My husband and I recently visited Cactus Club Lougheed for a much-needed date night after weeks of nonstop shifts. It was pouring rain that evening, which somehow made the night feel even more special.
We didn’t have a reservation, but we were warmly accommodated. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the food was nothing short of delicious, truly enjoyable from start to finish.
The only hiccup came around dessert time. It took about 20–30 minutes for dessert to arrive, and we honestly felt like leaving at one point. After dessert, it also felt like we had been there the longest and were just ready to head out. We later found out that our server had been pulled into handling a very large party (18–20 guests that kept growing), which explained the delay. The server did apologize, which we appreciated, but since we were served by about three different people throughout the night, it wasn’t always clear who to approach when we needed something.
That said, the dessert was absolutely worth the wait, and the food overall made the experience enjoyable. Despite the small service delay, we still had a great time. The vibe at this location is intimate and quiet, perfect for a date night.
We would still recommend this location and would happily return.

Recently celebrated my birthday at North Burnaby Cactus Club, we ordered Chili citrus Calamari, Truffle Parmesan Chicken, Soy Dijon salmon, Peppercorn Ribeye & Chargrilled Steak, food was excellent, service was excellent and the Atmosphere is excellent. Came with a surprise birthday creme brule and a Birthday wish card. I will be back again.

Cactus Club is a place I visit often because it’s comfortable and reliable. You can always expect consistent food quality and service. The reason I’m writing this review is that our server yesterday was especially friendly compared to my usual experiences, which really stood out.

First time at a Cactus Club Cafe and I was more than satisfied with my experience. The drinks and food were of high quality and the servers attentiveness should be noted. They work well and work fast, always around when you need them. The place is very pricey but you are geting exactly what you pay for and that is a high quality dining experience.

Chose CCC as this was my niece's choice to celebrate her birthday on a busy Saturday night. I've not been for years but was really impressed with the food and especially with our service; our server was excellent

One of my fave places to lunch with convenient parking in their vast lot. The day staff here is super spot on and nails my order every single time. However, I've dined here at night before and it's a complete 180....the incompetent male server got my order all wrong and the food wasn't as good as how the day chef does it 👎🏻 So it's best to come during the daytime before they switch to their evening staff.

Food was good service was a little slow.I think they were busy. Or maybe they forgot me. There was a brief wait to be seated even though there was nobody in front of me.

For the first time I ordered the take out Christmas dinner for two. It was incredible! Such a generous amount that we have leftovers for today! The food was delicious and the complimentary apple pie was a lovely bonus. What a deal! It comes with complete instructions for oven or microwave so it was dead easy. I may never cook again! Well done White Spot!! Best $52 I ever spent.

I absolutely love White Spot, the food is consistently excellent and I always end up ordering the same favorites because they’re just that good.
The burgers are always spot on, the pasta Alfredo is rich and comforting, and the salads are fresh and well-balanced. Honestly, everything on the menu I’ve tried has been great.
It’s become a regular monthly visit for me because the quality and experience never disappoint. Easily one of my go-to spots.

I had a great experience ordering from Quiznos. The sub sandwich was absolutely delicious—fresh bread, perfectly toasted, and packed with generous, high-quality ingredients. The flavors were well balanced, and everything tasted fresh and made with care.
What really stood out was the staff. They were professional, friendly, and clearly attentive to detail. The order was prepared accurately and on time, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s refreshing to see such good customer service along with consistently tasty food.
Overall, Quiznos delivers excellent quality subs and outstanding service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying, flavorful sandwich and a positive experience. Will be ordering again!”

Absolutely loved the sub sandwich—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even better was the staff: very courteous, welcoming, and attentive. Clean place and fast service. Will definitely visit again!”

I’ve come to this location a few times now and always served by Karamjit. My sub is always exactly how I want it and she’s always a pleasure to see. Smiles and greets. Clean space to eat in. I would recommend this location.

