I visited this pizza store today and had a wonderful experience. Annette provided outstanding customer service. She was extremely polite, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. It’s rare to meet someone so kind and professional.
The pizza was fresh, hot, and very delicious. You can really taste the quality. I truly enjoyed my visit and will definitely recommend this place to others. Great service and great food!

This place is fantastic! I had such a great experience from the moment I walked in. The pizza was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with fresh toppings.I picked up 3 pizzas .
Beyond the amazing food, the staff truly made the visit special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything I needed. It's clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers.
And the restaurant itself? Spotlessly clean and incredibly organized. It's a real pleasure to dine in such a well-maintained and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this pizza place – it's easily one of the best!

This is my 8th time order here.. and probably the last time! This is not what I ordered! And there are lots of banana peppers inside which is upsetting my kid!!! Very disappointed!!!

A nice little corner walled sushi joint with good decent sushi rolls. Our favorite was the Pokemon roll. It was interesting and tasted really good. Salmon and tuna were very fresh and the roll portions were good.

Great neighborhood joint with very reasonable prices nd super friendly staff. Space is a tad small so be prepared to wait during busy times, but sushi we ordere was all extremely fresh! Will be coming back again!

I just ordered from them through Uber Eats, and I swear, their pizza is on the best in town! Their pizza is always so consistent, cheesy, and the crust is amazing. And for $16.50 for 5 large pieces is a mega steal!! Not only that, I had requested their homemade sauce on the side, however they sent me a new container of ranch sauce instead — free of charge! Thank you so very much!!

I’ve been going to this place once and awhile when I’m in the area for 6-7 years, it’s fantastic. The service is lovely, staff are so pleasant! It’s a small restaurant but they’ve made the most of the space!
The pizza is really good too. I’m vegetarian and only get the olive x banana pepper pizza and it’s fantastic, not too greasy, the dough is really good and the crust is delicious too. Plus $3.50 for a good slice is hard to come by. 10/10!

First time came to here for a slice of pizza was more than 20 years ago, and it was 99 cents a slice then…
Every time since then, when I had a chance to be in the area, definitely would come here for pizza.
Jay Fang - 8 months ago
I remember when this place had 99 cent slices. Now prices gone up, portions and quality gone down, yet childhood nostalgia always brings me back. Nevertheless, still better than the Freshslop nearby that's for sure...

I absolutely love it here. Great selection of goods, and my favorite: empanadas!!!
I got beef and chicken today. Still warm. The pastry is perfect!! You should go.
Lynne Turner - 3 months ago
I went there to have Coxinha, they fried it right away, it looked soooo good, good size and fair price.
But the filling wasn’t that good, they use some seasoning that it’s too strong and not good at all, unfortunately.
Also had a beef empanada it was good.
They have a variety of Latin American products, the prices are ok, some are more expensive compared to other Latin American stores.

I have being a client of this Bakery for the last 14 years since I move to Canada, one of the best Latin Bakery and Latin Grocery Store run by one single family in Vancouver. They pastry are to die for, alfajores and cakes, and anything you can think about, also they do catering, very friendly stuff. Very recommend.

Amazing treasure on Joyce St! It’s almost too good to be true. Fantastic Latino products and, being Brazilian, I couldn’t help but notice the great variety of all sorts of products. There were lots of pães de queijo, arroz, feijões, and other day-to-day products that we don’t usually find in franchise supermarkets. The snacks are perfect and, having tried both the pastel and the coxinhas, we just can’t recommend enough.

This is a great bakery. I really like the consistency of the food. It's always the same and very good. The store is quite tight inside, but does have many options. Definitely recommend.

