This place is fantastic! I had such a great experience from the moment I walked in. The pizza was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with fresh toppings.I picked up 3 pizzas . Beyond the amazing food, the staff truly made the visit special. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything I needed. It's clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. And the restaurant itself? Spotlessly clean and incredibly organized. It's a real pleasure to dine in such a well-maintained and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this pizza place – it's easily one of the best!

I met Annette at Freshslice, and she was absolutely amazing! She patiently walked me through all the discounts available on the app and even helped me install it step-by-step. The pizza she made was delicious — fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. I was so impressed after the first bite that I couldn’t resist ordering another one! Annette’s friendly attitude and great customer service really made my visit memorable. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I got the best deal possible. Freshslice Pizza offers great quality at a reasonable price. The pizza is delicious, and even though it’s affordable, they don’t compromise on quality. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always a solid choice!

It’s a great place to buy halal meat and asian foods (Pakistani and Indian items). Shoaib bhai is a down to earth guy, I recommend this place over Al-Salaam meat because Shoaib understand what Indian and Pakistani people eat and how should the meat get cut.

Alhamdulillah this is my go to place for halal meats. The prices are so affordable. The gentleman and his wife are so nice, polite and humble. Excellent customer service. Some of the items are even tax free. They will also give you free bag if you want one. May Allah bless them and grow their business even more.

Good grocery store for Indian/Pakistani food, spices etc. I bought some frozen foods from here that weren’t great, I ended up tossing them but I’m glad to have this place so close for spices and dry goods

Great selection of Indian foods / snacks, even in their frozen foods sections. You can find a more specific selection of spices that you wouldn't find at a Superstore/Walmart. I appreciate they also accept a variety of payment options including Amex.

Sushi Taku is a corner restaurant located on Joyce Street. They offer sushi at a reasonable price, and it's also tasty. I would recommend it if you want a quick bite and are in the neighbourhood.

Never been inside this restaurant (yet) as I always had the foods delivered to me. Everything was placed nicely in the takeout containers and soya sauce packet was nicely wrapped inside the napkins. I really like their assorted/deluxe sashimi as it was always fresh (I order weekly). Then we would explore their special rolls. So far I like the Pokémon roll the best 😂

A very good sushi experience! Every dish was full of flavor. The seating is limited to a few booths and tables. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to enjoy reasonably priced Japanese cuisine.

It's a decent sushi place. The food quality is decent, presentation is great, and service is very good. It's a small place and nearby to the Joyce sky train station. Parking available along the street side.

This is my GO TO takeout spot for sushi. Not once have I seen them empty on takeout orders or customers, because their sushi's keeps them coming back. They have sushi pizza, which isn't something you see very often. I love their generous slices of sashimi, nice and fatty. Some places will give you paper thin sashimi, but don't expect that with Sushi Taku. Everything tastes fresh here, and their waitresses are also friendly. It can be difficult to find parking though, if the street isn't available. Would I come back again? Absolutely. I love coming to this place🙂

I discovered this place upon moving to the neighbourhood 2y ago. Their spicy chicken with the fresno chiles, habinero, banana pepper and bell peppers hits 💯✨️🎯🎯🎯🥵🔥🔥 delicious and spicy. I horked down the slice in under 2mins. Not a bad value, either with a can of diet coke (which, you all know is the way to my heart 🔥💯). Nice guys here, too!! I feel bad Fresh Slice is across the street bc this place is far superior. 💯💯💯💯

First time came to here for a slice of pizza was more than 20 years ago, and it was 99 cents a slice then… Every time since then, when I had a chance to be in the area, definitely would come here for pizza.

Always have a great meal when I order from here. Today, it was super busy and the owner still took time to correct a small change in my order. My favourite is the pesto chicken pizza, but everything is honestly great. Everyone is super kind and friendly- definitely recommend visiting :)

I haven't been here in a few years. Ordered spicy beef & a pepperoni slice. Spicy Beef slice was underwhelming & cold. They don't warm up slices when you order. Pepperoni was pretty tasty. Good cheese coverage. Ordered another pepperoni slice to go. Crust is thinner now. Just a few years ago, 2 slices & a pop was 4 Bucks. Now the combo is 9$ Seating is cramped. Cafeteria style table & seats. People must have been much thinner when this pizza place first opened. Lol Guy serving slices was friendly.

Good place and usually good pizza but I just got some. Didn't realize at first but the girl gave me some slices that look like they've been sitting there since the morning, can barely bite down on the crust. Would've appreciated an extra slice or at least get me to wait for some fresh pizza.

Amazing treasure on Joyce St! It’s almost too good to be true. Fantastic Latino products and, being Brazilian, I couldn’t help but notice the great variety of all sorts of products. There were lots of pães de queijo, arroz, feijões, and other day-to-day products that we don’t usually find in franchise supermarkets. The snacks are perfect and, having tried both the pastel and the coxinhas, we just can’t recommend enough.

I went there to have Coxinha, they fried it right away, it looked soooo good, good size and fair price. But the filling wasn’t that good, they use some seasoning that it’s too strong and not good at all, unfortunately. Also had a beef empanada it was good. They have a variety of Latin American products, the prices are ok, some are more expensive compared to other Latin American stores.

I like this place just for the empanadas, beef and chicken are my favourite! I've tried their desserts a few times and being Latin I have a high standard for this type of traditional desserts and at least when I tried them they tasted old, nothing exiting! If they didn't have Chilean empanadas I wouldn't probably go back

I have been coming here for years, they have the best Chilean meat empanadas. And the chacarreros are full of flavour. Amazing variety of Latin American products. Fair prices, also the desserts are so delicious. The Torta mil hojas is moist and not too sweet. The bread is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Feels like an original tienda from back home.