I ordered the lobster sandwich, but unfortunately, it had a noticeably fishy, old taste that was really off-putting. It didn’t taste fresh at all and was far from what you’d expect from a lobster dish. While the server was friendly and attentive, the quality of the sandwich just didn’t measure up. Disappointing overall, especially given the expectations for a seafood item.

If I were the owner of Galbi, I would feel proud of the service because the staff are very efficient. However, from a customer’s perspective, the experience feels rushed. We hadn’t even finished our drinks when the bill was brought to the table. Since there were no customers waiting for tables, it made the place feel more like a fast-food restaurant — eat fast and pay fast — rather than a relaxed dining experience.
Overall, the food quality and taste are just average. The green onion pancake, steamed egg, and beef tartare were okay but nothing special.
The marinated beef rib fingers were quite salty and not recommended.
The dishes I would recommend are the bean paste soup and the fresh beef short ribs.

We just stopped by because it was close to North Van, but I think we’ll be coming back a lot! The food was so good, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

New gem down here! My new go-to Korean BBQ spot. Galbi Gilmore is always clean, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the meat quality is consistently great. That marblings on the meats! All of the side dishes are fresh and tasty, nothing feels like an afterthought. I live downtown but still make the drive because it’s that reliable. Parking is easy with underground parking available, and they validate parking for 90 minutes if you bring your ticket. Galbi is always a solid choice and never disappoints.

Food selection is very limited and prices are quite expensive. We came for dinner knowing it’s primarily a bbq place but hoping they would serve some Korean dishes like soups. However the soups were only a lunch time thing.. which is quite disappointing.
We got a few bbq meats but it came to be very expensive. Cheapest you can do is $26 for 2 pieces of pork, anything beef would be more expensive. The daily specials are worth it… but it only lasts until 4:30pm. The selection of bbq meats is also very limited.
For a kbbq place, there’s probably better places in town which lot more variety and dishes.

I was honestly so impressed with this place! The whole restaurant was spotless, and every dish we ordered tasted amazing. Even my son, who’s usually super picky about food said he’d never had meat this good before!! He loved it so much that he ate more than he ever does😆
The food came out really fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Overall, we had such a great experience here, and we’re definitely coming back again!

I visited because it’s newly opened near Gilmore Station and had high expectations. I ordered the Funghi pizza, which comes with mushrooms, cheese, and Alfredo sauce.
The crust was decent, but overall the flavor was very bland and disappointing. It lacked depth, and nothing really stood out. For a small size priced at $20, I don’t think I would order it again.
Given that it’s a new place, I was hoping for more, so this was a bit underwhelming.

The smoked salmon pizza here is absolutely amazing. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, topped with generous slices of fresh, silky smoked salmon. Definitely a must-try

Got the 2 slices and pop deal for $10 and was pleasantly surprised. I thought only pizza garden was good, but I'm really happy with the slices and there were many options when I arrived. I hope they will continue to be busy and survive until the rest of stores open as it is a tough location at the moment.

I had high hopes for Kinton Ramen Burnaby, especially given its reputation and the steady crowd, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations.
We ordered the Meal for Two combo, which included a Pork Original Ramen, Beef Original Ramen, Age Gyoza, drinks, and later added a Value Meal featuring a Pork Value Ramen and Spicy Tokyo Fries.
Starting with the ramen, the Pork Original looked appealing with its creamy broth and thin noodles, but the flavour was surprisingly muted. The broth lacked the rich depth and complexity that makes a memorable bowl of tonkotsu ramen. While the pork slice was tender, the overall bowl felt one dimensional and left me wanting more.
The Beef Original Ramen was the biggest disappointment. Beef ramen can be difficult to execute well, but this bowl lacked the bold, savoury character I was expecting. The broth tasted flat and uninspired, and the beef didn’t add much flavour to elevate the dish. I’ve had far better beef ramen elsewhere, and this wasn’t one I would order again.
The Pork Value Ramen was slightly better, especially with the added egg, seaweed, and mushrooms, but it still suffered from the same issue: a broth that lacked depth and a flavour profile that never really developed beyond the first sip.
The Age Gyoza was decent, with a crispy exterior and juicy filling, but it wasn’t particularly memorable. The Spicy Tokyo Fries were probably the highlight of the meal. Crispy, generously seasoned, and packed with a satisfying kick, they delivered more flavour than any of the ramen bowls.
On the positive side, the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive, and food arrived promptly. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and inviting.
Unfortunately, when you’re visiting a ramen restaurant, the ramen needs to be the star of the show. While the service and atmosphere were good, the broths lacked the richness, depth, and flavour that I expect from a quality ramen shop. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and not one I’d rush back to for another bowl.

