Came for dinner. Overall the food was ok… typical White Spot food. We had all ordered some flavour of a burger or sandwich. Everything on the plate was ok, except for the fries. They tasted burnt and very dry, like they’ve been deep fried several times.
The picture I took is actually a refill, thinking that maybe they had just served us older fries, but they came the same way. When we asked the server about the fries, she went to the kitchen to check and came back saying that the fries were all like that.
Disappointed, but I guess you can’t really expect much from White Spot 😔

I met a former work colleague at the White Spot for lunch. We haven’t been at this location in eons as the former Richmond Centre site was easier access for us. Parking at the Ackroyd location can be challenging but we lucked out.
We had the Monty Mushroom and the Legendary burger platters. The burger and fries were all to your usual White Spot quality and standards. The service was very businesslike without any chit-chatting. Like all restaurants, White Spot is also not immuned to inflationary costs but we were offered bottomless fries.

Haven’t been here for a while — veggies are fresh, chicken portion a bit small. Great service, comfy seating, perfect for chatting with friends. Nice location with free parking!

Nice spot for Dinner for one. Server and host were polite and I was seated quickly. The server was friendly and my order was correct. The food was gluten friendly and very tasty. Location was convenient just a short walk from Sheraton Airport Hotel.

Always a pleasure to eat here
Though the burgers are honestly all getting smaller and smaller
Even the scoop of cole slaw is now only 1/2 the size....

Was okay service. Could not really understand the cashier (didn’t get her name) and it seemed like she was being so quick about it when there was no line up behind me - but it may be because since it was about 15 minutes until closing time. Took a while to get my food. I feel like there should be more drink options for the fountain. You get extra sauces as a bonus (I’m not sure how) and I noticed when a customer asked for salt, the cashier gave him a few which I found generous since many places don’t do that.

Tokyo Joe is one of my go-to sushi spots, and it never disappoints. I keep coming back because their sushi tastes truly authentic and reflects real Japanese quality. The ingredients are fresh, the rolls are well-balanced, and the flavors are consistently excellent.
On my most recent visit, I ordered one salmon avocado roll, two house rolls, two spicy salmon rolls, a dynamite roll, and an Alaska roll—all for just $65. That’s an amazing deal considering the quality and portion sizes.
The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the dining experience even better. While the seating and service area is a bit tight, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience.
If you’re looking for authentic Japanese sushi at reasonable prices with great service, Tokyo Joe is definitely worth visiting.

Such an awesome place. The owners are super awesome, I used to go here growing up since i was three and the lady even taught me how to use chopsticks. They got rid of their signing musical fish unfortunately though. We do not live the BC anymore, but every time we make the long drive back to visit, we make sure to stop by this restaurant. The service is so quick too. Literally the only cons about this place is that i wish i lived closer to it and that it still had the singing fish🐠

Although we ordered takeout, the sushi roll was in perfect shape. The White Tiger Roll is delicious, but a bit pricey. It's filled with fried shrimp tempura and imitation crab, then topped with fresh avocado slices and ebi shrimp. However, eight pieces of sushi are enough for two people to enjoy a light snack.
Cindy Xu - 6 months ago
Tokyo Joe Sushi was decent overall, but it didn’t really stand out in Richmond’s crowded sushi scene. The rolls and nigiri were fine and service was solid, but the pricing felt a bit steep for what you get, especially when there are plenty of other Richmond spots offering similar or better quality for less. It’s not bad by any means, but the value proposition just isn’t very compelling compared to the competition. Also it’s cash or debit only.

I ordered a party tray of sushi here for my son's party, and I also bought my own dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The sushi was absolutely delicious! Since the party was on a boat, the staff kindly provided extra chopsticks and soy sauce for over a dozen people. We were even given a complimentary box of edamame when we opened the order.
I will definitely be ordering from you again for future parties.

I have seen this food truck for a while and finally caught it when it's opened. Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.
The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.
Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.
A must try in richmond.