I live very close to this Subway location and order from here frequently, and I can honestly say the quality is consistently excellent. The ingredients are always fresh, and the bread is amazing—whenever they are baking a new batch, the smell fills the whole corner and is absolutely delicious.
I work overnight shifts, so having this Subway nearby is incredibly convenient. Arsh, who usually works during those hours, is always kind, welcoming, and greets me with a smile every time. Even when I’m just passing by after work, he’ll wave from inside, which really stands out and makes a difference.
I also order during the afternoons on my days off or for my husband, and Kulwinder has always been just as sweet and polite.
They have always been just as kind and polite to my husband and brother, which I appreciate it very much.
Overall, this location has great food and even better customer service. I really appreciate the team here!

The staff is incredibly polite, friendly, and quick to help with any customizations or preferences. The atmosphere here feels warm and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to grab a meal. Whether I'm stopping by for a quick lunch or a more relaxed visit, it always feels like a homely place to unwind and enjoy great food. They also have great deals going online in their app, which I constantly use. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually do this, but I just had the greatest Breakfast Sandwich I think I’ve ever eaten in my life.
I just needed a quick breakfast, and it was close and convenient (literally attached to the skytrain station). Friendly servers, short wait, and a Sausage & Egg English Sandwich that did not taste like something I paid $5 for.
Quite literally everything about this sandwich was perfect. 5/5

I visited here late at night to grab a chicken burger, and honestly it was such a good experience. The food came fresh and hot, and it tasted really nice—exactly what I was craving at that time.I really liked how everything was still so well managed even late at night. I usually take out BBQ pork from here, but ordered a couple of house special items to go - the House Special Fried Rice and House Special Fried Noodle (each was $13). Very simple fare, but the price is affordable and the portion size is decent for two meals each. The chow mein noodles had a good soy flavour, and was garnished with onions, bean sprouts, and sesame seeds. The rice had peas, carrots and egg. Both had shredded chunks of BBQ pork that weren't exactly tender, but palatable as protein.
I was skeptical about the food having only ordered the BBQ pork before, but was pleasantly surprised and would order them again in the future! Solid spot located right across from Joyce Collingwood skytrain station.

This place is quite interesting — the left side serves Cantonese BBQ dishes, while the right side operates as a bar. When we visited around 3–4 p.m., the place was already very busy and almost full.
We ordered their special-priced BBQ pork rice. The taste was decent — nothing outstanding, but definitely acceptable. Considering the affordable price for the special, it was good value overall.

This place is such a convenient and affordable Hong Kong style cafe! Randomly decided to walk in and see how the bubble tea was and was superseded at how great the prices were! I just got a regular Taro slush with pearls bubble tea this time around but I want to come back to see how the food is. They also have a bar which is fun. This is definitely more of a casual spot for friends than a first date location though.

I ordered through Uber Eats and got the Any 2 BBQ Items Combination BBQ Pork & Roasted Pork with a Small Iced Lemon Black Tea. The addition of the steamed broccoli and the fried egg were a nice surprise with my meal.
The BBQ Pork had some end pieces which I always enjoy as they tend to be a bit more charred. The charred bits have some nice crunch that I really enjoyed.
The Roasted Pork had crispy skin and super juicy meat with some nice fatty parts as well.
The combo had perfect amount of food for the the price the egg had a semi runny yolk. I was very happy with the meal the iced lemon black tea was very refreshing with the meal on a hot day.
I have walked by the restaurant many times, next time I will go in and have what I am sure will be a great meal.

I've been stopping by Sunflower Kitchen lately, and it has quickly become my favorite spot in the Joyce area. Being so close to the Sky Train makes it incredibly convenient, but the food is the real reason to keep coming back.
The seafood pancake was amazing It tastes exactly like a home-cooked meal, which is such a treat after a long day of work.
The service is always fast and friendly, even when they're busy. It's a small, unassuming place, but the flavors are huge. If you're looking for a reliable, delicious, and affordable meal in East Van, this is the place to be!!