A group of four of us visited this place for lunch at 12:30 PM. There was a line, and we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. I ordered a beef Original ramen, and the beef was tender and delicious, with a tasty broth. Although I prefer my ramen a bit softer, it was still enjoyable. I recommend this spot for a quick meal. The staff were also nice and welcoming.

We visited Kinton for dinner and were generally disappointed. The staff were friendly but service was slow and we had to constantly wave them down for things. The space is really clean and has a nice aesthetic. The food was mixed too. Really liked the donburi and ramen was pretty good. Gyoza was not good. Fries were fine but nothing unique.
Gurv - a month ago
Good ramen. We got the pork original and it had all the toppings I like and expect, including an egg. The flavour of the soup is pretty basic but I liked that it was not too heavy and fatty. Usually I feel a little nauseous after pork ramen because of the fat but I didn’t feel that after my meal. The gyoza is just ok. Price is very reasonable. It would be nice if they had wall hooks for big jackets. The temperature inside is pretty high.

Upon walking in, a pleasant aroma immediately welcomed us. It was our first time here, we had an appointment nearby and found the restaurant with a quick Google search at lunchtime. We shared the clubhouse sandwich and the Spicy Chicken Bibimbap, and both were fresh and flavourful. The staff were very welcoming and made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend!

This is a hidden gem in an office building under the stairs. Very well organized fast comfort food takeout (two tables for dine in only) place. Can order via machine cashless, cashier with cash or online!
Mainly served people working around the area. I am amazed with this little place balancing efficiency, organization and tasty at the same time!

Wonderful halal chicken. Unfortunately, the gravy is not halal. The establishment is clean, and the food was prepared quickly with kind, friendly service. It’s a very nice location overall. Paid street parking can be a bit difficult to find, but there is paid underground parking just around the corner. There are only three seats available for dine-in, so it’s best suited for takeout.

This KFC is relatively new, and it's located at Gilmore Place. It's more of a takeout place as it has limited seating. The Chicken tasted fresh and I enjoyed their chicken sandwich.

Clean place…..but it is still brand new 🤔
Teller person was very polite this time .😊
Chicken was ok….still a bit too greasy unfortunately and not enough crunch….imo 🤔
Over all, it has improved since first opening with the service and food quality ! 👍👍
Anyway, not quite as tasty/crunchy as Popeyes but the price was decent.
Similar to Churches chicken taste wise except greasier.

Great experience at Pokerrito's Gilmore location!
Made a huge take out order of about 25 people and got our food super quickly. Everyone's order was correct, even the folks who did the build your own bowl got their orders right too. Sun and Carol were the only two working there, and they absolutely killed it! It was my first time having poke, and I will definitely be going back after this.

The staff here were SOO nice.
We happened to just stumble by and it was my partners first time having poke (he has a lot of allergies so it can be intimidating). With the great service that was offered, he was able to have a really nice experience and I really appreciate how friendly the server was!

The owner? guy is really nice and patient. They season the fish and some toppings with sauce in a mixing bowl separately so the whole bowl is super flavourful compared to other poke places that only drizzle on top. All the sauces are super yummy too. Much much tastier than Steve’s poke