I ordered a Tres Leches cake from Panaderia Latina Bakery for my girlfriend’s birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! The cake was incredibly moist, perfectly milky, and just melted in our mouths. The flavors were rich but not overpowering, striking a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. It was beautifully decorated and truly a centerpiece for the celebration. Everyone at the party couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. The customer service was also top-notch—friendly, efficient, and attentive. I’ve been coming to this Subway for the past 2+ years, and it’s consistently been a fantastic experience. The sandwiches are always built with care, fresh ingredients, and a clean atmosphere. The staff working specifically the 3rd of September around 1am, really did me a solid with my Subway order. Despite being busy, all my requests were met. The quality of the food was outstanding. Best location in Vancouver without a doubt and that’s coming from someone who is a subway regular. I only wish all locations would put as much love and care into their food as this location does. The bread was so fresh and soft, it was awesome after a long day at work to order something late night that’s actually fresh, tasty, nicely packaged, still hot and loads of veggies stacked into it. I really appreciate it especially since last time I ordered subway from knight street, it was a pile of hot garbage I received. Joyce location all the way! Thanks kitchen team!:)

It's our favorite Subway, especially because of Arsh. Great guy, always welcoming, and when I get there and it's him, I already know the order will be well-made, well-served, and with the instructions followed to the letter, and if there's any wait, it's always a pleasure because of the good conversation and friendly atmosphere. I only didn't give it 6 stars because Google doesn't allow it. 😅

Service is great but cleanliness wise, they need to do a little bit better specially during late night or early morning. I understand that it gets busy sometimes but the staffs need to clean up a bit more. There’s trash all over the kitchen floor and food prep counters were not wiped!! *will change this review if its better next time im in the area

Listen. I rolled into this A&W at 3AM after a very spiritually educational Grindr hookup, and honestly? This place felt like the afterlife’s waiting room but with better onion rings. First of all, the cashier looked at me like he absolutely knew what I had been doing and I respect that kind of perceptiveness in customer service. Per them more.

I ordered through Uber Eats and got the Any 2 BBQ Items Combination BBQ Pork & Roasted Pork with a Small Iced Lemon Black Tea. The addition of the steamed broccoli and the fried egg were a nice surprise with my meal. The BBQ Pork had some end pieces which I always enjoy as they tend to be a bit more charred. The charred bits have some nice crunch that I really enjoyed. The Roasted Pork had crispy skin and super juicy meat with some nice fatty parts as well. The combo had perfect amount of food for the the price the egg had a semi runny yolk. I was very happy with the meal the iced lemon black tea was very refreshing with the meal on a hot day. I have walked by the restaurant many times, next time I will go in and have what I am sure will be a great meal.

Definitely not the greatest place to visit nearby. Only positives I could find is that it streams UFC fights and the beers are decently priced. Other than that, I think that other reviewers summarized it perfectly: the meat is not fresh and the spices are not pleasant. Atmosphere feels normal with a democratic crowd, but service was almost robotic.

This place is such a convenient and affordable Hong Kong style cafe! Randomly decided to walk in and see how the bubble tea was and was superseded at how great the prices were! I just got a regular Taro slush with pearls bubble tea this time around but I want to come back to see how the food is. They also have a bar which is fun. This is definitely more of a casual spot for friends than a first date location though.

The food is inconsistent. Some days the BBQ is fresh. Other times. It's like the crunchy roasted pork was kept in the fridge for days then reheated: the skin is rubbery. It's not worth ordering the two meat rice dish. They give as little meat as possible. Better to chance getting the single meat dish.

Have been to this location many times and the chicken is always consistently juicy and fresh. I got the half and half; soy garlic and yangnyeom fried chicken with shake fries. The portion of the fries was quite little so I recommend skipping those. But the chicken portion is pretty decent .

I had called beforehand and they said my food would be ready in 20 minutes but when I got there after 20 minutes I was told to wait another 5 minutes. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes! This is frustrating because I had called in advance and when I finally got my food I was asked to pay again even though I had already paid. At least the chicken was fresh and really good.

It was my first time trying Filipino food recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint. Their pork sinigang had good flavor and was not super sour as I feared. I can't quite remember the names of the other dishes I had, but the Kare Kare was on point. Tender beef with a rich peanut style curry sauce. Just thinking about it makes me hungry 😋 My favorite had to be the pork cooked in shrimp paste sauce. It was very tasty and went great with rice. One small complaint I had is that for the pork cooked in the shrimp paste sauce, the pork was a little old tasting and texture wise too. It wasn't the softest or most succulent of meat compared to the other dishes I had here. You get one free rice, and in retrospect when they asked do you want to add one more rice? Yes. Absolutely. The was a lot of leftover sauce which felt too good to be wasted. Plato Filipino's turon was also tasty, with a crispy caramel topped wrapper with banana inside. For 16.50, I cannot complain. You get 2 dishes and a free rice. It fills you up and there is free water as well. The restaurant interior was a bit too hot for my comfort, so we sat on their outside patio tables. The service was quick and friendly, I like my food served with a smile. Overall, 4/5 stars. I would absolutely come back here again.

Feels like home! Yummy homestyle Filipino dishes! We got the 2-dish promo and tried the kare-kare & pork steak. We bought biko for takeout too. Generous food servings. Pleasant, clean & tidy restaurant. Very warm & friendly service from Karen & Ricks. We'll try the other dishes next time!

I always come here for that good old nilagang tendon. It's a bit chilly today so I though I deserve one. The taste here is so good for my taste, as always. Its my first time dining in 'coz I always have it to go. And for today's order, I find the serving a little bit less than usual. I hope they are consistent with their portioning.
