Fresh slice at Joyce St. is one of our favorite pizza stops. We always order a whole pepperoni pizza as it is cheaper if you are a Family. The place is clean, smells good, and the staff are very friendly. Pizza's are freshly made and the dough, sauce, and toppings taste fantastic and not greasy.

Alhamdulillah this is my go to place for halal meats. The prices are so affordable. The gentleman and his wife are so nice, polite and humble. Excellent customer service. Some of the items are even tax free. They will also give you free bag if you want one. May Allah bless them and grow their business even more.

It’s a great place to buy halal meat and asian foods (Pakistani and Indian items). Shoaib bhai is a down to earth guy, I recommend this place over Al-Salaam meat because Shoaib understand what Indian and Pakistani people eat and how should the meat get cut.

If you are looking for Poha, sooji, and other indian products, this is a great store - kind of a combination of day2dey and frewticana type stuff. Does not have fruits and vegetables, but has meat products. Indians around the area should take a look.

Great selection of Indian foods / snacks, even in their frozen foods sections. You can find a more specific selection of spices that you wouldn't find at a Superstore/Walmart. I appreciate they also accept a variety of payment options including Amex.

Lovely spot for cheap but high quality Japanese food! Great portion size for the price, fresh sashimi and sushi options! 100% recommend the chicken karaage! Note there is quite limited seating and often gets busy for takeout orders! Overall, a lovely experience, will come again!

This was my first time here, and food was amazing, service was fast, staff was polite and its pocket-friendly. Definitely recommended if u crave nice sushi or bento box❤️

Sushi Taku used to be one of my favourite sushi places, and I often recommended it to friends. However, my last visit was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Beef Roll bento, which included California rolls, beef teriyaki rice, salad, tempura, and miso soup. Unfortunately, the salad seemed to be made with leftover or undesirable lettuce. The salad sauce had changed, resulting in a lack of taste and flavor. The beef teriyaki was overly dry and lacked flavor as well. To make matters worse, I found a hair in the miso soup. The only items I enjoyed were the California rolls and tempura, although I noticed that the size of the California rolls had been reduced. Overall, my lunch experience was unpleasant, and Sushi Taku will no longer be my favourite spot.

First time ordering from here and was amazed with service and the food was so good!!! Sushi was all fresh and the sashimi were huge. Great value and will definitely order again. The part I love is the pieces don’t fall apart when you pick it up. The only thing I have to say is they give you paper bags so with a large order it is hard to hold. I wish there were handles on the bags to carry.

It’s a very bready, more dough heavy pizza. Like eating cheesy bread. Comparable to Yummy Slice Pizza in taste but not as good as Freshslice pizza in flavour. The crust could be cooked more as it’s not crunchy and still a bit moist and soggy and borderline undercooked. The tomato sauce used is also put on quite thin (see pics) and more tomato sauce would make it taste better as there was barely any tomato sauce on the pizzas. The Italian sausage pizza was one of the better flavours. Does the job of feeding you.

This place is comparable to freshslice, definitely "fresher" and less greasy. The boss was okay, no smiles coming from him but no attitude either. Just okay $3 per slice is a good price. It's thick crust, not thin so that's more filling too. The dining atmosphere isn't the greatest, unless you enjoy quiet spots. However, during lunch hour this place will get pretty busy and there isn't much of a view from inside the store. However, it is cozy though. Bear in mind there isn't much eating inside, and it can get tight in there. Not sure about the parking, but it is super convenient for skytrain transit.

Excuse my bite, but this is my slice of pepperoni. I’m a little bit disappointed that my slice only got 3 and a half pepperonis on it. After seeing so many great reviews on here, I was expecting at least they will not skim out on the ingredients but oh well, looks like there wouldn’t be a second time here. Rather get a $2 slice at costco tbh..

Super Great has been a staple in my life since my university days. There's something about their crust that just tastes amazing and the price has always been reasonable. The men who work there have always been very kind and respectful to me as well! The actual restaurant is not fancy by any means but it's pizza by the slice, what do you expect? Been eating here for a decade now, will continue to eat here whenever I'm in the neighbourhood!

I have been coming here for years, they have the best Chilean meat empanadas. And the chacarreros are full of flavour. Amazing variety of Latin American products. Fair prices, also the desserts are so delicious. The Torta mil hojas is moist and not too sweet. The bread is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Feels like an original tienda from back home.

Staff are really nice and the food is always excellent. The atmosphere isn’t a 5 out of 5 but it’s not their fault. Sometimes a homeless guy will be sleeping in the corner. It’s the neighborhood. It’s East Van.

This place is such a convenient and affordable Hong Kong style cafe! Randomly decided to walk in and see how the bubble tea was and was superseded at how great the prices were! I just got a regular Taro slush with pearls bubble tea this time around but I want to come back to see how the food is. They also have a bar which is fun. This is definitely more of a casual spot for friends than a first date location though.