Have been to this location many times and the chicken is always consistently juicy and fresh.
I got the half and half; soy garlic and yangnyeom fried chicken with shake fries. The portion of the fries was quite little so I recommend skipping those. But the chicken portion is pretty decent

Chicken here is a solid thousand out of 100! These guys just go to show that you don't have to have great atmosphere to have the best chicken in town! The clientele here is solid as well! I'll take the Pepsi challenge on these guys all day! These guys make Church's Chicken and KFC look like the clown from Ronald McDonald, only they've lost their taste. Try them I'm not a salesperson but these guys you don't have to sell.

I had called beforehand and they said my food would be ready in 20 minutes but when I got there after 20 minutes I was told to wait another 5 minutes. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes! This is frustrating because I had called in advance and when I finally got my food I was asked to pay again even though I had already paid. At least the chicken was fresh and really good.

Would I recommend Plato Filipino? YOU BET I WILL! 👏
I’m based in Nanaimo Vancouver Island and ive gotta say, a visit to Plato Filipino New West was a highlight of my trip and worth taking the ferry for! (Dont get me started with the ferry woes am i right? 😅)
I devoured their Silog-All-You-Can and boy oh boy, i was full and ultimately satisfied: the daing and lechon kawali were crispy as they should, the tocino and longganisa were sweet & tasty, the eggs & sinangag were cooked to perfection!
Food is one thing and customer service is another, these two, for me, go together (its a must!) that said, Shout out to JULES, APPLE & ANNA whom I had a pleasure of meeting! More power 🫡
Next time you’re visiting the mainland, make Plato Filipino a must-go for your pinoy faves & all-time comfort foods and you wont be disappointed, trust you me!

I choose my favourite Crispy pork and Kaldereta. The Kadereta is delicious but the portion is not enough for what I paid for. I returned the crispy pork because it looked like they didn't know how to reheat the crispy pork, if I knew that's gonna happen I would have rather not to ask to chopped the pork.

This is a Filipino restaurant, cafeteria style. Lots of dishes that just brings back memories of home. I tried the torta and liempo, it was good!

It was my first time trying Filipino food recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint.
Their pork sinigang had good flavor and was not super sour as I feared.
I can't quite remember the names of the other dishes I had, but the Kare Kare was on point. Tender beef with a rich peanut style curry sauce. Just thinking about it makes me hungry 😋
My favorite had to be the pork cooked in shrimp paste sauce. It was very tasty and went great with rice.
One small complaint I had is that for the pork cooked in the shrimp paste sauce, the pork was a little old tasting and texture wise too. It wasn't the softest or most succulent of meat compared to the other dishes I had here.
You get one free rice, and in retrospect when they asked do you want to add one more rice? Yes. Absolutely. The was a lot of leftover sauce which felt too good to be wasted.
Plato Filipino's turon was also tasty, with a crispy caramel topped wrapper with banana inside.
For 16.50, I cannot complain. You get 2 dishes and a free rice. It fills you up and there is free water as well.
The restaurant interior was a bit too hot for my comfort, so we sat on their outside patio tables.
The service was quick and friendly, I like my food served with a smile.
Overall, 4/5 stars. I would absolutely come back here again.
Cold Otter - 9 months ago
If you’re a Filipino visiting Canada and suddenly missing home, Plato Filipino is that one place that will instantly fill your heart (and stomach) with comfort.
From the moment you walk in, you’ll fell like you are transported back to the Philippines. The ambiance is warm and familiar, parang nasa maliit na karinderya lang sa atin, but with a cozy, modern touch. Very home feels talaga siya.
The food? Absolutely satisfying. Every dish tasted authentic, yung tipong lasa mong niluto with love. Nakaka-relieve ng homesickness in the best way possible. Talagang masarap, no exaggeration.
What made the experience even better was the staff. Super mababait, accommodating, and welcoming, parang family lang ang dating. They made sure everything was okay, and you can really feel their genuine hospitality.
Overall, this place is more than just a restaurant, it’s a little piece of the Philippines in Canada. Highly recommended, especially for kababayans who are craving that true Filipino taste and vibe. 🇵🇭✨