This spot is great for a nighttime snack, the skewers here cost less than the ones at the Richmond Night Market which is nice. 🍢👍🏻
Although they have an order online page on their website, it didn't work for me so I just called them to order.
When I arrived I was able to pick up quite quickly and they tasted great too. 😋

Service is excellent. Hotpot soup base is flavorful. Good meat quality. Price on the high side. The sauce / snack / dessert bar is worth it. They promote paying by cash. If you wanna pay with credit card, you will need to complete a survey in order to waive the transaction fee.
We went there for dinner the other day. Price is a lot more expensive. Given there are lots of hotpot places elsewhere, it’s becoming more competitive.

Our party size was over 20 ppl, so we had an entire area to ourselves. I was quite impressed with the service we received. The staff were efficient and attentive and they topped up our soup proactively. We mostly ordered meal sets which came with a good amount of food. The wagyu was very tender and worth the price. The only downside was that I felt the amount of vegetables that came with my set was a bit lacking.

Tried the new late-night AYCE menu at Dolar Shop Richmond after 9PM and it was good overall, with some nice highlights like Wagyu beef and salmon & tuna sashimi included. The selection covers the basics and the quality is solid, so it definitely satisfies a late-night hot pot craving. That said, for a similar price point, ChoCho still feels like the better value with a wider variety and a more generous spread, making it the stronger AYCE option if value is the priority.

Went for lunch during happy hours and they had a special menu going on and decided to go with that.
Food options came with free bar and made it very acceptable for its higher prices. There is also free ice cream at the end.
The servers were very helpful and explained a lot of their options. Very impressed with their knowledge.
The atmosphere was amazing as it feels very high end. Even the washrooms were very good, clean, and well maintained.
Would come here again for special occasions. 5 stars overall.

Had such an amazing birthday dinner tonight at House of Dawn in Richmond. From the atmosphere to the food, everything felt elevated and memorable. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and the service truly made the night special.
A huge thank you to Yunsu for taking such great care of us throughout the evening. Your kindness, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made my birthday celebration feel extra personal and welcoming. It’s rare to come across service that genuinely leaves an impression, and you absolutely did.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with incredible service and a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back again.

We recently dined at House of Dawn Steakhouse and had a mixed, mostly positive experience.
The Japanese Wagyu ribeye (20 oz) was quite possibly the best steak I've ever had. It was tender and flavorful. The truffle mac and cheese was also excellent—the house-made pasta had a wonderful chewy texture that elevated the dish beyond a typical steakhouse side. Other dishes like the King Salmon and side of asparagus were overcooked or bland. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately, there were a number of flies present in the restaurant, which detracted from the dining experience. Additionally, both of us developed nausea and stomach discomfort following our meal. While it's impossible to know exactly what caused it, the timing was concerning and left us with mixed feelings about what was otherwise a memorable dinner.
The quality of the food itself was outstanding, especially the steak, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the issues we encountered afterward.

We had an amazing dinner at House of Dawn Steakhouse today. We ordered the Tenderloin BMS 9+, F1 Japanese Wagyu, and Wagyu Bolognese, and everything was surprisingly delicious.
The steak was incredibly tender and almost melted in the mouth. The Wagyu Bolognese was also very impressive — rich, flavorful, and full of aroma. Our server Yunsu was especially wonderful, with a very friendly and attentive attitude that made the whole dining experience even better.
Honestly, this restaurant can definitely compete with, and even beat, many of the well-known steakhouses in Yaletown. The quality of the food, service, and overall experience were excellent. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place!

Was here with my partner and 4 other friends for their DineOut menu. The 3 course meal was delicious and an amazing deal, the value was incredible for how delicious and well thought-out everything was. The service was also very attentive, and they even brought out an extra dessert for the 2 newly engaged in our group!
I got the wagyu tartar, Denver charcoal grilled steak, and creme brulee. Honestly the best steak I've had, it was perfectly done and seasoned.
If you want a top tier steak for an amazing deal during DineOut then this is a must try.

