Delicious cocktails paired with tasty steaks,an unforgettable experience at Cactus Club.
We went to this branch for my spouse’s birthday, and they brought us a yummy crème brûlée with a ‘Happy Birthday’ note.
That thoughtful gesture meant so much to me 😍👍🏼
Thanks to the Cactus Club Burnaby team 🩵

I came to this cactus club to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's a good location for groups and has a wide variety of dishes. I ordered the cheddar bacon burger and the mini crispy chicken sandwich which was off their happy hour menu. The staff are friendly and provided a free slice of cheesecake for his birthday. It's a great place for lunch or dinner especially during happy hour.

Dined here on the 12th of February and had the most amazing time! We ordered a Tuna Poke Bowl, 8oz Steak, Lava Cake and some drinks, and everything was delightful. I also want to thank the lovely server Natassia for being so kind and bringing a cheerful energy. Will for sure be coming back in the future. Kudos!

Had an amazing time at Cactus with my family. We were having a late night packing, and wanting to go out for some food and chose Cactus. It was decently busy, but we only waited 5 minutes for a table, and our server was amazingly efficient and so nice. I really appreciated being asked about my allergies when I asked for substitutions, and they made sure that my food wasn't contaminated with anything I couldn't have.
I go to Cactus a lot, but this time, and location, was even better than normal.

Stopped by for a Monty mushroom burger with my mom and brother. It’s a nostalgic spot but service was really slow… took 15 minutes to flag down our server to order. We ordered hot wings and zoo sticks to share, and I got the mushroom burger with fries. Hot wings were saucy and zoo sticks were delicious and crispy. Burger was good as well. Filling meal, but took forever to flag our server down for the bill.
Oh, the non alcoholic bottomless drinks were pretty good for $5 as well! The strawberry lemonade tastes exactly like red robins freckled lemonade. The mango iced tea was really delicious, I would recommend that one!

White Spot has always been our go-to family meet-up spot, but our recent visit to the Burnaby location was a huge letdown.
The hamburger bun was cold, and the beef patty was lukewarm. We all added mushrooms, but there was barely enough for two bites. The Legendary sauce was just a small dab, nowhere near what it should be. The fries were cold and didn’t taste fresh at all.
Appetizers were overly salty, and the blueberry pie had sour berries that made it hard to enjoy.
When we asked a staff member about the food, they said it was a slow long weekend. How is that an excuse for such poor quality?
We’re not coming back to this location.

This White Spot is the busiest locaton in lower mainland. The original Spot with drive in service. I've been coming here for like 30yrs. Today I brought my wife and kids for lunch, even though I had White Spot for lunch few days ago with a friend. Portions are great, especially the kids pirate pack (unfortunately it's only for 10yrs and under).

Always reliable White Spot brunch. Parking was as tight as I expected on Sunday afternoon. We were seated in reasonable time. Our server was very friendly. Despite the restaurant being at peak brunch business, we received our food and drinks rather swiftly. The $6.50 Sunday mimosas (not pictured) was quite the deal that my girlfriend very much enjoyed.

Ordered takeout from Mama’s Rice Bowl for the office, and it was a hit! The food was fresh, flavorful, and arrived perfectly packed. Every dish had great portions, and you could tell they use quality ingredients. The flavors were well-balanced, and everything tasted homemade with a comforting touch. Everyone in the office loved their meals, and we’ll definitely be ordering again.
If you’re looking for delicious, well-made rice bowls in Burnaby, this place is a must-try! Highly recommend for takeout, whether for a quick meal or a group order.

Very efficient operations with self-serve kiosk. The food came fast. Portion was generous and very tasty. Very pleasant surprise.

Ordered a few takeaway bowls from this lovely Korean restaurant in Burnaby. My favorite was definitely the bulgogi bowl and the spicy pork bowl. They were super filling and tasty. I couldn’t finish it all.
Staff were really friendly and the service was great!

The food, absolutely fantastic. It was so good in fact, that I forgot to take a photo until I was half done eating it.
As for the service, also excellent. The owner, a kind old man, will occasionally come out of the kitchen to clean up and chat with the customers. It's a lovey interaction.
The parking here, as some have mentioned, could be difficult since the lot isn't very clear as for who can park where without being ticketed.
Lastly, the price is just great. Whether you're a gym guy or just your average Joe, this place has definitely got you covered on protein and it's easy to track the macros for their food.
They also have daily specials, so be sure to look out for that.
10/10 would recommend, will come back next time.

