deserves more attention/people knowing about it. 🌈💕💯 the burger and baked burritos are sublime and if youre a hot sauce person the habenero house hot-sauce is a cant-miss addition. Ive had the breakfast burrito maybe a dozen or more times (probably more) and its great every time. I probably should count the number of burrito pics in my camera roll for an accurate number 📸📸📸🤓🤣🌯🌯
Ps i really enjoyed the playlist last night ! Perfect for Bad Bunny-bowl 💯 "¡Debi tirar Mas Fotos de Burritos!" 🫡💯✨️💕🥰🌈

I've been here a few times and the food is really good. Their burritos are delicious.
I had a plantcurious coupon, so I went out for dinner.
It's such a cozy restaurant and I love how almost everything can be veganized. The low lighting and wooden tables, and murals of animals make this place.
Ordered some delicious vegan "chicken" wings in sticky garlic sauce, so good. They come with a side of ranch sauce.
Also ordered vegan queso cheesy dip made with cashews, to die for! Comes with warm tortilla chips. I could eat it by myself, it's that good. Nice portion too.
Decided to get a small bowl of tortilla soup, which I've never had here. Came with strips of tortilla on top and some slices of avocado. The soup was thick and very spicy to my palette. I didn't enjoy it that much, needed something to combat the heat on top of it, like vegan sour cream and cheese.
We also got their house salad which was really good.
Definitely a great spot to go.

I had one of their burritos, absolutely delicious. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but it's definitely got something for everyone. Staff are great too. I enjoyed my lunch here, I'll bring a friend next time. They have pretty small glasses of beer on offer too which is a great idea if you want a beer but don't want much. I wish more places had this.

Plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant, but it does get filled fast. They offer a variety of Szechuan food choices here. It's been part of the neighborhood for a while now, and the restaurant can accommodate big groups. I would say if you're from out of town and want some tasty Chinese food I would give them a try.

We had such a wonderful experience!
Both main dishes were absolutely amazing, the flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. Even before taking the first bite, we could already see we were getting our money’s worth.
As for the taste, the Mongolian beef was incredible… the meat was so tender it practically melted in the mouth, full of flavor. The pineapple beef was also fantastic; the vegetables were large, fresh, and very nourishing. Everything was delicious and well-balanced, and the veggie spring rolls were great too.
Highly Recommended !! we’ll definitely be ordering again and again!

One of the best we had.
Authenticity 5/5
Food quality 5/5 (The amount of diversity in their ingredients are crazy)
Food quantity 6/5 the portions were massive!
The price is really good for its portions.
Service 5/5 it’s not the friendliest to some customers they don’t really smile and suck up to you, but that’s how we like it. They’re fast and they do take care of you like legit Chinese aunties and uncles.
We will be def going back. Thank you for the great food!

Forget waiting an hour downtown for dim sum. This place does dim sum on weekdays and weekends and it's legit — har gow, siu mai, chicken feet, and lava buns that actually lava. Then we got the Peking duck for the table — crispy skin, thin pancakes, all the good stuff. Also snuck in an order of General Tso's chicken because I have zero self-control (in the best way).
This is the kind of spot you gatekeep from your out-of-town friends. Sorry not sorry.

I walked passed the food truck and was excited to try Turkish food. I've never had it before. I've had different middle eastern cuisine though.
I asked what I should order and was told the kofte is the most popular. So I ordered it and the messy burger.
In my opinion it took too long as I waited 30minutes for my order and I found the food very bland and not flavorful. The kofte had no real taste and the messy burger was just ketchup and ground beef.

Turkish street food is in town for the first time! Finally👍 They are conveniently located on East Broadway at Commercial drive, yellow food truck. As a native street foodie I am happy to say you won’t be disappointed. Delicious just like the ones you’d get at Istanbul streets and probably higher quality. Great customer service! Try the messy/wet burger, Yengen, Cig kofte (vegan) and you might be even treated by some Turkish candy bars ( well it was my birthday 🥳). Definitely will be back!