Update: The Missus and I have eaten at or take away a number of times from Milk and Sugar BBQ Bar since the first review. The BBQ meats (Char Siu, Roast Duck, Roast Pork and Soya Chicken) are always tasty with steamed rice. It's at the top for Cantonese BBQ meats in the Metro Vancouver area. Highly recommend the food. ******************************************************* We were biking thru Collingwood and stopped here for lunch. Had the roast pork and chicken with rice and the Missus had bbq pork with rice. Food was decent and lots of seating. Price was reasonable for food in the area.

What a great snack at night! I love the small bbq pork on rice and it’s cheap with a big portion! Pork rice noodle is good too but it would taste better if it’s less salty! Both have good amount of meat with them, definitely recommend this place.

Ordered off DoorDash, Got the 2 protein with rice for $18.00. I must say, this was so freaking delicious. The BBQ pork was on point, great job to the chefs. It was flavourful, tender, and fatty. Soy chicken was also full of flavour and deliciousness. The sauce that came with it was great to drizzle over the food for the extra flavour. (don’t put too much though because it can be salty) Milk tea which came with the food was perfect. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the taste of tea was on point. I will definitely be ordering here again!! Great job!!!

Nice Corndog with many different sauce. I wound recommend the sugar coat in the end, it tastes great with chipotle sauce. The owner is really nice and friendly. The prices are really reasonable for delicious corndog. I got the mozzarella stick and the cheese is melting. Really great experience for cold days.

Found this amazing little food truck outside of Gaston Park today. Perfectly flavorful and crunchy corn dogs! Many options and sauces to choose from, reasonable prices and a very friendly owner. Highly recommend checking this out if you can. I know I'll be keeping an eye out for it whenever I'm in that area now. Delicious!

You absolutely have to try these corn dogs they are amazing!!! My girlfriend and I love to go to the Joyce SkyTrain location. Follow his instagram so you can see when he's there our favorite is the cheese filled one It's like the best mozza stick you've ever had! Ask for his suggestions for toppings trust me!

Part of my "empty plate" series. I got a corndog some time ago when the truck was parked outside Joyce-Collingwood Station for my partner and she enjoyed it. I went back for one last week and got a basic corn dog with hashbrowns and honey mustard sauce. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan--I thought the corn dog was okay, but the hashbrowns and sauce tasted a little off. It may have just been the sauce, though I don't think it was my taste buds that were the issue. Rating it higher, though, because of the good reviews I've had from those around me!

Delicious korean corndogs! You must get it with sugar (adds a nice extra crunch and goes well with salty sausage.. trust me) and chipotle mayo. Bigger sausage ones are def worth it. Hash browns (potatoes and sweet potatoes) is recommended if you want it to be bit more filling. It’s the best corndog I’ve had in Vancouver and possibly even compared to Korea :)

I had called beforehand and they said my food would be ready in 20 minutes but when I got there after 20 minutes I was told to wait another 5 minutes. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes! This is frustrating because I had called in advance and when I finally got my food I was asked to pay again even though I had already paid. At least the chicken was fresh and really good.

Food is good. Do not order through Google (Take order link) since it's much more expensive than at the store price and they don't tell you that. Got half and half for $30 online for pickup but in store it's only $25.

Lovely staff working the Joyce location when we visited Dec 6. I love those who treat my kids like... Kids. Not annoyances. My kids are very polite and I make them order their meals all the time. The cashier was very patient with them. (We didn't hold up any lines, it wasn't like that. We are pros at this lol). She was very polite back and even gave them a lollipop each. So nice! We love chicko chicken. It's our go to for KFC. My kid asks for this once a week and I don't blame him. Of course the chicken is yummy, but the fries are top notch! Only thing I suggest is pumps for ketchup (instead of individual packets) and more drink selection.

Cafeteria style Filipino lunch spot low on ambience with pretty good food. A little expensive for what you get. Had the Plato bento which came with lumpiang shanghai ( two pieces, very good and meaty), pork adobo with rice (4 pieces of meat), mixed pancit (canton & bihon, meh), rice and a bite of buko pandan. My companion had a combo special: bangus sinigang (milkfish in tamarind based soup), ginataan kalabasa (squash cooked in coconut milk with shrimp and string beans) and a big bowl of rice. Overall a decent meal, but with so many options out there, we won't repeat.

Plato is a traditional Filipino cafeteria style restaurant with a wide spread of cooked entrees. The food tastes really good, I especially love the laing (taro leaves in coconut milk), pork sisig (sautéed crispy pork), and turon (banana fritter with jack fruit). The service is friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that the staff members took their time explaining the dishes to non-Filipinos. The dine-in experience was uncomfortable for a few reasons. One, even though there are quite a number of seats and tables, there is no washroom in the restaurant for customers. They also keep the front door open even though it’s winter, meaning my food got cold quickly and you need to keep your coat on while eating just to stay warm.

Plato Filipino takes me back home with their authentic Filpino dishes. Name your favorite dish and they have it! I commend not only their appetizing food but also their great customer service. The front staff are nice and helpful. I recommend their Combo Special where you can choose any two dishes and a cup of rice. My husband loved their Lechon Kawali, Buko Pandan and Leche Flan. Yes, they have a variety of desserts as well! So many to choose from so we always make sure to order takeout. We will surely go back again. ☺️
