My husband and I recently visited Cactus Club Lougheed for a much-needed date night after weeks of nonstop shifts. It was pouring rain that evening, which somehow made the night feel even more special. We didn’t have a reservation, but we were warmly accommodated. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the food was nothing short of delicious, truly enjoyable from start to finish. The only hiccup came around dessert time. It took about 20–30 minutes for dessert to arrive, and we honestly felt like leaving at one point. After dessert, it also felt like we had been there the longest and were just ready to head out. We later found out that our server had been pulled into handling a very large party (18–20 guests that kept growing), which explained the delay. The server did apologize, which we appreciated, but since we were served by about three different people throughout the night, it wasn’t always clear who to approach when we needed something. That said, the dessert was absolutely worth the wait, and the food overall made the experience enjoyable. Despite the small service delay, we still had a great time. The vibe at this location is intimate and quiet, perfect for a date night. We would still recommend this location and would happily return.

Cactus Club is a place I visit often because it’s comfortable and reliable. You can always expect consistent food quality and service. The reason I’m writing this review is that our server yesterday was especially friendly compared to my usual experiences, which really stood out.

Recently celebrated my birthday at North Burnaby Cactus Club, we ordered Chili citrus Calamari, Truffle Parmesan Chicken, Soy Dijon salmon, Peppercorn Ribeye & Chargrilled Steak, food was excellent, service was excellent and the Atmosphere is excellent. Came with a surprise birthday creme brule and a Birthday wish card. I will be back again.

We celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday at Cactus Club in North Burnaby, and it was such a wonderful experience! We had originally booked a table on the patio, but when we arrived it was a bit chilly the staff were so polite and quickly helped us move inside without any hassle. The food was fantastic, and the Bellini drink was excellent. The team even surprised my daughter with a complimentary birthday cake, a sweet birthday message written on the plate, and a card which made our night extra special. The service, atmosphere, and quality of everything were top-notch. I highly recommend this location to everyone and will definitely be coming back!

One of my fave places to lunch with convenient parking in their vast lot. The day staff here is super spot on and nails my order every single time. However, I've dined here at night before and it's a complete 180....the incompetent male server got my order all wrong and the food wasn't as good as how the day chef does it 👎🏻 So it's best to come during the daytime before they switch to their evening staff.

I have been a White Spot customer for over 50 years. We visited this location at the end of August and my husband ordered their Blueberry Pie Bundle. The pie was a huge disappointment as the blueberries barely filled the crust. Not sure if they ran out of berries but better not to serve at all than to bring out a sub par menu item that's highlighted in their advertising! Service was also very slow both in taking our order and paying our bill at the end.

New gem down here! My new go-to Korean BBQ spot. Galbi Gilmore is always clean, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the meat quality is consistently great. That marblings on the meats! All of the side dishes are fresh and tasty, nothing feels like an afterthought. I live downtown but still make the drive because it’s that reliable. Parking is easy with underground parking available, and they validate parking for 90 minutes if you bring your ticket. Galbi is always a solid choice and never disappoints.

I’ve been looking for a good authentic Korean BBQ spot, and this place did not disappoint! The meat was super fresh, and the marinated beef literally melted in my mouth. A lot of places charge extra for side dishes, but here, the banchan (side dishes) were amazing and they give plenty without any extra fee! The service was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The staff were so attentive, always checking in to make sure our grill was perfect, refilling side dishes right away, and even helping us cook the meat at the right temperature. Everyone was friendly, polite, and made us feel so welcomed. Definitely a hidden gem and a must visit for anyone who loves Korean BBQ! 🔥🇰🇷

The meat was super fresh, and everything we had tasted really clean and well made. I especially loved the doenjang jjigae full of flavour but not salty at all. They also kindly served some housemade Korean winter kimchi, which was such a nice surprise and a real treat. And the parking area has different lift to the ground floor to go to the restaurant

I was honestly so impressed with this place! The whole restaurant was spotless, and every dish we ordered tasted amazing. Even my son, who’s usually super picky about food said he’d never had meat this good before!! He loved it so much that he ate more than he ever does😆 The food came out really fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, we had such a great experience here, and we’re definitely coming back again!