Update: The restaurant was proactive in contacting me to rectify the double tip and issued a refund. I appreciate the prompt resolution and have updated the overall rating to 3 stars from the previous 2.
While I was generally pleased with the food and knew what I was getting into with a high-end steak house, I was left with a very sour impression after I realized I had doubled tipped. I was not informed about the auto-gratuity of 18% which I did not expect as we were only a group of 6 (including 2 kids who did not make a mess). So I tipped an additional amount, essentially tipping twice. Restaurants usually inform you of an auto-gratuity, so I did not appreciate that. The service was not so impeccable to warrant an 18% auto-gratuity either. It was not bad, but standard. They did gift us a dessert for our birthday which I appreciated, but they chose to bring it out (with lit candle) when the birthday person was in the bathroom. If it was stellar service, they would have waited for birthday person to come back. I did enjoy the food and it’s nice to have a high end steak option in Richmond. The decor is also beautiful. Unfortunately after unknowingly paying 30% gratuity, I’m left with a very bad impression.

This restaurant made me a surprise, this is not a restaurant only , it has a children playland on the left, and the "circular sushi" on the right!
Plus the playland ends in 5:30pm , and the sushi starts at 5:30pm till to the dinner time!
Playland is good for the kids party, have slides and mary go around and etc
The circular sushi have the train on top which is the one when we order through the QR code then the train will start and deliver to the table, which is amazing!
Prices is not that expensive and affordable, plus with the circular belt to transport the foods!
This is an excellent place place for kids and family to enjoy for the day!
Great!

This is a revolutionary place for parents to bring the family to eat and play! I've seen nothing like it before, but it's a perfect idea for parents. The young toddlers can play all they want while the parents eat or relax.
The food is very good, and service is amazing, right down to the train delivery of your food or drinks!
Staff are friendly and fast, and admission and food prices are fair.
Everyone has to wear socks in there, no shoes allowed, so it's very clean! The staff are always cleaning, and have scheduled times to organize and clean the various play areas, so it's well kept! The ball pit seems very clean as well. Great place for you and your kids to enjoy!
Head on down with your family!

The space is clean, cozy, and perfectly set up for kids to play safely. The staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was very relaxing, and the food was enjoyable for both kids and adults. I highly recommend this place. Typical hole in the wall, with very nice contemporary ambience. A few tables in a room with very pretty drawings and doodling on the walls. The menus are in Chinese but the guy at the counter speaks English and volunteers to help you order. His claim is that “no other place in Vancouver offers authentic Chinese food like he does”. I believe him. The food was not oily, veges delicately cut and cooked, not too much sauce, delicate flavours intertwined with perfect cooking of the meats. Rice is on the house. Loved every single dish we ordered. I actually haven’t eaten such good Chinese food anywhere except at a colleagues house back in China. And that’s why the food is so good; it’ll remind u of home cooked food in China.

It is SO good, perfect portion, taste, price and service. I can’t be happier and I will be back. I love my free I cream cone, love also a separate option to choose anything to be fried with amazing flavours. The soups are lovely, thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, especially with the rainy weather the hot soup is perfect.

Piping Hot Hotpot delivers a solid, satisfying hotpot experience. Broth options are flavorful and aromatic (the curry broth has a good kick without overpowering), and the ingredients are fresh and well-presented. Thinly sliced meats cook evenly, seafood is clean-tasting, and the vegetable and noodle selections are plentiful. The dipping-sauce bar offers a useful variety to customize flavors.
Service is attentive and helpful with broth recommendations and pot timing. The dining room is lively and casual — a great spot for groups. Prices are fair for the portion sizes and variety.

We tried Piping Hot Pot in Richmond and overall had a prety good experience. The pricing is noticeably better than Big Way, especially considering the wider range of options available. There’s a solid selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and add-ons, so it feels like good value for what you pay. The sauce bar was clean and well organized, which is alway important for hot pot, and there were plenty of choices to customize your dipping sauces. A nice bonus was the free drinks and fried items, which help make the meal feel more complete without extra cost.
The broth was decent, but it’s hard to say which place does it better without trying more soup bases. That’s something we’d like to come back and explore, since broth quality really makes or breaks a hot pot experience. Overall, Piping Hot Pot is a good option in Richmond with fair pricing, good variety, and some nice extras that set it apart. We’ll likely return to test more soup flavors and compare them more closely.

The ingredients were fresh, and the deep fried food tasted great. The hot pot included a drink, and a complimentary taiyaki ice cream was given at the end of the meal. The tables and chairs were very clean. However, for a self-service hot pot restaurant, the prices were on the high side.