Clean place…..but it is brand new 🤔
Teller lady wasn’t very friendly.
Chicken was ok….very greasy unfortunately.
I think they need to let it stand 3-5 minutes prior to serving ?
Anyway, not nearly as tasty as Popeyes but the price was decent.
Similar to Churches chicken taste wise except greasy.

The owner? guy is really nice and patient. They season the fish and some toppings with sauce in a mixing bowl separately so the whole bowl is super flavourful compared to other poke places that only drizzle on top. All the sauces are super yummy too. Much much tastier than Steve’s poke

Good poke bowls at this burnaby location. Ordered the seared tuna bowl with salad greens. Very tasty! The tuna tastes very fresh and the portions are quite reasonable. I like the addition of the edamame and radish sides too. Will come back again.

I have been here few times and it’s an absolutely amazing poke place. I always build my bowl and get all the toppings I need and it never disappoints. Really good food for a good price. I tried their chicken, salmon sockeye and shrimp and it’s just amazing. A must try place for poke bowl lovers. Check out if you’re in the area.

Absolutely top-tier experience at Papa John’s! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, fast, and professional. The pizza was piping hot, perfectly baked, and loaded with fresh, flavorful toppings. The crust had that perfect balance of crunch and softness, and the signature garlic sauce took it to another level. You can tell they care about consistency and quality here. Easily one of the best chain pizza experiences I’ve had—highly recommend this location if you want great service and even better pizza!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this pizza was honestly too good not to mention. The crust had that perfect balance crispy on the outside but soft and chewy inside. You can tell they use quality ingredients because everything tasted super fresh, the staff were really friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best pizza spots I’ve tried in a while. I’ll be back for sure.

A new spot in Burnaby! Just visited the brand-new Firehouse Subs on Dawson Street and overall, it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
The location is super clean, bright, and organized—you can tell it’s fresh and well-managed. The staff were friendly, energetic, and helpful, which made the experience even better. It’s always nice to walk into a place where the team takes pride in their service.
I tried two subs:
🥗 Caprese Veggie (medium) – The fresh mozzarella, tomato, and balsamic glaze combo was decent, though I was expecting more flavor complexity.
🌶️ Spicy Cajun Chicken (large) – Had a good amount of heat and the portion was filling, but nothing extraordinary in terms of quality.
The total came to around $35 for two subs, which felt a bit steep. While I understand that Firehouse Subs emphasizes premium ingredients and supports first responders (which I admire about their brand ethos), the price point still feels high compared to other sandwich chains offering similar items. The quality was average—not bad, but not standout either.
Still, having Firehouse Subs in Burnaby is exciting, and I’ll likely come back to try some of their other signature hot subs. I’d love to see some combo options or local specials down the line to make it more wallet-friendly for regulars.
💡 Tip: They’re known for steaming their meats and cheeses, which sets them apart from typical sub spots—so it’s worth giving their signature hot subs a try if you haven’t yet!

Disappointed with Service and Sandwich Quality
I placed an online order for two sandwiches for a 12:05 PM pickup. I arrived at 12:10, but my order still wasn’t ready, so I had to wait even longer. While I understand things can get busy, the experience went downhill from there.
When I got home and opened the sandwiches, I noticed one was missing the side pickle, which was supposed to be included. I had also requested extra lettuce, but there was barely any—just a light handful at best. The tomatoes were just a couple of broken slices, and the green peppers were nearly nonexistent.
While waiting in-store, I could see how they were preparing the sandwiches. The meat and cheese were placed on parchment paper and then put into steamer drawers. Because they seemed to be rushing through a backlog of orders, the ingredients were crumpled together instead of laid flat. This resulted in a clump of ham bound by melted cheese—so most of the meat ended up concentrated in just one part of the sandwich. The rest of it was uneven, making the eating experience pretty underwhelming.
In short, the flavor was decent, but the overall service and sandwich assembly left a lot to be desired. Staff could definitely benefit from more attention to detail and better training to ensure quality and consistency.

This place is awesome. Huge step up from other sandwich shops like Subway, Quiznos. The freshness and quality of the ingredients are league's above the competition. Also their hot sauces are awesome!
Jack Seary - 3 weeks ago
tried subway and quiznos, but this sandwich place has got to be hands down a huge improvement in quality, both on ingredients and overall taste and value. they put alot of meat and you can get extras.
highly recommend if you want a good value meal for price and quality.