Is the best pizza ive ever tried, you can taste all the flavours separately and it explodes un mouth, their pizza is not salty like any other places, the honey on the pepperoni honey basil pizza balances out the saltiness and makes it perfect, their crust has plenty of flavor and is not too thin or thick, i would recommend 100%

I love that this restaurant is close to the sky train. Easy to get to from my house. Great service and nice staff. Food was served promptly and as advertised. The yuzu tea was good and even had a real lemon in it. The burnt shoyu hits the spot on this cold rainy day. I visited Kinton Ramen for the first time about two weeks ago during their half-off promotion. There was quite a long wait, but the experience was still pleasant. The server was especially kind — he came outside while we were in line and handed out menus, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Original Pork Ramen, and it was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful without being overwhelming, and the noodles had a great chewy texture. As a nice bonus, we also received free pins and a coupon for free gyoza that day. Overall, it was a great first experience, and I’d definitely come back!

This is a hidden gem in an office building under the stairs. Very well organized fast comfort food takeout (two tables for dine in only) place. Can order via machine cashless, cashier with cash or online! Mainly served people working around the area. I am amazed with this little place balancing efficiency, organization and tasty at the same time!

Just got to Vancouver from Toronto and thought we’d give this place a shot. Food was very delicious and portions were generous. Owner and all staff were really kind and nice and the service was quick. You can also see that the kitchen is super clean and neat. The definition of a hidden gem. I go out of my way whenever I'm in the area during their open hours. They serve the most delicious Korean rice bowls. Very generous portions and super flavourful. My favourite is the Meat Lovers, which comes with beef, pork & chicken. You can also pay more to swap the base for all japchae noodles. Always glad to support this exceptional mom & pop shop. Not only is their food incredible, they are super kind and welcoming. Cannot recommend them enough!

Good poke bowls at this burnaby location. Ordered the seared tuna bowl with salad greens. Very tasty! The tuna tastes very fresh and the portions are quite reasonable. I like the addition of the edamame and radish sides too. Will come back again.

The owner? guy is really nice and patient. They season the fish and some toppings with sauce in a mixing bowl separately so the whole bowl is super flavourful compared to other poke places that only drizzle on top. All the sauces are super yummy too. Much much tastier than Steve’s poke

Very similar to all of the other Big Ways except I was disappointed with their meats. they weren’t restocked and the leftover scraps were kinda frozen/stuck together so people were trying hard to pry them apart. That part sucked cause everyone was try to get more meats but couldn’t. Other than that fun experience and I always love the free ice cream at the end. They’re always so good and I like how they rotate flavours. This time we got taro and it tasted like the OG powder bbt taro which I love.

My first time here last Sunday for lunch; family had been there before, and my daughters loved it from their first visit. Simple concept as other reviewers already explained. You pick your veggies, protein etc. Pay by weight. Lots of good selection for vegetarians as well. We were seated quickly. Food was brought to us also very quickly. You need to be careful of the quantity you pick up front, especially if you pick noodles. With broth overall it gets very filling! They give a scoop of ice cream on a cone for dessert. Overall I enjoyed it and would visit again.

I visited this restaurant and overall had a good experience. The food quality was excellent, and the ingredients were extremely fresh and high quality, which was very noticeable. The cashier was also very polite, friendly, and professional. However, the main weakness of this restaurant was the service. We raised our hand for about 15 minutes trying to get someone’s attention, but no one responded or came to assist us. This was quite disappointing and negatively affected the overall experience. I hope the management addresses this issue, because with better service, this restaurant could offer a much better experience for customers.

Super tasy. Good quality. I didn't wait too long but it was line up after me. Edit: This time I liked it more. After my first experince, I knew what should I choose which I enjoyed more this time. I got more see food and less spice level. Ice cream is still so good. Only bad thing for me, when you eat something reallly hot, I am getting hot too. Place is supeeeer hot. They should have AC or get a low level of heater. I was boiling while eating it. Also, music level can be a little down at rush hours because it is super loud environment, with pack of costomers, so hard to make conversation. Overall, so good. Deffinetly come back.