Food: 5/5
Cleanliness: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Price: 4/5

First time try Piping Hot. There are some broth which peaked my interest. Black pepper and the Jiang Su Sour. I ordered the black pepper but find it not as pepperish but u can tell the base is quite thick and I personally prefer white pepper. There is a fried and soup section for selection which has a pretty good variety. The free ice cream at the end is quite unique. Fried bread with ice cream. Worth a try!

This is a comfortable and clean spot that provides a great relaxing area to catch up with friends over some easy-to-eat food and beer. While the yakitori options are limited, they are certainly enough to fulfill the need for quick, satisfying snacks.
My favorite part of the meal was definitely the Beef Tongue, Chicken Heart, and Grilled Corn—these are absolute must-try items and worth the spotlight! The flavors in all the dishes are good, but those three stood out as exceptional. Everything else was decent, but those specific skewers are what I'd come back for.
I really love the modern Japanese wood interior decoration. The overall mood is moody, comfortable, and dim, featuring contrasty lighting that shines right down on the dining table. This intentional lighting makes the food look incredibly photogenic!
The service we received was excellent. Our Cantonese-speaking waitress was polite, friendly, and very attentive. She took the time to walk us through the menu, highlighting popular items and what was worth a try. She also introduced us to the four different dipping sauces for the yakitori. I particularly liked the daikon sauce. The cilantro sauce brings a nice freshness to the meats, though it might be a bit overpowering for some. No complaints—great service!
The pricing is decent, and I'm happy to see another option open up in Richmond! While it's not the absolute best yakitori I've ever had, I would definitely come back to try their other skewer options.

Come here hungry and curious. A menu that plays with textures, bold flavours, and just enough creativity to keep things interesting. Perfect for sharing.
• Mexico Style Charcoal Grill Corn – smoky corn meets creamy, tangy, slightly spicy toppings.
• Chicken Thigh with Leek – juicy, smoky, and perfectly charred, with sweet leeks balancing every bite
• Thousand Layers of Chicken Thigh – thinly layered slices stacked into a tender, almost buttery bite
• Garlic Scallops – loaded with garlicky goodness
• Pork Jowl – rich, fatty, and tender with crispy edges
• Chicken Skin – dangerously addictive. Crispy, lightly blistered, and glistening with rendered fat
• Angus Short Ribs – smoky, beefy, and deeply savoury
• 12 Hours Sous Vide Beef Tongue Sandwich – tender beef tongue tucked into a sandwich.

My first time here. I like the grilled meat, yakitori, pork belly and enoki mushroom beef. All are pretty delicious and grilled to perfection. Ambiance is perfect. I came in before 11pm, and sushi and sashimi are not available anymore, the server said they’re avalable only till 9pm(restaurant closes at midnight and last call is 11:30) the prices of wine and sake are on the higher range, especially sake prices are very high. So I opted for wine, but most of the wine in the menu are not available, and thats very disappointing. Anyway I have a good time. My experience here is ok!

This restaurant is truly a treasure. The balance between deliciousness and price is perfect, and its cost-effectiveness is outstanding.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is excellent, and the deliciousness dances on the tip of the tongue.
The service attitude of this restaurant is very good, and the environment is also very good. It is clean and tidy. The food not only has an attractive appearance but also has an excellent taste, with a perfect combination of color, aroma and flavor, leaving a lingering aftertaste.
The dishes here are very diverse, and the taste is also very good. I highly recommend it to everyone! Every time I come here, I can taste different deliciousness, and it's really hard to stop eating.
The dishes here are very fresh, the cooking is just right, the saltiness and sweetness are moderate, and the serving speed is also very fast. Although the portion is not large, it is exquisite and delicious, and it can stimulate one's appetite greatly.
The dishes are very complete, and the taste is excellent! Every time I come here, I can eat with peace of mind and satisfaction. I strongly recommend it to my friends!

Really great spot for late-night eats! The grilled skewers are the highlight juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Each skewer had that smoky aroma that goes so well with a drink.
The brussels sprouts, though, were a bit too oily for my taste flavorful but quite heavy. Still, they pair nicely as a bar snack or side dish if you’re having drinks.
Overall, it’s a cozy and satisfying place to chill with friends, enjoy good skewers, and unwind over a few drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you love yakitori-style dishes!
